rl crabb | 23 July 2018 at 01:56 PM "bunky"? See you just can't resist name-calling can you? And talent? Sorry but yours is slipping away and it is probably your fault with the imbibing things. Regarding a "pedestal" Sorry never have thought I was better than anyone else. Unlike you who make fun of people and claim you are not a bigot, I try and use debate. You are a flop and are simply lashing out. Regarding talent. I was a self made contractor and I designed and built over 60 homes here and elsewhere. My skills may not be as sharp as your Crayola drawings but many people are happily living in structures I created. You are simply a bigot Crabb and can't admit it.

Todd Juvinall

Regarding these security clearances. I just had lunch with George Grayeb. He was a retired military man and he said he had the highest clearances you can get. He is now 90. Anyway he does not know if he still has them! And he said he has never had reason to ask.

And the Mullahs want many more like "M" here. Fifth Columnists who would sell their mother out if the head choppers came here. I say Trump is trying to stir up the youth of Iran who are fed up with the old farts in charge. Maybe Trump could get the new gal Ocasio-Cortez over there as Ambassador? Youth on youth.

rl crabb

Todd - "Sorry never have thought I was better than anyone else." Is that why you refer to those who disagree with you as "you and your ilk?" Or why you label homosexuals as deviants? Obviously you must have some superior leanings other than debate.

rl crabb | 23 July 2018 at 03:48 PM Say what? You really are desperate to back up your ridiculous assertions. Look up ILK you may learn something. And the word is pretty simple. Even you can spell it. Three letters. And homosexuals like NAMBLA are degenerates and if you want to defend them have at it. You are one sick puppy.

rl crabb

Haha! This is why I prefer to block Todd from my blog. These conversations never resolve anything. I'll stop now. If you want to keep insulting me, Todd, go for it!

Gregory

Haha?

Earl, come back to the issue I raised...
Crabby 1205pm

"And Greggy, I'm not sorry I blocked you. Your inability to let anyone but yourself to have the last word was your downfall. After fifty or so responses to anything Steve Frisch says, it just becomes endlessly redundant."

And so your exaggerations continue. It was your inability to choose to curb your BFF and Frisch.

Perhaps I quoted more than you could read in one sitting... would you agree with Frisch that this 335am comment of his has absolutely no personal insults in it?:

Steve Frisch says:
May 14, 2017 at 3:35 am

I almost added a caveat to this little essay, that I fully expected a small minded troll who views the world through a lens of self appointed intellectual superiority and a single minded jihadist focus on climate change, would find the spelling error. Oh, BTW, “worshiping at the altar of Smith…” wasn’t referring to you. I was really thinking way behind the tiny world of Goodknight.

I am amazed every time you comment at just how small you are.

So, RL, is that a personal insult in your world, or not?

Gregory

And another challenge to a perhaps boneheaded statement by RL:

rlcrabb: "Immigration shouldn't be so complicated to solve. Make the pathway to citizenship clear. Let the Dreamers be first in line. No voting or benefits until applied for citizenship. Clear enough?"

How about "no voting or benefits" until AFTER citizenship is granted?

More in the clear as mud category... the parents who brought the "Dreamer" in illegally... does the "DREAMer" then pull in their parents who violated US law in the first place? I say no... make them take their place at the end of the line, with five or ten years before their number can even bubble up to the top. Or the family can reunite in their country of origin and all try again later. Much later.

This is what happens when a 2nd rate yet widely loved 'tooner delves into hit-and-run political statements that he won't discuss.

Don Bessee

Meanwhile its getting harder and harder to be a mutha mullah -

"We weren't afraid to tackle the regime at its highest level," Pompeo said in a speech in California, referring to sanctions leveled in January against Sadeq Larijani, the head of Iran's judiciary.
Pompeo also confirmed that Washington wants all countries to reduce their imports of Iranian oil "as close to zero as possible" by November 4, part of US efforts to increase economic pressure on Tehran.
"There's more to come," Pompeo said.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/afp/article-5981041/US-not-afraid-tackle-Iran-regime-highest-level-Pompeo.html?ns_mchannel=rss&ito=1490&ns_campaign=1490

He also spoke in detail about Iran’s malign, ideologically-driven foreign policy.
But arguably the most significant portion of the speech, entitled “supporting Iranian voices,” related to corruption and nepotism among the Islamic republic’s elite, including those claiming a mantle of religious authority.

