...."language of the oppressor"?

What a Greek Fishermans Cap wearing putz.

"Did you miss the part about “too drunk to drive“? The anti-drunk-driving campaign is now decades old, and officer discretion has been reduced in many different areas. A Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) over 0.08 is now evidence of Driving Under the Influence, requiring arrest of the driver and impoundment of the car. It is standard procedure in many places to handcuff arrested persons for their own safety and officer safety.

These and other laws were enacted at the impassioned urgings of liberals just like you. Now you don’t like them, you’d rather let drunks just go driving home? Suppose the police let him go and in his intoxicated condition he ran into someone else and killed them, wouldn’t the police be partly liable for that death? Do you see where your emotions lead you?

Rather shocking for a liberal to be so blase’ about turning a drunk loose with car keys."

Atlanta shooting. *IF* MaryW's 1109am is correct, then it's not an open/shut case for the cops. My own LE training was through the Army Military Police course abbreviated for combat arms officers who subsequently had to pull Officer of the Guard duty. My regular tours as OG of a kaserne (about once every 3 wks) in Germany included being the 24hr sheriff of a community of 3,000 Americans (active duty and dependents) with authority over Americans in the neighboring town where GIs went to do some additional I&I. I lost count of the altercations - both family feuds and saloons - I had to handle as the OG, it was all part of the drill when stationed overseas. My standing orders allowed me to use deadly force only when the loss of life was "imminent", and that always meant I had to let the perp make the first unambigously telling move. But hey, that's why we were paid the big bucks - $218/mo. So, it sure looks like the Atlanta shooting could have been brought down to a soft landing by some more deft instead of daft police work. Just saying.

Bill Tozer

CORONAVIRUS HYSTERIA IS OVER.....unless it involves a Trump rally.

“The disease isn’t over, but the hysteria is. For many, the turning point came when public health “experts” who had bitterly denounced demonstrations against shutdowns as health hazards, responded to the Black Lives Matter riots with silence and, often, enthusiastic endorsement. That lasted until President Trump announced his intention to resume holding rallies. Once again, we are told that public gatherings are a vitally important health threat. It isn’t hard to understand the game that is being played here.“

Scott O

George 12:17 - "So, it sure looks like the Atlanta shooting could have been brought down to a soft landing by some more deft instead of daft police work. Just saying."
You could well be correct, but it seems that some folk don't want to wait for an accurate assessment - they just start rioting, looting and burning.
The blacks don't care when the police murder white folk - so they shouldn't expect much more than a shoulder shrug now. If the left and the blacks want to do something about ALL police misconduct, and do it peacefully, we can improve our nation.
As it is - there are going to be way too many people on both sides that simply won't care about the appropriateness (or not) of the officers' actions.

Bill Tozer

Well, the Atlanta shooting looks like the perfect case to be decided in court. Differing accounts, witnesses, video footage (some only partial, incomplete) and of course, due process where the rights of the accused are the charge of the court. Yes, it is beholden upon a judge to protect the defendant’s rights.

If nothing else, the Atlanta shooting was a great excuse to burn down the Wendy’s, torch surrounding vehicles, block of the Interstate, and get the police chief to resign. Not much to burn in that area anyways. Industrial area. Always a silver lining.

Paul Emery

Scott writes:

"The blacks don't care when the police murder white folk"

Not true Scott. Go 2:20 minutes into this video and watch the reaction of a black woman after police watched a white man 24-year-old Johnny Baldwin of Warrenville, Illinois drown after a police chase. Watch the entire video and explain to me why these officers have yet to be charged or even disciplined.

Ukraine Anti-Corruption Bureau Seizes $6M Bribe

“Ukrainian officials recently revealed they were offered a $6 million bribe to end an investigation into the former minister of ecology and founder of a major energy company.

Ukraine’s anti-corruption prosecutor held a news conference on Saturday, where the cash bribe on was put on display. The criminal investigation was against the head of Burisma, who is suspected of using his position to enrich his gas company.”

Bill Tozer

I think I will wait 48-72 hours to jump in on the Atlanta shooting. I do know that many times in our local police blotter are tales of someone passed out in the drive thru and the subject is arrested, without incident. Wrestling with cops never mentioned. Odd. Probably too loaded to resist. Too drunk to screw, so to speak. Dope is a different story.

