Wow! I go to the doctor and return to this back and forth!

Yeah I woke up cranky and right out of the box jeffy started in with.....I wonder if our local hard-right contingent, who likes to wrap themselves in the First Amendment to defend crackpot ideas, would try to defend this.

Ahhh...what are you going to do......?

Todd Juvinall

Oh, and I see the "circle of stupid" Truckeeite Frisch is at it again. Too funny! Did anyone see his video? Portly! LOL!

Jeff Pelline

Todd, You are its leader!

Jeff Pelline

Fish, What kind of "doctor"? ROFLOL.

Todd Juvinall

I am? Gosh, I had know idea. Tell me though, what is your IQ Pelline? I bet mine is much highrer than yours so I expect you will dodge the request. Too funny!

Jeff Pelline

Todd,
As you probably know, an IQ doesn't tell anyone about your emotional readiness.

fish

Ah...my mistake....Todd going to the doctor is sufficient to send you into gales of insane jiffy laughter. Gotcha!

fish

As you probably know, an IQ doesn't tell anyone about your emotional readiness.

I know I'm going to regret asking this...especially because it's you.....emotional readiness for what?

fish

Speaking of doctors....Todd, tell your brother he's certifiable.....man I hate tile work!

Jeff Pelline

I was thinking of things like matrimony, paying your taxes on time, etc.

fish

Hey jeffy....you never said how you were able to afford Nevada City.......dads trust fund......hit man......niche pornography.....?

I would have to agree with the sheriff. Just received the March CAPBRO newsletter devoted to agenda 21. If you didn't know better you'd think it was written by Rennet Sebum and her left wing conspiracy lunatics. Chem trails, smart meters, vaccines. . . "they" are out to get us. I guess fringe is fringe regardless of which leg of the graph you cling.

Jeff Pelline

"Joe Smith," No, your side takes the cake for fringe. There is no competition. Wanna be in my book?

Todd Juvinall

So what is your true IQ Pelline? Come n now, 86? Emotionally you seem to be about 12. Is that because of some trauma from your early years? It seems you just are unable to answer a question.

Gregory

"Gregory, You are nutcase in your own league." - the Former Union Editor

Absolutely, I've never needed the fawning of others for my own self esteem, unlike Eric Cartman and others similarly afflicted...

Todd Juvinall

Fish, you had some tile work eh? He did all mine of course. Anyway it appears Pelline is not going to answer a simple question so yes, his emotional state is truly suspect. LOL!

Gregory

"A narcissistic person thrives on people fawning over them and proving themselves better than other people. This means that those around them will find themselves at the receiving end of many rude, discouraging and cutting remarks. As difficult as it is to disregard these hurtful comments, you must remember that the comments represent how the narcissist actually views themselves."

Jeff Pelline

Gregory,
Why don't you sign your name "Gregory Goodknight"? On the contrary, it seems like you are trying to hide.

Jeff Pelline

Hmm. Todd Juvinall signs his real name. "Gregory" signs half his name, and you don't sign your name. Sounds like the problem is on your end. Hint: http://sierrafoothillsreport.com/2014/02/16/new-study-internet-trolls-are-often-machiavellian-sadists/

Oh jeffy.......you say Machiavellian sadists like it's a bad thing.

Todd Juvinall

So what is your IQ Pelline? What the problem, is it too small? Are you embarrassed? Come on tell us all how large it is.

Todd Juvinall

Fish, that is a lot of tile work. Hope you find the laundry!

Hey I was wondering why Pelline is over here all day. Checked his site and it apprras a ghost town. He has resorted to com plaining about CABPRO! And a nutball initiative! I think the attorny pushing it is a liberal though. Too funny. Pelline is lonely! ROTFLMAO!!!

Jeff Pelline

Todd,
You never answered my question about your emotional intelligence. Come on tell us. Tell us about how it has helped your in life, from matrimony to paying your taxes on time. Too funny.

Todd Juvinall

Just got back from my walk and there he is. Pelline, what keeps you from telling us about your IQ? Are you afraid? I man come on, you are a man, right? Show show us some nachos and tell us. Unless you can't because it might harm your emotional state. Like printing your magazine out of the county. Or shopping online and your COSTCO runs? Come one Pelline, you can do it!

Jeff Pelline

Todd,
COTSCO runs? LOL. You are grasping at straws because you cannot tell us your emotional IQ. Please tell us how it has helped in your life, from matrimony to paying your taxes on time. What are you afraid of?

Todd Juvinall

Your emotional IQ and intellectual IQ are obviously low or you would be telling us. How is that printing out of the county working out? Come on, tell us the truth, it will set you free.

Jeff Pelline

Todd,
You continue to grasp at straws because you cannot tell us your emotional IQ. Please tell us how it has helped in your life, from matrimony to paying your taxes on time.

fish

Todd,

Tell him your emotional IQ (whatever that is) after he gives a list of those "San Francisco values" of which he speaks so highly but can't define.

