In my Air Force career and management position with a Department of Defence contractor I participated in multiple highly classified programs. If anyone participating in these programs was as sloppy in handling classified material as Hillary Clinton and her staff did they would be charged, brought to trial and most likely put in jail. Some were for doing far less that Hillary and her staff did. Just take Comey's words and replace the Clinton references with a non-political person and ask yourself, would the FBI have recommended no charges for willful disregard of the national security of our nation, or not?

Today’s the Day the Rule of Law Died: “The events of the past week would give any rational person sufficient grounds to believe that the fix was in, and has been all along.”

Bill Tozer

Hillary was not cleared today. She was not charged. The FBI statements are indeed damning. Gross negligence proven beyond any shadow of doubt. State secrets were put at risk. Whether the unauthorized setup was for convience or to avoid FOIA, the investigation proved beyond any reasonable doubt that My Gal's talking points were a lie, no matter how carefully she worded "I have not received or send any e-mails marked classified." FBI today said "no way, Jose." Now this moves into the political realm, which means the court of public opinion. Only poll that matters is the ballot box.

Bottom line: if Hilary were to apply for security clearance today, the FBI would deny the security clearance request, hands down. Lest we forget.

Back to beautiful views and God's country.

George Rebane

Exonerate - "to clear, as of an accusation; free from guilt or blame; exculpate".

Russ Steele

Austin Bay, a retired US Army Reserve colonel and Iraq veteran.

Today, the FBI sold out the Rule of Law in America. After describing clear evidence of extensive mishandling of classified national security information, FBI Director James Comey announced that the FBI will not recommend indicting former secretary of state Hillary Clinton. This is naked crony government, ugly and exposed. Comey’s decision will go down as one of the government’s worst assaults on truth in its War on Honesty.

Today’s press conference was, in many respects, an exercise in legal and cognitive dissonance. Comey acknowledged Clinton sent and received Top Secret emails that “any reasonable person” understands not to discuss on an unclassified system.

Red flags? Excuse me, sir—that’s a crime.

Comey also acknowledged her email system was housed on unclassified personal servers that lacked full time security systems. Indeed, nations and groups hostile to the U.S. could have hacked the system. Comey acknowledged “hostile actors” hacked individuals corresponding with Clinton on her unauthorized system. She also used her unsecured personal system outside of the U.S.—in places where sophisticated adversaries could hack her communications.

Comey called this careless. Sir, it is reprehensible. It is reckless disregard of American security.

Then he said he would not recommend indictment.

This is beyond outrage. Everyone who has carried a Top Secret clearance and had access to Top Secret information knows that Clinton has criminally violated the laws protecting classified information. These laws serve a purpose. Protecting security secrets is essential to protecting America.

E-mailgate is over, , time to move on. Sure, I can only wish Hillary would propose something to stop the flood of illegals entering our country. I can only wish Hillary was as passionate of going after ISIS as she was going into Libya, I can only wish she was held accountable for her total disregard for handling info as Secretary of State. I can only wish that anytime anyone pokes around to anything even close to the Clinton's did not uncover a cesspool of corruption from before Web Hubbel to today. I can only wish........

We live in a lawless world. I can only wish it wasn't that way. We live in a world where governments are increasing corrupt and have become self serving and serve perpetuating. FDR ran the the entire World War 2 with a WH staff of 100. Obama has a WH staff of 4,000 and growing with no World War.. I can only wish I live in the country I was raised in.
Expect Hillary to get a 8 point bump. Hillary has proven time and time again she can outsmart all of us...us meaning the World.
Moving on. Only one person in the world that can hold her feet to the fire. Trump, and he will have to go it alone.
Hillary comes out smelling like a rose. My mistake was underestimating the seemingly depths and width and breath of corruption. Talk about no borders. The fix was in not when Bubba and Loretta met. No, the fix was in from the day one.

Read 'em and weep. After we are done walking around with ice packs on our heads, we will continue the fight.

Walt

It's OFFICIAL! The U.S.A. is now a certified banana Republic.
Corruption at the highest levels is perfectly legal.
Notice something else? No city street is filled with angry mobs, and burning buildings.
What gives? Once again "we" the people get bent over and take it hard and dry.

Jon Dozer

then move to Canada or Mexico.

Au Revoir or Adios. Not sure your preference.

Walt

Better yet "jon",, the likes of you go first. You would still vote for Hillary if you could. A corrupt, vote pandering, political whore is just your style. No amount of criminal activity would sway your thoughts.

George Rebane

This is one of too many cases to count in which military personnel and civilians have been prosecuted for doing less than Hillary.

The rule of law isn't dead, it lives and applies to us little folks or "the unwashed." As in "Animal House" we are all equal, but some are more equal than others. The stink from Washington D.C. is becoming unbearable.

As in "Animal House" we are all equal, but some are more equal than others.

