So FUE, tell us all here. Why were you booted from the Ubion? We have heard you were quite a jerk with the locals and there were a lot of complaints about you. Is that the case? Your tenure there was pretty short. Was it your attitude about denigrating the locals?
Also, CABPRO is now 21 years old and still going. Frustrating libs like you on a daily basis. O am very proud they are. Yell us FUE, what special things have you created that are helping the human race do better? Inquiring minds really don't care about you, but hey, eht the heck You and Reinette can raise worms. LOL!

Since I seem to be the cause de jour of the current foothills report/RR scuffle I will add this to the cauldron. The personal attacks, issues, and grudges are better suited for an elementary school playground than blogs that attempt to hold discussions about important and/or relevant/interesting topics. I made reference a few days ago to sharks on a feeding frenzy and Fish ask for more specific information.. The last series of posts on the SoJ thread is a classic example. The longer it goes on the more vicious it gets, and mostly about nothing of particular importance or significance. It just shows how divided our country has been manipulated into becoming. One can only hope the division finds a way to heal because the path we are currently on leads to disaster and no viable solutions ever come from drawing lines in the sand and digging in. Our system is designed to create compromise which doesn't really work.. it is a half-assed approach. We need consensus solutions to solve our problems and that can't happen when the participants are separated by the Grand Canyon. Having said that, the feeding frenzies are pretty funny to read. great entertainment.

JoeK 535pm - all too true Joe as we have been observing since RR's launch. However, there is no "scuffle" between RR and any other blog, unless, of course, it takes one to scuffle. I cannot say that about other blogs and RR readers who are free to visit any sites they choose and express their views when commenting here.

Agree with Joe Koyote. There are much better things to chat about that one solitary man. I won't give him the power. He knows he can pop over here, kick the hornet's nest and get the last laugh. True to form. At least he is consistent.
I once became self employed cause no one would hire me in a particular neck of the woods. Slim pickins anyhow. Nothing wrong with taking control of one's life. See, I can be nice.
If you guys would stop popping over to Mr. Pelline's blog and run back here to tell Mommie and Daddy all the nasty things said about us, then there would be no problem. We are turning into a bunch of old hens in a gossip fest. Yes, I will still refer to the unmentioned soul as Fattis Maxius because if one is going to play the Emperor, then the title fits.
To each his own. Blogging about issues does or does not have to be competitive sport, but it sure is fun when the gloves come off and it gets personal....for awhile. Think I am done kicking the dead horse.

Pelline, please tell us the truth why you are really not at the Union. You dodge the question and then try an double down. You see FUE, I really don't care what you print about me. You cannot rile me. What the community wants to know is why as some say, you were fired for cause from the paper. What did you do? Would what you did, if you did it, a arrestable offense? Please fess up an let it out. We all know you want us to know the truth. You were given a very trusted place in the community FUE and I am surprised that you try and obfuscate it. The Editor of our newspaper is an important and trusted position. I personally have never been fired from a trusted position. Can you tell now and release your guilt? What a hoot!!

Shoot howdy, that is a long long long list. Interesting names. A lot of folks falling behind. Saw a Titman on the list....do not know the person, but I can only imagine he had a rough time in 2nd and 3rd grades.
Filing bankruptcy or falling behind happens to a lot better people than I. Honest Abe comes to mind and was it Hoover that died a pauper? Mark Twain had to go on his speaking tour to cover his debts just to make some dough ASAP cause he was insolvent. Not a criminal act. Heck, even Bubba and Mrs. Rodham left the Oval Office penniless (according to her recent truthful statements)and unable to pay their massive debt incurred for legal fees and Willy getting disbarred from the Arkansas State Bar and all. They were broke and unable to pay their bills. That is probably why Mrs. Rodman took the furniture and some dishes and even tried to take the drapes before she got caught. The drapes stayed with claw marks on them.
Ok, who has the biggest toys and abode? There are some things money can't buy, like character and a good reputation. The aforementioned traits are worth more than gold. And if one is really really fortunate, he will have one, maybe 2 good real close friends in life, not just acquaintances. Seem to recall someone was quoted recently saying "what you sow is what you reap."
I still owe my Dad 300 clams, but he passed away so I am in debt forever and ever, Amen.

Welcome Mr. Koyote. You really know how to hurt a guy. Comparing Fattis Maximus's rants about his former employer who fired his sorry gluteus maximus to us clamoring about Benghazi is like telling a comedian he ain't funny. Heard his new boss is a Class A anal cavity. Self employed now, is he not?
Don't forget to take yer blood thinners. I will be taking mine so we have a level playing field.
Enjoyed Ms. Patty's link. We are a Republic. Our founders knew of the whims and passing passions of the majority. Suppose that is why each state, no matter how small and rural (sparsely populated) has 2 Senators. Nice civics review.
A new state would be an long strenuous uphill battle as Dr. Rebane overtly conceded. Just glance towards Puerto Rico.
I for one will not be the first to darken the new sandbox. Just like being sociably late for a party.

