His only mistake was apologizing for it! He was either going to win or lose but an apology gained him nothing!

Completely off topic but so mind numbingly stupid that I'm sure that only Nevada City proglodytes could approve!

One wonders if "Allemande" is Swedish for "The Onion"!

Hey there are a lot of fat people out there. Men and women. Also a lot of "homely" people, men and women. I even watched a NatGeo on "beuty" and my goodness, it seems all races and colors have the same opinions on it. But who would guess the naughty talk would be recorded in a private session? So, if the lamestreams think this is so bad, wait until Hillary peccadilloes with other gals hits the airwaves.

Walt

So Trump is getting raked over the coals for some "man" talk.
Yet Billy get's his willy polished in the oral.... uh, Oval Office, and gets re-elected,
and Hillary was running Operation Bimbo strong arming all of Billy's victims.

And some are surprised Trumpers are holding fast? Paul Ryan better pull his head out of his ass, and get with the program. His little anti Trump rant blew up in his face...Again.

Bill Tozer

I am not pleased with the latest developments. Yes, the Clintons have exceeded Trump's wildest utterances by their own actions. Whoever said actions speak louder than words never was up against the Clinton Sleaze and Death Machine. Still, I am shocked I tell ya, shocked. Reminds me of when I used to walk the kids home from Scotten School and had to pass by our fine youth at Lyman Gilmore School waiting for the buses. Now that was some real ear burning language, the likes of which Trump never dreamed of. Wonder if they picked that up at home or in our own community or society in general. A great mystery I tell ya.

I discussed this latest development with an old friend yesterday. We were teammates in high school. He went on to join the Army as a paratrooper, then served the Marine Corps and retired a couple years ago as a Navy Chaplin. He was quite upset. He said he had been in locker rooms, the Army, the Marines and never heard such talk among men. He, as a father to daughters (like me) and a husband to a fine woman, was troubled by it the pussy talk. I told him I was in the same locker room and apparently he missed out on 260 years of Marine Corp chatter between soldiers. I did point out that most folks tame their loose tongues when conversing with a man of the cloth. :)

We both reached the same bottomline within an hour of each other: The Supreme Court nominees and that fact we are just a few court cases and one election from losing our 1st, 4th, and 5th Amendment rights....without even bringing up the 2nd Amendment. This may our last chance we will ever get to save our Constitutional Republic against all enemies of Constitution, foreign and domestic. We have to keep our eyes on the prize for freedom's sake. It is our scared duty and honor.

The price of liberty is everlasting vigilance.

My daughter and her hubby are outraged. That darn Trump. What a dirt-bag they say. I said yes he is but you told me over a year ago you were not voting for him. LOL!

I think he should turn to Hillary and with the deepest sincerity tell her he is sorry. What would she do?

George Rebane

BillT 1129am - Yes indeed. Our institutions of higher education have diminished Americanism and taught that we should all really view ourselves as citizens of the world. Yesterday the Univ of Virginia outed themselves in an advertisement that proclaimed henceforth they will be teaching students in ALL classes that the are first and foremost "global citizens" - the Westphalian convention of sovereign nation-states is now an historical relic to which the diminishing troglodyte tranche of Americans still cling.

And we recently learned that Hillary will demand nothing less of America and Americans. But that treasonable goal is nothing compared to Trump's personal assessment of the parts of a female anatomy that have always been, were then, and are today accessible to people of fame and fortune.

Todd Juvinall

Hey who knew Steve Frisch ever saw the inside of a locke room? And guess which gender? LOL! Another screed attacking the good people here.

Bill Tozer

As my first post on the now closed Scattershots said, "Nobody is defending Trump's comments". Hey, I wanted someone outside the establishment and I sure got one. And from day one (speaking solely for myself), I knew you could not take a 100% non politician and mold that lump of clay into a work of polished political art in a few months. And that is why I like Trump and feel more than ever he is the man to clean out the stank. I hate the smell of corruption now more than at anytime in my life and Hillary is not the agent for cleaning house. This open corruption of our government goes beyond politics,

If Trump was a polished insider Establishment candidate, he would have simply raped the women and had his wife and her Bimbo Squad shred those "trailer park trash" into pieces and destroyed their reputations and threaten their lives. The ones who had consentual affairs with former Democrat Establishment Elected politicians would have been trashed and ruined as well, with a few ending up underwater off a bridge or whose bodies were found in a park after they went out jogging. But two wrongs don't make a right. Nonetheless, I have always felt sorry for Monica's daddy most of all. Imagine sending your enthusiastic little girl off to Washington and have her come back home thoroughly trashed and her reputation forever destroyed by our current Democrat nominee. That chaps my hide. With that said, it is Trump's job to make it right tonight and nobody else's.

11 years ago? Well, at least he was not running for office when he said the pussy word.
The Evangelicals believe in forgiveness and redemption and all that stuff, as well as the American people. My hope continues to rest on Trump being Trump to get the job done.no one else can or will. Indeed, he has received much support in his hour of need. I hope he comes out swinging tonight after a short mea culpa and knock the stew out of his opponent by showing all where he stands on the issues that had carried him thus far and has put trembling fear down the spine of every Statist worshipper near and afar.

Yes, things have changed. Human nature hasn't changed a bit, which is baffling to the tyrannical loving central planners. Sex still sells. Always been that way. Thus, sex should be the headliner tonight. It's human nature.

Yo Chaplin, you didn't miss out on much, my friend. Thank you for your service and your encouraging words.

I have to give Trump credit for being the Master of reality TV. Tonight stage will be his biggest show. Can't wait. After he loses the election he will be the biggest media star ever and will probably start his own network.

