Reality is reality, Keach, and if you say I act as if I am part of an aviation "angelic royalty", you're just blowing smoke out of your ass (as usual) if you can't dredge up at least one quote that supports it.

I don't know what you think that photo represents. Is that where you live? Or just some random place you'd like to live? And why do you think this jog in the thread is appropriate?

Gregory

"If i say it is near the ground, and you say all the warming folks are looking for it upstairs but can't find it, doesn't that seem to re-enforce the opinion I posted?"

No, it doesn't. You see, Keach, the scientists you keep trying to help know it isn't CO2 at ground level that is the problem. Cities are warmer not because of more CO2, they're warm because of asphault and other man made surfaces. But keep pulling those butt monkey ideas out, eventually you'll run out of self respect and have to stop.

Douglas Keachie

"I don't know what you think that photo represents. Is that where you live? Or just some random place you'd like to live? And why do you think this jog in the thread is appropriate?"

It's within 12 air miles from where you park your propane tank. I guess you don't look around much at the ground when you are flying. When you finally figure it out, you'll find it is very relevant to the conversation and my comment.

Gregory

A 12 mile radius covers over 450 square miles, and I don't fly around to take pointless out of focus pictures hoping someone will buy one someday.

Grow up, Keach, before you run out of days.

Douglas Keachie

Picture is scaled way down from full quality. No intentions of giving anything away. BTW did you design this?

Gregory

Grow up, Keach; I have no intention of trying to figure out where this Keachieville exists in order to understand an apparent insult you think is clever.

You have lied about me on numerous occasions with intent to damage my reputation; thanks for not disputing this.

Douglas Keachie

Here is a closeup at a nice resolution. I've sold images up to 4 feet by 8 feet as photographic prints. That one had an interesting story behind it. The developer wanted downtown San Rafael, low and close, and budget a grand for it, as others had told him it would cost more for the copter. I told him I thought I could do it, for a grand, and he agreed. That included the print the mounting and the framing at a cost of $200. I promptly went up the hillside, scouted around a bit, found the right tree, climbed it with a say and camera, sawed off one branch, took some good shots, and completed the sale a couple of days later when the slides came back from processing. He never knew, I never flew.

You should just from taking Sunday drives, be able to figure out where this is. Is it a stumper for you?

Douglas Keachie

I have no intention nor have I ever had an intentions about lying to damage your reputation. I'll leave that up to you. BTW this shot is merely a cropping from the mid portion of the first one. If a closeup like this was desired, in full size and full resolution, then a helicopter or a balloon, rather than a fixed wing craft, would be used. Perhaps you have some pictures you've taken from your plane which might teach me the difference between my apparently low standard of sharpness and your angelic aviator's standard of sharpness?

Take any shot you've got, and if I'm in the air nearby, I'll see if I can equal it. Or maybe even improve on it....

Gregory

Keach, I have no need to enter into an aerial photo pissing match, and I don't care where Keachieville is or why you think it's a hoot.

The ugliest smears were at Peelines when he was suborning your slanders, but in this thread you've made stuff up about me; lets find a few:
1) "You'd make a lot more friends if you could learn to teach others about their errors in math, rather than berating them, all the while crowing about what a superior being you are."
-I've never "crowed" about being a superior being. Never happened, not once or many. Find a quote to support that. I've berated you for math mistakes, but you were already deserving of beratement by that time. In spades. I've never wanted you as a friend, either.

2) "I know you have unbounded faith in databases and the government"
-Another outrageous fib

3)
-Falsely claiming multiple times we had a $100 bet that I was refusing to pay off.

4) "Time for you to take your blood pressure meds, before you totally lose it."
-Sorry, Keach. Old enough to be losing hair but don't take BP meds or anything else on a regular basis.

5) "You like being sanctimonious about the starving children"
-Never have been. Not once. Quote to support this, please, or retract it.

6) "and one more incident of the constant oneupsmanship that so dominates your life, and apparently at your own choosing."
-More bogus hyperbole meant to damage. I argue against people like you, and don't have to make stuff up, bogus facts or sock puppets, to make my point.

7)"in a blaze of private college glory, and UC System envy. By sheer numbers, I'll bet you've been turned down for many a job, where a UC grad was hired. What is it you do, really, legacy systems repair and updates?"
-Pure denigrations without supporting facts. No evidence of "private college glory" or "UC System envy" that is probably from your brotherly disputes. No evidence I'd lost out on jobs to UC grads (just where did that come from? Everyone competes) and you knew "legacy systems repair and updates" was pure fabrication.

8)"the angelic royalty you seem to connect with aviation"
-I never have said anything remotely like this. A pure fabrication you cannot substantiate.

Then there's the outrageously bigoted "Sometimes BSEE's and mental health don't go together so well, which is why I wonder about you too".

In short, Keachie, I have no respect for you. You're apparently a narcissistic, malicious know-nothing who has little clue how the world works and lacks the patience to figure it out.

