Boy, you are on a roll with those one liners:). Back at ya:

Quotes of the Day: "If you think the Left hates Trump now, wait until his policies start working". Dennis Miller
"Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance......The five stages of waking up.

Paul Emery

True but Obama is still respected and supported for the overall job he did. the same gallop poll when asking
this question got the following results

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president?"

Yes 57%
no 38%

He started his Presidency with an approval rating of 74%, historically an all time high. Trump is starting with 40%, an all time low. Historically all Presidents go downhill from their first polling.

Don Bessee

God love ya PE, Where did any of that get traction with the real voters 0 sniveled at, demanding they protect his self centered legacy? What a bunch of ............ The inaugural events start Thursday! It just trumpaliscous baby! ;-)

Walt

Paul needs to start posing the over sample of his polls. You do know what over samples are, Paul?
Just like AGW. When you look for a preconceived outcome, you can make it happen.
You need to go back and read the link I gave you.

Oh look at those butthurt mediocrities......magical!

Walt the poll that asked the question "Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president? was part of the same poll you cited last night at 7:14. Both were Gallup polls using the same methodology. Follow your own link and you will see this to be true.

Todd Juvinall

Anyone watch some of the EPA Senate hearings this morning? The babe sitting behind Barrasso, the Chairman is really HOT! LOL!

Walt

LOL Paul... You chase the ONLY good news from that. So 57% polled was happy to see the nation slide deeper into the crapper.

Paul Emery

57% approved of the way Obama is doing his job and it will probably go up at exit time. Care to compare that with Bush's exit polls or Trumps current stattus? You do it Walt and let me know.

fish

Psssst.....Walt.....this is how they are making Paul so happy!

"Just one day after the bitter mainstreamers at ABC/WaPo and CNN used their "oversamples" of Democrats to rig polls showing an unprecedented unfavorable rating of the incoming President-elect (see "New ABC / WaPo Poll Shows Drop In Trump Favorability Courtesy Of Aggressive 'Oversamples'"), those same outlets have used those same methodologies to engineer stellar approval ratings for Obama...shocking.

Just like yesterday's polls, both ABC / Wapo and CNN used an aggressive, 8-point "oversample" of Democrats to lavish praise on their chose party and candidate."

Oh well.....its probably better for him than Prozac.

Fish... :)

Can anyone explain what the motivation is for all these poll results presentations and debates? How come no one is talking about the Big O's accomplishments and in what shape he leaves the country and the world for his successor. What difference does it make when 54% (or whatever) like him or think he did a good job when almost all of them can find neither Afghanistan, Alabama, nor the Atlantic Ocean on the map?

Walt

Well Doc. , for one it gives the Pauls of the nation something to grasp on to.(a greased rope) The LIB press went for the idiots who go along to get along. " I want to vote for the winner... Uh,, who's got the better chance???"
The fools think this is a horse race where even coming in third gets a payout. Hence the rig job, and downplay the voter fraud. Not once did I hear of a voting machine switch from Hillary to Trump. But plenty the other way around.

And now, we have the looming Battle of D.C. Hope the Wall of Meat does not break ranks and run. Godspeed Bikers for Trump. The enemy approaches.

Good call Europe......when Chinese tourists opt for Russia...you're done!

Tourists from China are avoiding France amid surging violence and crime, a Chinese tourism expert has said, reporting that customers are turning to Russia as a safer destination.

Hope the "virtue signaling" was worth it!

'SYCOPHANTIC' PRESS SHOWER OBAMA WITH GOODBYES

Well it's about time. I get tired of bringing strays home from the river. Not much in common after wooing them with poetry and then listening to metaphysical pyschobabble. :)

Ah, this is what Gregory was referencing: the world could use a wee bit more honesty.

Gregory

I much prefer the term 'lickspittle' to sycophant... has just the right tone, especially for the White House.press corps.

a person who behaves obsequiously to those in power

I'm not too proud to share where I picked that up... an episode of The Simpsons had some Germans visiting Springfield to buy the powerplant and, translated. the German's reference to Burn's assistant was "your lickspittle". Perfect!

Polls are a bit of a thermometer of the mood of the country. You'd better believe that the vulnerability of Trump is being noted and the polls are being tracked by the politico's on both sides.

George Rebane

PaulE 707pm - Having studied and actually designed/administered national polling, and given the trend of their recent prediction performance, I have a significantly different view of them than you who appears to have lost none of the fervor you had for them leading up to the election.

Walt

Funny thing about polls, they are like a**holes. Everyone has one.

Bill Tozer

Well, here is a poll that puts PE in the majority!

https://www.yahoo.com/news/m/7328c6fa-afea-3d02-9859-6556fa6e40fc/ss_poll%3A-almost-70-percent-of.html

When you have a dishonest media, how us can you get the truth out? Would you trust fake news sites like CNN or Huff-n-Puff Post to fact check John Lewis??? You expect to call a press conference 5 times a day or call the NYT 28 year old hung over reporters at 4:00 am to get his message out? Nope, if Twitter makes Trump happy, then I don't care.

Trump has work to do to Make America Great Again. Hey, the guy don't drink or spend all day on the golf course, so let him have his fun kicking The Establishment in the teeth. I have grown rather fond of Trump beating the best and brightest to the punch and controlling the narrative. He is a one man rapid response team. Better than reading polls all day like some and becoming a data junkie.

The best thing about Trump and his Twitter Machine is it showcases his terrific sense of humor.

Belly laugh of the week: “I don’t like tweeting. I have other things I could be doing.” —Donald Trump

I love it! He is a funny guy.

@ 6:40 pm

FYI. Listened to a good interview with the libertarian Judge Napolitano this morning. Never heard him live before. You are right. The silent one behind the scenes is playing chess while others are playing checkers. SCOTUS list of 25 down to 3. The questions Trump asked the Judge (never on the list or in the running) about his view of the Constitution would make you pleased. A team of legal scholars (volunteers) have quietly behind the scenes been studying 100s of decisions from every circuit court and the reasonings behind each and every one for months now. Expect an announcement within two weeks.

Interesting that Trump asked about the influence of Natural Law on Justice Thomas and if Judge Nappy agreed with Scilia's strong view that the Constitution was written as is, complete and final, and not to be altered. Trump was also curious about positive constitutions (the government should do this and that ...like the Soviet and other nation's constitutions) and negative constitutions (the gov't shall NOT do this or that, like our constitution). Trump's questions to Judge Nappy impressed me. Questions like so and so on the 8th or 10th circuit was confirmed 52-47 and why Judge Nappy thought it was that close. Process questions as well.

Bottom line. Trump is a smart man, but it is The Chess Player who is bringing people in to answer Trump's questions. Trump is leaning towards the negative Constitution set in stone, unalterable it seems to me. He also listens to opposing views just to know where they are coming from and to understand the opposition's arguments. Thought you might be interested. Time will tell.
