As the worst offender I don't care! I do worry about an ignorant nitwit like Pelline taking up your valuable time with baseless threats of litigation!

So there's that!

Todd Juvinall

GeorgeR, I personally don't like moderation. Even discussions or attacks on sheep and goats has a place in the lives of some. But it is your blog.

George Rebane

ToddJ 1103am - Yeah, but I'm not interested in the resolution of such animal husbandry problems on RR. Since you seem to have more tolerance to the discussions of such subject matter, perhaps you can invite their continuance on your blog. I'm not trying to constrain free speech, only recommend venues where it is most welcomed.

Bill Tozer

Under the category It Can’t Happen Here, I present to you the rest of the story and the reason behind the brawl inside Mickey D’s:

“Biandudi says the argument started when Taylor went over to the condiment bar to grab a straw. When he noticed there were none, she says he began screaming at the employees.

"He was yelling and walking toward the counter and the young lady behind the counter told him that it’s the law now that we’re not allowed to have straws in the lobby,” she said.

The new law, which took effect January 1 in St. Petersburg says restaurants can’t have straws out. Instead, customers must request the straw. In 2020, plastic straws will no longer be allowed in restaurants at all and businesses will have to find an alternative.

Another shooting up on "the ridge", as I speak.
Someone named Doug shot some guy in the gut with a .45
A road rage incident it sounds like.
Last seen on Sweetland Road headed for Pleasant Valley.

First ax attacks in GV, now gun play up on the ridge.
And the first week of the new year hasn't even ended yet.

The axe job from yesterday...

Looks like waiting periods and background checks are needed for axe buys.

To paraphrase a local representative of the media…….Time to pop some corn…..gonna be fun!

Confused Pelosi botches Speaker speech: ‘I think I skipped a couple of pages. I’m not sure.’…..

Bill Tozer

Under the category “What difference at this point does it matter anyway”

“Flynn’s attendance at the RT event was disclosed in advance to the intelligence community, he took proactive steps to ensure he could not be compromised by attendees and he then came back to the United States and reported intelligence designed to benefit America.

“Flynn was never charged with any wrongdoing related to the RT event, so the belated revelations about his pre- and post-event conduct won’t have any effect on his sentencing in the court of law. But in the court of public opinion, they should have a real impact.

“On that score, the first accounts of the Russia-Flynn story — like many others in the still-unproven collusion narrative — should be amended to reflect that the retired general acted like a patriot, not a traitor, when he visited Moscow for the RT event.

Which brings us to the biggest crime concerning the Flynn saga. No, Flynn’s discussions with the Russian Ambassador were perfectly legal and not a crime. Discussions about sanctions and opening up energy exploration is a matter of policy, not criminal. No, the big crime was not failing to report income he made on behalf of the Turks. Neither was the big crime of lying to Pence, which he was fired for. Neither was lying to the FBI the BIG crime which he will probably serve no time for. Nope, none of the above.

The real big crime, the felony that carries years in prison, occured when Flynn’s name was unmasked and somebody illegally leaked that classified info to the press, a big time felony and no-no. Thus, the Deep State and their complicit press strikes again. The enemies of the people are many and situated in high places.

Bill Tozer

Amend my 2:12 pm

Instead of: No, the big crime was not failing to report income he made on behalf of the Turks.......it should read “No, the big crime was not failing to to file proper foreign lobbing paperwork for work he did on behalf on the Turks.”

The enemy of the people, who done it?

“That silence was maintained even when former acting Attorney General Sally Yates publicly claimed Flynn was possibly “compromised” by Moscow.

“And when a Democratic senator, Al Franken of Minnesota, suggested the former Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) chief posed a “danger to this republic.”

“And even when some media outlets and our own friggin fakenews popinjay opined whether Flynn’s contacts with Russia were treasonous”

Bill Tozer

Could it be? Could it be the same woman made famous in the Kavanaugh hearings when Lindsey grew a spine?

First, look at the wack job pale non-Hispanic white lady standing to the far left background on the pick. Forget the article, just look at the pic.

Now, look at the lady in the background behind Lindsey Graham. Same woman? I report, you decide.

re: Pelosi and The Speech.

That reminds me of a story told by Victor Suvorov (aka Vladimir Rezun).

Evidently, some time ago, a rather fat and sleek Russian general was giving a speech at one of the military academies. Someone had slipped up and there were two interleaved copies of the speech.

