At least three of us libertarian types didn't vote for Trump. Gregory Fish and myself
To me he's a bit of a circus barker flim flam man. Hopefully he'll burn through this pretty quick and maybe will have more of a libertarian in there
Well then have a good time while it lasts befbefore the weight of his lies take him down

Boys, the Bikers for Trump are camping out in Virginia. They were scheduled to ride after the swearing in and before the parade. But, there is just too many of them and a logistics nightmare. It is all coordinated with the Park Police, Capitol Police, and Parks Service. They have two permits, (one for Saturday) but will ride in only if it does not interfere with security and crowd control. They be law abiding combat veterans who now how to be discipled and follow orders.
It never was missing!

Bill. The Mrs. got a nastygram from the state just yesterday saying "sign up, or pay a 600 dollar fine. Have a nice day." The state isn't going to get either.
First the state ends the plan for illegals for free health care, now gets the rug yanked out from underneath.
Jerry and the kids are having a rough night. No healthcare scam, no AGW bucks.
Let me guess.. The carbon credit BS might be next?
President Trump didn't just throw a monkey wrench into the works, he set to dump the whole tool box in.
Sunshine on our rainy day.

Um Walt, if you read the article the organizer stated clearly the permit was for 5000 riders.
Posted by: Steven Frisch | 20 January 2017 at 08:09 PM
Funny how things work out Steve. That #number is one thing. what shows up is a whole different matter. The first big Tea Party rally down in Sac. was permitted for about a thousand. 5000 showed. As they say,, "I was there"....
So there is "5000" members of the club. Then you have ALLLL the rest who decide to ride.
But keep thinking... Nice try.

Just watched Paul Manifort interviewed. The guy is sharp. I think Podeta though has some problems with his money from TRussia as does Bill and Hillary Clinton. Maybe a trial?
And CSPAN is as I write this running the loony lefty organizations rally and speeches in DC this morning. These are Frisch types. What a hoot!
Speaking of Frisch, I don't think he has ever gonbe back to his hometown Chicago and walked those mean streets has he? He could go there and stop the violence. Well, maybe he is a chicken leg. LOL!
250,000 bikers will be quite the site!

Paul Emery are you getting ready for the hot place? LOL!

Those 250,000 Harleys will sure make a lot of noise.

You go personally count them and then get back to me. You got caught posting a stale link.
Yup, a little embarrassing. At least you showed back up.(yet still pulled a Paul... change the subject..)I give you that. Paul is gone for the rest of the night.
The bikers must have done a pretty good job. The buttwipes didn't desturb the parade as planed. And from what I saw on Youtube, the Progressive pricks were on the losing side of things.

No, women did not vote for Hillary as a block. The party tomorrow will be left leaning women, not women in general. Have fun everyone.

Hmm. Let's see. 600 inkers went up to NY on Thursday to be close, yet on call. The big meeting place in Penn had them park and take busses in. They be groups of them spread out all other gathering spots on people's farms and bussing on in. Yep, permit and news and photos say 5,000 I reckon. Think they meant 5,000 in one spot, but what do I know?. Let the police handle the Meltdown, our men and women are going to do some mingling in the crowds. :).

"Every time some hick uses the term snowflake I get a special chuckle out of the knowledge that it was coined by liberal hollywood actor, liberal and climate activist, Brad Pitt." -Frisch 6:29
Could have stopped at the actor citation, cupcake. So he plays make believe for a living. Puts being on the left and being a "climate activist" in perspective, doesn't it?
Pitt was a graduate of Kickapoo High School and a college drop out, but then he was studying journalism. No big loss. Your kind of authority figure, Steve, but I'll just enjoy his work playing make believe in the movie theaters. BTW Pitt was masterful in 12 Monkeys... Did a an absolutely *great* job playing a mental case. One of the very best of Terry Gilliam's movies.

Fox has trump at 37-54 -17% Negative
Bad starte for the Trumper. Inauguration is usually the high point.

