ISIS is still working the illegal alien flow -

Nicaraguan authorities confirmed the arrests of four, not three ISIS terror suspects who entered the country as part of a migrant group with Costa Rican travel documents. Three of those men are the individuals Breitbart News first reported on, regarding an international alert from U.S. law enforcement agencies.

The Nicaraguan Army arrested the four men this week at an irregular crossing point known as Guacimada, Costa Rica’s Teletica reported. During questioning, the men presented migrant travel documents given to them by the Costa Rican government.

The three men are identified as Mohamed Ibrahim and Mahmoud Samy Eissa from Egypt, and Ahmed Ghanim Mohamed Al Jubury from Iraq. According to Teletica, the three men held travel documents from Costa Rica issued on June 9. The fourth man, Mustafa Ali Mohamed Yaoob from Iraq, had travel documents issued on June 13.

The four men were deported to Costa Rica and are being held at an immigration detention center. Costa Rican authorities claim that the travel alert was issued after the group entered the country and they had no prior knowledge about the group’s ISIS affiliations.

“The question isn’t what could go wrong in this situation,” Bringolf said. “It was not a very well thought-out plan, and a result of that is the explosion.” "

They are taking over/under bets on how many times Beto will say ‘planet’ in his answers tonight. The line is 9. 7 is the over/under for how many times the candidates say, “Thank you for that question” as they try to stall and buy time to think of an answer.

Timing is perfect. Dan Crenshaw questions Google today about calling Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, and Dennis Prager ‘Nazis’.

-Dan Crenshaw: Thanks for trying to do something about terrorism. But your company labeled the Jewiest Jew as a Nazi. What in Gia’s name are you hippies smoking over there?”
-Sir Google of Googledom: “We light our weed sticks with the flames fueled by our own boofs. Also, Ben Shapiro is just a Jewish Nazi and he says hateful things.”
Crenshaw: “What hateful things?”
Sir Google of Googledom: His eyebrows. “They scare me.”

In all seriousness, worth watching the 5 minutes of questioning. Calling people Nazis,as Crenshaw pointed out, kind of incites violence.

Walt

May I suggest a bottle of the cheap stuff?
https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/the-official-democratic-debate-drinking-games-851764/
From Rolling Stoned Mag.
THE RULES:
DRINK a thimble of liquor each time Maddow, Todd, or Swalwell mentions Russia or Putin.

DRINK a full shot every time a candidate mentions:

1. “I AM THE CHILD OF IMMIGRANTS…” Meaning, drink if Mayor Pete mentions his dad who immigrated because America was the best place in the world to get an education, if Amy Klobuchar mentions ancestors who arrived with nothing but a suitcase, if Sanders mentions the role model of a father who journeyed across the ocean with nothing in his pocket, if Julian Castro mentions the year 1922 (when his grandmother arrived as a seven-year-old orphan), if Kamala Harris mentions her mother coming from India to study the science of fighting disease, etc.

2. “WHOSE HUMBLE BEGINNINGS…” Drink if Amy Klobuchar mentions her Grandpa the iron ore miner (who worked 1,500 feet underground) saving money in a coffee can, or if Elizabeth Warren mentions her family’s station wagon (double shot if she mentions the stocking feet her mother was in when she decided to save the family house), if Tim Ryan mentions playing little league as a kid from Niles, Ohio, if Eric Swalwell mentions his mom who sold wedding cakes in handmade dollhouses out of the family garage, if Bernie Sanders mentions growing up in a rent-controlled apartment living paycheck-to-paycheck (actually drink if anyone says paycheck-to-paycheck in any context), if Castro mentions the number 68 bus, etc.

3. “WORKING WITH MY SLEEVES ROLLED UP AS AN [INSERT REAL JOB HERE]…” Drink if Swalwell mentions a paper route or serving burritos, Warren mentions waitressing, etc. Buttigieg and Gabbard are in separate debates, so a shot if either says, “As the only veteran on stage…” Double shot if Hickenlooper tells the Randy Marsh story — i.e. I was a geologist in Colorado, but became a brewpub entrepreneur in an abandoned, forgotten part of Denver with the help of a library book. You can skip the next shot if Andrew Yang unapologetically references going to Exeter and Brown and working at Davis Polk.

