We'll be celebrating in our neighborhood. The best system of human governance ever devised and the men and women that sacrificed their lives to make it a reality. The haters that want to tear it down because it isn't perfect should stop and think about how fortunate they are to live here.
We are praying for safety for those people who will have to work today to keep our lives, liberty, and property secure.

Happy Treason Day you ungrateful, freedom-loving colonials! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

As another Independence Day is upon us, here's a quick review of why we broke away from England. It seems that Thomas Jefferson had a poor opinion of King George III. The main problem - poor customer service. George never listened and he had no competition. Tom understood that competition is the only cure for incompetence. So we had to start a competing governmental system.

Tom even listed 18 examples of the poor service that soon-to-be American citizens had to put up with. Get your copy of the Declaration and read those reasons for yourself. It only takes a few minutes.

How grateful I am that it was Thomas Jefferson, not some present politician, who wrote our Declaration. We’ve seen how easily the governor-kings put their coronavirus crowns on. In a matter of weeks, freedoms were taken from us. Lack of attention on our part can quickly lead to tyranny. We recently experienced what it might mean to only have a Constitution with a Bill of Right – you get to choose which one of the 10 you want, the other nine are taken from you. With no apology.

God has blessed America, even though we were forbidden from attending church.

scenes 9:05 - "...everything we owe the govt..."
Nah, sorry - I've already paid my taxes. Don't owe them a thing until next year.

scenes 9:05 (again) - Oh wait - do the Dems mean the natl debt?
Then it's about one two hundredth million of god only knows how many trillions that I owe.

Let's not forget Jefferson's ghostwriter for the Declaration, John Locke, whose 2nd Treatise on Guv'mint is the founding document, originally published anonymously nine decades earlier.

In fact, I'm gonna go look for my copy as there ain't no fireworks displays tonight.

And here is how our resident anti-American contingent calls for the celebration of the Fourth, courtesy of their premier communist intellectual outlet truthout.com.

Hey Greg. Here is a good read as well.

Truthout?! Lol. I read the Declaration of Independence like every year. And read half of my book about the civil war. Now I am going to the lake and come home and watch fireworks on TV. And each minute we’ll appreciate all of our fellow Americans. Even the grossly misguided ones. 😂🇺🇸🇺🇸.

Everyone have a safe and FUN 4th of July celebration! Here is a chance for the ignorant trolls to educate themselves -

I did find it after a short search of my unorganized library.

The very first sentence of the First Treatise of Government reads,
"SLAVERY is so vile and miserable a state of man, and so directly opposite to the generous temper and courage of our nation, that it is hardly to be conceived that an Englishman, let alone a gentleman, should plead for it."

This is the basis for the Declaration... that Jefferson wrote words echoing that in the Declaration and his co-conspirators decided against pissing off their neighbors at the beginning of their fight against their former King, the one with the biggest army and navy in the world... no people, that doesn't mean the War for Independence was pro-slaver.

I found this to be a good view from a military spouse who understands sacrifice -

Laura Sargeant: Celebrating July 4th as a military spouse living overseas

As I celebrate my family’s anniversary of love this Fourth of July, I also recognize that the Declaration of Independence was our Founding Father’s love letter to us

Say it girl:

South Dakota Gov: Founding ‘Ideals Cannot Be Dismissed As The Irrelevant Opinions Of Flawed Men’

“Across America these last several weeks, we have been witnessing a very troubling situation unfold. In real-time, we are watching an organized, coordinated campaign to remove and eliminate all references to our nation’s founding and many other points in our history. Rather than looking to the past to help improve our future, some are trying to wipe away the lessons of history, lessons that we should be teaching to our children and to our grandchildren. This approach focuses exclusively on our forefathers’ flaws, but it fails to capitalize on the opportunity to learn from their virtues.”

Noem noted that this isn’t happening by accident, but “deliberately” as a means to “discredit America’s founding principles by discrediting the individuals who formed them so that America can be remade into a different political image.”

“The governor continued, asking the audience to understand that America’s independence was a unique and powerful confluence of events and brilliant minds. Noem added that the Declaration of Independence is “arguably one of the most important statements of purpose ever written” in part because it stands as a symbol for other peoples across the globe.”

Noem then offered salient insight:

“These ideals cannot be dismissed as the irrelevant opinions of flawed men. Our founders had their flaws, certainly, but to use those flaws to condemn their ideals is unjust and self-defeating. How many of us have lived up to our own ideals?”

I think CNN really hates America. Don’t hate, celebrate!

" It's only treason if you lose"- George Washington.

Robert Cross

George Washington also said, "“no punishment, in my opinion, is to great, for the man who can build his greatness upon his country's ruin” -- sounds like the trumpster, who has dropped his 2020 campaign slogan "keep America Great" because America is in ruin. Now it's back to "make America great again" because his incompetence wrecked it.

Scott O

Bobby X 9:27 - "...because his incompetence wrecked it."
And of course Bobby offers absolutely no evidence to back up his blather. Another hit and run from another cowardly leftist.
Just what do the leftists offer?
Anarchy, rioting, mayhem, looting, arson, destruction of public and private property...
I can hardly wait until Bobby shows us his magic plans to save our country.