The rather porcine general proceeded to read his speech to the assembled officers. Page 1 followed by page 1. Page 2 followed by page 2. etc. Of course he never noticed. And of course, the crowd sat in rather horrified silence afraid to say anything. A beautiful thing.

I'd have to say that the current gerontocracy isn't a whole lot different than a batch of Soviet officials. These systems rhyme more than you might think.

Quotes of the day. The last one is my fav.

Upright: “Good character is not an impediment to success. But it is not sufficient for success, either.” —Jim Geraghty

For the record: “If Senator Romney wants to sound off against Trump’s excesses and character flaws, he should by all means do so in response to Trump’s tweets or statements or actions. But by forcing a ‘Love Trump or Leave Trump’ choice on Republicans, he’s actually doing the work of both the most ardent Trumpists and the most viciously antagonistic members of the Democratic party and the media.” —Ben Shapiro

Friendly fire: “Though [Dean] Baquet said publicly he didn’t want the Times to be the opposition party, his news pages were unmistakably anti-Trump. Some headlines contained raw opinion, as did some of the stories that were labeled as news analysis.” —former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson

Fake news: “Extreme weather and dire climate reports are intensifying the mental health effects of global warming: depression and resignation about the future.” —NBC News

Alpha Jackass II: “Donald Trump supporters are older, less educated, less prosperous, and dying early. Their lifespans are decreasing, and many are dying from alcoholism, drug overdoses, liver disease, or simply a broken heart caused by economic despair.” —Hank Johnson

Civility: “She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding.” —Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, on her mother’s negotiating style

In the its ok if we do it but not you category -

Starting in high school, Malcolm used apps like Tinder and Grindr to meet men from around the state, friends said. On that October night, he had come to Bristol to meet someone younger, purportedly a 14-year-old boy “going on 15,” according to a video posted by the digital vigilante group known as POPSquad.

And here is where things went horribly wrong for Malcolm:
When Malcolm arrived, he found that there was no boy — there was only POPSquad. For the 126th time in two years, the group — an acronym for Prey on Predators — had catfished a man on the internet, posing as an underage teen on hookup apps and luring him into a meetup, this time at an empty home whose owner allows it to be used for the group’s stings, according to POPSquad.
Now, I ask you… Ever, in the history of journalism, has an alleged child predator received five glowing paragraphs of hagiography before his alleged crime was detailed?

This POPSquad that NBC News hates so much just happens to be an online version of NBC’s own Dateline program, To Catch a Predator, which ran from 2004 to 2007–the idea being to use the Internet to lure child predators out into the open where they are publicly exposed and shamed on camera.

"Those deadbeat elec. car drivers not paying their hy. use fees.(fuel taxes)
Serves them right."

Oh, they'll fix that soon enough. You already have that problem with high vs. low MPG cars and their use of roads. No doubt we'll see taxes based on odometer reading at some point, along with 1000 pages of new regulations on design of odometers and illegality of messing with them.

I did like the article. It's possible that some kids were messing with the stink ass Tesla people, ridiculous if true. What's really interesting is that some random person can put type up a post on Reddit, get quoted in some 'news' website, and then more 'news' websites quote the 'news' website, and then one of the numerous 'news' websites gets quoted here. The opportunities for mischief here are boundless.

,,,Scotto,,,yes ICEing is a thing that redneck trumpers do as part of Trump's army of idiots

,,,Walter,,,you so Funny!!! As if these boneheads were protesting '''highway fee inequity''' LOL

Scott O

Sorry M - that article provided little proof that this is an ongoing problem. They actually admit a lot of it could just be people looking for a place to park without any intention of being a part of any animus against Tesla owners. 2 photos actually show that Teslas would still be able to access the ports. Fail. You have TDS and see an 'army' that doesn't exist. There wasn't any proof of any kind that linked this to Trump.
Rude or inconsiderate peoples' parking habits cross all political lines.
You can come out from under the bed.
It's OK - really.

A paper dragon? Belt road project dead because they did not have that kind of money in the real world and then there is this =

As worries have mounted in recent months, top financial regulators have held meetings with economists at banks and brokerages to instruct them to take into account the interests of the Communist Party when they publish economic analyses - an apparent euphemism for holding back alarming language, Bloomberg reported in November.

But over the past 12 months, bits and pieces of data coming out have been precisely that: alarming.