While ordinary Iranians suffer and cry out for jobs and opportunities, he said, the regime was lining “its own pockets.”
“The ayatollahs are in on the act too,” Pompeo said. “Judging by their vast wealth they seem more concerned with riches than religion.”
“These hypocritical holy men have devised all kinds of crooked schemes to become some of the wealthiest men on earth, while their people suffer.”

Then there was this lovely 'toon of Steven Miller as Himmler:
http://www.rlcrabb.com/history-2/move-over-kellyanne/

An ugly characterization, especially since Miller is Jewish.

It should be noted that the SCOTUS upheld the "travel ban" for exactly the same reasons Steven Miller was giving: the President has the authority over who shall be allowed into the country. Even a President Donald J. Trump.

Reading the comments, it shows that I didn't get the last word very often at all, and Crabb's BFF, Frisch and mandersonation were all there commenting. Perhaps Crabby can give a link that illustrates the boorish behavior that led to my being disinvited to comment on his blog.

“Instead, she noted, the council opted to issue a baseless report that “reads like a socialist political manifesto of higher taxes, government-run health care, and ‘decriminaliz[ing] being poor’ (never mind that nowhere in America is it a crime to be poor).”

Meanwhile, the council has never condemned China, Cuba, Russia, Saudi Arabia, or Zimbabwe — despite their terrible human rights records. Instead, nearly half of the resolutions it has passed to condemn countries for human rights violations have focused on Israel.

For all these reasons — and thanks to Ambassador Haley’s leadership — America withdrew from the UN’s deeply flawed Human Rights Council last month.

What a gloom lot. And to think they couldn’t get any more miserable.

Utopians will always be less happy than those who know that suffering is inherent to human existence. The utopian compares America to utopia and finds it terribly wanting. The conservative compares America to every other civilization that has ever existed and walks around wondering how he got so lucky as to be born or naturalized an American.

A fourth explanation for greater unhappiness among liberals is that the more people allow feelings to govern them, the less happy they will be. And the further left one goes, the more importance one attaches to feelings.

https://www.nationalreview.com/2010/11/why-unhappy-people-become-liberals-dennis-prager/

Bill Tozer

The Dougie saga, updated:

“If you watch or skim through … any liberal TV show or news program, it’s Armageddon. It’s horrible. It’s like misery’s in your house and there’s a little guy breaking your ankles. They’re all sad,” he said.

“They’re just miserable, and we’re like, ‘We won, we’re making money, I’m pop-locking it home.’ It’s a good time if you’re working hard and paying your bills and stuff. And if you’re not, you’re miserable. I’m not saying all Democrats don’t work, but I’m just saying there’s a certain group of them who prefer things done for them, and they’re pretty upset right now.”

He had a valid point, but not in regard to the left’s reaction to President Donald Trump’s election. Trump just stepped into office a year ago, and since the study covers a 40-year span, he’s ultimately irrelevant to the study’s results.

But what Tyrus said later about Democrats preferring “things done for them” hit the nail on the head. Conservatives find joy and meaning in working hard, fulfilling their obligations, taking care of their families and, in some cases, adhering to a religious faith. And while not every liberal is a welfare-consuming secularists, many leftists do readily subscribe to attitudes of victimhood and entitlement.

,,,from the neocon's premier news outlet,,,

'''In recent months, a consensus has emerged among the conservative dissidents of the Trump era: We’ll continue to oppose the president when his policies and practices are counter to our principles, they say, but also be sure to publicly give credit whenever he stakes out an agreeable position on any issue that matters. During the campaign, obdurate opposition served the purpose of challenging his candidacy and elevating his competitors, but now, with Trump sitting in the Oval Office, the thinking goes, it smacks of sour grapes—and, given that he does do things with which we agree, it amounts to cutting off our noses to spite our faces. So, serve as the loyal opposition as necessary but join the cause when possible.

