Nothing to see here, just new Trump family operations in China to include escort services and massage parlors,

Not totally unexpected, since prostitution runs in the Trump family, along with avoiding military service, etc. -

Bootleggers (Kennedy) to Pimps (Trump) - make America great again!

"We need to go back and set up a single payer system like all those EU countries have."

I'm always surprised by how little people (at least the highly-opinionated variety) actually know about the nuts and bolts of healthcare in other countries. They treat the rest of the First World as some of bullet-item arguing point instead of as individual places with individual systems, all of which have evolved for (probably) close to 100 years.

BradC, instead of sharing your political Tourette's, howza bout explaining how health plans should be designed?

Since this is a sandbox, I'll go ahead and post what will become one of the iconic images of the times (in case you hadn't seen it).

Let a terrorist go and get away, before arrest.. Can't have the news get out the Trump was RIGHT. Especially just before the election.
Yup, loyal "O" officers do this, the same kind that would leak info.
Its time to find and charge under the hatch act.

Where is Bill? Your opinion and specialized dissection of this is required.

Walt 551pm - This kind of statements coming from leftwing factions are nothing new. In the US the Democrats have always been the most virulous racists the country has ever seen beginning with the foundation of the Democrat party in the early 19th century. It is they who backed slavery, terrorized post-bellum blacks, established and enshrined Jim Crow, founded and supported American eugenics, and finally sacrificed the emerging black middle class to create a cohort of permanently disadvantaged, ignorant, yet reliable voting block which they have enjoyed for the last 50 years.

In the 20th century they picked up on the political manipulations of Lenin, and were the fifth column backers of communism in the US. Now they are versed in loudly accusing everyone else of what in fact they practice - violence, hatred, discrimination, and an unabashed promotion of leviathan as an overarching totalitarian state. We have to remember that for them the individual is nothing but an expendable cipher that can be manipulated, deployed, and dispensed with for this or that political purpose. The collective is all, everyone else is assigned to classes that must be vilified and then destroyed. It is simply their nature.

rl crabb

I wouldn't deny that all those horrible things were done by those despicable Democrats, but how come they all switched parties after the dirty liberals demanded an end to segregation?

Todd Juvinall

Prove it.

re: RLC @ 8:00PM

You mean Democrats like Byrd?

George Rebane

RL 800pm - they have done anything but switched parties. Stay tuned for a sample from the local Nevada County Democrats.

" The current Repub replacement will generate more heat than light,"

I doubt that it will pass with anything like the current wording. For one thing, a key Trump constituency, working class older (but sub-65) people will get absolutely hammered with new health insurance premiums.

This undoubtably connects the Clinton campaign to the Russians.....

"There are people in this world who do not love their fellow man, and I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT!" - professor Tom Lehrer in the '60's.

"I hate people who don't recycle!" -overheard at the dump

"And I'm entitled to get drunk and puke in your lap! I'm going to throw up right in your lap! You make me sick! Don't talk to me! Don't look at me! Don't you dare even put your arm on that rest. You disgust me! You should be ashamed of yourself! You put a maniac's finger on the button" (assuming she's means nukes). You are a bigot. You should get off this plane!"

I've had essentially the same experience in downtown Nevada City, before the election and the same folk has been avoiding my presence ever since, one in particular telling anyone who will listen how stupid I am... not because I'm GOP, but because I don't accept the Gospels according to St. McKibben (who, it should be known, like Al Gore, never took a real physical science class in all his years in the Ivy League) who pulled the famous 350ppm CO2 target out of his hat.

Another experience was in listening to a couple of political bigots in a local family establishment, making blanket declarations right out of the Chris Mooney claims that GOP beliefs against what he thinks are scientific truths are the result of genetic inferiority.

I called them out as bigots, nicely, no shouting from either side; there also was no wiggle room for them, as they were clearly claiming Republicans were all STUPID. One of the proprietors came over and told me the couple were two of their oldest friends in town and I just as calmly repeated, that meant two of your oldest friends in town were bigots. Further challenged, and asked why I'd care because I wasn't a Republican, I mentioned I knew a number of registered GOP among my extended family who were reasoned and educated, and asked them if they'd object the labeling of their old friends if they'd said that about blacks? Should someone who is a mutant barbarian like me (anyone who has blue eyes and doesn't speak Greek can be fairly labeled as such) not challenge false statements about any group? Now, unlike the woman in that airliner, my experiences in observing our local tolerant Progressives took place BEFORE the election, counting their chickens before they hatched, believing their own Greek chorus that the Clintons would win.