"KBTW, I love the point that the Executive Order BLOTUS signed today said it would be the policy of the Trump administration to seek the repeal of Obamacare. Seek the repeal? What happened to immediately signing and EO repealing Obamacare? The betrayal begins :)"
-Frisch 547pm
"The one-page order, which Mr. Trump signed in a hastily arranged Oval Office ceremony shortly before departing for the inaugural balls, gave no specifics about which aspects of the law it was targeting. But its broad language gave federal agencies wide latitude to change, delay or waive provisions of the law that they deemed overly costly for insurers, drug makers, doctors, patients or states, suggesting that it could have wide-ranging impact, and essentially allowing the dismantling of the law to begin even before Congress moves to repeal it."
-NY Times
Everyone besides Stevie is interpreting this as Trump filling the first day pledge.
Steve, time for more hamster dance!

Posted by: Gregory | 21 January 2017 at 06:09 AM
Merely pointing our how the BLOTUS exaggerated his powers and lied to most of America about what he would actually do. My guess is that this action will be amongst the most controversial in the long run because much as Republicans might want to immediately repeal without a replacement that maintains the 20 million Americans who now have health insurance who did not previously, and coverage for children up to 26 years of age, and coverage for pre-existing conditions, Republicans are removing a popular program.
So now they are stuck....because they have no way to pay for it without premiums increasing for everyone else.
Period.
They will have to either replace with something just as expensive or more so....or face the wrath of a public who they are taking benefits away from.
Catch-22 for the big mouths.

It never did tackle the problem of "gold plated" employer plans that shoveled untaxed compensation to high paid workers and drove prices faster than inflation... much beloved by those that got them.

Children up to 26 years old? Well, that explains a lot. Is that what we call those that got a college degree 4 years ago? Children? Hmmm, don't hurt the children!
I hope their healthcare insurance covers play dough, coloring books, and magic ponies. Mental health coverage is a good thing.

This will be a huge electoral issue as well, and want to know where it ends? Single payer in about 8 years.
Posted by: stevenfrisch | 21 January 2017 at 08:13 AM
Looks like the large mouth ass from Truckee was hooked by their own BS.
Central to the Obamacare debacle is the debasement of the word "insurance". It used to mean for healthcare what it means everywhere else... you pay for the little stuff yourself but when something big happens... the shared risk you've been paying for pays off and bails you out.
Employer paid health care is not, by and large, "insurance", and Obamacare coverage for preexisting condidions isn't insurance either, it's a gift from those who have been paying to those that have not.
It's also different than the "preexisting condition" problems of folks who had been insured who now have to get a new policy, generally because of a loss of a job. That problem is portability and it could have been solved with a stroke of a pen. "If you were insured when the condition was diagnosed, you can't have it held against you". Another would be "preexisting conditions diagnosed while not covered by insurance can be exempted from insurance coverage for up to two years"... in California, insurers were forbidden to carve out preexisting conditions from policies. So they just refused to issue them at all.
Obamacare was fatally flawed from the beginning and many rational observers believe that was by design... so single payer socialized medicine will be politically possible when it melts down... I expect that assumed that Democrats would be in control of the Presidency, the House, the Senate and the Judiciary when that happened. Doesn't look that way now, does it, Steve?
Posted by: Gregory | 21 January 2017 at 08:16 AM

Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 21 January 2017 at 08:28 AM
Stevie, they are gifts. Insurance is about paying before the loss... just ask 21st Century why they don't sell collision coverage that pays for existing damage.
Obamacare was, from the beginning, an income transfer from the young to the old, the healthy to the ill, the working to the unemployed, the wealthy to the poor. It wasn't about fixing *insurance* for the vast middle classes, lowest to uppermost.

"It is left-wing protests that invariably devolve into law-breaking and so it was that the same kids who think Donald Trump is too divisive were soon smashing windows and throwing projectiles at police in behalf of their supposedly more open-minded vision of America. (The left’s street protesters act as if there is no social or political problem that can’t be addressed by hurling things at cops.)
The same media that would’ve denounced pro-Trump protests as a threat to democracy has treated the anti-Trump protests as a natural symptom of a divided country. Erupting in rage at the result of an election went from a grave offense against our system to the latest front in the battle for social justice right around the time that the Upper Midwest was called for Trump."

