Good news Punch……there's travel in your future.

Russia to blast frozen dead people and pets into space…

…..and you get to bring your cat!

George Rebane

"My fear is if North Korea nukes us, Trump gonna get us into a war.", Maxine Waters (D-CA). NAACP should really pull the plug on her, and that other congressman (Hank Johnson, D-GA) who feared that Guam would tip over and sink from over-population.

[Correction] The Waters quote appears to be a fake -
that may have been fabricated from her comments to avoid war with NK at all costs -

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery thanks for the link but honestly you really are desperate to say what you said about what Eric Trump said about his dad. Here it is.

"“If they weren’t talking about you, you wouldn’t be doing something right and it’s important to keep it in context, otherwise quite frankly you’d probably end up killing yourself out of depression,” Eric Trump said. “But he’s doing a great job.”

Now please tell us all how you parsed this to make the claim you did? Really a stretch on your part. And the whole article was fine, you really have to have warped intellect to say what you said.

George Rebane

ToddJ 905am - great illustration of the genesis of fake news Todd.

Todd Juvinall

You are so right. When I hear the "both sides have good people" crap I think the same thing. Trump said that there were people there at the statue that were only there for that. They were who he was talking about. But the press morphed that into their fake news mantra that he is talking about the KKK and nazis.

George Boardman

The two Republican senators and 20 congressmen from Texas voted against aid for the victims of Superstorm Sandy because the money wasn't offset with dollar-for-dollar cuts in other domestic spending.

Do you think they'll make the same demand when it comes time to vote on aid for victims of Harvey? Probably not.

Posted by: George Boardman | 31 August 2017 at 09:40 AM

Probably not.

Bun Bun

Texans are paying the piper now with explosions at chemical plants and their cities and homes stewing in a toxic hydrocarbon soup. I wonder is they are still loving the idea of the Bakken pipeline bringing in more petrochemicals to be processed and shipped overseas while they have to live with the pollution?

The Gulf of Mexico is already half dead from pollutants washed down the Mississippi.

The good news is that the Mexicans are coming to save the Texans. I wonder if they will be able to make it across the border. Somebody call Trump!

Where is the Bush tribe holed up?

Michael R. Kesti

George Rebane | 31 August 2017 at 09:04 AM

I have found claims that this quote of Waters is a fabrication and I am unable to find a video of her saying it. Can you provide a link to such a video or any supporting and credible report?

Paul Emery

Would you as a "good person" march arm in arm with Nazi's and White nationalists?

Bill Tozer

Around and around it goes, where it stops nobody knows.

Things I did NOT post recently: re: fashion bug.

A) The story of Melania Trump wearing a ballcap with FLOTUS printed across the cap. Twitter was going at it. She was wearing a hat that is on The Donald's business website for profit, not for the Hurricane Harvey relief funds!!!!! GREED! Using the hurricane evacuees for personal enrichment!!!! The sky is falling.
Come to find out, President Trump's USA hat is indeed for sale on the site, not the First Lady's hat. Knockoffs can be found everywhere, including Craig's list.
Comments ranged from she looks darling to "why is she walking behind Donald Trump departing the helicopter?" "She wears that hat because she cannot remember what her name is". "She is behind him because she likes her nose up his butt" and in and on it goes. Not worth pasting links. No worth reading.

B) The story from the past when the fashion critics and us little people were so upset when Michelle Obama wore $495.00 snickers to pass out bags of food at a food bank. How inappropriate! Unseemingly. Tone deaf to the hungry' plight.
I forgot how petty things can get, even during the Obama years. BTW, Melania wore $60.00 Adidas to Houston, if you care. I don't and not worthy of RR.

2) Things I wished I posted, but did not, concerning the President and First Lady's visit to Houston and not getting mud of her stilettos.

And on and on it goes.......

Todd Juvinall

PE 954

Of course not. I haye nazis and the KKK. They are your ilk anyway and they are like you, full of hate. I try not to hate anyone. Why don't you try it? And would you march arm in arm with them yourself Paul Emery? You seem more like them than any Republican I know.

Todd Juvinall

My recollection about the votes on Sandy were this. The R's were making a statement that the PORK (earmarks) added to the bill and non-germane, needed to be removed before they would vote for it. So GeorgeB is spreading "fake news" as usual.

