Don Bessee

PE should go talk to Jim Brown, the Black pastors and MLK's family members who are standing with the Trump. ;-)

stevenfrisch

Don must mean the Don King family. Although A;veda King and Trump share some policy agreements she never formally endorsed him, nor has nay other member of the MLK family.

Walt

She voted for him. That's endorsement enough.
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2017/01/mlks_niece_i_voted_for_trump.html

"Evangelist King graciously responded as follows:

I pray that all polar opposites learn to Agape Love, live and work together as brothers and sisters—or perish as fools. While I voted for Mr. Trump, my confidence remains in God, for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Prayers for President-elect Trump, Congressman Lewis, and everyone including leaders.

Obviously, Evangelist King believes that Mr. Trump will be a legitimate president.

God bless her for the work she does and for not being afraid of the viciousness of the radical leftists who have co-opted the civil rights movement to further their anti-life, anti-family, libertine agenda.

Todd Juvinall

O am glad all those demoncrats are staying home from the inaug. No litter or feces in the doorways.

Gregory

The rumor mill is humming about Princeton's Will Happer (professor of physics and as anti-AGW hysteria as I am) having a nice long chat with Trump in the Tower.

We live in interesting times, and elections have consequences.

Bill Tozer

Cruz never endorsed Trump, but he sure did vote for him along with millions of Cruz supporters. The alternative would be like taking a cyainde horse pill.

Looking ahead, there are a whole bunch of unhappy people out there. There seems to be a lack of life coaches. I have no idea what a life coach does, but there ain't enough of them. And this job description of a something called a Happiness Coach. Never heard of suck a thing. Anyway, it might be a good businessman to get into if know some young people that want to start a business. There are boatloads lot of Blue people in our Blue State. A proverbial gold mine. .

Don Bessee

Your Frishy @ 225- You need to catch up on the news cycle, your ignorance of ongoing events disqualifies your calcified opinion. Trump prayed with MLK III today, Alveda King said she voted for Trump. Then you have the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP). Were you one of the hundred or so in Rev. Al's joke of a protest this weekend?

Your lack of real world contact with black people in your lily white world is painfully obvious. There were good reasons Trump got more black and Hispanic votes than prior republican Prez candidates. ;-)

Don Bessee

Frisch @ 3- Wow, how eloquent from the guy the Dark Lord of Liberal Lament Land said is the smartest person he knows. That shows how shallow that pool of acquaintances is! ;-)

stevenfrisch

MLKIII did not endorse Trump ether--he met with Trump today, yes. Did you listen to his comments after they met? It is pretty obvious that he is not an endorser.

One member of the extended family of MLK Jr. saying 3 months after the election that she voted for Trump is neither an endorsement [where you allow you name to be associated with a candidate in advance of an election] nor does it constitute, ''MLK's family members who are standing with the Trump..."

Family members is plural.

Can you name two members of even the extended family of MLK Jr. who endorsed Trump before the election?

I didn't think so.

Walt

Many of the Reps. from Ca. say they ain't going.. Fine.. Actions have consequences.
I guess they think FED money that is 1/3 of Ca.'s budget is automatic. I hear otherwise.
Let's see what happens when the finance committees start work. Think those people will forget what Ca. LIBS did? Payback's a bitch. Then watch Sac. cry hunger.

Walt

OH Stevey... Sucks to be you.
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/08/dr-martin-luther-kings-niece-endorses-donald-trump-believe-many-things-hes-saying/

http://bencarson.trendolizer.com/2016/09/martin-luther-king-jrs-family-has-endorsed-donald-trump-king-says-african-americans-vote-trump.html

It's obvious you don't look before making wildass comments.

Well we already pay more than in taxes than we receive back from the Feds to the tune of $0.26 for every $1.00 we provide. But hey, if one looks across the country that is par for the course--the productive economies of blue America subsidize the less productive economies of red America--and they don't get labeled 'takers.'

stevenfrisch

I look Walt, I just don;t accept the gateway pundit or ben carson as valid sources. If one goes to the original interview with Alveda King you will see that she did not endorse in the interview. Both gateway pundit and Carson exaggerated what she said.

stevenfrisch

Merely suggesting that Todd get paid back in the currency he regularly contributes.