I for one admire the fortitude and the guts that Reinette continues to show regards her beliefs. By the way WTF does Benghazi have to do with terrazzo Lights??? Do you always have such a tough time sticking to the issues at hand? Why don’t all you hysterical/ historical folks let the majority of the public decide this issue!

Jeff,
Maybe you should give this blog a rest. I think you'd be happier.
Perhaps someone can point out the numbers showing increased economic activity in the area due to Ms. Senum's efforts, or is just being seen doing *something* as important as actually getting something of actual value done? Her lifestyle work is very nice, but you can't pay retiring city employees their pensions on the cash generated by the Farmer's Markets, and the oversized dog houses for the homeless have not been a big hit.

Alright, 3 minutes are over. Carry on.
Even talk about the State Of George Jefferson is because rural counties are not be listened to, their concerns not addressed, nor even taken half way seriously. They act like we are the senile Grandpa sitting at the dinner table who is to be politely acknowledged for amusement's sake but never taken seriously.
It is not just a CA or Colorada thing. Read blogs from Illinois and its the same thing. The Twin cities, Chicago, Denver, Sackofpotatoes are dirty words. No love for Capital Cities. Majority rules and all that stuff. If Jerry Brown and the state legislatures from the urban jungles wanted to build a bridge all the way to Japan, we have NO say.

The EPA and the economy:
“EPA is recklessly rushing ahead,” said Texas Republican Rep. Lamar Smith. “In this proposal, the EPA disregarded the law requiring independent scientific review; silenced its scientific advisors; denied review of carbon storage science; and adopted an energy policy that ignores technical and practical realities.”
“The NSPS fundamentally obscures the state of technology and rejects sound energy policy. In so doing, the EPA displays a striking disregard for the law and scientific integrity, while jeopardizing our nation’s future,” Smith said.

George: I must commend you on the creation of the Sandbox. Very good idea for keeping the random comments in place. Sorry about getting "out of line," and in an effort to change the subject from the all knowing all powerful, what is going to happen with the Hobby Lobby case today?
Posted by: Barry Pruett | 30 June 2014 at 03:39 AM
Looks like the Supreme Court is brining law and order back from the depths. The recent Supreme Court rulings against the lawless dictatorial regime of Obama are a welcomed sight for these tired eyes.
Posted by: Barry Pruett | 30 June 2014 at 07:51 AM
Barry,
The ruling was 5-4.
Posted by: JeffPelline | 30 June 2014 at 07:56 AM
"I Hear a Symphony" was the title of The Supremes' hit back in the day.
Slammed the unions in Illinois for being forced to pay union dues for looking after chronically ill family members as well.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/06/30/supreme-court-rules-against-unions-in-home-healthcare-worker-case/
But most telling to me was the 9-0 decision that the Senate is on recess when they say they are on recesses, not another branch of government, aka, Obama. Surprising is the most liberal judges on the court wrote the opinion in a scathing tone.
Posted by: Bill Tozer | 30 June 2014 at 08:06 AM
Yes. 5-4 ruling and the Supreme Court keeps protecting liberty as the lawless regime keeps attempting to take away liberty. I am in a good mood today...sitting by the pool and reading. With love, Barry from Orlando, Florida.

