Cal-3 is going to be on the November ballot. WaPo reports that “On Tuesday, the California secretary of state confirmed in a memo that Draper’s Cal-3 campaign attained enough valid signatures to earn a spot on the ballot Nov. 6. After more than 150 years of failed partition proposals, California voters will finally go to the polls to decide whether they want to relinquish their monopoly of the Pacific coast and become three new states.” Venture capitalist Tim Draper’s old plan to cut California into six more ideologically cohesive pieces has been slimmed down with some apparent success. No matter its fate at the polls, the proposition confirms again what RR has maintained over the years while vehemently being denied by the state’s Left – especially our lightly read locals. People do want their voices heard by their government, and people do want to live with others whose values and mores are more than less like theirs. Such existential diversity is anathema to the one-size-fits-all Left.
The Left’s campaign to enlarge national dumbth gets a boost from NYC’s mayor deBlasio reports Jason Riley in ‘The Attack on Educational Excellence’. deBlasio wants schools with entrance test requirements, for which Hispanics and blacks are historically poorly prepared, to revert to the racial quota system, all in the name of “diversity”. “In the upside-down thinking of affirmative-action advocates, academically rigorous schools should be more focused on achieving racial balance and less focused on maintaining high standards. Asian displays of academic excellence therefore become problematic. Asians are somehow to blame for outperforming others, and they are to be punished for the historical injustices that blacks suffered at the hands of whites.” Occam’s rationale for deBlasio’s call to eliminate entrance tests is simply that ignorant minorities are easier to keep disgruntled on the plantation where their attitudes and votes can be readily manipulated.
Trump in Singapore. Well, it turns out that it was really the media experts who were expecting a single-shot breakthrough at this week’s summit. Leading up, they blamed Trump for expecting too much from the meeting, while Trump was telling the world not to expect much more than it would be the “potential” beginning of conversations which no other world leader had been able to launch with the North Korean dictators, while allowing them to become an ever bigger danger to world peace. Now the Monday morning quarterbacks are decrying the President for not walking out with a definitive world-shaking treaty that in one swell foop rid the Ugly Fat Kid of his nuclear capability and made him into a well-behaved leader enjoying a recent epiphany on human rights. Demonstrating that their Trump Derangement Syndrome knows no bounds, these self-pumped pinhead pundits are now manufacturing hypotheticals about all kinds of imagined bad things yet-to-come, and getting a jump on criticizing the President for those. (Here is an example from the auto-profound Council on Foreign Relations. The myriad pronouncements on the lamestream are too silly and stupid to even consider.) Meanwhile, Trump continues to tell all that the process has just started, and no one has given away anything to anyone – i.e. going forward we will trust AND verify.
[14jun18 update] The 500-page DoJ’s IG report on Hillary’s email server investigation has apparently been seen by select eyes only, and is promised to be made public later today. From early and conflicting reports by sources such as AG Sessions, Rep Trey Gowdy, and the WSJ, it is unclear what kind of political bias IG Horowitz found or did not find. The congressman concludes what most of us witnessed over the last two years, that the FBI’s treatment of Hillary and Trump have been profoundly asymmetrical. Yet the WSJ reports, ‘DOJ Watchdog’s Clinton Report Finds Mistakes by Comey, No Political Bias’. We can hardly wait to discover what kind of hoops the IG had to jump through to come to that conclusion. An early and perhaps premature assessment is that the Deep State is fully engaged in defending itself.
[later] Well, the 568-page hernia pack is now out for all to read, and it’s a doozer (download pdf here). The report documents in exhaustive detail the prima facie bias expressed throughout the months of the FBI’s investigation of both the Trump and Clinton campaigns. It hauls Comey, Lynch, McCabe, Strzok, and others over the coals, and then, and then, … FBI Director Christopher Wrey goes in front of the cameras this afternoon and does a reprise of Comey’s 5jul16 bullshit performance exonerating Hillary. Wray goes through the exact same arguments of the damning evidence the IG’s investigation uncovered, and then announces a jaw-dropping conclusion that there was no hint of political bias shown by the investigators or during the course of the investigation – simply unbelievable how the man could keep a straight face delivering that copy.
Wray’s message essentially acknowledged that the FBI screwed up from start to end, and "we’ll hold people accountable", but the organization itself remains as untainted as ever and was not harmed by at least 18 months of continued incompetence and blatant documented bias. Somehow screwing up the biggest investigation the FBI has had in decades should make no never mind in the minds of Americans.
More revealing were the sober, detailed, and very frank assessments delivered by House chairmen Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Bob Goodlatte (R-Va) on Bret Baier’s FN Special Report. Both men were incredulous of the way that the Deep State was now defending itself. It’s worth watching this exchange here on YouTube.
IG Report: Ok, spin it that way. Let’s just agree to disagree. No wonder Trump called CNN not just fake news, but very fakenews
1) From CNN 6 takeaways from the IG Report:
“The inspector general's report Thursday solidified that Clinton had not intended to break the law with her handling of classified material on her private email, by exhaustively detailing the steps of the investigation.
Despite other issues with Comey, the IG signs off on his ultimate conclusion that Clinton should not be charged.”
2). From the IG report:
“Comey’s unilateral announcement was inconsistent with Department policy, usurped the authority of Attorney General, and did not accurately describe the legal position of the Department prosecutors,"
I report, you decide.

