Scott,
I've been to Boise repeatedly on the way to Yellowstone or Sun Valley. I would not want to live there, though.
I assume you read this before you moved from California to Idaho:
https://www.estately.com/blog/2013/10/32-things-to-consider-before-moving-to-boise/
But you continue to dodge the truth: You are an "economic refugee" to Idaho; that's fine but don't pretend it was the main motivator. Have fun!

Scott O

And Pee-line, I notice when you can't maintain a line of thought you change the subject!
What happened to your 'diversity'!
Oh - that's right, it's something in your head when you live in whitey white town.
"I'm very, very diverse in my mind".
Say- you go to Baltimore and tell that to the street folk.

JeffPelline

... wasn't the main motivator. Have fun!

Scott O

And I'm really sorry I called you a clown.
Are we good?

Jeff Pelline

Sure Scott. Enjoy Boise! You can visit us in Nevada City or Lake Tahoe anytime.

Scott O

So - after all is said and done, Pee-line admits he wouldn't want to live in Idaho.
He claims he has been here several times and the only eatery he can name is not down town and is near the Mormon Temple.
Apparently Idaho is too non-white for him and his family so he resides in one of the whitest counties in CA but don't worry he is 'diverse' in his mind and his family is equally diverse in their brain sacs as well.
That's why they choose to live in a whitey white area far, far away from Baltimore and any other diverse shit hole Pee-line went to school at.

Scott O

Because Pee-line's wife's family HAS to live in Nevada County.
It's a law.
Or something.
Understand they don't want to live in Nevada County, but where else can they sip Pinot noir and claim they they are the most diverse people they know on the planet?

Jeff Pelline

Scott,
Come on! You and I both know that you moved to Idaho because Nevada County was becoming too diverse for you!
Details here:
"From a political standpoint, Idaho’s “ex-Cals” are “actually very similar to the natives here,” Moncrief said. They’re not changing the political landscape much. Like most Idahoans, they tend to be conservative. In some cases, they’re more conservative than Idahoans.
https://www.sacbee.com/news/nation-world/national/article164420672.html

Todd Juvinall

Funny how Nevada County is the least diverse in California with 90% white and still Pelline spreads his usual lies about that! Amazing.Typical lazy "journalist" All cut from the same cloth.

Todd Juvinall

Oh and my liberal daughter and her hubby are moving to a new home in Boise. Money is the issue. Half the cost of living.

Gotta give credit where credit is due to the Wa Compost.

Re: The 18 year old citizen who was held by ICE for 3 weeks. Well, the “mistake” was due to his Momma, a non-citizen, being a big fat liar and falsified her paperwork for her own personal benefit.....at the expense of her son.

“The Washington Post has since done some more digging and uncovered details about the case which help explain why CBP has delayed in releasing the young man: Francisco's mother, a Mexican citizen living in Edinburg illegally, listed her son on a U.S. tourist visa as being born in Mexico. She also falsified information on his birth certificate.

"The reason it appears to have taken CBP and ICE so long to determine Galicia’s citizenship is because his mother, who is not a citizen, took out a U.S. tourist visa in his name while he was still a minor, falsely saying he was born in Mexico, Galan said," the Post reports. "His mother, Sanjuana, told The Post that CBP discovered the visa after fingerprinting her son. The conflicting documents only fueled the agency’s suspicion that Galicia’s U.S. documents were fake, Galan said."

“Sanjuana told the Post that she took out the falsified tourist visa for her son so he could travel back and forth across the border to visit family. The reason she couldn't get him a passport, she explained, is that she entered a fictitious name for herself on his birth certificate. "The undocumented mother was unable to get him a U.S. passport because when Galicia was born, Galan said, she gave a different name for herself on his birth certificate," the Post reports.

That’s what liars do. Living the lie, telling a lie. Now the son is suing the US, not his lying illegal alien mom who is a compulsive habitual liar, lol.

Scott O

Pee-line 12:26 "Come on! You and I both know that you moved to Idaho because Nevada County was becoming too diverse for you!"
Our reasons for leaving are well documented. If you have to continue your diatribe based on made up BS, I'd suggest you've lost the argument. You have no idea of what kind of life I've led or the kinds of folk I'm comfortable with. Your constant nagging need to blow your horn about how 'diverse' you are while you choose to live in whitey white town is telling. You are a typical lefty in that you fabricate cartoon characters as your straw men to fight with.
Have fun.