“I will leave it to experts in the use of force to debate whether this shooting was justified, but it certainly wasn’t unjustified in any normal sense. It is outrageous that the officer was immediately fired and Atlanta’s Chief of Police has resigned. It will be impossible to maintain an acceptable level of public order if miscreants like Rayshard Brooks are lionized and those who have to deal with them are demonized.”

@11:409 Hey Mary...I know facts are "moot" with your ilk More than 1,000 people in the U.S. have died after police stunned them with Tasers, and the stun gun was ruled to be a cause or contributing factor in 153 of those deaths, a Reuters examination found. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-axon-taser-toll-idUSKCN1B21AH

Scott O

Paul 1:48 - Oh wow, Paul!
The 'reaction' of a black woman!!!!
Sorry - that doesn't even come close to what I'm talking about.
Where is the massive outrage and looting and burning and rioting? Where is the NAACP? Where is the Black Caucus?
Because it was a white guy.
Collective shrug.
As far as why the cops weren't charged - how the hell should I know? Aren't you supposed to be the newsman?
It would really help if you maybe posted a link to whatever video you want me to watch.
I've been against police mistreatment of citizens and the police unions covering for bad cops for decades. I was against no-knock warrants ever since I had first heard of them. But it seems we're only supposed to get our undies in a bunch when the perp is a black. I do support the police and have found most allegations of police mistreatment of citizens to be bogus. There is absolutely no valid reason for the people to be rioting and demonstrating after these last 2 police fatal shootings. There is zero evidence that the authorities are ignoring or sweeping the matters under the rug.

Scott O

Mary Waaaah! 2:18 - Fox pulled the photo and apologized. You kinda sorta (always) forget to tell the whole story. The lefty news media has a far, far worse record of spreading false and malicious stories about people they don't like. They also refuse to cover a lot of stories that would embarrass the left or the Dems.
Strange you never complain about that.

Scott O

BT 2:02 - After reading the account from the WaPo, it looks like the cop had a right to shoot the guy. How was the cop supposed to know whether or not the guy was pointing a stun gun at him or a gun he had on his person all along?
Still reserving judgement pending a full and complete investigation.
And hey - the C.O.P. was a woman?
I could have sworn that having a woman run things would make everything all hunky-dory according to the left.

Correction to my 3:46 - "after these last 2 police fatal shootings."
Should be - "after the last police shooting in Atlanta and the death of George Floyd."

“Simple. We may not like it all the time, but laws and order is necessary,” another driver said."

The videos and news stories I've seen about the protest showed very clearly that the vast majority of BLM protestors wore masks. Not so for the Trump rally. Trump has made it very clear he prefers that they don't. Thats why the Convention is moving to Florida.

Don't fret Emery, your not going.
How come you're not out barking at passing cars?

Dimery @ 8:23- the majority of BLM and Antifa members were wearing face masks before the Wuhan Flu hit, to hide their identities, not for protection. You know, like bank robbers or other hooligans Why is it always necessary to point out the most obvious things to you?

Don Bessee

YO YO YO po' ol' fakenewsman! What rally? The OK has yet to happen??

Bill Tozer

Paul Emery @ 8:20 pm

Those weren’t masks. Them be hoods to cover their faces...too many cell phones around, if you catch my drift and if you have a criminal mind. This ain’t Quainty Town we are talking about.

Speaking of Quainty Town, how long do you think you can keep your historical district intact until they come for that bad racist and Nevada City’s exploitation history?? Under 20 years? History will show the mayor and all involved today rather than condemn its wretched past, condoned it and left monuments to the Earth’s degradation left standing. The mob will be a’coming after the Libs. Demolish the place. They don’t care about no BLM peaceful march. I am off the hook.

No matter how peaceful the true peaceful protestors are, you guys cannot control them or boss them once the sun goes down. Too pussy whimped to stand up to them. They will tell ya to fuck off (the most used word in the English language over last 12 days) right to your face. Have your peace marches and denounce racism. Yep, that takes a lot of courage to be against racism. Much backbone, lol.

