"Interesting that you now ascribe FN and USA Today as leftwing lamestream outlets."

I used FN and USA Today as juxtaposed media examples. But I think you are smart enough to understand that.

Not as fun as walling up the LIBS, but just as tasty.
"This week, CBS Miami reported that Cuomo “blamed budget shortfalls on the state of Florida. … He said New Yorkers are fleeing to the sunshine state to save big time on taxes.” "
Well NO SHIT!!!
"CBS Miami talked to Barry Horowitz, “a CPA and estate planner [who] says last year was one of his busiest” because wealthy New Yorkers are desperate to get out from under that state’s crushing tax burden"

AND of course,, Trump is to blame. NOT the "tax the sh*t out of ya'" LIBs.

You see,, this is how the real "redistribution" of wealth works.
We take our wealth and LEAVE.

Bill Tozet

El Chapo? Isn’t that a Mexican Resturant in East LA?

Coming full circle Part 1.
Representative Ilhan Omar has recently been forced by Nancy Pelosi and other Democrat Congresswomen to apoligize for her racist and anti-Semitic remarks. Today she found her voice again and characterizes all criticism of her as racism.

Coming full circle Part 2. When I was a kid, ‘moron’ jokes were the thing. Later came Pollock jokes, which were just recycled moron jokes with the word moron exchanged for the word Pollock. Then came the Blonde jokes about dumb blondes. Well, we have come full circle. We are back to Moron jokes.

Todd Juvinall

New York audits Rush Limbaugh every year even though he left there in 1997. And he left because of high taxes. My guess is Cuomo is running out of other people's money. And now that they are murdering babies, his monetary future is uncertain for the state at best.

,,,Altered Walter is whining about a Muslim congress member mentioning something about Israel,,,remember the tiki torcher white supremicists mob,,,all good people,,,chanting ‘’’the jews will not replace us’’’???

see ya,,,wouldn’t want to be ya

She's your kind of gal KKKeachie. Didn't have enough bucks to attend the tiki torch party? Funny you woul remember what they were yapping about.

I guess we (well,, I) can give Swallows a break. I found many of "him" out there.. Life sure must have been HELL in high school. (poor bastard)
Yaa,,, I would have turned LIB too.

Kamala Harris Got So High Smoking Weed in College She Thought She Was Listening To Snoop Dogg and Tupac.

In an interview yesterday with the radio show The Breakfast Club, Harris admitted to smoking weed in college (“I did inhale,” she said, laughing, “I just broke news!”) and that she listened to Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur while getting high. Here’s the problem: Harris graduated from Howard in 1986 and law school in 1989. Snoop Dogg, then known as Snoop Doggy Dogg, didn’t get started until 1992 and Tupac’s “career did not take off until the early 1990s when he debuted in Digital Underground’s ‘Same Song’ from the soundtrack to the 1991 film Nothing but Trouble.”

So either Harris was baked enough to time travel or she hit the bong after being in school. Not cool for a candidate whose slogan is “speaking truth, demanding justice.” Most likely, she’s just trying to curate a playlist that sends the right message. In this, she’s hardly alone.

Source: Instapundit Tom Sullivan KFBK 1530 AM covered in extensively on his radio program today.

Russ.. Did she explain her sleeping with Willy Brown?
She HAD to be real stoned to do that.

"remember the tiki torcher white supremacists mob,,,all good people,,,chanting ‘’’the jews will not replace us’’’???"

Sure, there's always a few of those people. There was also the Challenger of Peace(tm), although I think the guy just panicked and ran into a group of people.

However, they weren't members of Congress.

"Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. "

Of course, if Robert Cross ran for office, we'd be poking the Israelis into the sea with bayonets.

Recent immigrants always seem to haul along the baggage of their home countries. The trick is to make them into Americans, and I'm afraid those days are over.

Bill Toz

My inner conspiracy theorist said from Day One that whole blackface non-story was just to distract from the horrid optics of the Far Far Left cheering wildly in NYC and Virginia the killing of newborn babies. Not fetuses, not a clinical blob of cells, not something that cannot survive outside a woman’s womb, but babies. Babies. It’s a line that had not been crossed up to that moment in our country’s history. Like the NGD, let’s not talk about it in polite company.
“I can tell you exactly what would happen,” Northam said. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

You might be turned off by Trump’s use of the word “execute,” but his contention is accurate. Haberman, who is ostensibly an unbiased professional journalist, has yet to explain why she would forward an obvious falsehood to her many readers.

The same game is being played with the Green New Deal proposal......”

