[This is the transcript of my regular KVMR commentary broadcast on 4 May 2016. See also notice of another upcoming KVMR community affairs broadcast.]
Last night in Indiana Trump got more than 53% of the Republican vote, again handily beating Cruz and Kasich both of whom have ended their campaigns. But on the Democrat side Queen Hillary got broadsided by Comrade Bernie by what in elections is called a landslide – 53% to 47%. Going forward to the Democrat machine controlled convention, socialist Sanders’ victory will continue as the least prickly burr under Clinton’s blanket. With Trump’s win it is almost certain that The Donald will be running against Hillary this November. I’ll cover the ‘almost certain’ part later.
The nomination of Trump in Cleveland will be historic in that the Republicans will then place their first rogue candidate on the ballot. A nominee seen as a flamboyant businessman with a very large ego whose campaign was from the beginning considered a comedic fluke. Yet less than a year later Trump has ended the presidential ambitions of 17 capable competitors, of whom all but two are experienced elected politicians. And he did it by breaking every rule about how one should run a national campaign. Now if the past is any indication, he will continue his run in a manner not yet seen in American politics. We all can expect a riveting road to November.
Today the Sanders/Trump supporters demonstrate that a good fraction of Americans believe their federal government is broken and cannot be repaired with the usual changing of the guard. Each candidate prescribes a very different regimen to make things right, and in that their strident populist messages confirm that America is severely, if not terminally, divided into two irreconcilable socio-political cohorts.
But to win, Trump will have to overcome an entrenched demographic that has given the Democrats an electoral college handicap for almost two generations. Since Democrats outnumber Republicans in our large welfare-laden and mismanaged cities, Trump will have to win over the lion’s share of the so-called independents. And his only tool for doing that is the one he shares with Bernie – the promise that some form of trade isolationism will bring back or create new jobs. But neither candidate has revealed how they would invoke such a magical spell on the land. Therefore, so long as Hillary can stay on the ticket, her pivot toward the center and promise of running the country as Obama 3.0 should then put her in the White House.
All this analysis is remarkable in that, according to the polls, Democrats know that Hillary has always been a scheming liar and incompetent at every real project she has undertaken. But her ineptness, corruptions, and scandals are a matter of record, already accepted, and now forgotten. The remaining Damocles sword that still hangs over her head is the Comey Vote. And you can bet the ranch that Trump will do everything he can to goad the FBI director to cast that vote as early as possible, even as the bureau continues its investigation of Clinton’s mishandling of classified materials.
If Comey delivers already established evidence to the Dept of Justice calling for Hillary’s indictment, she will instantly be dead meat as a candidate; both Trump and Sanders will see to that, regardless of what the DoJ then will do. Even Obama’s anticipated pardon will not help her. And if Comey somehow concludes that there is not enough evidence to indict her, then I foresee a national scandal fed by the inevitable FBI leaks and mass resignations. There will definitely be street protests against what millions will see as irrefutable proof of Washington corrupt and broken.
But what if Comey capitulates, surrenders his reputation as a straight shooter, and just keeps his lips sealed as we head to November? Then I believe it’s anyone’s guess as to how effective will be Trump’s campaign invective that will paint Hillary as part and parcel of a demonstrably dysfunctional federal government which she as president will have no choice but to maintain its stone walls and continue business as usual.
My name is Rebane, and I also expand on this and related themes on Rebane’s Ruminations where the transcript of this commentary is posted with relevant links, and where such issues are debated extensively. However my views are not necessarily shared by KVMR. Thank you for listening.
[Notice] KVMR News Director Paul Emery and I had an extended conversation with Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal about Measure W, the upcoming voter initiative that will define permitted medical marijuana grows in the county. KVMR will broadcast this conversation on 5 May 2016 at 6PM. See also previous RR posts on Measure W.
Re statewide MJ issues. A correspondent sent me the link to the RMJ initiative that will be on the ballot in CA this fall.