Walt

Give it a rest Steve, there are many more that say the same thing. Tough shit if you "don't accept". Get over it. Your side LOST.

Money to the state comes in all forms. It will be fun to see just which "forms" stop showing up. Hummm.. ECO (ha) nonprofits??? "Sorry,, corners need to be cut to pay back the debt. All non essential spending has ended." Just a "hope" on my part for real "change".

Don Bessee

Poor Frisch is acting out because his hopes for a promotion to the Clinton foundation have been dashed. They are shutting down and handing out pink slips left and right, well to the left for sure! ;-)

Todd Juvinall

Frisch is a bonafide hypocrite. But hey, the real thing? We won, he lost and now he is the run of the mill whiner from the left. He makes up fake news so he and Paul Emery should meet and compare their fake notes. Frisch is a minor itch on some ass somewhere out there. Nothing to get upset about.

Paul Emery

Oh Boy

Trump is promising health insurance for everyone. I'm beginning to like this guy. From Fox News

President-elect Donald Trump revealed in an interview with The Washington Post that he’s almost finished with a plan to replace ObamaCare and vowed to have “insurance for everybody.”

Well lets hope it's actual insurance and not the cost shifting government dictated "Health Care Plan" that PelosiCare inflicted.

Recall that "never Trump" letter that was passed around? There is now a "butthurt room" for Repubs. They earned their place there.

For those interested, there is an extensive Happer interview by The Best Schools focusing on Global Warming HERE.

Here is a sample:

As for consensus in science, no one could be more eloquent than Michael Crichton in his lecture, “Aliens Cause Global Warming“ (PDF), at the California Institute of Technology in 2003:

I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you’re being had.

Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world.

In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus.

There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus. Period.

Hey, if your looking for some movies to rent, here are a couple that are sure to inspire -

Here is a trailer to a 2011 documentary, "You've been Trumped",

Enjoy!

Who cares what the MLK family thinks away. They have been trashing his legacy in college for a few years now. They don't like the idea of a colorblind society. Messes with their identity politics worldview. Just pledge alligance to the Rainbow flag and all is well. Noticed gays got kicked down a few pegs in the pecking order when the Tranny Babies became the new victim of the month. The women are rising up and the blacks are being pushed back a seat or two on the bus. Hey, it's their Magic Bus so let them have their fun and play musical chairs.

This Red Rock thang has brought us savages up a couple of seats. Normally we sit in the back with the Jews.

I can say screw John Lewis. The no fun depressed have been calling me and most of you racists for years now anyway.....what are they going to do, call me a racist for another 20 years? John is a lying scumbag. A puke bucket.
He said the Tea Party called him the nasty not nice N word AND angry gathering refused to have polite debate with him. You know the story. Breitbart offered 10k, then 100k for anyone of the hundreds of people videoing on their cell phones anyone saying the N word. Hundreds of phones and no one could find any one yelling out N at Lewis. $100,000 still waiting to be collected. Lewis is a dumbass lying race baiter. Plus he opposed reforming the DNC superdelegate system. He likes the power. Can't blame him. John Lewis incites people in his district with his hate speech.. Lewis is the friggin racist here. But, we wouldn't talk about it.

So, who are the Dems going to send out next? Nancy, Donna B, Rev. Al, or are they going to dust off Jesse Hymietown Jackson and see if he has any gas left in his tank.

Who cares who voted for whom? Non issue. The campaign is over. The Dems are trying to stop Trump now, just like in the race. They all get on the same page with the media and everybody, pick a time, then carpetbomb. How many times did they go in for the kill during the campaign. August. Sept was a hard month. They had him dead. But, it did not work. Gold Star Mom to that Miss Piggy Cellulite Beauty Queen to Bromance with public enemy #1 RUSSIA to today......screw them. Their bench is looking rather thin. Very thin. Their JV team looks like they need to some meat or something. Political anorexics.

We ain't asking nice. We are telling you the Deplorables are talking our country back and make it better. You have no say. Oh, let's rehash the mudslinging of the campaign, lol. We got Trump who can get just as nasty and mean and low as the Dems are. They never seen a Republican not buckle under and fold like a cheap suit. We got the Street Fighting Man to claw you eyeballs out and shit down your throats. Trump can match any dirty trick you got and then will double down.
Ah heck, they would have done the same thing to any R that beat Hillary the Coronated.

