Todd Juvinall

Maybe Russ or Gregory can answer this question. I just heard Joe Bastardi on Tucker say the planet has ever been greener. My question is how much CO2 is absorbed by the green? Billions of tons? And how much is put into the atmosphere?

Jig Wiggly

Good God. Still waiting for Jade Helm jack booted thugs leaping out of black helicopters to take your guns. Are y'all still waiting too? And now we have A-2030. Can't wait to see the A-2030 comic books coming to a roundabout near you. With a free roll of tin foil.

George Rebane

Jig 912pm - You're right on schedule Mr Wiggly, but I think you may have forgotten your point. Do you have one?

Don Bessee

The jiggly one should consult with beta boy beto and the Nevada city tin foil hat crew. They might understand you. Gigglies from the jiggly one.

Have at it.

Todd Juvinall

Gregory, I could not find what I wanted. Can you pinpoint it?

Jig Wiggly

Todd normally I would scoff, but I'm starting to understand the depth of your stupidity and ignorance, so am lending you helping hand.

Plants metabolize about 25 billion tons of CO2 annually. Human activities discharge about 50 billion tons. Hope to see you out on the river today doing your part to clean up the planet.

Bill Tozer

The yellow Yuba?

Todd Juvinall

Jig Wiggly | 21 September 2019 at 08:15 AM

Where did you find those "facts" troll?

Won't be at the river cleaning your trash, I'll leave that to you lemmings.

So jiggers is headed to clean up LIB bum garbage. They will thank you by leaving more. Just pick up the bum turds from the clean end.

Bill Tozer

Yellow River by I. P. Freely

I see the LIB rag known as the Union is sure on the ball.(NOT)
Gotta read in the Sac Bee that the South Yuba is closed to swimming due to turning piss yellow?
"Nevada County officials have warned people not to swim or use the water in the South Yuba River after it turned yellow Friday.

It is unknown what caused the water to turn, but Nevada County officials are saying that the apparent “high levels of sediment” make for potentially unsafe conditions and have issued a no-swim advisory for the river. The affected stretch of river is from Washington to Lake Englebright."

I'm sure pot growers have nothing to do with it.

It's just all the river rats taking a leak at once.

Scott O

Jiggly 8:15 - You might want to expand your knowledge base beyond DK and Mother Jones.

The total CO2 cycle of production and consumption as well as the models for its effects on our planet's climate are not very well understood.
The dozens of failed predictions by climate extremists gives proof to that.

Steven Frisch

Let's agree for a minute that virtually all life on earth depends either directly or indirectly from some form of energy transfer through photosynthesis...

There are an estimated 550 gigatons of carbon of life in the world. A gigaton is equal to a billion metric tons. So that is 550 billion metric tons. A metric ton is 1,000 kilograms, or about 2,200 pounds.

There are a variety different measures of global human caused CO2e emissions but roughly 37 billion tons is generally agreed upon net emissions....

But that is not the full picture, one must subtract from that number global uptake (carbon captured in vegetation, soils, and the ocean) of CO2e--

Global emissions are outpacing global uptake by roughly a 2:1 ratio.

Here is an inventory of emissions by sector and region:

From 1870 to 2014, cumulative human caused carbon emissions totaled about 545 GtC or roughly equal to all of the carbon currently in the atmosphere. Emissions were partitioned among the atmosphere (approx. 230 GtC or 42%), ocean (approx. 155 GtC or 28%) and the land (approx. 160 GtC or 29%).

To put that into perspective, the total amount of human caused CO2e emissions since the beginning of the industrial revolution is roughly equal to the total amount of CO2e that is in the atmosphere today, but toughly 50% of what we have put into the atmosphere has been reabsorbed into the earth through photosynthesis.

Steven Frisch

Point of clarification: "There are a variety different measures of global human caused CO2e emissions but roughly 37 billion tons is generally agreed upon net emissions...."

That is annual.