Animal Farm......"Animal House" was a movie about the hijinks at Delta House!

I'd kill to know what dirt the Clinton machine got their hands on to bend the FBI to their will. Had to be something on Barry.

Walt

You got it Fish, they have him by the short and curlys for something. They found a dead hooker under his bed? Manufactured some good photos in a fabricated compromising position?
" You see things our way,, or these find their way to the press, AND your wife. Then of course, you could wind up like Vince Foster... We were found blameless in that midnight job too. The park is dangerous at night."

fish

Then again we should also consider how valuable a venal, ambitious, and wholly corrupt candidate can be given the right set of circumstances.

"She is compromised to the point she will do whatever she is told to do.

The value of that situation, if you hold her bag of secrets, is incalculable if she wins the presidency.

And she will be a billionaire when all is said and done."

I'm no attorney,(OK Barry P.,, this is where you pipe up) but it looks like many a criminal is going to reference this "new" interpretation of "intent" and "negligence".
If someone fired a gun in the air last night, and the bullet fell and killed or injured someone,, well the F.B.I just gave that person an out.

Scott Obermuller

We can survive Ms Clinton. We can not survive a nation of voters that will select her as president.
Still - let us remember that most of us thinking adults knew Nixon was lying about his role in Watergate - even as he rode to a great re-election victory, and yet we were relived to see him him driven out of town shortly there after.
Mind you, I'm not holding my breath. Any Republican admin will, perforce, involve a smattering of decent and honorable folks. Hillary is among nothing but knaves and supplicants or worse (toadies).
The courts may provide some succour to us who seek the truth about what went on. The lawsuits prying open info from govt agencies are proceeding and even the State Dept may find enough type writers to push out some damning evidence provided enough paper is budgeted for. Exonerate is, for now, a proper term for what she faces criminally. There is still the court of public opinion and legion are the lefties and Clintonites who will not show their faces nor appear in public to try to take the law's side in this matter.
It is just possible, just possible, that at some point some of the most ardent and fervent supporters of Hillary will grow weary of providing cover for her and her misdeeds.

Walt

You mean the likes of the "jon"? Not a chance Scott. It's Progressivism before country every time.
Many a Lefty do like their guns as much as "we" do. Yet look what went down here in Ca.

Gregory

Both Trumpers and Berners are pissed... it may well be that Trump will get more Bernie bumps than Hillary does.

It really isn't exoneration... just a recommendation to not prosecute. Many violations of the statutes but no criminal intent. The curious thing is that Comey also made it clear that others have been and will be subject to those statutes, and what he didn't make clear is that they don't require criminal intent. All it takes is gross negligence in handling classified material, in Hillary's case the material handled with gross negligence ranged from Confidential to Top Secret... by the classifications they were given at the time.

If Trump can't win with this windfall of campaign material, he really doesn't deserve the office.

Gregory

Checking, Jeffie hasn't had any friends say hi at his website for a day and a half. Will you be his friend?

Walt

Gregory.. You would think the circle jerk would be in full swing "over there" with all the blue meat that has been offered up for the LIBS today. Yet you report it as a digital tumb.

Scott Obermuller

Walt at 5:45 - jonnie boy? I spoke of his ilk in my 2nd sentence.
As far as those who would provide cover - I speak of the anointed and the power brokers and the columnists.
jonnie boy is a peasant with no power beyond that of one vote (he hasn't the wit to figure out how to vote more often than that) and general annoyance. Alone, he is an odious odor - collectively - a national disaster.

Walt

I bet Congress doesn't have the balls to bring her up on charges for lying to THEM.
Which now has been proven beyond all doubt.

Bill Tozer

Walt, I liken this to a drunk driver. The drunk may have not intended to kill that single mother and cripple her child for life, leaving her orphaned. Extremely careless? Yes. Violation of the law? Yes! Feeling the law does not apply to the drunk driver? Yes. Intent to kill and injure? No. Nothing to see here then.

Funny, we suckers on the right have been called the ignorant knuckledraggers from the evolved civilized left. They are the superior ones, we are the savages, or barbarians if you prefer. Yet time has proven over and over again over the last 150 years at least, that the right are the ones who believe in law and order, believe in the guy with the white hat going out and bringing the law breaker to justice alive. We are the ones who stop at the red light at 3 in the morning when no one is looking. We return library books.
The left are the ones skirting the law and the Constitution at every opportunity they can, making up the rules as they go along, moving the goalposts, and have two set of laws....one for them, one for everybody else. They are all about totalitarianism to achieve their goals while the right believes strongly that we are a nation of laws. The lefties believe we are a nation of men, while the uncouth inbred Righties do not follow that reasoning.

