Can you outline somewhat briefly what your best ideas are for healthcare in this country. How closely does it match up with Trumps proposal?

George Rebane

PaulE 308pm - While I've submitted my preferences for the conduct of our healthcare industry several times over the last decade, perhaps it's time to do it again. Let's continue the healthcare discussion on a future post that should be up soon.

Trumps Disgusting Russian Connections

Remember when Donald Trump was business partners with the Russian government and his company got 53 million from the Russian government investment fund called Rusnano that was started by Vladimir Putin and is referred to as "Putin's Child"? Oh wait that wasn't Trump it was John Podesta.

Remember when Donald Trump received 500 thousand for a speech in Moscow and paid for by Renaissance Capital, a company tied to Russian Intelligence Agencies? Oh wait that was Bill Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump approved the sale of 20% of US uranium to the Russians while he was Secretary of State which gave control of it to Rosatom the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation? Oh wait that was Hillary Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump lied about that and said he wasn't a part of approving the deal that gave the Russians 1/5 of our uranium, but then his emails were leaked showing he did lie about it? Oh wait the was Hillary Clinton and John Podesta.

Remember when Donald Trump got 145 million dollars from shareholders of the uranium company sold to the Russians? Oh wait that was Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

Remember when Donald Trump accepted millions in donations from Russian Oligarchs like the chairman of a company that's part of the Russian Nuclear Research Cluster, the wife of the mayor of Moscow, and a close pal of Putins? Oh wait that was the Clinton Foundation.

Remember when Donald Trump failed to disclose all those donations before becoming the Secretary of State, and it was only found out when a journalist went through Canadian tax records? Oh wait that was Hillary Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump told Mitt Romney that the 80s called and it wanted its Russian policy back. The Cold War is over? Oh wait that was President Obama.

Man... Trump's ties to Russia are disgusting."

Here's What Federal Regulations Cost Your Family This Year

Anyone who has ever traveled to Washington, D.C. knows that as majestic as the White House and the U.S. Capitol are, they are a mere fraction of the federal government. Alphabet soup departments like the EPA, IRS, VA, HHS, DOE, and others most Americans have never heard of, take up space in the capital and amount to a hidden regulatory tax on all Americans.

In fact, a new report estimated that if the costs of federal regulation flowed down to U.S. households, the average American family would pay $14,809 annually in a hidden regulatory tax. That's $14,809 in addition to income taxes, state taxes, and Social Security. $14,809 in addition to sales taxes, property taxes, and even estate taxes — where the government taxes you for being dead.

"That amounts to 21 percent of the average income of $69,629 and 26.45 percent of the expenditure budget of $55,978," wrote Clyde Wayne Crews, Jr., vice president for policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, in the report "Ten Thousand Commandments" released Wednesday.

European Union president flays Trump over reported decision to back out of Paris climate deal

"Juncker added that "we tried to explain that to Mr. Trump in [Taormina, Sicily, where the G7 summit was held last week] in clear German sentences. It seems our attempt failed, but the law is the law and it must be obeyed. Not everything which is law and not everything in international agreements is fake news, and we have to comply with it."

Juncker famously known for uttering the, "When it becomes serious, you have to lie" line!

Germany's Suddeutsche Zeitung accused Mr Juncker of “taking the lead on the deception” and warned he had managed “to fritter away the last remaining trust the people of Europe still have”.

Mr Juncker has never hidden his view that the compromises and deals being worked out in EU meetings or leaders or ministers need be protected from public scrutiny, by lies if necessary.

"When it becomes serious, you have to lie," he said.

In May 2011, he told a meeting of the federalist European Movement that he often “had to lie” and that eurozone monetary policy should be discussed in “secret, dark debates”.

He also sparked controversy by suggesting that the eurozone economic policy was incompatible with democracy. “We all know what to do, we just don't know how to get re-elected after we've done it,” Mr Juncker cynically quipped last year.

Screw the Paris Accords......Europeans don't even care about them it anymore! It was never anything other than a money grab from the gullible and deluded anyway!

Speaking of media for the first time MSNBC is #1 Monday thru Friday of all Cable TV Networks. The Top program in all on Cable News Mon-Fri is Rachael Maddow. that shows a big decline for fox which has ruled the TV airways for years. Fox still comes out on top on weekends when MSNBC runs non news feature programming.

