Holy guacamole! Did you say that Goldman Sachs favors Trump??!! Say it again!
Did Goldman Sachs boys and girls turned Trumpcateers Jim Donovan, Steven Mnuchin, Dina Powell, Gary Cohn, Jay Clayton or even Steve Bannon have anything to do with putting a thumb on the scales of this "breaking news"? Of course they didn't. You and Bessee are so gullible and easily played. Now, tell us a story (written by the American Petroleum Institute) how climate change is a hoax.

So begins the cannibalism -
Sanders also issued a thinly veiled threat against CAP, warning that he "will be informing my grassroots supporters of the foregoing concerns that I have about the role CAP is playing" and that "should your actions evolve in the coming months, I am happy to reconsider what kind of partnership we can have."
The missive comes days after CAP's ThinkProgress branch published a YouTube video mocking Sanders for spending years attacking "millionaires and billonaires" -- only to change his tune and only criticize "billonaires" shortly after he wrote a bestselling book that made him a millionare. The video prompted a frenzy of social media among progressives as to why a progressive group would try to take down Sanders.
In the letter, first obtained by The New York Times, Sanders said ThinkProgress' in its video "honestly attacked me for hypocrisy in my effort to address income inequality in America." Sanders also said the organization wrote an article mocking him for his "appearance and for the income I earned from writing a book."

If there is AGW,, then smartass can explain why it still snows in Hawaii. Kinda goes against the whole argument.
"This has turned into a memorable week for snow lovers in Hawaii.
Days after a weekend storm dumped rare snow on Maui, another wintry system is forecast Wednesday and Thursday for the tropical island chain.
Mind you, there's only snow forecast for three of Hawaii's tallest mountain peaks: Haleakala on Maui and Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island. Winter storm warnings have been posted for the areas. "

Center for American Progress (CAP) was founded by John Podesta, formerly Bill Clinton’s chief of Staff and Hillary’s 2016 Campaign Manager. What a coincidence.
I can smell My Gal’s claws from here.
No use watching anymore crazy Spartacluz or Pocahontas, or Irish Beto, or Kamala Harris or any of the wacky twenty. It’s all over. The Dems will pick Creepy Uncle Joe. He has too many connections in Congress and too many defenders quick on the draw. Once I found out that the Socialists are only at 10% or so and the far lefties are less than half the Dem Party, it’s all over for the challengers. It’s Biden all the way. The rest is just click bait.
Biden has the old school Black Caucus backing him, will carry the Dem South, and they ain’t going to give the thumbs up to someone who ain’t an Establishment player or who, will rock the boat or shake things up. It’s Biden as the Dem nominee, not matter how loud Rachel and Twitter and the Malcontents cry. They don’t have the numbers. Only 22% of America goes on Twitter. Their noise is louder than their numbers. Hillary in pants.
But, the crop of wackjobs are certainly more entertaining than Creepy Joe, the hugger mugger. The best thing about Creepy Joe is he has no self awareness and is so arrogant. This Dem horserace is much ado about nothing. It’s already been decided.

Yang the commissar -
Perhaps this interpretation seems alarmist; Yang certainly does not mean to design an authoritarian America. But his basic premise is that a revolution is coming, and the solution seems to be the expansion of government power to keep the "normal people" from rising up against their entrepreneurial overlords.
Technological unemployment is a real problem, and likely only to grow in the next ten years. It is heartening to know that there is a candidate for president who is taking it seriously. But Yang's solutions suggest that the only possible way out is a growth in the number of government vassals.