I submit to you we knuckledraggers (educated or not) are the civilized ones while the left has proven beyond any reasonable counter argument that they are the barbarians. Not because of this one case, but rather because of the way they behave and respond to anything that gets in their way or all thing that they perceive as a threat to their worldview..
Yes, Walt, the civilized right had no mobs on the street, no rioting and no arson. No yelling kill the pigs or having the new Black Pathers outside the polling places with clubs. No means justifing the ends, no total disregard of immigration law or any law deemed to be contrary to the political narrative. We voiced our opinions and passions and when the results don't go the way we want them to, we may be vocal but civilized in the end.
Not true with the barbarians from the left. Totally different world views. Play by the rules for the civilized ones (conservatives) and storm and overthrow Rome as our leftist barbarians do.

"Totalitarianism is a political system where the state recognizes no limits to its authority and strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life wherever feasible." They are the barbarians, the savages.

New Marching orders from your female leader. Is she referring to Mr. John McCain, the guy responsible for her right wing fame? :)

GOP ‪#‎NEVERTRUMP‬ TRAITORS - HILLARY DELIGHTS IN YOU, FOR SHE CAN'T WIN WITHOUT YOU

Ironic, tragic, but not unexpected - amidst America's Independence Day celebrations the Ruling Class put another boot on our neck to snuff liberty's life out of We the People.

It's a farce that "no one is above the law" and my heart goes out to all who've been unjustly accused and destroyed over much lesser crimes than Hillary's.

We MUST redouble efforts to restore the rule of law that had sustained the most exceptional nation on earth, with everyone doing their part:
* Don't put blind faith in any politician, but don't give up on our forefathers' charters of freedom that created a Republic to be governed by and for We the People.
* Teach your children America's foundation built on the rule of law; ensure they understand consequences for their actions, despite our temporary leaders facing no such thing.
* Unite behind those who have no part in the corrupt political machine that would mock, silence and destroy the outsiders committed to serving for the right reasons; oppose all who campaign one way but govern another once they get to Washington and get sucked in to both party establishments that reward and protect their own.
* Get your boots on the ground and work for what you know is right for our country's survival. Don't just preach to the choir - infiltrate and influence outside your comfort zone to empower others to take a stand against the Left's devastating fundamental transformation of America.

Letting Hillary skate today is no surprise when the team she's on has celebrated its administrators pleading the fifth, over and over again, sending messages to America that they're all above the law. From the IRS's Lois Lerner to Hillary herself testifying in front of Congress, they've all told Congress to kiss off, and Congress kissed off.

Today's FBI forgiveness of tyrants' illegal acts illustrate purpose in why I insist Americans rise up and tear down this tyrannical system that is destroying America from within. Truly, you're either with us or you're against us.

Message to all the "Republican" elites throwing in for Hillary, boasting they'll stay home instead of vote because their particular weakened good ol' boy is not the GOP nominee (the R.A.T.s suffering chappedass because their power and purse are threatened by the grassroots movement to destroy their failed politics-as-usual), Hillary thanks you. She knows she can't win without you.

- Sarah Palin

Jon Dozer

"Teach your children America's foundation built on the rule of law; ensure they understand consequences for their actions," S. Palin

Wise words from the mother of Bristol Palin. Mom done good.

Scott Obermuller

From our little jonnie: "Scott, you better prepare yourself then my friend, with hundreds of rounds of ammo in your Idaho bunker. A couple years worth of potatoes, bible and several assault rifles should suffice."
I find it more than amusing that everything jonnie thinks about me is false. He's wrong every time and it never seems to penetrate his skull. Maybe being factually wrong is some sort of rite of passage among the idiots he associates with.
No bunker - no ammo - no potatoes - no assault rifle.
OK, we do have some Bibles. Pretty scary, huh?
Otherwise jonnie - you're batting zero.
And that's why America can't survive with idiots like you that don't care enough to learn what is true.
If jonnie or any one else would like to defend Ms Clinton in all of this - please speak up.
What - no takers? That's exactly as I predicted.
Hillary Clinton is as crooked as a dog's hind leg and the left knows that and will support her anyway. All jonnie and his left-wing ass lickers can do is throw insults at S Palin? Pssst - jonnie - she's not running for president. Hillary is. Try to focus.
Get some meds or something.

Jon Dozer

"ass lickers"? Man, I have noticed you bible thumpers tend to be the foul mouth types. Not suitable for family values.
Speaking of such- Love the concept of the Trump/Gingrich ticket. Could not possibly keep up with the count of all the lawsuits, dalliances and divorces in that pairing. Holy Shiite. You Evangelicals/god fearing Christians will support him anyway, right Scott?

Scott Obermuller

Oh, jonnie boy - keep'm comming! Yeah, I think that's an apt description of people that want their leaders to be lying crooks.
And because I said we had bibles at home, I've now become a 'bible thumper'. Too much.
And to prove he's an idiot, jonnie boy once again falsely accuses me of supporting Trump after I have told him directly I'm not. Twice. Reality is a hard thing for a you, isn't it?
The topic is your gal - 'the adult in the room'.
Having a hard time defending her now, are we?
The lawsuits to pry loose more of the truth are moving forward. There are some Dems that are starting to have buyers remorse. Drip, drip, drip. The truth does out, eventually. Hillary might have escaped prosecution for now only to be slowly roasted over the fire fed by her own pack of lies.

rl crabb

More than ever, we are facing an election where the choices are diarrhea or constipation.