It is a coherent approach. It is the pragmatic one. But it is unsatisfying and unsettling. And with each casual lie, crude insult, attack on the media, slight of the intelligence community, and example of grotesque servility to Russia’s dictator, it increasingly appears morally misguided.'''

You know, I forgot all about Aug, 2016 - The people who drafted McMullin to be the “Never Trump” independent candidate are some of the Republican establishment's most well-known operatives: Bill Kristol.......funny how Trump brought Romney to the Towers to give him and interview. Romney got interviewed alright. Come to think of it, both of the candidates the old Republican Party previous nominated for President are Nevertrumpers. “I was absolutely outraged by [Donald Trump’s] behavior in Helsinki, where he really sold the American people out. … Perhaps he is being blackmailed by Russia because they may have compromising information about him or perhaps also you have a president who really does have strong authoritarian tendencies and maybe he admires the kind of government that Putin is running in Russia.” —Sen. Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT). How was your honeymoon. Comrade?

For months I’ve been trying to tell the American public that this president is dangerous [and] that he’s in bed with Putin. Don’t forget this president can’t borrow money in the United States from any bank. This president is looking at Russia for his new money, financial playground. … I think he is Putin’s apprentice. He’s been under his tutelage for a long time now.” —Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)

“Hello everybody. I’m so excited to be hopping on here, on Senator Sanders’ [Twitter] account, and we’re here in Kansas City to rally for Brent Welder. We’re going to flip this seat red in November.” —Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with a Freudian slip about the election map color

Billions of $$$ in farm aid to create more LaMalfa's. and where is this money coming from? General funds of course adding to our deficit.

"The Trump administration is planning to ease fears of a trade war by announcing Tuesday about $12 billion in aid to farmers hurt by retaliatory tariffs, according to three sources familiar with the plan.

The administration's plan is expected to use two commodity support programs in the farm bill, as well as the Agriculture Department’s broad authority to stabilize the agricultural economy during times of turmoil by buying up excess supply. The plan is also expected to focus on providing aid to the dairy sector in particular, one of the sources said."

George Rebane

M 1104am - From this I take it that you don't know what 'to censor' means. Furthermore, there is no evidence at all of their being involved in or needed for any counseling of "subsequent security officials", and most certainly they would be prohibited from sharing with uncleared people (and without the need to know) any classified information still in their possession. Elsewhere I have explained why they still have security clearances. And in the final analysis, it is the President's call as to whether their continued enjoyment of said clearances helps or hurts the government and the nation it governs. Elections do have consequences.

Hang on, I thought that people out of government with security clearances couldn't see/hear secret things anymore. I wish everyone would get their stories straight.

If I were God-Emperor, I'd make all senior staff, agency heads, etc. sign a wide ranging non-compete/non-disclosure agreement with their pensions on the line. Some responses to Trumps proposal to subsidise farmers for their losses due to the trade war he's triggering. Crickets from RR supporters on this matter.

'Like a Soviet-type economy': GOP free traders unload on Trump:

The president's $12 billion farm bailout gets an ugly reception among many Republicans in Congress.

“This is becoming more and more like a Soviet-type of economy here: Commissars deciding who’s going to be granted waivers, commissars in the administration figuring out how they’re going to sprinkle around benefits,” said Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.). “I’m very exasperated. This is serious.”

“Taxpayers are going to be asked to initial checks to farmers in lieu of having a trade policy that actually opens and expands more markets. There isn’t anything about this that anybody should like,” said Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, the No. 3 GOP leader. He suggested the new spending might need to be offset by cuts in other funding areas.

In a 2-1 ruling, the court found that the Second Amendment protects the right to openly carry a firearm in public for the purpose of self-defense. Judge Diarmuid F. O'Scannlain was joined by Judge Sandra S. Ikuta in the majority while Judge Richard R. Clifton dissented. The majority reversed the lower court ruling that upheld Hawaii's effective ban on all forms of gun carry in the state.