Steven Frisch

Yubanet reported on this within an hour of the closure...just saying :)

Steven Frisch

Todd, one final variable you need to take into consideration the persistence in the atmosphere of different CO@e gasses....About 50% of a CO2 increase will be removed from the atmosphere within 30 years through natural (photosynthesis) carbon cycling. A further 30% will be removed within a few centuries. The remaining 20% may stay in the atmosphere for many thousands of years.

From U.S Greenhouse Gas Inventory Reports:

The "issue" is the 20% of CO@e that stays in the atmosphere for centuries or thousands of years...that is what accounts for the accumulation of ppm in the atmosphere, and is the driver of the increase from roughly 200 ppm in 1750 to 400 ppm in 2015.

Steven Frisch

BTW, the difference between Jig Wiggly's 50 Btc and my 37 Btc is likely the conversion factor for other persistent greenhouse gasses which has been changing as new data comes in. For example the CH4 (methane) to CO2 conversion ratio used to be 24:1. Recent data has pegged it at 34:1 over 100 years and 85:1 in the first 20 years...so the issue is kind of dependent upon which conversion ratios one uses.

Steven Frisch

Oops, that would be 1:24; 1:34 & 1:85.

Steven Frisch

Just to be clear this is the part of George's statement that is bat shit crazy, conspiracy theory thinking....

"The goals taken in toto were an antithesis for the retention of sovereign nation-states as the fundamental structure of world order. A21 called for an authoritarian global government whose operational goals were actually to markedly lower human population, reduce its consumption of earth’s resources, and restrict people’s access to most of earth’s land area and natural resources."

Jig Wiggly

Todd 8:51-
Smithsonian Institute.
As Steve and Scott suggested, there are many variable involved, but I gave you nice round numbers to play with. Can't wait to see what computational analysis a mentally challenged 12th grade graduate like you can muster.

Bill Tozer

Where is Ozz? With 700,000 yearly visitors to the South Yuba recreational area and just a handful of jonny smiths on the spot, it begs to reason that a whole lot of pissing in the South Fork is going on. That’s 700,000 bladders a year being drained into the watershed. The cumulative effect has finally caught up.

Just to be clear this is the part of George's statement that is bat shit crazy, conspiracy theory thinking....

Just to be clear.... this is the part of Steve's statement where the crack marketing department at Environmentalism Inc. springs into action to reassure the cattle that there's nothing even slightly dangerous behind the door at the top of the ramp......

fish - That's what is so comical about the hysteria by the eco-nuts concerning the Paris Accords.
China promised they would INCREASE their CO2 out put.
Go figure.

Scott O

Frisch 10:09 "Just to be clear this is the part of George's statement that is bat shit crazy, conspiracy theory thinking...."
Actually - it's exactly what is being called for and not just by the UN.
You can stick your fingers in your ears and dance around with your eyes closed, but that's reality.
But don't worry - there will be nothing left but amoebas on this earth in 50 years.
That's your side talking, Steve.
Now who's bat-shit crazy?

George Rebane

SteveF 1009am - I see that you're still struggling with the definition of 'conspiracy' and 'conspiracy theory'. Neither A21 nor Aganda 2030 have to do with either. It is only you of the calcified collectivists who continue to maintain that these well publicized UN agendas are some sort of secret conspiracies. But if you are looking for some form of conspiracy in all this, then consider what you'd call the refusal of lamestream media outlets to connect A21 and now A2030 objectives with the socialist objectives that our progressives are proposing in their 2020 campaigning.

Note to Stevie "Wonder". Yubanet ain't The Union.
Still nothing on the page.

Steven Frisch

I fail to see how setting a set of voluntary aspirational goals like the GSD goals and each nation that desires attempting to achieve them using their own governance systems as they see fit can be defined as 'authoritarian' 'collectivist' or 'socialist' or how they reduce 'sovereignty' or issue in a new 'world order.'