Here's a great quote from Trump in regard to Bubba's adventuring

In 1999, Trump said this about Monica Lewinsky, pointed out in an earlier article by Sargent, “It’s sad because he would go down as a great President if he had not had this scandal. People would have been more forgiving if he’d had an affair with a really beautiful woman of sophistication. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe were on a different level.”

http://www.politicususa.com/2016/09/30/time-donald-trump-blamed-women-bill-clinton-cheated.html

"

George Rebane

PaulE 210pm - If what President Bill Clinton's fellatio in the Oval Office can now be characterized and dismissed as "Bubba's adventuring", how should we then understand and position a long-ago private conversation of candidate Trump?

BTW, I don't hold his affair with Knee Pads Lewinsky against Sweet Willie. They were both consenting adults doing what was apparently enjoyable to both. It's his subsequent lying and his wife's trashing her husband's sexual partners of convenience that is and should be odious to all who now view their high dudgeon as regards to their respective positions on women (pun appropriate).

Gregory

Kennedy and Marilyn were a different level. Monroe was perhaps the #1 feminine sex symbol on the silver screen at the time, but all the Kennedy boys were on the prowl except perhaps the eldest whose life was tragically shortened, earning the Navy Cross the hard way at age 29.

Personally, I think the apologists for decades of Clinton misdeeds are enjoying this moment just a bit too much... they've all been singing versions of Happy Days are Here Again everytime some dirt comes out on Trump... just like they did every time they managed to slime previous GOP candidates. Romney and McCain were both vilified, since elevated to near sainthood since Trump's turn started. Why couldn't the GOP nominate nice guys anymore?

No, I didn't vote for Romney or McCain, either. For a bit of fun, watch the latest Intelligence Squared debate, played on NPR over the weekend, to be rebroadcast on our local Crapital Public Radio Monday morning. The Question: Blame the Elites for the Trump Phenomenon.

The elites in the audience (virtually all had traveled to Europe in the previous 5 years, drank expensive wine, yada yada) agreed overwhelmingly that the Elites were to blame for Trump!!! well worth the time to listen. It's online if listening to the radio isn't in your plans tomorrow morning unless it's Limbaugh.
http://www.intelligencesquaredus.org/debates/blame-elites-trump-phenomenon

It's unclear if the fake elites like the Pellines and the Frischs of the country can be blamed.

Gregory

Checking, yes, it's a criminal offense in California to record a conversation when privacy is expected, and the WaPo claims the folks being recorded, including Trump, had the expectation that they were not being recorded. It's punishable for up to 1 year in jail.

But then stealing a tax return is a Federal felony, and publishing a stolen tax return is a separate Federal felony. Don't hold your breath for the wheels of justice to turn at all in these cases.

Does that make it a rigged system?

Gregory

In the case of Juanita Broadderick, raped by Bubba, Hillary had a special chat with her to keep her shut up.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave...

Gregory

George 2:55PM, Reagan wouldn't sit at the desk in the Oval Office without his jacket... believing the majesty of the Office of the President demanded the respect.

While I don't begrudge Bubba any polishing of his pole by any man or woman above the age of consent, I think it unseemly for Bubba to receive these services by the zaftig lovely woman-child while he was on the phone conducting the nation's business sitting at that same desk.

Let's remember... the impeachment wasn't about getting Lewinskies, it was about lying about it under oath in a civil harassment trial from his days as Governor on the prowl... even the Supremes voted unanimously that his executive privilege didn't give him a bye. Yes, Paula Jones lawyers asked specifically about Lewinsky, and defined what "sexual relations" in an ironclad way, knowing that even the word "is" can be parsed by Bubba.

Bubba's past golf partner, Donald Trump, is on the record that Bubba was worse on the golf course... I wonder if we'll get a sample or two this evening.

Paul Emery

Can anybody tell me why Bubbas sex life has anything to do with this election?

Can anybody tell me why Bubbas sex life has anything to do with this election?

During the Clinton administration we were repeatedly told that "it was just sex" and we should all grow up about it. We were told, by feminist luminary Gloria Steinem that every man "gets a freebie". We were repeatedly told that even presidents have private lives.

Not sure that anything Trump has done eclipses Bills antics and all things being equal....and using the same standards that the progressives used to defend Bill Clinton nothing to this point is a disqualification.

PaulE 401pm - you're not paying attention again. You've been advised that it's Hillary's treatment of the women in Bill's life that is the issue and the hypocrisy. Please take note.

Gregory

George, 5:11, what in my comment did you think implied a shortcoming?

George Rebane

Gregory 538pm - Probably my mistake in seeing you address me with beliefs and tautologies that we hold in common. With no prejudice I withdraw my 511pm.

Bill Tozer

Gregory @ 3:52 pm

Just listened to the whole "blame elites or blame the voter" debate. Perfect for a day of rest. I must say that I was surprsed, nay stunned, at the audience voting results. I just did not think that the audience would take it upon themselves to move the way they did considering the argument from the other side (blame the Trump voters for falling for a demagogue) has been quite the effective mantra from the Left for years. I won't give the ending away. Did like the line about crying wolf until the wolf appeared.

I wondered a few times listening to the long program "where is that missing word anger?" Though not used as such, it confirmed to me once again that the deep seated anger is real and directed not at people who look different than me, but at those who left me at the alter. It also reiterated to me that the Tea Party in its infancy was after the two-timing Rinos from the get go first and foremost and has not gone anywhere. It does not appear to be Astro-Turf as Nancy comforted her ilk by saying, but a more crystalized lazer focus which supersedes who merely wins the debate tonight. Come tomorrow there will still be only one political elite on the ballot and that does not bode well for Hillary putting Trump away this evening.

