Punch....any comment why you still carried the water for Hillary here (constant delivery of poll results (specifically to Gregory in person) , unrestrained demonstrations of glee by you about her probable coronation, etc.) after her "deplorables" comment?

I mean if decorum is so important to you in the at the time likely presidential victor, I would have thought that a comment regarding her statement would have been forthcoming.

On the Deep State and federal corruption, we have had scant time to review the status of the Clive Bundy vs BLM affair. It turns out that somehow justice was able to fight through the judicial and bureaucratic bullcrap and prevail. Mark Steyn summarizes it in his 'Bundy Morning Quarterbacking' that starts -

Lost in the tumbling headlines of a busy week was a ruling that reminds us the corruption of federal justice is not confined merely to a few politicized bureaucrats monkeying around in the Hillary and Trump investigations. On Monday, US District Court Judge Gloria Navarro dismissed with prejudice (against the Justice Department) all charges against Cliven Bundy and his sons. More here -

Are you thinking about Finland here instead of Norway? I think there's a piece of Finland that the Soviet Union ended up with..bummer for them since it made Finland lose their northern ocean access.

George Rebane

Scenes 800pm - Yes, the USSR took half of Finnish Karelia and their corridor to the Arctic Ocean as a result of Finns fighting the communist who attacked them in 1939 (the Winter War). The Finns resisting the USSR put them on the side of Germany after Hitler double-crossed Stalin in June 1941. The Allies therefore stood by and let Stalin grab some strategic high ground from the Finns at the war's conclusion.

Interesting (to me) article pulled off Drudge about not extending the presumption of innocence, #MeToo, journalism, free speech, and McCarthyism. Kinda long, but 2nd link is shorter.

My thoughts: Maybe the real target is not the growing list of of what constitutes sexual harassment, or the punishment not always fitting the crime. Perhaps the real target to be slayed is patriarchy. I think so.

“This strikes me as a new development for the social-justice left: They now believe in suppressing free speech — even before they know its content! It also strikes me as ominous for journalism as a whole. When journalists themselves wage campaigns to suppress the writing of other journalists, and intend to destroy a magazine for not toeing their ideological line, you can see how free speech truly is on the line. Why not simplify this and publish a blacklist of writers whose work, based on previous ideological transgressions, cannot and should not be published?”

From Instapundit....

JANUARY 15, 2018

I REMEMBER WHEN SHUTTING DOWN THE GOVERNMENT MADE YOU LITERALLY A TERRORIST: John Lewis would rather shut down the government than leave DACA fix unresolved.

“I, for one, will not vote on government funding until we get a deal for DACA,” Lewis said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Democrats and Republicans are locked in a battle of negotiations about the future of DACA, which allows about 800,000 illegal immigrants who were brought to the country as children to stay in the country legally.

As the Palmieri memo made clear, this is all about importing voters to tilt the electorate their way. The moral posturing is just a sad, power-driven lie.

"The real reason Punch-E favors unrestricted 3rd world immigration"

I really doubt that he has a thought out position at all, aside from some sort of vague notion that a late 19C. burst of immigration into the US means that oppressed people of color worldwide get to move where they like.

It wouldn't surprise that there are some (D) party intellectuals, such as they are, who look at this as a voters number game, but I'll bet that this wave of pathological altruism has a variety of causes.

. Like any sane and fairly tightly-knit people, Mexicans and Mexican-Americans want, well, more Mexicans to move to the US. Hey, it's nicer here, so no surprises. That'll be true for other national groups who self-organize one here.
. Judging from interviews and pictures, there's a whole bunch of women and low-T males with signs who just love them their refugees. The reasoning here might require a bit of work in the psychology of mating strategies, etc.
. There's a certain amount of baton passing going on. Some countries have been instrumental in pushing people through to somewhere else.
. I don't doubt that the Middle Eastern refugees have been weaponized to a certain extent. Stir the ant nest up and watch the hilarity.
. Oddly, there's been a fair amount of Jewish groups and individual activists in Europe pushing for mass infusion of vibrant diversity. I just mention it because step 2 in that situation will likely be they'll feel the need to get out of Dodge. Whether they just like the abuse or were planning on moving to Israel anyway I couldn't tell you.
. Just because. End of the world cults, the price of tulips, groups of flagellants, sometimes groups of people act in non-rational and sometimes destructive behaviors. It's the nature of the beast.
. Immigration (both legal and illegal) as a business. Human smugglers in the American Southwest or those church groups that deal in wholesale immigration. Once the organization is put together, it'll tend to run on it's own.

Who was Palvos Emeroski ? The first telephone pole.

