Needs no intro, skip to the bottom.

CLUELESS JOE BIDEN: WRONG ON THE CORONAVIRUS, AS USUAL

“said that as vice president, Biden presided, along with President Obama, over the depletion of the national strategic stockpile of the PPE equipment that health professionals require in an epidemic. The Obama-Biden administration did not replenish it. Thus, the equipment that was needed most by health care professionals was no longer available when the virus hit the U.S.

Finally, Rove said that in a televised interview with Joy Reid two weeks ago, Biden listed six elements of his plan to deal with the pandemic. According to Rove, all six elements of his plan are things Trump has already done.

UPDATE: Here are Rove’s specifics regarding how Trump has already done the things Biden says need to be done in response to the pandemic.“

Soon it may be Shoeless Joe as well as Clueless Joe. Saw an interesting poll (2 polls now actually) asking folks whom they think will be the Democrat Party nominee in November. I found it rather astonishing...er...strike that......rather non-astonishing nor unsurprising for those outside the bubble that a polling company would be hired to even ask such a question about any major party nominee in normal times. That has to be a rare jewel in the polling business. The desert blossom among the bush rats.

Who do you think will be the Democrat Party Nominee come November?

Self explanatory. You are speaking for Scott. Are you his agent and did he give you permission to speak for him?

I realize that you’ve lost a step or two mentally (probably why you are so enamored of Grandpa Badfinger as a candidate). But my making the observation that Scott has more productive uses for his time than listening to a senile democrat grifter blather on about whatever he was blathering on about in no way means that I’m speaking for him.

Maybe it’s time to seriously consider assisted living Punch?

Fox News had the top five most-watched cable news programs during the first quarter of 2020.

With the coronavirus pandemic increasingly taking up much of the media's focus, prime-time hosts Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson had the top two shows, averaging more than 4 million viewers a night, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The Five, which starts at 5 p.m. ET; Laura Ingraham's evening program, which airs at 10 p.m.; and news anchor Bret Baier's program, which airs at 6 p.m., rounded out the top five. Each program averaged more than 3 million viewers. These five shows also finished in the top five of the key 25-54 age demographic, which helps determine ad rates.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, who in recent quarters competed for the top-rated show against Hannity and Carlson, slipped out of the top five to sixth place. Her show also dropped an additional spot in the 25-54 age demographic, behind Fox News's The Story with Martha MacCallum, which airs at 7 p.m. ET. Maddow averaged an audience of 3 million people per day. Her viewership has rebounded somewhat, despite the drop in the rankings, as the numbers have also risen for Hannity and Carlson.

"The Fox TV broadcast of Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace delivered 1.46 million Total Viewers and 389,000 A25-54 viewers. The cable replays combined for 3.345 million Total Viewers and 586,000 A25-54 viewers. Combined with the first-run broadcast, that’s roughly 4.8 million Total Viewers and 975,000 A25-54 viewers tuning in to FNS on Aug. 9."

#1 Sunday show, Meet the Depressed with Chuck Toddster:"The first-run broadcast of MTP on Aug. 9 averaged 3.20 million Total Viewers. That figure is +17% (+456,000) more than ABC’s This Week, but only +1% (+23,000) more than CBS’ Face the Nation."

So, MTP shows once on Sunday getting 3.2 million viewers, while FNS is shown several times and gets 4.8 million, in 4th place but with the most viewers by far. Make sense?

Scott O

Paul - "Well Gregory for some reason the RR regulars were afraid to watch Bidens speech..."
Yeah Paul - It turns out 'I'm afraid' to waste my time watching any canned political speech. Including Trump, Biden - anyone.
They're all just a bunch of actors on the stage reading lines with the occasional phoney-baloney emotional sob stories.
I'm far more interested in actual policy and the record of the pol.
And Biden stinks. His record is clear. He's a political hack who'll do whatever his handlers tell him. He and Obama had 8 years to 'fix' all the things he now claims he'll fix. Except he doesn't seem to offer any specifics beyond a bunch of tired, useless, left-wing talking points.
The only person I see that's scared is Hidin' Biden. He can't/won't do an interview with someone like Tucker Carlson. Trump sat with an adversarial interviewer and answered the questions. When Biden is willing to answer something beyond puff-balls - I'll watch.

......and there it is......desperation.