Considering the violence of the words and deeds of their Blackshirts, I can only imagine how abysmal they might have been had they won.

I was originally hoping the GOP would prevail in November because of the need to get more Scalias on the bench from top to bottom, and then, after Scalia died in his sleep, even more anxious about the next two or three SCOTUS appointments. The most personal peace I've had in years was when our local "progressives" were shell shocked enough to keep quiet on Nov 8. The worst offenders are still avoiding eye contact; I guess the shattering of their New Progressive America dreams, beginning with the vanquishing of their foes last November, was just too much.

Oh my. From today's Police Blotter:

"6:19 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Mill Street reported a female on her property saying there are druids on the caller's property in the creek."

Well, now it is starting to make sense......but saying there are no absolutes is in and of itself an absolute statement, is it not? Heck, what do I know anyhow.

"One of the most striking characteristics of Druidism is the degree to which it is free of dogma and any fixed set of beliefs or practices.
There is no ‘sacred text’ or the equivalent of a bible in Druidism and there is no universally agreed set of beliefs amongst Druids."

Todd Juvinall

My response to the ridiculous colimn by a fellow named Alexander of Nevada City in the Union today.

"The problem with you leftwing hypocrites is so obvious yet for some reason you refuse to see it. You say we should all come together and meet in the middle and how you have such a desire for getting along then you slam and demean. My goodness, all I can say is that has to be a mental illness. We on the right have listened to your incessant yapping and whining and we are truly sick of it. You had your way and we had to take the highway all these years. We have won the race for now and are about to implement our agendas. That is the consequence of a election. We have more votes in the Congress. You have wiped us out in California with your gerrymandering and I do not see you telling your pals in Sacramento to gt your butts to the middle. Why is that? So keep whining as it seems to be a personality defect of the liberal. We won, get over it. Oh and you trash our candidate yet in my view yours was even worse and the people saw it and rejected her and your ilk elsewhere across the country."

Some more fake news news.

Politico on the Trump Transition

PROMISES, PROMISES: A few weeks before the election, Trump laid out an ambitious plan for his first 100 days in office. Trump is halfway through that period today, and he's still scratching at the surface of key initiatives, such as stopping illegal immigration, while the one big reform currently before Congress -- repealing and replacing Obamacare -- had a rocky rollout this week and started its legislative journey.

Other recent presidents have started their terms by rolling out big policy proposals that send a message about where they want Washington to go. President George W. Bush focused his first weeks in office sending proposals to Capitol Hill, starting with No Child Left Behind education reform. President Barack Obama had an immediate call-to-action to cope with the financial crisis, and he signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act just days after his inauguration. Trump's actions have mostly consisted of executive orders. "He's giving snacks, rather than the main course, of the policies that he's interested in delivering on," said historian Martha Kumar, director of the White House Transition Project.

No mention of the Schumer Slowdown in the Senate delaying the confirmation of Cabinet Members who would be leading the initiatives. No mention of the Deep State obstruction. No mention of riots in the streets. No mention of the leaks that are disrupting the flow of work, to recover, forcing a redo. No mention of the lefty Judges throwing legal monkey wrenches into the political machinery.

Given the obstacles I would say that Trump is making better progress than the Progressive had expected. Go Trump!

Well, that took a while.

fake news news:

Look how this is worded:

"Trump Abruptly Orders 46 Obama-Era Prosecutors to Resign"

"The firings were a surprise"

lol. Of course, Clinton fired 93. http://www.nytimes.com/1993/03/24/us/attorney-general-seeks-resignations-from-prosecutors.html

What in the hell is with these newspaper people?

The world is a much more entertaining place with Maxine Waters in it.....