The race baiters like Reverend Al were not always as revered like they are today.

Before losing his mind and singing from the fakenews song sheet, Representative Joe Scarborough authored and sponsored a resolution in Congress to condemn the Rev. Al.
Odd, just this morning Morning Joe was on the phone with his personal friend Al, praising the esteemed civil rights leader and bashing Trump.

https://thefederalist.com/2019/07/29/condemning-reverend-al-sharpton/

“Whereas the Reverend Al Sharpton has referred to members of the Jewish faith as “bloodsucking [J]ews”, and “Jew bastards”;

“Whereas the Reverend Al Sharpton has referred to members of the Jewish faith as “white interlopers” and “diamond merchants”;

“Whereas the Reverend Al Sharpton was found guilty of defamation by a jury in a New York court arising from the false accusation that former Assistant District Attorney Steven Pagones, who is white, raped and assaulted a fifteen year-old black girl;

“Whereas the Reverend Al Sharpton has insulted members of the Jewish faith by challenging Jews to violence and stating to Jews to “pin down” their yarmulkes; and

And murder too? Oh my.

“Whereas the Reverend Al Sharpton’s vicious verbal anti-Semitic attacks directed at members of the Jewish faith, and in particular, a Jewish landlord, arising from a simple landlord-tenant dispute with a black tenant, incited widespread violence, riots, and the murder of five innocent people;

“Whereas the Reverend Al Sharpton’s fierce demagoguery incited violence, riots, and murder in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York, following the accidental death of a black pedestrian child hit by the motorcade of Orthodox Rabbi Menachem Schneerson;

Well, they do say that Al Sharpton went from a jumpsuit to a $1,500 pin stripped suit.

Jeff Pelline - I have allowed the above offal from the FUE's most recent visitation to remain as an expanding archive of the measure of the man. Empty of ideas, he came again to denigrate the anti-Left denizens of RR comment streams. His acerbic conversation remains as witness to the man's character and further evidence of the level traction that his own online efforts enjoy. When he finally becomes desperate to be heard, he arrives here, and then has less than nothing to say. He is a poster-child for the ancient wisdom - 'Small minds speak of people, average minds speak of events, and great minds speak of ideas.' (To be sure, in these pages we all take occasional detours from greatness ;-) but most of us are acutely aware of the measure of us it leaves with our readers. Therefore, this must also serve as my awkward apology for bringing up the FUE.)

Bill Tozer

Go get them, President Trump. Maybe nothing will be done about the crime infested neighborhoods in major cities run and owned by Democrats for decades. Maybe something good can come out of this, maybe not. If I or the reader expect any Dem to take responsibility for the decay, it is an expectation too far. They will never take ownership for their actions or part in it. Still, the urban blight in our cities is a black eye on our nation. Can’t call them ghettos, it is hateful. Same with barrios. Whatever you call the seedy side of town or the wrong side of the tracks, it’s a living hell hole.

It is interesting that when film companies scout around to film scenes in dangerous or impoverished 3rd countries, they say Baltimore is prefect. No sets to be built, the exteriors are ready to go. Bring in the extras, put them in peasant clothes and roll camera. Many of the buildings and homes look nice on the outside, but inside everything has been stripped, even the floors.

Also interesting is all the weekend interviews with locals on the street (black folk) in Baltimore I watched have been taken down by FB. Gone. Disappeared. Darn, I was going to post one particular interview about a long term resident’s feelings about Elijah Cummings, the articulate woman pleading for the Congressman to help the community. “Clothing donations, anything. Something! Help us Congressman. We need your help. We live here.” And she was not slamming Elijah, but was saying to at least come down there and see for yourself.

In all the political maneuvering and Trump is a racist banter, one important thing we must never forget. It is the most vulnerable that are being preyed on in crime infested neighborhoods. The ones that cannot defend themselves nor have the means to get out. Many are immigrants. Most are trapped. The cost of unsafe and unhealthy living conditions is too high for the ones the Left says they care about the most.