Well, if the media refuses to talk about it, our President will. He don’t care about being PC.

Quotes from this moment in time and space:

Throwing down the gauntlet: “Getting attention does not equal effective leadership. That is a reality that U.S. House Rep. Ilhan Omar urgently needs to grasp as she settles into her new role representing Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District. … With an apology comes the expectation of change and personal growth. Omar’s two tweets from the past weekend made it clear that hasn’t happened. The flippant tone of one of her statements also underscores doubts about her judgment, particularly when this latest communications crisis could have been easily avoided.” —Star Tribune editorial

Race bait: “Republicans have prospered as a party that has appealed to fear for years. … The appeals to fear are always sort of the man behind the screen, or now the man in front of the screen, in Republican Party politics. So because we don’t have candidates that do that and we don’t have a recent party history of doing that, we will not produce anybody like Donald Trump from a crowded primary field.” —Sen. Sherrod Brown

Braying Jackass: “The reason that they [ICE] are already 8,000 [beds] over their budgeted amount — so they’re violating the budget — is because of the president’s zero-tolerance policy that has turned everyone, regardless of their record, into a criminal. For example, if you cross the border undocumented, [Trump] has now made you a criminal. If a person has a driving while under the influence violation, he is now making that, saying that’s criminal.” —Sen. Bob Menendez

Non Compos Mentis: “Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building. He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers.” —Sen. Ed Markey complaining that McConnell will actually hold a Senate vote on the Green New Deal

And last… “[The Green New Deal] sounds like a high-school term paper that got a low mark. It would shut down American energy. … It would shut down a little thing called air travel. How do you take a train to Europe?” —Donald Trump

Bonus Quote: “What I heard Trump say at the SOTUS was he would uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. He did not say those exact words, butthat what Iheard.” ——another anonymous Never Trumper that has has found a home.

Mr Tozer, might not another 241pm spelling of your "Pollock" be Polak, or something similar?

Bill Tozer

BillT 347pm - Now I definitely feel like the outclassed slow student; oh well.

Bill Tozer

CA versus NV

This is not something I have read or heard....just been thinking.

When the illegal alien up in the Carson City/Reno area murdered 4 elderly Americans, he was held in a Nevada jail. At the time of his arrest, his only crime at that time was perhaps suspicion of burglary. Perhaps being in possession of some stolen property of no great value. No gun was found, no hard evidence of murder. Just a suspect.

How lucky for all of us he was arrested in Nevada, not CA. First, in CA he would been OR’ed and released. Nothing to hold him on. Maybe a 24 hour hold, max. Not true for Nevada. They held him on an immigration hold. In CA, no criminal record, no real immigration hold, just a misdemeanor. No bail needed.

Imagine if Nevada was like CA and the suspected murderer was released. He might have gone straight to Truckee and murdered some more there. He might have made it to Nevada City or The Ridge. He might still be walking around free as bird.

Yes, it’s all speculations and “what if’s”, but thank goodness he was in a non-sacturary State when he did the heinous crimes. Thank our lucky stars.

Bill Tozer

She is just saying what the far left has been saying all my life.

“[Immigrants are] coming to our border asking for their human rights to be recognized to seek asylum,” said Omar, a Muslim immigrant from Somalia who won her House seat in November 2018. “And we are welcoming them to torture, detention, separation and more pain or heartache. So today, and every day until this nightmare ends, this stain of our country’s history ends, we say ‘not under our watch.’”

Well things could be worse Swallows,, you could have had this guy's last name.
"The government denied David Assman a personalized license plate featuring his last name because it contained an explicit term for rear end"
It could even get worse.
"Late-night talk show host David Letterman did a segment in 1995 that covered the story of Dick Assman, a Regina gas station worker"

I do happen to know a gentleman by the name of Titman.(lucky bastard.) Judging by the looks of his wife, he lives up to his name.

Unfortunately cruel heartless manipulative political actors and radicals have taken advantage of those in need, and are utilizing them now as lethal weapons of invasion of political influence, and as their own private parties of picketing mobs. That’s what this is,” he said.
“Let’s not lose our real capacity of analysis. The migrant caravans are not spontaneous. They are being politically orchestrated and well-funded with a specific political objective.”

I am SHOCKED, shocked I say!

Portland and Frisco love their terrorists, as well as illegals.
"Over the objection of the city's police chief and mayor, Portland, Oregon's city council on Wednesday narrowly voted to stop cooperating with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), citing alleged surveillance of left-wing activists and arguing that the partnership between local officials and federal authorities was ultimately ineffective."