That SCOTUS is beginning to acknowledge Obama's overreach is already a victory as this president has acted like a central American tinpot to the fawning approval of his base. I think that given its make up SCOTUS will have closer splits as it rules on issues involving specific legislation that extends the scope and reach of government in general. This as opposed to adjudicating contentions between the branches. I am looking forward to the House suit against the president.
Meanwhile, Obama continues to endear himself to us by loudly repeating the lie that Repubs in Congress are the reason for gridlock when ol' Harry has not even brought to the floor of the Senate over 200 bills that the House has sent it. (And no lamestream outlet, including local ones, make any mention of that as the pillory conservatives.) I guess by liberal standards, gridlock only works one way.
Posted by: George Rebane | 30 June 2014 at 08:19 AM
Opps, misstatement as if anyone cares. Unions were forcing FAMILY members caring for their loved ones union dues.
5-4 rulings are 100% of the law.
Posted by: Bill Tozer | 30 June 2014 at 08:20 AM
Yes...unlike elections where a candidate can claim a "mandate," all Supreme Court rulings are mandates regardless of the dissent.
Posted by: Barry Pruett | 30 June 2014 at 08:25 AM
Even in elections all one needs is 50% plus one to change the direction. Anyone who claims a 5-4 is somehow diminimis is a screwball. As was said, a 5-4 is the same as a 100% decision.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 30 June 2014 at 08:33 AM
One thing I did learn about these decisions though. When the SCOTUS ruled that the "wetlands" wholly within a state were not subject to federal 404 permits because there was no "navigable waters" crossing interstate borders, the bureaucracies still found ways around the decision. They are paid big money to sit at desks and come up with all this crap. We need to reign that crap in.
Regarding the Kennedy opinion on this "rule" by Sebelius. I have always discussed and encouraged the legislatures to pass complete bills so there will be no interpretation and rules passed by the regulators without a vote and more importantly, understanding, of the laws passed. Kennedy made some sort of jab at the regulators on this.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 30 June 2014 at 08:39 AM
A 5-4 ruling along ideological lines is not anymore a "mandate" than a close vote in an election. The four voices still exist in the debate — and in the public's mind. It is an ongoing dialogue. Many people had thought the vote would be "unanimous."
Having said that, if the argument is truly "religious liberty," then it is acceptable. How can you argue with that? On the other hand, there is the more pragmatic issue of companies that have to manage their health costs.
Either way, it would be incorrect to draw any broad conclusion about government "overreach," except for rigid ideologues.
As the NYT reports: "The companies said they had no objection to other forms of contraception, including condoms, diaphragms, sponges, several kinds of birth control pills and sterilization surgery.
The Obama administration said it did not question the sincerity of the companies’ beliefs, and it has offered exemptions to other groups on such grounds."
So in fact, both sides are open to compromise.
Posted by: JeffPelline | 30 June 2014 at 08:45 AM
It is only incorrect in your narrow liberal view. Over that past week, the Supreme Court has rebuked both Obama and liberal ideology. That must really bother you. Back to the sun...
Posted by: Barry Pruett | 30 June 2014 at 08:50 AM
No, it doesn't bother me, because my view is "middle of the road." The Supreme Court also upheld same-sex marriage. It is a mixed bag. These Supreme Court rulings are about American culture; I don't keep score as if it was a football game. That's too simplistic. Hope you're enjoying the humidity of Northern Florida in summertime; it's gorgeous at the Lake.
Posted by: JeffPelline | 30 June 2014 at 08:55 AM
That over half the country and prestigious publications like The Economist and WSJ believing that there is rampant overreach by our governments - the federal and most states, especially California - will make them "rigid ideologues" is more of a commentary on the evident ideology of the commentator than what is happening in the real world.
Posted by: George Rebane | 30 June 2014 at 09:00 AM
WTF Jeffy??? SCOTUS shot LIBism down in flames. The "argument" is over.
There is no more courts to drag it's dead hide too.
Need rubbers? You have plenty of "choices" of where to buy them. Right down to the corner gas station.
Making one pay for contraception is a far cry from "blocking access", or "denying" ones "right" to said product.
One thing is for sure. Lefty's got their "wee-wee" whacked by the judges gavel. From making Sandra Flunky cry, to kicking unions in the "junk". ( Put some ice on that.. It's will be weeks before the Dr. can see you)

Posted by: JeffPelline | 30 June 2014 at 09:06 AM
Let me try again. George, Citing The Economist and WSJ to prove your point isn't very persuasive. Walt, your language is colorful but you obviously have not read today's ruling and do not understand the company's position. "As the NYT reports: "The companies said they had no objection to other forms of contraception, including condoms, diaphragms, sponges, several kinds of birth control pills and sterilization surgery."
Posted by: JeffPelline | 30 June 2014 at 09:10 AM
The SCOTUS remanded the homosexual issues back to the states. The did not rule it one way pr the other I believe.
Since the FUE exhibits in its finest form, partisan divide, it is fruitless to debate him. But you can all try. I simply see the 5-4 victory as a mandate of 100% regarding the laws decided. Any other view is meaningless.
The HobbyLobby decision was a victory for women and a defeat for the femi-nazis. Stay at home, true American values women are the victors since they are not going to be forced by the "gun" of government to pay for others abortions.

"Todd the Polarizer" speaks out "We slayed you" on a 5-4 decision, and now he's also a spokesman for women. "There's something about an Aqua Velva man"!
Posted by: JeffPelline | 30 June 2014 at 09:23 AM
Jeff: Please. Citing the DailyKos as you do regularly is hardly compelling. Shoot it is downright laughable that you pawn it off as fact. Also, I applaud the marriage ruling. States should decide. That said, my personal opinion is that states should decide same-sex marriage is legal, but it is not up to me individually.
Posted by: Barry Pruett | 30 June 2014 at 09:27 AM
Why thanks for the confirmation of my superiority to your noggin. I speak for women who talk to me and I listen carefully. You should try it with women and commenters. You may learn something. As far as polarization, you take the cake. I doubt you can debate one on one without steam coming from your collar and without calling the opposition a name. You are a hooT!

Barry,
For a lawyer, you depend a lot on hyperbole. But it doesn't resonate with intelligent people. Maybe you've become too caught up in tea party talking points. Citing the WSJ, the bastion of hard right conservative views on its Op-Ed page, to prove a point about "government overreach" is not compelling. BTW, I rarely cite the Daily Kos if ever on my blog.
Todd,
You are the king of polarization, and you wear it on your sleeve by lording around on a narrow 5-4 Supreme Court decision.
Posted by: JeffPelline | 30 June 2014 at 09:46 AM
You cited the DailyKos this weekend! The WSJ is by far exponentially more credible to the DailyKos and the Huffington Post. Please Jeff. Go back to your sandbox where you moderate the commentary to fit your needs. You must be desperate following the liberal spanking in Nevada County and now the rise of conservative nationally. You will find no friends here and your rhetoric is exposed. The safety of your regulated sandbox is much better for you.