OH YA!
Now, Moore’s latest detractor has gone so far as to accuse President Trump of treason based on the now-discredited Russia collusion hoax. Some people just can’t move on, the facts be damned. To put it mildly, Moore’s enemies are nothing more than embarrassed partisans who are attacking him as a proxy for the president.
Their embarrassment grows from the glaring mistake they made by failing to forecast the current economic surge. That miss has intensified their hatred of President Trump as the economy keeps on growing.
Contrary to their doom and gloom forecasts, the economy created more than 2.6 million jobs in 2018. Both the unemployment rate and initial claims for unemployment benefit are sitting near 50 year lows while year over year wage growth has been at or above 3 percent for eight consecutive months. When President Trump took office, there were nearly 2 million more people unemployed than there were job openings. There are now nearly 900,000 more job openings that people unemployed.
According to a recent poll released by CNN, more than 70 percent of Americans believe the economy is in “good shape,” the highest number to say so in over 18 years.
Moore is exactly the type of “growth hawk” President Trump and the American people need at the Federal Reserve
In fact, had it not been for the Federal Reserve’s ill-advised interest rates hikes last year, the economy would be even stronger than it is now — something Fed Chairman Jerome Powell seemed to recognize when he reversed plans to raise rates even further in 2019. Moore wisely cautioned against rate hikes all along, suggesting that he’ll be a powerful voice within the central bank defending the interests of working Americans.
The Wall Street Journal praised Moore’s prescience on interest rates, saying he “has certainly been proven right in his warning last autumn that the Fed was tightening policy too fast.” The editorial also noted that Moore’s nomination “has triggered a remarkable cascade of derision and condescension from the political left and the poohbahs of the economics academy,” which the Journal’s editors interpreted as a strong indication that “he’s the right man for the job.” They’re right.

LOL!! Solar panels? Not vary "eco" when it comes to making the damned things. So farm the manufacturing out to shithole countries
where those toxic byproducts ain't regulated.(like China)
Then there is Ivanpah solar,,, Had to pipe in NG to burn to try and break even.
https://www.pe.com/2017/01/23/ivanpah-solar-plant-built-to-limit-greenhouse-gases-is-burning-more-natural-gas/
More bad news our ECO bastards refuse to understand.
"Concentrated solar power is not delivering on green energy promises. Behind the hype these futuristic molten-salt power towers are generating only 13 percent of predicted capacity. But their most worrying issues concern problems with thermal energy storage.
If we consider the latest (2017) National Renewable Energy Laboratory Annual Technology Baseline data, [1] and [2], they say current representative technology for concentrating solar power is molten-salt power towers with 10 hours two-tank thermal energy storage. They admit the first (and only) large molten-salt power tower plant with 10 hours of storage is Crescent Dunes, 110 MW, commissioned in 2015."
https://principia-scientific.org/the-failure-of-solar-tower-thermal-energy-storage/
Maybe OOzz would like to live anywher NEAR a wind turbine.
https://www.nationalreview.com/2012/02/wind-energy-noise-pollution-robert-bryce/
"Living near wind turbines can be hazardous to your health.
In his State of the Union address last week, President Barack Obama touted renewable energy and declared that he would “not walk away from workers” such as Bryan Ritterby, who is employed by a wind-turbine manufacturer in Michigan.
But in their rush to embrace the wind-energy business, Obama and numerous other politicians are walking away from rural residents such as David Enz and his wife, Rose. A year ago, the couple abandoned their home near Denmark, Wis., because of the unbearable low-frequency noise produced by a half-dozen 495-foot-high wind turbines that were built near the home they’ve owned since 1978. The closest was installed about 3,200 feet from their house."
But of course OOZZzzhole won't give a crap.. Facts be damned.

BTW OZZhole,, the sun is taking a nap. Something you fail to comprehend.
Oh... Yes... If your "ECO wind and solar" is supposed to be cheap,, then why in hell is it SO expensive?
It's "green" alright, in the form of "$$$$$$$$$" removed from suckers.

"Renewable". This word has been co=opted by the eco's to mean what they want it to mean. I thought it meant you wear something out and then "renew" it to use. But they have changed it to mean a form of energy. Anyway, Walt has it right. The manufacture of the solar panels, windmills and other forms of items is never placed in the discussion by the eco-freaks. I once saw an analysis of a Hummer versus a Prius. Turns out the overall issues on "green" were in the favor of the Hummer. Why? Batteries and then their disposal. But the truth does not get told by the greens.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 14 April 2019 at 01:59 PM
"Renewables", except for hydropower, are also unreliables and so the grid requires backup power from the bad old fossil fuels, ready to go in a fraction of a second.
That's bloody expensive.

https://www2.greencarreports.com/news/1071391_life-after-death-what-happens-when-your-prius-battery-dies
"If the battery pack in your Toyota Prius dies before the end of its 150,000 (or 100,000) mile warranty, Toyota will replace it free of charge. But if your car is out of warranty, you join the 500 or so owners every month experiencing an expired nickel-metal-hydride battery pack. "
Then there is this........
https://www.hazardouswasteexperts.com/the-dark-side-of-the-hybrid-lead-acid-batteries/
Now my gas burning Chevy truck, with 175 thousand miles (and after 16+ years) is still going strong on the same power plant.

