State of Jefferson? Nah, I am in the “New California Camp. Have exploratory committees in all but Marin County, figures. Even strong support from Alamenda County. The county wants to be miles away from The City.

Only problem with New California is that Ventura County really wants in, bad. They want nada to do with LA and Orange County. Ventura would mess up the map, but I really feel their pain. It’s overwhelming, rips my heart asunder.

And New California just gets a two word mention. Go figure.

You know, Comey is making 160k a month government pension. It would take a felony while on the job (like leaking) and a small bill in Congress to strip the Former Director of his pension and health bennies. A fantasy of mine.

Comey is easy to figure out. When the firefights break out, his bottomline is first and foremost to watch out for James Comey. Number One has always been his Bottomline, no matter which way the wind blows. He is just another houseboy.

Logical reasoning would suggest that anyone innocent of a crime or crimes would want the proceedings to reach a conclusion so as to clear one's name and reputation. Logical reasoning would also suggest that someone who is trying to stop, discredit, or inhibit such an investigation is trying to hide a crime, crimes, or other misdeeds.

Better write a law about the proper use of emails.(you know,, like guns) Dangerous in the wrong hands.

Now how much you sending to Stormy? Or is McCabe getting those two dollars?

From my reading of the situation, he probably needed firing. Truth be told, it's probably nearly impossible for the ruling elite to not take sides and backing the wrong pretender to the throne is a bad idea generally.

Seriously, if you want to get all hot and bothered about a high-ranking apparatchik, simply put a few bucks into his pocket.

re: Obi Whathisface

".the man served with distinction for 99.99% of his long career with fbi" (speaking of this McCabe character).

Dude, get a grip. He worked there for 21 or 22 years. That's not a crazy amount of time, hell he's only 50 just now.

I have a funny feeling that Mr. Obi is one of those fairly unaccomplished people, honestly that's not a thing to be ashamed of, but that's not a particularly long career...especially in government.

Personally, I think it's an important act for Doctor General God Emperor President Trump to take on as a kind of object lesson. It comes in two parts:

1) You never know who is going to win the election.
2) You shouldn't take sides, especially in the criminal justice/intelligence side of things.

Just imagine what happened in the USSR when Malenkov (and then Khrushchev) took over. No doubt quite a few members of the KGB/party/army pyramid backed the wrong horse and were sorry later. Don't cry for this McCabe guy, he was playing a game and lost.

Not to mention all those diaper selfies....

George Rebane

Yes, McCabe served for almost all of his career without having his ideology and politics become obviously visible. However, he did not end his career that way, and he went dirty. This was discovered, confirmed, and now revealed for all to see by the FBI's own IG. The material facts are there for the established administrative procedures to be enforced, and that they were regardless of what Donald Trump's previous assessment was (which BTW turned out to be correct).

None of our leftwing outlets reported that because it would have turned their narrative upside down (as if their audiences would ever notice).

Walt

For the few informationally challenged,, no Trump did do any firing.
Contrary to proggy whining.
" McCabe was fired on the recommendation of the Department of Justice’s inspector general for allegedly revealing sensitive information to a reporter. Further, an upcoming OIG report is expected to detail a pattern of such behavior during the DOJ’s review of the Hillary Clinton investigation. Attorney General Jeff Sessions reportedly decided to fire McCabe after he reviewed the report."
Yes that includes you,, Clueless... Or do you prefer Lavender today? Maybe O'Butthead in honor of St. Patrick.

Walt

A Libby "oh shit" moment? CNN turning on you guys?
"On Saturday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Smerconish,” George Washington Law Professor Jonathan Turley stated that former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s dismissal and his statement on the firing raise “serious questions about Comey’s previous testimony and could get him into serious trouble.” "

Bill Tozer

Ah guys, you got to remember that Obee Wonton got that the acher’s retirement and he ain’t gonna get no SSI. It’s in the contact he signed. Sad. The thought of all those incompetent brain dead burned out teachers not making it across the finish line strikes the Big Fear in poor Obeenohave’s heart. Come on guys, can’t you just let him retire tomorrow and keep his pension? It’s only fair. It’s the way we have always done things.

Bet Dougie was sweating bullets trying to make it under the wire himself. They done sent him out to be the playground monitor to coast across the finish line for those last long months and years.
Yep, when that retirement is too small and one’s eyes are bigger than one’s appetite, well......poor planning sucks. McCabe is hitting too close to home for some in the public sector, I reckon.
Ah, yes. I remember many moons ago the Friscoites and the United Postal Workers were chanting in the streets demanding the coveted “no fire clause.” It’s what was wrong with the US Postal Service.

