This is Trump on 2017 at a rally in Ohio at an auto plant:

“Let me tell you folks in Ohio and in this area, don’t sell your house,” Trump said, to applause. “We’re going to get those jobs coming back, and we’re going to fill up those factories or rip them down and build brand-new ones. It’s going to happen.”

On Monday, GM announced the plant would be “unallocated.” If the Lordstown jobs are coming back, it’s not happening soon."

Another Trump lie.

Wow

Huge story. The Repubs in the Senate Intel committee are making referrals for criminal prosecution to Mueller.

"The Senate Intelligence Committee has “made multiple criminal referrals” to special counsel Robert Mueller in the Trump-Russia investigation, reports NBC News.

The report says that Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) disclosed the news on Thursday, but added, “we’re not going to talk about any individuals.”

The Senate committee has been investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and that they are now “combing through witness testimony for possible misleading or untruthful statements.”

"The news on the referrals is also sourced to Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) who said the committee “made referrals where appropriate.”

“I am very glad the special counsel is pursuing those who mislead members of congress,” she said.

Another Trump lie.

Well at least that's a direct statement. You've been running this line of Punchy brand nonsense for two years Punch…... he's still president. He's almost certainly going to win in 2020. You've got the gridlock that you claim to want.

So what's your problem?

Todd Juvinall

How is it that a green libertarian sees the world so wrong looking at the same information? As the church lady used to say about everything, "is it a sexual problem?" Any I listened to Dershowitz and what he said was easy to understand after he exanded on what Paul Emery presented here. And it was not a blast at Trump.

Regarding the Senate Committee sending over referrals to the DOJ. Maybe that will be as speedy in its resolution as the Senate Judiciary referrals of the Dossier people and the creepy porn lawyer and his client mrs. Spreadeagle.

Paul Emery

You mean the creepy porn lawyer who represented Trumps creepy porn girlfriend who he was bonking while his wife had a baby in her arms?

My hope is that KVMR shows some news judgment rather than its “anything goes” approach to commentary. It has a responsibility to the community to provide both sides of an issue. Walt:
Its all a big nothingburger. Nothing anyone has said or done puts Trump in any legal jeopardy whatsoever. Skimming headlines, Rachael Madcow says Republicans should be be very nervous tonight. Very nervous. Boo, I am scared. None of them fakenews mass hysteria airheads with TDS have got one thing right last week, last month, a year ago, or even two years ago, including the Punch Drunk One. Never right and always wrong.

Meuller looking into the R platform changes about Ukraine? What, you mean therevwas some lobbying going on in politics and political parties???? Wow. Manafort lied! Cohen lied! Yes, Cohen lied on his taxes, he lied on his financial statements, he lied about this and that and some other things....what, is he some pillar of virtuosity that Meuller is to hold up and hang his hat on? Wow.

Citizen Trump was planning to build a hotel or something in Moscow before he threw his hat in the ring and during the campaign. That’s legal. Big deal. Nothing criminal. Wow.

I could go on and one and the only consistent thing is the Fainting Couch fakenews addicted to outrage folks is they have been wrong every single time.

I have been wrong. Said just yesterday or the day before that Meuller’s team ain’t leaking. Glancing the headlines and I was wrong, wrong, wrong. He is leaking like a sieve right now. Wonder why. Hmmm. Maybe I wasn’t wrong two days ago, but not if I said it today. This happens every time the Russian Collusion thing unravels and we see that Emperor Meuller has no clothes and the press races to help him out. Yesterday it was the Guardian piece about Manafort and Julian Assage. The Enemy of the People were wrong again. Haven’t got one thing right.

Somebody lied to Congress. Yeah, Comey lied to Congress, Clapper lied to Congress, Brennan lied big time to Congress, Holder was held in contempt of Congress after he lied about Fast and Furious and refused to appear to face the questions, and that guy who ran the IRS after Lerner plead the 5th and bail lied to Congress as well....and nothing ever happened to them. Wonder why.

Hillary and Cheryl Mills destroyed 33,000 e-mails that were supeoned by Congress and Cheryl Mills did not have the clearance to even read them (a felony for Hillary to even let Mills read them, not to mention destroy them, another violation of several laws, including the Records Act and Esponage Act)....and nothing ever happened to any of them. Wonder why that is. I thought the press was supposed to help us uncover the truth and expose a corrupted Justice Department, Administration, and politicalized (and weaponized) intelligence apparatus. I thought wrong. Way wrong.
So, go ahead and say this time you got Trump by the balls. Go head wish upon a star. Einstein’ s definition of insanity.