Then, call me a racist because I don’t support BLM forceful enough for them. Silence is violence. So, it’s now not only supporting BLM in the way that means totally condone them and lead a cheer for them, but if I do so casually, that makes me and other racists. Too funny. Total mind control. Not supporting the cause in the way they demand I do. Ok, try it again, but this time with more feeling.

Well, guess what? I do not support the BLM Organization. Not the pawns, the man on the south side of the tracks. The Organization. It’s a a racist and bigoted organization that specializes in blowIng dog whistles and makes its money peddling grievances via race baiting. The hustlers. The race hustlers. Hmmm. That would qualified me as a racist...along with those that don’t support the cause loudly enough so every pencil neck virtue signaler can hear. Ain’t going to happen.

Nice group of folks you hang with. And don’t going saying that you are not them, you are non-violent.. You may not be interested in them, but they are interested in you. The Mob. They will be coming to your door in due time. Either you are with them, or you are against them. And if you are not with them, you are a racist and they have ways to make your life most miserable. Ain’t about BLM.

‘New York City Instructed Contact Tracing Team Not To Ask About Protest Participation’

Guess they are hushing it up to blame Trump peace protest rallies.

Don Bessee

So it begins -

A press release from BUSD states, "Noting that Black Lives Matter protests have swept the nation as demonstrators demand justice in response to the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and far too many other Black Americans to list, the Resolution In Support of Black Lives Matter includes the following action steps: Initiate a School Renaming Process for Jefferson and Washington Elementary Schools in accordance with the District’s policies."

Don Bessee

Here is one for the TDS set -

But throughout the Republican Party’s vast organization in the states, the operational approach to Trump’s re-election campaign is hardening around a fundamentally different view.

Interviews with more than 50 state, district and county Republican Party chairs depict a version of the electoral landscape that is no worse for Trump than six months ago — and possibly even slightly better. According to this view, the coronavirus is on its way out and the economy is coming back. Polls are unreliable, Joe Biden is too frail to last, and the media still doesn’t get it.

“The more bad things happen in the country, it just solidifies support for Trump,” said Phillip Stephens, GOP chairman in Robeson County, N.C., one of several rural counties in that swing state that shifted from supporting Barack Obama in 2012 to Trump in 2016. “We’re calling him ‘Teflon Trump.’ Nothing’s going to stick, because if anything, it’s getting more exciting than it was in 2016.”

This year, Stephens said, “We’re thinking landslide.”

In Ohio, Jane Timken, the state party chair, said she sees no evidence of support for Trump slipping. Jennifer Carnahan, the chairwoman of the Minnesota Republican Party, said the same. And Lawrence Tabas, the chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican Party, went so far as to predict that Trump would not only carry his state, but beat Biden by more than 100,000 votes — more than twice the margin he mustered in 2016.
“Contrary to what may be portrayed in the media, there’s still a high level of support out there,” said Kyle Hupfer, chairman of the Indiana Republican Party. He described himself as “way more” optimistic than he was at this point in 2016.

The Republican Party apparatus that Trump heads in 2020 is considerably different than the one that looked at him warily in 2016. At the state level, many chairs who were considered insufficiently committed to the president were ousted and replaced with loyalists. But their assessments would be easier to dismiss as spin if the perception of Trump’s durability did not reach so far beyond GOP officialdom.

When pollsters ask Americans who they think will win the election — not who they are voting for themselves — Trump performs relatively well. And if anything, Trump’s field officers appear more bullish than Trump and some of his advisers.

‘The Cancel Counter: Boston Mayor Considers Removing Lincoln Statue’

34. “Boston mayor Marty Walsh is considering removing a statue of Abraham Lincoln with a freed slave, after a resident filed an online petition that has garnered over 7,000 signatures.

The statue shows Lincoln standing with an arm raised above the freed slave, who is kneeling.

“It says that it’s a statue that’s supposed to represent freedom. But, to me, it represents submissiveness,” Tory Bullock, who started the petition, told Boston’s local ABC affiliate. “It represents: ‘Know your place, because that’s where you belong.'”
30. Joyce Kenner, principle of the selective Chicago high school Whitney Young, faces calls for her resignation over her statements on the George Floyd demonstrations and her leadership more generally. Kenner, who is black, had previously worked for the Reverend Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition.

