Getting real on school safety -
In its final report released Tuesday, the commission concluded the “guidance” issued by the Obama administration in 2014 “may have paradoxically contributed to making schools less safe.”
Some education policy experts have observed the Broward County school district’s policy that includes consideration of race and minority status where discipline is concerned, inspired the Obama administration’s guidance and may have played a role in the fact that Nikolas Cruz remained under the radar until his shooting rampage in Parkland, Florida, on February 14.

Is anyone surprised?
The Daily Caller News Foundation has determined that an influential Antifa leader uses aliases to spread radical and often violent rhetoric while concealing his actual identity.
Joseph “Jose” Alcoff works with congressional Democrats as part of his day job as a manager with a DC-based advocacy group. But he spreads socialist and communist propaganda when going by the name “Jose Martin.”
Identifying as “Chepe,” Alcoff advocates for the violent overthrow of the government and for the murder of the rich. He has relished the mainstreaming of Antifa’s militant tactics in the Trump era.
A 2017 book identified Chepe as an organizer behind Smash Racism DC, the Antifa group that mobbed Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s home in November and ran Ted Cruz out of a restaurant in September.

Further evidence that Fox is dumping Trump. they are his only friends n the TV media.
"Fox News’ Kennedy on Wednesday admitted that most conservatives would have been up in arms if former President Barack Obama had proposed siphoning off money from the U.S. defense budget to pay for a pet project the way that President Donald Trump has proposed doing.
Earlier in the day, Trump had pledged that he would find a way to fund construction of his proposed border wall even if Congress failed to allocate funds for it. What’s more, the president said he would have the military work on building the wall."

Rancid Russian dressing is less popular than ever -
There are a number of things notable about CNN’s abysmal primetime showing in 2018. To begin with, during a banner news year that included a midterm election, the network still failed to average a million total viewers.
Secondly, MSNBC nearly doubled CNN’s total viewers, and Fox News nearly tripled the fake news network

So why do those who wreak of rancid Russian dressing totally ignore this?
"Any Russian interference in U.S. energy markets must be exposed and met with full consequences," IER president Tom Pyle said in a press release. "Why Treasury has failed to dignify either this FOIA request or the requests of House Committee Chairman Smith is unknown and gravely concerning. We hope Treasury corrects this matter immediately by providing the necessary records to document what has been happening behind the backs of the American people. Treasury must be clear: foreign meddling in U.S. energy policy or markets will not be tolerated under any circumstances."
Smith and other members of Congress have suggested that green groups working to influence U.S. energy policy on behalf of foreign governments could be operating in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938 that requires "persons acting as agents of foreign principals in a political or quasi-political capacity to make periodic public disclosure of their relationship with the foreign principal, as well as activities, receipts and disbursements in support of those activities," according to the U.S. Justice Department.

“According to those records, Vrooman in June 2015 registered to vote in Alameda County. That county mailed Vrooman a ballot on April 17, 2016.
On May 10, 2016, Vrooman registered to vote in Nevada County. The local elections office mailed her a ballot two days later, Gillham said.
Gillham said Vrooman told her she didn't know voting twice was illegal.
"'I guess I did,'" Gillham said, summarizing Vrooman's statement, "'But I didn't know it was illegal to do so.'"

Notice our host stays out of this and still has a little punch left. Usually that means the end is near. Note that Gregory has joined the circle and now has nothing to say of substance. Scenes-still has viability and can land a big one now and then. Of course being a boxer I won't reveal when because that would be admitting a weakness to be later exploited. The project’s operators created a Facebook page on which they posed as conservative Alabamians, using it to try to divide Republicans and even to endorse a write-in candidate to draw votes from Mr. Moore. It involved a scheme to link the Moore campaign to thousands of Russian accounts that suddenly began following the Republican candidate on Twitter, a development that drew national media attention.
“We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet,” the report says.

