[A reader alerted me to another gem of the FUE's logic. He takes to task those who criticize the People's Republic of Kalifornia, and still (gasp!) take their leisure at the state's awesomely scenic locales. The man's brain cannot separate terribly gone wrong social policies from the state's natural beauty, as if eschewing one requires rejecting everything that is still good about the state, and that mainly because the progressives have yet to eliminate the last vestiges of such enjoyments (e.g. denying/limiting public access to TBD 'wildlands'). This thinking by local lefties is replicated in Sacramento, because those are the idiots that the gimmes all over the state have now voted into power. And that California now has achieved the nation's highest poverty rate gives additional depth to the ignorance of these leftwing loonies. gjr]
So much for the decline of Nike
Nike’s Market Value Surges By $6 Billion After Controversial Kaepernick Ad
After an initial dip in share prices, Nike’s stock has skyrocketed to a near all-time high.
"Contrary to President Donald Trump’s claim that Nike would get “killed” by its decision to sign an endorsement deal with former NFL player Colin Kaepernick, the sportswear giant appears to be thriving.
As CBS News reported Friday, Nike’s market value has surged by nearly $6 billion since the company unveiled Kaepernick ― who sparked controversy as the instigator of protests by NFL players against racism and police brutality ― as the star of a provocative ad campaign."

The price of Nike, really hasn't changed that much. They buy and sell pattern seems to indicate the big money of Nike is buying back stocks that got dumped.(gotta make things look good)
This is going to be harder to deal with..
"Former Attorney General of Louisiana, Charles C. Foti, Jr., Esq., a partner at the law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC ("KSF"), announces that KSF has commenced an investigation into NIKE, Inc. (NYSE: NKE).
On August 9, 2018, former employees of NIKE filed a class action lawsuit in federal court against the Company based on a pattern of sexual harassment and discrimination wherein women were "devalued and demeaned" and that their "career trajectories are blunted because they are marginalized and passed over for promotions" with "lower salaries, smaller bonuses, and fewer stock options" than their male counterparts. Further, the lawsuit charges that the Company "avoided taking any meaningful corrective or preventive actions" in response to numerous complaints of "hostility and sexual harassment" reported to managers and human resources."
Paul.. Stay out of things you have no clue about.
NFL games? uh,, no one is going. Half capacity at best.
The way things are going, NFL stands for "Not For Long".

https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Kavanaugh-to-Give-Senate-Calendars-From-1982-to-13251756.php
"The calendars show, according to the person working for his confirmation, that he was out of town much of the summer at the beach or away with his parents. When he was at home, the calendars list his basketball games, movie outings, football workouts and college interviews. A few parties are mentioned but include names of friends other than those identified by Blasey.
So more bad news for the witch trial accusers.

No commentary George. Just reporting on the fact that Nike stocks have surged 6 Billion since the Kap ad. Do you dispute those numbers?
Posted by: Paul Emery | 23 September 2018 at 04:22 PM
Re: the price of Nike.
Let’s not confuse Nike with the NFL and stadium attendance. The NFL (revenues) is doing fine and will do fine simply because of the long term broadcast contracts already signed that will continue for a few more years, not to mention it’s new toy, the on-line live broadcasts and those revenues it will bring. As long as Fantasy Football remains a national obsession with the sports folks, money will keep rolling in, even if fewer show up at the gate.
A boycott of the NFL does not necessarily translate to a boycott of Nike. Now that Colin is off the field selling shoes, I can predict that the attendance of games and TV viewship will level out. The fewer the kneeling millionaires, the less the backlash. Right now, it seems the players are waiting to regroup, despite their denials with some face saving rhetoric. Owners are not jumping into the fray publicly, it’s all low key right now. That could change. We are, afterall, dealing with the cuddled generation. It’s new ground to be broken.
https://m.facebook.com/RowdyConservatives/photos/a.217983685002343/1429456733855026/?type=3&source=54
There are a lot of similarities with Barack and Colin. Both raised by exclusively by white folks, both are half white/ half black.. Both never grew up having the “Black Experience.” Little Barry was raised in Kansas, Hawaii, and Indonesia, none of which is hardly growing up in ‘the black community’ by any stretch of the imiiagion. Same for Colin. It’s like they are both looking for the roots and community they never had. Tribeless. Colin had a loving mother, Obama’s mom abandoned him for the socialist cause. Besides that, they are two peas in the same pod.
Back to sports.
Winning is a cure for a lot of ills. There are those who will never watch an NFL game again, but I suspect they will attend a Super Bowl Party with friends if invited. I would. :)
It’s only once a year.
Heck, I know folks who said they will never go to the fairgrounds again after the shit for brain bastard assholes closed down the Ernie Parcell Raceway. I was one of those folks. But, when the girls came along and they were young, I confess I took them to the fair put them on the kiddie rides and let them watch the creepy Greeks and Scots frolic with the hoofed animals in the petting zoo. That was confusing to the young ones. They asked me if it was Halloween, but I digress.