The principle has called for students of Whitney Young not to join in violent acts should they occur at George Floyd demonstrations, although she has voiced support for students who choose to join peaceful protests. Kenner has also resisted calls to ban Chicago police from city schools, citing the 1999 Columbine High School shooting.

An online petition claims that Kenner “silenced student activists speaking against all forms of injustice. Her silence and her enabling of the systematic oppression that her black and low-income students face should be condemned.”

“Nobody is going to push me out. I’m not resigning. I still have a lot of work to do for my African American students,” Kenner told the Chicago Tribune on June 13.
Not Bobbie!

26. “A statue of Robert the Bruce, the legendary King of Scotland who ruled from 1306 to 1329, was vandalized last night in Stirling, Scotland. On the statue itself the graffiti reads: “Racist King. BLM. Black Lives Matter.” Nearby on a stone rotunda, perpetrators spray-painted the phrase: “Robert was a racist, bring down the statue.”

“We are very disappointed by the vandalism of the iconic Bruce statue at Bannockburn and the A listed rotunda,” Stuart Maxwell said in a statement. Maxwell serves as the General Manager for Edinburgh & East at the National Trust for Scotland.”

I would like to hear what the statues have to say. They say nothing! Silence is violence, tear them down.

Its funny that the pony tail of ignorance has not figured out how old those clips are! LOL

Bill Tozer

Guess I will put this here, since it covers several topic. Addicted to Outrage.

Years of Rage

“Rallies organized by the Democrats to support Trump’s impeachment were remarkably tepid. The Covid-19 lockdown preempted mass protest for most of the first half of 2020. But following the killing of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis on Memorial Day, the country saw an explosion of activity, as Black Lives Matter came out of dormancy to claim status as a prominent, almost revered American institution. The enforcement on social distancing and quarantining was waived on the grounds that protesting racial injustice was also a health emergency—and apparently one that took precedence over Covid-19.

This catalog of the last several years is not exhaustive; many other smaller, local protests have taken place over this time, as is generally customary in the United States. But something different is going on in recent years, with these intense blitzes of all-consuming fury about issues of supposedly dire importance—issues about which no dissenting opinion is conceivable, let alone tolerable—and amplified by a national media megaphone that, in concert with the Democratic Party, appears motivated by singular hatred of Trump.

This period of intermittent agitation, like Orwell’s “Two-Minute Hate” in Nineteen Eighty-Four, creates and channels rage. Recently, with the rioting, looting, and destruction in multiple American cities, the rage turned violent—though this outbreak has abated, at least for the time being. Nonetheless, the spike in national cortisol levels is wrecking our equilibrium and capacity to collect ourselves and is doing the body politic no good.”

Well, I suppose it’s a good thing the TDS crowd has learned to channel their rage. Always a silver lining.

Paul Emery

So what Don He said those things. Are you saying Graham is not truthful or sincere?

‘Hiring: Non-College Graduates ONLY‘

“If you’ve spent any time in the sort of institution that shaped the pair of privileged pyromaniacs, you know that the view of America from the quad is grim. At Princeton and NYU, at Harvard and Columbia and Brown, no subject is worth studying unless it somehow leads to the inevitable conclusion that the land of the free is nothing more than a cruel colonialist cabal of exploiters and profiteers, happily raping the people and the land. Steep in such fetid ideological waters for four or six or eight years, and you, too, may eye a cop car and immediately reach for a bottle of Bud Light and a gasoline-soaked rag.”.....

“Here, then, is a modest proposal: Stop hiring college grads.
Sure, not all alums end up as Playmobil Bobby Seales. And sure, plenty of protesters, including some college grads, managed to express their moral outrage without fire and brimstones. But committing to hiring non-college grads exclusively will solve all sorts of problems in one fell swoop.“.....

“If this year’s college-gate scandal wasn’t proof enough that higher education is a decadent and depraved playground for the rich and sanctimonious, Rahman and Mattis are another necessary reminder that it’s time to defund the deans, dismantle the dorms, and give up on the farce that is American higher education, that bastion of bitter mediocrities.