That is the conspiracy theory--that this is a new world order.

What you object to is that how we achieve those goals if we choose to do so does not comport to your political philosophy. But that is democracy buddy....you put your ideas out there and society decides the path. I think you're just bummed your ideas are losing.

It doesn’t appear that “our side” is losing all that badly Steve! I hope we’re both around to see the reaction of your “New Soviet Man” when you stick him/her with the bill for your virtue signaling.

,,,Pay no nevermind to Wally the Mud Pie Maker,,,he keeps throwing Troll darts hoping that one will stick but he cannot even get on the board!!!

Looks like a someone's pond dam blew out putting a load of sediment into the river.

Wally tries to blame the pot growers,,,I thought that was Bessie's game...

,,,Pay no nevermind to Wally the Mud Pie Maker,

Now don’t squander this opportunity for you two to enjoy having something in common dugsKKKi....Walt makes mud pies. He uses a backhoe. You make mud pies....in your pants!

That's your excuse Steve? Your as bad a Jeffy.

LOL Dougy,, and just WHO dams up little creeks? DOPE GROWERS... Dumbass......

Well Dougy,, it could be the wonder EPA opening up another plugged mine tunnel. They are good at that. The Proggy's ECO gang still infest that part of government.

Bill Tozer

MMM Gobbledygook

Should you be down at the river scraping shreds of wet toilet paper off the rocks?

I wouldn’t be surprised if the eco-nuts did this just to get more money from Uncle Sam to keep things humming along. It’s their M.O. Then blame some dead white guys.

Hmm, come to thing of it, wasn’t the pot bust (with environmental watershed concerns) right about where this started? Around Spring Creek between Edwards Crossing and the 49 Bridge? Yes, I do believe that is exactly where the pot bust was.

Hmm. Come to think about it again. With the Celtic Festival coming up, maybe the fiddle players went to the river and lifted their kilts. Anybody seen Punchy? River looks like goat piss. Or is that sheep piss? All smells the same to me.

Scott O

What a laugh - "...you put your ideas out there and society decides the path. I think you're just bummed your ideas are losing."
Frisch, the science of AGM has fallen apart. Dr Mann has been exposed. The experts have been proven wrong. All your side has left is hysteria. Aren't you proud? Scaring little children with a pack of lies. Those aren't 'ideas' those are just fear-mongering lies.
Once again Frisch and the rest refuse to answer or face reality.
Frisch sides with the "nothing left but amoebas in 50 years"!!!
And what happened to "the end of snow"?

Steven Frisch

Posted by: Scott O | 21 September 2019 at 03:00 PM

Never said all that was left was amoeba, never said that there would never be any snow again, can't help it if your in the camp with the morons who can't tell the difference between climate and weather, the proof for AGW is growing not "fallen apart" and even young people who consider themselves conservative have shifted to the understanding that AGW is real, a threat to humanity, and we must do something about it.

Al that is really left to happen is all you old farts fading away.....c-ya.

That's how the game is played.. Nope,, not the climate,, it's just the weather. Gotta love those excuses.

Not one True believer has given an answers to the questions of when the climate didn't change?,, and when the seas didn't rise.
Just before the first caveman discovered fire and figured out how to light one?

Not one of you ECO bastards come close to practicing what you preach.

Don Bessee

This sure sound frishcy -

Does this headline sound hyperbolic to you? It’s no exaggeration, I promise.
Progressive political elites have decided that in order to save the environment, ordinary citizens must submit to radical lifestyle changes (while those same elites fly around the world on private jets and enrich themselves from trade with China, the world’s biggest polluter).

The reality may even be worse than the headline. Not only have progressive environmentalists suggested that we all switch to a diet of bugs instead of meat (especially steak, because cow farts produce carbon dontcha know), one Swedish scientist even suggested we devour the flesh of deceased humans to cut greenhouse emissions.