"All MSNBC programs were lifted, but Rachel Maddow's topped all of cable news. Not only did it outrate every other program among adults 25-54, The Rachel Maddow Show scored an unprecedented victory among total viewers. For the first time in MSNBC history, the network had the 9 o'clock hour's biggest audience — an average 2.6 million viewers. (Maddow's win coincides with the first full month of FNC's The Five, the third show to air in the time slot this year after Megyn Kelly's exit and Tucker Carlson's move to 8 p.m.)"

Funny how the po' ol' fakenewsman pretends @ 622 that was the result of something msnbc did, it was the Murdoch kids forcing out O'Riley and Ailes. Bill was the anchor of the day that gave the rest of the schedule rollover audience. No Bill no rollover. The chatter about a new network coming together has momentum, Ailes had been in talks with the old gang. They were all at the funeral and the non-compete clauses are running out. Ailes ran out this month but Ailes #2 Shine is still in the mix.

Bad news for fox, msnbc, good news for us. ;-)

For once you nailed it Paul......yet another Trumpian miracle! MSNBC was just on the verge of needing to hold a garage sale to keep the lights on and along comes Trump and they're back in tall cotton!

He truly is a business genius!

Don Bessee

I was reminded that there is another factor impacting maddow's numbers and I am part of that cohort too. People like me who watch when something big happens that makes her arteries pop out and spit fly, we aren't fans but we are laughing our ass of. Can we say taxes anyone? ;-)

Paul Emery

Sure Don. Let me know when it's happening then we'll talk more about it.
Till then Rachel and MSNBC will continue to rule. Fox has pretty much lost their talent. Hannity will be next to go. Trump is slipping into the slime of polls and taking those who support him with him.

Trump follows the polls hourly and is obsessed by cable TV.

All for now.

A good night gift to the po' ol' pollhead; over 40% of poll respondents don't know were chocolate milk comes from. An unbelievable 7% thinks it comes from brown cows. ;-)

George Rebane

re DonB 1016pm - It has been known for centuries that public opinion is volatile. And since quantitative polling started, we have measured how volatile it is, besides all the other problems with extracting opinions, like lying to the pollsters. In our polling debates here I have not seen too much discussion/appreciation of this factor.

Bill Tozer

I have been polled twice in my life. Both lasted at least 5 minutes. First one was about Grey Davis vs that basketball player from Jersey, Bradley. Guess I still was on some old Democrat Party list. Around the time our Gov.and others were sending feeders out for the undeclared potential Dem Presidential candidates. Testing the waters. My, how fortunes change quickly. From Davis for President to Davis being swept out of office by Arnie and his supporters carrying brooms. But, I digress. Also included CA issues.
I would answer on the landline interview one question and purposely contradict myself on a similar nuanced question later. The pollster would remark "hmmm" now and then, probably thinking that don't seem right. On the California issue, when asked about the most important issue facing our State, I answered "property rights". Long silence. Shuffling of papers heard. The pollster said she could not find that on her list. So, I answered something else to throw her a bone.

The second time was local, about Transit in W. Nevada County. Do I like buses? Yes. Are they a good idea to relieve congestion and good alternative? Yes. Good idea. Do I support buses? Yes! How often do I ride the bus? Maybe once a year or less if my car breaks down. Been awhile, knock on wood.
Do I like trains? Yes! I love choo-choos. Everybody likes trains. They are cool. How often to I ride trains? It's been years. But I support trains and buses. Especially the Canadian Rocky Mountaineer. Great train. Last one I rode.

1). On a more serious note concerning the nefarious Deep State, Kusner the backdoor man, and related hanky panky, the Estonia Connection emerges from the shadows. The seeds of deceit and discord were sown in the Baltic State.

"There is another scenario as equally plausible as the one saying Team Trump, and perhaps President Trump himself, colluded with the Russians. It is that John Brennan himself colluded with the Russians to help Hillary win to guarantee his continued tenure as CIA director. It involves the infamous anti-Trump dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele, used by Brennan and others as a pretext for a Trump investigation bonanza.
Seeking to retain his position as CIA director under Hillary, Brennan teamed up with British spies and Estonian spies to cripple Trump’s candidacy. He used their phony intelligence as a pretext for a multi-agency investigation into Trump, which led the FBI to probe a computer server connected to Trump Tower and gave cover to Susan Rice, among other Hillary supporters, to spy on Trump and his people...