Until colleges once again teach critical thinking and champion unfettered research; until they commit themselves to genuine intellectual diversity; until they do away with the byzantine tenure system that allows malignant dogmatists to reshape the campus in their image, we’ve no need for these failing institutions. The multitudes who took to the streets this month to demand real change have a point, and there’s no better path to reform than for companies large and small to hire only those Americans who did not waste their time and money learning the art of resentment in college.“

Here's a taste - "The results of the demonstrations following the deaths of black Americans at the hands of police, for all of their grief and passion, have left this 13% of America pretty much where it has always been: poor, sick, living in substandard housing and viewed by many whites as either pitiable or ominous. So much of what has afflicted this community can be ascribed to one burden that they bear disproportionately: poverty, and without the wherewithal to advance economically."

Yep - every single black in America is sick, broke and have no way to better themselves.

@932 - Is he reacting to the cancel culture attack and having to work for baby Murdock who is needy for approval?

With at least 2 congressional takes in cali this and some others could snatch the gavel from botox Nancy!

Alek Skarlatos, the Army National Guard veteran who heroically stopped a terrorist from hijacking a train, is now running to flip a key district in Oregon that could help deliver the House to Republicans.

Skarlatos is running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Oregon’s 4th district — a district that Hillary Clinton won by only a tenth of a percent over President Trump.

He is running to dislodge far-left incumbent Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR), who has held that seat for 33 years and is a backer of defunding the police and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) Green New Deal.

Skarlatos said he decided to run after meeting a state senator and looking into why his district was the poorest in the state.

“The more I learned, the angrier I got,” he said on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday, where he spoke with host Matthew Boyle, Breitbart News political editor, to discuss his run.

“You had a huge economic downturn [in southwest Oregon] since timber went away in the late 80s, early 90s, and it’s really all just been politically motivated. There’s been no real tangible reason for southwestern Oregon being the poorest Congressional district in the state,” he said.
“I felt like after 33 years in office, Peter DeFazio, if he was going to do anything for us, he would have done it by now. And I felt like he doesn’t represent the district anymore, and he’s incredibly far-left,” he added.

He said of DeFazio:
He co-founded the House Progressive Caucus with Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and he co-sponsored the Green New Deal with AOC. He votes with AOC 96 percent of the time, but this is…a very moderate or a toss-up district. It’s not a district where you would traditionally have an outright socialist. So I felt like he didn’t represent the district, and I could do a better job, and that’s really why I’m running.

It’s just because I think the people of southwestern Oregon have gotten a raw deal for far too long, and I think it’s time we turn that around.

In contrast to DeFazio, Skarlatos does not believe in cutting funding from the police.
“I don’t think that cutting funding or diverting funding away from police is going to solve this,” Skarlatos said

“If you defund the police or cut their training, you’re just going to have more bad cops. It’s not going to make the situation better,” he said.

Skarlatos also discussed how he used his training in the Army National Guard and knowledge of weapons to spring into action to stop a terrorist attack aboard a train in France with his two childhood friends.

fwiw. Seattle City Council has unanimously approved a bill outlawing use of non-lethal weapons by police for crowd control. You'd sure hate to get between the crowd and anything it wants to hurt.

Watch for this next:

"“This year, the Seattle Police Department budget is a staggering $409 million – fully 27 percent of the city’s discretionary spending. I was the only councilmember last fall to vote against this appalling budget decision. My office has begun discussions with community activists, organizers, affordable housing developers, young Black and brown leaders, clergy, and others around cutting the police budget by at least 50 percent. In the next two weeks, my office will be fighting alongside the movement to bring forward our legislation to defund the police by at least 50 percent.”"

scenes, Don, BT - You can post this stuff all you want.
You're preaching to the choir.
The white bread lefties have left the room.
They're hiding under their beds.
Out here in "Pleasant Valley Sunday" the reality is that we're not affected one bit by what's going on besides the fact that the debt is continuing to go through the roof.
We're mowing our lawns and watching over our families.
I can guarantee the left will overplay this and sadly, somewhere down the line there will be a bloodbath.
If you want to block the Brooklyn Bridge and murder white police in the blue cities, you can probably get away with it for now.
I absolutely guarantee that anyone messing with 'Pleasant Valley Sunday' will be dead before they hit the ground.
All across the country.
Bring it.
You'll find out what matters.