Talk about overreach:

“Stephen Shanley, another Gillibrand follower on Twitter, wrote: “Sound more like mob mentality. Your support is dangerous to independent Judiciary. You should not be supporting this recall.”

Such criticism marks the second time in recent weeks that Gillibrand -- a potential 2020 presidential candidate -- has been under attack from liberals.

The senator was criticized last month for leading an effort to force Minnesota Democratic Sen. Al Franken to resign from Congress for alleged sexual misconduct before a congressional ethics committee even investigated the accusations.”

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/01/15/gillibrand-faces-liberal-backlash-for-cheering-judge-recall-effort-in-high-profile-rape-case.html

That Senator Gillibrandy is cut from the Clinton cloth. She was a little bit left of center Democrat when she ran and was elected Congresswoman. Bubba was a big supporter of hers, as well his lovely wife, Madame Secretary. Bubba went on the trail stumping for the Congresswoman, getting behind her with his full support, speeches, and cash. Then when Gillibranded ran for Senator to fill Hillary’s seat, Bubba was there. As soon as she got elected, Senator Gillibioch turned hard lefty. Sharp turn.

All through 2016 her web page had a big picture of her on stage with Bubba raising her arm over her head, his hand locked in hers in the victory pose the night she won the NY Senate seat. That pic of euphoria stayed up on her FB homepage until the Harvey Weinstein story broke, then Gillibackstabber took it down and dissed Bubba and his sexual predator past.. Oh my.
How dare that wretched two-faced nasty woman! And to think how she used the staunch support of the former, yet always ‘me so horny’, President, took his fundraising money, and then turned around and abused him.
Pissed of the Clinton camp big time. Statements from Friends of Hillary, Friends of Bill, and the entire Clinton Machine were instant and ferocious, decrying the traitorous wretched wrench.

Darn, Gillibroom just moistened her finger to check which way the pilitico winds were a’blowin. Opportunist....just like My Gal Hill.
E tu, Gillibrute?

Boy. When Trump first threw his MAGA hat into the ring, I figured that if he got 3-4% of the black vote, that alone would double what should be expected. But, I was quickly mistaken.
While sitting in the living room of a nice black 2nd wave feminist author and watching her TV, I got the surprise of my life. This was a few weeks before the first primary debate.
Trump was talking about building a yuge wall, kicking out criminal aliens, and making the streets safer for the black mothers trapped in gang infested, crime ridden, unsafe neighborhoods, worried for their kids’ safety just walking to school. His solution was to hire more cops, nor neuter them! More cops.

My friend looked at the TV, I looked at her, and in a rapturous voice rising to the Heavens, she exclaimed “ Finally! Finally somebody is saying it!” About that time Diamonds and Silk started their Youtube videos saying stuff like, “Don’t let anyone take your microphone, Mr. Trump. It’s yours, you paid for it, and punch anyone who tries to take it from you. Beat them down like the rabid dogs they are.” Guess Trump got better than expected black support when all was said and done. Not surprised.

“That score averages out to 17 percent, or twice the 8 percent score he was given in the 2016 exit polls.

In November 2016, Trump got 13 percent support among black men and 4 percent support among black women, according to the exit polls. That very low support was critical to his victory in the Democrats’ now-demolished “Blue Wall” states.

The poll was “a cumulative analysis of 605,172 interviews SurveyMonkey conducted with Americans in 2017,” according to the Atlantic.”

Gregory

Paul, the poll that counted in Nov 2016 had Trump at 46.1, which is just about where he is now. It was also about where Obama was after his first year in office.

What he had at the time of his inauguration was the normal goodwill where folks who didn't hate the winner but voted for someone else, or didn't vote at all, decide the winner is the President and deserve their place.

What happened this time was the constant drumbeat of DNC house organs chanting Russia Russia. MSNBC hosts looking at the camera and stating there was a candidate under FBI investigation at the time of the election and it wasn't Hillary Clinton. We now know that was not the case, but the damage was done.

Unfortunately, Paul, you are such a mathematical nothing, it's pretty impossible to talk about statistics with you in a meaningful way. Trump is where he was on election day. Yes, the drumbeat of attack poodles in the press have wounded his standing, as have his, ahem, unconventional ways of communicating in twits. We have not had a president without political experience (national, state or local) who talks like a real estate developer from Queens because he is a real estate developer from Queens.

Nothing succeeds like success and nothing fails like failure. Trump has unwound much of the Obama presidency and fulfilled many of his campaign promises. The Main Street economy is roaring, the stock market is booming. Regulations continue to be peeled back and it appears profits from multinationals that have been stuck overseas are being repatriated for domestic spending and investment.

Trump haters, rejoice! Maybe the economy can be derailed if you try hard enough and if that's what you really want.