FUE, Barry has it right on the mark. Since you arrived in Nevada County you have created a lot of partisan negativity and fighting. You are simply a narcissist looking for attention. This blog is for those that want to discuss solutions to pressing issues across the land and here in the county. You have been handily defeated locally and nationally and yet cannot accept it. Please seek help.
I have lived here most of my life and have many friends. From the left and the rght. I am well liked except by a few disgruntled lefties like you. I use that as a plus for me. Anyway, I feel truly sad for you, so much the lonely guy. Too funny!

Is The Union turning into a real-estate agent? Looks like the old Indian Springs vineyards is up for sale again. The same sales pitch too. " houses among the vines"
Maybe a good "investment" for one "who shall not be named",, Worm farms are out, and vines are in! There is plenty of new, cheap, experienced labor just crossing the boarder needing work.
Even El Jeffe' can get in on this. They can split the costs. Just write up some grant papers for submission. Try the biofuel angle. ( but some Lefties who love their wine, would consider that "alcohol abuse"..." How dare you!")

In my simplistic view, the Supreme Court is not one iota about mandates. That is for the other 2 branches of government to harsh out. Its all about one question: Is it Constitutional or not? Nothing to do with mandates.
Yes, the Supreme Court ruled within a narrow scope about Hobby Lobby and also ruled in a narrow scope about the unionized home care workers who are not really state employees because they do not receive all the perks that other "real" state employees receive.
We should not extrapolate these decisions to overturning Row vs Wade or teachers and cops walking away from paying dues to the union thugs and their bosses who are currently having conventions at the nicest spots around the globe.
The Left always cries the "slippery slope, the slippery slope!!"
Two parties addressed the Court of have their grievances heard. In both cases The Supreme Court of the United States America ruled the aggrieved parties had their Constitutional rights trampled on by the State. Obama is having a bad track record lately before his sworn adversary, The Supreme Court.
Mandates? Mandates shamdates. Mandates have nothing to do with a law's Constitutionality. Its to protect the little guy and his minority rights. Anyway, any former Harvard Law Professor of Constitutional Law knows this full well. We are a Republic ruled by law, not a Democracy ruled by a majority. Its for us little people.

"I have only held four jobs: staff writer at the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel...; staff writer and chief technology writer at the S.F. Chronicle covering big business ...; editor at CNET ... and The Union."
Jeff, I'm a bit puzzled about that 'editor at CNET' claim being one of only four jobs of yours; the actual pieces you wrote at CNET for years stated you were just a "staff writer". So, what were you, "editor" or "staff writer"?
Perhaps you could clear something else up for me: I have been told you were universally despised at The Union, given to yelling and in general, being a bully. Hard to imagine, I know. Perhaps some friend of yours from your time there, maybe the kid whose anonymous apology you related in the link you shared, could speak up for your work there.
Finally, by your standards, Huffington, Kos and NYT are solid and unassailable. Economist (a mildly Euro social democratic rag of high standards) and the WSJ are bad and can't be cited in polite company.
And you try to paint yourself as a "moderate". Amazing.

I never have been a fan of hard rock "metal" music.. As for at least ONE band, that's changed. The kid picked up a CD of " Madison Rising",, and begged me to play it, assuring me I would like it. ( Ya.. Sure thing kid,, I have already heard what you listen too..)
DAMN!!!! These guys are good, and the "message" is even better.
Never been a fan of great songs being rewritten for the "personal touch", especially the "Star Spangled Banner". That has been butchered by "artists" at every ball game. These guys actually did it justice!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8C7i9kdEf8
The video is also awesome. ( Video content Warning to LIBS.. The starts and stripes is used "liberally" throughout, along with other patriotic images..)
Just maybe these guys would be worth booking to play at a Nevada Co. event. This is the younger generations music, and what better way to get their attention in Conservative politics?

