[Businesses and taxpayers are leaving California, the census stats tell the tale that almost all CA leftwingers deny, especially the really dense local ones. Recent notable departures are conservative commentators Joe Rogan (moved to Texas) and Ben Shapiro, who is taking his small business with 70 employees to Nashville – he tells his story here. Even the very liberal Bill Maher when interviewing Rep Schiff takes him to task for the California exodus (more here), and cites a litany of butt stupid Democrat policies (more recent ones here) starting with high taxes and regs, and going all the way down to crap and needles on sidewalks populated by the tents of the untouchable indigents. Schiff can only manage a lame, ‘I see no reason why progressives and businesses cannot coexist, we should work on that.’ Well no s#!t Red Ryder. And our local lights of the Left continue denying the whole thing. gjr]

Todd, for there to be an apology, one must admit he is wrong. The smoking gun is in Trump’s taxes or because The Walrus John Bolton did not deliver the goods for the impeachment inquiry, or because did not kick Putin on the world stage in Helsinki, or....... How can one apoligize when he knows he is right. It’s only a conspiracy theory until proven correct. We were proven correct with each passing day. Some, on the other hand, keep hoping they will be proven correct. Hope Burns eternal.
Further more, if one cannot/will not/ admit to himself he was wrong, then there is not need to say, “I was wrong.” And if someone admits they were wrong, then they would have to change that aspect of behavior and broken thinking....assuming they posses the necessary element of honesty. Some folks are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves. A great mystery. The unfortunates, if you will.
So, all you can expect, Todd, is something like this: “I was within the margin of error” in the 2016 popular vote.” Within the margin of error? In the electoral vote? What about all those 0ct, 2016 posts?
Pride indeed is a prison. Mix in a dose of TDS, and you have ‘the unfortunates.’

I took a few hours off yesterday only to find that Trump is a co-conspirator in some kidnapping plot and Nancy brings up the 25th amendment for the 25th time. Rust never sleeps.
‘THE GRETCHEN WHITMER BLAME GAME [UPDATED]’
The FBI has accused Michigan militia members of plotting to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. The kidnapping was to be part of a wider plan to overthrow several state governments believed by militia members to be violating the Constitution, according to the FBI.
Whitmer, her fellow Democrats, and their media allies are blaming President Trump for inciting the militia lunatics. Whitmer repeated the falsehood that Trump has refused to condemn white supremacists. Others cited Trump’s criticism of Whitmer’s insanely stringent shutdown of Michigan’s economy, including a tweet that said “liberate Michigan.”
“Words have consequences” is the mantra of those trying to score political points off of the militiamen escapade.
Words do have consequences. But using this truism to condemn unintended consequences of words is a dangerous game — one that threatens freedom of speech and facilitates tyranny.
Whitmer’s words, blaming Trump for a kidnapping plot against her, might have bad consequences. They might incite a lunatic to retaliate by trying to kill Trump or a member of his family. Recall the attempt by a left-wing Bernie Sanders supporter to assassinate more than a dozen GOP House members at a baseball practice.
In fact, four years of left-wing rhetoric have created the possibility of violence against Republican leaders. A person stupid enough to believe the left’s claim that Trump is owned by the Russians might also be crazy enough to plot to kill him“

There is no evidence for any of those gratuitous assertions for the organizations you cite. But you can be sure of one thing, we fear you and yours way more than you claim to fear us. We know what our fate is should you guys ever get absolute power; you have already shown us that over the last century plus. And in turn, our gift to you will be a prosperous and free land that continues to be the most racially just country that indeed does provide equal opportunity to all. The people dying to get across our borders legally and illegally attest to that year after year.

Walter E Williams, human being, says:
“The recognition of the intellectual elite attacking free speech is not new. In a 1991 speech, Yale University President Benno Schmidt warned: "The most serious problems of freedom of expression in our society today exist on our campuses. The assumption seems to be that the purpose of education is to induce correct opinion rather than to search for wisdom and to liberate the mind."
Tyrants everywhere, from the Nazis to the communists, started out supporting free speech rights. Why? Because speech is important for the realization of leftist goals of command and control. People must be propagandized, proselytized and convinced. Once leftists have gained power, as they have in most of our colleges and universities, free speech becomes a liability. It challenges their ideas and agenda and must be suppressed.
Attacks on free speech to accommodate multiculturalism and diversity are really attacks on Western values, which are superior to all others. The indispensable achievement of the West was the concept of individual rights, the idea that individuals have certain inalienable rights that are not granted by government. Governments exist to protect these inalienable rights. It took until the 17th century for that idea to arise and mostly through the works of English philosophers such as John Locke and David Hume. And now the 21st century campus leftists are trying to suppress these inalienable rights.“”

“In recent years, Canadians have heard a lot about “indigenizing the academy,” a vague term that doesn’t yet have any fixed meaning. With Dalhousie’s pronouncement, we get a good look at what such indigenizing efforts might mean in practice: censorship of viewpoints deemed offside of Indigenous political demands. And yet it is also interesting to note that, once you strip away the fine words about reconciliation and community outreach, the university’s ideological diktat also happens to look a lot like ordinary corporate branding: The first sentence of the quoted text makes clear that Dalhousie is seeking to publicly position itself in a certain light, and so it would be unhelpful if anyone connected to the university went off-script.”