This followed an article published by Newsweek in which two psychologists mused on the human taboo against cannibalism, noting that “philosophers have argued that burying the dead could be wasteful in the context of the fight against world hunger.”

Cannibalism for the climate — that’s how far they’ve gone!

Population control is another solution embraced by geniuses on the left. This dystopian idea attracted attention recently after Bernie Sanders brought it up at the last Democrat presidential debate, saying people need to be “need to curb population growth.”

Well, that depends on how you define “a home.” Is a recycled sewer pipe a home? The OPod Tube House is the latest “solution” imagined for young people who can’t afford a real house or apartment in the city. These “homes” are constructed from recycled industrial piping, and are designed to be stacked on top of each other.

If that isn’t enough of a dystopian cyberpunk nightmare for you, consider “parasite pods” — small homes designed to be attached to larger structures like skyscrapers and bridges. They’re “parasitic” — and we must credit the architectural students who came up with the concept for their refreshingly honest choice of name — because they cling to larger structures. Are you ready to be a parasite, for the environment?

Fried insects for lunch, in your parasite pod, single-occupancy of course. Cycle everywhere, unless you want to face crippling carbon taxes. Drink your iced latte with a paper straw, don’t have kids, and when you die, remember to donate your human flesh to a local restaurant.

Frisch 5:57 -- one must consider Scott O's reading material. earlier he posted a link to a site called "ice age now" which is considered to be "strong Conspiracy and quackery level Pseudoscience website that is Low in factual reporting as well as the publication of false climate news stories."-- source: media/bias fact check

Who want to go in on buying the rights to use Soylent Green?
A BK DHL shipping terminal would do nicely for a dead PROGGY processing plant.
Sell the "green chips" at all the dope shops to help fight the munchies.

Scott O

Frisch - "the proof for AGW is growing not "fallen apart"..."
The premier scientific leader of AGW for decades is Dr Mann and he just got his ass handed to him in court. And the reason for it was that Dr Mann couldn't come up with anything to prove his stupid theory. He was, and is, a fraud. He got called on it and he came up totally empty. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. All the models and predictions have been proven wrong.
The only thing 'growing' is the number of brain-washed youth who go along with this crap because no one has shown them the facts.
It's your side, Steve, that said all that will be left in 50 years on earth will be amoebas. Not one single AGW blow hard has even tried to correct that nonsense. And I notice that you won't deny it.
So - it doesn't matter if you didn't say it. If you let that kind of crap fill the minds of the young, then you are complicit in furthering it. You can't have it both ways. If you want to crow about the 'growing' number of young that believe this stuff then you have to face the lies that they are being told to make them believe it.

Scott O

Crossed up Bobby 6:59 - We all notice that you can't deny the facts from the link.
Is that the best you can do?
You don't like the facts so you try to impugn the person telling you the facts?
Is that really how you go through life?

Bill Tozer

Walt @ 7:40 pm

You gotta understand Pants Up To The Chin, aka, the formerly fat Jerry Nadler. The Justice Democrats have targeted him for the primaries. That’s why he is going for the BS impeachment “preliminary investigation”. Got find those facts. The Justice Democrats are screaming to impeach Trump for something beyond the four corners of the Mueller Report. Anything. That one Texas Congressman wants Trump to be impeached for being discriminatory, roflmao.

So, formerly Fat Jerry has to deliver. He knows it ain’t going anywhere and the Dems are short 43 votes. The Constitutional method is that the full house votes to open impeachment hearings. So Nads comes up with the “not an real impeachment inquiry investigation” just to throw some red meat to the Unhinged like the Sunshine Club (or whatever they are called), the Squad, the triggered like Jiggs, and smear Bad Orange Man until the election in 2020. Boy, are they pissed off about everything. They want the government to be just like it was on campus. Brrrrrrrr. Thought leave my mind, thank you.