Holy Toledo! The other day Trump called CNN "Clinton News Network" on the air and on CNN. Then the Bossman at CNN comes out and says perhaps CNN has been too liberal. Now, here is something I thought I would never see again in my lifetime on CNN: a story on the plight of the white worker today. Glad to see them all falling in line. Everybody loves a winner:
http://money.cnn.com/2016/05/04/news/economy/america-left-behind-white-men/index.html
Now, what does this have to do with Dr. Rebane's short commentary last night on KVMR? Expect government to be the last to fall in line behind Trump. Don't expect our Federal Lunatic Bureaucracy to ever admit they are the problem and go on an apology tour.....Big Brother is the sole reason there is a humongous anti-Big Brother Establishment movement going down, which incidentally, is why the die is cast. By the time Hillary and her Establishment wakes up and smells the coffee, it's all over except the singing from the fat guy. Everybody will fall in line. Heck, the FBI is the only department in gov't that has any credibility with the public. They will have to make a decision based on the irrefutable evidence. They ain't going down with the temporary political winds of the current Administration. They are here to serve the people. And boy are the people pissed.

Hear the news? Trump is now the one who has received the most votes for a repub in the primaries ever. Even Dems have jumped ship to vote for they guy.
Trump is a different cat altogether. He's a mix of both political spectrums. The right mix? we shall see. But he seems a lot better than what the Progs have to offer.

I said it before and say it again. With Trump we will get The Wall and a new improved Obamacare, maybe even closer to Single Payer. Mixed bag is right, but at least he will be fighting like a alley cat for America, not against America. Ideology takes a back seat. Saying you are a true conservative or true liberal don't mean squat this unique cycle. Yep, proclaiming you are more conservative than Trump is why we have 17 fine fellows and one lady on the loser pile! Some are beginning to bloat like Jeb and Lynsey. And being more left than Berning Man or Crooked Hillary don't mean diddley squat either.....in this unique election cycle. It's all about where the rubber meets the road, I.e., where the voters are. And they are behind Trump, in front of Trump, and all around Trump. Except, of course, the 150 FBI agents looking at the TWO criminal investigations of My Gal. They be surrounding Hillary, looking at her from behind, in front, and all around her, past and present. Sucks to be in her cankles.

Judicial Watch Lawsuit Uncovers More Hillary Clinton Emails Withheld from State Department
http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-lawsuit-uncovers-more-hillary-clinton-emails-withheld-from-state-department/
Judicial Watch recently released Clinton State Department emails dating from February 2009 that also call into question her statements about her emails.
The documents were obtained by Judicial Watch in response a court order in a May 5,2015, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department, after it failed to respond to a March 18 FOIA request (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00684)). The lawsuit seeks:
Emails of official State Department business received or sent by former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin from January 1, 2009 through February 1, 2013 using a non-“state.gov” email address.
Many of the documents predate March 18, 2009, go back as far as January, and were not turned over by Clinton to the State Department from her non-government server. The emails cover topics such as: her schedule and travel plans; criticisms of Clinton by Richard Gere; Afghanistan; U.S. financial aid and security concerns for several Pacific Islands; the recommendation for a health care system overhaul; and food security.
Other previously unreleased emails are dated March 18, 2009, despite suggestions by Clinton that she had turned over emails with that date. These emails refer to, among other things, her “friends at Planned Parenthood” and a call to Bill Clinton’s former National Security Adviser, the late Sandy Berger, who was convicted of illegally removing classified documents from the National Archives.
Read the rest it is quite interesting, she may have perjured herself.

RussS 312pm & 448pm - Thanks for the relevant review of law. This is the point I have been making in these pages for the last year plus. There is no leeway given to 'intent', if you f&@ked up, you go to jail, period. You and I both lived under that rule for many years.