"For better or for worse, the Second Amendment does protect a right to carry a firearm in public for self-defense," Judge O'Scannlain wrote for the majority. "We would thus flout the Constitution if we were to hold that, ‘in regulating the manner of bearing arms, the authority of [the State] has no other limit than its own discretion.' While many respectable scholars and activists might find virtue in a firearms-carry regime that restricts the right to a privileged few, ‘the enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table.'"

“Analyzing the text of the Second Amendment and reviewing the relevant history, including founding-era treatises and nineteenth century case law, the panel stated that it was unpersuaded by the county’s and the state’s argument that the Second Amendment only has force within the home,” the ruling states."

More fakenews, where is the po' ol' fakenewsman on this one?

“He was clearly acknowledging what the high school students were chanting and chuckled before moving on. He didn't raise his fists and chant along with them or tell the audience that the Justice Department will make sure Hillary Clinton is locked up. The fact that he didn't do those things yet the media are going gangbusters over this story shows how they should stop a few times a day and just breathe,”

Hmmm. More on those evil subsidies that transfer money from the poor to the rich.

Gotta double dip this one from the SF media because it is a glimmer of reality in bagdad by the bay -

Americans have a constitutional right to carry guns openly outside the home, a federal appeals court in San Francisco ruled Tuesday on an issue that has divided federal courts and is likely headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The 2-1 ruling by the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in a case from Hawaii may not last long — it was written by one of the court’s most conservative judges, Diarmuid O’Scannlain, whose previous decision striking down a California concealed-weapons law was overturned by the court’s liberal majority. But it highlights a Second Amendment issue the high court has sidestepped since 2008, when it ruled for the first time that the Constitution guarantees the right to possess a handgun at home for self-defense.

Boy, I thought this Playboy Bunny thang was going to blow everything else off the front front page for the next three weeks. But no. Nada. Lead ballon. When Trump did not invoke attorney-client privilege said, “Go ahead, release the tapes!”,....welll....that be like Trump flushing the punch bowls and overturning the Hors d’Oeuvres tables at all those Hillary Victory parties across the fruited plains. He knows how to crash a perfectly good love fest.

Oh sure, messed up MSNBC will try to make a big slash with it, CNN is trying to get wings on that nothingburger, bless their little hearts. Huff-n-Puff Compost will beat it into the ground on their “news” blogs. No legs.
To add salt in their wounds, little piglet is pissed about the recent (2) 2nd Amendment decisions. He is losing his mind, a common occurrence when the walls come tumbling down all around your helpless self and that feeling of mortality creeps in. And to think for piglet the world was once his oyster just a few short months ago. Alas. TDS and standing against the wind. Bad place to be.

"I think that the president sometimes literally does troll the media and the left," Baier said. "I think that he wants heads to explode."

Ya think? Hey, Brett, I love ya buddy, love your books on history and quasi-biographies, but, darn, that a no brainer. Everyone knows the trolls hate to be trolled. One taste of her own medicine, and Aunt Maxie said maybe we will try a different approach. Say it once, will say it again. The revolution is not equipped to handle the counter-revolution. No tools for that one. Of course Trump trolls the media and leftists. It’s part of the counter-revolution. Do your thing, Mr. President, let it all hang out.

$12 billion in aid to farmers is not exactly chump change. Isn't that Socialism Bill. I thought you guy believe in free trade.

Re: CA ammo ban overturned.

With all the hype building like a crescendo leading up to our little Townhall Meeting in Nirvana City for a talk about guns, the first thing that came out of the Presiding judge’s mouth is “We are not here to talk about the 2nd Amendment.” Ok, a discussion of guns in our community without discussing the law was kinda puzzling. Like weird. Like something only a Democrat Socialist would come up with. Talk about putting the cart before the horse. What a waste of time, what a nothingburger. Maybe hang up more Gun Free Zones on our schools and do the active shooter drills along with the fire drills, but don’t start with the Second Amendment. Must not go there, ROFLMAO. It’s a distraction. Do not go there! Opps.

Gotta really feel for Party Smith at times like this. I could have been more patient with her. Hey, anybody know when the follow up discussion on guns in our community is scheduled?