Gotta protect ANTIFA.... A domestic Terrorist ORG.

Don Bessee

OH NO your can not include ANTIFA in the domestic terrorists list so we are taking our toys and going home meanies! But ya we know you can still do your thing fascists say the socialist -

Over the objection of the city's police chief and mayor, Portland, Oregon's city council on Wednesday narrowly voted to stop cooperating with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), citing alleged surveillance of left-wing activists and arguing that the partnership between local officials and federal authorities was ultimately ineffective.

Law enforcement officials said a similar decision by San Francisco officials in 2017 had endangered the public, and that the NYPD's membership in the JTTF had helped foil numerous terrorists, including would-be Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad.

Portland, a virulently left-wing city whose mayor has said he "can't wait" to leave office, has had a rocky relationship with the JTTF. The city joined the partnership in the 1990s, left shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and signed back up in 2015

,,,sounds like fun spending those billions El Chapo supposedly has but you don’t know how much money is there or where it is,,,

something you won’t hear at the ‘’’Build the Wall’’’ roundtable is that ‘’’Furthermore, most Texas Republicans in Congress have expressed opposition to the wall, and it has no support among Senate Democrats.’’’

Nope! LIBS do not like the Daily Caller. It actually asks the good questions.
"“I am wondering why you won’t answer questions on the Green New Deal?” Rodgers asked.
“I won’t answer questions to the Daily Caller, period! You’re trash,” Menendez responded.
“Why do you think we’re trash, sir?” the reporter followed.
“Don’t keep harassing me anymore or I’ll race to the Capitol Police,” the New Jersey Democrat threatened.

Hey Bob.. It's not a good idea to pick fights with those with a REAL BIG readership.

Todd Swallows

El Chapo MIGHT be worth $14b, but the Mexicans say his worth is now more like $4b (down from $10b last fall.) They aren't giving Trump a red cent. By the time the US lays hands on any of it, it will be worth a few pesos. Trumpster and Rebanistas can dream on if they think Mexico will give up pesos largo to build a wall.

I believe this issue was raised Jan 8 by Mr Cruz and is only now being resurrected by the Circle of Jerks. Through lack of diligence. the Circle of Jerks only learned of this today and are outraged (unhinged) they weren't kept in the loop by Fox news. Should have been watching NPR all along.

Bill Tozet

Here is a issue that reaayv has chapped my hide. Thank you Mr. Pres for closing this Obama loophole that gave those lying fraudulent piece of shit dishonest illegals thousands of dollars our rad earned tax dollars a year. Thank you, thank you, thank you. If you tax return is bigger than the taxes you paid, you ain’t a taxpayer.

6 minute video, so I don’t expect anyone to watch it. How Obama, the IRS, and DeLeon encouraged illegals to use stolen SSI numbers. Thank goodness that piece of shit DeLeon lost to that Chinese spy loving Feinstein. The Left always puts foreigners ahead of citizens. Always.

50% +1

George Rebane

re ToddS 1007pm - Actually, this has been known for some time, but Sen Cruz's proposal was brought up again and made national news earlier this week as Congress was negotiating the border security amount to avoid the next shutdown. Someone again was not looking beyond the lamestream.

And we note the Left's constant reference to RR commenters as the "Circle of Jerks", a circle of which membership they make up at least half of those who regularly comment here. Perhaps they distinguish themselves only by the content of their comments.

Well Lefties,, you have a Calif. LIB running for President who is making BS up already. Can't she do simple math?
Then when one pays LESS in taxes, you will get LESS in a refund.
So rich guy didn't skim off his share.(as Swallows and Bobby would like to believe)
"Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., a 2020 presidential hopeful, is under fire for claiming that lower tax refunds are a sign that the Trump tax cuts are “a middle-class tax hike”
"“The average tax refund is down about $170 compared to last year. Let’s call the President’s tax cut what it is: a middle-class tax hike to line the pockets of already wealthy corporations and the 1 percent,” she said in a tweet."

Todd Swallows

Closing a deduction is a tricky way for Trump to raise your taxes and still claim he didn't raise your taxes. Tax prep fees, casualty and theft losses, IRA fees, many donations, moving expenses, etc., etc., etc, are no longer deductible however, maintenance and fees on your PRIVATE JET are now deductible. Now tell me the little guy didn't just get hosed at the rich cats expense. Or maybe you have a private jet?