Todd Juvinall

The reason I see here why people call you four letter or better words "jon" is because you are a namecalling pompous ass dripping with sarcasm and unapologetic. So until you become known to us you are simply a troll and fair game. Live it love.

Scott Obermuller

No, Mr Crabb - you are wrong. But the party bosses love you for continuing that line of thought.
It would be nice this November if Americans thought about the requirements for our highest office and voted for the person they thought would be the best one for the job.
Of course, it involves independent thought and knowing how to spell a name correctly.
Therein lies our nation's greatest problem.

fish

All jonnie and his left-wing ass lickers can do is throw insults at S Palin?

I'll take diarrhea every time. I guess that means Trump?

Glad the missus is feeling better RL!

The only surprise here is that you all act so surprised. I second Norm's statement. We are a cast society just like any other. Anyone on this board who commits a crime this morning will post bail and be home in time for dinner. A kid on the street will rot in prison for a year and half awaiting trial because he can't post bail. Even if he is found innocent, he's still done a year behind bars while you whine and dine. I don't care if it is Clinton, Bush, Obama, or Trump, they all dwell in a stratosphere where rules that govern our lives simply don't exist to any real extent. Don't pretend that the kid on the street, you, and the elite are all playing on the same level field. Never has been, never will be. Suck it up and be done with your faux rage at the machine.

jon smith

Damn spell checker. Caste society.

Scott Obermuller

Aha - another jonnie boy checks in. The first 'defends' Hillary by trying to slag S Palin. The second jonnie tries his deflection game by pointing out the justice system isn't perfect. He actually claims we should just put up with the fact that the wealthy and powerful get a pass.
OK, I'll be nice and add the second jonnie to the list of 'persons happy to wipe their tongues along the backsides of the powerful'.
Oh - BTW second idiot jonnie - you are wrong about who gets to post bail and skip on home. It just isn't quite that simple.
The topic is Hillary Clinton, gentlemen - I notice the left has yet to even try to defend her.

jon smith

"you are wrong about who gets to post bail and skip on home. It just isn't quite that simple. "

What part of posting bond do you not understand? A kid that does yard work for us spent 7 months in jail because he couldn't come up with 10% of a 100k bond. He was released without charges when they realized they had the wrong guy. You or I would have posted that bond in a few hours. What part of this scenario do I "not get?"

The topic is Hillary? Haven't seen her name in many posts. And and just why would I defend her?

FBI's reputation crumbles with Clinton email fumble: Glenn Reynolds

Glenn Harlan Reynolds 12:03 p.m. EDT July 6, 2016

Like the IRS and the Secret Service, more and more of the federal government is no longer trustworthy or competent.

“I’d rather have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother in the FBI.” That quote from the Alabama Securities Commissioner appeared on the front page of the Wall Street Journal in 1980, referencing the feds’ unwillingness to go after financial criminals. But it’s a sentiment that may be shared by a lot of people given the FBI’s recent record.

Bureau Director James Comey’s press conference, in which he laid out an extended record of misconduct by Hillary Clinton, but then announced that he wouldn’t recommend prosecuting her, was just the latest in a series of very visible FBI failures.

The FBI had interviewed deceased Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, after being warned by the Russian government that he was a threat, but still did nothing. Three people were killed and more than 260 were injured as a result. The FBI also investigated in advance, but failed to prevent mass shootings by Fort Hood mass shooter Nidal Hassan and Arkansas shooter Carlos Bledsoe.

The FBI made a ”mistake” in the background check for Charleston mass shooter Dylann Roof. As the Washington Post reported, “Comey said Roof should have been prevented from buying the .45-caliber weapon used in the shooting, which authorities have said was motivated by Roof’s racist views. The political repercussions of the June 17 massacre at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston led South Carolina to remove the Confederate flag from its statehouse grounds Friday.” Said Comey, “The thought that an error on our part is connected to this guy’s purchase of a gun that he used to slaughter these good people is very painful to us.”

It was also painful to the families of the 9 people who were killed.

It goes on!

Good god, how do we calm down the German-American guy from Idaho? :)

Its simply a General election year where progressives will do well..really no reason to be so agitated.

Bill Tozer

Well, I guess a partisan such as moi has nothing to say but "Drats, foiled again." I was not kidding when I said that the Clinton Machine is the most impregnable and formidable foe in my lifetime and probably my daddy's and his daddy's lifetime.
Hillary right now is out there slamming Trump and even saying "rigged" referring to the Donald's business practices in New Jersey. New Jersey's problems are all due to Trump seven years ago in 2008-2009. Must say My Gal is something special.