Hey all you Christians out there on the RR Blog. Show me scripture that justifies this:
"An infuriated Houston police chief blew up Friday on Twitter after an 11-year-old girl was ordered to be deported without her family.
Chief Art Acevedo vented about the lack of human decency and “Nazis” enforcing laws following a story Thursday in the Houston Chronicle about the ordered deportation to El Salvador of Laura Maradiaga. Somehow the girl’s name was left off of court records when the family arrived for a hearing in Houston as part of their quest for asylum, according to her mother, Dora Alvarado.
“I feel bad because I don’t want to be separated from my family,” Laura said in Spanish at a news conference Thursday aired onHouston’s KHOU-TV. “I don’t want to be taken away from my mom.”
“This is heart-wrenching,” wrote Acevedo. “1,000 points of light? Family values? American values? Judeo-Christian values? If you’re a person of faith, speak out.”

The correct answer of course is to put up people in nice but restricted housing and then push them through a hearing in about a week followed by a free plane ride. Not many rooms needed if you turn around quickly.
No catch and release, although I'm really taken by the idea of building the detention facility on the southern side of the wall.

Charity starts at home so protecting the living standards and job opportunities for the inner city and working poor of color is clearly protecting our own. Especially as the vast majority do not qualify for asylum. So why let them in at all?
Its in the law already -
Immigration law at 8 U.S.C. § 1225(b)(2) authorizes the secretary of DHS to return aliens who crossed the Mexican border back to Mexico while their asylum claims are processed. DHS is using that statutory authority.

It all works in our favor. Let the radical extreme unhinged Dems rally around their Hamas supporters until the cows come home. It shows the Left’s true colors. It shows how far they have gone and lost their way.
It’s not Crenshaw’s tested in battle record as much as his calm reasoned demeanor. He is not one to raise his voice or get anywhere near hyperbole. He is a steady as you go type of person and will discuss issues in a respectful manner with anyone. Anyone. If they go after Crenshaw the mellow voice of reason, they will attack anyone who dares criticize their Sacred Cows.
It is worth repeating that the Leftists of today do not wish to debate nor win anyone over with ideas. They only want to destroy and destroy without mercy. No criticism allowed
Let the world see them as they are. Oh, we can bitch about having an anti-American anti-Semite ungraceful inbred whinny hater in Congress, but that’s about all. Let the Dems rally to her defense. Nadler just jumped in trying to explain what she really said, lol. One thing about the Dems is they will always rally around their dog piles of poop and stay with them right up to the prison doors. It’s all Trump’s fault.

"Pop icon Cher said Sunday that Los Angeles, California, “can’t take care of its own” residents, much less newly arrived illegal and legal immigrants.
Cher said she failed to understand how the city of Los Angeles in the sanctuary state of California could afford to admit and take care of any more immigrants when city officials have failed to care for homeless, veterans, and poverty-stricken Americans.
I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More,” Cher said."

"The State Department of Parks and Recreation survey for the South Yuba River followed the normal procedure for surveying recreation use. Their estimate of numbers of visitors to the Yuba (600,00 to 700,00) seems quite reasonable in comparison to the figure of 500,000 visitors to the North Fork of the American."

Instagram... LOL!!! Yup,, there is the story teller.
I say your full of CRAP!! You have been posting all day. NOT out driving the back roads.
Yes, over 2000 people a day, every day will have to be there, 365 days. Not happening. First off, there is nowhere near enough parking. That's a fact. People work for a living. So no 2000 people on a Tues., let alone a WED.
So only the likes of you will still try and sell that load of crap.
Just like your AGW BS. Hawaii should be devoid of ANY snow... The globe has been warming... Remember? And down near the equator it should be getting a hell of a lot hotter, faster.
Even D.C. ..... Remember? "Snow is to be a thing of the past real soon." That was stated 20 damned years ago. How's that work'n for ya'?
But hey,, believe what you like. Your entitled to your opinion,, no matter how wrong you are.
DAMN... Good thing you hide behind a sock puppet. All credibility would be lost if you said who you really are.
So pictures of overflowing parking lots from the tourist masses will be forthcoming tomorrow night? And time and date stamps will do.