While the sniveling rains down upon us from the TDS set in the real world momentous things are happening that only the prez could have done -
Are Saudi Arabia's rulers, historically critics of Israel and its treatment of the Palestinians, finally edging closer to normalising relations with the country often dismissively referred to in the past by Arab media as "the Zionist entity"?
Prompting feverish speculation on social media has been the scathing set of interviews given to Al-Arabiya TV by former Saudi intelligence chief and longtime ambassador to Washington, Prince Bandar Bin Sultan al-Saud, who lambasted Palestinian leaders for criticising recent peace moves with Israel by Gulf Arab states.
"This low level of discourse is not what we expect from officials who seek to gain global support for their cause," said Prince Bandar in the three-part interview.
"Their [Palestinian leaders'] transgression against the Gulf states' leadership with this reprehensible discourse is entirely unacceptable."
How, he argued, referring to the split between the Palestinian Authority, which governs in the West Bank, and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which holds power in Gaza, can Palestinians possibly reach a fair deal when their leaders cannot even agree among themselves?
Such words, said a Saudi official close to the ruling family, would not have been aired on Saudi-owned television without the prior approval of both King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
By choosing Prince Bandar, a veteran diplomat and longstanding pillar of the Saudi royal establishment to deliver them, said the official, it was the clearest sign yet that the Saudi leadership may be preparing its population for an eventual deal with Israel.
It does seem that both by Prince Bandar's words and by quietly endorsing the recent UAE and Bahraini normalisations with Israel, the Saudi leadership is moving rather faster towards rapprochement with Israel than much of its own population.

Harris' and Biden's refusal to answer the court packing query not only tells us their plans in the matter, it also tells us something much more important.
By refusing to state, they also admit that they are ashamed of the idea and know that it violates the Constitution. After all, if it were in any way a good idea, they would be loudly endorsing- even promising- its immediate implementation.
I believe the term of art is 'guilty knowledge.'

Remember way back when to less than two weeks ago???
‘Biden Says Antifa Is ‘An Idea, Not An Organization’ during Presidential Debate’
-Biden and Wallace pressed the president to specifically condemn white supremacists and the far-right group the Proud Boys to which Trump said, “Proud Boys stand back and stand by, but I’ll tell you what, somebody’s gotta do something about Antifa and the Left because this is not a right-wing problem.”
The former vice president countered in saying that Trump’s “own FBI director said the threat comes from white supremacists — Antifa is an idea, not an organization, not militias, that’s what his FBI director said.”
The Bureau’s director Chris Wray told lawmakers earlier this month that Antifa is an ideology or a movement, not an organization, but said that activists were a serious concern and that Antifa is a “real thing.”
Wray said the FBI had undertaken “any number of properly predicated investigations into what we would describe as violent anarchist extremists,” which included individuals who identity with Antifa.
Trump, who has said he would designate Antifa as a terror group, said the FBI director’s assessment is wrong and added, “when a bat hits you over the head that’s not an idea. Antifa is bad.”
“Antifa is a dangerous radical group and you ought to be careful with them, they’ll overthrow you,” Trump concluded.

After Ratcliffe published these documents, we were no longer hearing much about disinformation. Now the talking point became: Well, there was nothing criminal in what Clinton did; she was simply worried about a potentially corrupt conspiracy between Trump and Putin — and who wouldn’t be?
Right . . . worried based on absolutely zero evidence. There was not a shred of proof that Donald Trump and his campaign had any foreknowledge of, much less complicity in, the suspected Russian hack of DNC emails. That, you may remember, was the sinkhole on which the collusion farce was constructed.

Sounds like something we heard before @514 -
This poll describes the current contest; it's not remotely close enough to Election Day to be predictive of the outcome. Look no further than 2016: Hillary Clinton held a 12-point lead on Oct. 22, 17 days before the election, following sexual assault allegations against Trump and disclosure of his lewd comments on the "Access Hollywood" tape. That contracted to Trump up by 1 point eight days later, as GOP voters set aside their doubts and returned to his ranks, and Clinton up by 2 points a week before the election.
Trump, moreover, has ammunition: 54% now approve of his handling of the economy, the most since March (albeit by a single percentage point). In contrast with his deficit on the pandemic, he continues to run essentially even with Biden in trust to handle the economy, 48%-47%.