Oh I think it is great that 200,000 women are marching today. I saw a whole lot of single guys roaming the masses looking for a date probably. If you watch the speakers all you get though is a bunch of whiny complainers and man haters. Of course they would not apply to Frisch. Anyway, if these whiners put as much energy into something positive for the country we would be unstoppable. But als, it is like a old divorced ex0wife bitcjing about the alimony check as she engages the gals in the hir dresser shop.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 21 January 2017 at 09:52 AM
Listening to Kamala Harris, one can almost forget that her Democratic Party has been hollowed out and that very many women are not voting for Democrats, including a majority of white women.
Trump was faulted for not doing enough to unite the country, the propaganda coming from the Mall today is as divisive as can be. Not surprising considering how women who didn't accept the leftist status quo weren't welcome.
Posted by: Gregory | 21 January 2017 at 09:58 AM
To gain some perspective on Trump's inaugural speech, check out the G.W. Bush speech from 2001 - also a contentious election. Note the similar themes. Bush was saying many of the same things Trump did pre-Obama, yet Obama has been blamed by the 'Right' for everything that has happened since Bush was elected 16 years ago.

Golly, BradC, I don't think Bush planned on 9/11 though the front runner for DNC chair seems to disagree with that.
Can we agree to blame Obama for Obamacare, the only President to not see 3% growth in a recovery despite $9T of deficit spending and $4T of QE money for nothing, or is that Bush's fault, too?

Posted by: George Rebane | 21 January 2017 at 10:21 AM
Of course Trump's crowds are smaller. Of course the polls say Trump is in the crapper, duh. Geeze, where have you guys been?
This is how I see it. We on the right are afraid. We know better than to put a Trump bumper sticker on our cars. Getting the car keyed is the least of our worries. In today's world, it is dangerous to be an openly Trump supporter. We don't want to get beat up. We are not welcome in many venues and afraid to "come out of the closet".
Reminds me of all the articles and talk about the Nazis I have seen and read over the last 6 months. I do see a correlation.
We Trump supporters have to look around before venturing out. If we get together with another Trump supporter, we have to whisper and talk in code and meet in secret. It is like we are the Jews in Nazi Germany and Poland now, confined to areas away from the others. We have to keep our heads down at work and hide our dirty secret that we support Trump. We have to lie to our co-workers, our families, our neighbors to avoid conformations. When we go out to dinner, we hope nobody recognizes us as as possible Trump sympathizers.
We live in constant fear. We have been pulled from sitting on our lounge chairs in our front yards and beaten. Our elderly are pushed to the ground and brutally kicked. Our women have been spat upon and egged. Our children have been sent home from school and expelled if they write the word "Trump" on a sheet of paper. The police are often called to investigate this as a hate crime that our children committed and we are called down to the principle's office and are treated with the foul air of suspicion and unveiled contempt. CPS knocks on our doors to inspect our homes as a follow up.
We are bad parents, bad neighbors, bad co-workers and bad citizens. We must hide our dirty secret least we be found out. There are no Safe Places for those support Trump. We have to speak very carefully and say half truths like "I did not endorse Trump, but I voted for the lesser of two evils...but I really don't agree with him or like him. Really!"
And now the Nazis want to know who we are. Obelin College's student body was beyond distraught when Trump won. Later it was revealed that the college students voted 4,500+ for Hillary, 400+ for Trump. The student councils wants to find who those 400 voters are.
An editorial to the Union immediately after the election echoed the same distraught and witch hunt. Who among our neighbors, our co-workers, our community voted for Trump? The idea that such people are living among "us" has been exposed by the election. "We will deal with them later" to steal a phrase.
We Trump enthusiastic voters have to temper our enthusiasm in case there are witnesses. We have to be very careful. It is dangerous to our health and livelihoods out there. Our biggest fear is to be found out and suffer the consequences, be it physical harm or the mental anguish suffered due to the barrage of insults and anger directed at us. We dare not say a kind thing about Trump on social media. Being unfriended on Facebook is a blessing in disguise because being unfriended by long time "friends" is not nearly as bad as the threats to our persons, children, our humble abodes.
We feel like Jews living under the growing Nazi state now and wait for the day when we have to wear the yellow armbands so the majority can identify us. We live in fear and hiding as the Nazis roam the streets looking for us. We retire early at night now and pull the drapes tight. We set up fake accounts with fake names if we want to find kindred brethren on social media....but question deep within our beings if we will be found out in time.
And you wonder why crowd attendance is down by half? It is not safe to be a Trumper nor even a Republican in 2017. We have no safe place.

