Travel-gate xpenses.

Yep, they been floating that lead trial ballon around for over a week now. Been trying to gain traction, and even a lob every couple of days over here. At least somebody acknowledged the Comma Puppets’ lame attempts to gain traction over here. Wow. Crime of the Century.

Under the heading ‘Waste of Time’.
I could choose to say that when one of the Obama girls missed the cute WH puppy while skiing at a Colorado resort in continuation of their beach vacation, Marine One was sent to Florida to pick the pooch up. The SS had to rent the entire ski resort and ski runs so that Obama could ski, with SS in tow. All to himself.
When a local TV guy figured out the cost of having the Obamas there for just one day for meals and expenses and the mountain (not the travel and other expenses), he ran the story on the local station. The station was called, the story was pulled, and never ran again. National Security reasons. The Obamas were there for 3 days. Guy almost lost his job.
Oh, I could mention Marine One flying off somewhere to retrieve Hillary’s shoes, but I choose not to. It’s a waste of time.

FYI Michele O had a staff of 125 in the WH just for her schedule a d correspondence and the like, while Melania had a staff of about 19 for the longest time, then it jumped to 29.

Release those travel and security expenses! What are you hiding?. What, what, what???? I knew it! Trump the Liar is hiding real bad stuff. I just know what’s in those travel expenses. Eureka! We will get Bolden to spill the beans.

,,,Exactly George,,,that is why they won't debate Trump's '''personal days''' and the cost to babysit him and his family...and compare it to Obama's vacay record...

They know they will lose...

Do you ever wonder where Trump is going every time he does one of his Chopper Chats...probably golfing...

But that is not the rest of the story which is Mnuchin trying to cover up by delaying the release of info till after the election...

Po ol Occam says it is simply because the costs are so obscene they would disgust even the big spending Conservos!!!

OUCH!! Some LIBS just got their wee wee whacked. They ain't happy their vote rigging stall tactics ain't working.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/wisconsin-judge-orders-election-commission-to-purge-up-to-209k-names-from-rolls-in-battleground-state
"A Wisconsin judge on Monday found the state’s Elections Commission and three of its members in contempt of court and ordered the commission to remove up to 209,000 names from the state's voter rolls, in a case that could have major implications later this year in a key battleground state.

Saying in his ruling that “time is of the essence,” Judge Paul Malloy said that there is no time to wait for the case to make its way to the Wisconsin Supreme Court and ordered that the state pay $50 a day until it starts removing people from the voter rolls.

Malloy also ordered that the three Democrats on the commission – Ann Jacobs, Julie Glancy and Mark Thomsen – pay $250 a day each. The state Justice Department asked Malloy to stay his order of contempt pending an appeal of his ruling, but the judge denied the request."

But we will do it "after the election".
"The commission wanted to wait until after the November 2020 presidential election before it removed anyone because of inaccuracies with a previous round of data identifying voters who had potentially moved"

You gotta love this excuse
"State Democrats in Wisconsin are fighting the lawsuit, saying the purge would unfairly affect their voters"

Just "THEIR" voters? Not the Repubs either? ,,Hummmmm......

Yup, LIBS hate the idea of having to show you entitled to vote in that state.

"It is a wonder of these incendiary times that even as impeachment of a president moves to its ripest phase, trial in the Senate, the acts of sedition that prompted it still go on behind the scenes with no intervention — an epic failure of authority, if there ever was one. And further irony, if ever there was a trial that cried for witnesses, the impeachment case being brought by Mrs. Pelosi is such a hash of fraud, incompetence, and chicanery, that it begs for summary dismissal — so that these seditious caitiffs will not have to answer to the nation."

No doubt Roberta will be along smartly to tell us just how biased Jonathan Turley is and how we shouldn’t be obtaining news from unsanitized sources!