‘Boston Weighs Removing Replica Emancipation Memorial Of Lincoln, Freed Slave. Slaves Paid For The Original Memorial.’

On April 14, 1876, Frederick Douglass spoke at the unveiling of the memorial in Washington, D.C.

“The sentiment that brings us here to-day is one of the noblest that can stir and thrill the human heart,” Douglass said. “It has crowned and made glorious the high places of all civilized nations with the grandest and most enduring works of art, designed to illustrate the characters and perpetuate the memories of great public men. It is the sentiment which from year to year adorns with fragrant and beautiful flowers the graves of our loyal, brave, and patriotic soldiers who fell in defence of the Union and liberty. It is the sentiment of gratitude and appreciation, which often, in presence of many who hear me, has filled yonder heights of Arlington with the eloquence of eulogy and the sublime enthusiasm of poetry and song; a sentiment which can never die while the Republic lives.”

Douglass later added, “We, the colored people, newly emancipated and rejoicing in our blood-bought freedom, near the close of the first century in the life of this Republic, have now and here unveiled, set apart, and dedicated a monument of enduring granite and bronze, in every line, feature, and figure of which the men of this generation may read, and those of after-coming generations may read, something of the exalted character and great works of Abraham Lincoln, the first martyr President of the United States.””

Honestly, what I find most interesting is the unholy marriage between the Blue Mob and corporate America. Poisoning cops with bleach is only a statistic but firing people (and disbarring lawyers) for questioning this new orthodoxy is where the action really is. It can even happen in Idaho.

Looting is something you might just see on TV, but this new religion messes with everyone to some extent and in a more insidious way. A not bad interview, at least the interviewee isn't bad... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSLZHnpt-RQ

It's a pity that Paul isn't around to justify our brave new world, no doubt too busy with 'news craft'. I suppose it's hard to make much of any point based on Trump polls and asking George trivial little questions.

Paul Emery

Things looking bleak for Trumpsters in the swing state Michigan. This poll shows Biden up by 16-no joke. Also New Mexico is hopeless

Me: I suppose it's hard to make much of any point based on Trump polls and asking George trivial little questions.

(just like clockwork)
Paul: Things looking bleak for Trumpsters in the swing state Michigan. This poll shows Biden up by 16-no joke.

Probably time to get back to some more 'craft'. Maybe there's an opportunity for a 'news' show that's all Trump all the Time.

I was thinking about Pavlik Morozov lately and how it's a recurring theme...

Gotta keep the 'Four Olds' in mind. Old customs, culture, habits, ideas. There's gotta be a statue for our local Red Guard to tear down. Maybe the high school mascot.

Todd Juvinall

If one actually reads the article the polls Paul Emery cites, you can see the people polled like Black Lives Matter as well. And the underlying numbers are phony too. 25% R's when it should be 35% and the pollster uses registered voters not likely voters. So once again Paul shot his emotions and not his reality.

I was thinking about Pavlik Morozov lately and how it's a recurring theme…

….Comrade Ogilvy was a fiction! Do we really know if "Young Pioneer Morozov" even existed?

I suppose it doesn't matter.

My comments on the Union article saying we are all racists in our little county.
"More incendiary reporting on a non issue in Nevada County. This is why the press is not seen as relevant except as a mouthpiece for the democrats and the true racists out there running around looting and burning. America is a just and fair country but the slackers and the takers want more of your stuff for free. If they pursue this ridiculous activity to undermine the country it will not be pretty when the forces of law and justice meet them. Rather than write tripe like this complaint letter, why did the author not seek out those successful minorities in the area and the state? Just the whiners not the makers. I saw a great interview of a black man that started a business in Greenwich Village New York and he was a inspiration. If you keep giving these losers the public forum then at some point they will be coming to loot and burn your place down. I have never owned a slave. Non of my ancestors did either. Why don't you interview someone that is not a racist? That would not fit the leftwing agenda of hate you are peddling here. America will outlast this attempt to remake it into Zimbabwe and that will prove our greatness."..

ToddJ 846am - Nice shot Todd, thanks for sharing.