I know what Walter E. Williams would say. I know what Thomas Sowell would say. And I know what Larry Elder (the Sage of South-Central) would say.

Best of luck to them….."

Federal government has been shoveling money into their inner city shitholes for 65 years! Hows that working out for everyone dugsKKKi?

AV Projector Booth Man.

Yes, indeed, the buck does stop with Trump. I am thrilled he brought the blight to light front and center. I agree. Maybe this will be the start of something good. Trump (or any President) inherits stuff that needs to be addressed and hopefully improved. The economy, bad trade deals, decaying infrastructure, joblessness, burdensome or inefficient government, etc. Too many issues, so little time. We live in an imperfect world, no doubt.

Best is to prioritize the things that can be addressed or improved. Or at least keep from making things worse. Stop the bleeding first, then work on the gash.
Can’t change human nature or solve every problem that bedevils mankind, nor is it possible to wave a magic wand and make everyone happy. Climate Change? Will never be solved within 12 years as long as China and India cancel out our efforts and increase their footprint, for a small example.
“Think globally, act locally” as the Lefties would say. “It takes a village.” I, too, believe that charity begins at home. The dollar only stretches so far. And, of course, everybody has an opinion. I think our education crisis (the dumbing down of America) can be solved, but the blow back is intense. Man is it ever. Reform sometimes appears impossible.
Was it Reagan that said, “No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth!” I do believe it was that fascist “worse than Hitler” Ronnie Rayguns who uttered that statement.

Keeping America Great comes with Herculean efforts. But, it is a noble and just cause. One man cannot do it alone, but Together We Can. Yes We Can! Be brave my man. This calls for Hope and Change.

Loved a comment to this pic. Q: “Is that Baltimore or Nancy’s District?” A: “It doesn’t matter.

George 11:14 -- What roles do you think things like off-shoring jobs, downsizing and other corporate cost cutting measures play in creating the unemployment and poverty often present in so called shithole cities? Is it really all about which political party is in charge?

Bill Tozer

Sign of the times....

-Germany: A 40-year-old African migrant has been arrested after allegedly pushing a woman and her eight-year-old son into the path of an oncoming express train. The incident comes just over a week since Bosnian migrant Jackson B. was accused of throwing 34-year-old Anja B. in front of a train in North-Rhine Westphalia that also led to her death.
Last year another migrant, a 23-year-old asylum seeker from India, attempted to kill a 5-year-old boy along with himself in Wuppertal after grabbing the boy from his family at a train station and jumping in front of a moving train.
Several other incidents of violence have been carried out by migrants in and around train stations in Germany this year including a 50-man brawl in Rastatt, a Syrian man attacking police in a rampage in Augsburg and an Islamic State-linked Iraqi who allegedly attempted to derail trains in Bavaria.” (Yawn. Nothing to see there.)

- Trump Supporters Egged, Milkshaked While Holding ‘Free Hugs’ Sign in Seattle.
(That’s news? It’s who they are)

-Media bans criticizing people of color. (You could see that one coming)
-11 fires break out overnight in Baltimore neighborhood.
-Rob Reiner says all Trump supporters are racist. (Rob said it, thus it must be true. I liked him better as “Meathead” on Archie Bunker)
-ILHAN OMAR RETWEETS TOM ARNOLD CELEBRATING BRUTAL ASSAULT ON RAND PAUL. (Like, what did you expect her to do?)
-MORNING JOE’ GUEST: TRUMP’S BIGOTRY AND RACISM CAN LEAD TO A ‘HORRIBLE CIVIL WAR’ (0h my, that sounds big)
-Chicago: 48 shot, 9 fatality over weekend. (Yawn)

Wow! This one actually is “The Sign of the Times.” An illegal was actually tried and convicted of reckless murder. Most usual. Very uncommon.

“Last week 20-year-old Jorge Ruiz, an illegal alien from Mexico, was convicted of killing Marlena Hayes in a car crash on October 28, 2018. The conviction came after 19th Judicial Circuit Chief Assistant District Attorney C.J. Robinson, Circuit Judge Bill Lewis, and Autauga County law enforcement officials worked to ensure that Ruiz was not able to flee to Mexico to evade the murder charges.”