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/05/did_brennan_collude_with_foreign_spies_to_help_hillary.html

2) Heard a radio interview with Charles Krauthammer the other night. He said that Russia is behind the leaks concerning Backdoor Channel-gate. From the Russian Ambassador' s report straight to HQ in Moscow, back down into the press. In fact, Charles believes that Russia was behind several stories of Trump colluding with his bromance. Why? Why? Why? Because they are the best in the world, the Russian Ambassador's skills are unparreled in the entire diplomatic arena, and Putin is getting so much mileage out of each and every fakenews story about Trump colluding with the former Commie Bastards. He is playing us masterfully. Every new Breaking News cycle, be it Trump or some unmarked source, throws us in disarray and Putin wins everytime. Food for thought, albeit there are more moving parts than just the Muscovites. .

Why, why, why did the US based Russian diplomats cheer when Hillary choked big time? Dunno. Maybe because they knew our listening devises are just down the street, had the script pre-written,and they are the masters of disinformation. Maybe better than the proganda coming out of our departments of disinformation.

The Russians have all they need to blackmail Trump. You'd better believe they have his Tax returns and butt shots of his romps with Russian professional woman. An ugly sight I don't wish to see but you Trump swooners on this blog may like it.

PaulE 100pm - Paul, where do you get all these great thoughts and insights? Are they your own, or are you regurgitating something out of the Daily Kos or the like?

Just a reasonable assumption based on the way the Russians do business. The Justice Department raised the flag on Flynn being vulnerable for blackmail that caused him to lie to Pence and lose his gig. Why do you think Trumps playing footsie with Putin and wants to give him his American digs back that were his penthouse for spies and international gangsters.

And also doing the bidding of The Deep State, The Establishment, the evil corrupt controlling Corporatists.....everything Punchy rails against and finds to be antithetical to his Green Liberatarian Druid belief system. Opps. Be bad. Sorry. Let's keep it as our secret for the readers' amusement.

Now, let's see what the experts in academia have to say.

Punchy quipped the reason he lost his last fight as a boxer was because the ref stepped on his hand. Yo Punchy, that is why boxers wear gloves. Did you see birdies like in the cartoons? Or stars? Or both with black lightening bolts? If the ref was standing on "my hand", that could only mean one thing. The ref's foot and you were both on the canvas. Did the ref look like Putin? How many fingers did he have up? Probably just the middle one if the ref was a Commie from Red Square, a place in Moscow where Trump has a beautiful terrific hotel. Hmm. Trump, Putin, hotel closer to the center of Red Square than the Kremlin? It's all coming together. Yep, I see it clearly now. The Red Square is where Bernie spent his honeymoon. The Russians got some great pictures of the couple enraptured in connubially bliss...those Russian maids know how to spice things up.

Paul Emery

That's actually an old Bob Hope Joke Bill. Glad you enjoyed it. Do you doubt for a minute that Putin has a "book" on Trump? You can't be that naive or can you?

Gregory

"Just a reasonable assumption based on" ... nothing at all. "Critical Thinking" nowadays is less based on facts than it is making stuff up to fit the desired narrative and tying together unrelated factoids. I'd guess Paul is a devout Rachael Maddow fan; she pulls the same sorts of things out of her patootie under the guise of "what if". It's the same sort of rhetorical stunt that Glen Beck used to pull (is he even still alive?) and Alex Infowars pulls on a regular basis.

Watching Maddow recently led me to that conclusion; she was eerily reminiscent of Eric Cartman doing his Glenn Beck imitation.

George Rebane

PaulE 115pm - Based on no evidence at all, but a continuation of the Left's current manufactured hysteria, please count me among the "naive".

Bill Tozer

Naive? Guilty as charged. I forgot all about Golden Shower. How silly of me. There it was all this time just staring me in the kisser. I am a lowly worm. Yep, gotta get up pretty early to pull one over on Bob & Weave. But since we all know about Golden Shower, what is left to blackmail our President with? There must be more. Maybe Putin has Trump's tax returns. Racheal Madcow released some of them. She found them in Al Capone's vault, I am willing to wager.

Meanwhile, another layer of the onion had been pulled back.