Nothing has changed in two years, not one thing. Meuller has never named the crime that was committed when he started and what he is doing now has zero to do with Russia-Trump Collusion or one hint of Trump criminality. No criminality. Sure, knock off some bit players. Roger Stone? Trump dumped him during the campaign.

This entire charade is for Meuller to write a report in such a way so that the Democrat Congress can impeach Trump,...without finding one impeachable or ciminal offense. Meuller knows he cannot even indict a sitting President per the Justice Department’s own rulings, which Meuller has to follow. Bit players? Big deal. Where’s the beef? There is no beef, never was, never will. But, be my guess and knock yourselves out, oh Enemy of the People and aiders and abetters of the real threat to Democracy.

PS: Manafort played Meullet like a fiddle, not the other way around.

Gregory

Todd, a leftover from the prior sandbox

Yes, it's true, there were kids graduating from NUHS and going to a four year college in the dark ages, the issue is how many and how selective? NUHS didn't push kids forward. The parents in general were happy with their kids getting B's and getting through with a diploma.

Notice, I didn't make any claim that college bound kids were happier, better looking or more whatever. It was just a comment about how good the local schools were in doing what schools are supposed to be doing. Not very is the answer, then and now.

Paul Emery

Bill writes "Manifort played Mueller like a fiddle"

Of all he ludicrous things you're written Biker Gill this takes the cake. Just for a start, who has been in solitary confinement for the past few months and will be indefinably and who is walking free and getting a good paycheck? My goodness, this is so ridiculous I don't know what else to say. The only hope for Manifort is a pardon which would be political suicide for Trump and even then he would have to face numerous State charges which cannot be pardoned. Manifort played Mueller like a fiddle while standing on the deck of the Titanic with no life raft.

Paul Emery

Trump was not supposed to be President now. We were promised that he would be gone in two years. Promised repeatedly by everybody! Make the tape Maybe that’s why “why now”. ;)

Bill Tozer

You will see in due time Punchy. Manafort just out foxed Meuller and watch how this plays out.

Paul Emery

So Bill you are saying that Trump will pardon Manifort. that's the only option to a long prison sentence for what he's already been found guilty of. You forget that he was found guilty of numerous felonies by a jury a couple of months ago. How else would he stay out of prison?

Gregory

Punchy 437pm

My note regarding your monochrome progressive choices for reading and citing was not a claim that they made anything up... it was a noting that you only seem to read what will tell you what you want to believe.

Bill Tozer

Wat and see Punchy. Wait and see. It wasn’t Manafort’s team that went racing to the Judge with their hair on fire saying Meuller lied, he snookered up yesterday. Many lies! No, it was Meuller’s team that sprinted to the Judge screaming Manafort lied, Manafort lied to us!!! Lol.

It has more than two dots to connect to draw you a picture you can grasp, Popinjay. Did I say anything about a pardon for crimes Manafort committed ten years before he met Trump? Nay, I didn’t. A line from the song The Boxer: “Still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.”

Speaking of pardons..er...meaning you speaking of pardons. Best to think outside the box. BTW, that 175 page Manafort plea agreement...well, my news guy went over that and painstaking explainsed to the listening audience as he read it with it all with the State no pardon clauses about a month ago. Maybe a month ago, maybe 4 1/2 weeks. Figured it was not important enough to even post here. We already knew. Thought it was common knowledge weeks ago. Anyway....

Thanks for keeping us on the cutting edge and in the loop.

Gregory if you did not live here at the time (the 60's) then you are simply mouthing someone elses BS. Later in the 80's and 90's NUHS was a top notch school as per its place in Caliornia. I really don't give a hoot if you believe it or not as it does not matter in the first place, but people can be top notch as a ditch digger or a electronics engineer. A matter of perspective. I get a hint from your posts you have some sort of elite angle.

Paul Emery

So how can you say Manifort out smarted Mueller when it seems assured that he will go to prison unless he has a pardon. He has already been found guilty of 8 or 9 felonies and was awaiting sentencing when he decided to plea bargain. Now the deal is off.

Bill how do you see this playing out? How is it that Manifort outsmarted Mueller?

Todd Juvinall

I think this Corsi fellow is going to lead to the demise of the Mueller witch hunt. He has or is going to, file a criminal suit against Mueller for trying to get him to lie to avoid a life term in prison. I think Mueller has overreached and it will come crashing down. I recall too that Trump said Mueller better not come after his money or there will be hell to pay. I don't think Trump ran for the most important office on the planet to become a pauper.

