[The Miami bridge collapse embarrasses me as an engineer - such screw-ups are supposed to occur only in third world countries. And then we find that this was a 'shovel ready' project from the past, designed by the nearby university, that took five years of bureaucratic buffeting before being awarded to a problem-plagued construction firm. And it turns out that the Left did another number on CIA's Deputy Director Haspel nominated by Trump to be the new CIA head. They lied about her involvement in past waterboardings by the agency, which even if true, is to me and mine no reason to doubt her ability to lead that organization. gjr]

"Fox News Channel has been accused of biased reporting and promoting the Republican Party and has been deemed the least accurate cable news source."

The Trump administration has improved diplomatic ties with Taiwan in the past two years. President Trump broke years of informal protocol by speaking to Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen on the phone following his election, as the fellow head of state called to congratulate him on being elected president. Tsai also briefly visited the United States in October, a layover in Hawaii that Beijing called “deplorable.”

lol. Man, you guys are desperate. It went from Russian peeing prostitutes, to Russian bribery, to Russian leaking Hillary crimes, to Russian buy a few Facebook ads, to what is basically a marketing company (the modern, big-data variant) who has done business with the Russians being a Trump contractor during the campaign.
That is 'collusion'. And, mind you, this is an election where the near-monopoly internet media firms (Google, the Youtube branch of Google/Alphabet, Facebook, MSM) are basically unpaid members of the DNC.

Technically, this is known as having two distinct 'world lines', one for the Left and one for the Right. I believe that the only common objective sandbox commenters have is to maximally push each others' buttons. There is no exchange of information here.

WATER FOR THE PEOPLE!
WASHINGTON
Democrats in Congress have stalled an attempt to jump start an expansion of Shasta Dam, California’s largest reservoir and a major water source for the Central Valley.
Their objections blocked a Republican gambit to allow the $1.3 billion project to move forward without full up-front funding and despite objections from Gov. Jerry Brown’s administration.
A Democratic leadership aide in the House confirmed to the Sacramento Bee on Monday that House Democrats rejected a GOP proposal to speed preparations for the project, by eliminating a requirement on the amount of upfront funding needed for pre-construction.
Democrats also pressed to include language in the House spending bill that would ensure the federal Bureau of Reclamation follows all state and federal laws when it comes to the dam. State law currently bars the dam from being enlarged.

George
There are many readers of you're blog that do not participate but appreciate my point of view. It gets prety boring with just your regular Circle of Jerks that just like to do rounds of chest thumping and whatever else. Too bad you're not capable of stepping outside that but I seldom see you doing anything but cheering them on.

"my point of view."
Sir, you rarely express a point of view. Your posts are never more than a few sentences, you ask but never answer questions, you never flesh out any sort of opinion.
Merely jumping on and teasing ToddJ every hour or so or being shocked (shocked!) by some Trump peccadillo from a decade ago is not a 'point of view', it's the typing of a precocious teenager.
Sorry for jumping in the mud one last time GeorgeR. I think I'll stay out of the sandboxes and leave them to the bon mot makers.

PaulE 903pm - Are not both 'circles of jerks' reciprocating each others' behaviors? And to what "outside" would or should I be stepping? But for the record, I have never "cheered on" these ad hominem mudslinging contests. However, when topic-related ideological interpretations are made, I do concur mostly with those of Right. After all, I am a declared conservetarian whose credo and doctrine are integral to this long-established record. And I have never shirked from debating with you, no matter how many times we circle the same barn (thereby corroborating my 813pm).
Please contest me on the points instead of throwing vacuous accusations sans substance.

RR Readers
I mean this is the company the Trumps campaign paid 5 million dollars too. Check out this quote from Alexander Nix, the company’s chief executive.
“We’ll have a wealthy developer come in, somebody posing as a wealthy developer,” he said. “They will offer a large amount of money to the candidate, to finance his campaign in exchange for land, for instance. We’ll have the whole thing recorded on cameras, we’ll blank out the face of our guy and we post it on the internet.”
This results of a months long investigation by Britain’s Channel 4 News revealed Cambridge Analytica’s inner workings as told by Alexander Nix, the company’s chief executive, and Mark Turnbull, the managing director of CA Political Global, to a reporter posing as a client.

My information about Cambridge Analytica is legitimate and verifiable yet you seen to show no concern or interest in the matter. that is what is disappointing to me about your contributions to your own blog.

“Vindictive” appears to be the operative word here. Cracks me up.
McCade, 49 years old and now 50, did not lose his pension. He lost his option of taking full benefits at 50. He will have to wait until he hits around 57 years old for full retirement. McCade might be eligle for retraining at tax payers’ expense. Maybe handling luggage at the Hilton or some other fine expensive luminous hotel. Tips are good and he is well experienced in handling others’ baggage.
Whatever the IG report contains on McCade (as well as the FBI’s own Office of Professional Responsibilty) it is of such a serious nature that the IG and OPR took the rare step of recommending firing his ass on the spot. That is not something you see every day. One might say unprecedented, but it probably has happened before.
I got a sneaky feeling that the report contained more dastardly deeds than we know about. Heck, he was sent home a few months ago and kicked out of his office....before the Justice Department sent it’s Inspector General’s report to the FBI’s Office of Professional Respinsibility. I suspect there is more that meets the eye, but even if there is no more “there” there, McCade violations were so egregious that it stunk to high heaven.
Was it not McCade who sat on the FBI’s dicovery that hundreds of thousands of Secretary of State Clinton's emails were found on child sexual predator Anthony Weiner’s laptop (originally uncovered by the NYPD) from Sept 27 to l October 26, 2016?. Buried it. By the time he dumped it on Comey s desk, the election was darn near at the door and early voting had begun.
Poor Comey. Poor Comey. The Director was stuck having such an unethical right hand man colluding with the Clinton Campaign and burying criminal violations of the Espinoage Act.
McCade did not serve the FBI or his nation well. Shame the disgrace McCade brought downon his own head as a direct result of his own actions and deeds.
McCade got fired by the AG following the FBI’s recommendations for his despicable acts.
Vindictive? I guess reporting a home invasion is vindictive to the assailant.

I don’t get all this hulabooloo about Facebook. It’s been out there for quite awhile. That is just the tip of the iceberg. What we all should be looking at is Google. FB is peanuts compared to Google, just as McCade is peanuts to what Susan Rice did.

"Liberal newspapers and the like appear terrified that the rise of Facebook means liberal newspapers have lost control of the national conversation. That, through the power of the web, the idiots in every village have all found one another, and together through the self re-enforcing power of their own editorially unscrutinised information, they suddenly have critical mass enough to march the world over the cliff.
There appears generalised despair in the media at the end of what it imagines to be some sort of golden age, when the political class was kept in check by the media class. When the national conversation was set by those with the cash to set its terms. Horizontal democracy played second fiddle to vertical democracy. Where everyone has the right to speak, but only those with money have a right to be heard."

Wheather data is acquired electronically by exploiting weaknesses in the host system (hacking), or acquired through false pretenses (fraud), It proves that Trump and his skinny mini-Trump Kushner are dishonest liars.
Posted by: ArchieBunker | 20 March 2018 at 07:35 AM
All the Facebook users spill their guts online down to a bowel movement and some company mines it for information to use in politics. Oh my! And it is all legal. No hacking no Russians. And Paul Emery has a wet dream that Trump was involved. No proof about that. In fact the reporting is his campaign did not use any data from this. Yet PE is pushing his fake news just like a good liberal lemmings lamestreamer does.