Todd @ 10:31

1) My recollection about votes on Sandy were this: Senator Ted Cruz (R-Tx) was opposed to Sandy relief bill because he pointed out specifically 2/3 of the funding contained had zero to do with the clear up, aftermath, or aid relief to those affected by Sandy.

2) Fish answered Boardman's question nicely.

3) Todd again. Perhaps a shorter answer to Punchy's question, "Have you stopped beating your wife yet", or more fundamentally, "Have you stopped tossing cute adorable puppies off the overpass?" @ 9:54am might be answered with a simple meme.

And on and on it goes.....

It's all speculation at this point. Like saying tax reform, or The Wall will never happen. "My concerns are blah, blah, blah, Putin will eat Trump's lunch because Trump has no foreign policy experience, blah, blah, blah. It will all come out in the wash. Probably so.

Todd Juvinall

Seems there is some confusion about definitions. The outraged libs say a "white nationalist" is a nazi.. I say maybe they mean a "white supremacist"? Anyone want to tackle that?

Michael R. Kesti

Todd Juvinall | 31 August 2017 at 12:41 PM

Wikipedia defines white nationalism is a type of nationalism which holds the belief that white people are a race and seeks to develop and maintain a white national identity. They define white supremacy as a subgroup of white nationalism whose adherents seek a white-only state because they believe that white people are superior to nonwhites.

Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 31 August 2017 at 12:41 PM

The outraged libs say a "white nationalist" is a nazi.. I say maybe they mean a "white supremacist"? Anyone want to tackle that?

Lets be honest….anyone who isn't in lockstep with Plan Proglodyte is, in their eyes, a Nazi. What you're seeing now is the utterance of terms not in common use (Alt Right, White Nationalist, Alt Lite, etc.) two years ago now being associated with Nazi in an attempt to stigmatize them. There have been many similar efforts in the past by the left, most recently associating the terms "Tea Party" and Tea Partier" with "Racist" and "Homophobe".

Don Bessee

Is anyone surprised that disgraced former FBI director Comey was drafting the exoneration of madam liar liar pantsuits on fire long before the investigation was over? It was also long before they had the sham interview of shrillary and her minions. ;-)

Bun Bun

Oh Donnie, Hillary is as pure as the driven snow compared to the chief liar and reality show president.

George Boardman

Once again, Todd shows his selective "recollection" of the facts in his 10:13. Try recollecting this:

After the Texas gang couldn't get dollar-for-dollar cuts in domestic spending, Cruz started claiming the bill was full of pork. If there was any pork in that bill, it was Republican approved pork because they controlled both houses of Congress then. I guess Todd didn't recollect that.

Then there was Chris Christie, who was vilified by his fellow Republicans for thanking Obama for acting so quickly. So much for bringing the country together when a natural disaster strikes.

Now I see the governor of Texas wants to start the bidding at $125 billion. Those independent, resourceful Texans can be mighty resourceful with other people's money.

Don Bessee

GB must be huffing his white out again, the senate was Dem in 2012. ;-)

Bill Tozer

Ben Emery once took great pains to educate posters here the difference between liberals and progressives. There is a true difference, but in general practice I lump them together. Likewise, I was curious to know what "Alt-right " meant after watching a clip of Milo on a campus appearance roll his eyes and politely told the questioner from the audience that he is definitely not "alt-right".

I posed the question to the readers here what Alt-Right means. I had been using the term loosely. Two readers posted this link...or a similar one.

The term gets thrown around loosely, as does Nazi, Commie, Liberal. The White Supremists and Black Supremacists believe, as did the Nazis, in the superiority of one race over other races.. Don't know about La Raza now. They use to be Supremacists.

In terms of what has happened in just the last 2 weeks alone, the Left has attempted to equate racists (or Nazis) with Trump with Trump supporters with anyone who voted Republican. If not a Nazi, then a Nazi/White Supremacist sympathizer. It gets all lumped into racism. Nazi is the new term for racism and vice versa.
The Left is making a strong push to make the word 'Republican' a supporter of racism, if not a overt racist. Hard to keep up.

Don Bessee

The 4 finalists for the concrete boarder wall prototypes have been announced and will shortly be building their designs in the San Diego area. The 4 see through prototypes are going to be announced soon. The test and evaluation period is going to be 6 months then the final designs will be chosen and built. ;-)

"I posed the question to the readers here what Alt-Right means."