Paul Emery

Just exactly what is Trump going to do Todd to enact "hell to pay"

I was gobsmacked at the Obama quote equating "the three-fifths clause" with identity politics.

Let we forget, it was the slavers who wanted black slaves counted as a whole person, and abolitionists that wanted them not to count at all when determining congressional apportionment. Three-fifths was a compromise that enabled a Constitution to be ratified.

Obama said that just this past Tuesday... I found it here

According to Todd The Repubs "won" the last election. Well the Pubber governors sure don't think so.

GOP governors call out Trump after midterm drubbing

Republican governors say the president and the party has to find a way to appeal beyond a narrowing conservative base to avoid losing in 2020.

Republican governors are warning President Donald Trump that he and the GOP need to make a sharp course correction after their midterm shellacking to avoid losing again in 2020.

While the president has hailed the election as a “tremendous success” and a “big victory,” Republican governors, who will play a central role in overseeing the GOP’s state-by-state 2020 machinery, are taking stock of the party’s poor performance in the November elections and drawing up plans for major fixes.

Check out the comments from others here: What about this don’t you understand? Those segments you refer to are not in response to Rebane’s commentary on the news hour. There is no continuity in the presentation. That’s the journalist’s job! Rebane’s blog is hardly an Algonquin Roundtable; it is the rants of “white flight” from Simi Valley, best known for the acquittal of the police officer in the Rodney King beating. Gee, even Simi Valley, is becoming more diverse. Think Paul!

Yeah Paul....think.....what could possibly go wrong by taking advice from jeffy?!

Don Bessee

Live and learn -

“Ballot harvesting” by Democratic Party operatives — a surprise tactic they likely saved for the general election — appears to have made the difference. The San Francisco Chronicle reported Thursday that Democrats ran a disciplined, door-to-door campaign offering to deliver voters’ ballots to the polls:
Few people noticed when Gov. Jerry Brown signed the changes in AB1921 into law two years ago. In the past, California allowed only relatives or people living in the same household to drop off mail ballots for another voter. The new law allowed anyone, even a paid political campaign worker, to collect and return ballots — “harvesting” them, in political slang.

In Orange County alone, where every House seat went Democratic, “the number of Election Day vote-by-mail dropoffs was unprecedented — over 250,000,” Fred Whitaker, chairman of the county Republican Party, said in a note to supporters. “This is a direct result of ballot harvesting allowed under California law for the first time. That directly caused the switch from being ahead on election night to losing two weeks later.”

The Governors that embraced the Trump agenda won Paul Emery. Those that did not fair badly.

The R's have the Senate wich means we won as that is the "advice and consent" half of the Congress. The House will do nothing except have hearings to try and make people hate Trump.

It looks like you and the FUE are now buddies eh?

Barry Pruett

My point is that we can discuss and debate and be civil. Pelline does not discuss issues. Pelline attacks all folks relentlessly who harbor different views than his own. It is an Alinsky tactic to demonize your opposition in an effort to tangentially discredit their ideas. Such attacks fly in the face of what makes America great - free exchange of ideas - and did not fit with the values of our community paper or the values of our small town. Make no mistake about it; Pelline is not a journalist. He is a liberal propagandist. He unfairly and endlessly attacks Paul and George, because Paul and George value the free exchange of ideas - the great debate. Further and as fish aptly points out, Pelline couldn't run the local paper and now he lectures Paul on how to run a community radio station? Please Jeff. Paul Emery

You gotta cheer fish considering the general vermin that have infested our Government. The Repubs have to get it together to remain a competitive party and clean house or we will be left with a one party country agaqin, this time it will be the Dems turn.

Come on Todd, get to work rebuilding the Repubs to become a viable party. You can start with boosting Assemblyman Dahle, a respectable viable Republican Assemblyman from the North State. He is the future, if there is any, of the Republican Party in California. I don't necessarily agree with everything he supports but I respect him as an intelligent viable representative of his constituents.

George Rebane

Nevada County is an exemplar of the spread of liberalism into America's comfortable, clean, and traditional hinterland communities that are yet untrammeled by the sewage (aka San Francisco values) from the cities. Here we now experience the importing of human detritus - indigents, drug addicts, criminals - that is the inevitable second wave of such out-migrations from the bleak, crowded, and burdened urban areas that were created, grown, and sustained by decades of progressive policies and governance.

