Hillary Clinton…….oh Roberta…….why, why, why?????

Just as fair as the basement prosecutions
Cross Bobby. Did the Trump defence get to call any witnesses? Shiffy and Naddless called all they liked.
Now don't forget that any witnesses called by the defence had to be approved... Now how many were?
Yup,,real "fair".
Now ask Emily for some of his memory meds.

Oh BoobieC, the trial was totally fair it was you buffoons in the House that sent a flawed impeachment to the Senate. You libs sure are unfit for governance. Can't even count your own votes.

800 years of due process rights were ignored by the railroading by the House... Bobbi Cross, there's nothing fair about the fair trial you dreamed of.

Checking, make that 805 years.

Robert Cross

Hundreds of constitutional scholars, none of which are you and most of you barely got out of high school, stated just the opposite as in cover-up, sham, kangaroo court, etc. How can you have a trial without evidence and testimony. You seem to not understand how it works, probably because you opted for woodshop instead of civics. The House is like a grand jury. They discover evidence and if that evidence is sufficient they file an indictment which is what the impeachment document is. THEN THERE IS A TRIAL WITH WITNESSES AND EVIDENCE. Your understanding of the process has been dictated to you by the trumplicans and you believe every word of it without question because you don't want to believe that you have been conned by the trumpster... In a trial with witnesses the trumpler team could have called witnesses but they chose instead to ramrod it through in order to prevent more damaging information from coming out, which would have surely turned into another Watergate.. Drink some more trump-aide boys as you flounder to come up with more lame excuses. Those of you who can actually read ought to read '1984' because you are living it.

Read it a long time ago, dude.
Maybe if you could wipe all the saliva off your bib and all over whatever you were standing next to you when you came out with that bit of hysteria, you might point out what part of '1984' bears a resemblance to what your President has done.
I believe China is much, much closer to '1984' and it's the Dems that cozy up to that bunch.

re 412pm - Here I wonder who skipped civics class. The Senate trial of an impeachment indictment by the House is NOT a trial anything like a criminal or civil trial. Professor Dershowitz attempted to make the clear to those who would listen. The Senators are not jurors but impaneled judges listening to the House present it ("overwhelming") evidence to support the 'guilty' judgement they seek the judges to render.

Bill Tozer

Did another head just pop? Darn, I miss all the live action stuff. Live popping is best.

Oh, Bobbie Sue, the Constitution remains silent on how the Senate runs the trial. They can run it anyone they choose, including who gets to call witnesses. Still hanging on to that witness thing, eh? Remember you don’t need no crime or nuthin. Wasn’t it not YOU telling us that it isn’t a court of law...or was that the entire gang of Leftinistas lead by Schiffilis while we were complaining how the House was running things unfairly? One sided story only?

Well, you are right. It ain’t a court of law; it’s a political court. Make rules up as they go along and the full Senate did vote as a majority to not call witnesses. It’s how the Senate chooses to run things in a political venue. Simple majority. Simple majority passed the impeachment articles to another political venue. Calm down. Got 67 votes? Nobody, but nobody thought there would ever be a conviction. You act like you actually believed that noise, lol.

Remember, our Great White Founding Fathers in Washington, in their wisdom and deep knowledge of human passions, made it difficult for President to be convicted. Very high bar on purpose. Not a mistake. Designed that way.

So, you are certain that Bolton would change a bunch of minds? A boatload? You are THAT sure? The smoking gun proof is right there inside John Bolton and you found it!!! Now, if only you had a key to unlock the secrets found within. Tick-tock. Tomorrow is just a day away, bed wetter. You are the type that appears to give himself his own Golden Shower.

Pop! That sounded like it was coming from them thar hills.

Trump cleaned the left's clock tonight. He has totally outsmarted them. He claimed many of their issues! He will solve them with freedom not regulations.

Bill Tozer

Whoa. Wow. Trump unfiltered, taking straight to whoever is listening. Shut it off the second it ended, shut off the 6 second delay on the Fox. Don’t need no commentary to tell me what I heard. For fun, on the Fox delay with volume off, I made a list of when Nancy stood up.