It has changed quite a lot over time. At one point, it was thought of as a coalition of non-traditional conservatives, mostly internet based.

You can also see the difference in Wikipedia edits over the last couple of years. Wikipedia has it's own agenda of course.

It's a good catchy term, so you mostly see the White Nationalists co-opting it now. Depending on your point of view, those groups are either made up of the Caucasian version of the NAACP or are Nazis. A quick look at any essays they write should clear that up, although it's best to get your news from other people. I'm having a heck of a time finding anything written by Richard Spencer, but I'll cast around a bit.

Looks like GeorgeB is doing his fake news again. Since he supplied no links all he said was from his own noggin and at his age, not to reliable. My recollection is there was a lot of "earmarks" and wasted money having nothing to do with the damage. The Tea Party people were agauibst sopending the money on other things as listed in the bill. So GeorgeB, please if you are going to diss someone for not reporting something you deem correct, look in the mirror first.

Todd Juvinall

Here is one link that explains the pork laden Sandy bill. Read it GeorgeyB.

"The 4 finalists for the concrete border wall prototypes"

You would think that would have been an ongoing design problem, it isn't like there wasn't a bunch of walls and barriers built already, and you definitely learn more with usage.

I've had the impression that the Obama administration just gave a wink and a nod to any border enforcement, while throwing the odd raw meat to people who are actually in favor of existing immigration law. The business with 'increasing' apprehensions while merely redefining the word was a nice case in point. I suppose that the physical system of border control has been starved of funds for years.

A really useful set of articles would be ones written by now-retired BP officers about their experiences over the last 20 years or so. It might have been worse or better than thought and might actually be more accurate than learning about such things at Infowars or the Daily Kos.

As GeorgeR mentioned before, an effective system will be a combination of physical barriers, car barriers, sensors, human beings, communications...ie more and better of what is there already. The point of an exercise like that is to lower border crossings to a desired level, not to eradicate them. This business of building a 12 foot ladder for the 10 foot fence is pure sophistry, no system needs to be 100% tight.

re: Fish@12:54

"There have been many similar efforts in the past by the left, most recently associating the terms "Tea Party" and Tea Partier" with "Racist" and "Homophobe". "

Absolutely, but it does work to a large extent for rallying the troops. I always thought how unfairly and rather nastily the Tea Partistas were dealt with given that it appeared to be a group mostly made up of very well-meaning older people. I suppose it was a good education in political reality for a bunch of civilized middle-class people.

same as it ever was:

I think that the newish primary, and really important difference is the ages of the participants. Not only is there a very activist right wing of all flavors out and about, largely under 40, but I suspect you'll find that kids in high school (and before) have very different politics than their parents (lol. no surprise there).

Don Bessee

I wonder what's up with Milwaukee Sheriff Clark's resignation? ;-)

A good friend of mine is involved with these guys. He's on the road as I speak.

Where is Bill?? Word of caution my friend,, we will be working out your way fixing potholes. No extra points for taking out my laborers. Plenty of your road association members have tried extra hard this morning.

For your reading pleasure:

Trump now down 17 in the Conservative Rasmussen Poll. By far historic low polling. 30 point drop in Rasmussen since January. No end in sight as Trump can do no more than appeal to his core which is 26% according to Rasmussen-thats the "strongly support" numbers used to calculate core support. This is the most conservative poll and the one Trump used to brag about. Hope he doesn't see it. Could cause depression and whatever according to his son

Paul Emery

To hear the interview with Trump Jr where he expresses concern about his dads depression and potential suicidal tendency go here

Well now, this is interesting. And not a thing you'll see in the local paper.

My group that consists of the "road association" has not met for a few years. It's voluntary, which means take care of the part of road that is on your property....if you can. To me, that means a lot of thinking about how to fill a pothole and knocking down the grass along the lane no later than June 1st. You must be working for a real association with rules and by-laws, lol. Technically I am on a public road, so let the county do it...in my dreams. Ah, they probably would get lost. Don't have no signs up, take your best guess...on how to find your way out of here. I might drive around Melody looking for some flag people. Add them to my collection of the white silhouette stick " family" on the rear window, just like a white family does. :).