A money quote:
If the only criminal activity is the sourcing of the leak, and the two people giving testimony are potential suspects in that criminal activity, then: A) How can we trust their testimony, and B) Why are we even having this hearing”? (with two people who are suspects in an ongoing investigation)

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2017/03/20/it-took-a-freshman-gop-congresswoman-to-pull-the-mask-from-fbi-director-comey/

George Rebane

What do we really have against President Trump save the hysterical, distraught, emotional, vicious, politically motivated, ... allegations, rumors, charges, accusations, ... that are issued with dollops of innuendo used in place of substantive evidence, especially evidence of any wrong doing by the targets of the politically disappointed, inept, and out of power of a party that has presented no program to take the country forward or introduced us to no new leaders who will carry their banners? Nevertheless, we are always happy to entertain in these comment streams corroboration from our progressive friends that the above assessment remains accurate.

Paul Emery

Anyone that does not believe that the Russians have tons of personal information about Trump and his associates are hopelessly naive and don't have a clue about international espionage. How can you possibly imagine they don't? Totally explains Trumps ass kissing and cuddling of Putin. Some might call it treason. Of course some of you might not consider Russia an enemy but that's another question. George, you of all people with your Estonian heritage should be especially concerned.

Definition of treason

"The betrayal of one's own country by waging war against it or by consciously or purposely acting to aid its enemies."

Don Bessee

What a maroon @ 1045. ;-)

Todd Juvinall

OK Paul Emery, supply the info. Or STFU!

George Rebane

PaulE 1045am - Existentially China is a bigger (potential) enemy than is Russia. Now how again do you see Trump acting to aid Russia TO THE DETRIMENT OF AMERICA?

But to give you credit, people of Estonian heritage have always been wary of Russians and view them with a distinctly gimlet eye. You may include me in that cohort. But as a student of history I also know that if goods don't cross borders, armies will.

Bill Tozer

Well Paul, you seemed convinced and there is zero chance that you will come to any other conclusion. So, why bother discussing it? You mind is set in concrete. The Russians "have tons of personal information about Trump" and we just don't have a clue. We are hopelessly naive. Far enough. Or we do not see Russia as an enemy. No other options available. No other possibilities. No grey, just all black or white? Opps strike that. The other option is to agree with you completely.

Paul, you could bolster your point of view by laying a few hundred pounds of that tons of evidence on the table for us to look at and see things the way you do. That would be helpful to you as well as the reader. Just trying to think of others.

A ton is 2,000 pounds. Surely you could put out a mere 500 pounds of the evidence on the table and hold back the lion's share so we can all become informed. How can we test your hypothesis otherwise? How can we be absolutely certain as you are? Help us come into the light, Paul. Please, help us.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=upD6cB9Rzvk

Bill Tozer

Wonder what set Paul off? At first I thought it was his comment about Trump reopening the Russian Consultants that Obama temporarily shut down at the end of his term in office. That really got Paul's goat. Maybe because the Russian probe is turning instead to the criminal activity and violations of the Espionage Act by the prior Administration. That really chaps his hide. A 5 second Google search turned up this. Aha! Paydirt.

"The Russia connections run wide and deep, and I do not believe it possible that there are any coincidences at play here. Even Rep. Schiff said in Monday’s hearing it was difficult to believe that all of these contacts and relationships are just coincidences. This administration is and has been in bed with Vladimir Putin, and it may be a slow trickle that takes months to unravel, but it will unravel.

Clearly, there are traitors in our midst. But they have all made mistakes, and one by one, they are going to get tripped up by them, and fall like a real-life house of cards.

Do tell fakenewsman @ 459. ;-)

Bill Tozer

Hold yer horses. From the Huff-n-Puff Post about those double crossing low life yellow bellied bushwacking Rooskies:

Money quotes:
1). WASHINGTON – The top Democrat on the Senate panel investigating Russian interference in last year’s presidential campaign said Sunday that a major unresolved issue is how the Russians knew which states to target to help President Donald Trump.
[“This is one of the questions we have to sort through,” Virginia’s Mark Warner said on CNN’s State of the Union. “It does seem strange, it appears, that Russian-paid Internet trolls who created bots were then able to put forward fake news, selective stories in a way that seemed targeted.”]

----Stop right there. I totally reject Senator Warner's premise. Completely reject the premise that this whole article is built on. Now we are to take the leap of faith and believe that the Russians not only influenced the outcome of the election, their agents and surragtes specifically targeted Wisconsin, Michigan, and Wisconsin?? What, did the Rooskies spread fake news stories saying Hillary hates steelworkers, ironworkers, the UAW, and those worker bees on the assembly lines? Targeted? What did they specially target in Ohio or Iowa or Florida? Her being thrown into the side of her van at streetside after she passed out? Her coughing fits that have continued to last week when Hillary addressed Wellsey? Her shrieking voice that is worse than fingernails on the blackboard? That Hillary called half her distractors Deplorable and the other half Irredeemable? Let's continue.