-the Venezuelan US recognized leader
-the Tuskegee Airman
- rural wi-fi
-the family deployment reunion

Then she done tore the manuscript in half (wasn’t easy) and threw it on the desk in full view. Roflmao. Not even sure if she did tear all of it half. She could not wait to get out of there. It was agony for her to sit and take it.

I did shed a few tears when Rush got the highest honor. A trailblazer. Changed and re-ignited talk radio and brought it back, when it’s popularity was slipping and drying up.

Trump put it out there. His vision. His vision for America and how to get there.

Highlights. the education part, Southern Border part, and the inalienable rights, more than one.

It’s been a very bad day and long for our friends on the gloomy side of the street..and the night is still young. Angry lot they be, getting cranky. They need some good ole chocolate milk and a nappy-pooh.

Horrible day for them. First they woke up to the #IowaDisaster this morning bright and early and Trump comes along and offers them some rubber biscuits to ruin their evening. We are sure to pay for this. Oh my.

Is it wrong of me to want President Trump to turn around and hand Pelosi a "Nancy Pelosi Sucks" ink pen?

Bill Tozet

Talk about a baddd day. A disaster on so many levels and the 1st cup of coffee ain't down the hatch yet. Good morning! Never too late to start the day over.

Montage of Good Morning America, how y'all doing? Want me to send over a limo? Let us know if there's anything we can do.

Random news o' the day.

"SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to pause physical education tests for students for three years due to concerns over bullying and the test discriminating against disabled and non-binary students. The move also comes after annual test results show a growing percentage of students scoring not healthy."

George Rebane

re scenes 858am - that seems to have become the overarching meta-policy of the progressive brave new world. If there are merit-based tests that don't support the established politically correct narrative du jour, you simply do away with them so that you don't have to deal with those pesky metrics they reveal. If you've wound up making generations of dumb kids who no longer qualify for college admissions, then do away with those telltale tests let them go to college. Now the same is happening with having promoted the arrival of overweight and out-of-shape hordes of youngsters (some of whom don't even know which gender they are) - no problem, just eliminate physical fitness testing. Onward!

For the record: “Trump stands accused, in essence, of making substantive U.S. foreign policy decisions based on his desire to be reelected president. No president has ever been impeached for this.” —Paul Mirengoff

Pretty much: “I felt that the House managers really took our Constitution, threw it on the ground, drove a bus over it, then for good measure backed up over it again.” —Sen. Joni Ernst

Nailed it: “We saw Nancy Pelosi ripping up a speech just like Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi and others have been trying to rip apart America for the last three years.” —Rep. Mark Meadows

Pretty dumb, ain’t it? “The same Democrats who want to take over everyone’s healthcare and micromanage the entire economy couldn’t even organize their own traditional Iowa caucuses?” —Mitch McConnell

Friendly fire: “The Democrats can’t even get a three-car funeral organized or whatever you want to call it.” —MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on the Iowa debacle

Race bait: “The Iowa caucus is essentially the perfect example of systemic racism. Ninety-one percent of the voters in Iowa are white. The reason why you see a drop in turnout, I’m just speculating here, it could be perhaps that white children are not in the cages. So when you’re talking about the tangible pain that black and brown people are feeling, they feel a sense of urgency because their kids are being put in cages, right? So if you have 91% white electorate, that sense of urgency may not be reflected in the turnout numbers. I’m not saying that’s the reason for this. It could be a factor.” —MSNBC’s Zerlina Maxwell

Braying jenny: “The manifesto of mistruths presented in page after page of the address tonight should be a call to action for everyone who expects truth from the President and policies worthy of his office and the American people. The American people expect and deserve a President to have integrity and respect for the aspirations for their children.” —Nancy Pelosi in a statement following the State of the Union, which she tore in half at its conclusion

Braying jackass: “This was a state of the base speech, not a state of the union speech. The state of the Trump base is strong. The state of the union is deeply divided.” —CNN’s Jim Acosta

And last… “It really is remarkable how many reporters, not just pundits, have been praising Pelosi for several months as a strategic genius and the only thing she’s done is gotten the President’s approval rating to a record high.” —Erick Erickson

A reasonable description of Mitt Cucksworth!