They let him out of the basement and he forgot what he said -
Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden slammed President Donald Trump on Saturday for shutting down the economy, a move he himself said he would make if “scientists” recommended it.
Speaking to a reporter in Erie, Pennsylvania, Biden was asked if he would support a “nation-wide shutdown,” and he replied, “No, look, he’s the guy that shut it down,” referring to Trump.
Let’s get this straight, he shut it down,” Biden said with disdain.
That is a reversal from August, when Biden told ABC News he would shut down the economy.
“I would shut it down. I would listen to the scientists.”
Joe Biden tells @DavidMuir in an exclusive interview that as president, he would shut the country down to stop the spread of COVID-19 if the move was recommended by scientists. https://abcn.ws/31iFYHT

Poll porn for Punchy
THE FUNDAMENTALS VS THE POLLS
"One of Joe Biden’s campaign themes is a “return to normalcy.” He means a return to the days when the Swamp ruled supreme, when politicians like Biden enriched themselves and their families while selling out the interests of the American people. But many voters are so tired of the endless hysteria of the last four years that they are willing to vote for Biden simply to bring it to an end. The howling two-year-old may be about to get its way.
To some extent, President Trump and his administration can be faulted for not fighting back effectively enough. For instance, it is hard to understand why it took four years to get to the bottom of Hillary Clinton’s Russia fraud. And now we have the announcement that John Durham’s investigation will not be completed until after the election–too little, too late. In part, this difficulty likely reflects the fact that a Republican president does not actually control much of the executive branch. And, in any event, can we imagine a different Republican fighting the Swamp harder or more effectively than Donald Trump has done?
In the end, if President Trump loses the current election, the lesson will be that one man can’t successfully take on the entire establishment. Trump fought the press, the schools, the dominant tech companies, the Chinese and Russians and those who are in their pockets, the anti-Israel lobby, the no-borders interests, the entertainment industry, the public sector unions, the greedy “green” interests, the useless career politicians like Joe Biden. The American people benefited, but it may prove to have been too much. The president’s epitaph might be: Trump fought the Swamp, and the Swamp won.
But who knows? It’s not over yet. Maybe this bizarre year has another surprise or two in store for us."

'The New York Times Guild Once Again Demands Censorship Of Colleagues'
The Union demanded “sensitivity readers” for their colleagues. Now they’re angry that a columnist wrote about a major controversy.
When journalists exploit their unions not for better pay, improved benefits, enhanced job security or greater journalistic independence but instead as an instrument for censoring their own journalistic colleagues, then the concept of unions — and journalism — is wildly perverted.

Oh Paul, if you only knew. It looks like you're the only one here whose personal life rises and falls with the poll numbers.
My life does not revolve around the inhabitant of the White House.
The 'sad' news I'm seeing involves the destruction of the Republic by the very people and institutions whose job it is to uphold it.
The schools, corporations and disseminators of information are folding to the mob of totalitarians. Increasingly our citizens are turning away from freedom and daring in the feeble hope of constant care and comfort from outside entities. The govt is more a result or symptom of our nation's malaise.
The clash of cultures will not be solved by the election of anyone.
Your 'sad news' is just noise, Paul. The real sad news is all around us tucked away in the back pages of the newspapers or buried in the small print of the latest policy paper.

I apologize. It appears that election fraud is a problem especially here in California:
‘Appalling criminal conduct’: California GOP accused of operating fake ‘official’ ballot drop boxes
California’s top election official is investigating reports that the state’s Republican Party has set up unauthorized ballot drop boxes posing as “official” in several major counties, an illegal practice that could deceive voters into depositing their ballots at unsecure locations.
“Operating unofficial ballot drop boxes—especially those misrepresented as official drop boxes—is not just misleading to voters, it’s a violation of state law,” California Secretary of State Alex Padilla said in a statement responding to reports of unauthorized ballot drop boxes in Fresno, Los Angeles, and Orange counties.
“California Republicans are allegedly creating fake drop boxes and tricking voters into depositing their ballots in them. Apparently they’re trying to prove voter fraud is real by committing actual election fraud.”

Grim details:
RCP has Biden up 10.9. That's is his highest number since (hold your breath!) Sept 2019. Trump down to 41.7, his lowest in three months
Nate Silver gives Trump 13 chances out of a hundred. He had double that , 26 chances, on election day against Hillary in '16 Also he gives Biden a 319-163 lead in electoral votes in 270TOWIN meaning Trump has to win all the 56 tossups plus flip 52 delegates now in the Biden total.
270 to win, as a result of their consensus polling, gives Biden 298 to Trumps 163 with 85 tossups. That means in order to win Trump has to win ALL the tossups plus flip 23 now in Bidens camp.
Hope you appreciate the research I've done for this blog.

Walt, that was then this is now. Besides, the polling showed Clinton up by 4 in the General election. She actually ended up by 2.3 so they were pretty accurate. Currently Biden is up by 10.2 which sould far overide any electorate whortage because it wou reflect an increase in the states Hillary barely lost. That's electionology (my word) 101.
The fact is Trump is still falling in the polls so until you see a reversal in that forget about a Trump win. He is also winning handily in the rust belt States that were the difference in '16
Pennsylvania October 12th 51.0 43.9 Biden +7.1
Michigan October 12th 50.0 43.0 Biden +7.0
Wisconsin October 12th 49.7 43.6 Biden +6.1
Also currently up in Florida 3.7 and Arizona is leaning Biden
Remember, Trump needs to win ALL these states to pull off a win.