I thought this one was especially odious. Hire an attorney to sue on your behalf. When you win the judgement a prearranged fee goes directly to your lawyer - it is his income for being your lawyer - but YOU get to pay the income tax on his earnings. The fat cat lawyers are laughing all the way to the bank. Put that in your pipe and tell us again how Trump is fighting for the little guy.

Bill Tozer

Polls, polls.
1) We have covered this for years. Boardman and others have written editorials about it in the Union. Numerous links covering the business outflow of California from the Orange County Register (which covers business outflows to other states) have been posted on these boards from Russ and others. Nothing new here, just another poll.
A new poll reveals that 53% of California residents are considering leaving the Golden State because of the high cost of living.

The “Trust Barometer” poll, by Edelman Intelligence, was conducted January 4-20 among 1,500 California residents, with a margin of error of 2.5%. A special oversample of 400 tech workers in the San Francisco Bay Area was also conducted, with a margin of error of 4.8%.

The results are sobering. Nearly two-thirds, 62%, of respondents said they believed the best days of California were in the past.

2) Another poll. Support for single payer Medicare for all is down 50%

George Rebane

Walt 905am - With statements like that, Kamala Harris confirms that she resides somewhere between stupid and evil. Drawing such conclusions without citing the actual tax amounts paid (i.e. taxes saved) is the kind of intellectual pabulum that her constituents (some commenting above) consume with relish. It's not nice to lead your light thinkers into the weeds of innumeracy.

Bill Tozer

Taxes, taxes, taxes and wage earners.

I was surprised that the standard deduction was raised to $12,000 for single filers. Child credit was also raised. That will help renters the most on the standard deduction and the child tax credit helps families. Don’t see how renters being capped at 10K for mortgage, property tax, and interest deductions will hurt, lol. Some always get helped, some always get pinched....from filing status to exemptions to deductions to source of income. AGI is the bottom line. Then there are those who file Schedule D, C, E, etc.

The IRS redoing the withholding tables who those who draw a stray paycheck seems to lead to confusion. Having less taxes withheld from your weekly or biweekly paycheck means smaller refunds at filing time.

I remember following the private plane repair deductions awhile back during the previous administration. It was pushed hard by the mechanics and machinist unions. I also remember the temporary cut of SSI witholdings Obama implemented during the Great
Recession. I opposed that because SSI is unsustainable (shaky ground) at current projections looking over the horizon . Knocking an employee’s FICA from 6% to 4% seemed shortsighted to moi. Sure, it resulted in a 2% bump in take home pay (average 6 bucks a weeek) but it was in reality a 33% FICA cut going into the SS Trust Fund. When that ended, people thought they got a tax hike, lol. Now
Now, folks got a smaller return but more taxhome pay and the media says Trump scewed the little guy. Insert lol here.

To support Walt’s 9:05 am

Come on now Swallow,, you can't have it both ways.
Bitch about people not paying "their fair share" then griping about what you can't deduct. So as long as that "fair share" ain't coming from you,,,, well you SHOULD get the idea...
Or are you just that butt stupid?

OK Swallow,, want more money next time? Build in more withholding.
You CAN do that. So give the GOV. a free, no interest loan.
What? can't deduct tax prep? Use Turbo Tax! It's FREE!(do your own damned taxes.)

Didn't the LIBS demand loopholes get closed? OK,, loopholes closed.
You got what you wanted.

Scenes,,. The vary pretty Gavin can't give it back. Brown and crew already pissed it away.

Bil Tozer

Scenes @ 10:44 am

Hotter than a goat’s butt in a pepper patch. ::). Devil is in the details. Both Gavin and Trump are wrong, but the Twitter jabbing is fun. If not Trump, then who will take it to them? Who speaks for the little guy left holding the bag?
The contact (from memory) says that 120 miles of line has to be completed by 2022 or the 3.5 B goes back to Uncle Sam. That’s what all parties agreed to. So, Gavin has time and Trump has his devilish fun. The forgottten man is forgotten no mas. Give ‘em Harry!

I don’t think 120 miles from Fresno will make it to Butttonwlllows. And the State prop said it has to pay for itself,, i. e., self sustaining. Those will be some expensive tickets.

Proggys... TRAITORS!!! One and all. You wanted your illegals,, YOU GOT'M.

The border spending bill for the Department of Homeland Security offers “$192,700,000 for improved medical care, transportation, and consumables to better ensure the health and safety of migrants who are temporarily in U.S. Customs and Protection] custody,” according to a congressional Explanatory Statement of the provisions.