Hmm. McCabe walking out with that big ole bootprint on his large backside muscles probably sent the chills down Bobbie’s spine as well. That’s getting too close to home.

McCabe, you are fired! Now, run off and join Arnie the Gobbernator.

,,,this is rich,,,enjoy!!! john kelly’s day from hell,,,

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly started yesterday with prescient bravado.

What we’re hearing... The retired four-star Marine general told about 20 West Wing officials — including National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster — in the 8 a.m. senior staff meeting: This is on the record, since you’re all going to go out and tell the press, anyway.

On the Washington Post front page, above the fold, was the headline: "Trump plans to replace McMaster, maybe others."

Kelly stunned the room by declaring: We all read the same newspapers and watch the same shows. Contrary to what’s been reported, H.R. and I are still here.

Kelly then told the silent staffers: The press's worst day was when I came in. The press wants to take down the president. I stand between the press and the president. They have to take me down first.
Lindsay Reynolds, the first lady's chief of staff, broke the tension by joking: “We thought this was Black Friday — everybody gets fired.”

Economic adviser Gary Cohn topped her: “I can’t get fired. I already resigned.”
During senior staff meetings, the staff goes around the room, and General McMaster usually makes several orderly, numbered points.
Yesterday, he passed when his turn came.
All of this was before Kelly called in reporters for an off-the-record meeting (Axios didn't attend or make any agreement, so we're able to share the contents with you) where he acknowledged that Trump himself was probably responsible for a significant number of the stories about staffing chaos.

As we reported yesterday, and we told you in Axios PM, Kelly said it’s likely that Trump is talking to people outside the White House, who then talk to reporters.
Kelly also said that past cocaine use by Larry Kudlow, named this week to succeed Cohn, won’t be a problem for his security clearance, as it is public knowledge. Kelly joked that the 1990s were “a crazy time.”
Staffers were shocked that Kelly revealed to reporters that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, during a diplomatic swing through Africa, was suffering from a stomach bug and was using a toilet when Kelly told him to cut the trip short and return to Washington.
Be smart: Kelly defended McMaster at the senior staff meeting — even though the chief is widely known to be casting about for a replacement.

Now you'll better appreciate this bit in the WashPost story: "The mood inside the White House in recent days has verged on mania ... White House officials have begun betting about which staffer will be ousted next."
Go deeper ... "On Leadership" column in WashPost Sunday Business section, "Trump's 'cascade of chaos': When there's too much turnover at the top."

Bill Tozer

That Trump is batshit crazy.
I believe Mr. Trump is going on the offensive, getting more comfortable in the job, learning where the bathrooms and skeletons are. I could be wrong, but that was a nice uppercut to solar plexus that knocked the wind out of them to start off a fine weekend. Not bad for being on the ropes. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. The King, the Greatest. Ali I am referring to, of course.

Trump is crazier than a sack full of ferrets. You mess with the Deep State and you mess with the whole trailor park. Chucky warned Trump. “They got six ways to Sunday to get back at you.”
Mueller dragging It out and mulling an October surprise? Hell yes.Thats a given. But, which year for the October Surprise? Looks like 2020, just in case Congress don’t do its job. Good thing we won’t lose the Senate in 2018 and beyond.

I put my money on Mueller. Trump don’t have a snowball’s chance in Maxine’s place of birth with those boys. They will eat him alive. He doesn’t have a prayer. Mark the tape. He will be gone by mid-March, 2017, right. Take it to the bank. Ok, firing Comey will get rid of Trump. He won’t survive the 25th Nuthouse Amendment as an insurance policy, right?

Yep, Trump is hitting his stride, doing his building making thing.

From the "what does he know that you don't" dept. comes this from former director of the CIA John Brennen:

Brennen said that trump would take his “rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history” once “the full extent” of his “venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known,”

NO small wonder why trump is trying to shut down the investigation. My guess is that they have him for laundering Russian mob money. Just a guess.. and I also guess you have seen the Comey tweet where he responds to trump's attacks by saying "Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not."

”Recall that McCabe was fired for, among other things, an "improper media disclosure." In other words leaking.