Interesting is an accurate way to put it.

Gregory

Tozer, I was gobsmacked myself with the results of that I2 debate... IntelligenceSquared is an interesting organization and they've not shied from inconvenient questions. Glad you enjoyed that one.

It's nearing a decade old, but their question, Global warming is not a crisis, is still fresh. Worth watching... maybe they will repeat it sometime soon. Maybe Pelline and Frisch will watch it.

Hillary was just supporting her husbands denial of the incidents, right?

"Stand by Your Man"

Pure Bullshit but so what. Who cares?

Todd Juvinall

Hillary went after the women Bill raped and abused. She knew he did it and did her best to cover it up by threatening them. What a gal!. You seem to favor the old DC political c;lass there paul Emery. I thought yu were a maverick. Well that what you told us.

Bill Tozer

Oh, the drama builds. That was tense. An adrenaline junkie's dream. Donald does have a way of sucking all the air out of the room . The Dem spin had gone bonkers over The Donald standing behind her and getting in her space. He violated her space!! That's her safe place. Psssst, Spin Doctors: You gotta get close to lay a glove on her, something no one has ever done to the Clintons once after all these years. Plus, you gotta know where all the cameras are and all the lens angles in TV land. Just saying.

Well, if violating her space and pointing his mean ole finger at The Chosen One is all they got, then I reckon Trump did ok.

I need some time to process my feelings and gather my thoughts. Quick thoughts: He still is the underdog. Good research and data mining by Pat Cadell have me convinced that people are waiting for any good reason (excuse) to dump Hillary. People want real change, not tweaking the edges. Don't think that good reason happened tonight, but there is still some time on the clock. Bet Bubba is madder than a hornet on the ride home, but who cares about the 90's all in all after tonight. Oh yeah, at the end Hillary had nothing left in the tank so she reached back into the 90's to support some point and started rambling and repeating. That was a bit different. Ah, I will sleep on it. Night night.

The careful viewer noticed that Trump did not do anything untoward to get into the video frame behind Hillary as she answered an attendee sitting on Trump's side of the hall. It was Hillary who walked to Trump's side to be closer to questioner. The camera that sought Hillary's front showed Trump in the rear standing by his podium and chair. In the end it made no never mind since most outlets featured both in split screens as one spoke.

PaulE 935pm - Hillary 'standing by her man'??!! you really have a sense of humor Paul. Bill Clinton had always been and was still then Hillary's meal ticket. And now as then, she was a known incompetent and shady character. But until she could strike out on her own, it was in her best interest not to let her husband be terminally disgraced. And as a bonus, defending him gave all the light leftwingers the image of a woman wronged standing by her man. But you're right - what a crock!

Todd Juvinall

Trump up a point this morning on the LATimes/USC poll. What a hoot!

Frank Luntz is more entertainment than serious opinion researcher, but his focus group (note to Pelline, that's group, not grope) apparently made a major move towards Trump when he pledged to give Hillary her own personal Special Persecutor [decidedly sic].

A fresh pile from the Wikileaks treasure trove... what Hillary said in a private speech she sold for $400k:

“So I think you’re right to have gone to the places that you visited because there’s a discussion going on now across the region to try to see where there might be common ground to deal with the threat posed by extremism, and particularly with Syria, which has everyone quite worried, Jordan because it’s on their border and they have hundreds of thousands of refugees and they can’t possibly vet all those refugees,” Clinton said before the Jewish United Fund Of Metropolitan Chicago during an October 2013 lunch.

She added, “So they don’t know if, you know, jihadists are coming in along with legitimate refugees. Turkey for the same reason.”

It's all gloom and doom! The sky is falling. Ripped asunder Republican Party cries "No mas" and flees to their hiding places. Trump is vulture meat. It's all over. I can hear the fat lady singing! Hillary is the next President. She had a nice soft side.

Well, Hilter was a vegetation and cried when he saw pictures of hurt animals. Knew how to make some awesome pastries. His girlfriend in the bunker must have seen his soft side as well. Just like Hillary. But both enjoyed seeing humans being cut up, parceled, and cast to the fowls of the air.

One thing Trump said last night was not even mentioned today and clicked with me. Hillary has hate in her heart. When I think of how she did the bait and switch with her Valedictorian speech and ruthlessly ripped the Commencement Speaker (a sitting Republican senator) a new one as he stood there as the guest of honor....that is pure hate.

Hillary ain't joking. She will raise the estate tax to 65%. She will raises by a trillion and spent trillions more. She will do exactly what she said she would. She is a full blown Alinskyite and would be Obama on steroids. She will nominate SCOTUS justices to issue rulings with her predetermined outcomes. Statism.
Ironically, Hillary departed from her new campaign mantra that Podesta's Wikileaks are bogus by tactically admitting they are legit. She used the Honest Abe agrument to defend the contents of the "bogus" Wikileaks, lol. What the leaks really said is "she dreams of open borders". That is some serious no messing around purposefull destruction of our sovereign nation. It is immoral her plans for us and our Republic.

Well, it's back to where we started. Trump against the world. Back to trusting the voters, the only hope. I think my side is in a great place to be. She had her cage rattled to the max last night and is still reeling. Her team's cacophy of spin and diversion says it all. She had her bell rung, plain and simple. Oh, she spends hours upon hours rehearsing that non responsive face in front of mirrors. Countless hours. That is why she can seethe and be frightened and blow her cork inside and just puts on that artificial face with no emotion, no authenticity, no nothing. That is why she can never come off as real. Private vs public? Private to her always means secretive, deceptive, untruthful. Public means putting on that face. Not even the cameras can hide that.

