I'm thinking we should demand that the NC city council kneel at their next meeting, right out there in front of God and everybody, to show how so sorry they are.
This should be followed by a (minimum) five minute speech on the sins of their ancestors and what bastards the cops are. I'm not asking for outright weeping like the mayor of Minneapolis at the Golden Coffin, but it has to be utterly convincing or we won't buy it.
The whole town could be invited.
It would be an absolutely wonderful thing to watch.

Sanderlin told ABC7 that as he raised his arms, trying to get officers to stop shooting the hard rubbber projectiles at protesters, an officer aimed and shot him in the groin. San Jose Police Chief Edgar Garcia told the television station the incident will be investigated.

He had this to say, “We have a Constitution and we have to follow that Constitution and the president has drifted away from it....I couldn’t vote for him in [2016] and I certainly cannot, in any way, support President Trump this year. He lies about things, and he gets away with it because people will not hold him accountable.”

"What is just me, or did others notice the complete silence of Nadler, many Dem Congresswomen, and local politicians when the Botox Queen said Trump was morbidly obese?"
Oh well, the outrage about fat shaming is obviously just a tactic. You use it when you gain something (so to speak), don't when it's of no use.
It's kind of like the uproar about gathering in groups back when it was people going to the beach. Now, the MSM and the folks in continuous coup mode thinks it's A-OK to burn down buildings and gather in huge crowds. Truth is, they never really cared all that much except in how it suited their own political kinks.
That's the beautiful thing about political arguments. They are nearly always just people scrabbling about for 'proof' to backup an opinion they already had. My own push is that I just really like Western Civilization, with all it's faults. The US is an interesting variant on the theme. The style of government can vary quite a lot if the underlying population is tolerably high functioning. The seeming fact the the US Left, at least the part that isn't simply an ethnic group looking out for it's own interests, is veering towards the destruction of something so old as something intolerably evil is quite a mystery to me.
The mind virus that has taken over the (mostly) urban white progressives is a damned odd thing. If successful, they disappear in a generation. They won't even have the excuse of a Thera or Sea People.

I will (eventually) respond to your good comments @ 10:08 in Riot Reflections at some point to keep with Dr. Rebane’s repeated requests we post comments under the proper headings/topics.
When I do respond it will go something like this: If America is irredeemably racist with its Systemic Racism and White Privilege and racist founding... that it is imbrued in our Nation and nothing will fix that. Nothing. That explains why instead of working on resolving the problem through the ballot box, the Mob’s only Solution is to burn it all down and start anew with a new America. As someone has already posted a link somewhere, they are not interested in reform but only in Revolution. Thus, with Revolution as the goal, there is no need to put forth policies or agendas or even condemn the riots. The stain is such that it can never be removed...except for the complete destruction of everything ‘for which she stands’....from the Constitution (our playbook) to their playbook which requires the total destruction of ‘for which she stands.’
Even my or the readers’ ‘White Privilege’ in 2020 cannot be solved...there is no solution to it, so burn it all down and see what comes out of the ashes. That’s their playbook.
Looking around, it’s had to say they seek justice. Even bending the knell and prostrating before them will not remove the indelible stain...so it’s a waste of time. There is not enough money in the world that monetary reparations will satisfy the Mob. Their lust for power and control is insatiable.
Reform is not what they seek. Penitence only strokes their cruelty. Humiliation of their opponents is delightful to them. It is not justice they seek. It is not balancing the books for injury or harm done. The sins our our fathers can only be washed away by washing America away.
As one deceased pollster Patrick Cadell said from his own research, people feared there will always be a United States, but there may not always be an America. Thus he was a lone wolf predicting Trump’s 2016 election. Indeed there will always be a United States, but there may not always be an America...for which she stands

Yes, it is real. Helpful article to understand the worry, feeling of helplessness, and overall anxiety our unhinged folks are going through. Not good. Hits them right in the pre-frontal cortex and shuts down their thinking process filter as evidenced here.
Trump Derangement Syndrome': Is it real?
“While you won’t find "Trump Derangement Syndrome" in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), that doesn’t mean there isn’t an underlying validity to it.
“Just because it's not in DSM, it doesn't mean it's not a real mental condition,” Dr. Rob Whitley tells Just The News. Whitley, who has published over 100 papers in the field of social psychiatry, points out that the conditions of burnout and nervous breakdowns aren’t official mental disorders either, but they exist.
“We have many cases throughout history of certain psychological phenomena really debilitating people and making their life difficult but not being officially recognized as a mental disorder,” Whitley explains. “So it's important to keep an open mind about what is and what isn't a mental disorder.”...
....“You lose your filter, you lose your prefrontal cortex,” Lustig explains. “Prefrontal cortical dysfunction is the hallmark of basically all of the societal behavioral problems that we have experienced in the last 50 years.”
“Those behavioral problems are addiction, depression, anxiety, inattention, and hate. “When your prefrontal cortex doesn't work, all of those five go hog wild,” he says “Those are the five components that people call ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome.’”
https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/all-things-trump/trump-derangement-syndrome-it-real
It is better to understand than be understood. Also explains their progressive mental decline and Increased hatred and loony tunes behavior. It gets worse, never better.

