Oh NO! This poll is not going to make jon a happy camper.
Gallup: No interest in Clinton even among Democratic women.
Women are increasingly turning their noses up at the 2016 election, including Democratic women despite the likelihood that their party’s nominee will be one of them, according to a new Gallup survey of the gender gap in those closely following the election.
Women have never paid as much attention to the current race as men, but Gallup found that the attention gap has expanded in recent months.
Once just two points apart, in February, the gap is now 13 points and is seen in both Democratic and Republican ranks as men continue to be engaged in the election dominated by news coverage of Republican Donald Trump.
Well, the ZOMG they’re coming for our lady parts! hysteria has worn off, but expect new efforts along those lines. If it’s mostly men who vote in November, Hillary’s doomed. --Glenn Reynolds

"[Charles] Koch, one of the most influential and controversial forces in Republican politics, said in an exclusive interview with ABC News to air Sunday on "This Week" that he believed Bill Clinton was a better president "in some ways" than George W. Bush.
"In other ways, I mean [Clinton] wasn't an exemplar. But as far as the growth of government, the increase in spending," Koch said. "It was 2.5 times [more] under Bush than it was under Clinton.""
Charles, Charles. Clinton had Newt Gingrich as his dominant speaker, while Bush II had Hastert and Pelosi, not to mention 9/11 taking down the world trade center and, for a time, a bipartisan popular war to clean out Al Qaeda's center in Afghanistan and later, other Middle Eastern terrorist sponsors... including Iraq... whose regime change calls were voted in by the Senate with Clinton's blessings.
Not to turn this into a Bush II love fest, but let's not tip our hat to Bill Clinton when it was Gingrich that dragged him kicking and screaming into his only real Presidential successes.

Re Gregory 1254pm - From this I deduce that Mr Goodknight does not consider among Clinton's "real Presidential successes" his lurch toward HillaryCare, and that he was able to successfully avoid coitus with Monica with a simple workaround.

It does not look like those San Francisco Values that our local lefty blogger is promoting are working out too well for the citizens of San Francisco.
San Francisco Torn as Some See ‘Street Behavior’ Worsen:
Recent data from the F.B.I. show that San Francisco has the highest per-capita property crime rate of the nation’s top 50 cities. About half the cases here are thefts from vehicles, smash-and-grabs that scatter glittering broken glass onto the sidewalks.
The city, known for a political tradition of empathy for the downtrodden, is now divided over whether to respond with more muscular law enforcement or stick to its forgiving attitudes.
The Chamber of Commerce and the tourist board are calling for harsher measures to improve what is euphemistically called the “condition of the streets,” a term that encompasses the intractable homeless problem, public intravenous drug use, the large population of mentally ill people on the streets and aggressive panhandling. The chamber recently released the results of an opinion poll that showed that homelessness and “street behavior” were the primary concerns of residents here.
Why Are Democrat-Run Cities Such Cesspits Of Rampant Lawlessness And Violence? We are lucky to have some Republicans in charge in Nevada County, let's keep San Francisco Values where they belong in the City!

As a counter argument to my 03:30PM post the FUE writes:
Red States Have Higher Crime Rates Than Blue States, By Dr. Eric Ostermeier September 16, 2009
Note the data is seven plus years old, if that is the best the FUE can do, we are winning the cultural arguments of values. Democrat-Run Cities are Cesspits Of Rampant Lawlessness And Violence. I wonder of the FUE can come up with a list of Republican cities that are cesspits of lawlessness and violence that exceed the standards set by the Democrats. I predict crickets will be the response.

Oh NO! This is not going to make jon and his fellow travelers happy, but is encouraging news for Republican's across the board.
Election data compiled by Breitbart News on the Democratic Party’s primaries and caucuses in 2016 and 2008 show that turnout in is down significantly, nearly 20 percent, from the last contested election.
The data also show that the about 4.5 million fewer people have voted in the Democratic presidential contest this year versus 2008.
Ugly details here: http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/04/26/exclusive-data-analysis-democrat-turnout-collapses-4-5-million-nearly-20-percent-2016-versus-2008/.