"A 5-4 ruling along ideological lines is not anymore a "mandate" than a close vote in an election."
The term is "stare decisis", and it is far more than a close vote in an election, ready to be overturned the next time there is a similar case. Face it, Jeff, 5-4 at SCOTUS really is settled law and they aren't likely to overturn it on a whim. It isn't like elections, when the next time a case like that is brought up the issue is decided anew.
Posted by: Gregory | 30 June 2014 at 01:54 PM
Jeffy has gone on the warpath over my note above, regarding his status as a "staff writer" early on at CNET.
Jeff, the issue wasn't whether you were literally an Editor there at the end of your stay, it's whether you were an Editor there at the beginning, which seemed to be your claim. I've found multiple citations of you as a "staff writer", i.e. grunt. From the outside looking in, it appears you were bumped up to "Editor" circa 2004 (though on occasion sometimes as Internet news "editor", lower case before then), and then flamed out not long afterwards.
Here's an example of Pelline's uninflated title:
http://news.cnet.com/Whitehouse.com-goes-to-porn/2100-1023_3-202985.html
Jeffie also seems to think the number of LinkedIn 'friends' seems to indicate something other than his choice to whore around to get "endorsements"; I have not and have even separated my connections to people who, for example, have worked with me in music who then "endorse" my skills in engineering. Sorry, not interested in meaningless endorsements.
More to my challenge... looking over Jeff's LinkedIn endorsements in Journalism... not a single journalist is among the 47 who have given him the nod. It's apparently mostly local government workers and his advertisers.
Posted by: Gregory | 30 June 2014 at 02:53 PM
Thanks Gregory for walking through hot coals to bring us the "news".
I really liked the comments.. All three of them. LOL!!!
Well, he did get THREE comments,, and one commenting on how old the issue was.. Some things just don't change!
Posted by: Walt | 30 June 2014 at 03:26 PM
Stop the presses! Jeffie has shared the fact that one (1) person he worked with at The Union endorsed him for Journalism on LinkedIn... checking, he's absolutely correct, one did. She's been on the street for a couple years and is freelancing. So that's still Zero working-at-a-company journalists endorsing Pelline for journalism. No one from the Chronicle, no one from C/NET, no one at The Union. One and only one person who used to be at The Union. Perhaps Jeff can get her to post here about how well liked Jeff was by his subordinates and peers.

That's why the AGW gang despise the DC even more than FOX.
What was even better was the climate clowns that were asked by Congress if they believed "O" and Co. was right about climate change couldn't stand by the BS. " Raise your hand if AGW is proven." ( or real close to that) None did.... Little Ben will be fit to be tied.

"Greg XXX has a hard time admitting he’s wrong. But worse he resorts to outright lies and fabrications to score points. And Rebane publishes it. Greg: I was hired as an editor at CNET, not a staff writer."
No lies, no fabrications from me, Jeff. I'm just reporting what I found at cnet.com. It calls you a staff writer early on, occasionally an Internet news editor (small e) multiple times early on. So magnanimous of you to accept being called a staff writer when your true title was more exalted.
Then you were on the street from 2004 to 2007, when you accepted the gig at The Union, lasting until 2008.
Stop the presses again! Jeff now claims two (2) former The Union employees gave him some endorsement, and one of them is actually working. Wow.
Jeffie also makes light of his tie to Mikail Graham, and refers to 'our little joke'; the joke being his out and out fabrication of a "temper tantrum" he claimed I threw which, in fact, was a dispassionate letter I wrote to the Marching Presidents regarding their naming Mikail (great red diaper name, eh?) the Col. Bill Lambert Award winner. I recounted, in the first person, how Graham jumped onto Cooper's Bar to steal away what he called "that thing", the dress Navy uniform of one of the bartenders who had been called to active duty, when the bartender was around the corner out of sight. A classic case of hating the soldier, not just the war; he didn't ask to be called to active duty, but his duty he would do. Jeffie apparently invented said tantrum for a bargaining chip... Jeffie offered to apologize if only I'd retract the claim I was told he was "universally despised" at The Union, but damned if I was going to retract something I was told by trustworthy sources in order to get an "apology" for a bald faced lie from Pelline.
The Presidents tried to refund my 'dues' so I wouldn't cause a scene, but that isn't my style (either backing out or causing a scene) but they could not refute my recounting of Graham's denigration of a sailor's uniform and service, and they couldn't denigrate my protest letter *precisely* because it was devoid of emotion. Just the facts catching one in apparently a long line of chickenshit actions by Graham that even his friends acknowledge, and Col. Lambert was probably spinning in his grave the whole time.
Jeff Pelline, you are a baldfaced liar. Just admit you had NO EVIDENCE whatsoever for the claimed "temper tantrum" and we can get past this. I'll even pat your head and praise you for finally doing the right thing.

Mobile bum shower? Haven't seen that one. Bum showers? We used to call that a hose and a fire hydrant. One would think that in this drought we are having and all the conversation measures put in place, that mobile bum showers should go the way of the plastic bag. Wasting water is a crime in some locales. Toss 'em in the bay and give them some non-toxic organic hippy soap because fish are people too and are our friends.
Wasting precious water in this Age of Enlightenment? A sad commentary of our messed up priorities.

The name is spelled "Mikhail."
That you would call someones parents communists just because they named their baby Mikhail really says it all about what a total complete idiot you are.

Mikail Graham's name isn't spelled the usual way, Stevie, I spelled it the way he does, and Mikail is a confirmed member of the left in Nevada City.
I got a double dose of that when he and Utah Philips were the MC's for the so-called "Peace Vigil" at Miner's Foundry in the lead up to the Iraq war, with the two of them leading one of the most hate filled rants I've ever seen. They kept telling their fans that we shouldn't hate the Iraqis, when it was never "hate for the Iraqis" that was the motivator for ANYONE, even the folks who were gung ho for war. Even John Kerry was for the war before he was against it.
Mikail did a nice imitation Sinead O'Connor tear-up-a-photo-of-the-Pope as the real enemy while he was at it. I had enough at about 2AM.