Car sales have been shrinking for the first time since 1990, when most of the country was peddling bicycles. A key manufacturing survey at the end of the year showed Chinese factory activity actually contracting. And revenue from consumption tax was down 72 per cent in November

from a year ago, Balding said.

The truth. Man is it ever the truth.

Robert Cross

In the "if you tell a lie long enough and loud enough conservative minds will believe it" category: trumpy today said with regard to his wall and his 'gimme my wall or I will take my ball and go home..errr let the government shut down until they give me my way.. wah wah wah!" approach to deal making.

“The people of our country want it. ..I have never had so much support as I have in the last week over my stance for border security ... or, frankly, the wall or the barrier. I have never had anything like it in terms of calls coming in, in terms of people writing in and tweeting. I’ve never had this much support,”

slight problem -- the Whitehouse phone system, mail, etc. are not and have not been functioning because of the shutdown. So it must be support from his goombah buddies via cell phone or maybe 'bat signals' in the sky.

Another slight problem --most Americans DON"T want his wall, only the minority of the population that support him. A Quinnipiac poll of registered voters that were reached on landlines or cell phones from Dec. 12-17 found that 54 percent of respondents opposed the wall. A Harvard/Harris online poll of registered voters found that 56% or respondents opposed the wall.

The truth is never the truth in trump land.

Todd Juvinall

No BoobieC, Trump is right about this and those Border Patrol guys and others were there at his presser top confirm his common sense. Something lefties don't possess. We all know just by common sense that a wall works. So if you want you party to be the party of helping illegals come here to rape and murder, you should get on the Trump train of common sense.

This whole kerfuffle is a political ploy be your ilk and will be rejected.

Robert Cross

Toad 10:19 -- you should probably put plywood up over all your windows and doors and landmines in your yard to protect yourself from all those rapists and murderers. They will be coming for you, Toad, by the millions to take away your skillsaw and all your hammers and tape measures and then put you in a re-education camp where you will be forced to finish the 4th grade for once and for all. 'The trump train of commonsense' has got to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard. Good one Toad a real classic.

Robert Cross

George--"The response from all you worthies was a massive yawn. Silence is also feedback, so I take that as apparently no one cares."

No surprise here... many of your regulars have nothing else to contribute so if you can the childish insults your pages will be blank and you will be dialoguing mostly with yourself and the occasional lefty who comes by to stir the embers. On the other hand, perhaps the childish dialogue has a cathartic function and allows some of your followers an outlet besides road rage when they see an old "Bernie" or "Hillary" bumper sticker.

Todd Juvinall

Oh BoobieC you are just a hoot. At least I finished the third grade. Maybe your white jacket need adjusting? You seem unhinged today, did they forget your fix? Anyway Trump is a common sense man and his voters are as well. You on the left have lost your collective minds and are what we all know and see, sheeple. You can't even put your socks on without orders from Nancy Pelosi. What a shame.

Dan Fife

Todd 10:19
"we all know by common sense that a ($30 billion)wall works" As does a cheap ladder from Home Depot. When has common sense had anything in common with you Todd?

Paul Emery

If Trump is so great Todd why did he lose 40 seats in the House and 7 governor ships?

Todd Juvinall

Dan Fife | 04 January 2019 at 09:44 AM

It appears you are a liberal moron without common sense. After the country put in the wall at different locations along the border the trespassers at those locations dropped down to almost nothing. The wall in California got a razor wire added to the top and now we see that it worked really good. I suggest you stay in your third-grade moron clases and leave the adults to run the place.

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery | 04 January 2019 at 09:50 AM

Obama, your boy, lost 63. Please explain to us why that happened if Obama was so great.

Dan Fife

I guess you haven't crossed the border at San Ysidro or El Paso in a while. At all times of the day many dozens of kids sit on top of the wall (razor wire is nothing but eye candy) and heckle border patrol. Americans toss up bags of snacks to the kids. They make a mockery of the whole thing and people like you who believe what you are told rather than what is in plain sight.

Golly, Punch, the Dem edge in the House is much smaller, is it not, than the last time Pelosi was Speaker, and there is still a majority of states with GOP gubernators.

Barney Fife 944am

There are limits to the number of cheap ladders that can be purchased and brought to the border.

,,,Looks like it's going to be fun!!!