Even if it turned out that Biden was still what he was 20 years ago do you think that for a single second it would change any minds here?

From what I hear Biden had a decent speech and managed not to shit himself on stage while delivering it...and you could positively hear the collective sigh of relief (from the left) across the land. They will spend the next 6 weeks arguing the “Joe is fine” no need for a debate...”You all saw him, no backsies”! They’re desperate to keep him in a controlled environment where he won’t decide to ad lib and tell America that “you ain’t black”, grope a small child while a camera is running, or publicly cut another back room deal for Hunter with the PRC.

It’s all good Punch......!

Can you show me a link where you got the information in your 8:23? If you do I'll comment on it.

paul emery

Scott

Do you think the country is in better shape now than when Trump took office in '16?

Gregory

Paul... if Trump wins a'gin, will you accept the will of the people of these United States, this time?

Scott O

It was in much better shape until the Chinese Flu clobbered the world's economy. Although we're doing better than most of the rest of the world, we need to get our free-market capitalistic system cranking again. Biden is promising a top-down govt controlled system that has already proven itself to be a failure.
And of course - the left-wing violence aided and abbeted by the Dems in power in some large cities. They are willing to let their cities be destroyed in order to try to get rid of Trump. Then they'll want fed money to re-build.
Biden refuses to address, let alone denounce this violence. There is little Trump can do as the violence is usually in jurisdictions outside of fed control.
And there is the continuing ruination of our so-called 'higher education' into a left-wing morass of dim-witted thugs bullying and harassing and driving out the better people of these once fine world-class institutions. This started long before Trump and there is nothing he can do about it, save the bully-pulpit.
Trump has greatly improved our courts with his picks for judges. Once the left has come back into power in the court system our Republic will collapse into some sort of autocratic socialistic ruin.
So - basically I would say our country is in much better shape with Trump right now certainly than it would have been if Clinton had won.
That's for sure.

paul emery

Sure Gregory. Will you accept the will of the people if Biden wins?

Gregory

You didn't last time, paul.

And I will of course accept defeat of jo jo by either Trump or Biden.

Don Bessee

Yo Yo Yo ya ol pony tail of ignorance??? Sounds like a ready to lose it again but we won the popular vote right. LOL!!

scenes

George Rebane: "PaulE, do make all this crap up out of whole cloth about what everyone here does and thinks?"

It doesn't take much. Paul just pounds out the same couple of messages over and over and watches the 20 or so responses. It's classic troll behavior each with a tiny endorphin rush.

I was thinking about the excellent article Greg posted up from Quillette about modern Marxism and wanted to suggest an alternate tack (not a full replacement). It makes sense in viewing the modern Left in a Marxist framework and certainly there is occasional overt use of that philosophy but it seems to me that this is about power.

In short, a lot of what you are seeing is simply an attempt to tear down existing systems and then to acquire a place of prominence in the new ones. Any underlying structural theories will be malleable to suit the situation but the important thing is ownership of resources.

The classic Communist takeover always had that flavor but our current situation seems to be more oriented that way.

George Rebane

scenes 754am - A main tenet of Rebane Doctrine has always been that leftwing (modern) liberalism is the gateway ideology to full-blown Marxism, and to the extent that it dominates any jurisdiction's political base (e.g. California), it puts that jurisdiction on the slippery slope through socialism to communism. The cynical part of this slide is that it will be funded by other jurisdictions (states, fed) during its progress toward single-party dominance - this is Lenin's 'selling us the rope' paradigm. I think Hazony does a great job connecting the key elements of Marxist political corruption.

Republicans are dumping Trump in droves. Here's today's example:

"A Statement by Former Republican National Security Officials

We are former national security officials who served during the administrations of Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and/or Donald Trump, or as Republican Members of Congress. We are profoundly concerned about the course of our nation under the leadership of Donald Trump. Through his actions and his rhetoric, Trump has demonstrated that he lacks the character and competence to lead this nation and has engaged in corrupt behavior that renders him unfit to serve as President.

For the following reasons, we have concluded that Donald Trump has failed our country and that Vice President Joe Biden should be elected the next President of the United States.

To that end, we are firmly convinced that it is in the best interest of our nation that Vice President Joe Biden be elected as the next President of the United States, and we will vote for him.