Mr. Kesti @ 6:13am. KNCO just said a child sustained minor injuries when a TV fell on the child due to the explosion. A 2,500 sq foot house totally destroyed. That must have been a big quick fire. I am relieved no one was hurt.
On a very windy day with good gusts, it is weird that there was an explosion of this magnitude. You would think that a gas/propane leak would be more likely on a still calm day in an enclosed space. Who knows at this point? Maybe the residents had to close the windows and doors because of the wind....

Ben Weingarten, commentator and Founder & CEO of ChangeUp Media sits down with Mark Steyn, international bestselling author, political pundit, cultural critic and hardened climate change dissenter Mark Steyn for an in-depth interview. During their discussion, Weingarten and Steyn discuss the chilling of free speech by the climate alarmists and their enablers in the political and legal system, the stakes of the defamation suit filed against Steyn by climate scientist Dr. Michael E. Mann over a critical blog post, why it is the scientific community that resembles a racket rather than demonized “Big Oil,” the misogyny of the “climate cabal” and its attack on Dr. Judith Curry, the parallels between climate supremacists and Islamic supremacists, why the West should celebrate increasing levels of carbon dioxide and much more.

Gregory: Jon had not come up for air since Mr. Walt told him he has a grunt sandwich for a brain chip. That's all it took. Too easy. Walt even forgot to add that the line about the best part of Jon ran down.......
Posted by: Bill Tozer | 26 April 2016 at 04:33 PM
Yup, that "jon" is a real piece of work. Sorry gents,, I had enough of his TROLL garbage, and "snapped". Blame it on the hard apple cider injected pork loin I cooked up that day.
Maybe all the alcohol didn't cook out of it. Good thing I wrote that down! Goood stuff.
Now Trump is running the table tonight. Just maybe the voters will throw a dead skunk into the contested convention planing room. But I'm sure some dirty tricks are still yet to be played.
As for Hillary,,, she is every man's ex-wife. (even if you have never been married) Who in hell wants that sitting in a position of power? Who can even handle sitting through one of her screeching speeches?

The honey oil lab explosion in Alta Sierra is just the beginning of more to come. House fires will increase dramatically as more folks are forced inside due to overloaded electrical panels. Entire grow houses will spring up again. It certainly made more sense to move the grows onto larger AG parcels than allow them in every residence in Nevada County.
Way to go Don! Since you like to take credit for getting the outdoor ban enacted, you must be so proud. I'm sure your neighbors will line up to thank you too. You cured a problem that didn't exist in Alta Sierra.

Todd. Now worries about being pail as a ghost over there. That's just the way things are.
Even the older Swedish women are drop dead gorgeous.

Butane Hash Oil production in a residential area is a Felony as it should be. This is a despicably shellfish practice to do in a neighborhood with kids in the house. There is NO evidence in any of the areas that have had restricted outdoor grows of those problems you are claiming. Look at Roseville, it has restricted outdoor for a number of years and has not seen what you describe. Neither has Sac and so on and so on. No one is buying that line of bovine scatology.
Hell, SAMs club in Roseville has an all in the box indoor grow house, UL approved plug in the wall with LED lights, fans etc. Your own industry has already answered the call from the other half of the state that has restricted outdoor grows. They even have units for apartments now that they say pay for themselves in a year.
You are right about one thing and that is all the folks thanking the team that worked on this over and over and over again.
Posted by: Don Bessee | 26 April 2016 at 06:33 PM
Thanks Walt 6:11PM. I like those tall viking women. LOL!
PatriciaS, why so ridiculous? You can't make your argument on the facts? So when a house blows up from butane cooking honey oil it is DonB's fault? Jeeze, your logic is missing as much as some potheads I have heard. Talk about baiting with a dumb argiment. Try Peeps.

Don knows I abhor BTO under any circumstances. It is not medicine and the process to make it is extremely dangerous. I was talking about the dangers of house fires that are started from indoor grows and how that endangers a neighborhood. We worked for years to get rid of these grows because they are dangerous and produce substandard medicine.