"No commentary George. Just reporting on the fact that Nike stocks have surged 6 Billion since the Kap ad. Do you dispute those numbers? "
Well, of course there's no commentary. Paul can't find a bumper sticker about the situation.
And how much did Kap get paid to whine about how bad it is in the US?
If Nike's fortunes are rising because of the boo-hoo boy they hired, then how can what Kap be protesting be true? Obviously the Klan isn't running the nation as the left keeps telling us.
And of course we again see the fellow who won't answer questions demanding George answer his.
We all read Drudge, Paul. They reported this days ago.
But keep up your dogged news hound stuff - you are such an amusing little rascal.

Walt - Moore's flick 'proved' the NAZI connection by editing the film to show a Trump rally and then a NAZI rally. Soooooooooo many similarities.
A lot of people gathered together to hear some one they wanted to hear.
How can anyone dispute the facts?

"There are quite a few people that have a larger megaphone if you will that seem either threatened by what they perceive to be a changing country that is less white perhaps … basically, there’s a concern that we’ve lost our way and immigrants are kind of easy to single out with vitriol."
"...and immigrants are kind of easy to single out..."
No, moron - illegal immigrants. Nice little lie, there.
Less white 'perhaps'. Oh, thanks for the qualifier Bush.
And of course, then again, perhaps not.
and
"There’s examples of cable news shows that talk about an illegal immigrant or a legal immigrant that commits an atrocious crime, murder, family loses their loved one and that seems to get a lot more attention than crime throughout America."
Really? - 'a legal immigrant'? One single example, please.
That 'seems' to get more attention...
Sounds really scientific, Bush.
And you 'seem' like a real asshole country club Republican.
I just love the Dems and even Rs that casually write off any concerns for securing our border to simple racism. And they do it so off-handedly with a smile on their face.
I could come really close to praying that one of these snot-nosed jerks had a loved member of their family smeared across the road by a drunken illegal, but I never want any harm to come to anyone and further - they are so far gone, it wouldn't do any good. They'd just blame the company that made the booze or claim the poor drunk would have called a cab except only white folks can get a cab or some such nonsense.
Apparently Bush can't find a cheap house boy lately.

Walt,
Walt, Walt, Walt. Punchy just wants to argue and whine like the little girl he pretends to be. It’s for his “personal growth”. Too late for that, ROFLMAO. Guess that comes from watching too much Phil Donahue and immersing one’s self in far left wing stuff like Democracy Now. Just saw a rating site and they put Democracy Now! in the far left wing category. Not left wing, but far left wing. That explains a lot, so cut creepy Uncle Punchy some slack. It’s for his education.
At least he finally knows how creepy it is for some freakazoid man with a pony tail and tape recorder sticking a mic in your face is. That is creepy. Gives me the heebie-jeebies. Punchy even got creeped out himself seeing a fellow journalist doing it in front of The Del Oro. Oh, let Punchy listen to that far left wing site Democracy Now! as his last source of comfort along with his other quirky indulgences.
Having TDS does not allow a man to have any peace. Still not as creepy as Dougie doing the trench coat thang with his camera inside the Del Oro. —Scenes from that long word: good to see you back in full name. Nike won my respect years ago. It’s when Air Jordan’s were coming out and kids were knifing one another to steal a pair right off someone other kid’s feet. The conman Reverend Jesse Jackson went to shake down Nike for some money under the pretense that their snickers were just too expensive for po kids and it’s was unfair and racist. Them shoes are just damn too expensive! Jesse told them to just hire some black folks in VP positions, make a sizeable contribution to the very Reverend Jeese’s maternity fund...er...Rainbow Fund and all these community organizers and protesters will go away. Maybe a couple million will settle the score and a few hundred pair of Air Jordan’s we can pass out to poor children.
Nike told Jesse to go pound sand. Darn. Jesse got a few million from Bubba to disappear, but the ole Reverend always comes back for more....until he went calling on Nike. Don’t think Obama gave Jesse any money either. Barry was more of the Reverend Al kind of guy.

