For generations the Swiss have required that all households with military age males keep a fully automatic assault weapon in their home with a combat load of ammunition. Shooting and staying qualified with such weapons is a family affair and supported by the government. Seeing people going to the local range with a weapon slung over their shoulder is a common sight. The crime rate in the country is miniscule.
Hat tip to an RR reader.
I'd love to have my military M14, M16 and M1911 parked in my house. But I guess asking for the M5 grenade launcher, M21 rocket launcher and twin miniguns from my old UH-1C helicopter might be asking too much.

I support this!
I hate the ever increasing gun and ammo control laws. The bad guys have no problems getting any and all the guns and ammo they want and law abiding citizens get screwed.

Steve,
We are on the same page. We do have some thing to agree on! Gun sales are up and crime is down. Who would have thought.