Trump is doing the 30 march to take the hill. And he will plant the American flag on it. There is not a progressive alive today that would vote for George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, or an Madison, the influential architect of the Constitution of the United States. Hillary would never vote them and yes, Trump is no conservative and can't hold a candle to real great men. But he is truly anti-establishment and it's not for convience. He has some good points, some conservative compatible policies, and.....He is on the March. The rest is just noise.

It's no longer Trump vs Hillary. It's preserving our Republic vs The New World Order vision. That's the only real effectual choices we have. Trump is on the move, just wait and see.

Bill Tozer

Well, this is no surprise. Kinda what Gruber said.

http://www.infowars.com/clinton-campaign-email-outlines-effort-to-produce-an-unaware-and-compliant-citizenry/

George Rebane

BillT 643pm - Mr Tozer, does this then mean that what RR has been describing for the last ten years has actually been revealed to be the true policy of the pernicious progressives - the admittedly 'private position' held by their elites. Indeed, they are an evil lot.

Paul Emery

My goodness Bill. Are you really saying that Trump is our champion against the "New World Order"

George Rebane

PaulE 611am - Pray, share your list of alternatives with us.

Bill Tozer

Yes Paul, I am. Noticed that Hillary never once mentioned the Constitution when referring to her choices for the Supreme Court. What exactly does "I dream of open borders" mean to you? Our Republic was not designed to accommodate the whims of illegal entrants nor their choices, but rather designed to protect our sovereignty....as just one of hundreds of examples. Do you want us to submit to the whims of a faceless world court in Europe telling you what kind of content you can air on KVMR? I prefer to have our courts decide by our laws these kind of issues to use another not far flung example.

Paul, there is a huge difference with international trade agreements and having international bodies overturn our domestic laws and Constitutional preexisting rights. Trade agreements are one thing, sovereignty quite other. A minor example is the lawsuit the US faced when (some) trucks entering the USA from Mexico where subjected to vehicle safety brake and weight inspections by the CHP and other States' safety concerns. A NAFTA thang.

Now Paul, tell me you have not read the European plan circulated the day after Brexit. It's been out there for decades before and after Brexit. The plan and goals are no secret. Nay, they are promoted proudly. Giving a international unelected body the absolute authority to override all national laws of every country. Now, this should really get your attention. This includes laws that an individual nation's courts have declared unconstitutional, and INCLUDING all local village ordinances. Suppose they say our little wonderful Celtic Festival is promoting racism or separatism or even some local ordinance concerning no bare feet on a city bus? Overridden by a foreign court or body.

We are a Costtutional Republic. If not, why even having a constitution or a Congress or even checks and balances? Why bother?

Not saying Trump is running on the issues I raised, aka, " antii-New World Order' as such, but is running on America First. America First. What I am saying is Hillary has a vision, a long held Ainsky ideology that is opposed to the concept of a nation of laws. She and her kind prefer to be a nation of men with more power and final authority concentrated in the Chief Executive's hands for the greater good of the governed. Absolutel authority of men, not the Constitution. Statism. Tyranny. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Not talking isolationism or absconding our responsibility as the leader of the free world. Saying we are a Constitutional Republic red by the prohibitions on government as clearly spelled out. A minor example would be free speech, which we both love. The 1st Amendent says that government is barred from jumping in. It does not prohibit any private sector employer or organization (like the NFL) from barring any employee from kneeling at the national anthem. They can tell Kap tomorrow he is barred from entering the practice field if they wanted to. Totally fine with that. What I am not totally fine with (nor you I assume) is government breaking out of its Constitutional restrictions.

Paul Emery

George
Well the Libertarian Party but Gary Johnson does not have it this time around. The Repubs dumped Rand Paul early on because of his foreign policy which I support.

Trump actually speaks the language but is so terribly flawed as a candidate and has no institutional support from the Repub honchos who were just waiting for him to fall so they could reestablish the Pubber-Dempcrap alliance and ram through the TPP as soon as it's convenient. Probably in about a year after Hillary wins. She's the champion of the establishment.

Anyway the Repubs picked Trump and now have to live with him. No way he's pulling out and now he's turning on the Party . He never was a Republican anyway so he has no obligation to them. His last card will be to encourage a boycott of down ticket Repubs by his supporters which have more allegiance to him than the Repub Party.

Hillary will be dancing from here to Nov. It's too late for an Oct Surprise because it's a done deal at this point.

You didn't seem to embrace my prediction that the "powers that be" would never allow Trump to be elected and well George that's what happened.

the Republicans have no one but themselves to blame for Hillary being elected. Any average Repub would win easily.

Paul Emery

Bill

Not a peep from you when the Repubs and Obama went Cumbaya over the TPP last year. I was the sole voice on this blog over the secret deal Obama and the Pubsters cooked up. To late now. Its a done deal as soon as the dust clears from the election

Gregory

Trump is still a couple of percent over Clinton in the USC/LA Times daybreak poll, and women haven't been abandoning him in droves. In fact, by the USC numbers, he's been gaining female support and she's been losing female support in the last few days.

Trump has been wounded by the incessant coverage of every wart, no doubt about it. We're in the middle of a media frenzy that smells blood in the water... that 11 point overnight gain. Really? And not a hint of it in the USC data? This is bandwagon politics at its most raw. Smells like Astroturf.

Now it's gotten really nasty. Enjoy the show.

Paul Emery

Come on Gregory do you really think Trump has a chance? It's over. Time to move on to the realities of a Clinton again in the White House. Blame the Repubs for picking Trump who was un-electable from the start.

George Rebane

PaulE 842am - Then your 611am admonishment is indeed an empty one since you can present no better alternative Hurricane Hillary and her vow to push the United States into a borderless New World Order.