Don't know who is hiding. I've explained why I posted using a blog handle. While my concerns have proved to be unfounded I see no sense in changing now (not like certain people who change their online ID daily). It was funny when the fattest little weasel in the blogosphere thought that by outing me I was going to scurry away.
So tell us Fishy, make an actual statement that is not an immature ad hominem : Fuck you!

Its possible....although I was vocal about my opposition to the Iraq War and other mis-adventuring in the Middle East.
You are an independent voter but are you anti-military?
I am against using the military for seemingly everything. I am anti military adventurism.
Are all these high ranking military officers just clueless buffoons to you? Are these generals and admirals all libs?
It is well accepted that Flag rank military personnel are largely politicians. In general I don't care for politicians.
Are you just a snarky troll?

Well as you know George Trump blasted Sweden last Friday as an example of what would happen if there wasn't a shutdown. this seems the total opposite to what you believe in. This was all part of Trump congratulating himself for shutting things down. Do you support his position on this?
Trumps quote "And by the way, they can bringing up Sweden it has come back to haunt Sweden, Sweden is having a terrible time. If we did that we would have lost 1 million, 1.5 million, maybe even 2.5 million or more lives so we are at 105,000 lives, big move closing it up."

That's one poll Walt. what about the other 9 in the RCP consensus average? Besides even
Trumps internal polls look grim.
""If the election were held today," The Associated Press reports, Trump would "likely lose." Trump, his political advisers, and campaign staff "have grown increasingly concerned about his re-election chances as they've watched Trump's standing take a pummeling first on his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and now during a nationwide wave of protests against racial injustice," AP says. "Internal campaign surveys and public polling showed a steady erosion in support for Trump among seniors and in battleground states once believed to be leaning decisively in the president's direction."
A source briefed on Trump's internal polls tells Axios' Jonathan Swan they are "brutal," especially his significant drop-off among independents — though, another adviser added, Trump also has a "woman problem." Trump's top political advisers all huddled for the first time last week to try to right Trump's campaign ship, Swan adds. "There's a thought that we need to shift to be much more cohesive in terms of a message of healing, rebuilding, restoring, recovering ... a theme that goes with COVID and the economy and the race stuff," a senior Trump adviser tells Axios. "The messaging that works for the red-MAGA-hat base doesn't resonate with independents."

Thus, after Trump started referring to Biden as “Sleepy Joe,” it took Biden several news cycles to respond, and he chose to call Trump “a clown,” which is what you call a harmless entertaining figure. When Trump stated that, compared to Joe Biden, “I just feel like a young man. I’m so young. I can’t believe it . . . I’m a young vibrant man.” To this, Biden responded with “If he looks young and vibrant compared to me, I should probably go home.”
Recently, much was made about the fact that Biden had to apologize when he told a black man that if he did not vote for him, he was not black. Well, what do you make about the following? Linda Hirshman wrote, “I believe Tara Reade. I’m voting for Joe Biden anyway.” Biden, instead of letting his staff share this op-ed with one and all, stated “If they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn't vote for me.”
On March 13, Biden held his first virtual town hall event, replacing a canceled Chicago rally. CNN called it “a technical calamity” and noted that it involved “[t]echnical glitch after technical glitch.” The event did not begin until fifteen minutes after its scheduled start time, even after the campaign moved the start time to make it two hours later than initially planned. When it finally began, those tuning in via Zoom were unable to see a visual of Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois), who introduced the former vice president. When Biden appeared, his audio broke up so much that his comments were unintelligible. During the question-and-answer portion of the event, the first person called upon said, “Mr. Biden’s speech was garbly [sic] the entire time.” The next person who was called upon never spoke up, seeming to have left the call, which the Biden team did not note. As the next two questioners began their queries, Biden inquired, “Am I live?” and “Am I on camera?” A few days later, Biden’s March 17 primary-night speech, filmed at his home. It featured a “poorly lit backdrop and grainy footage,” which, according to the Washington Post, “made even some of his supporters wince and compare it to a hostage video.”

Racist Trump is at it again, but his minions are too incompetent,
WASHINGTON — On Friday, a federal judge ruled in favor of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe in its battle with the Trump administration to retain its tribal land in trust.
Judge Paul L. Friedman of the U.S. District Court for the District Of Columbia ruled that the Department of Interior’s 2018 decision that the Tribe was not under federal jurisdiction in 1934 was “arbitrary, capricious, an abuse of discretion and contrary to law.”
In doing so, Friedman effectively ruled that the DOI incorrectly applied its own guidelines when it decided the Mashpee tribe did not qualify to have its land taken into federal trust.