Mitt Romney is a not a conservative, "severe" or otherwise. He's a Business Class Liberal. Always has been. Yes, he's very "conservative" on issues like "should the working class always have their wages reduced by constant remorseless labor arbitrage and relocating factories to China," and "conservative' on the question "should companies be allowed to take a business expense deduction on their taxes for the costs of moving factories to China," but on everything else -- including, especially, Obamacare, which he fathered -- he's a liberal.

Always has been.

And he's coward who can't even stand up to Candy Crowley. Just blinked at her stupidly.

Would not take the fight to Barack Obama.

Oh, but now this soy-based bitch has some fight in him, huh?

Interesting news on the urban outdoorsmen. Besides fire that's probably the biggest danger to the area. I expect that the local governments have pro-homeless elected officials lashed to pro-law and order law enforcement, but don't have any inside knowledge. The bigger conflict will always be between a large mass of disgruntled citizens vs. very vocal organized groups looking out for the campers.

If tree work uncovers encampments you are killing two birds with one stone. Serious brush removal can't help but improve things generally.

An interesting site:

All the talk about how global warmingcooling has cranked up fire danger, especially Trump's role in destroying the environment in the last couple of years after centuries of good stewardship, made me wonder what the real problems might be.

Check it out for any area you are interested in. The amount of additional foilage, especially in and around the towns, can be remarkable. The late 1960's appears to be the dividing line for the places I've looked. Something different has happened since then.

Bill Tozer

Israel-Palestine talk. Time to accept reality.

‘Democrats, Experts, and Peace Plans’

“Heterodox approaches are automatically dismissed as "right wing" fantasies or, worse, manipulations. Within this position is the belief that only certified experts can solve problems while others are de facto buffoons: witness the insults leveled at the plan's developer, Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, by the media and its allied wing of late night comedians. But the bizarre corollary is the Democratic Party's unshakeable faith in failed experts and their unsuccessful plans. Long-time diplomat Martin Indyk, for example, described the plan as "a farce from start to finish"—and his viewpoint is touted by Democrats as authoritative, despite his being another veteran of fruitless negotiations in both Democratic and Republican administrations. Failure has become the highest qualification for expert commentary and future diplomacy.

The American media echo chamber, which simply parrots talking points fed to it by the foreign policy blob, has created a closed cycle of received wisdom, authority, and interpretation. The New York Times, for example, described the plan as a cynical election ploy by two corrupt leaders responding to right wing religious constituents that "hardly seems to hold out any real hope for meaningful Palestinian sovereignty or real improvement in their people's condition."

BillT: from yer link...

"Palestinians have become accustomed to being instruments of someone else's mobilization, first in the Arab and Islamic worlds, in past decades in Europe, and now in the US. In the latter cases Palestinians are a left-wing electoral cause to mobilize socialist, Muslim, and intersectional minorities. The actual facts of the geopolitical situation, and of Palestinian society and culture, matter little."

hah. Ain't that the truth.

Bill Tozer

Scenes @ 10:29 pm——hah. Ain't that the truth

Indeed. When I read that, I thought of a conversation Trump is rumored to say to the Joint Chiefs of staff or his top generals and his foreign policy advisors. To paraphrase, Trump asked why we are doing it this way? The wise advisors said because that’s the way we have done it for 17 years. Trump replied, “Did it ever occur to you that you may have been going it wrong for 17 years?
Ok, back to the now. Chop, chop, everybody, we got work to do. Time is a’wasting. Break over.

re: No Malarkey Express

I'm rather liking the idea of giving Biden the Nobel Peace Prize. He was, after all, the helper-in-chief when Obama received it for scads of good deeds. That should put everyone's favorite Creepy Uncle over the top.

A funny thing to me is that the man who I think deserves it the most is the least likely to ever get that prize. When Putin rode in the Russian surfboard to the shore they're at now, we all dodged a world-ending bullet. A remarkable thing really, given the opportunities for bonafide mayhem.