A happy fun fact from Dilbert's dad... Biden's speech was the shortest DNC nomination acceptance speech in history.

paul emery

Here's more:

Colin Powell on Sunday became the latest notable Republican or former military leader to express concern about President Donald Trump, saying he’ll vote for Joe Biden in November instead.

The former secretary of State said that by threatening last week to use active-duty U.S. troops against protesters, Trump showed he has “drifted away” from the U.S. Constitution.

“He is now the candidate, and I’ll be voting for him,” Powell, perhaps the most prominent black Republican in the U.S., said of Biden on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Powell, 83, was the top diplomat under Republican President George W. Bush and before that served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as National Security Adviser.

He joins a number of prominent retired military officials as well as current and former lawmakers to criticize Trump, although not all have said they’ll vote for Biden. Powell has also said he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016.

Senator Mitt Romney of Utah, a long-term antagonist of Trump, has suggested he’ll write in his wife’s name in November. The New York Times reported that Cindy McCain, widow of Republican Senator John McCain, is likely to vote for Biden. Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said last week’s she’s “struggling” to support Trump. And former President George W. Bush and his brother Jeb, a former Florida governor, are other possible Biden voters.

I expect there was a time when the crack KVMR news team wasn't busy fellating neo-cons and GoogleCIAAmazonNSAFBI, but the orders came from on-high, timed along with the DNC national carnival, to get the word out. It's funny how shallow those anti-corporate and anti-war roots really are, but I can't say that I'm surprised.

"The same idiots who Punchy excoriated for Iraq he now beams at as thoughtful patriots and statesmen!"

It's pretty crazy, I can tell you.

Notice how all of that anti-war guff (which could be reasonable, I can see leaving Afghanistan completely alone after putting the fear of God into the Taliban and then leaving) ebbs and flows depending on which party (pro-business Republicans or pro-business/pro government worker Democrats) is in power.

Trump scales down all of this, pulls troops out of various places, intends to pull troops out of others...it doesn't matter. Anti-war sentiment is pure BS, mainly a tool used for political reasons. It was all fake to begin with.

Paul gets my lack of respect not because he is unusual for his class, but because he represents the typical lack of integrity held by those people. It's just that he's handy and deserves the occasional rant.

Bill Tozer

Guess the Dems are celebrating Biden coming out with his rusty zipper up and he didn’t stumble and take a nose dive on camera. With expectations that low, with the bar set on inches above the ground, the Dems took one big collective sigh of relief. Fine speech, exactly the kind of stump speech Obama delivered when he was running in 2008. The big unifier. Coming together, make love not hate. Let’s join together. Come to the light, shun the darkness.

Now, after weeks of rehearsing the acceptance speech, the trick for Biden is to do a repeat performance on the campaign trail. Odds of that happening are approaching zero. Biden is fine, no need to debate Trump, and he might be ready to take unscripted improv hard questions from the media (chances of that are near zero as well), and no more talk about Biden’s mental capabilities (deficiencies).

All in all, it was a good night for Biden. Now, put him back in his vampire casket in the basement and let him out after midnight on a full moon when nobody can see him. “Biden is fine, trust me,” sez the legions of advisers on his payroll. Now, cart him out of here. Out of sight, out of mind, out of brain cells. Nothing to see here folks, look the other way.

Former Vice President Joe Biden has now officially accepted the nomination of the democratic party to be President of the United States.

You would think that after months of preparation knowing that this would happen, I would be beyond the point where it bothers me. But at this moment in time, I’ve begun to realize my frustration doesn’t come from a place of simply being disappointed. Rather, it stems from the fact that democrats have opted to coalesce around a candidate that they did not even like.

This genuinely doesn’t even have to do with Bernie. Of course, there’s a part of me that will never, ever forget the fact that after the tens of thousands of text messages I sent, the money donated, and the time and effort I and millions of other people contributed in order to help organize the Sanders campaign, Barack Obama was waiting for just the right moment to destroy everything that we had built and worked so hard for. On top of it, we’re told to sit down, shut up, be gracious in our “defeat”, and turn that energy towards electing Biden. Of course, there’s a part of me that will never get over the fact that democrats worked harder to stop a campaign that just wanted everyone to have decent wages and healthcare than they ever have to stop Donald Trump or the republican party, and I genuinely have not been the same since I watched it happen. All that being said however, I can’t help wondering about the consequences of doing all this just to effectively anoint a man who they never even had any confidence in to begin with.