'''Freshman U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib wasted no time in calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump just hours after being sworn in.

Speaking to a crowd of supporters Thursday night, the Michigan Democrat and one of the first Muslim woman elected to Congress said of Trump: "People love you and you win. And when your son looks at you and says, 'Momma, look you won. Bullies don't win.' And I said, 'Baby, they don't, because we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the mother***er.'”

She later stood by her remarks, tweeting she will "always speak truth to power."'

Paul Emery

Because he wasn't so great Todd. I didn't vote for him second time. Are you going to vote for Trump again?

Todd Juvinall

Dan Fife | 04 January 2019 at 11:36 AM

You really are ignorant and believe those loons Nancy and Chuckie. You are just a sheeple. I have first hand info about the border. You get yours through the Guardian talking points memos.

Trump lost 40 house seats and 7 Governorships Gregory. Are you saying that's a good thing? Goodness you're delusional along with Todd.

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery are you that dumb? Apparently, you are. 63 is greater than 40. Obama was the best thing to happen for the R's. We also kept the majority in the Senate and gained and we have the majority of Governors. We have 67 legislative houses to your 32. We kicked your ass.

The chi coms are too used to team 0 running the show -

But Xi and his followers have watched their diplomatic, economic and military initiatives come up short, engendering increased resistance from other Indo-Pacific nations rather than the re-alignment China expected. Now the Trump administration’s trade tariffs threaten to destabilize the Chinese economy, resulting in a cascade failure of Xi Jinping’s broader strategy and threatening to undermine the legitimacy of the Communist Party, hence the stronger and more strident attacks.
China’s desperate attempts to regain the momentum, however, betrays an ignorance of the American culture.

China perceived the lack of strategic focus of the George W. Bush administration and the passive “lead from behind” foreign policy of the Obama administration as American decay and a decline. In reality, the foundational aspects of the American economy remain surprisingly strong and the American fighting spirit is not dead, but only sleeping. Those who would believe that the sinking of two aircraft carriers would trigger an impulse towards retreat would do well to make themselves aware of the United States’ history and the impact events such as the sinking of the Lusitania, the attack on Pearl Harbor and the collapse of the World Trade Center had on the American psyche. What some have labeled the Jacksonian impulse could be described as a tendency towards great power rage. To be sure it burns itself out. After all, the U.S. is considering leaving Afghanistan, seventeen years later.

But make no mistake: any attack upon a single U.S. aircraft carrier by long range aircraft, cruise missiles or ballistic missiles would surely generate a response against the bases those weapons were launched from, the sensors associated with them and the command and control nodes that directed them, and then the United States would turn its attention on the Chinese naval and merchant fleet.

Before China knew what was happening, it would be cut off from the overseas sources of energy and raw materials that fuel its import/export economy. Within weeks it would be without fuel and its factories would be shuttered. The American economy, established in a nation that has most of the resources domestically available, would be able to ride out the storm, even if China attempted to climb the escalation ladder and attack targets in North America.

For China, it is better for them to get their more bellicose voices under control and approach the bargaining table with the United States over trade issues in good faith and with an openness to real compromise on the economic issues that divide our two nations, rather than resorting to nationalist saber rattling.

Xi Jinping should try harder to understand his real strategic position while remembering that he who rides the tiger finds it difficult to dismount. There will be no return to global hegemony or Middle Kingdom status. China brought its candle out from under the basket too soon, and its broader, aggressive ambitions have been revealed.

As for the United States, it should follow the lead of President Trump and his new acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan, who between them have identified that we are in an era of great power competition that will require more effort and that the focus of that competition is China, and China and China.

Paul Emery

Our Liar in Chief lies again. Do any of you believe what he said is true?

"President Trump held a rambling, stream-of-consciousness press event Friday afternoon in the Rose Garden and made many statements that defy belief. Among them, that he’s talked with several previous presidents and they all told him they should have built a wall on the Southern border.

“This should have been done by all of the presidents that preceded me,” Trump told reporters, about building a wall.

“some of them have told me that we should have done it,” he claimed.

He is claiming that at least two (some is more than 1) of the following presidents said they should have built a wall on the Southern border: Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Barack Obama.

Which of this group would have said that? As I understand it none of them will even speak to Trump let alone agree with him that they should have done it. Obviously eliminating Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama that leaves the two Bushes. Fat chance. What a liar.