More from David Duke applauding the work " Our people" had in electing Trump. Gregory, Fish, Todd , what is it about Trump that excites these people and inspired their support.
"Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke is calling Donald Trump's electoral victory "one of the most exciting nights of my life."
Duke, a white nationalist who unsuccessfully ran for Louisiana Senate, tweeted early Wednesday that his supporters played a major part in paving Trump's road to the presidency.
"Make no mistake about it, our people have played a HUGE role in electing Trump!" he wrote."

Actually I have to admit that I am not particularly pleased with the sound or the tone of much of the Women's March program either...largely because it is essentially a sting of acknowledgements for co-sponsors and organizations...but the point of the march is to build a movement and create solidarity. I am a little more cerebral, I would like to hear a set of priorities and policies discussed...but then again this is probably not the venue.
I love the 'better luck next time" line Greg--you know the thing that most of the posters here fear the most is that the coalition that supports a more progressive America is the majority...and guess what, it will have better luck next time. The America of your youth is gone.
Trump awakened a sleeping giant my friends....he is incapable of bridging this gap...the opposition and the resistance will grow, it will show up in 2018 and 2020 like you have never seen before, it will take Congress and the White House back, and in the end it will prevail.
Too many people in this country refuse to be represented by a pussy grabbing, bigoted, racist, angry, white nationalist.

BillT, hey I wear my Trump cap all over the place and have yet to attacked. Maybe since I am a big tall guy that intimidates those pussy libs? Anyway listening to the screechy women at the SC march should gve all men pause about what to look for in a gal. My goodness, they all sound like that women in the holdng cell at the jail picked up fr drunkeness.
It appears to me that Putin is using these people for his own desire to divide America. We on the right want a ONE AMERICA while Putin and these women and siaffected losers on the left want a divided and segmentized America. So Putin is using them as his tool to divide.
And these women are yelling that they are sooo abused and have no power. My goodness, women have all the power yet cannot even see it. And as far as PATRIOTISM is concerned. I heard not one babe say she was a patriot. Only that she wanted more. Whatever that means.

You know Steve there's nothing better for religion than a good healthy devil in the progressives have got one that exceeds all expectations. My guess is the Republicans will bail on Trump when he gets in trouble and would probably support impeachment to get their guy Pense in it. Is certainly no love lost between the Republican mainstreams and Trump and he really doesn't have that many supporters at best maybe 30%.

Go fuck yourself Steve, My wife is of Jewish descent, and from Germany on top of that.
Her family knows that persecution. Take your anti semitism and stick it.

I agree with you Paul---power will shift to Congress as it has every time there is a weak, ineffective or corrupt President.

Oh I think America will be just fine in the right side of the next elections. And most of America is fed up with having your progressive, anti-life, anti white people, pro porn, pro anti-patriot, pro illegal, pro sancturay city crap. So get used to being outraged at the America we all love getting back to basics. Respect, charity and religion. It is a wonderful site.
Btw, many of the speakers railed against "white privilege" and "white supremacist" at this baloney rally. Tells me the participants are racists.

Paul emery | 21 January 2017 at 11:09 AM
Oh I think it will be just fine. The Congress sees things getting done with someone who agrees with most of their agenda. Obama went it alone as he was unable to check his ego and work with the R's. Trump is the opposite of the loser Obama.
Hey Walt, people like Frisch are always calling others names. I get it too regarding illegal immigrants. Then I have to tell them my grandaughter is half Mexican-American. But idiots like Frisch never learn.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 21 January 2017 at 11:19 AM
Anyone hear the speech by Donna Hylton, who proudly proclaimed she'd spent 27 years in prison and gave a shout out to her fellow prisoners still being held behind bars?
I looked it up... she was convicted "for her part in the brutal, spectacular murder, in which three men and four women tortured a Long Island real-estate broker and, once he was dead, shut him up in a footlocker to decompose."
Ooooh, Angela Davis is speaking now... she bought the shotgun that was strapped to a judge's neck to make sure the hostage could be dispached if needed. She's also a climate change activist. You go, girl!