4. “…WITH THE SUPPORT OF MY BELOVED FAMILY MEMBERS [INSERT NAMES]…” A hot trend in political address is to mention relatives by name, to humanize speakers. So, drink if Swalwell mentions son Nelson and daughter Cricket, Harris mentions parents Donald and Shyamala, Buttigieg mentions Chasten, my love, Beto O’Rourke mentions parents Melissa and Pat or sisters Erin and Charlotte, etc. Double shot if Warren mentions her “Mama.”

5. “…AND MY FAITHFUL [DOG OR CAT]…” Pets are in! Drink if Mayor Pete mentions dogs Buddy and Truman, Warren mentions Golden Retriever Bailey, Hickenlooper mentions his “rescue mutt” Skye, Gillibrand mentions her Goldendoodle Maple, Ryan mentions his two dogs, Bear and Buckeye who are always “flyin’ through the house,” Swalwell mentions his black lab Penny, Biden mentions any of his not-at-all-fascist German Shepards (Major and Champ) etc. Double shot if a candidate mentions a dog-by-proxy, i.e. Booker who has promised to get a dog if elected, or Inslee, who doesn’t have a dog but who has a son with two – Pepper and Tilly.

6. “…TO REALIZE THE AMERICAN DREAM…” Drink if Castro says the American dream shouldn’t be just a dream (and is not a sprint or a marathon but a relay), Klobuchar mentions our shared dream, Swalwell wonders what happened to the promise of the American dream, etc.

7. “…WHICH IS UNDER ATTACK…” Drink any time any candidate says (pick one) democracy, the free press, the American dream, freedom itself, our voting rights, or our sovereignty is under attack under Donald Trump. Double shot if anyone uses the term existential threat.

8. “…BY A MAN WHO PUTS CHILDREN IN CAGES…” Drink at every mention of the word cages.

9. “… AND HAS FOSTERED A CULTURE OF DIVISION…” Drink when Hickenlooper mentions a canyon of division, Biden mentions the divider-in-chief, Gillbrand mentions the powerful forces trying to sow hate and division, Ryan notes that we stand here today in a divided country, O’Rourke mentions fear and division, Gabbard asks whether we should choose division and blame over love, etc.

10. “…BECAUSE HE’S A [INSERT TRUMP JOKE]…” Drink at any attempt to win the internet with a one-line Trump descriptor. Wall jokes unfortunately included. Double shot if attempt includes the phrase, You’re fired.

11. “…AND IN CLOSING, I SAY [SOMETHING IN SPANISH].” Self-explanatory. Drink.

SIDE-RULES:
Drink if:

ANY CANDIDATE laughs at something Rachel Maddow says that isn’t actually funny.
BIDEN starts a sentence saying, Look…, uses the word bareknuckle, or mentions working with Barack (or any variation thereof, e.g. when Barack and I…).
BIDEN tries to tell a story about reaching across the aisle and makes a dumpster fire out of it.
HARRIS or any other candidate lays into BIDEN for said attempt. Automatic drink if the word apology reaches the air.
SANDERS mentions greed or does a Bern point. Double shot if he points at a fellow debater.
WARREN says she’s got a plan for anything.
INSLEE answers a question, any question, without eventually mentioning climate change.
GABBARD says Aloha, or mentions a disastrous American war or regime change plan. Take a second shot if by the end of the debate no other candidate has mentioned those same wars.
DELANEY says something bitchy about how Medicare-for-All sucks.
HICKENLOOPER uses the word heaving, as in, “it feels like we’re in a heaving crisis.” Double shot if he gives Sanders a hard time for being a socialist, and — be your own judge here — triple shot if he compares Sanders to Stalin.
RYAN tells the audience, I love you or goes out of his way to remind you he played quarterback in high school.
SWALWELL mentions growing up in Scrublin, i.e. Dublin, California, which is so hardscrabble and middle-class that it earned that nickname apparently. Double shot if he mentions gym towels.
WILLIAMSON, GABBARD, or YANG has to interrupt someone else’s time to get a word in.
Double shot if you find yourself thinking, It’s because these candidates can’t win that they make so much sense.
Stay safe. Drink with a spotter. Try to have a bite of bread between shots.