Ok, next we find out we where the honorable Establishment Democrat Senator got his talking points.

2). [Clinton in an interview last week also suggested that the Russians could not have known how to “weaponize” the emails they stole from the Democratic National Committee and from her campaign chairman, John Podesta, unless they had been helped “by Americans and guided by people who had polling and data information.”]
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-warner-russia_us_59342b03e4b075bff0f47059

Hmmm. What say you, Data Gurus? Was it Seth Rich, the DNC, or the Russians??

DNC Data Science Team Leader Therriault said in a tweet that the irony of Hillary Clinton’s bashing of the Democratic National Committee is that their data actually showed that Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were not safe, but “her team thought they knew better.”

Hmmm. Not safe, but Hillary's team thought they knew better. Yeah, drawing 300 folks to rallies should have been her first clue. And the Russians flooded the Mid-West from Ohio to W. Pennyslvia with agents with fake voter registrations I can't read the rest of this bull pucky. No wonder the fakenews parrots can't think straight. To be fair, Senator Warner got one thing right.

3). He added that while he knows of no iron-clad proof of collusion between Russia and Trump’s campaign, “there is a lot of smoke.".

Is that all there is to a fire? Just smoke?? Nevermind.

Paul Emery

Todd

Are you saying there were polls in Lincoln's Time? Amazing if you believe that.

Don Bessee

While they may not have had 'polls' back in the day they sure as hell had a lot of fakenews ya po' ol' fakenewsman @843. ;-)

Gregory

"How can you possibly imagine they don't? Totally explains Trumps ass kissing and cuddling of Putin. Some might call it treason."

You and the Dems are digging a hole for yourselves and between AGW/Paris and the Russians are Coming the Russians are Coming, it will not be easy to climb out of it.

You miss the point Gregory Follow the money. Why do you think Trump refuses to release his tax returns. Because he's being audited? You really don't believe that do you?

Here's a quote from Trump himself

"Reuters reported that a group of 63 Russia billionaires have invested nearly $100 million in several Trump properties in Florida. Donald Trump Jr. himself famously said in 2008 that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.” Donald Trump has maintained that neither he nor his businesses have any ties to Russia whatsoever:"

Donald Trump has maintained that neither he nor his businesses have any ties to Russia whatsoever.

George Rebane

PaulE 1008am - Your linked article does not go beyond the usual innuendos and allegations flung at the Trumps today. But you should also consider that the Russians' direct investment was most likely in a venture capital fund that aggregated monies from divers sources including the Russians. And it was this fund which invested in the Trump properties. Therefore, there was no direct investment by Russians per se. Such investments in venture funds is done all the time.

Paul Emery

Quotes back to back. I don't think your 10:20 reconciles this, These are not "innuendos" but direct quotes from Trump and in his own words.

“Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets."

"I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!"

Alao you write that "Russians' direct investment was most likely in a venture capital fund "what do you mean by "most likely? Do you have any verification to your assumption? --- links, anything to give your statement some credibility.

Bill Tozer

You are doing great Paul. You got 'em on the ropes now. Keep digging. There is no way that the Russian government could ever have influenced the election (and its outcome) without the help of Americans and our American expertise. Heck, the Russians can't even read data correctly. They need that good ole Yankee Knowhow. Hmmm. Isn't Trump a northerner, a damn Yankee? Yes he is and also possesses that good old fashioned American ingenuity ingrained in his DNA. Yep, Trump colluded with the Russian government. Heck, all those Russian playboy billionaires have partied down with The Donald. Donald made sure the drinks were flowing freely. And everyone of those lawless Russian Billionaire Playboys have selfies of themselves yucking it with their buddy Vlady Putin, the man who is trying to save endangered lions and tiger and bears, oh my. Paul, hop on that White Horse and bring the scoundrel Trump to justice. Keep uncovering, discovering, and discarding. It's all in those tax returns.

Trump has already announced that he released his tax returns. All of them. He e-mailed them to Hillary, but Hillary got sloppy and accidently BleachBited them after wiping her server with cloth....oh Grandma....and smashing her Blackberry with a hammer. Grandma! Bet she wishes she didn't do that. Everything would have turned out differently and this whole conversation would be a moot point. To which Bernie responded that he is sick and tired of talking about those darn e-mails. To which Lindsey Graham replied, "Bernie honeymooned in the Soviet Union and never left."