“Ruiz’s conviction is notable as state officials are not always successful in making sure that charged illegal aliens are not deported before they are tried for their alleged crimes. In the case of 22-year-old Pierce Corcoran, the illegal alien charged with his death was deported to his native Guatemala after being released on a $3,500 bond.

“Now he’s returned home to his family, and it’s kind of a hard thing because our son is forever separated from us,” Angel Mom Wendy Corcoran told Breitbart News at the time.”

''Three days after President Donald Trump attacked Baltimore as a “rat and rodent infested mess,” Gov. Larry Hogan called his comments “outrageous and inappropriate."

“Enough is enough,” Hogan, the state’s Republican governor, said in an interview Monday on WBAL-AM’s “C4″ show. “People are completely fed up with this kind of nonsense. Why are we not focused on solving the problems and getting to work? ... Quite frankly, what is the president doing? What is the Congress doing?”

Hogan has been criticized, including by his predecessor Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley, for not speaking out against Trump, a fellow Republican.

Hogan’s spokesman released a statement over the weekend that said: “Baltimore city is truly the very heart of our state, and more attacks between politicians aren’t going to get us anywhere.”'''

We note that none of the outrages contained stats to counter the metrics that people use to define shithole cities. Apparently the outrages were for someone finally highlighting the blight that has become synonymous with the congressman's district. Or maybe there's another explanation?

RobertC 1238pm - Re political parties, it's hard to tell since we haven't had Repubs in charge for a couple of generations. But any denial of the vast damage that federal aid programs have done to blacks and black families will instantly end the conversations since it hearkens the widely recognized two-universes phenomenon that polarizes us.

Scott O

The Cross One 12:38 - Nice try.
Lots of cities went through serious issues with massive job losses, including Boise. The Dot Com bust cratered the job market here big time. And those were very good paying jobs.
Amazing how lefties constantly excuse folks from the responsibility of behaving themselves because they lost their job. Re: Outsourcing. Usually somebody snarks, “We live global economy, where have you been, knuckle dragger? #Sad.”

Many jobs will not come back. But, if a factory had 11,000 workers in its heyday and now because of Trump’s policies, reopened with 900 or 1,700 workers, that’s better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Bringing some jobs home here, bringing a few tens of billions dollars back there due to lower cooperate tax rates that drove companies overseas. Not all, but slowed the bleeding. Yep, some of those empty factories (and factory towns) dotting the landscape like tombstones are turning the lights back on. Hey, at one time Dutch Flat came in 4th in the balloting for the town to be the Capital of the new State of CA. Dutch Flat may never be but a shell of its former self. Same with Humbug. Or the old China Town in GV where the Holiday Inn sits now....which also was the spot of Greyhound Bus Depot and maintenance yard. Take Greyhound and leave the driving to us. But the new mode of transportation in the Golden State appears to be a U-Haul. Water is the new gold since the 30’s.

The only constant in life is change. Now, if only CA can learn from Trump and lower taxes, reduce business regs, and not kill (destroy) the economy with high energy costs and fees, then maybe more folks will not flee. Nah, never happen. Addicted to tax dollars. Forced to pay to stay. Money, money, money.
Nationally, we gave others the rope to hang ourselves. Don’t think we can outlaw a company from picking up stakes and moving overseas. Might be some little matter of the Constitution getting in the way. The green sprouts Obama talked about are finally taking about. :)

When people riot and burn down their own homes it sends a message to others that you might not want to be here. When a business is robbed and stolen from constantly it sends a message that maybe it has to leave and others refuse to come. That seems to be the issue with urban areas.
Perhaps if the folks there did not sector the means for the livelihood it could possibly change. Trump has sent in the people, methods and money for "Enterprise Zones" and they have been destroyed, robbed and murdered.

My point exactly. Where in the heck has been the Governor of Maryland, the State House, the state legislators, the local politicians, the major, the city council city during all this rat infestation??????? Are they All impotent? And when Trump shines the light on the shithole, they all start scurrying like the cockroaches they are. Turn on the lights and the rats take cover. I never had seen such CYA finger pointing in decades. Now, since Trump’s little harmless tweets, they have ratchet up the finger pointing to 11 on the ‘blame the other guy’ meter
Gotta smoke them out.

