When you promise to rob Peter to pay Paul, you will have Paul’s full support.
The latest Gallup poll confirms that only the very poor and young give Obama a slim majority (52%) in his job approval rating. The remaining demographic classes are all well below majority levels (46%). More here and here.
These ratings are just one of many indicators why our radically progressive President and his equally tilted Congress has had to ram Obamacare through on a bed of lies that now surface daily like the oil in the Gulf. And it also explains why the same crowd must next ram through Cap and Tax (aka Kerry-Lieberman) under the guise of solving the country’s dependence on foreign oil and preventing accidents like the ongoing BP spill and stopping global warming and reducing deficits and building our economy and creating jobs and ... . Never mind that the contradictions are big enough allow a CVN to pass through unimpeded. The administration’s lie machine is well oiled, warmed up, and already working overtime.
'Damn those poor and ignorant people, we are making a new world order for their benefit – they’ll thank us later when they realize all we have done for them.' (H/T to RR reader.)
[21jun2010 update] The British National Health Service has been cited by the progressives as a model for what Obamacare will ideally become at some future enlightened time. They are undoubtedly right that Obamacare will become another unsustainable socialized NHS, but I'll bet you won't like it. Check out the progress going on in Great Britain (here). (H/T to another RR reader.)
Reminds me of a quip by Conan O'Brien regarding Obama's new McDonald's Value Meal.
Order anything you like and the guy behind you has to pay for it.