Ok, Mea culpa time. I was wrong about MyGal. I did not believe her when she said it, thinking this was yet another Crooked Hillary's shady conspiracy to skirt the law thing for the umpteenth time in her career. I was dead wrong. She has spoke the truth. I truly believe her now. She indeed is too lame and lacks the ability to handle 2 e-mail accounts. The truth prevails!

Russ Steele thanks for the reminder regarding the destruction of many years of history "accidently" destroyed in the National Archives during the Clinton Administration. I remember it reported on the news...and wondering why. I'd always heard that dictators rewrite history to favor themselves.
Posted by: Bonnie McGuire | 06 May 2016 at 03:31 AM
And remember Tricky Dick claiming parts of the recordings were 'accidentally erased' by way of an absurd gyration demonstrated by his dear Ms Woods? Even ardent Rs had to realize at that point something was rotten in Denmark.
It was (and is) obvious to anyone with a brain why Ms Clinton set up an email server in her basement. She couldn't keep people from using email, but she could control a lot of that email and destroy anything inconvenient.
The left even openly brags about controlling the information to the public:

JonD 1103am - EVERY former government type who has managed one of our several national security organs, along with technical people very familiar with the hacking of such servers, corroborates the conclusion that ANYONE and EVERYONE with relatively minimal knowledge of the field was able to hack Hillary's email server(s). Who are those who "totally discredit" the potential/actual damage that dissemination of her emails have caused? (No organization who successfully filched her emails will brag about it at this stage of the game; that silence itself supports the conclusion that her 'stuff' is now in unfriendly hands.)

So....were you ever going to tell us why the name Drumpf provokes such girlish gales of giggles from you? Just curious?
Posted by: fish | 06 May 2016 at 11:18 AM
"Drumpf" is funny to "Jon" for the same reason Paul E is amused by referring to the GOP as Pubbers, or insults like "libtard" hurled by the right. Just a schoolyard mocking that makes it clear they don't think the subject of the derision is owed even a modicum of respect.

I'm fine with thinking that the subject under discussion isn't owed a modicum of respect but Trump is just Drumpf anglicized. What the hell is funny about that?
sigh
Posted by: fish | 06 May 2016 at 11:44 AM
Drumpf ain't too bad of a name given by the lefties. They call me a lot worse, from the shadows of course. Small potatoes compared to what awaits That Woman, Ms. Clinton. Call it worth wading through the insults to get to the good stuff.
BTW, in a comedy of errors, did you notice State filed a brief in secret that if they comply with one of those FOIA requests, it might compromise (jeapodize) Justice's on going law enforcement investigation. Opps. Law enforcement investigation? Gee, I listened to My Gal, the Clinton Campaign, and all those 69 year old former bra burners and they assured us all that this was merely a security review, lol
Since that moment, My Gal has stopped saying "security review". Now she sent Bubba out specifically to deny, deny, deny, dis, and attack everybody involved in this Great Right Wing Conspiracy.
Well, Bubba must feel the day of reckoning is fast approaching. He can hear footsteps approaching....the sound of 150 FBI agents wrapping up not one, but two, "law enforcement" actions. Slow and steady wins the race.
BTW, with Trump still dominating every news cycle 24/7, did ya'll notice My Gal sent Bubba out the same day Huma was interviewed....by the FBI. What a coincidence.

PS: I have called our local pinkos a heck of a lot worse, so there is blood on my hands. Lots of blood, tastes like chicken. But, I now refrain from saying the libhole/libbowel nouns because it causes Dr. Rebane too much flack. It's not fair. They attack him, not me for my writing style. Go figure.
Now, back to the topic at hand. Nothing is written in stone. My Gal can still skate. She has friends in high places. And the wheels of justice turn slowly. However, just as appropro is the saying "Justice delayed is justice denied"
But even more appropro for My Gal is the old tried and true adage, "You are as sick as your secrets."