Well, if not tweeting and not attacking the politicians closer to the stink has not got
us anywhere, then perhaps Hogan is wrong and attacking politicians for not doing THEIR jobs just might get them off their chairs and on the stick. Shit or get off the pot.
————————-
RATS! IT’S DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN

Fifty-nine House Democrats joined with 148 Republicans to vote down the rat bill. It was the rhetoric, and not the comparatively modest sum involved, that made this a notable episode. Congressmen joked about LBJ’s “civil rats” bill, with a “rat corps” to be presided over by “a high commissioner of rats.” “Mr. Speaker,” the typical speech went, “ I think the ‘rat smart thing’ for us to do is to vote down this rat bill ‘rat now.’” Florida Democrat James Haley suggested releasing “federally funded cats” in the cities instead. The rat bill was successfully revived at the end of the year as a part of a bigger spending bill, but its ignominious treatment in mid-summer foreshadowed the growing revolt against the relentless centralization of modern liberalism.

P.S. When Trump acquired the dilapidated building that became his first major real estate deal—the Park Hyatt Hotel on 42nd Street—he solved the building’s rat infestation during renovations by rounding up stray cats in New York City and moving them into the building. The rat infestation was eradicated quickly—without a government program!

Looks like Trumps son in law is a major contributor to what Trump calls an 'infested mess' in Baltimore including "maggots coming out of a living room carpet."

“It is certainly ironic that the president’s own son-in-law was complicit in contributing to some of the neglect that the president purports to be so concerned about,” Baltimore County Executive John A. Olszewski Jr. told the Washington Post on Saturday.

The paper reported that “in 2017, Baltimore County officials revealed that apartments owned by the Kushner firm were responsible for more than 200 code violations, all accrued in the span of the calendar year. Repairs were made only after the county threatened fines, local officials said, and even after warnings, violations on nine properties were not addressed, resulting in monetary sanctions.
"There were also complaints about maggots coming out of a living room carpet, raw sewage flowing out of a sink, black mold exacerbating a child’s asthma so severely that he was hospitalized twice and a refrigerator not working for so long that a family had to survive “on canned food and boxed milk.”

Kushner Cos. owns almost 9,000 rental units at 17 complexes in Maryland, with most of those located in Baltimore County, according to the Baltimore Sun."

https://www.rawstory.com/2019/07/kushners-dilapidated-properties-under-renewed-scrutiny-after-trump-calls-baltimore-a-rodent-infested-mess/

Todd Juvinall

Yeah that rent control forces landlords to rent to scum who crap and pee all over the carpets. If he complains they riot and call him a racist. So why don't you go give it a try Paul Emery and see how you like seeing the city tewll you how much and to whom you can do business with.

George Rebane

Systemic unemployment is well underway due to technology advancing. And it always starts in the poorest neighborhoods where people with the least education, poorest skill sets, and/or deficient work place cultures. Our Democrat politicians have done all possible to make sure that their urban minority constituents get the poorest education, job training opportunities, and workplace acculturation possible. The plantation must be maintained and the results are what we see. It would definitely be a racist argument to claim that blacks are not able to productively use the monies that are lavished on them and their neighborhoods. And even more so to point out that they could be caring for their neighborhoods and neighbors with a markedly different approach - culture, culture, culture. So I wonder what kind of pabulum their political leaders hand them to explain away their misfortunes, because the bullshit they tell the rest of the country just doesn't fly.

And to think Lena Dunham went there. Lead the student protests against sushi...it was a cultural appropriation issue. Need an Asian on the food staff. Heck, most all the protests were just really complaining about the food cleverly disguised as some Social Justice urgent grievance issue.
I do know Lena feels good about her body and loves herself just as she is and has freed herself from body shame, but...damn girl...throw some clothes on. Some things are better left to the imagination.