Here's a bit of followup on Heidi Hall's 0.22 breathalyzer reading... someone with a pilot's certificate apparently has to submit a substance abuse evaluation if it's .15 or higher. That will require you to locate a licensed counselor in substance abuse/dependence, or a psychologist or psychiatrist who has extra training in addiction medicine, and be evaluated. Depending on the results of the evaluation, you may be required to provide even more extensive (and expensive) evaluations. If your breathalyzer is less than the 0.15 percent, then you may need to do nothing else.

In short, the FAA seems to think that if you blow over .15%, you're a habitual drinker until proven otherwise.

Supervisor Hall's BAC is nearly 50% over the .15% limit for not having to really bare your soul to someone expecting you've been hiding that drinking you've been doing. Of course, she's not flying an airplane. How much has she been drinking during the day...? Before voting as a Supervisor?

Local artiste Judith Lowry believes Hall to be a lady and has never seen her drinking to excesss... isn't that special?

Oh, and until further notice if you've blown over the legal limit, your FAA medical certificate is effectively and immediately suspended until the FAA reinstates it, and the pilot is required to volunteer the information to the FAA within a few days of the arrest.

Paul Emery

Yeah Gregory she was pretty juiced. She's experiencing the consequences. Still Supervisor though for another 3 years and likely to be jpined by another blue type next year.

I know your out in that general aria. But you already have a good idea where I am going to be. Good job Sir,, good job.
And the signage is up at the road saying "we will be jumping out in front of you".
Be sure to say high as you flip us the bird as you fly by. (got a few of those today as we put the tack oil down.)

George Rebane

Sounds like the Left is either approving or ignoring Supervisor Hall's drunk-as-a-skunk behavior. But Melania wearing stilletos onto AF One, and tennies in Texas, is a mortal sin that had to be hoisted to the top of every flagpole in the land. And some backwoods intellects still deny the Great Divide?

Punchie 440, be honest, if the .22 was from a non-left liberal (or worse, a card carrying conservative Republican) your friends would be hounding them from office.

"Likely" to be joined by another blue meanie or Paul Emery really wants her to be joined by another bluie? After all, it's a split down the middle county, Paul, and Hodge is running against a seemingly popular incumbent whose nose seems pretty clean.

Paul Emery

Not ignoring her behavior George. My 4:40 does neither. Just using the "Still Supervisor tag to imitate the Trumpsters on this blogs general denial of the consequences of Trumps pathetic and historical standings in the polls. Still President Trump...Yes Still Supervisor Heidi...yes.

What a difference between the appearances of our First and Second Ladies in their Texas showings. At least the Penses do a little symbolic work instead of just landing in full fashon and bragging about the crowd.

Stephen Munkelt really does seem to be a busy criminal defense attorney in Nirvana Cilly. The go-to guy from murder to DUI.

But of course, even a murderer, not to mention a public servant Driving While Pickled, deserves effective courtroom legal representation.

So Trump is down in "your" polls Paul. BFD, and WTF?? Low polling has yet to be criminal, unlike swilling and driving.
But HAY! Shrooms is the next legalization attempt. What say you? ( "there is a GOD"??)
Then what next for mind altered? Cross bread those "LSD" toads with earth worms? We know who will be all over that.

Paul Emery

Down in "All" polls Walt. RCP averages combine all credible national polls even conservative ones such as Rasmussen, Fox and IBD/TIPP.

Don Bessee

The po' ol' party parrot is just intimidated by FLOTUS @ 509. ;-)

Again. SO WHAT!? Not a crime. Can't impeach on low polls.
Yet you make excuses for someone who acts like a Kennedy.

Paul emery

Can you tell me what excuses I made ?

George Rebane

Equating the politics of Trump with a 0.22 DUI. Oh my.

A pilot on a list I posed the question to responded:
"Pilot would be done flying.
Had a local guy get first offence in NY that was felony level, .21 as I
FAA yanked ticket and said don't bother trying to get a new one.
They don't mess around with dependency."

She was probably well over .08%, the legal limit, when she drove to the Condon Park event in the first place. The apology that included the claim she thought she was safe to drive home really wasn't quite enough.