Oh, no fed dollars, eh? No worries. Fed money to State block grants to fund green slime programs are on the chopping block.

Yep, we all have our skeletons.

Todd Juvinall

Insurance for all can be many things. Paul Emery is in orgasm now since he thinks it is a single payer. Not gonna be that Paul Emery.

Paul Emery

What do you think it's going to be Todd? Any idea what Trump means by Insurance for all?

Bill Tozer

Holy Fat Ugly Squatting Cow! Now they are bringing out Maxine Waters, lol. This is too much fun. That cow is one udder disgrace. Scraping the bottom of the barrel for sure. Well, she never had much to work with, so I will cut her some slack. The bench is a bunch of clinically insane folks. Anybody catch her sqwaking of the Certifiable Chris Matthews show? Had me rolling. I am surprised she could even pronounce illegitimate. It's their last stand, their last great idea. Brilliant. Let their hopes rise higher before watching their hearts ground into the dust again....and again.

I hope they protest and march and boycot and burn things and bust up the town. They can do it until the cows come up. Er, no reference to Maxine. While they are out there doing their hissy fits, Trump will be sworn in, go to Church, then go to the office and start dismantling the Obama stink bomb legacy.

Yep, they can take to the streets as the Presidential pen starts crossing things out. Ignorance is bless. Sweet.

Paul Emery

Bill writes

"We got the Street Fighting Man to claw you eyeballs out and shit down your throats."

Now that's class. Is this the type of dialog you hoped for George when you created RR.

Here's a quote from your credo George

. Minimize the use of obscenities and profanities – i.e. do not use them in an obviously gratuitous manner.

Walt

Paul. there is plenty of moderated "PG" sites to hit. As they say,,"Can't take the heat..."

Gregory

Haven't you read the latest, Paul? People who curse now and then are generally more honest.

I'll take a little cursing over Fake News any day.

Todd Juvinall

Insurance for all. Could be a free market system with the government out of it. Maybe a poor person subsidy for premiums. But all will have skin in the game.

Paul Emery

Here's another on on the Trumper. Looks like he's opposed to vaccinations.

Trump has expressed opposition to vaccinations on social media since 2012, once tweeting that a “healthy young child goes to doctor, gets pumped with massive shot of many vaccines, doesn't feel good and changes - AUTISM. Many such cases!"

“I am being proven right about massive vaccinations—the doctors lied,” he tweeted in 2014. “Save our children & their future.”

He would get along well with many of our alternative types in Nevada County that won't vaccinate their children.

Trump announced that he has asked Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a king among anti-vaxxers, to “chair a commission on vaccine safety and scientific integrity.

Don Bessee

PE, your posturing like you have any moral authority can be cute, even funny sometimes but its still pathetic. 4 DAYS TO GO! ;-)

Walt

Paul.. See what you can dig up on subsidies. See if your own ox is headed to the butcher.

Paul Emery

On the positive side Nevada City and Grass Valley were alive with thousand of participants in the 15th Wild and Scenic Film Festival produced by SYRCL. Streets were filled with wonderful bright young people with a positive bright vision of the future. Quite a testimony to the quality of our community to produce such a remarkable event.

Also today the Nevada Theater was packed for the 35th annual Martin Luther King concert with the Bethel AME choir from Marysville and the Trinity Choir from Nevada City. I helped produce the concert for KVMR radio. This was the 35th year KVMR has produced this event. Beautiful and inspiring tribute to a truly great American.

stevenfrisch

Jeez, I used the word "crap" and it got censored. If I had said shit it might have remained.

Don Bessee

Who else loves watching the lamestream medias talking heads clutch their pearls over the prospect of being relocated to a larger room out of the main White House? Will the Clinton News Network ever get another question answered? ;-)

stevenfrisch

My prediction is that by the end of the first Trump administration the federal debt will be higher than it is on January 20th 2017. Of course then Republicans will be spinning the deficit as lower as a % of GDP and a good thing---but Trump can't keep rural voters on boars in the numbers he needs to overcome what is lining up to be massive resistance against his administration without spending an absolute ton of money on pork.

stevenfrisch

Posted by: Walt | 16 January 2017 at 07:13 PM

Paul, my guess is KVMR does not get one dime of federal funding. Am I right?