Back on main point: Even though the FBI's statement yesterday does not make common sense to the esteemed lawyers and high school dropouts alike, we forgot that shit don't stick to the Clinton's, albeit it sure smells like it does.

http://theweek.com/articles/634051/why-clintons-always-escape-axe?yptr=yahoo

The G-Man did rip up to shred every single one of Hillary's statements concerning her private server(s). From the one device connivence story, to every statement she made including the last one immediately after her FBI meet and greet about never sending or receiving correspondence marked classified. He proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is a liar, an extremely reckless liar. Always a silver lining.

Wrong again, jonnie boy. Not that it seems to make a bit of difference to you. Most amusing you are. Keep posting. Keep being wrong.
I notice you've not defended your gal, jonnie - cat got your tongue?

And jonnie No2 admits he let this splendid young lad rot in jail because being a good leftie means never, ever get your own wallet out for the downtrodden in society. That's for some one else to do. What's a matter - 'fraid he wouldn't show up in court?
That tends to be the problem these days.
"The topic is Hillary? Haven't seen her name in many posts. And and just why would I defend her?"
Yes, jonnie No2 - the topic is Hillary. Apparently you can't read any better than the first jonnie.
No, you don't have to defend her, but why are you trying to deflect from the issue at hand? Hmmm?

Bill Tozer

In a loosely related story, the Canooks are also scratching their heads wondering about ass backwards legal interpretations, disregarding evidence, and WTF decisions.. Oh Canada.

Obie-
From bible thumping to diarrhea to ass licking you sure can get off the Hillary topic, but lo, someone mentions Hillary's position in our caste system and you are jonny on the spot trying to redirect traffic. I'm guessing you simply can't accept what myself and the good Mr. Sauer have to say about a tiered system of privilege. From all four corners of the globe it has always been this way and always will be. Whine, grovel, and deflect all you want (with a kraut accent perhaps), but tell me what you are actually going to do to change human nature.

Jon Dozer

nothing jon. Otherwise, in most other nations, GW Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld would be in prison for documented war crimes.

I'll answer the man from Idaho.

No progressive is anywhere close to being in love with Hillary, but you gotta go with the candidate with the superior policy prescriptions, priorities and governing experience FOR THE NATION AND THE WORLD. The alternative of the egomaniacal, racist, failed-businessman, orange-haired, dangerous phony is out of the question. He would attempt to set our nation back 50 years, at least if you believe the rhetoric spouting out of his loud trap.

Bill Tozer

Finally Dozer @ 1:15 pm, you came out and said it. Spot on. Now we can start a dialogue. Yes, nobody, but nobody is doing backflips over My Gal, except those fine ladies older than moi who want to see a woman president before they die. But, they ain't doing the Charleston over that woman either. Fair enough. And sure, you and millions upon millions would eat their young before voting for that Orange Orangutan Trumpf. Hey, needs no explatanion, it's how you feel. Can't argue with feelings or your right to spout your convictions....finally!
We are making progress here. Those jabs at German-Americans was kinda weird, but a few German-Americans prefer to be called Americans. I read that in Ripley's Believe It or Not. I just learned the Limeys call the Heidi people "Huns". Learn something new everyday.
Well, that is all I wanted in the first place. Yes, in the final analysis, you are stuck with my Gal and I am glad to be stuck with Trump. Winning a battle goes not mean winning a war. Just ask Crazy Horse.
So, you finally answered a friggin question or more accurately
.........gasp!......you volunteered something from your heart instead of hurling rocks from up in the hills down upon the rest of us as we are sitting around the ole campfire singing songs and toasting white marsh mellows.
Told you what we have here between Your Gal and the Orangutan is a Mexican Standoff. I think you guys play dirty, but that is the hand we are dealt. Love the one you're with and all those other lyrics.
Hey, Dozer, I take that as an olive branch. The doctor did tell me I have a heart and even took pictures. Don't worry, I won't ask you to say "something stinks in Denmark". You are right. Bottom line is no kicking it to the Grand Jury. However, it is fun watching you squirm, sweat, and dodge the bullets whizzing past your Gal. You are two for two in a week! Benghazi and Damn E-mails: Dozer 2, German-Americans 0. Good job.

The lesser of two evils won't work in this election because the evil level is so high on both candidates. I'm voting for Gary Johnson, Libertarian or Jill Stein, Green Party.

Dump the corrupt Repubs and Dems

Jon Dozer

A worthy goal Paul, but Drumpf is too dangerous to our nation.