Don Bessee

Pass the po' ol' pollhead some Russian dressing please. ;-)

Todd Juvinall

Tell me if I am being too harsh to this old biddy that called me a nazi. LOL!

"Claudette Paige Golly where do I begin? Hmmm. Well, it appears you really have no clue about the things you post and you were the primary name caller and accuser here. I responded and like all liberals you cry and whine and run away to momma. No, I have little use for you and your divisive discourse honey. In fact I have never heard of you before you attacked me so viciously. I have a decent reputation here in the county. I have been involved in many things. Yet I still can't recall you or anyone in any of the local organizations knowing you. If you want to accomplish local detente, I suggest you stop yapping. Even your so-called detente here is just a load of sarcasm.
And if you say you are not a communist/liberal/antfa lover, then I suppose I have to take your word on that. Your writings conflict with that however so maybe you need to hone your skills in what things mean.
As a builder, now retired after 60 plus homes, and a two-term stint at local government, I am certainly way more qualified to speak on what it takes to get the housing problems fixed. However, I have seen too many people try and then the NIMBY's charge out and attack their projects and call those poor people nazi's. Are you a NIMBY? Sounds like you might be.
You say "predictable complaints" about fees etc., and I say well? That is the reason. You have any ways to make it happen? My guess no. As a person that has been involved in my community since the 70's when I became aware of the tyranny of too much government and lousy citizen initiatives, I have fought many battles against people that think like you. You are not unlike all of them. And as an elected Republican Central Committee member and Chairman in the 90's I can tell you I have a lot of folks that agree with me. So nope, I have no interest in you or your ideas. Liberal are wrecking the place and must be confronted at every election and every letter and every comment they make. Free speech honey.

Boardman is complaining about TX wanting fed dollars to rebuild.
Remember that Obama handed GM 54 billion of tax payer funds (never to be repaid), as well as absolving GM of money owed to folks killed by defective GM cars, as well as screwing bond holders out of money from what they were owed by law. Of course, what are laws to Obama?
GM did it self in by mismanagement, not some disaster. And it was a company, not an entire state.
Maybe Texas should not get fed govt money. Fine. Boardman might want to consider what that will cost the fed govt. One might want to consider a sudden drop in funds flowing from TX to DC not because they don't want to pay, but because they can't. TX is a huge generator of wealth in so many ways far beyond just oil.
Did Boardman post here complaining about Obama handing GM 54 billion due to incompetence?
It's really something to see the lefties piling on about TX. So much for empathy and open handedness and coming together. All I see is "screw you".
I wonder if any of these left-wing wonders realizes what percentage of TX is not white? I do believe I haven't seen this much hatred towards non-whites since the last KKK rally. Keep it up - Trump will appreciate the help in getting re-elected next time.

Bill Tozer

Gut level full disclosed:
My last DUI was in the late 80's or 1990. Back then, if you blew over 1.6, it was as an enhanced charge/penalty, don't know about today. Also it was .1 BAC for a DUI...if memories don't play games on me.

They charge ya with a DUI AND also charge you with driving with a BAC over .1 (.08 nowadays). That was my experience. So, they usually drop the DUI charge, and hit ya with the other charge if you cop to it. I opted for the blood test when arrested to buy time. They took me to the hospital to draw blood and we had to wait an hour, Busy night. That dropped me to 1.6, (without knowing at the time) . Also, I attended the last county run drunk program in CA. Busted on Thanksgiving eve, enrolled in class in late December, and on Jan 1st the drunk driving schools became state run and uniform, no matter who facilitates it. Just in the nick of time. School was at night, 2 hours a week for 6 weeks, 130 bucks or to enroll. Only requirement was you could not show up to class drunk, lol. Actually, no drinking 6 hours before class. Not everyone could do that, but you could do a makeup class. I did.
I was arrested (driving normally for me) for running a GVPD off the road at the intersection of Mill St and Main St. My right turn almost hit the squad car head on. I rode in the back of that car that night.

Point is, I probably did not draw too many sober breathes for quite awhile back then, and I know I did not approach a 2.2. Just saying.

Gregory MAY be correct on his "maintance drinking" theory. I didn't even think I that drunk the night I finally got popped cause it felt normal. Maintance drunk.. BTW,, it was 7 years 3 weeks between DUI's, so I was charged, like HH, as a first offender. There were a couple thousand times I did not get popped in between.