Here we are daily witness to the up-close and personal details of such a putrefaction process that is heartily supported by the now ensconced early arrivals of the liberal contingent, one that can still deport itself in polite company and get elected to community leadership positions.

RR welcomes all voices from other communities to bear witness to our travails in the hope that they can better husband what remains dear where they live.

Paul Emery

Do you consider an organization such as the South Yuba River Citizens League an example of the "putrefaction process" in Nevada County?

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery | 30 November 2018 at 11:17 AM

Lonely? Not at all. But your musical attempts sure have seen a dropoff as the people of Nevada City make fun of you and now we see the FUE even does that too.

Regarding doing something. When I was active in the fore on politics I won many races for moi and others. Alas, I am having too much fun doing this and chasing willing women. My life is great. Yours not so much. Your negativity is overwhelming. I suggest you find a gold miner and buy some PC and take it. You are the most negative sourpussed man since Denham's dummy, Walter. But you have to live with that not me.

George Rebane

PaulE 1209pm - No, but how do you think the public policies they promote contribute to our putrefaction?

Paul Emery

George

The Webster definition of putrefaction is:

the decomposition of organic matter especially : the typically anaerobic splitting of proteins by bacteria and fungi with the formation of foul-smelling incompletely oxidized products.

Can you use another descriptive that will be more realistic to embrace in the spirit of meaningful conversation?

You can’t make this stuff up! Now “fish” is scolding Paul for suggesting it seems odd that he is so focused (and invested in time) on the issues and personalities in a small community where he doesn’t even live. Gee, imagine that!

I realize that reading and the written word isn't your strength (unless it's printing on the Oreo bag) but as I told Punchinello I don't spend much time discussing your local issues. I've been in Georges little "community" long enough to enjoy the comments and personalities of some of those who comment here. I know that you probably haven't given it much thought but the internet is changing the way we communicate. You should look into it.

George Rebane

PaulE 1229pm - 'putrefaction' was carefully chosen to bring into the reader's mind the societal analog of its original organic definition. I do think you get the idea, and hope that you can work with that, or the choice of another term that doesn't lose my intended semantic of breakdown and decay. Looking forward to your response to my 1214pm.

fish 1240pm - I'm a bit amazed at the above comment stream's report of ongoings on the FUE's blog. Is he really that desperate for content and visitors that he has to take yet another swipe at RR and attempt at silencing me (us)?? Didn't he just go through one of these periodic enemas a couple of weeks ago?

He's back from China and well rested after giving the Chinese something at which to point and giggle for a week or so. And apparently he is really cheesed off when anybody tells him no like Paul did over at the Catbox.

He must have been a joy as a child!

Oh and kudos to Punch for essentially telling Piggly Wiggly to pound sand!

Represent the citizens what a novel concept -

“This trend must be reversed if the United States is to survive as a constitutional republic,” Gaffney said. “Let’s start by finding out how many of those here are American citizens.”
In a Rasmussen Reports poll, nearly 2-in-3 likely voters, or about 66 percent, said the U.S. Census should ask respondents whether they are citizens of the country. Only about a quarter of Americans said they opposed the citizenship question on the census.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has noted the citizenship question on the census is necessary to further implement congressional apportionment based on the citizen population rather than the current rules that base state representation on the total population — including citizens, illegal alien residents, legal immigrants, and nonimmigrants on visas.

Should congressional apportionment be based on the number of American citizens in each state — which is only possible through asking the citizenship question on the census — Democrat-strong coastal areas with large foreign populations like California and Florida could lose representation, while states with small foreign populations like Wyoming and Ohio would likely gain representation in Congress. Such a rule change would shift power from coastal states to the heartland of the country.

NO!

I'm sorry Barry but I just can't sit idly by while you tarnish the majesty of "Pelline Bingo" by lowering the standards by which the game is won!

Walt

OH how the Left would foam at the mouth if anyone on the Right mentioned stringing up a LIB. Yet they get away with it.

Yup.. The whole family.
What a sick and twisted bitch.

I am not changing the rules of the majestic game! LOL. Pelline did. It used to be 10 comments showing on his screed. Now due to Pelline's proclivity to comment relentlessly to nobody, he modified his blog to show 15 comments thus thwarting the established rules. I demand a recount! Hahaha!

"Do you consider an organization such as the South Yuba River Citizens League an example of the "putrefaction process" in Nevada County?"