Paul Emery

Those of you with a memory might recall Todd predicting a Romney win because he followed the " unsqued polls" polls that predicted Bomney over Obama by 8. WE all know what happened. Also he predicted the Repubs would sweep the House two years ago. Well, need I say more. It is well known Trump is freaking out over his pathetic polling.

Todds Guru on unsqued polls admits here he was wrong:

Dean Chambers, the man who garnered praise from the right and notoriety on the left for his "Unskewed Polling" site, admitted today that his method was flawed.
"Nate Silver was right, and I was wrong," Chambers said in a phone interview.
Chambers' method of "unskewing" polls involved re-weighting the sample to match what he believed the electorate would look like, in terms of party identification. He thought the electorate would lean more Republican when mainstream pollsters routinely found samples that leaned Democratic.

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery, please read the underlying info on the polls so you won't embarrass yourself further. Trump was my guy in 2016 and he won. Hillary and these loons of the Deep State/Che' were yours. And you got your butt handed to you.

Paul 7:51 - "Things looking bleak for Trumpsters..."
I suppose it's of no use to point out to Paul that we conservatives do not tie our fortunes to the govt like the left does. The reasons for the poor to be poor didn't change when Obama was pres and there is no reason to believe they will be any better off if Biden wins.
Paul, like most of the left don't really give a shit about the people or the environment nearly as much as they simply hate Trump.
The current 'race crises' is a ginned up bunch of crap based on a bunch of lies. In the end, the poor will end up even worse off and race relations will be/are going backwards.
Biden wins!
We tore down stuff!
We burned and looted!
We got rid of a lot of folk with bad thoughts!
And then what?
Yes, I know - Paul will have a new poll.
For all the good that does.

Regarding Mr. Emery's post @ 7:15 AM, from Fox News..."Democrat Dingell compares Biden Poll surge to Clinton in 2016...'I don't believe those numbers.'"

Even the Dems have no faith in Biden or the polls.

Daily quotes and a meme

Insight: “When even one American — who has done nothing wrong — is forced by fear to shut his mind and close his mouth, then all Americans are in peril.” —Harry S. Truman (1884-1972)

For the record I: “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the best of what policing is.” —House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, who was in the crosshairs of a leftist would-be assassin in 2017

For the record II: “Those who have most consistently undermined the police and other elements of law enforcement are among those most shocked by the escalation of crime and violence.” —Thomas Sowell

Observations: “It seems to me that the greatest privilege on offer in our culture today is the privilege to be utterly immune from the law. This is the privilege exercised by many of the ‘protesters.’ And though some of them are white males, many are not. It is, then, a privilege that is not dispensed based on race, but on ideology. We might call it Leftist Privilege.” —Matt Walsh

Prescient: “So this week it’s Robert E. Lee… I wonder: Is it George Washington next week, and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself — where does it stop?” —Donald Trump, 2017

Upright: “People keep saying the biggest problem with yesterday’s [LGBT] ruling is the violation of separation of powers, or that it was legislating from the bench. Those are problems. But not the biggest. The biggest problem is that the Court has imposed a harmful gender ideology on the nation.” —Ryan T. Anderson

Re: The Left: “Allowing judges to rewrite the Civil Rights Act to add gender identity & sexual orientation as protected classes poses a grave threat to religious liberty. We’ve already witnessed courts use the redefinition of words as a battering ram to crush faith-based businesses and orgs.” —Tony Perkins

Nailed it: “There seems to be a widescale misapprehension about American unity: that it can be achieved by cramming down broad rules down from the top. That’s not how this works. We’re supposed to agree on broad principles of liberty, and then leave each other the hell alone.” —Ben Shapiro

Non sequitur: “Sleeping in a drive-thru must not end in death.” —former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (No, but resisting arrest, fighting with cops, taking one of there tasers, attempting to flee, turning and shooting at one of the cops — now that can get you killed.)