Here is a new twist on Wikileaks. The Podesta e-mails and the DNC e-mails made the news and delightful tongue wagging, but, but, but are the Dems floating the idea that what the Russians stole is something else? Something more damaging, something not talked about, something that could really help Trump win? I bet the Russians got the DNC data and all that top notch research they have been perfecting since Obama showed the way in 2008. That would explain why the FBI was denied access to the DNC computers and why nobody is talking about it. Afterall, who better at interpreting correctly the data and using it to his benefit than Trump? Trump the American. Putin and Trump, Trump and Putin. "Together we can!" The master showman. Had his finger on the pulse of the nation. Now we know why.

You got ''em staggering now, Paul. Time to deliver the knockout blow and stand on his hand. Keep digging, the buried treasure is down there. Getting
closer by the hour. Warmer, you're getting warmer....

They say the difference betweena rut and a grave is just the dimensions.

Paul Emery

Bill

How do you explain the contradictions in the Trump quotes I have cited?

Paul Emery

Bill

Can you cite a link verifying that Trump " has already announced that he released his tax returns. All of them. He e-mailed them to Hillary, "

Paul Emery

Bill, can you provide a link that supports your statement that "Trump has already announced that he released his tax returns. All of them. He e-mailed them to Hillary, "

Bill Tozer

Punchy @ 11:20 am.
Trump does not think like a politician. That is why you expect him to act like one and are immediately befuddled. Not a political bone is his body. Me? I just cut Trump loose and stand back and watch him go at it in the ring. You know, the bob and weave, rope-a-dope until Protest Fatigue sets in, then Boom, Boom, out goes the lights. You know. Geeze Paul, you of all people should be able to relate. You earned those Golden Gloves, you modest man you. Trump is sparing with you, silly. I am just in the stands...in the nosebleed seats. I love it when Trump gets into that Mike Tyson ear bitting off rhythm. Unconventional to say the least.

Here is a boxing joke for you....from a bygone era,
The fighter returns to his corner dazed and his trainer tells him he is doing great, "You got him now." The boxer is getting pummeled out there, but after each round his corner tells him he is doing great and really have his opponent reeling. "You got him now!" The boxer finally replied, "Well, you better keep an eye on the ref because somebody is beating the stew out of me."

You are doing great Paul!

George Rebane

PaulE 1102am - That Trump quote, even if it's real, doesn't contradict my plausible 1020am argument. Moreover, the reported investments were nine years ago, and investors put money and they take money out. Do you have any evidence that the Trumps are still (if they ever were) dependent on Russian money to run their businesses?

When it comes to plausibility, both of our assertions are equal.

Paul Emery

I'm sure Trumps Tax Returns would reveal that information George but ...oh well... Do you really believe that Trump won't release his tax returns because he's being audited?

That's a good one Bill. When Max Baer was ko'd by Joe Louis he responded when asked as to the reason he lost by saying "I forgot to duck" Trump is indeed a slugger but he takes a lot of punches and has no defense. Sluggers eventually go down hard. One notable exception was Rocky Mariano who quit undefeated. Archie Moore, a light heavyweight knocked him down in Rocky's last fight that caused him to give it up. That was an amazing fight. Rocky was hurt and down in the first round and couldn't find a way to penetrate Archies defense. He responded by hitting Archie in the arms till in the 6th round I believe, Archie couldn't keep his arms up anymore. The fight took it's toll on Rocky and he saw the writing on the wall and he retired undefeated.

Trump, being a slugger is taking a lot of punches and while he was able to slug his way into winning the election it remains to be seen how long he can take the punches he's absorbing.

Walt

Good GOD Paul. It sounds like you and Maxine Waters are dating.

One more thing. Trump isn't pulling any of that "Exec. privilege" crap that "O" relied on.

Now back to bed....

Paul Emery

I didn't vote for Obama second time around Bill. Did you vote for Bush second time?

Don Bessee

The fakenewsman challenging the credibility of other posters while po' ol' PE is in high TURDS mode is a great lunchtime giggle! ;-)

Paul Emery

Direct quotes from Trump Don. Are you contending they are fake?