Hay Greg, 4:20, you're really not very bright, are ya?
Posted by: Jon | 26 April 2016 at 07:30 PM
That's the best you got pattie? A 6 year old article that is really about the problems for fire fighters dealing with bootleg grows? How about some stats from the restricted Counties in CA that support your contentions, you aren't providing that because it does not exist.
Small grow with modern low energy lighting presents no threat to the community. Its the fill the rented house with a ton of lights in what is an illegal commercial grow that is a problem, not a small personal grow for a qualified patient.

The TROLL is back.. Right on time... Stalker.
Posted by: Walt | 26 April 2016 at 07:44 PM
Todd, you will have to forgive Pattie, she is still pissed off that the Cal Growers exec director and not her got invited to the League of Women Voters debate forum on Measure W. May 19th 630pm at the Rood Center BOS chambers.

Bessee
What ideas do you have that would help law enforcement curtail illegal honey oil operations such as you attribute as the cause of the explosion and fire?
Posted by: Paul Emery | 26 April 2016 at 08:24 PM
My, that Dump Trump plan didn't work. Back to the drawing board. Not even close.

Wonder what Main Street media has to say about this? Hmmm, nice ice breaker.

Good thing the Dems are running a weak candidate, weaker than Windsurfer Kerry, Helmet Head Dukais, Burger Belly Gore, or Martin O'Malley. A walk in the park.

"Jon", you were the one hallucinating terrorists in Ohio and both your writing style (such as it is) and your bogeymen are indistinguishable from Pellines.
Posted by: Gregory | 26 April 2016 at 09:22 PM
First PE the world knows what happened at that house now, Sac Bee, KNCO even the Union has its story preview on line. We have been advocating for the end to bulk butane quart canister sales. There is only a legitimate home use for small quantities. Legit industrial users get it delivered in large armored tanks like you see used in commercial welding. Treat large can purchases like pseudoephedrine is, behind the counter and a purchase limit for adults only with a record of purchase is the recommended model. No one has a legitimate use for large can after can after can.

Ohio? All the signatures of a Mexican mob hit to me. You owe them money? They will kill your Mom and let you live with that on your conscious. Point blank executions, coordinated. Mexican hit I bet.
Now, music to my ears. Tonight's favorite quote.
"Meanwhile, Jamie Raskin defeated businessman David Trone and Kathleen Matthews, a former newswoman and wife of MSNBC host Chris Matthews, in the House Democratic primary to succeed Van Hollen."

Another poison for the masses. Honey oil! The ingenious humans can turn anything into a mind altering substance. I wish people had the guts to say know and live their lives unfettered by this crap. We are so unique in the universe yet people give it up to see unicorns in their head. Amazing.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 26 April 2016 at 10:51 PM
Todd people do drugs like pot, hashish and honey/hash oil because they enjoy it. Where in the Constitution is there an enumerated power to criminalize it?
I recall Ben Franklin suggested beer was proof there was a god who loved Us and Wanted Us to be Happy. Why shouldn't THC compounds be in the same category?
Playing devil's advocate, don't get your panties in a.knot.

Gregory the issue at hand is blowing up a building and burning down the neighborhoods.
Posted by: Don Bessee | 26 April 2016 at 11:38 PM
Don Bessee 26Apr16 11:38 PM
Who made you the authority on what the issue at hind might be? I happen to think that Gregory has a valid and relevant point.
The fact is that many people enjoy altering their consciousness. This has been true for just about forever and is not likely to change. The War on the American People (AKA, the War on [some] Drugs) has been going on for about 80 years now and it has clearly made matters worse. It's about time to wake up and see that its time for controlled and regulated legalization, much as is the case with alcohol and tobacco.
You might already have heard that America used to be a free country.