“Democracy is not a spectator sport — it requires the active participation of all its citizens,” the bill’s author, Assemblyman Marc Levine, D-San Rafael, said in a written statement. “California is a national leader on expanding voting rights to its citizens. Those rights come with a responsibility by registered voters to cast their ballot and make sure that their voice is heard by their government.”

Yep…..when I think "democracy" I think that which isn't forbidden must be compulsory!

I heard a right-wing conspiracist say Romney is mad at the Republicans because they voted for him. Another said Mitt has always been a business class liberal. Think Massachusetts and his plan that Obamacare was modeled after.

I don’t need to bash Romney. Just a distraction from the task at hand. Just like Nancy spitting in the pudding to distract from awe inspiring optimistic speech Tuesday. That Trump is a great Executive Producer.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Nine in 10 Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in their personal life, a new high in Gallup's four-decade trend. The latest figure bests the previous high of 88% recorded in 2003.

When the jobs report hits, it’s going to blow the lid so high that even the MSM won’t be able ignore it. A rather vicious ‘lay them out’ 1-2-3 combo by our President. Forecast 187,000 jobs for Dec,, it may come in at 345 or 360,000.

I just don’t how much more of a beating the Dems can take. Monday was the Iowa Dumpster Fire kickoff to taking back the WH, Tues was SOTUS, Wed was Acquittal Day, and now the sky rocket display over the jobs report. Oh my. How much more can they take? They aren’t human!

How about some Daily Quotes

No kidding: “I wish Romney fought as hard for voters in 2012 as he does against the Trump administration.” —Dana Loesch

Just saying: “I wasn’t sure if [Nancy Pelosi] was ripping up the speech or ripping up the Constitution.” —Mike Pence

Friendly fire: “A warning to Democrats — what [President Trump] was saying to African-Americans can be effective. You may not like it, but he mentioned HBCUs [historically black colleges and universities]. Our black colleges have been struggling for a long time — a bunch of them have gone under. He threw a lifeline to them, in real life, in his budget. He talked about that. He talked about the criminal justice reform. He talked about opportunity zones. He talked about school choice. … We got to wake up, folks. … We say, ‘Well, he said "s-hole nations,” therefore all black people gonna hate him forever.’ That ain’t necessarily so.“ —Van Jones

A stopped clock is right twice a day: "Those were some really poignant moments. I don’t know if you saw them, but you should go online and look. The president in that speech [Tuesday night] celebrated what the country is about from one set of moments, our diversity, how we overcome, how we come together.” —CNN’s Chris Cuomo

Snowflake: “Even the mention of Brett Kavanaugh for me is a trigger. Just as a woman in America, the fact that he, you know, rightfully was accused, and having an incredibly strong woman come before the public and the world and tell her story of sexual assault by this person that was appointed to the Supreme Court is just — I couldn’t stand still and not do anything about it, and I needed to walk away from that.” —Rep. Rashida Tlaib on why she stormed out of the SOTU

Hot air: “In the year 2020, how can a president of the United States give a State of the Union speech and not mention climate change?” —Sen. Bernie Sanders

No way to spin it: “I’m not going to sugarcoat it. We took a gut punch in Iowa. The whole process took a gut punch. But look, this isn’t the first time in my life I’ve been knocked down.” —Joe Biden on his fourth-place finish

Spare us the dialogue: “As the president’s impeachment trial began, Republican senators pledged an oath to defend the Constitution. Today, 52 of them voted to betray that oath — and all of us. We’re entering dangerous territory for our democracy. It’ll take all of us working together to restore it.” —Hillary Clinton

“Democrats think President Donald Trump committed a high crime or misdemeanor the moment he defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. That is the original sin of this presidency — that he won, and they lost.” —Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

And last,,,,,”Go Moscow Mitch with that cat-ate-the-canary grin, you cocaine snorting man. Got the package, I see. It’s from the boys, wink wink, secret hand signal. Putin sends his love.”—Biggums.

The Dem exspurts have got campaign finance law wrong, high crimes and other misdemeanors wrong, obstruction wrong, Emoluments Clause wrong, the Logan Act wrong, War Powers Act wrong.

