We visited the Empire Mine State Park recently and I asked about the possible closing. The Ranger in charge said that they were revenue neutral, paying their own way with the rent from weddings, parties and the gift shop.

If that is true, then a cash neutral state park that is also a cash importer to the community should be a no-brainer to keep open. Since Sacramento fulfills that pre-requisite, we should be able to make the argument that even they can understand.