Bill - your people keep asking where the 700,000 visitors number came from (with some wild claims as to who thunk it up). This is the source. It's called history. A point in time reference. You can disallow the number if you wish, but don't bother to claim that some other number is more valid unless you can back it up with better than an opinion.
Posted by: Ozz | 14 April 2019 at 06:44 PM

All of a sudden you want to site "history", yet deny it earlier.

No missing you around town.. Your the one with the BIG "L" on your forehead.

I have to go through the Yuba river canyon to go to a job tomorrow, so I guess my trip to and from will be counted as two visits. LIB math? What makes you think I might have been "driving the back roads"? I'm sorry the official visitor record doesn't reconcile with your advanced statistical analysis. For someone who so vehemently believes the record is wrong, you are desperately lacking for an alternative set of figures beyond the back of a match book.
And what's this about the weather in Hawaii? What does that have to do with climate or the price of tea in China for that matter? Last year you were all agog with news about a Hawaiian volcano. Was that "climate" related too?

I don't have much of a dog in this fight (and it's a ridiculous argument to have on a regular basis, but anything to disrupt a blog, right?), but I did like this quote:
"Community Advocacy Continues for Bridgeport Bridge Project
Nevada County’s historic Bridgeport Covered Bridge welcomes approximately 700,000 California State Parks visitors annually, attracting a healthy tourism economy to Nevada County. "
https://mynevadacounty.com/CivicSend/ViewMessage/message/60303
That's a lot of visitors to a bridge.
No doubt there are real economic reasons, fight for budgets if nothing else, for overestimates. I guess if everyone overestimates it all comes out in the wash.
The real message here is that everyone's 'facts' are really just a game of Telephone played on the internet. A requoted (over and over and over) '700,000' number. No publication of raw data or gathering methodology so far as I can tell. You can see how something that is patently false gets loose and becomes a 'fact' over time. If it suits your purposes, it's true.
Posted by: scenes | 15 April 2019 at 08:00 AM
I was not on the BOS I was running CABPRO. If one looks at the transcripts of those hearings one can see the fictitious way the numbers were put forward. And they are made from whole cloth. Just a practical side. Since there are no toilets to speak of, 700,000 people generate 35 TONS of human waste. Where is it? Also they would drop quite a few tons of garbage which when picked up every year is not indicative of the huge turnout alleged. And what about the costs? Sheriff, rescuers of idiots and even the helicopter. Who pays? Oh the taxpayers. And where are those benefits to local business? Doesn't happen. They buy their stuff and bring it in. So the SYRCL jerks use the number they created to try and tell us all how important the Wild and Scenic designation is to us. But the truth is it is not.
Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 15 April 2019 at 08:19 AM
Weeping Todd 8:19-
"there are no toilets to speak of"
There are year 'round flush and well maintained Porta Potties at every improved river access point. There are also trash bins. Open your eyes Magoo.
Why no garbage? SYRCL volunteers pick up trash at trailheads each week, river monitors pick up trash at over 50 sites monthly, and SYRCL organizes a community trash pickup event annually (with nearly 700 volunteers). What does Todd Juvinall do: Whine about about the lack of trash.
You spout your nonsense vinegar enough times and hope somebody believes you. You will continue until you die and be remembered as a very sour man.

Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 15 April 2019 at 08:42 AM
The "reams of data" Ozz/Jeff promises at the link I originally provided isn't reams... "Yuba River" appears just once, associated with the following data:
200,921 (paid attendance, probably derived from parking revenue)
495,205 (unpaid attendance)
0 (the number camping)
696,126 (total)
That isn't data, that's the final results. How many people in each car that paid for parking... an estimate... times the number of cars that paid. How were the half million people estimated... does it include cars driving by on the 49? Does it include suicides of folks jumping off the Yuba River bridge in the night?
Those are the numbers that were to be shown. Seven hundred thousand was an early handwaved estimate and this is its backup. Yep, 700k. Yessiree Bob!
Posted by: Gregory | 15 April 2019 at 09:25 AM
Dividing the money collected by the number of people claimed as paid attendance, leads to 53 cents per person.
Wow! What a bargain!
Since the fees for parking at Bridgeport are $5 a day to $10 a day for the summer months, the range of people per car might be between 9 and 19. Either really big cars or small people who don't mind being really close to others.
Or Clowns!
Posted by: Gregory | 15 April 2019 at 09:37 AM
Now, if my wife and I decide to get into the car and drive down to Bridgeport on a pleasant June day, we'd be paying $5 apiece for the couple of hours at the "park"... ten times the average rate for paid visits.
Posted by: Gregory | 15 April 2019 at 09:50 AM
"That isn't data, that's the final results. "
Hah. Beat me to it. And the final number is? 700,000. For just about anything. Douglas Adams had it wrong.
It's a great thought experiment to think about how to estimate visitor usage short of constant satellite surveillance. I think Todd has something there with the human waste deal.
Instrument the bejeepers out of one park, measure the human waste resulting. From then on, you just have to weigh shit. Brilliant.

Spot on Scenes. Ozz is just a stalker obsessed with Todd. Wherever Todd goes, Ozzz follows. Obsessed, I tell ya. Creepy. Ozz spends his days following Todd trying to bait him, goad him.
I suppose the 700,000....now 800,000 number is necessary to inflate the numbers to get some State monies coming in, considering all the competitor for dollars. Lying...er...exaggeration....is ok if for a good purpose? Trust us, lol.
Think it is more like the annual bird survey. Go out one day a year and count birds at various spots and extrapolate from that day the entire bird population for hundreds of thousands of acreage. The honor system. I suppose it you went out in pairs, there might be some double counting.
Which brings me to Walt’s question. How many people will drown in the river this year? One has already drowned. If it is one per every 100,000, I would say 7-8. If it is one out of every 10,000, I would say 70-80. Now, if we get a big heat wave in early June, maybe
7 this year. Hopefully they will be from Frisco or Santa Cruz or government contractors. My guess will be the usual four.

Time for Daily Quotes. Tax Day, and those Hamas Supporters in Congress. Corey “I Am Spartacluz” Booker’s quote is my favorite.
The Gipper: “We don’t have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven’t taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much.” —Ronald Reagan
For the record: “Tax Day is always bad because Americans are overtaxed. But this Tax Day, we can celebrate the fact that an overwhelming majority of people are being taxed less, thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which Republicans passed in late 2017. No fewer than four out of every five taxpayers saw a reduction thanks to the law.” —Washington Examiner editorial board
Braying Jackass: “[President Trump is] trying to pit Americans against each other and make us less safe.” —Cory Booker on Trump’s pitch to dump illegals in sanctuary cities
Friendly fire: “[Ilhan Omar’s] statements were not only hurtful to me but extremely hurtful to everyone that was personally impacted by those terrorist attacks. No one should refer to what happened on 9/11, with terrorist attacks that killed thousands of Americans, as ‘something by some people.’ And that’s what was wrong with those statements.” —Democrat Rep. Ben Ray Lujan
—Non compos mentis I: “I saw nothing wrong with the congresswoman’s speech.” —Rep. Bennie Thompson
—Non compos mentis II: “I’ve had some problems with some of her other remarks, but not with that one.” —Rep. Jerry Nadler
Braying Jenny: “We must confront that our nation was founded by genocide and we maintain global power through neocolonialism.” —Rep. Ilhan Omar, August 2017
Alpha Jackass: “In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that?” —Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to veteran Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who lost in eye defending this country from jihadis
Intraparty squabble: “That’s like five people.” —House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on AOC and her contingent’s influence within the Democrat Party
For how long? “I don’t trust Barr. I trust Mueller.” —Nancy Pelosi
Delusions of grandeur: “Our children shouldn’t go to school worried they will have to run for their lives from an active shooter. We need leaders who will stand up to the NRA and fight to keep our kids safe from gun violence.” —Sen. Kamala Harris
And last… “Bernie Sanders defending getting rich from writing a book is just a reminder that, despite what people say, no one is actually against Capitalism.” —Frank J. Fleming

Trump filed campaign finance paperwork to run for reelection earlier than any other president, and he has been raising and spending money through his campaign committee since soon after he took office in 2017.