Maxine Waters thinks President Trump should be impeached over golden showers

Golden Showers an impeachable offense.....I thought that was pretty much the definition of political fundraising these days?

ScenesFromTheApocalypse | 10 March 2017 at 03:37 PM

What in the hell is with these newspaper people?

To borrow the "Instapundit" description.....just think of them as democratic operatives with bylines.

Didn't Bush take blast furnace heat for firing Lefty attorneys? I recall something along those lines. Glad to see these has been no repeat of that.(yet)

Fish. That loon Maxine, went off the rails a long time ago. Now how to get the woman committed to a nuthouse ward should be top priority. Now doesn't Ca. have a law on the books to remove firearms from those who show signs of mental instability? The proper authorities need to be notified, and to pay her a visit. (if she has any or not)

Have you used the Best Buy Geek Squad?

Recently unsealed records reveal a much more extensive secret relationship than previously known between the FBI and Best Buy's Geek Squad, including evidence the agency trained company technicians on law-enforcement operational tactics, shared lists of targeted citizens and, to covertly increase surveillance of the public, encouraged searches of computers even when unrelated to a customer's request for repairs.

I wonder if they installed Trojan Horse backdoors for the FBI?

In the United States today, nothing is what it appears to be.

That's funny, I didn't know they were Russian.

Bill Tozer

Yep, that story keeps making the rounds. The Alt-Left should be careful what they wish for. The Russian connection is pointing more and more to the DNC, Obama, Hillary and the HRC campaign apparatus with each passing day. It stinks to high heaven. Who knows what a real investigation will lead to....maybe we will finally find the 30,000 missing e-mails from Hillary when she was at State and get to read them.

More is revealed with each passing day.

Bill Tozer

Kicking a dead horse. No proof!

For Russ Steele's pleasure. Boy, are we going to pay.

a quote I rather liked from a Theodore Dalrymple article (when speaking about a particularly stupid bit of political correctness):

"Though this be madness, yet there is method in it: For the greater political correctness’ violation of common sense, the better—at least if its goal is power over men’s minds and conduct. In this sense it is like Communist propaganda of old: The greater the disparity between the claims of that propaganda and the everyday experience of those at whom it was directed, the greater the humiliation suffered by the latter, especially when they were obliged to repeat it, thus destroying their ability to resist, even in the secret corners of their heart. That is why the politically correct insist that everyone uses their language: Unlike what the press is supposed to do, the politically correct speak power to truth."

re: BT@8:17 AM

" Who knows what a real investigation will lead to."

The low hanging fruit here would be a thorough investigation of the various Clinton 'non-profits' from both a tax and criminal standpoint. They were far too big and far too legit to quickly burn the records in a barrel out back.

That will never ever ever happen, but it's a nice idea.

Things appear to be getting a bit more frisky in Europe.

To the Washington Post's credit, not a bad run-down of The Netherlands v. Turkey. An article that's chock full of irony.

One of my favorite lines:

The prime minister added: “Hey Europe, please don’t meddle in Turkey’s internal affairs and politics and don’t take a side.”

Employees who decline genetic testing could face penalties under proposed bill

The bill is under review by other House committees and still must be considered by the Senate. But it’s already received strong criticism from a broad array of groups as well as House Democrats. In a letter sent to the committee earlier this week, nearly 70 organizations, representing consumer, health and medical advocacy groups, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, AARP, March of Dimes, and the National Women’s Law Center, said the legislation, if enacted, would undermine basic privacy provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 2008 Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, or GINA.

Who doubts if Sugar Frosted Barry O's regulators or a democratic congress had proposed this that democrats would have lined up barking like trained seals to support it!

Poll update:

Trump in a freefall! On Rasmussen he has dropped 21 points in a month from + 14 a month ago to -7 today. Also on Gallop he is now -16, an all time low. This is before the grim scenario of Trumpcare became news. The knives are sharpening and soon the Repubs will be looking at cutting their support as 2018 and the midterms is just around the corner.

George Rebane

Now here's a real conundrum I find myself in, and perhaps other readers are similarly afflicted. President Trump started out lower than a snakes belly according to PaulE, and he's been in "free fall" since then. So given his starting numbers, how come he's not hit bottom yet? This is turning out to be the longest free fall in political history.