Paul Emery

Gregory

All you look at is the Rasmussen polls and "about where he is to day" as you put it is meaningless. the consensus polls show his at -17 or so and before the election he was -2 which is about what he lost the popular vote by. you can't put a lipstick on that pig with any credibility because you are only looking at one poll The consensus poll tells the story you don't want to hear and that story is that Trump has historic lows after his first year.

Gregory

-17 is meaningless, Paul. Compared to what? The "consensus poll" (meaning the Rassmussen Approval Index?) is a measure of how many more really hate the President vs really like the President. An interesting number... but how many approve as a whole is what would decide an election if held that day.

-2 is meaningless. Compared to what? Yes, before the Russia crap was flung into the fan, there was less hate and more support from the GOP.

He won the electoral vote at a 46.1% of votes cast. He's right about there now, before a resolution of the Mueller investigation, before the tax overhaul has a chance to do anything, before the lessened regulatory burden has a chance to work.

It might not but your incessant cheerleading for failure is not going to hurry anything along. Give it a rest.

“Mueller will hear everything Bannon has to say,” a source told The Daily Beast, which first reported the news on Tuesday night.

Axios confirmed on Wednesday that Bannon ― who reportedly received a subpoena last week to testify in the special counsel’s investigation ― “intends to fully cooperate with Mueller.” Though the subpoena asks Bannon to appear before a grand jury, Bannon struck a deal to be interviewed directly by prosecutors instead, CNN’s David Wright said."

Paul I hear the Scooper is up for grabs. Time to break into the news business on a large scale. You could be the "uncle" Paul to Motherjones.

Gregory

No Paul, the poll isn't meaningless, your interpretation of it, the number pulled out of context to mean something else, is.

-17! Historically low! The drop between his popularity on Inauguration Day and today? By one poll, or by running all poll numbers no matter how lousy they were during the campaign and put them into the RCP Poll-O-Matic average!

Wow, that's terrific Bass!

Not.
http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com/humor/snl/bassomatic.htm

Today, Trump's approval is 45%, meaning 55% disapproval/meh! So is that a -10 by your interpretation?

Trump got 46.1% of the popular vote, meaning about 54% voted NOT for Trump, including me. Does that mean he was -8... or does it mean he was -2, the gap between him and the DP candidate?

What a tangled web you weave, Paul.

I choose to not play with the numbers to torture out a different answer. It's about 45% approval today, by Rasmussen's methodology, their decision about Likely Voters vs. Anyone who is willing to answer their questions when they call them on the phone. The number is an approximation and I am satisfied any error is unintentional.

I'd put me in the meh! category... except I believe 100% that he is legally the President by the Constitution and find the continual effort by Snowflake-Americans to perform a coup d'etat do-over to be the most odious of any post election grieving I've witnessed.

Porn Star goes public on Trump romp

Porn star Stormy Daniels has now gone on the record in an interview with In Touch Weekly about her alleged sexual encounters with President Donald Trump.
Report Advertisement

In an interview filled with cringe-worthy details, Daniels says that sex with Trump was “textbook generic,” while expressing regret that she ever had an affair with Trump back in 2006, shortly after his wife Melania gave birth to their son, Barron Trump.

“[The sex] was textbook generic,” she said. “I actually don’t even know why I did it, but I do remember while we were having sex, I was like, ‘Please, don’t try to pay me.'”

She reportedly became involved with Trump after he invited her to dinner in his hotel room after meeting her at the American Century celebrity golf tournament in July 2006. After Daniels went to the bathroom after dinner, she said she returned to see Trump lying in bed beckoning her toward him.

“And I was like, ‘Ugh, here we go,'” she said. “And we started kissing.”

Trump’s relationship with Daniels first became public after the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Trump attorney Michael Cohen had paid her $130,000 to keep quiet about their affair. Cohen tells In Touch that he still denies any allegation that the president had an affair with Daniels.

Finally, there is one judge in CA that has returned sanity to the courtroom. Not only did the judge reject the defense motion that the accused was not competent to stand trial, the judge also rejected the insanity defense.

The illegal alien is more than competent to stand trial. In a usual move, the defense attorney told the judge that his illegal alien client indeed murdered two LE officers in cold blood as well as wounding others.

Guess the only question is to send him to prison to be with his own kind or to sent him back to the Sanctuary City (River City) to be with his own kind. Decisions, decisions.

Obama commented that “You did not build that, I did.”

In other crime news, I cannot believe these so called “facts”. Must be fakenews.

“The data there shows the convictions for everybody who entered the prisons system from January 1985 through June of this last year … It just shows that certain groups are convicted at much higher rates than their share of the population … [roughly 75 percent] of the crime committed by undocumented immigrants or illegal aliens is committed by those who are 15 to 35 years of age.”