IG and the tale of two investigations: Money quotes:
What the IG often terms “improperly” would be considered “illegally” for most Americans.
FBI and DOJ attorneys cynically predict that investigations and their results will be predicated on the reality of an existing Obama presidency and a preordained Clinton continuance. Trump’s supporters are trashed as smelly idiots, little more than feces. Redaction is exposed as an FBI/DOJ juvenile and clumsy ruse to protect the embarrassing and biased communications of those supposedly conducting “unbiased” investigations. Un-redaction reveals revolting gossip and puerility, not as once claimed confidential investigative methods or matters of national security.
Comey’s FBI is the mirror image of Mueller’s special-counsel investigation: Both have the same objective to subvert Trump, but the means to achieve such a shared end are flipped, given the different circumstances.

Oh, this one is better than the last one.
The question is not whether every Clinton-case decision was defensible considered in isolation; it is whether the quality of justice afforded to two sides of the same continuum by the same agents at the same time was . . . the same.
It wasn’t. One was kid gloves, the other was scorched earth. The candidate they hoped would win got the former; the candidate they needed to “stop” got the latter. The candidate they were almost certain would win got the case dropped; the candidate they needed an “insurance policy” against . . . well, whaddya know — the case against him is still going . . . and going . . . and going.

Team 0 does what team 0 does and thinks it matters -
The FBI will make its employees undergo bias training, Director Christopher A. Wray promised Thursday, after a devastating report found the bureau made bad decisions, has a culture of leaking sensitive information, and may have skewed campaign-season decisions because of bias.
New text messages released by the Justice Department inspector general showing conversations between Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok and paramour FBI lawyer Lisa Page suggest a deep anti-Trump sentiment.
In one exchange, Ms. Page wanted reassurance that then-candidate Donald Trump couldn’t win the election. Mr. Strzok replied: “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.”
The inspector general also said the FBI was rife with people leaking to the press, or holding other cozy relationships that should worry the bureau. Some employees accepted sports tickets, went on golf outings, or had their dinners paid for by reporters.

The word is out many are going to be hauled in to testify.
Strzok needs to be put on suicide watch..For his own protection.

Not related to the IG report....but the other side of the two pronged attack. The Russian Collusion Delusion.

Now, the other side of the prong, the IG report. If this is what they were saying on their work phones, imagine what they were saying on their personal phones...or in person.

Think I read this somewhere else like on the Sandbox, but it definitely belongs here:
“An FBI agent joked about how a witness who lied in the Hillary Clinton email investigation would never be charged, according to a Justice Department inspector general report released Thursday.
The witness had obviously lied to the FBI about handling sensitive information, the agent told one of his colleagues, but it didn’t matter, because regardless of what the Clinton associate said, the FBI wasn’t going to do “sh-t” about it. Here’s the exchange:
FBI Employee: “boom…how did the [witness] go”
Agent 1: “Awesome. Lied his -ss off. Went from never inside the scif [sensitive compartmented information facility] at res, to looked in when it was being constructed, to removed the trash twice, to troubleshot the secure fax with HRC a couple times, to everytime there was a secure fax i did it with HRC. Ridic,”
FBI Employee: “would be funny if he was the only guy charged n this deal”
Agent 1: “I know. For 1001. Even if he said the truth and didnt have a clearance when handling the secure fax – aint noone gonna do sh-t”
The agent has since told investigators he doesn’t recall......

Finally. What was Obama’s role, what did he know, when did he know it, and does he know he does not know it?

After careful thought,, splitting into three is a bad idea.
That's just two more states that will add Progressives in DC.

Walt, right. Four more Senators like the two you've got and we're all screwed, tho it could start a trend. Divide AZ in two, MT in two and we're even. This game could work out for conservatives, but very iffy. L

Kissinger is now 94 years old.
Recently, Henry Kissinger did an interview and said vary amazing things regarding President Trump. He starts with: “Donald Trump is a phenomenon that foreign countries haven’t seen before”.

I was right. Comey is only interested in what’s good for Comey, for his career, for what’s best for him.
Rewriting laws on the fly in real time, choosing to disregard laws and standards on a whim, doing everything in his power to have Hillary unscathed and them frame Trump to protect their own necks. Opps, I said everything in his power. He exceeded his power, his authority.
Obama lied to us all, saying he had no idea about HRC using a home brewed served as he was e-mailing her on the server.
Comey is under now investigation for his handling of classified materials, after saying Clinton should get a pass and pulling the “intent” card out of thin air.
The unmasking of hundreds of US citizens. Hundreds. Hundreds. Let that sink in. Illegal unmasking at that. Nothing to see here, no consequences.
“It is tiring to hear sermons about the integrity of the FBI and DOJ, as if their elite leadership in Washington has no more influence over an organization than a general does over his army. Of course, the vast majority of employees in the field are both competent and just. But too many of their Washington leaders see themselves in grandiose terms, as subject to no law other than the demands of their own egos.”

The prior administration did more to attack, affect, and interfered with an US election than anything any foreign power could ever dream of accomplishing. It was not Collusion, it was a Conspiracy at the highest levels of government, The FBI was just the enforcement arm with the hammer. The real stink, corruption, lawlessness, and conspiracy goes much higher up the chain...to the top.

Linguistic gymnastics.
“Stranger still, Comey asserted his ignorance of the Weiner-Abedin marriage in an Orwellian manner: “I don’t know that I knew that [Weiner] was married to Huma Abedin at the time.” Translated, that means Comey claimed that he was not sure at one point that he was sure at another point that Weiner was married to Abedin, at least at the time when the emails came to his attention. Therefore, he did not act as he should have.”