Total lack of self-awareness: “This is literally a life and death election. We felt like we can’t endure another four years of Trump; we have to do everything we can to get him out of office.” —acting Planned Parenthood president Alexis McGill Johnson endorsing Joe Biden

Non compos mentis: “There continues to be an epidemic of violence against black trans women.” —Pete Buttigieg

And last… “Whites have five times more privilege than blacks in the womb.” —Doug TenNapel

Having a major back and forth email debate with Union Editor Brian Hamilton. He thinks the BLM attack on Grass Valley last week was all local. Amazing. He said he interviewed two of them and they said they were all local. He missed the buses and cars on Hwy 49 pouring here from Sacramento and south. What a lazy ass reporter.

For Don. Very long Asia Times interview with Bannon. Multiple topics. Read it if you got the time

In an exclusive interview, Steve Bannon pulls no punches on what he really thinks about China and Trump's re-election chances

Todd writes about the Union editor Brian Hamilton:

"He missed the buses and cars on Hwy 49 pouring here from Sacramento and south."

What exactly was the "Attack" you are referring to and what damage ensued?

Were you opposed to the out of town people who protested with the locals in Selma Alabama?

Todd Juvinall

Paul Emery | 16 June 2020 at 05:29 PM

So you are a racist like those invaders said your . Good to know. They are coming for you and you are so dumb you actually fail to understand. Sad.

Paul Emery

Tell us about the “attack” Todd.. Who and what was attacked and where.

Bill Tozer

Are we now comparing the “mostly peaceful protestors” to the Civil Rights Marches @ Selma? All the marchers nicely dressed, fighting for the right to sit down at restaurants and rent a hotel room? To use any drinking fountain? Rosa Parks stood up for her civil rights, but she did not burn the bus down. And they overcame. Fighting for the right of Fairness in housing and employment. This ain’t the Civil Rights

And a prof gets fired last week for reading MLK’s Letters from Jail to his class.

If anyone can show me evidence or data on systemic racism in LE, I sure would like to see it. It simply don’t exist....beyond anecdotal stories and hysteria.

Nothing has changed for/ in the Black Community since The Civil Rights Act of 68. Great Society. Bunch of broken promises. Half the males will drop out of high school, 25% will have criminal records. 70% born to fatherless homes. We don’t call them “the projects” anymore. They have bulldozed some of the old ones and built some newer projects. Deconstruct the family. Great idea.

BTW, within 10 years of IKE sending in the troops to escort that girl and some others into the public school in Little Rock, that same HS set the National Prep Record for the 440 relay.

We already knew they were a happy part of the red brigade -

NBC News is facing intense backlash for apparently influencing Google to punish two conservative news sites over what was deemed offensive coverage of the George Floyd protests.

In a report published Tuesday afternoon, NBC News claimed Google "banned" The Federalist and ZeroHedge from Google Ads for "pushing unsubstantiated claims" about the Black Lives Matter movement. Google later pushed back, claiming that The Federalist "was never demonetized," and adding, "We worked with them to address issues on their site related to the comments section."
"We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing," a Google spokesperson initially told NBC News. NBC, however, did not link to the "derogatory content" from The Federalist or ZeroHedge.

Meanwhile in the real world 2 nuclear armed nations high level meeting to disengage their armies ended up in a blood bath with high ranking officers among the casualties -

Dozens of troops from India and China were reportedly killed in a dispute along a contested area of their shared border – the first bloody clash between the two countries in decades and an event with the potential to spark even more violence.

Chinese state media described the incident Monday night in the Galwan River valley where both countries have deployed troops in recent weeks as "the most serious clash between Chinese and Indian soldiers so far," confirming casualties but offering no further details about them. Indian government sources speaking on the condition of anonymity told The Times of India that 20 Indian army personnel had died in the fighting.

American intelligence believes 35 Chinese troops died, including one senior officer, a source familiar with that assessment tells U.S. News. The incident took place during a meeting in the mountainous region between the two sides – both of which had agreed to disarm – to determine how the two militaries would safely withdraw their presences from the region.

The meeting grew tense and resulted in a physical confrontation between the troops. According to the assessment, all of the casualties were from the use of batons and knives and from falls from the steep topography, the source says.

According to the U.S. assessment, the Chinese government considers the casualties among their troops as a humiliation for its armed forces and has not confirmed the numbers for fear of emboldening other adversaries, the source says.

The sources who spoke with the Times said 43 Chinese troops died in the fighting.