Tweakers are still Tweakers no matter your PC projection stuff K. What say you about the oh so entitled guy who blew up the house for some hash oil high? You might want to review the drug use rates post Viet Nam to now K. ;-)
Posted by: Don Bessee | 27 April 2016 at 12:17 AM
There is nothing PC about my position.
I say the blown up houses are one of the many results of prohibition.
Would those post-Vietnam drug use rates include alcohol and tobacco?
Posted by: Michael R. Kesti | 27 April 2016 at 12:27 AM
I ask again, who made you the authority?
Posted by: Michael R. Kesti | 27 April 2016 at 12:28 AM
I can see the Yes on W mailers now...The charred remains of the honey oil lab...The scattered butane containers...Maybe a frightened child standing in the middle of it with a single tear falling from her eye. Yeah, I'm sure you'll play it for all it's worth. Problem is, you'll just drive the problem into more basements. In the end, you're just pissing in the wind.
Posted by: rl crabb | 27 April 2016 at 06:41 AM
The police blotter has had plenty of entries of discarded butane bottle piles, as well as many entries around the 800-1000 block of Sutton Way concerning illegal campers, found needles, and shoplifters. Nothing new. Honey oil may be new, but just another chapter of criminal activity.
Growing the marihuana plant inside a home is illegal, but does not stop people from cultivating in bedrooms, basements, and renting "grow houses". Measure W allows people to grow the marihuana plant in a permitted detached structure. Now, the cynic in me would proclaim (channeling PE) that is great for the local economy. Imagine all the workers building detracted structures with permits and inspected for electrical and structure safety by our building departments. Jobs, jobs, jobs. Contractors busy building with their crews, tradesmen busy wiring, digging solid fountains and hanging doors, lumber companies selling materials, concrete trucks busy, inspectors busy, property taxes rise due to improvements of added structures to the property.....a lot of jobs and income generated for the locals and county coffers. Well, that is how it looks on paper.
But, we will still have grow houses, taped up extension cords running on the ground to the falling down chicken coops, illegal campers and illegal campfires around Utah's place complete with drug activity and downright mean unfriendly panhandlers and shoplifters in that immediate area.
Don't matter what law is passed. Crank, crack, meth labs, honey oil labs are already illegal. Growing in a residence is currently illegal. Rape and assault are already illegal.
Mr. Crabb is right. It's just pissing in the wind as the law abiding citizens are sucking wind. There will still be homeless starting fires, people growing pot for profit on the black market, and Nevada City residents calling the police that someone stole their soul or they received a mental message from a long deceased friend trying to warn them about spirits hijacking their thoughts. Pissing in the wind, pissing against the wind.
Meanwhile, its another beatiful day in the neighborhood. The hummingbirds are really out in force in the flower garden this year and a bird had made a nest in a coconut I carved out and hung up near the front door. Ah, mother birdie has been busy packing it full of nest making materials as father stands guard from a nearby branch. Life goes on.

I am pretty much a libertarian on most things but I have seen to many weak kneed people get addicted to a substance and wreck their lives and those around them. Funny how the reason California passed the "helmet" law for motorcycles in the 90's is they said the brain injured ended up as a expense to the state when they could not pay. Same for smoking cigarettes. So they passed those laws, all those good "liberals" running the State. Those compassionate liberals. Now we get to have drug court, hundreds of taxpayer programs for these addicted people and these compassionate liberals are aghast! No No, they say, it is a personal choice, keep the government out of it. OK, so when you weak kneed addicts need help, don't come ask the taxpayers for it. Ask the growers of the poison.

Honey oil processes are probably most commonly used to extract the active ingredients in MJ from 'waste' products of the plants such as leaves and trimmings. To me, the fact that extraction labs are in this area (beside the proximity to MJ grows) is partly due to the fact that sources of income for many folks and young families in the region are few and far between.
People see that there is an opportunity to make some money to support their families (even though dangerous and illegal), so they take the chance, even though they don't really have the eduction or background, or money to do the extraction in a safe way, or in a more appropriate setting.
Reminds me of the 'bathtub gin' days of the other prohibition. I guess there are still alcohol 'stills' in the backwoods here and there.
As with alcohol, home brew MJ stills will probably mostly disappear when MJ is legal.
All the more reason to legaize and regulate it.