Ain’t my job to school them.. You can’t talk to a man with a shotgun in his hand. Having TDS means never ever admitting you were wrong.

Friendly fire II: “We’re a party in chaos.” —Rep. Marcia Fudge

Pot calling the kettle black: “[Trump] looked to me like he was a little bit sedated.” —House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Braying jenny: “I tore up a manifesto of mistruths. … It was necessary to get the attention of the American people, to say this is not true. … And I don’t need any lessons from anybody, especially the president of the United States, about dignity.” —Nancy Pelosi

Grand delusions I: “There’s a giant asterisk next to the president’s acquittal.” —Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer

Grand delusions II: “He wasn’t acquitted. It was a rigged trial. You don’t get acquitted when you don’t even get to call witnesses or relevant witnesses or have the documents because the president stonewalled all efforts on the part of the House to get the information they requested. So there you go. It was a rigged trial. He can run around saying he was acquitted, but you don’t get acquitted in a rigged trial.” —Sen. Mazie Hirono

But we live in a country where it is extremely important that no one person have to be subjected to some other person’s interpretation of their own religion.” —Pete Buttigieg

The BIG Lie: “Today’s structures of sin include repeated tax cuts for the richest people, often justified in the name of investment and development.” —Pope Francis

I love the internetz!

Nancy went down to Georgia
Shee was lookin' for a seat to steal
She was in a bind
'Cause she was way behind
And she was willin' to make a deal
When she came upon this young man
Sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot
And the devil jumped
Up on a hickory stump
And said, "boy, let me tell you what
I guess you didn't know it
But I'm a player too
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you
Now you play pretty good politics, boy
But give the devil her due
I'll bet the House and Senate
Against your soul
'Cause I think I'm better than you

The boy said, "my name's Donny
And it might be a sin
But I'll take your bet
And you're gonna regret
'Cause I'm the best there's ever been"
Donny, rosin up your bow and play the middle (class) hard
'Cause hell's broke loose in Georgia, and the devil deals the cards
And if you win, you get this shiny government and all the gold
But if you lose, the devil gets your soul
The devil opened up her case
And she said, "I'll start this show"
And fire flew from her fingertips
As she rosined up her bow
Then she pulled the bow across the strings
And it made an evil hiss
And a band of Nadlers and Schiffs joined in
And it sounded something like this

When the devil finished
Johnny said, "well, you're pretty good, old gal
But sit down in that chair right there
And let me show you how it's done pal"
He played Fire on the Mountain run boys, run
Democrat forest management never did get done
The devil's in the White House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in a bread pan pickin' out dough
Granny, does your Schiff bite? Yo child, yo
The devil bowed her head
Because she knew that she'd been beat
And she laid that golden fiddle
On the ground at Donny's feet
Donny said, "Devil, just come on back
If you ever want to try again
I done told you once you useless old bitch
I'm your President!

lmfao. This is a beautiful thing.

"Noting Joe is off today, reporter Mike Pache added, “His wife is campaigning at a home with about 10 people in New Hampshire.”

Despite the intimate audience, Biden used a podium in the poorly lit room:
It was a similar scene when Jill was making a last minute appeal in Iowa.

The First Lady wannabe played to a handful of voters at the Blazing Saddle in Des Moines on Wednesday:
She claimed Trump will “brag” about “packing the courts with judges” as the door behind her opened and locals arrived for a drink.

“He’ll mock and deride people who believe in equality,” she read from her speech.

“This is my first time at a gay bar!” she exclaimed at the beginning of her appearance."

Sondland gets fired after donating ONE MILLION DOLLARS to the Orange Rind's coffers!!!

“I was advised today that the president intends to recall me effective immediately as United States Ambassador to the European Union,” Mr. Sondland said in a statement just hours after Colonel Vindman’s dismissal. He expressed gratitude to Mr. Trump “for having given me the opportunity to serve.”

,,,I think Sondland meant the '''opportunity''' to serve Trump up to the Impeachment committee!!! BWAHAHA

Sure Dougy, that was a smart move. Justice came swift.
The removal of every Jewdus has begun.
Enjoy all your LOSING!!🤣

Actions have reactions troll and the house is in play -

Its a fact that if you fail to kill the king there will be a price. Drain that swamp -
The deeper anxiety among many career national security officials is that Trump, feeling vindicated by the Senate’s acquittal, will act on long-harbored suspicions that bureaucrats at the State Department and the NSC are out to undermine his agenda.