There are some D-Reps that are in tight districts and if they vote to start impeachment hearings before the next election, that will be their pink slips. 43 shy, but has been growing pretty fast. Used to be only 43 yeas. Or eleven or 29 yeas.

Nadler’s background is he was the ticket fixit judge. He don’t want to be primaried. His plate is so full trying to pacify the Jacobians and SJWs and the far left base that he told them “no mass” when they tried to put Kavanaugh impeachment on his already overfull plate. No time for anything else. Also, Nadler has an empty noggin and surprisingly not the sharpest tool in the shed. He will say and do anything they want right now....by stalling.....to keep it all front and center on the daily news cycle.

The Kavanaugh bogus claim last week is just a foretaste of what is to come. Bloody Trump, but he comes out on top. As that one R legislator said, “Go ahead and impeach. I dare ya. I double dog dare you.” :) Gotta find those facts. The facts they have so far they simple do not like them.

Nadler will say anything right now, whether he believes it or not, whether he thinks it’s a load of horse pucky or not.

We just got the warning.. POWER MAY BE CUT OFF.... HIGH WIND WARNING.

Jiggered must have had a rough day. Being hitched up to the garbage cart can take it out of ya'. Not a peep all evening.

Don Bessee

Beat ya to it Walt @824 on the thread but the trolls need to hear truthful things multiple times especially the oh so trollish set slavishly regurgitating the talking points for lefties.

The other thing is the proliferation of new media people keeping an eye on the socialists and their clown car has gained critical mass offsetting the discredited media tools of the left.

The viewer numbers tell the story.

Don.. TROLL chow is worth repeating.. A good 2x4 works on a DEM mule pretty well

Scott @ 8:30- Bravo! perfect; maybe Steve's salvageable...

Now just what were they saying about not eating meat? It's not ECO friendly??
Lying bastards.....

I have no Idea where you are getting this amoeba nonsense; I never said it, I have never heard anyone but you say it, I don't believe it, and I have never defended it.

I have actually been a proponent of the the idea that humans are much more adaptable than we give them credit for, that the idea that "we have 12 years" (which actually just meant we have 12 years to hold temperature increase to 2°C not that the species has 12 years) is nonsense, and that the path is a 50 year process not a 10 year process.

The young are being influenced by a much broader range of science than your cherry picked critique of Mann...and since you will never change your mind...I just chuckle... at the fact that they will laugh on your grave.

You sure use that line a lot Stevie,, "cherry picked".
You really need to keep up on the ECO PROGGY bullshit your side spews. And since your live like a leach of ECO unicorn dreams you deserve all the flack you get. Now would be a real good time for you to show your ECO minions how well life will be without the use of fossil fuels. Dare ya... Or are you going to use the cherry picked excuse of "well,, when everyone else does."

Robert Cross

ScottOO-- 8:35 -- " We all notice that you can't deny the facts from the link. -- " What facts? You apparently have gone through your life believing whatever BS fits your narrative facts be damned. No shit...these guys would not be able to identify a fact f it bit them in the ass...or the Todd.

Hey Todd, do you think you understand photosynthesis yet?

Walt, if you have a problem with non profit organizations I suggest you take it to George and Todd pastors, or to the Chamber of Commerce, or the fucking Heritage Foundation....what you have a problem with is people who don't share your tiny 'opinion.'

Triggered much Stievie? Now you attack the church? Nice try asswipe,, NO GOV. money goes there. It's all donations from the community. I can do without the chamber of commerce,, so there.
Your just a scam artist.. Pushing ECO graves yet? Looking for your cut of that action too?

Funny,, you sure won't answer simple questions. Like,,, "when didn't the climate change?"
"Council" everyone on that smartass.

Bill Tozer

Nadler delivers

“People think, well, the sea leavels are rising, it’ll cost us $100 billion to relocate, two million people will die in Bangladesh in India because that’s bad enough,” Nadler said. “It’s much, much worse.”