And to think it would have all gone away if the shoplifters just come out and say the bakery was not motivated by racism when confronting a student with fake ID and then shoveling bottles of wine down his pants. The offenders finally copped to no racism involved, but the SJWs went nuts and school sent the student body down with bullhorns and flyers and demonstrated in front of the store, telling everybody near and far the bakery discriminates against black people. And they went inside and harassed customers. The school even sent water bottles and lunch down to the students and cut off their contract with the little bakery coffee place hangout.

All the owners wanted was for the shoplifters to say they were not singled out for being black (check) and the school to reinstate the contract and a mild apology. Heck, the bakery was not even going to press charges against the guy for smashing a wine bottle over the bakery owner’s son’s head out on the street when he chased the perv down.....but no. Screw them. The local LE pressed the assault charge, not the bakery. All the stress gave grandpa a heart attack and he still hasn’t recovered. Double screw them. Liars and Libs are synonymous.

The former centrist Democratic mayor of Tampa said the candidates were lurching much too far to the left on key policy issues, damaging the party’s chances of defeating President Donald Trump during next year’s election.

“I don’t think most Americans are comfortable with some of what they heard last debate,” Buckhorn said. “And I think it’s unfortunate.”

Buckhorn’s view is a common one among moderate Democrats. In interviews, many of them expressed deep concern that this week’s debate in Detroit will feature another inevitable shift to the left, one that will alienate swing voters in battleground states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

Last month, Democratic candidates debated — and in many cases, embraced — issues like eliminating private health insurance and decriminalizing illegal border crossings that are unpopular with the broader electorate.

“I hope that in the next debate there’s more of a discussion about education and public safety and issues of the economy and those other issues that a lot of moderates are looking for,” said former Democratic Sen. Mark Begich of Alaska.

Even more alarming, they said, was the speed at which some once-fringe issues were widely adopted by the presidential field, like decriminalizing border crossings.

The idea gained broad acceptance among most of the candidates after being introduced by former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro — despite polls showing that it had little support among the broader public and even uneven backing within the Democratic Party.

Just 27 percent of Americans say it would be a good idea to decriminalize border crossings while 66 percent say it would be a bad idea, according to a NPR/PBS NewsHour/Maris poll released last week. The idea has split support among Democrats, with 45 percent saying it would be a good idea and 47 percent saying it’s a bad idea.

The reason that Dem managed cities for the last couple of generations have turned into shithole communities is evident on how their grassroots constituency views the causes of such derelict governance. Observe how AVMan 452pm blithely sheds his party's responsibility for creating uniform misery in dozens of America's urban areas. Culture. Culture. Culture. We are, as has been clearly demonstrated on these very pages, in the midst of a culture war. In an effort to win the culture war, progressives must claim that Trump is a racist in order to hide the complete deficiency of their ideology. If you want to see what socialism looks like, go to inner-city Baltimore, Chicago, St. Louis, San Francisco, and you will see it with your own eyes. Our inner city African-American brothers and sisters are in an almost impossible situation created by politicians who care about votes and not real Americans. It’s disgusting. Good to see the legend Michael Savage and moi are on the same page. We come from such different backgrounds.

“Where has all the Federal and State highway funding gone? The streets are worse than some African nations! Even the roadway going on to the iconic Golden gate bridge is a disgrace! The streets are littered, bums rule the sidewalks. Junkies shoot up in front of children. People are afraid to go out at night. Assaults by bums are swept under the radar by the non-newspaper. Over 30,000 cars are broken into each year! Police do nothing because the psycho-lib ‘judges’ dismiss those few cases that are prosecuted. Need I mention the well-known epidemic of human feces on the sidewalks? Have you ever eaten dinner and seen a filthy human being drop his pants and crap outside the restaurant as you are attempting to eat? Where are Pelosi, Feinstein and the other oh-so compassionate rulers?”

30,000 cars broken into each year in Skin Popper City. Most of those are smashed windows so the bums can rifle through the cars looking for anything to steal. 30,000 a year and the cops don’t bother to even roll out. Make a report over the phone or e-mail it in. Why bother? Good thing the millennials are tech savvy and have their poop app to know where to step. The old saying “when walking through a mine field, it is highly recommended to follow in the exact footsteps of those who made it through” applies. Unless, of course, you have your face buried in the I-phone looking at the poop app and inadvertently step right into something squishy.