Bill Tozer

, Geeze Paul. I already told you that Trump will not release his tax returns until his 2nd term. What, you got cotton in your ears? Probably around the 2nd year of his 2nd term I would say. Asking for any person to release something he does not have to is pure unadulterated overreach by oppressive Big Bro. Trump is fighting for the little guy. Bad enough they have been spying on individuals all along. Enough is enough. It interferes with Trump's pursuit of happiness and that stuff. Rights. Power to the people!

George Rebane

At the level to which journalism has sunk today, it would be imprudent to take any report, including direct quotes, at face value without considering the source, its record, and its agenda.

Walt

What? The high and mighty Lefty Sup. busted for DUI? Wow... the things one misses sometimes. And in a park where kids play no less. Let me guess.. The local LIBS are circling the wagons and making all sorts of excuses of why she should keep her job.

Walt

If there was anything in those tax docs that were dirty, they would have been leaked by now. The IRS is full of LIB vermin looking to stick it to Trump. But keep beating your head on that flat rock Paul. Lets see what cracks first.

Paul Emery

George

Are you suggesting that Trumps tweet that I cited might be fake? Also does your analysis also apply the the stolen emails that Wikileaks released concerning the
DNC?

Don Bessee

Uhumm, fakenewsman, since there is ZERO evidence regarding the DNC emails because they refused to let the FBI take a peek at the servers, how do you make such leaps ya po' ol' pollehead? ;-)

Paul Emery

So if there is no evidence that the stolen
DNC emails are real then what justification did Trump have in using them as part of his anti Hillary campaign. Can't have it both ways Don.

Gregory

Keep shoveling the road apples, Paul, there just has to be a pony in there somewhere.

Todd Juvinall

Pau; Emery 202PM

Seriously? The campaign is way over. Did you miss it? So having Comey testify without Trump forcing EP is still not enough for you? I bet you would drown the puppies if you thought the were Trump fans.

Paul Emery

Just making legitimate comparisons Todd of the veracity of media sources. George is questioning if direct quotes and tweets from Trump are real and I'm asking if the same argument should be applied to the alleged DNC emails that were stolen and published by Wikileaks and used by Trump in his campaign.

George Rebane

PaulE 126pm - That was a tweet you cited? Where in the article did it claim that? One of us must have missed something.

Walt

Paul. You still believe that Dan Rather's (proven FAKE) documents on Bush where real?
LIB news has a short memory. How many heads rolled with that fake news? Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. And that is what is happening today. Nothing to be found in Bush's past, so some were manufactured. The same game is now being played against Trump.
And you have taken the bait, hook, line, and sinker.

Enjoy being the Dan Rather of Nevada City.

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery 232

I am surprosed at you for claiming to know anything about the Wikileaks. John Podesta said they were real emails he allowed a PHISHERMAN to swipe. And the Rooskies and Julian Assaunge say the DNC were not stolen by the Rooskies. If you have information otherwise, please supply us all here. I will certainly apologize to you if you have that info and facts.

Bill Tozer

Walt. Roll over and look west towards the Buttes, north of Beale on that ridge closer to the Yuba. Fire out there. Yes, I know you face another direction. Well, that is not ironclad confirmed, but it's a great smoke signal if nothing else. Always a silver lining. Did you save me some of the hospital food? You weren't up to eating it anyway. :)

Gregory

"George is questioning if direct quotes and tweets from Trump are real"

No, he isn't. That was your misinterpretation.

"and I'm asking if the same argument should be applied to the alleged DNC emails that were stolen and published by Wikileaks and used by Trump in his campaign"

Alleged?

Slow down. Think.

Bill Tozer

Let's relive the election!!!

Wikileaks all in all was a nothingburger. All it did was embarrass Debbie Whatzername, some Clinton staff, Donna "I'm a Christian, I know what it like to be persecuted" Brazille, CNN, and some media types. All it did was piss off some of the Berniemaniacs, lay into 'the fix is in' narrative, and made the some look like the Keystone Kops. Some in the Fakenews media and the NYT were even unabashedly unaplogetic and darn right proud. Talk about houseboys?

Bottomline, Wikileaks did not even get close to laying a glove on HRC the candidate. It was those other e-mails from State that hurt her image. I can't imagine one "I'm With Her" supporter, not one straight party ticket voter, not one on the fence voter that changed their vote because of Wikileaks. That is not to say some Alt-Left folks may not shown up to punish the Dem Party or make a non statement statement, but all in all Wikileaks was just like watching Reality TV.

It was them other damn e-mails that confirmed every bad thing we thought about My Gal.
In hindsight, Chelsea's Momma was so stupid she couldn't win a rigged election.