“Trump’s position is that he did not arbitrarily ask a country to investigate a possible political rival. Had Trump called for an investigation into Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-Mass.) husband, for example, without a scintilla of proof of corruption, it would be entirely indefensible. However, the Biden contract was so openly corrupt it would have made Jack Abramoff blush. Even in the United States, lobbyists and companies will often give family members undeserved lucrative jobs and contracts to curry favor with powerful politicians. Overseas, it is standard operating procedure. Oleksandr Onyshchenko, a businessman and former member of the Ukrainian parliament, said Biden was made a director “to protect (the company)” from investigation by U.S. and Ukrainian officials. Even Hunter Biden admitted that the position was given to him because of his father. Hunter Biden was paid at least $50,000 a month and possibly more.

Biden stepped down from the Burisma board only when his father announced his candidacy in April 2019. Ukraine assured Trump that it was cracking down on corruption when, just a few months earlier, Biden had been receiving monthly retainers from Burisma.

If the Biden contract was an ongoing corrupt effort to secure influence and money from the United States, Trump’s reference to it in a discussion of corruption has a possible public purpose. While one can certainly conclude that self-dealing by the president is a plausible explanation, there is no question that the testimony of Biden would be relevant.

New Frisco DA:

First, the purges: Comrade Chesa Boudin fires prosecutors for ... prosecuting

“Bottom line: Chesa has no use for such prosecutors who prosecute, and the only thing he wants prosecuted is "the system," the idea of there being laws against crimes. “

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/01/first_the_purges_comrade_chesa_boudin_fires_prosecutors_for__prosecuting_.html

“ Vyshinsky recommended that investigators and judges consider "the wider social perspective" of each individual case in the context of class struggle. As a result, an actual commission of a crime was not required for conviction: people could have been convicted for being perceived as bourgeois ("class responsibility") or simply if that was considered to be beneficial for the Communist Party, for example in the "educational" role of the judicial system (thus, the importance of show trials, even with completely false).

See, you don't even have to do something wrong to get fired by San Fran Vyshinsky -- just thinking the wrong thing will be sufficient. Which will pretty well put a chill on office cooler conversation for starters, it will also lead to a lot of cover-your-keister and records destruction as minions attempt to stay one step ahead of the ideological enforcers.

Stalin's society was all about keeping secrets, too, especially ideological secrets. San Francisco will now be the same. That must be some atmosphere they've got going in the San Francisco DA's office right now. Imagine being too afraid to express your thoughts as is no doubt the situation now with Chesa at the helm, that you refuse to say anything.

Now that word is out that prosecuting crooks and targeting gangsters is a firing offense, San Francisco is all set for a great crime wave. Apparently it takes an iron-fisted Stalin or a Chavez to create that much chaos.”

More on “criminal justice”

SMOLLETT [NON] PROSECUTOR FACES TOUGH REELECTION FIGHT
There’s good news and bad news about Kim Foxx, the Cook County state’s attorney who dropped all charges against actor Jussie Smollett after he staged a fake racist/homophobic attack against himself. The good news is that, according to the Washington Post, Foxx is facing vigorous challenges to her reelection. The bad news is that her main challenger agrees with Foxx on criminal justice policy.

Foxx is part of the wave of new ultra-leftist prosecutors who are, in effect, decriminalizing crime. In fact, she was at the vanguard of that movement, which stands for cutting criminals loose without bail, lenient sentences for “non-violent” offenders (broadly defined), non-enforcement of criminal laws deemed insufficiently woke, and making life difficult for police officers.

Thus, it’s heartening to learn that she may be in political difficulty. It’s disheartening, though, to learn that her “decriminalization of crime” policies are not under fire.

Foxx’s opponents in the Democratic primary are all over her for the Smollett case. However, they cast their critique in leftist terms — Foxx’s handling of the case demonstrates that she “caters to the rich and famous.”

Well, yes, that’s part of it — and typical of the left. But Smollett isn’t just rich and famous. He’s a “fourfer” — black, gay, Hollywood, and connected to the Obamas (through Tina Tchen, Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff).

Thus Foxx’s rivals are probably off base when they infer from her treatment of Smollett that she can’t be counted on to prosecute white-collar crime and public corruption. She can be counted on to prosecute such offenses with a vengeance if the alleged offenders fall on the wrong side of the political spectrum and/or identity politics continuum. If they fall on the right side, their chances of skating, or at leniency, will be excellent.

I strongly suspect that the same is true of the candidates who are trying to replace Foxx.