Insidious infiltration of government by special global warming interests -
In that scheme, Bloomberg funded a new "center" of the New York University School of Law, and the school provides the funding for certain attorneys to be placed within attorney general offices (OAGs) around the country with the sole purpose of pursuing litigation and other legal work related to climate change.
The payment for these attorneys includes their ongoing salaries, so that the OAGs are able to essentially add an extra full-time staff member without having to dip into their budget.
In August of this year, Horner and CEI published their findings on the efforts in a paper titled, "Law Enforcement for Rent." Later, the Wall Street Journal editorial pages weighed in on the situation.
"The ethical problems here should be obvious. Private interests are leveraging the police powers of the state to pursue their political agenda, while a government official is letting private interests appear to influence enforcement decisions. None of this is reassuring about the fair administration of justice," the paper said.
Horner and CEI have argued that it may be illegal in some or all of the jurisdictions for the OAGs to accept attorneys whose salaries are paid for by outside entities, because in most situations, an AG's office is funded by the respective legislative body. And the funding mechanism is generally understood as a "check" on the law enforcement agency's powers.
About a month after CEI issued its full report, the Free Beacon obtained a document showing that lawyers for the Oregon legislature analyzed the situation, and concluded that the outside funding of an attorney working within the Oregon Department of Justice was likely not allowed under state statute.

The famed statistician continued: “If you wrote out a list of the most important factors in the 2016 election, I'm not sure that Russian social media memes would be among the top 100. The scale was quite small and there's not much evidence that they were effective.”
Platform-wide, there are something like 500,000,000 tweets posted each day,” Silver wrote. “What fraction of overall social media impressions on the 2016 election were generated by Russian troll farms? 0.1%? I'm not sure what the answer is, but suspect it's low, and it says something that none of the reports that hype up the importance of them address that question and neither does Punchy.”

Bad day for Trump for sure from the Senate who did not support Trumps shutdown of the Government for lack of funding for the wall.
"Senate reports show scope of Russian election meddling
The Senate Intelligence Committee has released two reports detailing the breadth of the Russian social media campaign to sow discord in the United States."

I corrected my misspelling in the post above your second question. So that tells me you don't read. You lost I won. Very simple.

With a Judge named Chen, it makes sense.
.The original ban on this weapon—two rods tied or chained together—dates back to the Nunchuck Panic of 1974, when overanxious adults worried that the popularity of Bruce Lee's martial arts movies would mean children mercilessly thwacking one another in the streets. Lawmakers reportedly believed the lure of nunchucks to be so strong that a private citizen could not be trusted to keep them safely locked away at home. No nunchucks for anyone, they said; nunchuck privileges revoked, you bloodthirsty monsters.”

Don
I am familiar with the expression "tapped out". That is a verb with obvious meaning. Is that what you are referring to?
Let me correct you by correcting your sentence. I do lots of proofreading Don. Here you go:
"Well that's just a scintillating repartee from a tapped out po' ol' fakenewsman."
Does that help you Don? Glad to proofread your comments anytime to help casual readers know what you're talking about.

You didn't admit you had a misspelling when you corrected your typo. How is someone to know? Again you are confused.
The Repubs lost the elections that were held this year in the House and Governorships and won in the Senate. How can you dispute that?.

Our Lefty loons had their panties in a knot because Trump may have paid hush money. Even LIB news was all giddy.
I those kind of "crimes" only apply to the Right. When their own do it, just another day with sunshine.
" You do know Clinton paid hush money too, right? He paid Paula Jones $850k. He was impeached bc he lied under oath. He also had sex while at work in the Oval Office. And you Liberals think sex in a hotel room nine, ten years ago is the same?"

Todd
that's right Todd a three year old could have figured out that you meant something other than who won the "16 elections , which is obvious even to children.
Just trying to help you express yourself in public. A thank you, while appropriate, is not necessary or expected.