Today, if asked by a hospitiable host if I would like a drink, my standard reply is "No thanks, I had enough." Short and sweet. And a measly DUI or two did not stop me from drinking.....not by a long shot, but I digress. Pain is the touchstone to growth.

Bill Tozer

Yep, decimal points got put in the wrong places. You can move them for me in your minds. ,16, .17, .22.

I wonder if Paul remembers what the polls said BEFORE Trump was elected? We know what old age does to memory.

Paul.. This may be part of your polling problem.

Paul Emery

You're right George. The damage done by Trump to other human beings and the environment is far beyond that of anyone with an alcohol problem. Thanks for noting that George.

Here is a REAL poll(of sorts) for ya' Paul,, Kellogg's is (and soon to be "was")
a Trump hater like you.
The people voted with their wallets in this instance.

"The damage done by Trump to other human beings and the environment..."
Proof Paul?
Say - does abortion damage a human?
Not like Paul has the intelligence to answer.
But I always throw a dog a bone.
We'll see.

Don Bessee

Ah, the stench of Russian dressing is back, it must be a po' ol' fakenewsman.

How does the Russian state oil company seeing an 80% drop in profits behind the administrations energy policies fit with your po' ol' party parrot narrative?

You got to get the salve for that ugly infection @736. ;-)

Paul Emery

Trump was a supporter of abortions till recently.

Don Bessee

You aren't ya po' ol' fakenewsman? ;-)

Paul Emery

I support a woman's right to choose Don. I don't support late term abortions.

Don, do you believe in the sanctity of life at conception?

Bill Tozer

Aha! My hypothesis that the Dems are distancing themselves from Antifa and dropping them faster than they dumped Cindy Sheehan after Camp Casey closed is gathering more evidence. The Dems' internal polling must show Antifa is pulling them down. The broad brush paints on both sides. Pass the word. Antifa is toxic. Make sure the Huff-n-Puff Post gets the memo.
A nice sunny Berekely weekend in the park exposed that when are no Nazis or Klansmen or White Supremastics around, Antifa beats on peaceful citizens holding a prayer meeting. Pull the plug.

First The Mayor of Berkeley, then Nancy, Queen of Botox, and now hell hath froze over:

“Antifa activists’ deeds hardly promote the moral clarity necessary to isolate right-wing hate groups. Over time, such violence only benefits the very forces antifa purports to oppose. In terms of objective political impact, the group is badly misnamed: ‘Profa’ would be more accurate.” —Washington Post editorial board
Bonus points:
“It’s remarkable in retrospect how much people freaked out about the Tea Party, which had no organized violence to speak of.” —Washington Free Beacon’s Alex Griswold

Pssst: internal polls are not National Polls, FYI. A topic for another day.

Paul Emery

do you believe in the right of a woman to use day after pills?

Bill Tozer

News Flash! President drops to 36% in just two months, now 3 points below Trump!

Bun Bun

Oh Walter, try to relax.

George Rebane

PaulE 736pm - So that's what you conclude and would print or broadcast as news based on my 604pm? Is that what fake newsmen do?

Paul Emery

Your 8:55 post is factually wrong. Reagans job approval Sept 1981, same time frame as Trump today, shows him with a 51-37 edge not an approval of 35% as Newt contends.

from Paul Emery - who works for the local radio station in Nevada City - "The damage done by Trump to other human beings and the environment is far beyond that of anyone with an alcohol problem."
So I asked him a simple question.
"does abortion damage a human?"
And Paul Emery is so cowardly and frightened of what his so-called 'friends' will think of him, he refuses to answer.
Instead, he posits a position that -"Trump was a supporter of abortions till recently."
That's not what I asked you, Paul.
What a pathetic and miserable little creature you are, Paul.
It doesn't matter what your opinion is on abortion but the fact that you are too frightened and cowed to tell us what your thoughts are.
How much fear and loathing controls your life. Too afraid to be honest and let others in on what your view of life is.
I feel very badly for you. You have often shown hatred towards those whom you don't understand and generally deflect all questions away from direct answers.
All I can say is that I ask you to refrain from drug use and try to get help with your inability to be honest about your values and world view.

Paul Emery

OF course I was being snarkey George but it was you that begged the comparison.