Even so, I hope one of them succeeds. Foxx’s is a scalp worth taking on general principles.

I think Bill was speaking hyperbolically when he mentioned the 125 member staff Punch (of course if you factor in Secret Servicepersonnel required for mere vacations you might get close to Bills number)! Nevertheless the Obamas certainly did like traveling on the taxpayers dime! Its hardly like the current occupant invented the practice!

You risk going "Full Roberta" Punch with these obsessions of yours……never go "Full Roberta" Punch!

"Barack and Michelle Obama and other members of their family have traveled more during his presidency than any other first couple, including extensive and costly trips to Spain, Africa, South America, and China, accompanied by staff and often by friends.

Including the Aspen trip, government records indicate that the beyond-first-class travel of the Obamas and Vice President Joe Biden have cost the American people well over $56 million."

…and of course

“No wonder we had to file a lawsuit in federal court and wait six months to get basic information on Michelle Obama’s luxury Aspen vacation,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The costs of the Obama family ski weekend are staggering. These high-priced luxury vacations, and the lack of transparency about them, are beginning to seem like an abuse of office.”

Judicial Watch previously obtained documents from the United States Air Force and the United States Secret Service detailing costs associated with Michelle Obama’s controversial August 2010 vacation to Spain. According to a Judicial Watch analysis, the records indicate a total combined cost of at least $467,585.

Judicial Watch also obtained documents detailing costs a June 21-27, 2011, trip taken by Michelle Obama, her family and her staff to South Africa and Botswana. Judicial Watch received mission expense records and passenger manifests for the Africa trip that described costs of $424,142 for the flight and crew alone. Other expenses, such as off-flight food, transportation, security, etc. were not included."

,,,Here you go Wally,,,this is regarding the Georgia state purge,,,It is getting kind of late in the election year to start purging...

"U.S. District Judge Steve Jones initially set a hearing on Fair Fight’s request for Thursday and said the purge should be placed on hold until then, but he later decided to hold a hearing Monday afternoon at the state’s request.

Lawyer Bryan Tyson, representing the secretary of state, told the judge that the window for voter maintenance is narrow because it cannot be done within 90 days before an election, which is why it’s generally done in off years. If it’s not completed by later this month — 90 days before the presidential primaries on March 24 — it can’t be done until 2021 because next year has no 90-day periods without elections, he said.

The voter maintenance program is already running and if it were stopped Monday before it has reached the end, it would have be completed manually, introducing the possibility of human error, he said.

Tyson assured the judge that if people are removed and the judge later decides they should not have been, their registrations can be reinstated within 24 to 48 hours. Once he was convinced of that, Jones said he wants to hear arguments from both sides Thursday about why the voters in question should or should not be removed rather than rushing a decision Monday.

Fair Fight says that over 120,000 people are on the purge list “solely because they have not voted or had any other statutorily-defined ‘contact’ with election officials in the past seven years and have not responded to two notices seeking confirmation of their current address.” The organization says a new law allows voters nine years of inactivity before being removed — compared to seven years under the old law — and is asking the judge to halt the removal of those voters from Georgia’s rolls."

I, as well as many others, have been puzzled by the alliance of the Left and the Islamics. Seems counter intuitive at first glance. Tossing gays off rooftops, pro-religion verses secular humanity and the like. Just can’t wrap me noggin around the concept. The following may help me understand a wee bit. But, there still remains a big difference between ‘comprehend’ and ‘apprehend’ it fully.

VENEZUELA MOURNS SOLEIMANI
“For many years, people have commented on the seemingly-incongruous alliance between radical Muslims and Communists. In fact, however, there is no mystery: both are hostile to the values of advanced Western civilization and yearn for tyrannies that are not, in practice, particularly different from one another. Thus, while millions of Iranians are celebrating the demise of terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani, we shouldn’t be surprised that Venezuela’s Maduro regime is officially mourning him.

The Venezuelan government offered condolences to the people of Iran for the assassination of Iran’s top general by a US airstrike in Baghdad and praised Iran’s resistance with this poster.
From left to right, the poster pictures Hugo Chavez, Simon Bolivar, Soleimani, Che Guevara and Fidel Castro:

https://i2.wp.com/www.powerlineblog.com/ed-assets/2020/01/13981023134157186_PhotoL.jpg?