Republican Senate up in arms about Trumps Syria pullout proclamation.
"GOP senators leveled blistering criticism at Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday for President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from Syria, with multiple Republican senators expressing outrage and frustration.
Pence was dispatched to the Hill as the administration began absorbing a torrent of condemnation from hawkish Republicans, who blasted the White House announcement that the U.S. and its allies have defeated the Islamic State in Syria and that some of the 2,000 U.S. troops battling the terrorist group will begin coming home. But though the criticism was directed at the president in Wednesday's party lunch, Pence still endured an earful as he tried to make a presentation to the startled GOP about U.S. policy in the Middle East.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Pence he was "personally offended" to read about the decision in the news rather than hearing from the president or his aides. Graham has grown close to Trump and has generally praised him though he often criticized the president during the 2016 campaign.
"We're going to hold the administration accountable for this decision," Graham recounted telling Pence. "If Obama had done this, all of us would be going nuts because it's such a bad idea. The job of the Congress is to hold the executive branch accountable. He's the commander in chief, but he needs to be held accountable for his decisions. And I want hearings as soon as possible."
Graham declined to say how Pence responded. Pence declined to speak to reporters after the lunch.

VETERAN TECH JOURNALIST Walt Mossberg said Monday he was leaving Facebook after 12 years of using the social media platform. "My own values and the policies and actions of Facebook have diverged to the point where I'm no longer comfortable there," he wrote.
- More revelations about Facebook's policies and actions - namely, the New York Times reporting Tuesday night how the company gave other tech giants "more intrusive access to users' personal data than" it had disclosed - appear to have prompted other journalists to ship. Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman, the New York Times Magazine's Nikole Hannah-Jones and MSNBC host Kasie Hunt tweeted yesterday that they were deleting Facebook.
- Hunt wrote in a farewell Facebook post how she doesn't "trust them any more" and issued a warning. "To anyone who uses this as a place to get news, I urge you: DON'T. At all," Hunt wrote. "It's bad for your brain, divides you from your neighbors, and it's worse for democracy."

A new low. LIBS do the dirty work, just to blame the Russians.
https://dailycaller.com/2018/12/19/democrats-russian-bots-false-flag/
Democratic operatives created thousands of Twitter accounts posing as Russian bots in order to boost Alabama Democratic Sen. Doug Jones in the October 2017 special election by linking his Republican opponent, Roy Moore, to Russian influence campaigns.
The operatives, who were funded by liberal billionaire Reid Hoffman independently of Jones’s campaign, created more than a thousand Russian-language accounts that followed Moore’s Twitter account overnight, The New York Times reported Wednesday evening.
Hoffman gave the operatives $100,000 for their project, which included creating fake conservative Facebook accounts to dissuade voters from supporting Moore, according to the Times.
“We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet,” the operatives recounted in an internal report obtained by the Times.
You can bet LIBS will say "it's all good".

The Huawei connection: Revelations that Facebook granted access to user data to Chinese telecom firm Huawei and Russian company Yandex, flagged by U.S. and Ukranian intelligence officials over security concerns, also prompted scorn from lawmakers. "I'm concerned that they would share with anybody that the users are not fully aware of but particularly which could be used by Huawei, which to me is an extension of Chinese intelligence and of course Russia, which we know collects information on Americans for purposes of influencing our political debate," said Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). A Yandex spokesperson told the Times it was unaware of the access. Huawei did not offer comment.

"Are you a Facebooker? Do you trust Facebook?"
Yes, and of course not. I can't say that they are any better than Google, etc. They all combine a pretty toxic brew of analysis of 'customers, selling of data, and being in bed with the 17 intelligence agencies.
Facebook is EZ to use. Just install browser plug-in that turns off your feed, click on your friends or groups that are interesting, be fairly circumspect about what you stick on there.
My own take is that it'll become increasingly important to keep a public and a private persona. Merely staying off-line will make you more suspicious to Paul's buddies at the 17, so a vanilla public face will become more necessary. The Chinese are blazing the way here.