Not everyone thinks that jerry the nads and schiffty thought this through -

"We are going back down memory lane," Rivera said on Fox News' "Hannity." "Nadler and Schiff remind me of high school athletes. They graduated from high school and now nobody recognizes them. They are offended that they are outside the mainstream of public consciousness now. Nobody knows who they are or what they are doing."

"I think that the price that this testimony will cost the Democrats will be grievous to them," Rivera said. "They will rue the day that Nadler and Schiff let their ambition get ahead of their common sense, their political science, and drag this man back into center stage of the American public."

"I'm trying to stop them from shooting themselves in the foot," he said.

Dershowitz claimed Nadler appeared to have overlooked that Mueller remains open to grilling from Republicans.

"He can't refuse to answer questions about the FISA application," Dershowitz said, referring to a request by the FBI to surveil a member of the 2016 Trump campaign under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

"Those are the kind of questions that I think Republicans will be very well prepared to ask. Those are the kind of questions which are currently under investigation by the inspector general whose report we are waiting for. But those are not in any way precluded. Free college and forgiveness of college debt is a current issue being pushed.

248,000 is a good survey of employees. 2/3 have regrets.

“A college education is still considered a pathway to higher lifetime earnings and gainful employment for Americans. Nevertheless, two-thirds of employees report having regrets when it comes to their advanced degrees, according to a PayScale survey of 248,000 respondents this past spring that was released Tuesday.

“Most satisfied: Those with science, technology, engineering and math majors, who are typically more likely to enjoy higher salaries, reported more satisfaction with their college degrees. About 42% of engineering grads and 35% of computer science grads said they had no regrets.
Most regrets: Humanities majors, who are least likely to earn higher pay post-graduation, were most likely to regret their college education. About 75% of humanities majors said they regretted their college education. About 73% of graduates who studied social sciences, physical and life sciences, and art also said the same.
In the middle: In between the other two categories were 66% of business graduates, 67% of health sciences graduates and 68% of math graduates who said they regretted their education.

Victims of team 0 and the PC crowd -

As the convoy traveled back to the green “safe” zone, a white Kia vehicle broke away from stopped traffic at the checkpoint, driving aggressively towards the approaching convoy, ignoring commands to stop.

Just days before, a notification had been issued at a briefing warning of a similar car used in other attacks. This, coupled with the surrounding violence and the recent car explosions, is why the security team had every reason to believe that the Kia would attack the checkpoint or even the U.S. diplomat’s convoy.

Utilizing weapons provided to them by the State Department, the security team fired at the Kia to disable the clear and present threat, killing its occupants.

Immediately the security team came under small arms fire from insurgents and, after returning fire, witnesses saw military-aged men flee the scene, abandoning weapons and Iraqi police uniforms over embankments as they ran.

During the investigation, the security team was compelled to provide statements about the incident under threat of termination, these statements that were specifically prohibited for use in any criminal prosecution. The Department of Justice (DOJ) then unconstitutionally used these statements to charge and indict these men on manslaughter and weapons offenses designed specifically to control and punish gang violence and armed drug dealers, not military veterans.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) then unconstitutionally used these statements to charge and indict the men on manslaughter and weapons offenses designed specifically to control and punish gang violence and armed drug dealers, not military veterans.

Fortunately, the original presiding judge in this case recognized the prosecutorial misconduct and dismissed the charges due to “reckless” violations by the DOJ that had “compromised the constitutional rights of the accused.”

With the full backing of the Obama administration, the DOJ appealed the original dismissal of charges and prosecuted these men again, this time offering testimony from perjuring witnesses and withholding exculpatory evidence about the attack.

After refusing a plea deal, three of the four men had weapons charges reintroduced. You are reading this correctly, decorated veterans were punished by their own government for using weapons provided to them by that same government as if they were drug dealers and gang members, paving the way for an unjust conviction.