The translation is: “Faces, times and countries change, but the goal is the same.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

One is struck by the fact that American liberals, like Venezuelan Communists, venerate or at least respect Fidel Castro, Che Guevara and Hugo Chavez. (We can leave Bolivar out of it for now.) One of these days, will “woke” American students walk around with pictures of Soleimani on their t-shirts? I wouldn’t rule it out. Guevara was just as bigoted and homicidal, if nowhere near as effective, as Soleimani.”

“Unhinged Alec Baldwin: Trump Voters Caused the ‘Colossal Destruction’ of America”

“It’s conservative Trump supporters who wield the prejudice in all this. He claimed, “It is Trump voters, particularly those who would re-elect him who bear the blame. For the undeniable and colossal destruction of everything that matters to us as Americans that cannot be merely monetized.”

Of course, it’s funny to see Alec act as a moral authority with insane ramblings such as these. It’s also even funnier to imagine that the man with a record for beating up paparazzi, a penchant for calling people “f*gg*t,” and who’s acquired a reputation for physical fights over parking spaces, can blame Trump supporters for America’s moral decline.“

Kyle Jurek, Iowa Field Organizer, Sanders Campaign: “I’m Ready to Throw Down Now…The Billionaire Class. The F***ing Media, Pundits. Walk into MSNBC Studios, Drag Those M*****F***ers Out by Their Hair and Light Them on Fire in the Streets.

Kyle Jurek Suggests That Liberal Democrats Should be Placed in Gulags or be Put to Death: “Liberals Get the F***ing Wall First.”

Jurek: “Well, I’ll Tell You What in Cuba, What did They do to Reactionaries? You Want to Fight Against the Revolution, You’re Going to Die for it, M*****F***er.”

Jurek Affirms That “Free Speech Has Repercussions…There Are Consequences for Your F***ing Actions…You Should Expect a Violent Reaction. And You Deserve a Violent Reaction.”

Jurek Lambasts Elizabeth Warren, Suggests That Warren Does Not Deserve Support Solely Due to Being a Woman.

Jurek: “Like F**k if We Can Beat Donald Trump, as Long as We Nominated a Woman. Like F***ing Idiot. Like What the F**k? The World is on Fire. This is an Emergency Situation, and You’re Hung Up on Vaginas.”

Pocahontas is not one of “us”.

“Sanders’s backers are then supposed to say that “people who support [Warren] are highly-educated, more affluent people who are going to show up and vote Democratic no matter what” and that “she’s bringing no new bases into the Democratic Party.”

This is brilliant. Sanders attacks Warren in populist terms as the candidate of “highly-educated, more affluent people” but in the guise of a raising a pragmatic concern about her ability to expand the Democratic base. The takeaway of most who hear this script would be that Warren is an elitist, who is not “one of us.” It wouldn’t be that Warren can’t expand the party’s appeal.

John Bolton: the Lefties’ Hail Mary. Hopey for Changey, and yes we can!

John Bolton’s Testimony Would Not Be The Smoking Gun Democrats Need

“You have to give credit to congressional Democrats for one thing: They are an extremely hopeful bunch. After years of Russia investigations aimed at toppling Donald Trump, they came away with what Grandmother would have called “bupkis.” But, not daunted, they quickly latched onto a whistleblower report about a phone call with Ukraine, and launched an up tempo effort, one last-ditch attempt to take the president down.

The result of this exertion did include a vote to impeach Trump, but did not attract a single GOP vote. This is also almost certain to the result in the senate trial as well. But wait! Now former National Security Adviser John Bolton has agreed to testify if called, and the Democrats are racing toward Lucy again, confident this time she won’t move the football.“.........

The best plausible testimony Democrats can hope for is that Bolton reveals he expressed opposition, but so did a half dozen people who already testified, and just like them, nobody elected John Bolton to be president. The problem for Democrats has always been here that they cannot prove that Trump’s intent was not to ensure the country didn’t throw good money after bad.....