Paul Emery

Walt

Don't know the exact numbers. We are 90% listener supported by memberships and underwriting.

Come by the station and talk to one of our Directors. They will give you the details.

Walt

That's great Paul. Then the need for subsidies is gone.

Bill Tozer

Oh shit. I meant to say "rip off their heads and shit down their throats". I committed the sin of omission.

Hey, why don't Paul and Steve start on the one term mantra. You can do it for 4 years and nobody can dispute ya. Well, almost 4 years. Figure that one might stick and get your juices flowing. I love sour grapes.

I would not be surprised if Trump gives us single payer and the Wall. An unskilled illiterate (in their own native language) refugee from the jihab breeding grounds of the Pakistani UN refugee camps cost us 71K a year to house, feed, provide health insurance, job training, and cash assistance. That is a lot of money that could go to helping our fellow citizens. There is something wrong when Obamacare is costing more per month than one's mortgage.

Here in California, Obamacare works a heck of a lot better than in the other states. We have to look out for our citizens outside the state to see how bad it is. They play higher deductibles for less. Pay more, get less. Why pay high monthly premiums and have a 6k deductible? That is like paying cash anyway....plus monthly premiums to add insult to injury. Obama left the other 49 states with one big mess that needs to be fixed because it is broken. Thanks President O and the entire Dem Congress. No wonder zero Republicans vote for that abortion. Zero is a nice round number.

Start with bringing back catastrophic insurance (only) as a start. Used to be called hospitalization. Same as paying cash now to see the doc for small stuff with those high deductibles.

George Rebane

Mr Tozer, it looks like you missed taking one of your calmatives. As Archie used to say, 'Stifle yourself.' (Please)

Walt

Right Steve,,(a prediction? "jon" just showed up) LOL... Debt higher? "O" raced up a new record, and we have diddly to show for it. More debt than ALL administrations combined the preceded him. Yup, Trump has his work cut out to repair the damage.

As for KVMR ,, where does the other 10% come from? State? Where does the state get that money? FEDS? So if the FED "spigot" runs dry, so might the the other end of the pipe.
Ya,, 10% is pocket change. OK,, no big deal.

Don Bessee

OMG! Frisch is a savant fortune teller! The debt in the future will be higher than Fridays. The 0 budget is what we are running on now silly boy. Its going to take time to undo 0's efforts to transfer wealth, destroy the middle class and domestically born poor peoples future. We shall overcome! ;-)

Bill Tozer

Walt
, KVMR is ok. The only thing bad about it is when they do that annoying fund raiser stuff. I turn it off for a week or two when they start interrupting the music to beg for dollars. Seems to go on forever, but it's only a couple weeks. There are plenty of good stations to tune in to until the gross annoyance dollar fishing is over. Can't knock the DJ's cause they volunteer and work for free. But, CA has some rules (laws) they are kicking around and writing to force "employers" to pay interns and "reoccurring volunteers" at non-profits and other places the minimum wage of 15 bucks an hour. It's only fair and helps the poor people. It's all for us po folk.

Steve should feel no cuts if he calls it a horse of a different color. Call it helping businesses and drop all references to green. A jobs program if you will or business advisory services. See, there are always work arounds. No worries.

Bill Tozer

Trump has shown no interest in messing with social programs/social services. He believes that a job is the best social program. He and HUD Secretary Carson believe that the best way to help someone on welfare is to get them off welfare. Besides, welfare is block granted to the States nowadays so it's the states that distribute to the po folk. The States know better what works best for their own residents than what the pencils pushers in Washington know. Texas has different benefits for their residents than neighboring Louisiana for example. Colorado had no unemployment insurance last i looked.

Food stamps is the biggest budget item (by far!) for the Department of Agriculture and over 70% of the Commence Department's budget goes to the National Weather Service. I heard it was 90%, but I will error on the side of caution.

The Department of Agriculture spends most of its budget passing out food stamps and the Commerce Department keeps track on the weather. And NASA's mission is to make Muslims feel good about themselves. Go figure..

Walt

The sour grapes intensifies.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/16/huffington-post-contributor-hillary-clintons-failure-win-even-20-states-means-legitimate-president-elect/

Let's see if they drag Trump off the podium and prop up Hillary in his place.(in a military uniform like Casto's...)