Plenty of words spoken in Spanish... But none in Ebonics???
A little PC racism going on there.

Ozzz

The Scandinavian systems are similar to Medicare for All in the respect that they use regional offices to administer reimbursements to providers.

Yet they differ in critical ways: They employ cost-sharing for certain services, they are less comprehensive in their coverage, and they allow for private health insurance plans to complement or supplement the government system to cover out-of-pocket expenses and to circumvent wait times or rationed access to specialists.

These are precisely the things Medicare for All would abolish. It’s intriguing that while socialists in America would rush to nationalize the health care system, Norwegians, Swedes, and Danes are all gradually increasing their use of private health insurance.

Between 2006 and 2016, the portion of the population covered by private insurance increased by four percent in Sweden, seven percent in Norway, and 22 PERCENT IN DENMARK.”

“Denmark also allows “complementary” insurance plans, which cover services that are partially or not at all covered by the national system, including dental and vision services.

This growing European interest in private health insurance typically stems from dissatisfaction with the state-run systems, which often provide poor or incomplete coverage and long wait times.

By contrast, private plans offer wider coverage, shorter wait times, access to private facilities, and more flexibility in patient choice.

-For instance, in a 2009 survey, nearly half of Danes felt waiting times were unreasonable while only about a third disagreed. In 2007, the Danish government enacted a wait time guarantee of one month to receive treatment.

Most of the private health insurance in Denmark, as well as in Sweden and Norway, is employer-based. In Denmark, the increase in private insurance is likely due, in part, to employers seeking to recruit top-tier talent by including health coverage as part of a benefits package.

In turn, private insurers make a strong pitch to employers, informing them that having private coverage minimizes their employees’ time lost to illness and ensures they have prompt access to medical care.

In that 2009 survey, the largest portion of respondents believed the most important factor driving employer-based coverage was that it results in “less sickness absence due to quicker treatment.”

The second and third most popular responses were that it provides access to private hospitals and circumvents long wait times in the public system.

In this way, private options create value for average Danes getting premium health coverage as a perk of employment, for Danish employers who can compete for the high end of the labor market, and for the insurers who are selling this service.

Private insurance plans even create value for the government because it decreases public health expenditure. Roughly half of respondents in the survey had their last hospital visit paid by a private insurer.

Recall: This would all be illegal under Medicare for All. Private health insurance would be abolished for everyone.

Danes are right to deny that they are a socialist country, but their generous welfare programs, and those of the Swedes and Norwegians, are clearly objects of envy for American socialists.

While the Scandinavian health care systems are each different in their own ways, they all offer universal coverage for citizens, and any cost-sharing comes with low annual limits.

They provide nearly everything that a proponent of socialized health care could ask for – and yet each of these countries host a growing private health insurance sector.

It behooves us to ask why this is before we outlaw our own private care.”

A look at your link shows the general satisfaction of the Danes with their health care. Here's a summary:

"High patient satisfaction and trustPatient satisfaction is generally high and has remained on a high level, and is also high compared to other public sectors. Around 90% are satisfied with their inpatient stay or outpatient visit26. Around 20% of the population has contact with hospital throughout a year and the high level of satisfaction for public hospital therefore provides great legitimacy to the public hospitals in the public debate. However, the public debate also contains the individual case with critical and erroneous handling of treatment or communication. In addition the number of patient complaints handled by the national Patients’ Board of Complaints’ has
38 increased from e.g. 3,312 new cases in 2005 to 4,235 new cases in 200948. This increasing number of complaints cannot unambiguously interpreted while the increasing rate may illustrate not only changes in expectations to treatment, treatment outcomes and communication; changes in general trust to the health care system; changes in population’s attitudes to authorities and changes in actual delivered quality. The number of patient complaints is, however, still considered to be on a low level compared to the overall number of contacts."