The spending includes funds to aid and feeds economic migrants as they journey across the border towards jobs in U.S. cities, as well as funds to bus the migrants from the border to pro-migration non-profits:

To facilitate these additional requirements, the conferees provide $192,700,000 above the request to include $128,000,000 for contract medical professionals, $40,200,000 for increased consumable commodities such as food, infant formula and diapers.

Border officials are also directed to bus migrants from reception centers directly to the welcome centers run by pro-migration aid groups:

Within the $114,147,000 increase above the fiscal year 2018 funding level for the Transportation and Removal Program, ICE is directed to provide for the transportation of migrants to such shelters based on where collaborating organizations have open sheltering capacity, including during surge periods. ICE shall immediately notify the Committees in advance of any decision to deny such transportation.

The flow of cheap workers to U.S. cities is a boon to business groups because it lowers their payroll costs and spikes their sales of food, autos, and housing to migrants. Government agencies also benefit from the inflow of more poor people — while ordinary Americans pay the price of reduced wages and raised housing costs.

,,,What a hoot!!! Trump to sign bill to keep gubmint open,,,then plans to go all tin pot dictator and declare an emergency

Todd Juvinall

Corna Diddily is Linda Campbell. What a hoot!

Auto loan delinquencies highest since 2002!!!

“Americans carry $686 billion in credit card debt that is not paid in full each month. This estimate includes people paying interest, as well as those carrying a balance on a card with a 0% intro rate. We based the estimate on a CFPB study of credit card account data that found 29% of total credit card balances are paid off each month, implying 71% of credit card balances revolve each month. We applied the percentage to the Federal Reserve’s revolving credit balance data less $74 billion in non-credit card revolving debt to reach $686 billion in credit card balances carried over month to month.
43.8% of credit card accounts aren’t paid in full each month, according to the American Bankers Association. Those who don’t pay in full tend to have higher balances, which is why the percentage of balances not paid in full (71%) is higher than the percentage of accounts not paid in full (43.8%).
The average credit card balance is $6,348 for individuals with a credit card, according to Experian. This excludes store credit cards, which have an average balance of $1,841. Both figures include the statement balances of individuals who pay their balance in full each month.”

And income tax refunds are not as high as expected with trumpski tax breaks for the rich!!!

Where is the po ol trumpski cheerleader???

Since you (wisely) don’t do FB,, I will spelll it out for ya.

Last year 449,000 Californians received a jury summons to which they replied.......

The number one source of jury summons candidates is the VOTER REGISTRATION list.

Think about that for a minute.

Quotes from this moment in time and space:

Upright: “If your first response to Democratic nut-jobbery is to get defensive about Republican blowback, you’re no longer a journalist. You’re merely a hack. You are, as President Trump would put it, ‘fake news’ — an activist masquerading as a journalist. I suppose this means I’m pouncing on the media, though.” —Ben Shapiro

Predictions: “Even if the special counsel regulations did not mandate confidentiality, ordinary Justice Department guidelines against public commentary about uncharged persons would do so. … There is thus a very good chance that … Mueller’s report will not result in any statement about the president other than that the investigation is closed.” —Andrew McCarthy on the likelihood of a “nothingburger” report

For the record: “I understand the Democrats that proposed [the Green New Deal] immediately tried to retract that white paper that went along with their resolution. And too many people in the media have been complicit in the Stalin-like or 1984 technique of disappearing it, sending it down the memory hole.” —Sen. Tom Cotton

Friendly fire: “I am for a jumpstart of the [Green New Deal] discussion and a framework. … I’m not for reducing air travel.” —Sen. Amy Klobuchar

Moon shot: “There’s a lot of people now going back on the Green New Deal. They’re like, ‘Oh, it’s impractical. Oh, it’s too expensive. Oh, it’s all of this.’ If we used to govern our dreams that way, we would have never gone to the moon.” —Sen. Cory Booker

Sounds like you’ve already boxed yourself in: “I’m not going to box myself in, but should I become [the Democrat nominee], you know I’ll be looking to women first.” —Cory Booker

And last… “As I’ve said many times, abolish the withholding system and make people actually write a check to the government. America will be transformed for the better overnight. People will finally realize how much the government is really taking. True accountability will follow.” —Matt Walsh

BIllT: "The contract (from memory) says that 120 miles of line has to be completed by 2022 or the 3.5 B goes back to Uncle Sam."

Fresno to Bakersfield is 114, or so claims google maps.

That'll be a perfect coda to the whole affair. If it comes to pass, I'll go there and have a cocktail on the Fresno Flier.