Jill Stein's goals sound great on paper, but upon closer inspection and comparison to reality, they make Bernie Sanders look like Paul Ryan.

re JonD 151pm - Trump the "failed businessman". The reader who does not assiduously follow the flow of party talking points may be reminded that desperate Democrats are now telling their minions that Trump doesn't have business skills. That they themselves have a very limited acumen about business, commerce, and enterprise is well established and memorialized in their building legacy of business stultifying regulations and higher taxes and government fees. This ignorance is reflected in the cited comment in which Mr Dozer repeats the dog whistle charge that Trump is deficient in enterprises from which he has amassed a multi-billion dollar fortune.

The tendril they grasp for comfort here is that Trump has taken some of his interests into bankruptcy, as have most entrepreneurs controlling large corporate empires in the course of maximizing shareholder value. To the socialists all this is at best a mystery and at worst evidence confirming that the business of business is bad.

Jon Dozer

He and his companies have been sued over 3500 times in his career. I would say that's a bit excessive, but then again, he chronically stiffs his subcontractors and vendors. More to come in the next several weeks. Much more..

Jon Dozer

We also have no idea of his true wealth and annual levels of income. Need the tax returns, but they would likely be way to embarrassing to reveal. He'll be the only modern Presidential candidate to keep them hidden.

Jon Dozer

What to make of potential Drumpf VP's running for the doors? Only saps left that want the job appear to be two politicians otherwise going nowhere- Christie and Newt. God what baggage...

Paul Emery

Jon

I'm inclined to go Libertarian but am actually crusading for anyone but the Dems or Repubs. IF they were able to get into the Presidential Debates I'm guessing they would pull around 30% and the dialogue would be great. As you know the Presidential Debate Commission runs the show and they are a private group run by big money and private foundations.

Here's a description from Wiki.

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) is a private firm. It began in 1987 by the Democratic and Republican parties to establish the way that presidential election debates are run between candidates for President of the United States. The Commission is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation as defined by federal US tax laws,[1] whose debates are sponsored by private contributions from foundations and corporations.[2]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commission_on_Presidential_Debates

Here's more from Atlantic Magazine

"Two-thirds of Americans say they wish they had the option to vote for an independent candidate for president. But any alternative to the 162-year-old duopoly of Democrats and Republicans is blocked by the system the two parties have created. Leave aside the huge hurdles of organization and funding that independents must scale to collect enough signatures to qualify for the ballot across the states. Even more formidable is the obstacle imposed by a crucial but little known and unaccountable gatekeeper, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). Members of this unelected and unaccountable commission have established a rule that makes it impossible for an independent, nonpartisan, or third-party ticket to gain access to the general-election debates. In the contemporary era, these debates have become such a dominant focus of political attention that no candidate (and particularly not a third one) can become president without participating."

Todd Juvinall

Interesting that Paul Emery who constantly trashes both parties and the "insiders" in DC would not support Trump. He is an outsider unlike Hillary the true insider. Anyway, Johnson was a elected Governor under the R's as was his running mate. Both insiders. Paul must be pretty conflicted. The only true outsider, never a elected person, is Trump!

Todd Juvinall

Oh and "jon" ios doing the bidding of the Boxer insider strategy she used and Brown used on Carli and Meg. That is the democrat strategy now and has been distributed to all the lackey's like "jon" etal. We will here more of their crap.

Don Bessee

Its nice to see you guys have the 'jon' blathering breathlessly. Here are a few comments from pillars of the vast right wing conspiracy;

Politifact- The FBI clearly undercuts Clintons defense.

The Washington Post- Upgraded its verdict on the veracity of Clintons classified information claims from 2 to 4 Pinocchio's.

AP- The FBI left much of her account in tatters and may have aggravated questions of trust swirling around her democratic presidential candidacy.

That a flush to the 'jons' pair. ;-)

Trump already put out his tax returns. Yesterday's news. He e-mailed them to your Gal. Just follow the snail slime trail if you want to catch up to your Gal and read them..

4:12: Trump already chose his VP. Yesterday's news. He is out with her right now in God's Country shooting wolves out of his twirly bird near the North Slope, duh.

It just can't figure out if your Gal is more like Linda Blair in The Exorcist with her head spinning like Chuck spewing forth pea green soup on the man of the cloth telling him in that fingernails on the blackboard voice "Your mother sucks cocks in hell" or...or....or..the exploding bug eyed head in Scanners. This might come down to a coin flip.

