Children at MacDonalds in Munich really gets to me. The day pics and stories of shot children, burned children, maimed for life children, or children being slaughtered is the day I stop being any semblance of what is known as human. This gets to be big time. It's like I want to turn back the clock a few hours, run out there' and throw my body in front and say "Take me, take me, but let the children live.'
Children sitting down munching on their Happy Meals cannot flee, cannot run. They were sitting.
Chris Steven's face never haunted me until the moment I learned not one finger was lifted to send help. Never got to me before that. Shooter in Germany? Yawn, another one until it came out the gleeful children at Ronald Mac Donald's house were the first ones shot..the first, not the last ones.
The Nice attack did not get to be until I saw an article entitled, "Why did so many children die at Nice." I couldn't even read two paragraphs. The picture of the teddy bear covered with a child's blankie in the middle of the road stopped me cold...dead cold.
The Orlando nightclub massacre was a shocking news story only....until I found a list of the ages of the deceased along side their pics. Millennials.... just kids really, young adults. Laughing, tossing back a few, in their prime, looking fine, life is good with their whole lives filled with dreams ahead of them. Gone.
Another little piece of me died today. Been dying a lot lately. It's not about me at all. Nothing happened to me. I welcome the pain, the pain those mentioned above do not feel anymore. Pain has always been my friend. It let's me know I am still human, am still on this side.

BillT 1005am - The report from Germany reeks of politically correct bullshit. Pursuant to the spontaneous and gratuitous killing, German investigators assured the public that "There is no danger to anyone else at this time." Since this guy was just one of hundreds of thousands of Muslims living in Germany, and apparently acted out his own cultural dictates, there is EVERY conceivable danger to EVERYONE else where such populations exist. And given the events of the last months and weeks, and now days, the risk to the public (probability of occurrence) is increasing dramatically.