Dirty deeds -
A federal judge Monday ordered the detention of Yujing Zhang, the Chinese woman arrested trying to enter President Donald Trump’s private Mar-a-Lago club.
“It does appear to the court that Ms. Zhang was up to something nefarious,” Magistrate Judge William Matthewman said at the federal courthouse in West Palm Beach, adding that he considered Zhang, 33, a flight risk and believed she would return to China if released before trial.
Matthewman said the weight of the evidence against Zhang — who pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of making false statements to federal officers and entering restricted property — is “quite strong.” Prosecutors had asked to keep her locked up.

Cue star wars music -
The crowded field of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates is showing early signs of money trouble as donors sit on the sidelines to see how the contest unfolds, signaling a drawn-out primary battle lies ahead.
The Democratic campaign comes into greater focus on Monday as declared White House hopefuls report their first quarter fundraising totals. Early glimpses provided by some of the more than one dozen declared candidates show that Democrats are raising less money than they have in previous cycles and are coming up short against the campaign bank account President Donald Trump is building.
Democrats collectively raised about $70 million since January, according to the candidates who have already released their fundraising totals. That’s less than the $81 million Democrats raised during the same period in 2007, the last time the party had an open primary, according to data from the Federal Election Commission. And it pales in comparison with the $30 million Trump raised during the first quarter.

No shots were fired in 30 of the 31 incidents and, in the incident where the shot was fired, it was the result of an elementary school student pulling the trigger on a holstered gun carried by a police officer."

The head of the Norwegian Armed Forces’ operational headquarters (FOH) has admitted that as a result of failing to upgrade the country’s military, Norway would not be able to defend itself in an attack.
Speaking to Norway’s state broadcaster NRK, Lieutenant-General Rune Jakobsen said, “If there is an attack in the classical sense, then we do not have the robustness that is necessary [to defend ourselves].”
“The most serious issue is the size of the land,” Lt Gen Jakobsen said. “Reactivity, robustness, and endurance in all branches of defence are too low, and to be concrete: The army is too small in relation to the tasks it has and what is expected of Norway and in NATO.”

WOW, did not see this one coming but the chi coms know we, the suni and Israel are on the march against those mutha mullas. Its bad for their business and encroaches on the trade negotiations. So sorry little country, we got to cover our own ass -
Author Yin Gang, identified as a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, predicts in his column that President Donald Trump will not stop pressuring Iran and its economy if it does not withdraw from the international stage. Yin goes on to argue that America is not the only problem Iran has to face, saying, “Iran is isolated in the Middle East,” and its neighbors agree that it is a regional threat.
“IRGC’s Quds Force’s support to the Houthis, an anti-government force in Yemen, and the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon could not be tolerated by the US and its allies in the Middle East,” Yin writes. “Arab nations and Israel have lauded the US’ move on IRGC.”
Yin goes on to accept what the Iranian government denied for some time: that sanctions on its oil industry in response to its alleged illegal nuclear weapons development, which were lifted in the aftermath of the 2015 nuclear deal and restored last year, will have a devastating effect on the Iranian economy.
“Tehran’s strategy is to outlast Trump’s presidency until 2020 and then hope that he loses the elections, but the US president will not give Iran so much time,” Yin writes. Acknowledging that President Donald Trump is seeking to limit Iran’s military influence and arguing that conceding to Washington will soothe some of the pressure, Yin suggests yielding to America.
“In recent years, Iran’s strong presence in Yemen and Syria has triggered panic in the Arab world and Israel. If Iran adopts a prudent policy of strategic retreat, war and severe internal turmoil could be avoided,” the article reads. “But if it continues to be intransigent, the denouement would be hard to imagine.”
“With little prospect of a thaw between Washington and Tehran in the future, tensions are likely to rise. A better choice for Iran to deal with the situation is a strategic retreat in Yemen and Syria,” the piece recommends.