"Textbook generic" sex, freebies from a porn star? Golly, Paul... doesn't the Russia Dossier paid for by the Clinton campaign claim Trump to be into all sorts of kinky stuff?

Does that mean you've abandoned the Russian piss pros story?

Walt

Paul is just jealous of Trump. Even 13 years ago hippie chicks would pass on Paul.

Trump must have been one hell of a lay, if she didn't want to get paid. Maybe just hoping she would wind up preggers? ( lost that bet, no retirement plan in a Trump mansion.)

Your really going gutter Paul, Only outhouse buttwipe gossip rags are running your pulitzer prize find.

Your desperation is showing.

BAM!! DOW 26,115 up 322. Blew through another 1000 in a week. Triple records. ;-)

Walt penned, “Only outhouse buttwipe gossip rags are running your pulitzer prize find.”

Yep, Punchy ran that one by last night citing another outhouse buttwipe gossip rag, the Huff-n-Puff Farting Post. He will run with that one for sure. Hey, free sex is best. :)

In other hilarious news, this one gave me a big belly laugh and had me rolling.

Oh well, there's no point in hatefacts. Some wise guy will invent, from whole cloth, a theory about how it's all about poverty. And then someone else will correct for poverty by looking up crime stats corrected for income. And then nothing gets resolved as everyone mutters in their corner.

I have another new theory in addition to CAL-50, the income tax that will save the day, and that's to do an experiment in mass immigration based on gender.

Let's say we let in quite a few younger people, aged from 16-30, but they all have to be healthy females. No males allowed. Men, after all, are the source of most crime...plus we could stand the admixture.

Just watch the harridans cut loose when they see 1,000,000 good-lookin' women enter the US in a gang. You betcha there'd be a big change in immigration law from a big part of the Left toot sweet.

Concerning the 25th Amendment.....hope burns eternal.

https://patriotpost.us/articles/53494

Now, I just cannot believe how dumb those afflicted with TDS are. I have been waiting for them to discover the details of that which they speak, but I am tired of waiting. After jumping through some loopholes, it takes 2/3 of BOTH houses to remove Trump. Impeachment is easier, dummies.

“If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.[3]

Scenes, @ 1:19 pm.

Great idea. Now that is one policy us red blooded Americans can get behind. I am, afterall, an equal opportunity employer. Besides, I have grown tired of playing with my Thai Guy pool boys. To help facilitate the new immigration policy (as a selfless act of public service), I submit for your consideration a list. Yes, Latin America is represented twice just be prove I am not a bigot. Now let’s get ready for some good ole Russian Collusion.

Sorry Walt, but Sweden is on the other list at #17. Ah heck, let’s take the top 17 or top 23 if they fit the criteria.

BTW Walt @ 1:44 om. What do you mean who is going to “lose it” first? Most confusing. I don’t rightly know who was first, but hey both have already “lost it”.

Walt writes:

So Walt, you are agreeing that Trump had an affair with a Porn Star.

Anyone think that the lamestream will pick up on much of these stories?

re: GR@2:22PM

I suppose it depends on the 'news' source. To their credit, the top two stories at the Washington Post are:

"Kelly expresses optimism about ‘dreamer’ deal without suggesting timeline"
"Race to replace Tim Murphy is a test of Trump in western Pennsylvania"

plus they ran an article on Apple and the $38B.

Huffington Post?

"AUNT OF LOCKED-IN SIBLINGS: DAD WATCHED ME SHOWER"
"EX STAFFERS: RIGHT-WING THINK TANK PROTECTED STALKER"

lol. No doubt the KVMR news complex gets that good ol' HuffPo news 24/7 plus the odd DailyKos bulletin. Anything to keep their crazy base up in arms.

MAGA CoVfefe!

Only ONE LB. to go and Trumpski achieves GREATNESS!!! All of a sudden FAT will be TOTALLY COOL around here!!!

Gregory

So Punchy, you are agreeing Trump doesn't do kink (thus calling into question the Russia Dossier cooked up by Fusion GPS) and was a nice enough guy to charm a porn star now and again over the space of a year? Or maybe he was just rich and famous enough that she let him **&&EW her $%^&W to see where it might lead!!!

FYI, Stormy Daniels played the "Porn Star" role in Steve Corell's mainstream hit, The 40-Year Old Virgin. Maybe I'll get around to watching it.

PS No one thought he was a choirboy.

Bill Tozer

@ triple deuce
. Not a chance Dr. Rebane. But, the 20 second spots on my transistor radio says Apple is investing 350 billion in our Homeland. I can’t read your many WSJ links because of the paywall thang. Yes, we have circled that barn before.......