Gregory

Paul, yes, Trump has a decent chance still. There's a huge split between the USC numbers and the traditional polling numbers, which may well be a real indication that traditional polling is missing lots of Trumpers who may well be hanging up on them, or claiming to vote for Hillary.

Today, Silver has it for Hillary at 5.25:1. If you believe that, will you give me 5:1 odds? I sure would be happy to be on the hook for one bottle of your favorite hootch for five bottles of Lagavulin in the balance. Deal?

It ain't over until its over. Johnson has my vote, it's a shame Team Hillary over at MSNBC gave him a knockout punch taking him out of the "debates".

Paul Emery

Gregory

1-4 and i'll take it

Johnson has my vote as well just to keep the hope alive of a viable third of fourth party. It's the only hope we have.

George

the Republicans failed to offer a viable alternative to Hillary who was anointed two years ago . Don't blame me for not having a viable alternative, The failure of alternative political parties to catch on is because of the monopoly of the Democraps and Repubs so don't blame me for the dilemma.

George Rebane

PaulE 1004am - That won't wash Paul. You created the 'dilemma' by questioning the Repubs' existing champion as if there were viable others. I created no such dilemma for anyone championing Hillary.

Gregory

Paul, I offered 4:1 when Silver had it at 4:1. It's now 5 or 6:1 depending on which Silver projection you're looking at. 5:1 is on the table now.

Either you believe him or you don't, and if you don't, it's just a matter of degree.

The failure of this great opportunity for a 3rd Party rise this election cycle falls on the 3rd Parties themselves and, of course, the voters. Is anyone as dumbfounded as I am that Johnson or Stein or their combined percentages aren't north of 25%? I sure missed that call and "assumed" as a matter of fact it was a year for a 3rd and 4th Party to gain some traction. Heck, 3rd Party Alternative types from Wallace to Jesse Jackson to Perot did better and the widespread thrist/demand for change was not as great then as it is now. Assume: Makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me". Note to self. Never assume. Johnson should be around 15% minimum, maybe 18%, but noooo! Blame the Establishment, blame the media, but....come on guys, the voters have not seen to break for Johnson. Bernie was as close as you got. Not bad, all in all.

I have to chuckle when this constant drumbeat of "blame the Republicans for Trump and the woes he brought on the Republican Party. No, not the Party. The "Party" went balls to the wall to stop him, along with the "Establishment", the media, and the usual suspects. Trump ain't no Republican. Heck, I would not be a bit surprised if he, like a couple billionaire businessmen I have met, did not even register to vote until 10 years ago. One is registered, but never votes and refuses to even discuss it, lol. That would be Trump 10 years ago. Who knows.

If it offers any consolation, Trump's "grab the kitty" comments probably occurred when he was a Democrat, thus nothing to see here. :)

Another chuckle I get is when think tank elites, political pundits, policy experts and even amateurs such as us posters here talk about "normal" Republican issues like free trade, lower taxes, small businesses (excess regulations) personal responsibility, God, and pro Chamber of Commerce type of stuff. Hey, Trump ain't a Republican. And then even moi goes off on conservative principles in support of Trump, but Trump ain't no conservative either, lol.

Blame away. It's the voters who are to blame. It's me, a Trump supporter, who is to blame, not the media or the Republican Party. Blame us wild injuns who done left the reservation. We are salvages running amok, ruining everything and overturning the punch bowl.

I have no problem with anyone hating Trump or believing The Donald is Hilter/Stalin/Vladdy the Impaller/Lucifer Incarnate. No problem in the least. Oh BTW, the R Establishment already has called Ted Cruz "Lucifer", so Trump can't be Lucifer,

You still don't get it, do ya? Trump is the only 3rd Party Canidate that has a prayer in this race. Love him, hate him, or tolerate him, he is the only chance to actually leave the Establishment with more than a bloody nose. As I heard this morning on my transistor Ray-Dee-O, "Trump is the only one who could ever get into these messes, yet he is the only guy that can get out of these messes."

One of my precious offsprings, the fruit of me loins, is refusing to speak ever again if I vote for Trump or Hillary. So, I did what any good Trumpster would do. I told her I am voting for "that pothead". She asked "Jill?!?!?!?!!!". I replied, "No, not her, that pothead dude." "Oh, Daady!" she cried aloud in joy and ran up and gave me the biggest longest hug I have had in years. Yes, I am a friggin hyprocrite. I am also a liar. Both Hillary and I say one thing in private and another in public. I am voting for Trump. But, that is not what my sweet little girl thinks, lol.
BLAME THE VOTER if Hillary wins. Blame me if she loses. Note to self: Hide my red ball cap next time she comes over.

Gregory

The former newspaper of record, the famed gray lady, gave Hillary veto rights over what quotes of hers, given freely in an interview with the reporter, could be used.
http://www.lifezette.com/polizette/new-york-times-gave-hillary-veto/

Amazing. That's more than being in the pocket, that's [sexual act metaphor deleted].

Checking, Hillary's bitch at the Times was Mark Leibovich, a UMich graduate... somehow, I expected him to be a Northwestern man.

Gregory

There are indications (email) CNN may have given Hillary town hall questions in advance.

The Clinton News Network lives up to its name.

Paul Emery

George the Republicans had several viable others in the primaries that could have taken off with the publics imagination the way Trump did. How ever the populist masses did not select anybody that had a viable chance of winning in the election The Democrats offered no such option Trump was right it was fixed from the beginning For a example If Kasick would have won the nomination he would be ahead easily in the polls against Clinton at this time. The populist fervor r in the Republican Party created trump and the rest Will be history Ultimately this is all a hangover from the tea party scene of a few years ago that has completely lost focus

Gregory

The leaked emails from today indicates Clinton got the candidate she wanted. She owned the news media.