But, hope springs eternal in the Trump addled minds of the Democrats, maybe just maybe, they think, if they keep this sham process going on long enough something good might happen. They are like addicts at a slot machine convinced they have pulled the lever so many times that they must be due. One thing seems certain. John Bolton is not going to be their jackpot. In fact, they will at this point, almost certainly leave the casino known empty-handed.

Gulags are good for you to get your mind right.

Indulge me while I quote again the late Pat Caddell in 1992.

“Caddell saw that Perot’s success was not a unique situation but rather a sign of permanent social discontent now reshaping the traditional political system. He said that David Duke and Vermont’s Bernie Sanders — one the head of the KKK and the other a Jewish socialist, both with rising profiles in national politics — were “supping out of the same pot.”

Now that the hatchet is buried...how about some quotes. Hey, Dan B made the honor roll today.

Insight: “Individual rights are the means of subordinating society to moral law.” —Ayn Rand (1905-1982)

For the record: “On December 6, Second Lt. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, a member of the Royal Saudi Air Force, entered a building on the grounds of Pensacola Naval Air Station and killed three U.S. sailors and severely wounded eight other Americans. He was killed during the attack. This was an act of terrorism. The evidence shows that the shooter was motivated by jihadist ideology.” —Attorney General William Barr

Upright: “During the Obama administration, the faster wage gains were among the top 10% of earners. We’ve flipped that now. The fastest wage gains are among the bottom 10%. And when you look at number of different measures of how the economy is doing, it’s some people who had less opportunity historically who are some of the really big beneficiaries right now.” —Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia

The bottom line: “The imminent threat was Soleimani having a pulse.” —Dan Bongino

Game, set, match: “I’m glad [House Speaker Nancy Pelosi] finally realized she never had any leverage in the first place to dictate Senate procedure to senators and is giving in to bipartisan pressure to move forward.” —Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Pelosi’s delay with articles of impeachment

Non compos mentis: “There is no better candidate than Cory Booker. There is no better man than Cory Booker. He will continue to do great things. He just doesn’t know any other way. He leads with love. He leads by service. I am always inspired by him.” —Alyssa Milano

Grand delusions: “People are afraid of not just what he can do, but what he’s doing to people, what he’s bringing out in people, the kind of people he’s surfacing in the United States. You have swatting happening and Nazis walking around. It is a scary time. And you look at the polling on what Donald Trump has just done, and rather than make people feel more confident, it’s made people more anxious.” —MSNBC’s Joy Reid

And last… “Bernie Sanders once called for a 100% tax on anyone earning ‘more money than they can spend in a lifetime.’ He defined that as $1,000,000. Despite never working a real job in his life, Bernie Sanders’ net worth today: Over $2,000,000. I wonder if he still supports that tax.” —Charlie Kirk

“Sanders’s backers are then supposed to say that “people who support [Warren] are highly-educated, more affluent people who are going to show up and vote Democratic no matter what” and that “she’s bringing no new bases into the Democratic Party.”"

A fairly obvious takeaway is that this is all about the black vote. The hivemind there, as I remember, likes Biden, ambivalent towards Sanders, not big on Warren. Warren, of course, is a pure play in post-Protestant America, and represents the part of the new elite that no one likes.

Truth is, all of these people would say anything to get elected, and it's the mafia behind them that really matters. Seriously, the GULAG won't be that bad.

Pete-er Out? Buttigieg Faces Falling Poll Numbers, Protests Ahead Of Iowa Caucus

“Over the weekend, Buttigieg was dogged by Black Lives Matter, who disrupted one of his major events, shouting “anti-black, anti-poor,” as Buttigieg tried to speak at a rally.....

This is the second such disruption. Black Lives Matter derailed a Buttigieg campaign event in California late last week, upending the candidate’s visit to a homeless shelter in the notoriously crime-ridden Los Angeles neighborhood, Watts, per the Los Angeles Times......

This weekend’s protesters say they were bankrolled by an “outside organization,” which indicates Buttigieg is now a target, probably of his more progressive opponents, including Sanders (or at least Sanders’ supporters). If he doesn’t respond adequately, that could mean a deeper hole going into the Iowa caucus, which takes place on February 2nd.“