Maduro is set to be sworn in on Thursday for a second six-year term after holding controversial early elections May 20.
The elections were boycotted by most of the opposition and widely condemned by the international community.

On Friday, foreign ministers from 12 Latin American countries and Canada announced in Lima that their governments would not recognize Maduro as president if he attempts to remain in office and urged him to turn over power to the National Assembly.

OK,, you go ECO nuts.
"The practice of human composting—converting remains into soil that can be returned to loved ones—may soon be available to folks in Washington.

“People from all over the state who wrote to me are very excited about the prospect of becoming a tree or having a different alternative for themselves,” Sen. Jamie Pedersen (D), sponsor of a bill to expand the options for disposing of human remains, told NBC News."

A new mix for the pot grows?

Brazil has thrown off the greenie handcuffs -

Yet instead, it seems as though Western Greens are saddling up for a major confrontation with Bolsonaro. On December 27, the Sierra Club magazine headlined a story, “What Will It Take to Rein in the Trump of Brazil? Brazil’s president-elect threatens the planet.” In that article—which reads exactly like the lefty imperialism that Ernesto Araújo was railing against—the Sierra Club declares, “Bolsonaro has shown a responsiveness to economic and international pressure, which could be one way to contain him.”

We might pause over that word: contain. That is, the people of Brazil just elected a new leader, knowing full well of his pro-growth agenda. And yet now, the Sierra Club, and other Western Greens, seek to contain him—and, by extension, to contain the Brazilian standard of living.

Will Brazilian nationalists be pleased to discover that the Greens are actively using international financial levers against their country? And how will ordinary Brazilians respond to these threats to their standard of living? It will be interesting to see what happens in this looming standoff.

re: Fish@11:18PM

No surprise of course.

I've always had a feeling that people actually think that the Soviet Union had a more equal distribution of wealth than gilded age or modern America.

No doubt, in the case of communism, the next time'll be different.

Another lie from our Liar in Chief

“We have won against ISIS,” Mr. Trump declared in a video posted Wednesday evening on Twitter, adding, “Our boys, our young women, our men — they’re all coming back, AND THEY'RE COMING BACK NOW”

Today John Bolton said:

" President Donald Trump’s national security adviser said Sunday that the American military withdrawal from northeastern Syria is conditioned on defeating the remnants of the Islamic State group and on Turkey assuring the safety of U.S.-allied Kurdish fighters.

John Bolton said there is NO TIMETABLE FOR THE PULLOUT, but insisted the military presence is not an unlimited commitment.

“There are objectives that we want to accomplish that condition the withdrawal,” Bolton told reporters in Jerusalem before heading to Turkey on Monday, where he will be joined by the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford. “The timetable flows from the policy decisions that we need to implement.”

Those conditions, he said, included defeating what’s left of IS in Syria and protecting Kurdish militias who have fought alongside U.S. troops against the extremist group."

"Coming back now"- another lie from our liar in chief.

Our "illegal war" dude wants the war to continue.
What happened to your "bring our troops home!" rant?
Oh... Because Trump is doing it.. Got it....

“The University of Wisconsin - Madison "educator" said that she teaches her students the alleged "connection" between white liberalism and white supremacy.”

When Bernie Sanders (VT-Socialist) campaigned in Seattle to a crowd of 20,000 in 2016, his address was interpreted by some young female members of BLM. The took the microphone. What struck me most was some signs the young BLM disrupters waved that read “Stop White Liberalism Supremacy”. Those signs have always stuck me as being at the root of their grievance. I certainly would like to explore more on the topic of stopping White Liberalism Supremacy.

One would think that pride in ownership was a universal trait, but what do I know? Maybe car washes are just another legacy of White Liberalism Supremacy.

Voter fraud

On the application, boxes affirming the applicant is both 18 and a U.S. citizen are already checked with an “X” in the Yes field.

Mr. Churchwell said the party was putting immigrants in a tough position, as evidenced by the number of them who were calling state officials wondering if there’s been some change allowing them to vote

Looks like the FUE is encouraging that new gal Ocasio-Cortez to start some lap dancing lessons for her fellow democrat babes. She is cute so maybe she can make some extra dough for the rent in DC. Anyway, what the left thinks is important really is too funny to repeat in polite company.

Oh and maybe the FUE could get Liz Warren off the beer and into his box whine. She won't make any money lap dancing.