Ah - from J Smith (aka 2nd jonnie)
"Whine, grovel, and deflect all you want (with a kraut accent perhaps), but tell me what you are actually going to do to change human nature."
Actually it sounds like you are doing the grovelling by accepting that we just have to give the powerful a pass.
Kraut accent? Oh dear - we just had to throw in a gratuitous ethnic background slur, now didn't we?
Now - human nature. That is the entire point of the Declaration Of Independence and the Constitution. Idiot.
You can't change the nature of man. But you face it head on and set up a govt that acknowledges it will be staffed by humans. You have checks and balances that keep the folks in power in line. And you make sure the populace has plenty of weaponry at the ready to rid itself of humans that have gone off mission in their zeal for power.
Unfortunately, along the way, folks like lickspittle jonnies one and two decide that they don't care about
following the law and electing honorable folks.
They have no concept that the fed govt was established solely to ensure our rights. Instead, they want a big mommy govt to hand out goodies and even their petty personal grudges with folks they don't like. In turn, that sort of govt went off the rails and made sure it took care of itself first.
Voila - we have on-going govt corruption and cronyism and law breaking. Jonnie one says: that's OK because TRUMP. Jonnie 2 says: happened in the past, so now we just have to lie down and enjoy it.
Sad, spineless little peasants. Enjoy kneeling in the mud, fools.

Paul Emery

Jon

The VP is Newt all the way. What a team of weirdos. They have 6 divorces between them. m So much for Republicans running on "family values".

George Rebane

JonD 407pm - That number of filed suits over a 40+ year career in this litigious culture is evidence of poor business acument for you??!! I rest my 403pm case.

Todd Juvinall

"jon" is all in for the status quo, professional politicians and DC hegemony. Way to go "jon". Same for Paul Emery.

Scott Obermuller

Paul - the topic is Hillary and her enablers in the fed govt. Right on cue - Paul E equivocates. It used to be Bush Bush Bush. Now it's Trump Trump Trump. I notice the left (as I pointed out) can't face the fact that all of their little truths they made up over the years have blown up in their face.
We can have a discussion about Trump and his campaign, but for now can you summon just a few grey cells that aren't sotted in THC to discuss the ramifications of a fed justice system that is now openly declaring we do not and will not have equality under the law? I realize that topic might involve admitting Hillary is a lying, thieving, conniving, rapist-enabling crook.
And too many on the left would not like you to start down that road, Paul. You need them to keep in with the 'cool' crowd, Paul. Better watch your tongue.
So - it's Trump, Trump. Trump.

Jon Dozer

Yes George @6:09, 3500 lawsuits over 40 years is not normal. Correct. He's a slimeball.

Jon Dozer

Oh, I've been heartened to see so many former GOP presidents, Speakers and Senate leaders lining up behind Drumpf! That convention will certainly be a barnburner with amazing passion and enthusiasm!

LOL...

Jon Dozer

Correct Scott 6:56. Its Trump Trump Trump. Bush Bush Bush has retreated and stayed very, very quiet this year. For good reason- Drumpf despises the GOP's own favorite, and most beloved President of the last 30 years.

Jon Dozer

Paul 5:52 (hey shouldn't you be preparing the KVMR Evening News :)..

Yup, I hope its Drumpf/Newt. The Evangelical bible thumpers will be out in force for such moral men.

..and now we know why Todd has such an affinity for that ticket...

Todd Juvinall

Dozer is babbling agin. Jeeze.

George Rebane

JonD 910pm - I invite you to attempt to confirm that assertion for an equivalent business. In real estate development suits are constantly filed by the multitude of parties that come together on any given deal. It is simply another negotiating tool. You'd be surprised at how few of them ever reach court - they are either withdrawn or settled as part of the sector's modus operandi. Welcome to hardball.

Paul Emery

Todd

Once again, Trump and the Newt have six divorces between them. Not exactly a live style the Christian folks admire as an example for their children.

Jon Dozer

Todd, we wish you all the best with the Drumpf/Newt ticket. Go you men of moral values!

Landslide for Hillary if it happens.

Mark the Tape.

Todd Juvinall

Mark the tape. What a hoot. The libs go for the DC politicians after listening to all your BS. What a crock you deliver. Status quo "jon" that is your new name.

Todd Juvinall

Hey I have three and I am still smarter then you all. So what is your point?

Scott Obermuller

From Paul Emery: Trump, Trump Trump.
Paul's pick for leader of the free world: dope, dope, dope!
Care to discuss the topic, Paul or are you too busy trying to find a Bic lighter for the bong?
This is in some ways totally funny. The left is now all in for a totally bought out Wall Street whore who covers for her rapist husband while sucking up money from govts that torture and murder gays.
Why? Because Trump. Or - wait for it - she is soooo experienced in foreign diplomacy. Like Syria and Libya. And flying a lot of miles on a plane.
You go, lefties! She's your gal. Please! Keep defending her.

Scott Obermuller

3500 lawsuits over 40 years - Reference?
These are personal lawsuits against Trump?
Hello?
Swinging wildly again are we?

Gregory

"Todd, we wish you all the best with the Drumpf/Newt ticket. Go you men of moral values!"-Dozed 10:13PM

The Royal "we", favored by English speaking narcissists worldwide. I wonder which narcissist "Dozer" is?

In a possibly related issue, I'm happy to report Jeff Pelline's website did get a friend leaving a comment in the last couple days... Steven Frisch, the six-figure CEO of the wretchedly misnamed Sierra Business Council. Somehow, I suspect he's still a bit light on readers, so, if anyone here would like to befriend a swell guy, he's waiting for you.