If there is any real debate about the popularity, (or lack of) of the FUE when he was employed at The Union, one needs to simply ask ANYONE who worked there at that time, how he was to work for, with, etc. In my experience it is UNIVERSALLY 100% Negative! I challenge anyone to publicly state an opposing view. It is EXACTLY like communicating with him now. Rude, arrogant, dishonest, condescending, you name it, you will find it in a survey of former co-workers. Any suggestion otherwise is comical at best!

Well hey, I thought I dropped A Frisch this morning and there he is again! Crap! I think the Truckee corpulent one is in the same league aas the FUE. I heard he was hiring some latinos since his 501c3 tax payer grants required diversity. Is that true? Too funny.
Regarding the FUE. I was told some info about the FUE and a woman he apparently treated poorly who had something to do with the Miner's Foundry. Seems it was not long after that meeting the FUE was history. Is that true? Something about treating her like a prick. I mean like a Frisch!

First I was not sure about the creation of the sandbox. Now I see it as pure genius. The "he said she said" will go on to infinity, but what better place to put the amateur boxing ring than in the school gymnasium while science class is in session.
Almost as entertaining as watching AC?DC's Thunderstruck played on cellos.

“Imposing religion on workers”
Posted on June 30, 2014 by jeffpelline
“The Supreme Court’s deeply dismaying decision on Monday in the Hobby Lobby case swept aside accepted principles of corporate law and religious liberty to grant owners of closely held, for-profit companies an unprecedented right to impose their religious views on employees,” The New York Times is reporting on its Op-Ed page.
Looks like both the "Old Grey Lady" and the "Old Fat Lady" are miffed that Hobby Lobby no longer has to be complicit in inducing abortions. Hey Fattius...women still have safe and legal access to all the contraception they had last Friday....they just have to pay for some of it now.
Imposing religion?
You should work for the Times....your grasp of logic is as flawed as theirs.

Here is a good article about the Court's reasoning:
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-06-30/obamacare-rebuffed-by-high-court-in-contraception-ruling.html
The government failed the pass the second part of the test. Also, the owners of a pro-profit company are just a group of human beings and those humans have religious rights whether at home, at play, or at work.
Gregory was right when writing about another topic. Using a word with a upper case or lower case makes all the difference in the world. In this case citizens or citizen. To expound:
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/06/30/hobby-lobby-ruling-why-supreme-court-got-it-right/
Of course the government can step in at anytime and cover the abortion pill gap.
Mr. Pelline, its all about Constitutional or Unconstitutional. Just like the Commence Clause that some love, others disdain. How come a person growing wheat in his back yard, selling the wheat to absolutely no one, consuming it solely for himself, not sending it over state lines or even giving it away or sharing the fruit of his labor with no one is regulated under The Commence Clause? Think about those consequences. No, strike that. Ponder solely if it is Constitutional or Unconstitutional.
What drives the Left batty is the Constitution is not a document that spells out what government cannot do: rather it spells out what the government can do. If you can't find it in the Constitution, then the government cannot do it.
At least Obama is taking this all in stride.

One of the interersting things about the Hobby Lobby case is that the Supreme Court used a law written and supported by Democrats (Kennedy and Moynihan) and signed by Clinton. Now Scnumer (who authored the legislation) is complaining about the consequences of freedom of religion which he supported when Clinton was President. The fact is the government cannot compel me to violate my deeply held religious beliefs whether it be forcing me to subsidize abortions or smoke peyote. The Supreme Court decision is a win for freedom and liberty which all should celebrate.
Our founding fathers created a government in which freedom and liberty reigns. Hopefully we can keep it.

Of course the government can step in at anytime and cover the abortion pill gap.
But it's no fun unless you can force someone else to do it Bill!

Man, you said it. George and Russ, Todd and Greg, Billy Tozer, Barry, Walt, Fish…..amazing. They should call it the Litterbox instead of the Sandbox. Fat jokes, excrement jokes, threats of libel, cyber bullying, even physical threats to both me and Ben at different times (Oh Noes). More lies and insults per square inch than def comedy jam. This is the intellectual right of Nevada County. I miss Bill Buckley and Irving Kristol.
There's nothing more satisfying than the smug of the credentialed right thinker. I don't know if your noticing it yet but your writing is giving off just a hint of desperation these days.
You wanna talk about it Steve?
I'm here for you buddy.

Oops, wait! I have to take a Frisch. OK, I am back. Now where did the Truckee rent-seeker say that fish?
Anyway, I would suspect Buckley and Kristol would be with us in the disdain we feel and write about regarding the liberals like TheFrisch. Oops, tummy rumbling, be right back. OK, now when a liberal/democrat tells us how we should be conducting ourselves I know we have won. They cannot accept that others are different so they pigeon-hole everyone except themselves of course. I also think it amusing wjen they state their opinions and advice on how we should change our ways politically in order to regain the majority. Now why would they do that? Ropa-dope? So, when the left speaks on anything I suspect they are simply spreading propaganda and I dismiss it. Just as I dismissed my Frisch this morning. LOL!