Heck no. It strikes me as a 'really good idea'. I like nonprofits that don't deal with those icky poor people or POC's problems. It's gotta be a lot easier to raise money for things like this or Music in the Mountains.

Great big ol' staff (which looks about like Frisch's organization):

Check out their Form 990 at propublica. I appreciate anyone that can invent a job and it isn't like the folks that push in the $1.7M did it at gunpoint. You go girl(s).

re: SYRCL

Honest to gawd Paul, you are missing a bet here.

You need to start a non-profit. Build it around something that well-off white people like. Pets/environment/fancy music or dance. Build a brand that you can run your concert promotions under. Pay yourself a nice salary as the Executive Director. Profit.

I'm serious as a heart attack here.

"he modified his blog to show 15 comments thus thwarting the established rules. "

We are darned close to a pentadecafecta. Even though Paul is a made man in Team Pelline, today's bitchiness requires a real deal royal flush.

Keep pushing them posts dude! That pie won't eat itself!

Todd Juvinall

Scenes, that SYRCL page would be a good stand in for any "white nationalist" organization. All white all the time. And they have turned themselves into the SPLC and anyone that disagrees with them is a racist. Send that link to the KKK and see if they bite.

Todd Juvinall

"M" says Trump is the puppet master! Well that is just fine with me. He is truly making America great again. Trade imbalances are his thing and the country will be much better off if he makes that balance happen. Why would any true American make fun of that?

Todd Juvinall

Uh oh, the FUE has a new post on RR. He uses two loons quoted as saying they won't donate to KVMR because of Rebane's 4 minutes. You cannot make this stuff up. Looks like Barry may have won the bingo!

Walt

This lady is about to be branded a racist.
"A woman getting takeout had suspicions about a silver Jeep spotted outside the T-Mobile store, calling authorities and following it as it fled what police have called a robbery."

Is she guilty of profiling? and the charges need to be dropped?

Really though jeffy to make it more impactful just keep pulling the string in the back of Bruce’s neck until you have a whole bucketful of responses!

Election Fraud Hearing Could Change Outcome Of North Carolina Vote
The Republican candidate leads his opponent by 905 votes

North Carolina election officials have agreed to hold a public hearing into alleged “numerous irregularities” and “concerted fraudulent activities” involving traditional mail-in absentee ballots in the 9th Congressional District, apparently in two rural counties.

The state elections board voted 7-2 on Friday to hear evidence by Dec. 21 before deciding whether to certify the result.

Does anyone think for a minute that this is isolated to Google and not all of the masters of the universe?

Google employees debated whether to bury The Daily Caller and other conservative media outlets in the company’s search function as a response to President Donald Trump’s election
“Let’s make sure that we reverse things in four years,” one engineer wrote in a thread that included a Google vice president
Google employees similarly sought to manipulate search results to combat Trump’s travel ban

Election fraud? So Paul - care to admit that it exists?
You lefties always said it was just Republican BS. Singing a new tune are we?
Anyway there's nothing in the article to suggest skulduggery by one party or another.

Institutional bias at work here and a narrative fail for the pony tail of ignorance -

The Federalist, which first caught NPR’s lie, points out that:

In fact, Senate investigators were asking Trump Jr. about a series of efforts to develop property in Russia, going back several years. Reporter Phil Ewing (reporter Tim Mak contributed to the story) conflates one of those efforts with another separate effort. That conflation results in the false news report.

The “certainly not ’16” remark from Trump Jr. pertains to a Trump Tower deal in Moscow involving another party.

The truth is that when asked a direct question about the Trump Tower in Moscow deal that pertains to Cohen’s testimony, Trump Jr. gave a direct answer that in no way contradicts Cohen’s testimony:

Q: It’s been reported that in late 2015 or 2016 when now President Trump was running for office the Trump Organization was pursuing a plan to develop a massive Trump Tower in Moscow. Is that accurate?
A: Yes.

Trump Jr. also offered to provide investigators with the letter of intent signed by his father.
Only after the false story remained published for most of Friday, did NPR finally issue a weasally correction

It must be pretty meaty if it's all being kept in the dark.
Muller must have really overstepped his bounds if the court is actually hearing it.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/appellate-court-plans-closed-session-in-mystery-plaintiffs-suit-against-mueller
"A federal appeals court announced Friday that it would hold a closed oral argument session on Dec. 14, to address a lawsuit apparently filed against Special Counsel Robert Mueller by an unidentified grand jury witness."

How would it look if Muller is found to have tried to get someone to fabricate a story to frame Trump?