Joe Koyote says:
May 6, 2016 at 12:39 pm
The local right appears to be having females to write letters to the editor. JoAnn Rebane wrote a piece in praise of Norm Sauer’s recent absurd column. And now we have Elaine Meckler chiming in. This must be the “women on the right aren’t just mail order brides who pose naked in men’s magazines like Trump’s wife” campaign to counter the three H’s (Hall, Harris, Hillary).
Wow Joke....sexist much?
A woman can't write to the newspaper without....what? They only wrote in because their husbands threatened them....? They're clearly suffering from....?
I guess in JoKes world women really can't be expected to have their own opinions....double word score because they differ from yours.
Posted by: fish | 06 May 2016 at 12:52 PM
Fish, that is too rich. Oh, Mr. K knows well that the female gender can and do write letters to our local The Union anytime they please. His point of contention is those grown up fine ladies should not express their views until they have been throughly vetted and completed the Liberal School of Getting Your Mind Right. Where is the editor??
Now, who is calling us knuckledraggers "misgynist" while acting like a woman hater? Oh my, is this exhibit one on the proper way to think?? Well, no use beating a dead horse.
As far as slut shaming Mrs. Trump, Mr. K is just upset that Chris Matthews gets tingles up his leg watching the future First Lady walk while grabbing the airline air sickness bag when thinking of Hillary's cankles.
Bet Joe K is the type that grabs his wife's ballot as soon as it arrives in the mail and fills in the blanks for her. He's probably waiting for the mail carrier as I pen this. What more can be said?

For your reading pleasure I'd like to direct your attention to this press release from CABPRO who have come out against Measure W. This is the Toddsters compatriots speaking out about property rights.
By: California Association of Business, Property and Resource Owners (CABPRO)
May 6, 2016 - Measure W is not about cannabis – it’s about property rights. If our supervisors think they can take away the rights of legal cannabis farmers, what else do they think they can take from people?
Why are taxpayer dollars being used to try to override zoning codes by having this issue on the ballot? The problems that exist could easily be solved with community discussion. And if W should pass, the taxpayers will have to pay for another ballot measure down the road as things change in CA regarding the use of cannabis. And things will change. There is the possibility that adult recreational use (Adult Use of Marijuana Act) may be one of the changes we see this year.
With new state laws now in place, we have an opportunity to more greatly control what is going on in the county by licensing and taxing legal cannabis growers, and eliminating grows that are illegal.
Cannabis is best grown outdoors, in natural sunlight, where pesticides are not needed. Plants grown indoors are subject to molds and insect infestation. The necessity of using pesticides will greatly jeopardize the quality of the medicine. And how will that affect the health of those who need it?
Indoor grows will create other problems as well. Fire hazards for one. A 1200 watt bulb can get pretty hot.
Indoor growing requires ventilation, and since indoor growers can have multiple harvests a year, the smell that bothers some people for a couple of months out of the year now will be blown out of the growing structures year-‐round. So it doesn’t solve that problem. Also, being able to grow indoors year-round will likely attract even more growers to our area.
This is not an issue that can be rubber-‐stamped. We live in a community that cares about property rights and personal freedoms. None of the supervisors are newcomers – they should know that we value property rights in Nevada County. This has been a hot button for this community for the last 30 years. When will they listen?

Patricia, I agree with you @ 4:11pm. We got to ease into this slowly. Now you know how some of feel about some stuff being shoved down our throats in haste...like Ocare. Two wrongs never made a right, without or without the pun. Ham fisted is how I look at it also.
From my view from this corner of the woods, Don't Tread on Me first and foremost, unless I am doing something anti-social or poisoning the water supply (like the EPA did to my people.) Yep, we are all Libertarians on local issues. We are all hypocrites, from the highest in regard to the low slithering types. But, I do feel your frustration and perhaps justifiable anger on this, even though my ox ain't being gored.
A good solution (which won't help patients living on the outskirts of our townships) is to allow growing on Zone R/A or A only. No more of this R or R/A crap. Outta sight, outta mind. Just thought you might appreciate hearing it from some of us extremists now and then, even though it ain't going to change a thing.