Don Bessee

I am not sure BT, being a racist limousine liberal is not going to tickle the fancy of the new Gods of grants. ;-)

Walt

Remember when the DEMS were pissed about Reagan? I found something by accident.
"According to Soviet documents unearthed in the early 1990’s, Kennedy literally asked the Soviets, avowed enemies of the U.S., to intervene on behalf of the Democratic party in the 1984 elections. Kennedy’s communist communique was so secret that it was not discovered until 1991, eight years after Kennedy had initiated his Soviet gambit:"
http://thefederalist.com/2015/03/10/ted-kennedy-secretly-asked-the-soviets-to-intervene-in-the-1984-elections/

Bill Tozer

Walt @ 8:38 pm.

That is more evidence of the Left detached from reality. Hillary won 20 states? Well, 8 of those are colonies like Delaware, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire. Wow, I am impressed. Don't forget Hawaii.

If you throw out CA, Trump won the popular vote and the Electroral College. Yep, that would be one upset populace with the majority of voters choosing Trump in the other 49 states combined. You thought the voters were angry before the election, wait till they try to anoint Crooked Hilary to the throne. That would be a coup attempt like this nation has never seen. Heck, they have been attempting a political coup since they became Losers, so at least the brain dead are consistent.

Oh course, we don't throw out CA in making arguments. That is not how we do things on the sunny side of the street. That 20 Electoral College votes agrument is what those who live in the darken shadows do. The reason they keep trying their political coup is because to the mentally ill a) they live in a bubble and are detached from the majority of America, b) to the dishonest, the means justify the ends and they have fooled themselves into believing they have the highest calling, and c) they do not believe in equality and fairness for those who do not see things the way they demand others to.

It's really both a mental and soul sickness we are up against.

Bill Tozer

Stats say roughly half the jobs created provide bennies to their employees. That means for every two jobs landed by people on Medicaid, one person drops off Medicaid. Why Obama did not spend the same amount of energy and focus on the economy as he did trying to get boys in girls' shower rooms and censoring the mention of Islamic terrorism when Islamic acts of terror where committed in our homeland is beyond my pay grade.

If more folks got jobs and thus health insurance from their employers, then more folks would have health insurance, duh.

Walt

OK,,I see a pattern. Rail projects and LIBS just don't mix. The "Brown streak" is WAY over budget, and the next contender is in worse shape.

Here is an interesting item in the news.

The government has yet to reissue a single SSN and they’ve got approximate half a billion left before they’ll need to worry about it. So the short answer is… nope, they have not reissued any SSNs.

My question is, why did President Obama use Harrison (Harry) Bounel, SSN 042-68-4425 on his 2009 tax returns, which initially were posted on WhiteHouse.gov without proper redaction? Where did Obama get his SSN? Is he still using Bounel's SSN? Why?

Putin can't help but defend his buddy Trump

President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday an unsubstantiated report that alleged Russia had gathered compromising material on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump was a hoax.

Putin, who reiterated he had never met Trump, said he hoped that Moscow and Washington could eventually get their troubled relations back to normal.

Would "normal" be before or after the Russians withdraw from Syria and Croatia ?

Paul Emery

More bad poll numbers for Trump. 44 points below Obama. Amazing!!!

"Two polls, one from CNN and another conducted jointly by ABC News and The Washington Post, showed Trump to be the least popular incoming president in modern history. Trump’s approval rating in the CNN poll released Tuesday sat at just 40 percent, 44 points below the 84 percent that President Barack Obama took office with in 2009.

Just 40 percent of those surveyed by The Washington Post and ABC News said they held a favorable opinion of Trump, by far the lowest of any incoming president dating back at least to President Jimmy Carter’s 1977 inauguration. President Obama entered the White House in 2009 with a 79 percent favorable rating.

Yeah, you got me on that one. I need to remind myself that your only purpose is to come here and jab, jab, jab. Provoke, attack, provoke, attack. That is what I forgot. I need to remember that more often.

Paul Emery

Poor Trump....can't take it. He couldn't even take a bad review about his restaurant without babbling like a spoiled 8 year old.

"Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @VanityFair Magazine," Trump said in an early-morning Tweet. "Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!"