" My guess is the Republicans will bail on Trump when he gets in trouble and would probably support impeachment to get their guy Pense in it." - Paul
Gee, Paul, you've given up on the guess that Trump will bail rather than be sworn in and start working the office?
So many guesses, so little time.

Are you really that stupid Walt...I suggest you go back and re-read the exchange.

PE's frishy show is whistling past the grave yard. How many dem senators are up for reelection in Trump states? How many house? We have total control in 2/3 of the states. 0 eviscerated the dems with his virulent leftist policies. Here is where PE and sidekick say 0 is XX% popular in the adjusted polls. SO what? As 0 himself said; this election was about his polices, team 0 must really be feeling that rejection judging from ms 0's expressions. ;-)

Walt is way smarter than you Frisch. He never BK'd a restaurant.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 21 January 2017 at 11:34 AM
Frisch 1102
"Trump secured 48 percent of the white vote in the 18-to-29 age group, while Clinton won just 43 percent".
They aren't the youth you remember, Steve.

So Todd the Trump hat you're wearing is not made in America and guarantees that
Posted by: Paul emery | 21 January 2017 at 11:35 AM
@Gregory -
Straw men Gregory? From you, of all people! I was referring to the content of the two inauguration speeches.
Listen to Bush talk about our issues - the same issues Trump and his Trumpeteers blame Obama for failing to address -
"We must live up to the calling we share. Civility is not a tactic or a sentiment; it is the determined choice of trust over cynicism, of community over chaos. And this commitment, if we keep it, is a way to shared accomplishment.
America at its best is also courageous. Our national courage has been clear in times of depression and war, when defeating common dangers defined our common good. Now we must choose if the example of our fathers and mothers will inspire us or condemn us. We must show courage in a time of blessing by confronting problems instead of passing them on to future generations.
Together we will reclaim America's schools before ignorance and apathy claim more young lives. We will reform Social Security and Medicare, sparing our children from struggles we have the power to prevent. And we will reduce taxes to recover the momentum of our economy and reward the effort and enterprise of working Americans.
We will build our defenses beyond challenge, lest weakness invite challenge. We will confront weapons of mass destruction, so that a new century is spared new horrors. The enemies of liberty and our country should make no mistake: America remains engaged in the world, by history and by choice, shaping a balance of power that favors freedom.
We will defend our allies and our interests. We will show purpose without arrogance. We will meet aggression and bad faith with resolve and strength. And to all nations, we will speak for the values that gave our Nation birth.
America at its best is compassionate. In the quiet of American conscience, we know that deep, persistent poverty is unworthy of our Nation's promise. And whatever our views of its cause, we can agree that children at risk are not at fault.
Abandonment and abuse are not acts of God; they are failures of love. And the proliferation of prisons, however necessary, is no substitute for hope and order in our souls. Where there is suffering, there is duty. Americans in need are not strangers; they are citizens—not problems but priorities. And all of us are diminished when any are hopeless."
Bush could not solve all the problems facing America - neither could Obama.
Maybe Americans will respond to Trump's "Amerika, uber alles!" speech. We shall see.
Trump is not starting out facing a financial meltdown and massive job losses as Obama did. Obama made America OK again. Trump will just have to make a few tweaks, add some icing on the cake, and, I am sure, take all the credit.
PS - a recession is overdue - DoH!