" She was at first hesitant to speak publicly, partly because her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident. In her initial conversations with The New Yorker, she was reluctant to characterize Kavanaugh’s role in the alleged incident with certainty. After six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney, Ramirez said that she felt confident enough of her recollections to say that she remembers Kavanaugh had exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party, thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away."

Yep, that “Investigation” on Ellis is not a police investigation. It’s the Dem Farm Party Investigation, ROFLMAO. Like the Dem House investigating Barney Frank’s boytoy lover boy running a gay sex service out of the basement of Frank’s condo, lol. Or the 18 months it took the Dem controlled House to “investigate” sly Charley Rangel for not reporting $75.000 in rents from his Dominican beach house or grabbing four (4) low income apartments and renting those out with one of those po folk low income apartments he was using as his campaign office and charging the tax payers for his “office rent”. Sweet. 18 months...had to wait until he cast a key vote AND until his reelection campaign was over.
Bottomline: The Dem Farm Party is where investigations go to die.
Bottomline #2: I believe Monahan. I believe her. She is credible.

Kavanaugh is toast, burnt toast. He's done. A prep school asshole of the highest order who apparently liked to assault young women. Very nice BRETT. Such a man of the people, that Brett. No wonder Mitch McConnell warned you. You had the chance to nominate a woman, but you went with the riskiest asshole you could find. Another Trump fail. And the result is we will have a split court for the next couple of years. You old racist assholes in this cesspool really need to deal in reality. Comical to watch several of you paper tigers spout BS for hours each day, day after day after day. Just a bunch of little wimps, whiners, and toothless barking cowards. All downhill from here, and no one to save you. Awwww.

Good job Paul. YOU support false accusations to smear a good man's name. Another allegation there is no way to prove. I bet the Judge's calendar will show him somewhere else. You know, real evidence.
Posted by: Walt | 24 September 2018 at 06:13 AM
Paul missed this.
Deborah Ramirez, admits “significant gaps in her memories” regarding the college party in question. Critics note her allegations come after six days of consulting with a Democratic lawyer, other persons she claims were at the party deny her account, and even her college best friend admits, “I never heard of it.”
Paul has never been one to use real facts.

I’m grateful every day of my life that I’m not a Democrat. I’m also grateful that Democrats are grateful that I’m not a Democrat. It requires a life devoid of any moral compass to do what they’re doing and I have NOTHING in common with these people.

Narrative fail continues -
“It's worth noting that Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer could not confirm ‘with other eyewitnesses that Kavanaugh was present at the party.’ It's also worth noting that this disclaimer was buried to the ‘10th paragraph’ of the Deborah Ramirez report. Lazy at best, slimy at worst,” Mediaite columnist Joseph Wulfsohn wrote.
National Review editor Charles C.W. Cooke penned a column calling the piece “grossly irresponsible,” which slams The New Yorker for publishing the story.
“I am struggling to remember reading a less responsible piece of ‘journalism’ in a major outlet,” Cooke wrote.“There is no scaffolding beneath this story."

“Yesterday [Sept. 17], Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law SB 946. This bill, sponsored by state Senator Ricardo Lara (D–Bell Gardens), formally legalizes sidewalk vending within California and forbids cities from completely banning street merchants”
Yady, , yady, yady....”But the law makes it clear municipalities can't confine sidewalk vendors to certain neighborhoods or ban them entirely”.