Part of the review:

Nguyen sampled a short-rib burger “molded into a sad little meat thing, sitting in the center of a massive, rapidly staling brioche bun, hiding its shame under a slice of melted orange cheese. It came with overcooked woody batons called ‘fries’—how can someone mess up fries?— and ketchup masquerading as Heinz. If the cheeseburger is a quintessential part of America’s identity, Trump’s pledge to ‘make America great again’ suddenly appeared not very promising.”

Paul Emery

And that concludes this mornings report on the most recent Trump uglies. So much to report on so little time.

In a way it’s pitiful. John Lewis, d. Ga. Still nursing a head wound from 1966 or ’67. Saying Trump is not a legitimate President because the Russians uncovered that the DNC sabotaged Bernie Sanders’ campaign. Crazy. So Trump fires back that Lewis is a loser. That’s schoolyard nothings except for the following.

The almighty New York Times calls Trump a racist for defending himself against a smear. A black reporter at the Times writes an angry article about Trump as racist… not one fact in it. But no one cares. That’s the news. That leads. No one cares.

The NYT does not call the tune any longer. Voters get their news from a jillion sources on the Internet. The Times is a voice and a big voice. But there are a billion other voices now. And about half of the nation just does not believe Big Media any longer. They don’t buy the vicious lie that white people are all racists. They know that the Black Caucus and Black Lives Matter are real racists. They know Joe Sixpack isn’t and anyway, they don’t care.

They’re sick of being pushed around. They elected a tough guy who won’t be pushed around. He’s a shtarker and he cannot be broken in spirit by the thugs and bullies of the media.

The left will beat and beat and huff and puff. But it’s a different world now. Again… The people who elected Trump don’t remotely believe he’s a racist and they’re sick of hearing it anyway.

This Trump guy. He’s not a sensitive soul like Nixon. He knows how pitifully jealous the media people are. He owes them nothing. He sneers at them. He’s moving them out of the White House. It’s brilliant. He’s making real the truth of now. The media are not good guys by and large. They’re jealous snobs. They are not running the show any longer. One tweet from Trump blows their 5,000 word stories to bits. This battle over Trump’s legitimacy is done. In Trump’s mind and in his legions’ minds, he’s legitimate and the media isn’t. He knows how the world works. It really is a reality TV show now. He’s some dope.

Paul, he's talking about your buds. It strikes me that Reagan's key to getting anything done with a clear Dem majority in the Congress was putting on the suit, asking for airtime, and making a Presidential address straight to the people. Takes days to set up.

Trump can Twit at 3AM and the NY Times wakes up to it, as do millions upon millions across the globe. Of course, Twitter may go belly up but they aren't the only URL in play. And, of course, Trump has both houses of Congress but not by all that much and his hold on the GOP delegations isn't exactly rock solid.

Update: Trump is apparently twitting that John Lewis is a liar, after a big juicy one was uncovered... no, the Trump inaugural is not the first Lewis has boycotted in his years in the Congress. Now, is that a lie or is he just even further over the Hill than has been suspected and he can't remember the Bush II years?

Walt

Next time Paul yaps about "polls",, keep this in mind.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-01-17/new-abc-wapo-poll-shows-drop-trump-favorabilty-through-aggressive-oversamples
In other words,, "polls will say what we want them to."

Never said Trump was a racist Gregory. I do contend he's an sexist immature narcissistic serial liar among other things.

So with the exception of the "sexist" part we've re-elected Barack Obama?

Paul Emery

Obama a narcissist Gregory? Really? Do you really believe what you said? I can and have been critical oa the job that Obama did as President but Narcissist or immature ? Not really

"Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a long-term pattern of abnormal behavior characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of understanding of others' feelings.[4][5] People affected by it often spend a lot of time thinking about achieving power or success, or about their appearance. They often take advantage of the people around them. The behavior typically begins by early adulthood, and occurs across a variety of situations.["

Gregory

Paul, your critical reading skills have failed you, again.

I do note you failed to pile on fish for impugning Obama's honesty, so I suppose you are coming back to earth, albeit slowly.

Given his "bitter clinger" and similar remarks, I do think it credible that Obama has a severe lack of understanding of other's feelings, and has arguably spent a LOT of time thinking about achieving power. Once he had that power, however, he couldn't actually do deals (that takes negotiation skills) so he mostly made phone calls and executive orders, which Trump will be undoing with phone calls and executive orders.