Was it Roberta who told me I mustn’t read Michael Savage? I get them confused.
There has been so many pocket rocket sock puppets that have come over here to burn my books and tell be what I can and cannot read that I don’t rightly recall if it was Roberta or some other member of the Leftinista Police State. I do not believe they meant well.

I do like the nickname Savage gave Adam Shiffylips (D-CA). Calls him “The Inchworm.” And calling the FUE’s former employer before his last former employer as the city’s non-newspaper is right on the money. Like Porky’s non-blog in my neck of the woods.

SteveF 844am – You did indeed kill Prop 23 (and others) and added that to the pile of hurt the Left has put on CA over the years. And now with your insane super-majority one-party state (guaranteed by the state’s growing population of gimmes), none will deny your ability to continue the rapacious extraction of tribute from CA’s wage earners. But what I defy you to demonstrate is that anything you leftists have done or promise to do will result in ANY measurable “mitigation” of “the impacts of climate change”. And what you will avoid at all cost is the application of any science or engineering to define a causal chain and a metric to assess the resulting ‘benefits’ of your continuing power grab and money pissing exercises. But I can guarantee that during all this the sidewalk turd count in the state’s Dem-controlled cities will go up, and our kids will graduate dumber from union dominated public schools.

Re PaulE 947am – this comment reflects the Left’s understanding of the structure and dynamics of municipal governance. For problems that took decades to bake into our metropolises under Dem city governments, these worthies now think that a president at the federal level can assuage such ongoing social disasters in two years, while they are still writhing under dysfunctional leftwing governments and a party that opposes the current president in every way imaginable. What also continues to astound about their depth(!) of understanding is that none of the Dems in the governance chain of shithole cities has lifted a finger to identify and fix the cultural fundamentals without which pouring in endless buckets of money is useless (save for guaranteeing the re-election of the political leeches). It took President Trump, through his direct albeit clumsy communications, to finally point the finger at the crooks who are the benefactors of it all – the more misery, the better.

RockH 1032am – This leftwinger is completely off the wall. No one here pretends that the Right is in charge of anything other than continuing to maintain the country’s wealth generating capacity the best they can.

What will the socialist dems do about the chi coms election interference, thwart it or cheer it on and parrot the propaganda? -

China has been protesting western powers trying to interfere in the domestic politics of China but in fact China is not only trying interfere in the domestic politics of the United States, they are interfering publicly with U.S. elections," Guo told the Washington Free Beacon.

According to Guo, who has known current Chinese President Xi Jinping for more than 10 years, the anti-Trump influence operation is being directed by Xi and Wang through the Communist Party of China (CCP) National Security Commission, a high-level body created in 2013 that since then has tightened control over all other security organs.

"For the 2020 U.S. presidential election, the security committee has given very clear instructions that it is not permissible for Trump to win the 2020 election," Guo said speaking through an interpreter.

By deploying its intelligence and influence resources in the United States, the CCP is working to exploit the harsh political divisions between Democrats and Republicans in seeking to unseat the Trump administration.

"President Trump has already caused a lot of damage to the CCP, so they have declared he will not be allowed to have another four years in power," the dissident said.
Chinese interference into American politics was first disclosed by Trump in September and a month later in a speech by Vice President Mike Pence.

You need to clarify how long shithole cities have been controlled by Democrats. Baltimore has had a Democrat Mayor at the helm since 1967. When a shithole city has been controlled by Democrats for two generations, it’s kinda hard not to be fair minded about where the problem lies. Sure, you might find a shot hole city that had a one term R Mayor in the last 25 years. Detroit goes way back Chicago the same. And not just the mayor, but the city councils as well, as many city councils are more Commie-Lite than the mayors.

Despite all the attention focused on Baltimore over the last 3 days, not one city crew or garbage truck has been dispatched to the places recently highlighted in videos as of this morning. How hard is it to pick up the phone? I reckon the storm will blow over and only the carnage of the past will remain the same. In other words, back to normal.

Interesting to see that Baltimore's poverty level at 24% is twice the national average, but the good news is Baltimore is below Mayor Pete’s South Bend, which sits at 25%, lol.

What happening with the DCCC? Chaos! Turmoil! Tension! Upheaval!