I am with Michael Anderson on how you should spend your down time between needed dozes of Haldol.
Yep...... nothing insulting or defamatory about implying someone requires antipsychotics.
Way to take the high road there Gummi Bear Girl.....

I think you can guess....but should there be any lurkers in the audience who only follow intermittently....that would be over at "jeffys lefty self congratulatory circle of whimsy".

And that comment from a fellow who spent his employees taxes to the tune of $250,000. He has no credibility on the ethics and morality planes. Too funny.

My my. Such tasty treats this morning. I must defend my scared honor even though it is absolutely not necessary. But I shall sink down into the abyss and fill my boots with slime to meet my brethren from across the aisle half way.
I for one never posted the link about EPA employees defecating in the hallways. I could have, but my extreme self control prevented me. I used to have more self discipline, but now I refuse to be a slave to it.
Whoever leaked the national news about EPA employees pooping in the halls not once, not twice, but thrice must a whistle blower or someone that does enjoy stepping in a pile of Frisch. Or maybe one of those compulsive obsessive control freaks that come over here to straighten out the sandbox.
Now, whose that pooping in the halls? Someone from the Right? Some neo-con Nazi? Or some sicko that delights in showing others the sights and smells of fresh warm human debris in a pedestrian corridor (ain't taking about Fattis Maximus in this case)?
Me thinks (I could be wrong) it must be some one who works for the EPA with a left on center bent. The world has gone mad. Now the EPA needs some Environmental Protection under its own roof. And they have the answers?
All other charges are true. Guilty as charged. I be the one. Me be a cyper-bully! Finally got a title to put before me name. Warms the cockles of me heart, as does taking a nice smooth movement when reading Mr. Frisch's words of wisdom. Glad I got that off my bowels.

Hobby Lobby will still pay for Viagra. Let's keep those women in their place, barefoot and pregnant. BTW, where's my slippers and beer and what's for dinner, bitch. Gee, I wonder why all the women justices voted against this? I wonder what would have been the result had their been one more woman on the court?

If the one woman was a Sandra Day O'Connor, it would be probably be the same, JoKe.

But Joe!! MY employer won't buy my gun!! He's spitting in the face of my 2ND Amendment rights! I'm a law abiding citizen, and have EVERY right to gun, but he's not supplying me one!
Then there are those that work the night shift at the corner stop and rob. Those employers forbid the employee from having a gun on the job.
Their 2ND Amend. rights are also being violated.

Hobby Lobby will still pay for Viagra.....
Yeah but they probably would have been within their rights to not. Somehow I don't believe that the howls of outrage would have been nearly so loud had this been the case!

Loud cheers for the misogynist right wing. It's OK for me to get my pharmaceutical woody for free but if you women want to protect yourselves from woody's onslaught you have to pay for that. Would Jesus even want a pharmaceutical woody?
Or how about this: You all will have to search your consciences for this one: It this really about religion or is it just another lame excuse to increase profit (by buying cheaper insurance for employees) at the expense of their employees? It will be interesting to see if Hobby Lobby (which I assume relies heavily on women customers) see a decrease in business over this.