If we wait for a while, we'll hear about the economic importance of the Fresno to Kettleman City spur line.

Bill Tozer

Scenes...thanks. I knew it as soon as I accidentally hit “go button” and am mosttired of making corrections. Touch pad going out and going haywire. Grrrrrrr.
I really meant Modesto or Madera, not Fresno. Fresno is about 200 miles from LA, Bakersfield about a hundred. Hope they stop at Anderson’s Pea Soup, or is that above Fresno? Maybe a spur to Taft from Bakersfield.

Throwing a tantrum Dougy? The wall will be built. Despite Proggy game playing.

Oh... No impeachment. Muller is chasing windmills. HELL! No report may ever see the light of day! Get ready for a real big buttsore.

Bill Tozer

It’s Valentine’s Day, fellas. Hugs and kisses. Don’t forget to buy your sweetie a new vacumn cleaner or threadmill. Candy is dandy....cheaper than diamonds. :)

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, it’s the one year anniversary of the Parkland School Shooting. I really expected more protests and marches, a bunch of old Dems doing the sit-in resistant thing on the House floor room waiting for their catered meals, or at least David Piglet Hogg speeches replayed 24/7 like on MLK Day. But, noooooo. How lame.

Speaking of lame, are we going to have another Townhall to follow up on last year’s scarey gun confab? Talk about worthless as teats on a boar. Dr. Rebane told them and told them the facts of life. They did not listen. Now, one year later the long and thorough investigation of the shooting is completed and recommendations for Stoneman High and other public schools contained in the draft report are out. At least in good summary form.

Report recommends that the school have armed personnel on campus. More guns than just a “resource officer” riding around on an electric golf cart. Have some teachers, administrators, coaches, and even counselors ready to shoot back. More guns on campus, not less, is the answer.
Blame falls on school and the politicalized Sheriff of Coward County.

Double downing on lame is “listening to the children.” The Union said 200 students walked out in solidarity with the Parkland students. Then, on the Union’s Year In Review the last week of 2018, it said the young NU student quickly organized a walk out and 100 students joined him out the door. NU is what, 1,200 students? So, the fine young teenager (child?) got 8% to follow him? Not even one in ten? Why listen to him, he don’t know shat. 8% and the paper made it look like something big was going down, lol. And they gave him more air time at the Prevent School Shooting Townhall than they gave our knowledgeable and spot on Dr. Rebane. How lame is dat? Listen to the children my Aunt Petunia.

Todd Juvinall

Looks like the Wall will get done. Trump has outsmarted the democrats again!

Hear queen Nan? She says the "next president" can declare a "gun emergency". That would start the next civil war.
NO PRESIDENT can amend the Bill of Rights by decree.

I wonder how many new members the NRA got when she said that?

Paul Emery

Trump down by 14 ib RCP polling Mitch down by 20. Repubs are in the skids and it will only get worse.

Donald Trump 40.8 55.4 -14.6

Mitch McConnell 25.0 45.4 -20.4

"I really meant Modesto or Madera, not Fresno. Fresno is about 200 miles from LA, Bakersfield about a hundred. Hope they stop at Anderson’s Pea Soup, or is that above Fresno? Maybe a spur to Taft from Bakersfield."

This gives me a good idea.

We could have pea soup tasting on the San Joaquin Valley High Speed Train Tour.

Watch the farm labor at 200 mph while you sip soup. Drop the Tesla off for a recharge in Kettleman City while you ride the rails, back in time to drive home to a nice evening of sushi and step-over-the-poop in The City.

California Dreamin'.

lol. Now there's a surprise.

Next thing you know, they'll be off to charming NC to put up some more stinkass sign stenciling.

Breaking news. It was a hoax. He was being written out of the script orsomething!!

And to think Kamala Harris called it a modern day lynching. And Corey “I haven’t found the right guy yet” Booker called it a modern day lynching. And the cops said yesterday that the phone records they requested were not enough to even continue the investigation. And he hired Weinstein’s PR firm.

The Circle of Jerks called this one. From yesterday:

Bill Tozer

Breaking news again!!!!!!!

McCabe’s book confirms it and new intel released. We are on it. All the ducks are in a row. We, dear Americans, survived a failed coup over a period of 8 days. Wow. Sedition.

Go back to playing with your dolls Emery.
Still President, an not a Proggy's chance in Heaven of getting impeached.

Paul Emery

What poll ius that you cite Todd?

Bill Tozer

@4:52 pm
Walt, did you not mean “.....your Ann Couter doll”?