Todd Juvinall

Pelline, tell us your low score numbers on your IQ's. Why are you afraid?

Fish, as you can see, he is unable to interact with others so I am guessing he has a zero personality. That would equate to SF values I suppose. Goodness Pelline is a sad sack.

Jeff Pelline

Todd,
You continue to grasp at straws because you cannot tell us your emotional IQ. Please tell us how it has helped in your life, from matrimony to paying your taxes on time.

fish

Hey......somebody hit jeffy in the back.......his needle is stuck!

Todd Juvinall

Fsh, that is funny! I can only guess that when a person is terribly obese they must have a mental problem or an emotional problem. Looks like that is the case. He keeps repeating himself like he is stuck. What a hoot!

Todd Juvinall

Hey fish, I just remembered. Pelline and Frisch etal call those on the right "stuck on stupid" all the time. Now we see what that really means. Pelline is truly "stuck on stupid" LOL!

Bill Tozer

Shut up Fatty.

Thank you Fish for doing the Lord's work. Having Fatso here puts me in hogs' heaven. Too delicious. Anyone who says that Lardass is not fit to eat with the pigs is flat wrong. Judging by his schooling in rhetoric and Tubby's attempts to put forth such lofty knowledge, one must conclude he is indeed qualified to eat with the pigs. Slop, slop, Pillysbury Dough Boy. See, I defended ya, cum breath.

Jeff Pelline

I'm glad George changed the look of this blog — it is surreal, just like the commentary.

Todd Juvinall

Come on Pelline, just tell us what your IQ number is. Simple.

In case someone didn’t explore Bruce’s link, this is an excerpt from it. It helps me to find compassion.

January 2012 article in the Journal Live Science also cites the Hodsdon-Busseri study,
“There’s no gentle way to put it: People who give in to racism and prejudice may simply be dumb…Low-intelligence adults tend to gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies. Those ideologies, in turn, stress hierarchy and resistance to change, attitudes that can contribute to prejudice.”

Indeed. Of course it begs the question why so many of the progressive lions choose to live in your Sierra Foothills "Whitetopia"! Plenty of nice places near Oakland Alameda coliseum for a couple of lefty/SJW stalwarts like Bruce and Greg to live......close to public transportation too!

Todd Juvinall

Maybe Bruce Levy can explain the "caste" system in India. Is that racism because some Indians are darker than others? Or simply economics? Maybe he could explain that to all us dolts here in the USA? I bet not.

Gregory

I'd like to thank Jeffie for posting as one of his hated RR pages, the one that has my analysis how how badly many Nevada County schools suck. The bad news continued into the last STAR/API data of 2013, but since CCSS were adopted we've been flying blind, and the State school board has recently voted not to generate a new Academic Performance Index until 2016, to give the Common Core machinations more time to appear to be working.

They won't, at least in math. There's fresh incontrovertable evidence that links California's Whole Math meltdown of the '90's to our brand spanking new Common Core math. It is the same crap, different decade. Stay tuned.

I find it interesting that Jeff is still raw about how unfair that 2011 piece was, and that his wife also disagrees with it, but that they'd still rather have their child in a private school than in one of those great public schools in the Grass Valley/Nevada City areas.

For other readers, no, I'm not a conservative, have never been registered GOP, proudly never voted for Reagan (though I did respect many of the qualities he brought to office) nor have I ever supported a "tea party" group, nor have I ever attended a "tea party" rally. I don't mind associating with Tea Party Conservatives for the purposes of discussion because they aren't as relentlessly tribal as the Progressives who do a version of clasping hands against ears while saying "na na na na I can't hear you" when someone disagrees.

Hey jeffy.....I know you're lurking.....did you have any plans to answer the question.....why did the story you linked to on Yubanet.com list no author? Was it you, "axe grinding" your personal business anonymously?

What are they (you) afraid of?

Gregory

"All I asked Pelline for was his IQ."

Todd, please stop it. While I do believe there is a thing called IQ that does, in effect, represent an overall intelligence of an individual, it's as gauche to pester someone for what they think their IQ is as it is to pester them for their net worth or for when they stopped beating their wife.

UC Berkeley's Rhetoric degree is a solid degree in how to argue, is not easy, and is favored by many with a pre-law focus. Jeff's problem is not intelligence, it's knowledge. He has the toolkit to argue but not to understand.

Walt

Well now.. Seems "O" can't be TOOOO concerned with the rapid rise in sea levels.

Yup, the good ol' Magnum P.I. house. Tom Selleck should have had right of first refusal.

Todd Juvinall

Gregory, are you trying to take all my fun away? Jeeze, the only reason I persisted in asking the fella his IQ is he was relentlessly pestering me for mine. Anyway, he came here to the sandbox to get in a fight and we all agreed to do it. That is what this was created for anyway by the master.