“The proximate cause of all our woes is/
Civilizational apoptosis”—My Ling Gum, late Tang (or early Gatorade) Dynasty
In my role as chief social oncologist of the Republic (remember it?) I offer the following diagnostic snippets. Although the patient is dying, the disease remains of interest. Let us begin with the Secretary of State. A headline:
Kerry: 'I'm Working Hard to ... Have Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Ambassadors'
From a curmudgeonly point of view, this is wonderful. America is going to be represented abroad by a freak show. The country is going to hell, sissified neocon Tamerlanes in panties bankrupt us with brainless wars they don´t understand, the schools make us an international joke, but the Secretary of State rushes to fill the consulates with sexual abnormalities.
Washington begins to make a Weimar bordello look like Mormon Sunday school. I picture myself showing up at some embassy for an interview and being told, “The ambassador will be with you in a moment. Just now, he’s fucking a sheep.”
Male or female? The sheep, I mean. With the ambassador, it would probably be hard to tell.
I am losing track of the various weirdities whose tiny concerns and wounded vanities are now the chief concern of policy domestic and foreign. It used to be only homosexuals. Now we must reverence bisexuals, transsexuals, transgendered (what is the difference?), transvestites, sadomasochistic hobbyists, perhaps bisexual transsexual homosexuals, and so on. I often see initials like LBGT, which I at first understood to be a sandwich (Lettuce, Bacon, Tomato, Garlic….) Can bestiality be far behind (so to speak)?
What is an actual man like Vladimir Putin going to think of an American ambassadress when he knows that she has a surgically implanted silicone penis and a hairy chest from testosterone injections?
“Oh please, cut off my willy/
I know you think it’s silly/
But Sally wants a schlong/
Says she was born all wrong/
/o get me my bottle of Elmer’s Glu-u-u-ue....”
Excuse me. I am a frustrated Milton.
This is nuts. It is one thing, and a good thing, for a decent society to leave the sexually disturbed in peace, for the police not to harass homosexuals or raid known but discrete “gay” bars. (Though, if we can have homosexual bars in which the normal are not welcome, why can we not have normal bars in which homosexuals are not welcome? Can we not choose with whom we want to drink?) (No.) If discrete (that word again) sex shops deep in the city wants to sell motorized dildos, hig-fashion whips, and male chastity belts, well…the buyers do no harm to others. It is another thing to turn the whole damn country into Caligula’s bedroom.
Apparently the greatest transgression in America today is “homophobia.” The word is etymologically absurd as well as linguistically inaccurate, but these are concerns for the literate, who are rapidly going out of existence. “Homophobia” ought to mean “fear of homos,” but nobody is afraid of them, just tired of endlessly hearing about them. Go in peace, but go. Or just shut up.
Next we have the firing of the commander of the Navy’s Blue Angels precision-flying team. Why? Well, someone complained. These days, someone is always complaining. Anyway, says the Washington Post: “The complaint described an atmosphere rife with sexually explicit speech, the open display of pornography and jokes about sexual orientation.”
I nearly spewed coffee on my keyboard on reading this. Did some iddle-widdle person, or personette, get his, or her, or its, or to-be-determined, or some of each, knickers in a knot because...soldiers talk dirty? Did someone, some heartless, you know, male, make a joke about not bending over in the shower while Jim Bob was around? Oh, the heartlessness of these...Ohhhh! It makesth me want to hiss! And they look at dirty pictures of girls!
Clearly the only course is to recruit transgendered, bifurcate, cross-dressing and surgically modified fliers in a nonviolent military. We need compassionate fighter pilots, none of this horrible masculinist aggressiveness.
The military is rotten with this stuff. I maybe first noticed it perhaps twenty years ago when some girl Marine complained that she couldn’t keep up on morning runs, and it made her feel uncomfortable, or devalued, or unesteemed, or something. (It would have made me feel slow, but that’s much too straightforward.) I think she was a lieutenant, but she backed the commanding general down. The runs were abolished. The purpose of the military is to make women, incompetent minorities, and the sexually baroque feel good.
The generals know that putting girls in the military is a terrible idea, but they all belong to the Order of the Empty Jockstrap, and may well have a cocktail dress or two in a hidden corner of their closets. I have more respect for Third-World generals gorgeous as cockatoos in flashy uniforms with feathers. They at least have the courage of their corruption and do not pretend to be serious soldiers.
Next we have the browning of America, which has become a sort of geographic toaster-oven. The country is merging with Mexico, as hard as it can. It is an astonishing thing to do for no particular reason. Nobody can quite explain why. At the highest level, it makes sense: We have a black president and attorney general who do not like white people, whom they believe to have mistreated blacks. What sweeter revenge than to turn their country a nice mahogany color? And businessmen want cheap labor. But to drastically changes the nature and prospects of what was the world’s leading nation so that McDonald’s can have its burgers flipped at lesser cost—here is a marvel new under the sun. Countries deserve what they tolerate, and this one will tolerate anything. Except freedom of association or expression, or civilized levels of schooling.
Finally, we have criminalization of children. If a little boy points his finger and sys “Bang!” he is handcuffed by the police and dragged from school, to be subjected to psychiatry. This in the planet’s most militarily aggressive country, in which said little boy is constantly exposed to war movies and murderous video games. Dodge ball is violence, but join the Marines and be a man among men. Oh god, I said it. No. I mean be a transgendered transvestite caring person among persons.
What has gone wrong with the continental asylum? Dunno, but it’s a hell of a show. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Now let me get this straight. Hobby Lobby says the First Amendment covers their concerns and the left and the femi-nazis are crying "war on women". And the "right to privacy" as Roe V Wade protects is not in the Constitution yet trumps? Hmmm. I guess this is a very confusing thing.
Also, if the "right to privacy" keeps anyone else out of the woman's womb, why then do the taxpayers have to pay for placing a pharmaceutical into the women's body? I though they had the absolute right to tell everyone else to stay the hell out! So JoeK, I am actually in agreement that the government should not tell anyone or any business they have to cover anything regarding my private body. Good call.
Oh, but I am not a misogynist JoeK. I love women, especially those at TSA stations. LOL!

"The Green family has no moral objection to the use of 16 of 20 preventive contraceptives required in the mandate, and Hobby Lobby will continue its longstanding practice of covering these preventive contraceptives for its employees. However, the Green family cannot provide or pay for four potentially life-threatening drugs and devices. These drugs include Plan B and Ella, the so-called morning-after pill and the week-after pill. Covering these drugs and devices would violate their deeply held religious belief that life begins at the moment of conception, when an egg is fertilized."

JoKe….why is the lefty position on almost everything nearly identical to that of the spoiled child? If it sucks so bad to work for Hobby Lobby they can always work at Wal-Mart…..the nations other monster….they can get their abortifacients there!