Watching AOC is what I call having too much fun. Dr. Rebane was spot on again. Whatever costly security measures are required, it is worth its weight in gold to keep her safe, secure, and speaking her mind.

Well.. The head pivot of the jerk circle is back to his meaningless poll. Does Ann still have her cloths on Paul?

Paul Emery

This is from Nate Silver who usually gets it right

"President Trump will declare a national emergency and seek money to build a border wall, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Thursday, moments before the U.S. Senate passed a compromise spending bill that didn’t include wall funding.

If Trump follows through on the emergency declaration, he’ll be doing something that large majorities of Americans oppose — and he’ll be doing it at right as his job approval ratings had begun to rebound following the partial government shutdown in December and January.

Indeed, the act of declaring a national emergency to build a wall is even more unpopular than the wall itself — and the wall isn’t popular. Polls as tracked by PollingReport.com show an average of 32 percent of Americans in favor of the declaration and 65 percent opposed. Even in an era where many of Trump’s top priorities poll only in the low-to-mid-40s, that’s an especially large split, with roughly twice as many voters opposed as in favor."

Nate Silver does NOT usually get it right. Rasmussen usually gets it right.

Poison pillls aren’t the words for it. If you can’t build on Federal and State Lan, then where do you start???

“There’s no ability to adapt. Furthermore, section 231 prohibits construction even within the RGV in five locations that are either federal or state lands. Remember, the challenge with building a wall in Texas is that, unlike in other states, the feds need to navigate issues with private lands. The first place you’d construct fencing is on public lands, which are now prohibited. The national parks along the border have gotten so bad that park rangers are scared to travel alone in them.”

It’s a trap. How can Trump declare a national emerrgenecy if he agrees to this bill and signs it? He (we) would be stuck with th provisions. It’s a trap. Veto the bill first, then declare a NE or agree to a continuing resoulution.

Bill Tozer

If Trump signs it, alll the restrictions would apply to the Nationa Emergency. No money for AZ..

It’s the MS-13 Protection Act.

Paul Emery

AS an example Nate \Silver had it exactly right in calling the Democratic takeover of the House. He predicted the Dems would win 39 seats, they actually won 4o. Rasmussen was 9 points off. Todd predicted the Repubs would gain in the house. He has no credibility on this issue Here's a link

Don Bessee

Well he is an actor, a bad one it turns out. While the security cameras in the area never saw the 'incident' it did allow them to id the 2 friends and snatch them up at the airport.

You go with that Paul. Your side has shown your batshit craziness from the day of the last election. RED Cortez and Omar the anti Semite Muslim will get the nation to throw all the LIBS out.
You think Queen Nan and her threat to take guns will be forget? (tie that tail a little tighter)
The smearing of Trump for two years and bogus accusations and an attempted coupe by the butthurt deep state.

And just what do you Proggys have to sell the nation to get elected?

Paul Emery

Just going with the facts Walt, sorry if they are a little harsh. The Repubs lost 40 house seats in the mid terms. Nate Silver predicted 39, Todd predicted the Repubs would pick up seats. Kinda harsh but true. And you guys still believe in the Rasmussen Poll even though it was thoroughly discredited in the last election and was 9 points off the mark.

I got your facts "right here" (polls ain't facts)
This is how LIB bastards write border security Bills.
Trump is more that right to declare and emergency.

"A key provision in the spending bill being presented to President Trump for signing stipulates that the federal government give specific Texas border counties the opportunity to derail any efforts to build barriers, fencing, or walls by simply opposing the construction of the border security measures–but many of the specified counties have a long and recent history of top officials taking bribes from the Mexican Gulf Cartel. Ultimately, the bill allows county offices with historic ties to the Gulf Cartel to stop U.S. border barriers from being constructed in the region."

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emert uses discredited polling agencies. Rasmussen is the most accurate.

And has to go back to talking about the past. Just can't deal with current events.....

The Left has dropped any last vestiges of any pretense they care for sovereignty or who is allowed in here for any country of the world. They intend to deport no one, to prevent on one (with the exception of hardened criminals and those on the terror watch list) from coming in. They have proven, by this bill, they not only oppose stopping undeterred illegal immigration, they want to send billions to encourage it. Even to the point of rewriting the law of what the definition of a human smuggler is and make those smugglers exempt from criminal charges.

From cheering infanticide, to planning and attempting a soft coup against a sitting US President, to destroying the rule of law and replacing it with the rule of those who seek power and control over all....above all else, the Leftinistas have shown they are a soulless dangerous out of control tornado ripping and unrooting everything in its path on its way to socialism at a minimum.