Obama not a narcissist......? Paul, Obama makes Bill Clinton look grounded and legitimately interested in the plight of others!

Obama is the biggest narcissist to occupy the White House since.......forever!

Don Bessee

There is little surprise at 0's commutation of Bradly Manning the scumbag traitors sentence. Lill' bradly should have been shot for his disclosures that hurt our soldiers and allies.

Paul Emery

Gregory
Trump is a mentally ill man. Show me one example of Obama showing thewe traits.
This is a defination of a narcissist. Sorry I have to repeat it. Narccism is a mental condition defined as :

extreme selfishness, with a grandiose view of one's own talents and a craving for admiration, as characterizing a personality type.
Psychoanalysis
self-centeredness arising from failure to distinguish the self from external objects, either in very young babies or as a feature of mental disorder.

Unknown: She used to be great. She’s still very beautiful.

Trump: I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it.

Unknown: Whoa.

Trump: I did try and fuck her. She was married.

Unknown: That’s huge news.

Trump: No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible] — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping.

She wanted to get some furniture. I said, “I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.” I took her out furniture —

I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.

Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Don Bessee

PE- There is ample evidence in 0's victory tour in recent days that meet the mmp-5 definition. ;-)

Gregory

Paul, you're going to have a rough four to eight years unless you stop believing the fake news. If Trump was as mentally ill as you keep wanting to believe, you'd not have to keep referring to the Hollywood tape.

Even two-bit musicians get groupies now and then. Guys with a billion bucks, like sports heroes, tend to get used to access to the fun parts of their entourage.

Gregory

Here's a bit of self centered delusion... remember?

"Why aren't I fifty points ahead?!"

Paul Emery

Gregory, Don

Here's a few more gems from Trump. They are not hard to find

“ I guess I’m asking, do you consider yourself ideal company?”

“You really want to know what I consider ideal company?,” Trump replied. “A total piece of ass.”

From Republican Charles Krauthammer

This is beyond narcissism. I used to think Trump was an 11-year-old, an undeveloped schoolyard bully. I was off by about 10 years. His needs are more primitive, an infantile hunger for approval and praise, a craving that can never be satisfied. He lives in a cocoon of solipsism where the world outside himself has value — indeed exists — only insofar as it sustains and inflates him

Here's a gem

"The only difference between me ant the other candidates is that I am more honest and my women are more beautiful."

and another:

My fingers are long and beautiful and, as has been well documented are various other parts of my body"

All the women on the Apprentice flirted with me consciously or unconsciously. that's to be expected"

"It doesn't matter what the press writes about you as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of ass"

These are so easy to find and well documented. Ladies and gentlemen meet the new President of the United States.

So .....other than your general level of distaste and rather unhealthy appearing obsession with the President Elect where do you think this leads Paul? Your whining and carping about Trump isn't going to get him un-elected.

Do you have some end game that's associated with all your anecdotal evidence......well something not Maxine Waters level stupid anyway........ that will effect a change in the leadership of the executive branch?

Walt

"O" sure love those criminals. Even traitors. Sett'm all free why don't he?
And from the W.H. he ain't done yet. Who's next? Charles Manson?

Paul Emery

Good question Fish

It's a matter of understanding the nature of the beast, so to speak. I am very concerned that we have a mentally unstable person in the White House starting on Friday. Change will have to wait four years but since Trump is also not liked by even his own Republican constituency he will be on a short rope and his apparent mental illness could cause him to do dangerous and unpredictable things. You can take it for granted that Putin has a book on him and can release stuff at any time especially about his business dealings in Russia that will severely compromise his judgement and leave him vulnerable for blackmail or worse if he doesn't go along with what Putin wants.

Someone with the mental disorder that Trump displays should not be President because they are so sloppy about what they say and do. His arrogance will win him no friends.

Gregory

Paul...

"Why aren't I fifty points ahead?!"

Trump won because the people of the USA and their Electors saw what you did and came to a different conclusion.

Thank Zarquon, Clinton lost. Get over it.

PS the good thing about Johnson not doing better is that the too left to be Libertarian, Weld, didn't win any bonus points.

Maybe some element of truth to what you say.....not at all convinced the there is any more of a "book" on Trump than there would have been on Clinton. Still think that most of his bluster is just that.....and designed to unsettle opponents.