Meanwhile in the real world we have this;

Huawei had sued CNEX in U.S. District Court in Sherman, Texas, for misappropriation of trade secrets involving a memory control technology and for poaching its employees. The jury rejected those claims, while finding a CNEX founder failed to notify the company of his patent filings.
CNEX filed a counter suit, alleging Huawei sought to steal its technology by posing as a customer and calling the original claims part of a pattern by Huawei to obtain others' secrets. The jury found Huawei had misappropriated CNEX's secrets but awarded no damages.

"This is a victory for the rule of law and for global standards of ethical corporate behavior," said CNEX General Counsel Matthew Gloss. "This case was never about money."

The United States has effectively banned its agencies from buying Huawei telecommunications equipment and barred U.S. companies from doing business with Huawei, claiming the firm represents a threat to national security.

Huawei has filed a suit to overturn the U.S. sales ban before the same Texas judge who heard the trade secrets suit. Two Huawei units separately face charges in a federal court in Seattle of conspiring to steal T-Mobile US Inc trade secrets between 2012 and 2014.

Bill Tozer

@ 8:57 pm

I thought the Left was for all protecting women’s rights and elevating women. I thunk wrong. I thought right when I previously stated that me thinks the trannies are hijacking the Women’s Movement

“Feminists in Struggle, a nationwide feminist organization, were also “strenuously opposed” to the bill. The door would be open for “sexual predators of various types, from voyeurs to rapists, to reinvent themselves as female by taking on female names and identities,” they explained. “Add to this reality that the majority of female prisoners have been molested, raped, sexually assaulted, trafficked, coerced or forced into pornography and/or prostitution, and the potential harm to incarcerated women and girls is greatly increased.”

“The radical feminist group Women’s Liberation Front also expressed “adamant opposition,” saying the bill would “put women prisoners and women prison guards and staff, at serious increased risk of male violence.” They labeled the bill a “stunning attack on incarcerated women and one of the most extreme examples of elevating men’s feelings over women’s physical and psychological safety.”

“Other groups, such as the Transgender Law Center, are single-minded in their pursuit of “transgender equity.” They emphasize that the bill “will help ensure the safety and dignity of incarcerated transgender people within the criminal-justice system.” Similarly, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of California ignores.......

Oh don't worry Walt. Trump promised he would have all the answers to health care by July 16. Then everything will be great.

"“Obamacare has been a disaster,” Mr. Trump told ABC News in an interview aired on Sunday evening. His own plan, he insisted, would lower costs. “You’ll see that in a month when we introduce it. We’re going to have a plan. That’s subject to winning the House, Senate and presidency, which hopefully we’ll win all three. We’ll have phenomenal health care.”

This was dated June 16. He promised thiw and as you say
Trump keeps all his promises and NEVER lies.

What do you do about kids sleeping on concrete floors? How do you show how much you care? What can you, the reader, do about the deplorable thought of children sleeping on hard concrete?
The answer is simple. Protest and boycott the company that supplies beds to children to ensure the youngins won’t be sleeping on concrete floors. Stop the production of beds! Stand against giving beds to children sleeping on concrete floors. Ok. Makes sense to someone. Virtue Signaling feels so good. Just do something, even if it’s wrong. It’s the thought that counts.

I am glad to see you are still spoon feeding partial news factoids to the COJ to keep them "informed" of the Calamity of California. An unread ex-bagger fueled by your couched "news" release would be led to believe Mitsubishi is running away from California's political climate.

The move by Mitsubishi has been at least ten years in the coming and much of its production and workforce has already moved to Tennessee in a effort to consolidate the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance. You probably didn't know that.

Still waiting for the California haters to leave. The Chattanooga chiggers are wonderful this time of year.

PaulE 905pm - Re nationalized healthcare. As you again saw from the data, no nationalized healthcare systems (NHSs) are sustainable. And the Danes being "generally satisfied" with their healthcare system just goes to underline the other factor about NHSs, all of them have been reducing services and their availability, especially to their older and the more disease stricken citizens (each of them have their own 'death committees' that determine who will get what care when).