Let’s not forget that Barack Obama intervened on behalf of a man who he had not even wanted to run in the first place, and reportedly said his ability to “f*ck things up” should not be underestimated. At the start of the campaign, there was no one who was able to deny that over twenty candidates had decided to run because they genuinely did not believe that Joe Biden would be able to handle not only the rigors of a general election, but more important the position of the Presidency. While of course they weren’t wrong, far more concerning is the fact that he has absolutely nothing to offer the American people on top of it. Not even a public healthcare option in the middle of a global health pandemic.

It was just six months ago that Joe Biden’s campaign was dead in the water, and the corporate democratic establishment had all but written him off entirely. There’s not a shadow of a doubt in my mind that if the alternative hadn’t been Bernie Sanders at the top of the ticket we would not be in the position we’re in today, with a candidate who can barely even be trusted to appear in public.

I just can’t shake the feeling that bad things are coming in November.

If anyone can bungle what should be a landslide victory against a President who was more concerned about his own re-election prospects than he was about the fact that hundreds of thousands of people lost their lives due to his failures, it would be the modern democratic party. The American people are quite literally faced with a choice between Republicans and Republican-lite, and polls are already beginning to reflect a lack of enthusiasm about the options.

What Joe Biden’s supporters still fail to understand is that Bernie’s base does not owe them, or the Biden campaign anything. We put in the work for a movement we believed in, and now it’s their turn. They do not get to simply cry unity when they spent months comparing us to nazis, and are still ready and willing to blame the left if Biden does indeed lose. It’s past time for them to come to terms with the gravity of the situation, and the fact that their relentless, constant vote shaming they’ve once again readily adopted as a strategy is not working. The party has made its bed in selecting Biden, and now they will have to lie in it. If the situation is as dire as they insist it is, then it’s time for liberals to stop taking things for granted, pick up the phones, organize, and put in the effort.

Good call progressives......in two straight elections you’ve nominated the person most likely to be obliterated in the general by a former game show host!

fish - 3:34 - So it looks like what happened was that the Dem powers-that-be decided to push Biden to the front as the one that those nasty white racist voters would go for. Then at the same time run a side campaign trying to bring in the Bernie Bros with the same trick they did with Obama.
Folks like Paul fall for this shit every time.
If Biden wins, expect years of Emery saying "I only voted for him the first time".
C'mon, man!

Scott O

Don 4:11 - You do realize that only works in the soy-boy neighborhoods? Around here the women would kick their sorry asses to the curb and we men-folk would have to put down our adult beverages and mediate. "Now honey, let the poor man go - I think he's lost enough blood."
And "Damn, lady - you can stop shooting. He hasn't moved since the last 6 rounds".

Don Bessee

ScottO @419 Much like my neighborhood!!

So Todd continuing your line of thinking you are a supporter of QAnon because you are a supporter of Trump and he is on record as applauding and supporting them. Also you supported the counter demonstrators n Nevada City some of which were waving QAnon flags which according to your way of thinking makes you a QAnon supporter.

TRIGGER WARNING FOR THE TDS SET -

In terms of the Democratic talent pool showcased at their convention, it was expert swimmers, the Obamas, surrounded by a bunch of people who still need water wings. Despite a satisfactory delivery, Biden's acceptance speech was entirely written for people who already hate Trump and swoon over old reruns of "The West Wing." Is that enough?

One thing I’ve been wondering about Biden: would he be as insufferably arrogant as the Obamas can be? During her anti-Trump broadside, Michelle Obama said: “Now, I understand that my message won’t be heard by some people. We live in a nation that is deeply divided, and I am a Black woman speaking at the Democratic convention.”

Translation: If you don’t agree with everything I say, you are either stupid or racist. This attitude, which President Obama exuded for eight years, was part of why Trump won in 2016. Biden would be better off to find some humility in the Oval Office, as there has been none since George W. Bush left office.

But had Biden thought about her recent history — a miserable presidential campaign that never made it to Iowa, was rife with infighting, and was put out of its misery by Tulsi Gabbard, of all people — he might have thought better of it.