Unless of course he already tossed you off his blog for not accepting his wisdom.

Regarding the snipe over Republicans and their "moral values", this is the sort of misuse of the language and the truth that helped me out of the Democratic Party... Republicans never, to my reckoning, ever put themselves on a moral pedestal. What I heard them selling is their intent to craft laws and a government that supports people that intend such a life. Family values being one that helps, not hinders, parents wishing to impart to their children a sense of judeo-christian ethics as supported by the dominant religions practiced in the USA.

For example... the Boy Scouts of America. Currently a whipping boy. My late first wife's family was active in the BSA, my son's uncle was (is?) an Eagle Scout, now a bigwig in the California Park Service. She introduced our son into scouting early (Tiger Cubs) and he stayed with it, eventually earning the Eagle rank. I supported his scouting after his mom passed away but I never joined as an adult as there were elements of the pledge I would have had to take that I could not accept. No problem, my first wife did, my son did.

That never kept me from supporting what his troop did, or supporting his scoutmaster (the retiring Bob Triberg who was in the paper recently) when he needed my help.

Imagine my disgust when Democrats attending a party convention booed the scouts (lets remember these were *children*) volunteering to serve as color guards, because the *private* group had chosen to bar gay adult leaders, believing heterosexual adults were the role models the group wanted for their boys. No, while I'd not personally object to being around "Big Gay Al" (a South Park gay character active in scouting), I'd have preferred not to have Big Gay Al being an adult leader in my kid's troop... not because I wanted my kid to hate gays, but because I wanted him to learn how to be an ethical heterosexual man, learning by example, and that has been a feature of scouting since the beginning.

Using the power of government to change the BSA policy was not family friendly.

Todd Juvinall

Listening to Comey and what a crock of shit he is dishing out. Ask about his political party, He is now undecided.

Wow. Keep waiting for Hillary/Dozey to take their victory lap. Nothing from that woman, Ms. Clinton. Zero, nada, nilch, boyka. No "hee hee hee hee hee, ROFLMAO". Absence of taunting and the big Boo-Yah! is missing.. It's like Hildabeast does not want to talk about it, nor Obama, nor the Establishment DNC. No "USA, USA, USA! Odd. It's like they rather not even discuss the matter. If I didn't know better, I would say they would rather not draw attention to their victorious triumph over the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

FBI said today that Hildabeast...."lacks the sophistication" to "understand" and "recognize" Classified (secret, top secret) markings on e-mail. WTF? Well, now it all makes sense. FBI says she is too stupid to have the awareness to what she was doing and lacks the mental capacity to know what she was doing. Akin to not executing a convicted convict due to the severe mental retardation.
Finally, it makes sense.
Polling: right or wrong decision? Dems: 54% say right decision. The much courted and coveted non-afflicted (including independents, decline to state, 3rd party) 69% say wrong, wrong, wrong.

Meanwhile with that behind us now,

Bill Tozer

Well, since the Dems are not here defending My little yellow bus passenger Gal, somebody has to.

Democrats on the committee tried to make the case for Clinton that she may not have noticed or understood the classified markings in a few emails that bore them, bolstering any claim of plausible deniability. Comey indeed said there is a question over whether Clinton was “sophisticated enough” to know at the time what a particular classified marking signified
.
"Toward the end of the hearing, Comey would not answer directly when asked whether the FBI is investigating the Clinton Foundation. He also said Clinton gave individuals who were not cleared access to classified material – though a campaign spokesman countered that the attorneys who sorted through the emails had “Top Secret-level clearance"

Hold yer horses!!! Those were the "attorneys" who shredded the e-mails like Cheryl Mills and other aides who had top clearance? AVOIDANCE: the e-mails were sent to folks without clearance.....not just to the shredders. Nice try.

"While the hearing was underway, Clinton herself was hunkered down at her Washington home – as her campaign responded regularly to hearing highlights. The campaign flagged that Comey acknowledged during the hearing that the portion markings themselves were not properly marked."

Hold your Horses. Whoa Nelly! Sure, some were not properly marked, but a hundred or more were. Nice try.

"Yet Comey repeated his claim that “no reasonable prosecutor would bring this case.” He said while Clinton showed “great carelessness,” he did not see evidence she and those with whom she corresponded “knew when they did it they were doing something that was against the law.”
"He said no reasonable prosecutor would bring a case based only on what is known as “gross negligence.” At the same time, he suggested that if Clinton had worked at the FBI, she could be subject to a range of disciplinary measures including suspension or termination".

“You could be walked out,” he said.

That's the bottom line. Walked out the door by security. We will mail ya your family photos and anything left behind. Long time no come see.
I am through wasting my breath on this this week's episode of My Little Yellow Bus.

Comey: "Yes."