Douglas Keachie

"Keach, I have no need to enter into an aerial photo pissing match, and I don't care where Keachieville is or why you think it's a hoot. "

But you seem to love your Academia Nut pissing match, and as I said before, I not going to bother responding to anything you write about me here, I'll just keep copies like you do, except mine are on FB, "greggie Sayz Goodknight," for friends only to see and be amused by. and just leave a note referencing each non constructive put down here, e.g.,

And then go on to make whatever additional comments of a non personal nature that I wish to make, in the post, because George doesn't like lots of little posts, which I can understand, if each one represents a separate notification to him. That way your ego can be stroked for me having noticed your unchanged brain diaper, and the rest of the world can go on as usual. BTW, in time younger daughter may take note, and decide by extension you are damaging her name, as it is an extremely rare name, and she will have the resources to sue you for propane tank and all. I suggest you stop being silly and ignore me as I am ignoring you, starting now. BTW, next time you are over Smartsville, look down.

Gregory

If there are any readers of this train wreck, Keachie was infamous for creating a plethora of blog sock puppets at The Union, and one of his favorite targets were my posts (starting circa 2007) poking holes in the IPCC climate narrative, presenting the rising cosmoclimatological and related theories of Drs. Svensmark, Shaviv, Veizer, Kirkby and other physical scientists. Referring back to the top of this thread, Keachie truly is a climate change clown.

"Academia Nut pissing match" is Keachiespeak for the basic claim that a BA in Anthropology from a top tier public university matches a degrees in physics for the purposes of discussing physics and engineering, even when said anthropologist never actually studied any physics or engineering. Why understand when you can always copy a chunk of text from Wikipedia that seems to say something related? Keachie latched on to the fact I've a degree from a private college, and his Stanford envy dating from his older brother's attendence there apparently drove Keachie to play Ahab to my Great White Whale.

I have suggested Keachie take the UC transfer creditworthy introductory classes in chemistry, physics and mathematics at Sierra College if he really wants a hint of what he's been wanting to learn by osmosis in blogs like this, but he's been unwilling to actually tackle the material.

It might be fun to put brother Stephen in touch with you, but your life has enough angst already.

"Every candidate should support rational measures to protect and improve our environment, but it makes no sense at all to back expensive programs that divert resources from real needs and are based on alarming but untenable claims of "incontrovertible" evidence."

The Republican nominees have all spent considerable time debunking global warming? Or not? If not, why not? You would think that one of them would take a "cooler tan thou" stance.

Douglas Keachie

They aren't doing so hot about protecting endangered species like Delphinapterus Leucas either. But then, I'm not helping the cause too much either.

Gregory

"The Republican nominees have all spent considerable time debunking global warming? Or not? If not, why not?"

Because they're politicians with almost as weak a grasp of the science as you have, Keach, and none of their supporters want onerous restrictions on carbon-based fuels. However, by chance, they're on the correct side of the issue, and you apparently are still not.

You've also not owned up to the lies and falsehoods I detailed on 02 February 2012 at 12:20 AM

Duly noted and recorded, Greg's delusional persecution complex flares up again.

Gregory

"Greg's delusional persecution complex flares up again."

George, here's a fresh petite slander from Keachie, and the "the lies and falsehoods I detailed on 02 February 2012 at 12:20 AM" remain.

Gregory

Keachie instituted his new tactic thusly:
"I'll just keep copies like you do, except mine are on FB, "greggie Sayz Goodknight," for friends only to see and be amused by. and just leave a note referencing each non constructive put down here, e.g.,

Please note the latest "additional comment" was indeed a personal slander.

Douglas Keachie

Greg, all things I post on line are, IMHO only. The are not declarations of absolute truthy fact. Everything I do is laced with a strong dose of satire and humor. Sometimes I'm too lazy to even bother recording your stuff. Get over it. The world does not revolve around you, IMHO.

Gregory

"[M]erely labeling a statement as your "opinion" does not make it so. Courts look at whether a reasonable reader or listener could understand the statement as asserting a statement of verifiable fact. (A verifiable fact is one capable of being proven true or false.)"

Gregory

https://www.eff.org/issues/bloggers/legal/liability/defamation

You made multiple assertions that certainly look like statements of verifiable fact that were in fact complete fabrications on your part.

If you wish to state that all the listings I made of such fabrications on 02 February 2012 at 12:20 AM were in fact satire and other figments of your imagination I'll be happy to accept that as an apology.

Douglas Keachie

And in a court hearing they would look at the entire history, and you would come off sadly lacking, especially with your recent stuff, especially the "fighting words" which George has deleted, but too late, as they were already copied. As for me doing an Alex Baldwin to your page, I don't think so.

Gregory

"The world does not revolve around you, IMHO."

Of course. However, your attempts to try to take me down a notch or two was the reason this thread went awry. You and your fevered fabrications.

Douglas Keachie

Festering with fevered fabrications, are we? Duly noted, sending get well card soon...

Gregory

Climate change alarmists have certainly cranked out some nice photoshopped propaganda. The one Keachie just posted isn't the current reality (not that it ever was), which is that much of the Arctic is experiencing a frigid winter that hasn't seen its equal in over a century.

The death toll from the current bitter cold weather in Europe is over 300.

George Rebane

To the AGW true believers, two and three sigma events of continent wide freezes are just "weather". But normal hot days, hurricanes, ... that remain in the +/- one sigma region are clear evidence of man-made global warming.