Harris’s speech Wednesday night was a mess. Attempts by Democrats to spin it otherwise reminded me of Republicans always characterizing Trump’s latest debacle as four-dimensional chess. Sometimes things just stink.

That sound is your BS detector screaming.

Nonetheless, the Democrats march on, desperate for any drink of water as they wander a post-Obama political desert. They presented no platform in the past week beyond “not Trump, with a side of empathy,” although I think their convention, given the COVID-related challenges, as executed well enough. They are hoping you don’t think too hard about the Green New Deal, massive tax increases and a further government takeover of your health care.

Which ticket will America choose? Biden is winning, sure, but if you think Trump can’t find a way out of the wilderness, think again.

Paul Emery - "If not you are a liar like your hero Trump."
Unlike Paul's hero - Biden.
Biden has never, ever lied -right Paul?
Right?
Oh, Paul?
I know - he's busy doing 'sound' somewhere and has no time to address the issue.

You support Trump and the counter demonstrators both of which support QAnon.

What is a verteran Todd? Can you send me a defination

paul emery

I get it,verteran is part of the QAnon secret language that you and other supporters share only with each other.

Don Bessee

Lookin like cognitive decline @445. What no thanks in advance??

So Scott, was Trump lying when he said about QAnon: “I’ve heard these are people that love our country, So I don’t know really anything about it other than they do supposedly like me.”

Paul 4:56 - That's hardly responsive to my query, Paul.
In the first place - how in the world am I supposed to know what Trump knows about QAnon?
You don't know and I don't know so what are you ranting about?
Now back to Biden. Remember him? Your choice for POTUS?
He's a proven liar over and over.
Slanders an innocent man.
Cribs from other pols for his speeches.
Fabricates his scholastic achievements.
What a great guy!
Have you seen the vids of him fondling a young girl's nipple?
Nice.
Yeah - we know - you're only going to vote for him the once.

Trump admitted his support of QAnon. I've provided links

Trump will win any liars competition hands down Scott and when it comes to abusing women just ask the at least 25 women who have made official complaints about him.

Here's some details:

"Donald Trump has made 20,000 false or misleading claims while in office, according to the Washington Post, which identified a “tsunami of untruths” emanating from the Oval Office.

The paper’s Fact Checker column said Trump hit the milestone on 9 July, a day on which he delivered 62 such claims."

And as far as women making claims of abuse there is this:

The 25 women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct:

At least 25 women have accused President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct since the 1970s.
Renewed attention was brought to the allegations amid the #MeToo movement and a national conversation concerning sexual misconduct.
Trump has repeatedly denied the accusations, denouncing his accusers as "liars."
In June 2019, columnist E. Jean Carroll accused President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her by forcing his penis inside her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the mid-1990s.

YOU can see all the allegations on this web site:

Its the same ol same ol from the socialist dems say their own -

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks said that one thing the Democratic National Convention “did not do is go to the heart of this electorate, which is working-class voters in the Upper Midwest. It’s sort of mind-boggling to me.”

He continued, “What they did not do is go to the heart of this electorate, which is working-class voters in the Upper Midwest. It’s sort of mind-boggling to me. In 2016, Hillary Clinton made a colossal error by ignoring those voters in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan and such places. And if the Democrats lose those states again, the indictment — and a correct indictment — will be that they made the exact same mistake in 2020 as they made in 2016. And I think it’s just because they don’t have the vocabulary or the cultural knowledge to know how to talk to those voters. I just think there are not enough people in the Democratic Party who emerge from those communities and know what concerns them and know how to talk to them.”

Brooks also criticized Democrats for not mentioning China enough.

Paul Emery supports the communists trying to overthrow America. I am amazed he has a job in this free country since a DJ in some other state just got fired for saying Kamala is a "colored gal". Oh my! Worse to be honest than WOKE like PE.

Paul Emery

What is a Todd? Good question Bill. Eve Todd doesn't know what he is. I always knew him as an old time Republican but the Republicans don't exist anymore so he's attached himself to this carnival barker Trump as his only option. The real Republicans have long since jumped ship but Todd has been completely suckered in by this lying con man and his grifter friends and family. Sad. Once he was actually County Supervisor and a legitimate representative of his community which has long since died off or drifted Norty .

Sp Even Todd...

No Scott, Todd does not have a drinking problem as far as I know.