“I have a thirteen year-old grandaughter and when I look at her, I get terrified,” Nadler continued. “I don’t know if human life will survive fifty years. We may face, the climate scientists tell us, that we may face the sixth mass extiniction in the history of the globe.”

Nadler then shifted his focus to the acidification of the oceans, which he says will “destroy the entire food chain.”

“If the oceans acidify, which they’re beginning to do, they will destroy the entire food chain and essentially all that will be left will be bacteria and maybe some plants.”

Don @6:20 pm

Recycled sewer pipes as housing? Parasitic pods attached to building and bridges? Talk about Stack and Pack. Sounds like a futurist novel with the Q of L taking nosedive. Reminds me of George Lucas’s first movie “THX 1138”, but above ground.

Stevie Frisch, I notice there's a new old white guy on your board of directors... a past principal and owner at WECO Aerospace, effectively shut down by the FAA for shoddy work... and a current elected Placer County Supervisor.

You're still at 100% lilly white at the wretchedly misnamed Sierra Business Council. How's fixing that going?

SO's "amoeba" is funny as hell... you just can't see hyperbole for what it is when it's aimed at your sacred cows, can you?

Sorry, Stevie, but Science is not a social construct. Neither is climate. The Children's Crusade för Climate led by Greta d'Arc is pure political theater led by a girl first traumatized by the scare at age 8.

....the narrative needs to go on.....that comfy Truckee retirement isn’t going to fund itself!

Actually, I have my own serious doubts whether or not the human race will still be around in 50 yrs time, at least as presently structured. There are too many people for our own good, particularly when all 9 billion attain the American QOL. Nuclear proliferation is possibly lethal and the strain on resources almost unimaginable. I can think of a half-dozen potential game-enders.

I'm not alone in this- look at this blog's byline.

As I look out on a darkening horizon, there is one truly bright spot. Of all the things that could signal our approaching demise as a species, the Climate change hoax is the last one anyone needs to lose any sleep over. To the extent it's happening (gradual temp increase, better weather, higher CO2) it is an unmitigated good.

LEFTY PROTESTERS ARE ALWAYS PIGS: So much for clearing up the planet! Climate change protesters who marched through Manhattan are branded hypocrites for leaving litter strewn across the city.

That’s why it was so shocking when the Tea Party folks left things cleaner than they found them.

Sorry about missing Frisch's follies yesterday... I was at a type specific training event held by the American Bonanza Society at McClellan Field. Ground school. The round trip flight was short ... barely long enough to get the oil warmed up.

Driving would have taken an extra hour each way and would have felt wrong despite the lower 'carbon footprint' (though not that much lower)... where's the fun in that?

Frisch 1002am

"Hey Todd, do you think you understand photosynthesis yet?"

Hey Stevie, do *you* think *you* understand photosynthesis?
Personally, I don't claim to *understand* it, but Todd's question of co2 being turned into green was needing some context. The green chlorophyll is in the protein boxes in which the near-magic of turning sunlight, water and co2 into sugars and other carbohydrates happens. In other words, the 'green' is part of the engine that eats co2 and spits out O2 and carbs.

"L", no way will 9 billion folk attain the current American QOL, nor is it a given Americans will keep it.

I expect there will be less food to go around in 2030, and much less in the years afterwards... the number of mouths that need to be fed will adjust.

Robert and Steven I would like to hear your explanations for how an increase in temperatures of 2-3 C will destroy civilization. It is clear that humans have survived under higher temperatures for the last 10,000 years.

According to the ice cores, the planet has been cooling for the last 10,000 years and our current warming in an unusual spike similar to previous warming spikes, the Minoan, Roman, and Medieval Warming periods. Those warming spikes collapsed into long periods of cold temperatures, and so will the current warming if it has not already started.

George Rebane

Bwaaak!! Consensus science, consensus science! Bwaaak!

Todd, these linking my help with your green impact questions.