1) So, this is what the James Woods twitter fuss is about. He refuses to take down this post, obliviously taken from crazy lib site. Too funny.
https://m.facebook.com/RowdyConservatives/photos/a.217983685002343/1441178542682845/?type=3&source=48
2). totalitarianism
“I don’t use the ‘T’-word lightly,” writes columnist Sohrab Ahmari. “I’ve spent years pushing back against those who fling it about in free societies like ours. But totalitarianism doesn’t require cartoonish, 1984-style secret police and Big Brother. The classical definition is a society where everything — ethical norms and moral principles and truth itself — is subjugated to political ends.”
Political ends Democrats are willing to trash the Constitution to achieve. Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Mark Warner (D-VA), and Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) are demanding that the intelligence community, the FBI, and the Justice Department defy President Donald Trump’s order to release unredacted documents to Congress until they are vetted by the so-called Gang of Eight, calling it a “brazen abuse of power.” Former CIA Director John Brennan insisted deep-state officials — unelected and publicly unaccountable officials — were obligated to “push back” against the order as well.
“From abortion to gay marriage, plus a host of less titillating issues, modern liberalism has lived by the Court,” Ahmari explains. “And liberals fear their cause will die by the Court.”
Thus, force-feeding their agenda to the American public — by any means necessary — has become the American Left’s modus operandi. Can’t win elections? Insist Russian collusion was to blame and demand an investigation, call voter ID requirements “racist,” or simply grant illegals the right to vote. Don’t like the current administration’s foreign policy? Undermine it, like John Kerry is doing with Iran. Can’t persuade an American public to embrace your ideology? Have your progressive tech allies censor opposing viewpoints or manipulate searches; transform college campuses and public schools into citadels of progressive indoctrination that breed contempt for the nation’s history, traditions, Constitution and its exceptionalism; and turn everything from entertainment venues to corporate business operations into platforms for progressive virtue-signaling.
It’s become clear that virtually every aspect of modern-day progressivism is driven by the same despicable delusions that have animated every totalitarian movement since the dawn of time:
Our cause is “noble” and thus, the ends justify the means.
The 2018 election will likely be one of the most clarifying moments in the nation’s history. Either an American Left whose “win by any means necessary,” Constitution-crushing proclivities — never more exposed than right now — will be rejected by the electorate, or the number of Americans poisoned by a corrupt education system has reached critical mass, and a majority of voters will embrace totalitarianism, destroying America in order to “save” it. Save from whom?

de·ism
ˈdēˌizəm,ˈdāˌizəm/
noun
noun: deism
belief in the existence of a supreme being, specifically of a creator who does not intervene in the universe. The term is used chiefly of an intellectual movement of the 17th and 18th centuries that accepted the existence of a creator on the basis of reason but rejected belief in a supernatural deity who interacts with humankind.

Donald J. Trump allegedly (not proven) violated the sacred bonds of holy matrimony by committing fornication with one Stephanie Gregory Crawford in 2007. That was 11 years ago. While the socialst/dems obstruction game falls apart this is happening in the real world -
The US started negotiations with South Korea last year, following Mr Trump's criticism of the 2012 deal as a "one-way street".
Under the new terms, South Korea has agreed to exempt up to 50,000 cars per US manufacturer per year from South Korean safety requirements - double the current number and far higher than any American company currently exports.
The country has also agreed to changes such as improvements to its customs procedures and amendments to its drug pricing policies.
The agreement also extends a 25% US tariff against South Korean trucks to 2041. It had been scheduled to expire in 2021.
Separately, the US agreed to exempt a certain amount of South Korean steel from the 25% tariffs Mr Trump announced in March - equivalent to 70% of the country's average imports from 2015-2017.
South Korea and the US are major trade partners, exchanging nearly $155bn in goods and services in 2017.

Its the economy stupid -
Democrats have completely lost their advantage with American men. A year ago, 40 percent of men viewed the Democrats favorably, while just 37 percent viewed the GOP favorably.
Now Republicans are in favor with 50 percent of men. Favorability toward Democrats climbed one point to 41 percent, giving the Republicans a 9 point advantage.
Republicans also now enjoy an advantage with middle-class voters. A year ago, Democrats led Republicans 46 to 36 among voters earning $30,000 and $74,999 annual. Now Republicans have the lead, 49 to 45.

Stephen Moore on what’s wrong with feeling good every now and then? Can’t always wake up seeking to get enraged over something, can you? That’s not healthy. What can they be offended by today?
“Similarly, the ugly incident when White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was kicked out of a restaurant weeks ago wasn’t an aberration. Liberals are so filled with a sense of moral superiority and rage that they literally don’t want to sit in the same dining room with us.
“What a difference a generation makes. It used to be conservatives who were the stuffy ones. Liberals were the fun ones to be around. Now the ones who are so uptight are the liberals like actor Jeff Bridges, who once was funny but now is so embarrassed by modern day America that he seems to want to be anywhere on this planet, except here. OK, then, just go! Liberals are making it clearer with each passing day that they don’t want to associate with conservatives any longer. As a conservative, I hate to say it, but more and more the feeling is mutual.”

“A passionate commitment to social justice is no substitute for knowing what you’re talking about.” —Thomas Sowell
Which leads us to.....
“Standing by his tweets, Mr Sofocleous wrote: ‘I may be wrong and women might indeed have penises, although I don’t believe that to be the case.
‘But the backlash that took place after my comments, particularly within the organisation, convinced me that, unfortunately and surprisingly, there are certain issues within the humanist movement which are undebatable.