Meanwhile, Chubby Cheeks in North Korea has not done a missle test since Nov, 2017 and no one has shoot up Lyman Gilmore Middle School this week. Probably cause it’s summer vacation.

Paul Emery

What's lame about it George? Doesn't free enterprise allow the markets to determine themselves without government interference? Trump interfering with Free Trade and expecting the taxpayer to pick up the tab to reimburse those who take the losses sure sounds like Socialism to me.

Bill Tozer

Dr. Rebane.
One must think of others. First our beloved bubble boy “news” director has a bad lingering case of BDS. Then along comes along that La Mafia la Malfa character to threaten his blue county about the Trump shook the poison tree to its core. I think La Malfa Degrangement Syndrome preceded TDS, or maybe they arrived simultaneously, but I could be wrong.

Good Gawd, Dr. Rebane, show some mercy. Have you no heart? Can’t you see the poor po tormented soul is suffering? Have you no compassion for the agony that was crept into every fiber of his being? He was barely just starting to recover from BDS when he got hit with the double whammy and it’s a lot worse than BDS. A lot worse. Way wors.
La Malfa and Trump. And Trump is President living in the White House and La Malfa respresents all the Deplorables living in his Blue World! Show some understanding, good Doc. Think of others for crying out loud. You would not talk this way if he was suffering from cancer. No you wouldn’t. Shame on you, shame. TDS is a fact of life. So is LMDS.

Yo Punchy: I have just eight words for you. La Malfa La Malfa La Malfa La Malfa.

Bill

I take it you support Trump using taxpayers money to subsidize farmers loses due to his failed trade policies. Here are some examples of Republican reactions:

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

“This is becoming more and more like a Soviet type of economy here: Commissars deciding who’s going to be granted waivers, commissars in the administration figuring out how they’re going to sprinkle around benefits, I’m very exasperated. This is serious."

Sen. John Thune of South Dakota

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) said Trump is giving farmers “golden crutches,” while Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) said “this bailout compounds bad policy with more bad policy.” Toomey and GOP Sens. Jeff Flake of Arizona and Bob Corker of Tennessee said their legislation to tie the president’s hands on tariffs should pick up new steam now that the Trump administration is distorting the market."

“This is what we feared all along, that these markets would be replaced by handouts,” Flake said. “You lose some of these markets, you lose them for good or a long time.”

“You put people in the poorhouse and provide them aid. What you need to do is not put them in the poorhouse,” Corker said. "They put in place a policy that requires farmers to go on welfare."

there's more but it's plain to see that you support Trump as you always do.

Don Bessee

DOH! what you did not.. cut and past failure! lol

Back to what matters, heck ya, make the enablers feel the pain for their legal transgressions!

The Department of Homeland Security has dramatically raised worksite enforcement to deter employers from hiring cheap illegal workers.
Since October, the agency’s Homeland Security Investigations unit has checked employment records at 6,093 worksites, up from 1,716 in the prior fiscal year from October 2016 to the end of September 2017. The current pace of checks in 2018 is almost a five-fold increase from the prior year and included 100 stores in the 7-Eleven chain and 77 companies in California.

What good is food stamps if there ain’t no food in the stores? People gotta eat, farmers gotta raise the crops. Think we give our Starkiss Charlie Tuna canneries in America Somalia were those throwin’ Somalians work for. Helps them compete against the rice eaters and creates jobs. Cheaper than welfare payments, I reckon. American Jobs.

Tuna does not come from the corner store. Neither does food. Hey, people can buy local organic produce on food stamps now. What more do you want?

Opps. Strike that tuna stuff. I forgot that Pelosi’s husband gone sold Charley Tuna to the rice eaters shortly after receiving tax payer dollars to keep the industry afloat.

MSNBC’s Hardball was one such place with host Chris Matthews asserting that he [Sessions] “join[ed] in chants of ‘lock her up’” while panelists lost their minds over “crazy” and “troubling” behavior by Sessions and students, respectively, that should have led news programs and “calls for investigation for his conduct.”