Paul, reports are the MAGA hats being sold by Trump are made in the USA but it remains a free country. Hats from China, Viet Nam and the Indian subcontinent are readily available from independent vendors enjoying a larger profit margin.
Posted by: Gregory | 21 January 2017 at 11:38 AM
Freeloader Steve. I don't see anything in what Bill said that wasn't accurate.
LIBS trash and destroy property when peeved. That's something "our side" just doesn't do.
"WE" don't beat up people in the streets because "we" don't like the T-shirt they are wearing. "We" don't torch your car because it had a pro "O" bumper sticker.
That's the things YOUR hate filled pricks do.
Posted by: Walt | 21 January 2017 at 11:47 AM
"Maybe Americans will respond to Trump's "Amerika, uber alles!" speech. We shall see."
More straw men from you, BradC. The idea that the US government should represent the interests of its citizens and taxpayers first is not a call for the USA to be "uber alles".
I'd prefer a Libertarian at the helm but I expect Trump will not be the disaster Clinton would have been. Power to the Textualists!
PS now Madonna is speaking. Good will win in the end! And Amy Schumer is behind her!
Todd, Madonna said "Fuck You!" a couple of times and I think she meant for you to hear it. Just doing my part. Ooooh, now she's about to sing and has invited all to join in.
Posted by: Gregory | 21 January 2017 at 11:54 AM
Downtown Nevada City is packed with women protesting our "Pussy Grabbing President". Biggest protest parade I've ever seen in my town.
Hats off to Heidi Hall winner of the District 1 Supes race in a landslide, who is part of the Washington March today.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 21 January 2017 at 11:56 AM
Oh Paul, I just heard Madonna, you know that slut right? She was F-bombing all over the place. What a role model.
And you sound like a kitty Paul, whipped and looking for someone to tell you what a man you are. These gals will calm down as they always do and they will get back to their lives of complaining about you. What a hoot.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 21 January 2017 at 12:03 PM
They can protest all they like. It isn't going to change a damned thing.
Welcome to America.
Posted by: Walt | 21 January 2017 at 12:07 PM
While the marches continue, Trump is doing the presidential stuff he was elected to do.
I wouldn't say "Happy Days are Here Again" but then, my only reason for relief on Election Night was knowing the next two or three SCOTUS nominees will not be social justice warriors ready to trash the clear meaning of the Constitution.
Guns, immigration law, climate change. We live in interesting times.
Posted by: Gregory | 21 January 2017 at 12:08 PM
Hey PE 1156- Did they actually make new signs or is it just the same old, same old from every overpass protest from years past in 'your town'? ;-)
Posted by: Don Bessee | 21 January 2017 at 12:09 PM
Well, no holding back boys! Got to get it out of our systems. This melt done just keeps going on and on. After awhile if Trump is still in office, they will realize nobody is coming to take their rights away. Gays are safe and all the little child of the land, red and yellow, black and white. Abortions in back alleys again. Yeah, like that is going to happen.
White Nationalist? A White Nationist believes in equality and a segregated society. White Nationalists do not believe in superiority of one race over any other. Blacks live with blacks, whites with whites, and want it that way. Not the KKK, not the Arryian Nation, not David Duke (?). Don't no Duke's positions because never read one paragraph about Duke in my life. No interest in that crap.
Farrakhan's Nation of Islam believes in the same thing. That is why when I saw in the papers that a few colleges are offering Black only dorms this year, I said, "Damn! This is like going back to separate but equal. Time warp. The first ones (of many) are being readied as I speak. Sorry for the diversion.
Ok, is Trump a White Nationalist? Not a Surpremist, a White Nationalist. All races are equal...just White People should live with Y-Ts and Black Folk should live with Black Folk. Decide within your own noggins and let's get it all out in the open.
Is Trump a White Nationalist? Yea or nay.

Your support of Pussy Grabbing will not be kindly received by the Guy in the Sky.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 21 January 2017 at 12:14 PM
Paul Emery, what? I treat women with respect so I have a good chance of going north. You are really a sad sack though. Your support of these racist and misogynistic women is truly frightening.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 21 January 2017 at 12:19 PM
Todd
Not a word of concern from you about Trump bragging about his assaults on women. Not one.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 21 January 2017 at 12:21 PM
So as an alt-left wing, druid PE what guy in the sky are you referring to? ;-)
Posted by: Don Bessee | 21 January 2017 at 12:23 PM
Bill 12:09
Good question that I don't have a firm answer on. The Whities and KKK sure do like him and were dancing with glee and were back slapping each other with a "job well done" after he won. Much like the Russians.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 21 January 2017 at 12:24 PM
Anyone notice that those whose months of predictions and polls, which turned out terribly wrong, are the very people taking strength from their manifold mistakes and now double down on more predictions delivered even more firmly and fervently??
Posted by: George Rebane | 21 January 2017 at 12:27 PM
Just a reminder that Hillary Clinton won among women by about 14 percentage points.