In 2016 a paper was published by 32 authors from 24 institutions in eight countries that analysed satellite data and concluded that there had been a roughly 14% increase in green vegetation over 30 years. The study attributed 70% of this increase to the extra carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The lead author on the study, Zaichun Zhu of Beijing University, says this is equivalent to adding a new continent of green vegetation twice the size of the mainland United States.

Todd Juvinall

Thanks Russ. It looks to me that Frisch's response was all about guesses. And his snark is well noted about photosynthesis. I learned all about it in 7th grade, long before he did. But I guess he got a smackdown by Gregory for his attempts to "educate" me and theirs with his propaganda. I looked for the amount of tonnage of green algae in the waters of the world as those algae are now being toted as a savior regarding a food source by the eco-nuts. Did not find one mention. And we know that water vapor supplies 80 percent of the total "greenhouse" gases are not a mention form Frisch.

Scott O

Ignorant Steve - "I have no Idea where you are getting this amoeba nonsense;..."
And mighty proud of it, too.
He couldn't even take the 2 seconds to Google it and find out. It would have taken him less time to educate himself than the time it took him to bray about his ignorance.
I think that sums up what Steven Frisch is about.

Scott O

Booby Cross - "What facts?"
Uh - they were in the article I posted the link to.
You will have to read the article. Sorry - reading is what educated people do.
Booby has nothing to back up his BS other than repeating himself.
Maybe if we keep pulling the string enough times he can cough up a coherent argument.

Scott O

Oh yeah - "I just chuckle... at the fact that they will laugh on your grave."
Considering that "they" are terrified of the future, I'm surprised there will be any laughter at all.
Really Steve - first you boast of your ignorance and then you come up with that?
I'm trying to understand what that has to do with science. Looks like you have given up talking about AGM due to my "cherry picking" with the topic of Dr Mann. It's a nice ploy. Every time some one comes up with facts you can't rebut, you wave them away by saying "cherry picking".
There's a whole orchard of cherry trees out there, Steve.
CO2 is not a pollutant and scaring children is not science.

Bill Tozer

“• So my understanding is that the climatistas are planning some kind of protest in DC today whose centerpiece will be blocking morning traffic so that . . . The Swamp can’t get to work? How is The ResistanceTM going to function? I’m not sure the climatistas have thought this one all the way through, since I am wholly on their side for once; in fact, I wish they’d blockade Washington every day.

“Just think of what Trump will be able to do today without The ResistanceTM at their swampy desks. Given his level of energy, he can sell us out to Russia by noon, build 1,000 miles of border wall by 5 pm, evict the United Nations from New York and sign a condo conversion deal for the buildings before dinner is finished.”

Bill Tozer

But while the #ShutDownDC march might not have accomplished its aims — namely to bring an immediate halt to the practice of capitalism in order to save the Earth — it did provide a measure of entertainment to its social media audience. And there were definitely some highlights:

Scott O

BT 3:14 - I could have sworn CO2 was the problem. Now it's "imperialism".
And the biggest imperialist by far these days is China. I'd love to see those dancing fools try that in Beijing.
This isn't science in any way - it's theater. Of the absurd.
Folks like Frisch love to try and distance themselves from this folly, but he'll turn around and point them as 'proof' his side is 'winning'.
If we could all just have our own private jets to fly around the world and warn our lessers of the impending doom, we'd have the global crises all solved in double time.

It hurts when the truth is acknowledged by the judiciary ya socialist lamestream bitches!

Some legal experts view the rulings as signs that the courts’ view of the media is beginning to change, with more judges embracing the notion that major news outlets are partisan combatants rather than engaged in a dispassionate search for the truth.

“It does seem to me there is a seismic shift,” said Jane Kirtley, a University of Minnesota law professor and former executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. “Judges are being very skeptical about the news media’s motives. … I think it’s fair to raise the point of whether this is part of a general disquiet with what the media are doing and whether they’re now being seen increasingly as having a partisan agenda.”