Psssst, Paul. Closer. Got something to whisper in yer ear.

Oh, BTW, Donald Trump did carry metro Pittsburg. Must be those mid Western values Hillary used to talk about....against Obama in 08. Not so much in 2016.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/donald-trump-actually-did-carry-metro-pittsburgh/article/2624920

Boy Wile E Coyote. Everything he gets from Acme Rents just blows up up on him.

Paul Emery

Here you go George re:2:35

Paul Emery 10:08

Here's a Tweet from Trump

"Russia has never tried to use leverage over me. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!"
4:31 AM - 11 Jan 2017

Bill Tozer

Gotcha! Good one Paul. No wiggle room. As a token of my appreciation for you busting the Liar-in-Chief, I submitted your name into the running. CNN and MSNBC don't have a prayer with you in the race. Bring home the crown and the glory.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/06/05/cnn-and-msnbc-in-fierce-competition-to-win-insanely-anti-trump-crown.html

It's too early to say for sure, but TARD may be irreversible. Definitely progressive, but it will take more research and longer term studies to prove its irreversible. They still are working on BDS, albeit the worst symptoms have seemingly subsided over time. Sure, there are those PSTD flare ups, but not nearly as frequent as the BDS flashbacks once were.
Perhaps someday science will find the cure for Trump Derangement Syndrome, but that day does not appear to be arriving in the near future. Alas.

Don Bessee

The po' ol' fakenewsman does not get the concept that once Rich gave away the DNC emails and they went public they were fair game @202. ;-)

Todd Juvinall

BollT 329 should be memorized by Paul Emery. Paul is embarrassing if he thinks the Russians had anything to do with anything. And of course, all the released emails by Wikileaks were only democrat on democrat anyway. Perhaps the American people saw the pettiness and lack of ethics by the DNC though. Hey maybe the people really did get affected?

Gregory

From PE
"Russia has never tried to use leverage over me. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!"- POTUS

Yes, Paul. Now what is the evidence that Russia has tried to leverage over Trump, or evidence of deals, loans etc.

Be clear and concise.

Bill Tozer

So, how much did the Russian government loan to Trump? Not Russian businessmen who will pluck your feathers clean if you aren't a savvy player, but the Kremlin? Bet it was tons of rubbles. Mountains of rubbles I bet.

Paul Emery

Bill or anyone else

What do you think Trump meant when he said “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

You can either agree that he made that statement and speak to the apparent contradiction with his tweet or:
Claim that it's fake and made up or:
Say that it was once true but no longer has relevance because Trump sole his alleged asserts. or
You can avoid the question and make a personnel attack on me.

Multiple choice, Pick one.

Gregory

"What do you think Trump meant when he said “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

Which Trump said that, Paul, and money invested in trusts by individuals living in Russia... how would that be used against DJ Trump?

Paul Emery

Donald Trump said that Gregory. Here's a link to the Washington Post story

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/heres-what-we-know-about-donald-trump-and-his-ties-to-russia/2016/07/29/1268b5ec-54e7-11e6-88eb-7dda4e2f2aec_story.html?utm_term=.f58a1e0f7da4

Paul Emery

As a response to your 4:53 what is your speculation as to why Trump would lie about his Russian business connections?

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery is unhinged about Trump. Jealousy is not pretty.

Gregory

Which Donald Trump, Paul? Let me help you... it was Junior. And when? 2008?

How does individual Russian inwestors pouring some money into golf course developments a decade ago translate into Putin having leverage against DJT the Elder today, or conflict with the POTUS Trump's statement that "Russia has never tried to use leverage over me. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!". Cue the Final Jeopardy! theme...

Really, Paul, get a grip. Stop crying wolf. Think first.

Paul Emery

Gregory
So you believe Trump has no financialinterests in Russia. Fair enough. There will be more tomorrow. Bombshell time . All for me today.

Gregory

Paul, is that how you retract a bogosity? So, you admit that it wasn't Donald Trump the president that said what you claimed he said?

I've stated nothing about Trump's financial interests anywhere, nor do I particularly care until there's actual evidence of wrongdoing, but I do believe you're pulling chunks out of your arse. As far as Trump is concerned, you're batting .000 and have been for as long as we've been chatting about the 2016 election, well over a year.

"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow, you're always a day away".

I will await the promised bombshell, and your lack of explanation for all of the past bombshells that have been duds is noted.