Pelline is an easy target since he has a very high opinion of himself and as usual he tries to always get the last word. You are correct about the snootiness of Pelline since he does not apparently place his progeny into public schools yet tells everyone else to do so. His degree in rhetoric has enabled him to argue with just about every human and he obliges. Please don't take my fun! LOL!

fish

His degree in rhetoric has enabled him to argue with just about every human and he obliges.

He should ask for his money back.

Gregory

"Pelline is an easy target since he has a very high opinion of himself"

I suspect he doesn't.

Gregory

Here's a scoop... there may be two local grads at Harvard studying towards their PhD's in Chemistry next year. While they both graduated from our very weak local high school district they did both attend excellent elementary schools, not the ones identified as below average by STAR/API rankings. One is at Harvard already, the other has been given an offer (it's as much a job as it is a school you are attending), was there visiting (grad schools in the sciences generally pay for the travel) and can be expected to have been admitted to other good grad programs that they will also be checking out... It was a bit of unrelated serendipity that led them to the discovery of their common roots.

There are local schools that don't suck, but it takes some research to discover which ones they are.

Barry Pruett

Jeff, I can't remember how many times The Union disclosed where my kid went to school WITHOUT MY PERMISSION (not that anyone besides you minds that anyone knows where their kid attends school) you were just looking for something to get huffy about to evade the issue that was being discussed.

There's also no reason to think it was Shannon Pelline who wrote those words, since (IIRC) you had just been tossed off the island for being, well, yourself and claiming to be an aggrieved Mom would be a convenient fiction. Not a problem for a documented liar like yourself.

It's OK, Jeff... getting your kids out of some lousy elementary school is a good enough reason to go private. Personally, I'd have rather bought a BMW than pour money into Mount St. Mary's for seven years, but at least my kid got a good start to high school. Does anyone know if MSM is using Common Core texts or do they remain a haven from Whole Math?

Jeff Pelline

And we have the word of Jeff Pelline standing behind that claim. Let me guess... the same computer, the same IP address, just the Honor System at work? Did she also get a BA in Rhetoric from Cal? Her writing style in those posts seem remarkably similar to yours.

BTW, an obvious error... "Jeff and I have gone to public schools our whole lives"... Was Northwestern public in those days? Ever chow down at Skokie's lamented Barnum and Bagels on Dumpster Drive? Great kosher food, near the NW campus.

Jeff Pelline

Gregory,
Nope. She wrote it. In fact, she's standing here reading your words and just shaking her head. BTW, "Barnum and Bagels" is about as yesterday's lettuce as "Frisco." Your are one out of touch dude.

Of course she is, Jeff. We all believe you.

Jeff Pelline

Gregory, good night.

Gregory

"Frisco, that once-verboten term for the city by the bay, is making a comeback among the young and hip. Herb Caen is spinning at warp speed."

... perhaps some green energy can be harnessed by tapping into Caen's rotation?

From The Chronicle's Pop Culture editor, no less:
"But the great columnist might have actually signaled the beginning of the Frisco thaw in 1995, when he noted the arrest of two loiterers in Berkeley who told police they were "from Frisco," thus betraying their status as interlopers.

"Balderdash," Caen wrote. "The toughest guys on the old S.F. waterfront, neither rubes nor tourists, called it Frisco, and no effete journalist would have tried to correct them.""

Turns out I was chatting with some younger Bay area friends yesterday and 'Frisco came up. Their take was that it was mostly the newcomers (like some effete ex Journalists from SoCal and Chicago refugees that now live in Nevada County that we know, who spent some time trying to fit in Baghdad By the Bay) who are all over anyone who dares use the F word. In other words, newcomers posing as long time Friscoids.

For some very old news, my favorite Frisco reference is in the classic "M" by Fritz Lange, with Peter Lorre as the kindermorderer, one of the few movies to rate a 5 star 100% at Rotten Tomatoes. ... at about 31:40, the German word "Frisco" translates to San Francisco.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM0w1dTNAH0

Perhaps the best recent article on Frisco is this one from 2014 in a rag with impeccable lefty credentials, which makes the comment, "Just as R. Crumb's intentionally edgy caricatures of black people solely drew criticism from white liberals, the only people driven to complain about "Frisco" appear to be aging Caucasians."

"where did I say anything about a roundabout?"

Don't you read your own newsletters? In the bio on your blog you take proud ownership of CABPRO; therefore, you must then take proud ownership of the lunatic Agenda 21 claims your organization makes. As a member of Rotary and past Boy Scouts of America leader, I have been somewhat chagrined to learn that according to you Agenda 21 conspiracy clowns, my NGOs are a subversive threat to the USA. Your right of right kind both amuse and appall me (almost as much as the fringe left).

Todd Juvinall

Jpe Smith, review the newsletter of CABPRO and tell me where my name comes up. I have not been there for three years and have nothing to do with the running of it. So, you know what they say about assuming. Anyway, you have shown me and the readers the lack of research you do.

Since you are a self proclaimed "boy scout" you should no better than to make things up. Shame on you.