Either the rabble will reward her, or they won't. She sure seems worried they won't... why isn't she 50 points ahead indeed.

Gregory

Could it be that Bialystock and Bloom were hired to run Hillary's campaign and sought to find the candidate that couldn't possibly win to run against her?

Gregory

Cue the music,
"Springtime, for Hillary, and Democracy (da, da da dah)"

Bill Tozer

Paul @12:24pm. I disagree. John Kasick, a likeable fellow, is too moderate, too much in support of the agenda that CAUSED the revolt in the Republican Party. Do not confuse a state governor's popularity on his own turf with his/her national chances. Hmmm. Mr. Dozer was hot and heavy over Gov. K after little Marco got creamed by Trump. Dozer suffered two broken hearts before he moved on to be good friends with some Turkish fellow. Heck, that Gov. of Maryland has 70% approval ratings there, but he is in a very liberal state and can only pull it off there.

Let's see. We had Walker on top of the heap before the starting gate opened. Jeb Bush was the media's chosen one. Rubio was our chance to drawn in the Hispanics. Everyone hated Cruz from both sides of the political party establishment aisle. Dr Carson was label extremist by the media and Dems from day one. Too Christian and soft spoken I reckon. I never gave that Texas Gov Perry a second thought, nor Huckleberry Hound from Arkansas, though if strongly believe Rockin' Mike is a good man and fine person with executive experience. Yes, Gov Kaisick reminds me of Dennis K for some reason. Maybe the independents choice, not my choice. Like Dole, Gov K had his victories long ago and entered the race 10-15 years too late. Not the same guy. Times changed. He is good for Ohio and knows Ohio best.

Paul, sorry you where not given better choices or alternatives you approve of. Not! We play the hand we are dealt, win-lose-or draw. Go out there and make sure YOU get choices you can get behind next time. The perfect politician has not been born yet. If he/she exists, they are too smart to be drug through the wringer. Not for pussies I tell ya.

After the 2012 and 2014 elections, both parties did extensive soul searching of what went wrong. The Republicans saw the light why nobody liked them. They looked at changing demographics and figured that courting the Latino community with amnesty would be a winner. The new hip and cool and open minded Republican Party. Chamber of Commerence got on board. And no more talk of balancing the budget or the Constitution or abortion or any of that kind of talk that makes people hate the Republicans.

The Democrats spent some time soul searching at great expense as well. They said their problem was getting their message out. That's it. They had the winning message, so it was solely a messenging problem. Policy or issues? No need to change.

Paul, call it that fearful word "populist" that ruint the R's other preferred choices. Call it populist revolt. But, revolt against what? Revolt against the R's new game plan...move to the left to be liked and popular, lol. No, the establishment veered left, leaving a huge vacumn. Like Syria and Iraq and Libya, nature abhors a vacumn. We revolted against anyone remotely resembling you would approve of. That's the facts. So, brother, who are the real anti-establishment types now? My type. Go figure.

Hey, next time you spin the records, play me Green Onions by Booker T and the MG's. I liked BT. Ok, you want to hear from George. I get it. Later.

PaulE 1244pm - I do believe our conversation threads parted company a couple of comments ago.

Bill Tozer

Oh my. Them Deplorables are on the rampage now. Since before dawn people that don't ever call in to shows or even call their representatives but once a lifetime are melting the phone lines. Whoooa Nelly, the damn is busting. Them old ladys and now young mothers are screaming at their congressmen that if you don't publicly stand by Trump, screw you and screw the downticket. I will vote for Trump, never vote for you again, ass wipe. Hmm. I think that is a wee bit short sighted, but I got my attention. Ryan has a big Excederan headache on his hands. Gotta smoke them all out it appears. The drama.

You know, we don't need no stinkin' Wikileaks or no stinkin' FBI or no stinkin' proof of the miracle drug they are pumping Hillary with. Nah, it's clear sailing now. Trump is unshackled. Good. It's about time. Hope Kelly can keep up.

Go Mr. Trump go. And WTF where you thinking bringing Bob Dole's campaign manager close in? Well, glad that phase is over. Never forget where you came from. What, Brooklyn or Queens? No matter what you did, those Manhattan snobs would never accept you in their exclusive old money circle. And Hillary opened debate number 1 about your Daddy. Remember that, Mr. Trump. They punched you first. Now, remember what got us this far in the race and go the take them. Go Mr. Trump, go.

Trump unchained! I'm still riding that bull and the China Shop is laying in the dust. Looks like he is charging full speed into a solid 6 foot thick concrete wall. Best to hang on tight. The impact could get ugly.

Yo Paul. Thank you for sharing. Now, put that tie dye long sleeve shirt in the closet on a nice hanger all loving like. Next, put you flower power poster in the garage or shed. Thankyou. Now listen up. This is what a populist rebellion looks like. This ain't Gandhi romanced in your head. It is ugly and chaotic. Risky, uncertain. This is not some pie in the sky ideal of a peace march or longing for the gentleness of a Romney. Screw that. Those where dead end streets.

The Cage Match. Two men enter, one man walks out alive. No rules

Paul Emery

No George I think we are just beginning to talk about the dilemma our two party system has put us into by offering these two self basting gobblers just in time for Thanksgiving.

What do you think of a "none of the above" option on the ballet?