There is still disinformation out there that there is some 'right' to weed in spite of the CA Supreme Court saying there is not a constitutional right to weed. 215 is an affirmative defense against criminal charges if you are a qualified patient. Under AB 266 100sq ft is the State standard for a personal grow. Measure W is much more generous with 12 plants (same base line as a home in measure S) and no square foot limit. After AB 266 that's it unless the municipal entity (city county) wants to issue commercial a license. Without a license its a felony, even Heather Burke agrees on this point.
In the absence of a constitutional right to weed there can be no property owners rights issue for a criminal activity.
Posted by: Don Bessee | 06 May 2016 at 04:51 PM
So don you have no problem with helicopter flyover's and photographing private property to be surveyed by the sheriffs department to determine what you're growing in your backyard Depending on what you're growing the result can lead to fines and possible liens on private property I take it you support that process

Sorry Todd. I am not "js". 1:00 am is long past my bedtime.

Who is js? Todd perhaps you should produce a movie "WHO is JS!?" It would cost millions and be seen by dozens.
Talk about the intelligence of a 6th grader.

You have the same crapola attitude and writing styles. Hmmm. Patricia is your significant other I hear?

Now Todd....you know I'm a fan....but for you to criticize other posters writing styles is just not a winning argument given some of your more unfortunate typos.

Oh Todd, you know I'm saving myself for you.
Posted by: Patricia Smith | 07 May 2016 at 03:45 PM
You actually made me laugh fish.

Sorry Patricia but you will have to wait forever. So you and Jon are not a couple?

Hi Michael......!
Posted by: fish | 08 May 2016 at 12:06 PM
Hey, our man Walt sure knew how to be light on his feet back them. Yo Walt, were you born with that helmet glued to yer Mellon? And, gee, the Injun is soooo very handsome I might add. The cop on the bike is friendly, so he's probably someone on these boards from the sane side of the aisle. Despite what RL thinks. Which one is RL, which one is Fish? No takers on the cowboy, palefaces? :)
I ain't touching this one no more. When George is away, the bugs really come out. But when the boys came out to play, lover lips lefties run away.

Wow, that troll is quite the fantisizer. Michael you must be lonely again.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 08 May 2016 at 01:18 PM
Funny how the troll's name when parsed at the syllables says a lot about him at 11:59. Hmmm, projecting it appears.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 08 May 2016 at 02:06 PM
What's the significance to "P. Dickinson"?

Comey willing don't matter. It will be Trump vs some other person of interest. Two things. We don't need Comey to make the case. And we don't need to make her case for her. She is going to get waxed like a long surfboard head to head, with or out e-mailgate. It's a cruel twist of fate. She is just going to be Hillary and that is more than enough. Never underestimate the personality factor and that shouting.
But, more importantly, I hear Trump should do this, do that, unify the party, blah, blah, blah. There will be no apology tour. Period. Hate to see Ryan go. He had such a bright future and seemed like a decent guy to have as a neighbor. Same with Rubio. But, no apology tour. The hostile takeover of a major political party does not include bending to the King of Saudi Arabia, the Head Honcho of Japan, or kiss any ring of any member of the House, Senate, or RNC, or Europe.
Hey Ryan, crawl to us if you want to kiss the ring. Ok, come on over and wait in the lobby. Get to the point because Citizen Trump is kinda busy. Or, go pound sand. Go ahead RNC and money boys, break off and start your own team. The voters have spoken. Your voters. Go ahead, make our day.

Reported on Fox News last night the Kremlin insiders are arguing over Hillary's emails. They have 25,000 hacked emails and the argument is if they should release the emails, admitting they hacked the server. This would solve the question, was the server hacked.

RussS 705am - Thanks for that pick up. I'm in kind of a black hole on news, but the connectivity has improved. What will Comey do now?
Administrivia - Would appreciate reports any off topic sexual allegation topics similar to the ones from our recent group of new commenters which I have now been able to block.