In the most recent survey, the best that could be said was that "Just under six out of ten people responded that they had confidence in the health system". This indicates that more than 40% of Danes did NOT have confidence in their NHS (thereby also motivating the most recent "reform" that the NHS is going through). And the numerate reader will understand that this is a horrific stat since over 80% of people use the NHS for relatively minor healthcare services, and a large fraction of these have no confidence in their NHS. One can only presume that the fraction of those requiring life-preserving treatment have very little confidence in their NHS (again motivating "reform"). The innumerates among us gladly drink the kool-aid that the above 'most people had confidence' report means that Danes are "happy" with their NHS. Clearly they are not.
https://www.thelocal.dk/20190114/most-danes-happy-with-healthcare-survey

And the bombshell popped by candidate Delaney last told the nation that NONE of our hospitals could operate on the Medicare level payments the Dems plan to implement nationwide when they launch our NHS the level of care from which is foretold by our VA. And 'Medicare for All' was just one of the many butt stupid ways the Dems promised to ruin America. Tonight we'll see these cynical elites double down on their intended "structural changes" for our country - a most dangerous and ignorant lot indeed.

Yes, the Rock Hudson "joke" has been around since John Glen. Not sure what that has to do with Rock Hunter unless you mistake John Glen with the infamous John Glans.

Oh, I saw that wackjob’s column. It was like, “Where do you even begin?” It would take too much ink to deconstruct every single line of her column with facts, timelines, testimony etc. It could be done easily, but a waste of time. Ah, forget it. Let her live in everlasting ignorance.
. She is the one who wrote calling for the Union to endorse Hillary Clinton, the smartest, most capable, and experienced Woman in America...and the most qualified ever to run for President, roflmao.

She is the one who was 100% certain that Cohen flew to Prague to discuss business deals with the Russians, even though Mueller's own report said it never happened. Never happened, fakenews. The only interaction I had with that hatchet wound was when she argued that George the Greek will get 6 months to 5 years...and he was colluding with the Russians. I said nope. BTW, George the Greek got 12 days and never was charged with colluding with the Russians. Heck, Carter Page was never charged with anything, Russian related or not, lol. And the list goes on and on. Oh, she knows, she knows.

Oh, I could write that the Free Beacon OP research via Fusion GPS did not involve Chris Steele or Russians. McCabe’s firing was due to the IG report, and multiple lies (4) he said to his own FBI, three under oath and for leaking. And McCabe fired by the FBI’s own recommendations from a field office supervisor after their own internal investigation. And McCabe will get his retirement, just has to wait 6 years for full benefits. He will draw a few hundred thousand dollars a year, poor thing.

Bottom line: The Union comment section is not the place to have lengthily exchange of facts. It would be like trying to cram a whole semester’s worth of 40 hours/week of reading into a few paragraphs. It would be like explaining to a child exactly how to build a nuclear facility with Ievery detail included. Why bother.

That's your spin on the survey not the general conclusion. The general conclusion is this:

Since I cannot find the proper place to post to put this under, I will park it here. The blame game: Are religious people to blame for the high suicide rates in the LGBTQ communities across the Western World? What does the research say? New CA resolution (without force of law),

“WHEREAS, The stigma associated with being LGBT often created by groups in society, including therapists and religious groups, has caused disproportionately high rates of suicide, attempted suicide, depression, rejection, and isolation amongst LGBT and questioning individuals…”

“Note the absoluteness of their conclusions, particularly two words: create and cause. Stigma, created by religious groups, causes high rates of suicide.

“Let it sink in. Christians, Muslims, and Jews, your beliefs make gay people kill themselves. If this is indeed true, we are among the worst of the worst kinds of people. These legislators believe this is true and are doing something about it. California is trying to insist that churches, synagogues and mosques, their leaders, congregants, grade schools, universities, and families fully and uncritically support homosexual, bisexual, and transgender identities in every way.

“Thus, any teaching, preaching, writings or practices that are faithful to the clear sexual instructions of these faiths will be beyond the pale of official California values. They will not be tolerated. This charge makes this legislation overwhelmingly serious and consequential because of the seriousness of this charge. Either one party is directly culpable for deaths or the other of making such a dreadful allegation.”