“The top echelon of staffers at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee left their jobs Monday, a shakeup following a pair of POLITICO stories detailing deep unease with the party’s campaign apparatus over a lack of diversity.

“A staff turnover of this magnitude seven months into the Democrats’ majority is jarring, and will present Bustos with a set of new challenges. She will be forced to rebuild the committee’s top leadership from scratch in the middle of a presidential campaign that has much of the party’s best talent tied up.”

The staff shakeup follows a tumultuous weekend for Bustos and her senior team, in which they struggled to respond to demands from Democratic lawmakers and committee aides that actions immediately be taken to address the diversity issues.

“Jaslow convened an emergency all-staff meeting Friday that was described as "very emotional" by a committee aide present. Jaslow cried as she took responsibility for not doing enough to diversify the upper ranks as some staffers complained that neither she or her deputies were people of color.

Interesting you mentioned burn it down. The neglected and forgotten American citizens in the shithole blackeye parts of Baltimore say they think the city is simply waiting for everyone to leave. Could be. Property values are so low that maybe the liberals in charge are waiting for the last person to leave so they can bulldoze the whole place. The City and Elijah definitely appear to act like that is their plan.

With the billions dumped into the city by Trump’s HUD so far, this is reminding me more and more of the billions of HUD dollars siphoned away (stolen) by corrupt politicians and dollars repurposed to pay civil servants in Puerto Rico. Got to grease the skids. More government programs is the answer.
The Police Union Rep just said that there are not enough police officers in Baltimore to even respond to all the 911 calls. Just like Detroit, where you can buy a house for $500 and pay 10k/year in property taxes. Burn it down! Strike that. That would put too much carbon in the air. Bulldoze it down!
Mr. Cummings, tear down those walls.

PaulE 1103am - Well of course; just point them out.

Kinda of odd that Baltimore was a nothingburger in the news for years until Trump’s tweets. A yawner, nothing to see here until one little man and his Twitter machine shook the place to its foundations. The forgotten person “will be forgotten no more.” A promise kept.

One little man with a little handheld pocket devise against the Greatest Army of Resistance ever assembled on the face of the Earth. Like the little shepherd boy with nothing but a small stone and a slingshot against the biggest most fiercest warrior, the giant Goliath. Goliath's bellowing voice made armies tremble. Just took one boy and a slingshot to take him down. One little man and a twitter pocket device is all it takes. Amazing.

What is more amazing is Trump got the entire Democrat Party to rally around and embrace the anti-Semitic Jew Hating America Hating ‘Squad’. What is even more amazing is that Trump got the whole Democrat Party to now defend rats.

2ndchancebill@comcast.nel

Democrats must defend each other’ on Baltimore because they’re destroying America’s cities

“The fact of the matter is the Democrats must defend each other in their handling of these various metropolitan areas, because these various metropolitan areas have been in control of the Democrat Party for half a century or more,” Levin explained. “In the case of Baltimore, since the 1940s.”

“And they are unraveling, the civil societies are collapsing,” Levin continued of Democrat-run major cities. “They attack their own police forces. They appoint liberal activist judges. They keep raising taxes. They keep pushing out individuals who pay taxes. And so you have the decline — severe decline — of living standards in these communities. Not because of race, not because of the federal government, not because of rich people: Because of the Democrat Party and those who run these cities.”

Levin went on to point out that “Baltimore’s not alone” and mentioned the problems of Democrat-run cities Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. “Who runs these cities? Republicans don’t run these cities. Democrats run these cities.”

“And so it is,” the host concluded. “The president of the United States talks about a rat-infested city like Baltimore, that it’s disgusting what’s happening in these cities, we know exactly what he meant. The nation knows exactly what he means; in fact, the Democrats know exactly what he means.”

Hmm. Sounds like the Rat Shitholes are crawling with Democrats. Change my mind. What is getting lost in the conversation is the mention of roaches. We need to be more inclusive.

Can you afford not doing it? Jacobins are coming. :). They are never satisfied. They, like your area’s forefathers, literally eat their own...and a couple Truckee Indians. Yummie in the tummy, nothing personal. Hire a Truckee Indian, Bro.