Dr. R @212- The problem with that picture is that we are talking about fakenews, from a hyperventilating pearl clutching, fakenewsman, good ol' PE. As a party parrot he is stuck in that pollhead rut. BDS and TURD's are a heavy burden for good ol' pollhead PE. ;-)

Todd Juvinall

I think the PE's of the country will be the residents of mental institutions by the fourth year of a Trump tenure. And if he runs and is re-elected I bet there will be mass suicides.

Todd Juvinall

Oh and I think the Reuters has him above water. So not a real freefall.

Paul Emery

Don Why is it "fake news" in your opinion? Do you dispute that the poll numbers actually exist? If so what is fake about them?

George, Trump started with the lowest polls in recorded history for a new President and have sunk even lower. It is a case of "how low can you go". Bush fell to the high 20's at the end after starting with a +25 at the start of his first term. Obama was + 35. Trump is -8 average. That's a 20 point difference which is huge.

As far as how low can he go? Tusdh went as far down as 26% approval so he has a ways to fall. Just a reminder that the Dems won the house and Senate after Bush tanked so you'd better believe that that these numbers are seriously being looked at.

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery, why do you persist on this poll thing with Trump? You must have a rock for a head. We don't care. He is going to be your President for four maybe eight years. We like him. Go away.

George Rebane

PaulE 257pm - I'm not contending with you Paul, just not understanding how starting at historical lows and being in free fall for a couple of months still has his head above water. How is that?

Don Bessee

I would be interested in comparing good ol' party parrot PE's tax rate to the Presidents 2005. ;-)

Todd Juvinall

That piker Trump paid on;y 38 million in taxes in 2005. And at only twice the rate of Bernie Sanders and Obama. Man that Trump is a cheapskate.

Paul Emery

Sorry George I'm so slow in getting back to you but I've been extremely busy rehearsing for our Leonard Cohen show at the crest theater in Sacramento

His historical lows at the very beginning were pretty close to 50-50 which compared to any other modern president when first elected was very weak He has declined since then dramatically in some polls such as Rasmussen and Gallup. Bush was up by 30 at one point and Obama up by 25 early on

Trump care being in the spotlight won't do him any favors Will just have to wait and see I will do all of your readers a favor by giving daily reports

Don Bessee

Oh man, poor ol' pollhead PE is wobbly @ 1051 again. ;-)

"I would be interested in comparing good ol' party parrot PE's tax rate to the Presidents 2005."

You have to report income to pay taxes. (I keed, I keed).

I did enjoy the morning news consternation about DT's tax rate being higher than the other perps. As expected, there was a lot of arch speculation about where the money came from now that the rate was established. It has something to do with Russians or the secret Nazi base in Antarctica, but definitely shows the lack of value in ever giving in to your political opponents. Like blackmailers, they just demand more.

Also, I'd say there's a high probability that this tax data magically showed up in a reporters 'mailbox' in order to knock Vault 7 off news rotation.

This, from the man who paid 13% on his taxes:

lol. What can I say.

Todd Juvinall

Didn't Paul Emery pick up the Hillary talking points about Trump's 1995 tax returns? Yes he did and he challenged Trump to release them since he was sure Hillary was right that he sis not pay ant for 18 years after that loss. Sorry PaulE you are just a mouthpiece for your registered party of democrats. Bot believable.

Paul Emery

Poll update for your reading pleasure:

Trumps decline on Rasmussen is astonishing. 29 point shift from +13 on 26 Jan to - 16 today/ Almost unprecedented fall in any poll especially for a new President.

Paul Emery

Add on the DOA of Trumpcare and you have a pretty grizzly scenario for the ol' Trumper.

Todd Juvinall

Thank goodness you are not in a position of strategist for anything. He plays you like a drum.

Best thing that could happen to his administration......to let Obamacare die on schedule.....and staple the failure to Mrs. "We have to pass it to find out what's in it" Pelosi and the democratic party!

I was pretty positive that of the two major parties the Republicans were going to expire first......looks like I was wrong!

The repukes will probably be able to run against the Obamacare collapse fiasco for the next 20 years!