Unburdened by impeachment, they fear that Trump could unleash his anger at the foreign policy establishment he’s long equated with what some of his advisers and supporters call the “Deep State.”

Walt. Do you any more of that Dr. J D Trump cream, formula #45? I passed the last of it out as stocking stuffers to my liberal friends and they are clamoring for more. They said it was the only thing they found that actually worked for their severe discomfort and I am all out and can’t get anymore. I called the distributor and they were backlogged. I called the manufacturer and they are running two months behind due to demand and can’t keep up with the orders despite adding a swing shift. I was hoping you had some for my tortured liberal friends who are in dire straights. Hate to see grown folks cry and carry on. I guess sleeping with a pillow under the sore spot is makes them grumpy as all get out and messes with their nappy-poohs and martial bliss.

Let me know if you got any to spare. I hate to see my fellow man suffer so.

Sorry Bill, I sold the last case this morning.
OH the profit I made on Ebay.

It's a helluva world where the State Department can't run it's own foreign policy and the national police can't help choose the President.

The Lesson of Trump. Perhaps it never mattered who got elected in previous years. They were largely puppets. Laughably, so called 'progressives' just turned out to be tools to be used to further the interests of The State.

It's an amazing timeline to be living in. The china shop needs a bit of remodeling.

Thanks Walt. Maybe I can find some on Craig’s List. I am a bit leery of Craig’s List after horror stories about folks driving to some address down the hill on a dead end and are robbed....and the address is a vacant house.

I dunno what else to do for my suffering lefty friends in agony. A case of Dr. D J Trump is worth more than it’s weight in gold right now. I will check E-Bay. I just didn’t think of going there. You ain’t no dummie, for sure.

“It's an amazing timeline to be living in. The china shop needs a bit of remodeling.”

Remodeling? More like rebuild. That was no bull in the china shop. That was a wrecking ball coming through the walls of the shop.

Conspiracy rumors:

What if I were to tell ya that the Hunter Biden story is not about his seat on Burisma per se, but more about money laundering of US tax payer dollars to fund our covert operations and fighting (US) against the Russians in Ukraine? Kind of like arms for the Contras, but without paying for itself. Big money laundering?

What went down in that embassy in Kiev??? Did notice that former Ambassador to the Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch retired from government service two days or so ago...about the time of the ‘acquitted forever.’

re: BillT@11:02PM Not that I have a deep understanding of the situation, but it's funny how underreported the real Ukraine story appears to be. It looks like a giant cascade of unintended consequences. As in any country, the US main stream media will parrot the party line. As we've seen, the party and the media appear to be two heads of the same Hydra.

Obama appears to have been seduced by the CIA's foreign policy (who can blame him? I'll bet it's a lot of fun sitting in a meeting room and pushing buttons), but messing around on the borders of the ex-Soviet Union in so many ways is fraught with bad possibilities. The side effects, besides simply tearing apart countries in a modern Great Game, can range from obvious (annexation of Crimea directly after the US-backed overthrow of Yanukovych) to thousand of smaller unknown events.

The folks that run matters have always had their own Dunning-Kruger of diplomacy and war. Things don't always turn out like ya planned.

Scenes @ 8:22 am

Keep an eye on Chuck Grassley. Friday he was presented with a bunch of documents from non-government sources, unrelated to his request for documents.

Timing is everything! Not what I was referring to.....but rather hot off the press.

Here’s What’s Happening In Republicans’ Biden–Ukraine Investigation

In other news, Queen Nan and Mitt Romney have something in common. Both have sons who enriched themselves in Ukraine.

Random site o' the day:

re: Mitt Romney, part of a meme I saw today:
This is Mitt
2012 Begged for Trump's support
2016 Tried to screw Trump over
2018 Begged for Trump's support
2020 Tried to screw Trump over

He is something of a piece of work.