In a Saturday morning appearance on CNN with host Michael Smerconish, Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley suggested that McCabe's statement following his firing "immediately" raised a flag, which may lead to serious consequences for his former boss. McCabe's statement reads in part:

The OIG investigation has focused on information I chose to share with a reporter through my public affairs officer and a legal counselor. As Deputy Director, I was one of only a few people who had the authority to do that. It was not a secret, it took place over several days, and others, including the Director, were aware of the interaction with the reporter.

Oh Lordy bobby you entertain me so......

I guess lying is only supposed to Repubs in trouble.
It's OK for Proggys and anti Trump minions to lie.. The end justifies the means.
Right Bobby?

"You go in for the kill to slime zerohedge"

At least he didn't bring up the SPLC.

To me, the value of places like Zero Hedge is the fact that they aggregate stories. I can't say that there are any 'unbiased' (whatever that means) news websites, but they all serve a purpose in pointing out interesting situations. Foreign news sites covering US domestic politics aren't bad sometimes, but they tend to leave out the stuff that gets the Green Libertarians all het up.

I think that the real value of this whole election cycle and Presidency, besides some mild attempts at controlling the border, is that it so brutally dug out the awesome bias in big-league media outlets. It's one thing to think that the NYT, CNN, etc. are firmly in a philosophical camp, but quite another to have it shoved in your face on a daily basis.

I wonder if there's an official fallacy (think Godwin's Law) based on the sliming of a news outlet rather than the news.

Not at all dugski.....I’m just guessing that the chronic diaper rash will probably have killed you by the time Trump starts his second term.

It looks like the Trump team were better at cyber warfare than the Hillary Google Team. We will hear a lot of liberal press whining about the Trump/Bannon/Cambridge Analytica initiative, but little or nothing about Google’s role on Hillary’s Team.

Several outside firms connected to Google also worked on the Clinton 2016 campaign. Those included Civis Analytics and The Groundwork, two companies that compiled data and polling on voters for the campaign and that were funded by Google’s Schmidt. Hillary for America spent more than $590,000 on services from The Groundwork and at least $48,000 on Civis Analytics in this campaign cycle. Clinton’s primary super PAC, Priorities USA, has spent more than $800,000 with Civis Analytics this cycle.

Trump/Bannon/Cambridge Analytica was better at cyber warfare than Obama/Hillary/Google, who got beat at their own game.

,,,russ,,,make that trump/bannon/cambridge analytica/putin...

Wow, I wish that obeeXXX would find a different playground. It's difficult reading posts by a (likely) 70 year old that read like a teenager's.

A quick observation on leaked emails, the 'Russian' (or insider) leaks of Hillary outlining her evildoings being an ever-present example.

We are quick approaching a point where sovereign states or large companies could pull off a cyber-version of MAD. Realistically, ask yourself how much dirt Putin has on the Western elite after all these years. The Russians have (my guess) less of an Achilles Heel in this area since a)their intelligence services and military have moved back to paper communications and reports and b)their system is more tightly controlled.

So, a question. If the Russian did a full release of all the stuff they know about Western leaders, would that be considered an act of war? Seriously, just imagine the amount of dirt they have, some legal, some not.

I'd laugh my ass off if a bunch of video footage of Bill Clinton on the Lolita Express showed up on youtube.

Public service!

"Public service!"

You can make that argument, but the ruling elite would consider it something else. Their Prime Directive (yes, even Saint Mueller) is to stay in power after all.

It isn't like the Russians had cameras set up at "Man's Country" watching the future President receiving suitors, but you know darned well that they have the Clinton Foundation and/or the Trump business empire thoroughly monitored and charted out.

An interesting variant of this, given new modern abilities, would be DNA testing. Is Barrack Obama the son of Barrack Obama Sr.? Frank Davis? some other radical that mom had a fling with? Not to mention the Hubbell/Chelsea Clinton business. The thing is, 90% of these stories are false, but a true one would be dynamite given the silly nature of voters. It wouldn't take much in the way of physical sample, and the opportunities for political mischief are many.

The fact that the so-called Russian election interference was so trivial merely proves to me that they either didn't do it or weren't really trying.

It is hilarious that someone as corrupts as Brennen would even think of throwing rocks. He must drink the shrillary koolaid by the gallon!

In the "No there ain't no collusion" dept. It seems the Federal Election Commission is investigating the possibility that the NRA took money from Russians to support trump and bash Hlillary. No wonder trump did nothing after the latest massacre but blow hot air out his rear and then backtrack on that. The saga of TrumpINC. just gets more entertaining by the day doesn't it.