Seems to be working.....

Paul Emery

You know Fish I'm sure they (the Russians) have a book on everybody of importance. Why wouldn't they? If indeed, and I'm not saying there is, any evidence of collusion in advance between Trump and Putin on the Wikileaks hacks Trump will probably have to resign or he would likely be impeached. Indeed Putin claims to never have met or talked to Trump in person and visa versa. Actually the Republican mainstream would not have a problem with that because Pense would ascend to the Presidency.

As I said Trump in not at all popular with the mainstream (Ryan etc) so it would not be a tragic loss to the Republicans and we'd be back to business as usual.

Populism picked a very vulnerable champion to carry the flag because of his very unstable personality.

fish

Yeah.....well populism picked whom it picked! We'll have to see how it goes from here!

Hey.....get yourself something nice.......you've earned it!

Since Hillary is now a private person, she will need to pick up the tab on lawyers.
How many weeks before we hear how "dead broke" she and Bill are? It sure would be fun to hit up that yard sale that is sure to happen. A chair from the Lincoln bedroom? A set or two of used once silver wear from some State dinner? Bill's book of "scores"?
The possibilities are endless.
Yup, Hillary is far from out of the woods.

Bill Tozer

Paul, just a small tiny point to address. Paul Ryan has been the #1 enemy to the millions of people on the right who decided long before the primaries even began that the RINOs had to go. I know of no one in my circle that would have shed one tear if McCain would have been defeated. Yes, even would have given up a Senate seat to see him pack his bags.

No saying this is my position, but Ryan has had a laser dot on his forehead since 2014.. McCain as well, but we figured he would lose.
The small point I wish to make is when you say "mainstream Republicans", you are not quite phrasing it correctly. Maybe from your outside looking in POV, but not from the inside looking out POV.

The mainstream Republicans had their soul searching via the RNC and came up with the game plan after Romney's loss in 2012. That winning strategy was to appeal to Hispanics and come out all in for blanket amnesty. Demographs and all the convential wisdom stuff. The Gang of 8 emerged as the face of new kinder gentler Republican Party. Bush, Rubio the Cuban,...the mainstream.

That was the real catalyst. The Republicans became enraged. Cruz was the most hated man in the Senate from both left and right and he surged. Trump came out as the only one of the bunch to not only oppose blanket amnesty, he wanted border control. He surged. The rest fell by the wayside. Jeb Bush never got pass mid to high single digits. Rubio got creamed in his home state.

The ones you mention as mainstream and sometimes quote (Ryan, McCain, Rubio, Graham) where in fact out of the Republican mainstream. Call it populism if you will. Ryan was and remains out of touch with mainstream Republicans. Public enemy #1 to most Republicans.

Call Trump's success as a hostile takeover of a political party that had lost touch with the mainstream. He had the backing of "non-mainstream" Republicans as state after state recorded record Republican primary turnout.

The word mainstream is how you see it and Paul Ryan, not the new mainstream Republicans.

Walt

Now it starts. any person of color that meets with Trump is pretty much being branded an "Uncle Tom" by the LIBS "of color". From a group yapping on CNN this card gets played. "Mediocre nigro".

Yo Walt.
Yep. It will be tough sledding to be black and an honest broker in 2017. Tim Scott was just called a House N****R. He had a one word response:

At least Trump isn't King George. Remember the guys that signed the Declaration of Independence? Ol' King G. would have had them hung in the city square if HE had won.
These clowns bitch because no jobs come their way.

Walt

This one is for Paul. We know how he needs his poll fix.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/17/gallup-public-grades-obama-minus-9-percent/
"The nation’s overall progress reversed and then slid backwards during the eight years President Barack Obama has been in the White House, according to Gallup’s new survey of American adults."
"The public sees “the biggest setbacks on the federal debt, crime, the gap between the rich and the poor, and race relations,” Gallup admitted. Those grades were, respectively, minus 36 percent, minus 35 percent, minus 34 percent, and minus 27 percent for “race relations,” Gallup acknowledged. Obama also scored minus 7 percent when Americans were asked about the “situation for blacks.”

Overall, the public graded Obama’s accomplishments as a minus 9 percent rating in the survey, which was taken Jan 2 to Jan. 3."

OUCH!!