Oh, happy Valentine’s Day.

Bill Tozer

Not one penny to hire one single ICE agent in the interior. Deport no one. 40 billion for aid for foreigners and foreign countries, 1.35 B for sovereignty. 40 billion for them, 1B for US citizens and legal immigrants.

Its going to be an epic battle but there are options out there -

Let Twitter buy the wall.
ivate talks.

A multibillion-dollar fine would amount to a reckoning for Facebook in the United States after a series of privacy lapses that may have put the personal information of its users at risk. Lawmakers have faulted the company for mishandling that data while failing to crack down on other other digital ills, including the rise of online hate speech and the spread of disinformation from Russian operatives and other foreign actors.

"Facebook faces a moment of reckoning and the only way it will come is through an FTC order with severe penalties and other sanctions that stop this kind of privacy misconduct going forward," said Democratic Sen Richard Blumenthal, of Connecticut.

You are delusional. You predicted the Republicans would gain in the House in the midterms. Is that what happened Todd?

Don Bessee

Here is one for the po' ol' fakenewsman -

It’s been two days since NBC’s exclusive reporting that the Senate Intelligence Committee has found no material evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, and as of yet none of the three major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) have given it even a single second of airtime in their evening newscasts. Considering these networks have given the Russia probe a massive 2,202 minutes of airtime, their silence on this major development is deafening.

MRC analysts examining all coverage on ABC’s World News Tonight, the CBS Evening News, and the NBC Nightly News found that those 2,202 minutes spent on the Russia investigation accounted for nearly 19 percent of all Trump-related reporting between January 21, 2017 and February 10, 2019. However none of those three shows have even mentioned the investigation since NBC’s report came out on February 12.

And in WAY better shape than you Dougy.

Kinda long, but a good read. We have heard from a lot of PhDs, so how about hearing from a PhD in French. We have a problem and it won’t require more money thrown at it or smaller classrooms to fix.

“Why should millions of perfectly normal adolescents, not all of them ghettoized, resist being educated? The reason is that they know deep down that due to the color of their skin, less is expected of them. This they deeply resent. How could they not resent being seen as less capable? It makes perfect psychological sense. Being very young, however, they cannot articulate their resentment, or understand the reasons for it, especially since the adults in charge hide the truth. So they take out their rage on the only ones they can: themselves and their teachers.

They also take revenge on a fraudulent system that pretends to educate them. The authorities cover up their own incompetence, and when that fails, blame the parents and teachers, or lack of funding, or “poverty,” “racism,” and so on. The media follow suit. Starting with our lawmakers, the whole country swallows the lie.

Think of free college for all and then think of millions entering college with a 5th grade education level. Houston, we do indeed have a problem looking down the road.

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery you are delusional. You predicted Hillary Clinton would win the Presidency. Looks like you are worse at predictions than me bub.

Paul Emery

Didn't vote for Hillary Todd. Who did you vote for?

,,,VP Pence,,,total hypocrite,,,you cannot make this stuff up!!! What a hoot!!!

,,,and he is talking about ‘’’mere’’’ executive action,,,

Todd Juvinall

The winner. But tell me why you constantly defend the democrats while telling us you never voted for their candidates. Well except Obama.

Barry Pruett

Todd Juvinall

And I never said you voted for Hillary so your reading skills need some help. You did tell us on a daily basis during the campaign she would win. Why did she lose?

"You predicted Hillary Clinton would win the Presidency. "

"Didn't vote for Hillary Todd."

Nice dodge......!

I'm sure Gregory wouldn't mind mind recounting again your anticipated glee at the psychological trauma you expected for republicans after Hillary won the general Punch!

BillT: "Think of free college for all and then think of millions entering college with a 5th grade education level. "

Thanks for the article, I read it a few days ago as it seemed to pop up lately. I always enjoy the teachin' in the ghetto essays, there are a few out there.

It seems to me that inventing additional pretend college degrees was always in the cards. There are too many people who can afford post secondary education (especially with loans) and an oversupply of labor at that level simply doubles down on the need for the degree. Underutilized people in university have always been a good source for political unrest so expect more from that front.

Given that there's likely to be less for Americans to do, from a combination of automation/mass importation of labor/pushing labor overseas, it seems to me that inner city K-12 schools will take on more of the purpose and trappings of prison. Basically, you keep poorly behaved people under your thumb via make-work and simple physical control over their whereabouts. There'll be lots of handwaving about 'education', but the result is the same.