Bill Tozer

Punchy @9:15 pm

Your 8:55 post is factually wrong."

Your reading comprehension has not improved with time.

"First, President Reagan had a similar period during his first term when his approval rating fell to 35% — even lower than President Trump’s"

Boy, I knew you would read the white on the page and not the black. You walked right into that one. This is too easy, and way too predicable. Not even fun anymore. Boring.

Now class, let's try it again and this time with focus.

Paul Emery

Okay here's my view on the topic.

I believe in a womans right to choose but I don't believe late term abortions after 20 weeks unless they are necessary to same the mothers life. Touchy subject about when we become a "human being" that we may not agree on.

Do you believe that a "human" is created at conception Scott? If not then when?

Paul Emery

The post is factually wrong because you cannot make that comparison because Trump has not been President that long. Jeez Bill you're dense. there is no historical precedent for this low of an approval rating in the first year. To compare Trump with Reagan at the same time frame produces the results I cited.

Bill Tozer

Dense? Alas, you can up with something new.

Now why are you so defensive? The link from the former college history professor was not addressed to you, nor did I make any claims to dispute your National Polls. If anything, it was a reminder to the reader than another President had low numbers in his first term. As you know, it took President Reagan over two years to get his tax reform through, so I reckon that would make Reagan the Liar-in-Chief. Yes, that last sentence was indeed directed at you....in case you are that dense.

Not everything is about you. Not every one's opinion about polls is about you. Whatever point you were making about Trump's numbers, I have not a clue. I simply skip over your copy and pastes as well as your links provided 90% of the time...to this hour. Thus, I see no point of contention with what Newt wrote and whatever timeframe you were citing in a post I did not read.

One thing I like about Newt is he was born an optimist. Just the way he crawled out of the womb. Reagen was the same way, so it's only natural the former college professor would give the reader a brief history lesson about another optimist. As Newt would and did say to conclude his brief commentary.....

"Then relax and enjoy the nonsense knowing it is just that: nonsense."

Never get tired of winning. It becomes a habit after awhile. Nightly night to the gloom and doomers. Too hip, gotta post one for Walt to see tomorrow.

Bill Tozer

Yo Walt

Debbie has friends in high places. Still, she really, really, really wants her laptop back really really bad. Make of these innuendos and anonymous sources what you will. I just report the news.

The Green Libertarian Army comes under some scrutiny.

Green Libertarian Spokesmodel speaks out

Excitement in Old Blighty, gob smackingly surprising to everyone involved

Comey Investigation Flowchart.

Perhaps there *is* a bit of public interest. Dunno.

The GOP gets involved a little bit.

Last story, but interesting if you care about Google market dominance and it's effect on speech.

ooop, just one more tiny thing. I just loved this turn of phrase I hadn't seen before:

"irregular migration"

It's funny how language can be tortured to produce the desired result.

Paul Emery

Sorry it's difficult for you Bill to handle a detailed response to your bladder I'll Try to be more considerate. I didn't think you cared much about polls but you are a pole watcher going back to the time of Reagan That's good will have lots to talk about

Paul Emery

That's blather not bladder but that works as well

Bill Tozer

Punchy @ 6:56 am

Oh Punchy. If you are sorry, then of course I will forgive you. I forgive you not for the transgressions you have committed, but simply because that is the kind of guy I am. No worries. We all make mistakes......some more than others.

Once again, we see Paul won't answer a direct question.
I should have known.
But of course if you don't answer his questions, he will badger you.
Just rude and arrogant, I guess.

Paul Emery

Got some more polls for you Bill From the conservative Fox Poll:
The Poll found that most Americans think the 45th president of the United States is an unstable bully.

Respondents were asked how well certain words described the president. For “bully,” 39 percent chose “extremely,” 14 percent chose “very” and 20 percent went with “somewhat.”

For the word “unstable,” 33 percent selected “extremely,” 11 percent chose “very” and 16 percent agreed with “somewhat.”

Just 27 percent said he was “not at all” a bully while 38 percent said he was “not at all” unstable.

Polls showed that 56 percent of respondents said Trump was “not at all” presidential, 55 percent said he was “not at all” a moral leader, 53 percent said he was “not at all” compassionate or steady and 50 percent said he was “not at all” honest.

Here's the link