Todd Juvinall

If people are so stupid that they need a "none of the above" box, th3n we are toast. Just leave the boxes unchecked. That is sooo hard to do. People can also "write-in" anyone they want. This election is all about the democrats, teamed with the media and the establishment against the outsider Trump. I hope he wins so I can revel in their tears. My goodness, Hillary lies every time her mouth moves, men have died because of her lack of leadership, we now see the AG worked with her as did the FBI to keep her out of jail that Petreaus could not dodge. And Gary Johnsom is a friggin pothead. We are truly toast.

Todd Juvinall

Here is the partisan breakdown of a poll in Nevada post debate. Maybe someone can tell us if this is reflective of that state's voter breakdown?

Democrat
425
Independent
469
Republican
335

Full poll results

Todd Juvinall

Oops, not Nevada. A Atlantic/PRRI showing Hillary up 11. Makes no sense to me.

George Rebane

PaulE 339pm - All of those points have been covered on RR many times over. Your 611am was a narrowly phrased question to which I responded. Reopening up the entire can of worms on how the two party system is failing us is yesterday's newspaper, at least on these pages and for those with memory deficits.

Paul Emery

George

It is the biggest story of the day how the Republicraps have proposed two totally unacceptable options for President and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Two political parties controlled by special interests decide what options we have for President asking us to select what we think is the lesser evil. I think Trump is being brought down by a coalition of Republican and Democratic mainstreams who are working together to assure the powers that be that no upstart Populist will become President.

Bill Tozer

If I didn't know better, I would say Paul read the tea leaves and is certain Hillary won. Done deal. Now he is blaming the Republicans for not providing him and others with the opportunity to dump Hillary like a hot potato. He so much wanted to cast his vote in a manner so this time it mattered or made a difference. Ah, a dilemma and now the grief. Anger is one of the 7 signs of recovering from grief. Blame is another. Oh Paul, you so wanted it to not be Hillary. I feel your pain.

Ok, what is a NeverTrumper and an Anybody But Clinton doing to do....and still not throw away his vote? Man, like being between a rock and a very unsoft place. Depression to follow, Paul. You will just have to work through it.

The Left failed to deliver and now it's the hated Republicans that failed when called upon again to be the adult in the room and offer you a palatable alternative.. The Republicans are to blame for bobbling the ball. Boy Paul, you must really distain My Gal.

Gregory

Here's a fun bit of info for Paul and his unflagging belief in Nate Silver... tied for #1 most accurate poll after the Nov 2012 election was the RAND Continuous poll... and that *is* the USC/LA Times Daybreak poll. They moved.
http://evidencebase.usc.edu/?p=49

Today's USC poll has Trump and Clinton tied... but it looks like a Trump freefall... at least over the last couple days. The future may or may not continue that trend.

I find the Daybreak poll more transparent than 538 and not dependent on reading the tea leaves of 3rd party polls, some of which have been revealed to be less than independent. Even bought and paid for.

Re Update 10/11/2016.

Sounds like the good doc is recommending three deep breaths, some stretching, and few moments of thinking pleasant thoughts. I did not feel the temperatures rising all that much, but I may be not the best disinterested third party to observe the passions rising on recent posts. Was I too mean to Brother Paul? Heck, he knows well how to box and can handle jabs. He is a former Golden Gloves Champ, lest one forgets. Ok, 7th Inning Stretch time. Need to use the jon away.

Gregory posted a good link about Hillary killed Honest Abe. Good one, nice ice breaker. Rather than search the Onion or our own Scooper or even Mr. Crabb's latest equal opportunity offender cartoon (that was a compliment), or my memory bank of old corny jokes, I will be totally out of character and post a link (non political) that keeps popping up on a social media page I visit. Good site. It gives me pleasant thoughts and ideas for weekend getaways or day trips. Fall is a great time to appreciate our little corner of the world. Burney Falls was a nice day trip, FYI. Even mentions a couple places in Nevada City in a way Jeff would definitely approve of. We have much to be grateful for. It could be worse.

Paul Emery

Just an update:

Both RCP and Nate Silver have the odds Hillary 86-Trump 14
That's near historic highs for Hillary, just below her peak (89) after the convention

Whatever Trump is doing hasn't worked.

Todd Juvinall

Oh my Paul Emery. Wiki emails say there is a conspiracy of the democrats, Clinton, The White House and the media to destroy Trump. Just like they did against a good man named Romney. The daily drumbeat is all against Trump while he has never held public offic and is not responsible for the political mess. So the ultimate outsider is being trashed minute by minute while Clinton gets a pass on everything. She is being shielded daily by th press. So I guess if he is behind in the polls we could guess why.

Bill Tozer

Opps Gregory. Sorry. I made another mistake. Must give credit to Brad.

Food for thought. Suppose Paul is right. Suppose the powers to be would never ever allow an outsider to be elected Prez? No hope? No chance? Paul could be right. We have embarked into unchartered terrority according to the experts, many of them bought and paid for.

I have said before on these pages that the Clinton Machine is bigger than the DNC and much much more powerful. The leaks just show how far and wide and high and deep the Machine's tentacles reach. Probably the biggest most powerful apparatus this nation has ever seen, encompassing our government, both major political parties, press, media, and great powers and rulers from distant shores from every corner of the globe.

Then comes along Trump. He has no government corruption stains on his hand because he has never even served as dog catcher before. His bigger donor is his own wallet. A total outsider. A man of boorish mannerism. A TV celebrity whose claim to fame is telling people "You're Fired". Not warm and fuzzy. A billionaire in an election where income inequality was the pre-election hot button issue. What are the chances? Slim to none. The first time I heard Trump entered the race, I said within myself, "You're kidding, right? What a joke. A New York lib running as a Republican?"
Full disclosure: I don't do reality shows nor have any inclination to watch them in the future. Missed out on Duck Dynasty, Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, and thankfully The Apprentice. Did catch a couple eposides of American Idol in its first season cause the girls hogged the TV and I got overruled. I am the guy who took 3 TVs to the dump with no regrets, save Super Bowl Sundays.

Ok, what is the point. The point is along comes Trump, a person my gut reaction was a big thumbs down. No experience. Wacky conspiracy theorist. Bill and Hillary at his wedding. Polo Club type and Polo Shirt boy. Yuck. But, he is still in the race! 4-5 months ago if you told me he (we) would be within 10 points with 4 weeks to go, I would have got down on my knees and thanked my lucky stars. No way. Down 10 against the Clinton Global Establishment Machine in October? Improbable at best. You're kidding, right?

Paul may be righ. No way can anyone ever get through the castle walls and knock the Queer off the Throne. Impossible. Or is it?

An outsider. Zero experience in running a campaign. Alone against the world. Just one man and a basket of Deplorables, racists, Islamophobes, rednecks, uneducated bitter bigots clinging to their guns and Bibles watching reruns of Mayberry RFD and Duck Dynasty. And Father Knows Best. Eking out a pitiful existence with one foot in the grave and the other foot on a banana peel. Obits already written and most just waiting for us and our kind to die off. We are impeding process. And we amuse ourselves by chanting "USA, USA, USA". What a pathetic lot with a pathetic lot in life. And we prefer that Demagogue Trump to any real politician. Pretty much sums it up.

But, we are within 10 points in October, 2016. That could change in a week in politics. 5 points is nothing in politics down the final stretch. Hope burns eternal. In the history of US politics, this has not happened since Lincoln's standing standing on a soap box. And Lincoln had experience and inspiring oratory skills. I say That's Incredible (a long forgotten TV show). No one has got this close, not even Teddy and his Bull Moose Party. We stand proud and now I can see the whites of their eyes. And I see fear in their eyes. Charge! Full speed ahead into Infinity and Beyond. What are the chances?

Opps again. That is "knock the Queen of the throne", not knock the Queer off throne. Excuse my typo. Most unfortunate typo I might add. Big Opps.

Todd Juvinall

Isn't this special. Hillary and Bill Clinton sent some babes to the Trump Tower today to protest Trump. Of course the three babes get more press than the 20,000 who turned out at Trump's rally. But anyway, the Clinton operative, oops, "journalist", sorry, asked one of the babes why they were there all dressed in black. I thought Ninja lovers. Anyway she said they were there protesting Trump because he was a sexual predator! Now as far as I know has never been arrested for that. But you turn out three liberals anywhere in America and the "press" is there to spread their BS.

Bill Tozer

Todd @ 3:10pm: You didn't think they or us would just go softly into the still of the night, did you? This is politics. Bare knuckle fighting. No more being nice and mambie pambie mush mouth non-viritrol crap. Kindness has no place here, neither does fairness. Hitting below the belt is allowed. Expect more low blows coming our way. This is the fight to slow down the Progressive March to One World Order. It's Maoism we are fighting and they are fighting like the Maoists and terrorists they are. We have smoked them out. We are past the point of talk and nice packaged focus grouped arguments. No more Think Tank talking points. Bring it on! 3 babes is all they got? Geeze, what a bunch of pussies. :). It's gotta get real ugly. Hey, your mother wears combat boots!

Paul Emery

Todd

Has Clinton ever been arrested for the allegations against him?

Bill

I respect the passion you heve for your guy who wants to chance it all. I just don't think there is a snowballs chance in hell that he will be allowed to upset the apple cart. The Republican establishment has turned against him as well because they woule rather deal with Clinton who knows the rules of the road. TPP is the big one that will pass under Clinton after some cosmetics. Remember how that was embraced by the Mainstream repubs (Ryan, McConnell etc as well as Obama) So you think for a minute this mega-trillion international deal would be DE-railed by a populist independent like Trump?

Paul Emery

Gregory

Paul E, both RCP and 538 factor in the 11point Clinton zoom coincident with the tape... that very possibly was an intentional fabrication as the 500 'voters' were produced by a Clinton operative moonlighting as a pollster.

That 11 point zoom in Hillary's favor was not mirrored in the USC/LA Times "Daybreak" poll (formerly the RAND Corp. Continuous poll) that four years ago was tied as being the closest poll to the actual election results. That makes that 11 point zoom smell real fishy... an attempt to fabricate a bandwagon for Hillary as a result of the Trump tape dump that they'd been holding for months for just the right time.

BTW, conspiracy to commit a crime is a fun one... what a real investigation would do is offer a limited immunity to a conspirator to see where it led. A Special Persecutor [sic] could have a field day with the folks conspiring to help Hillary delete the subpoenaed emails.

Todd Juvinall

Four Clinton activists come forward and claim Trump assaulted them 40 years ago. We are experiencing the Clinton legacy.

Can you look in the mirror and respond truthfully to your own question?

Paul Emery

Gregory

What in your view should be the odds at this time since you don't accept the RCP of Silver odds.

By the way there will be a batch of new polls tomorrow AM that should reflect the news of the last week.

Gregory

Paul, for the purpose of a bet at this time, I'm happy to accept the Silver odds. About 5:1. RCP betting odds shows 6:1, so if you prefer that one, I'd be happy to bet one of your favorites against 6 (count em, 6!) bottles of Lagavulin, a tasty 16 year old single malt Scotch that comes with a bit of a smouldering peat bog in every bottle. Yum. Available at Costco recently.

So, which do you believe? I'm agnostic on the odds.

Bill Tozer

Well, you can add Needy Latinos to the basket of Deplorables. It's getting crowded in here.
