[I’ve been writing about the contrary Covid counsels coming from science, with each political side finding plenty to support their respective positions on correct response policies. Isn’t it a bitch now that the Europeans, held up by our Left as the paragons practicing proper pandemic public policies, are now also suffering the resurgence of Covid cases no matter how much they lockdown or not, distance or not, wear masks or not? Brings out a chuckle or two when I note how the lamestream is trying to hide all this from their double dummies. gjr]
Looking good! -
Similarly, Trump’s championing of American manufacturing, as well as his opposition to free trade, struck a chord with not only blue-collar workers, but with union members as well. In 2016, Trump did better among union members than any Republican since Ronald Reagan, losing the demographic to Clinton by only eight points.
Since entering the White House, Trump’s appeal to union members appears to have not diminished. Internal polling from North America’s Building Trades Unions, publicized by Politico in September, found Trump behind former Vice President Joe Biden by one percentage point (47 percent to 48 percent) among the union’s members in six key swing states.

OCTOBER SUPRISE IS HERE BABY! -
The email includes a note that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.” A proposed equity split references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” with no further details.
Bobulinski’s statement would be the first on-record confirmation of this from a source in the Biden universe. Bobulinski said:
What I am outlining is fact. I know it is fact because I lived it. I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to ‘the Big Guy’ in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden. The other ‘JB’ referenced in that email is Jim Biden, Joe’s brother.
Screenshots published by the New York Post indicate that Bobulinski was one of the recipients of the email in question. The email was authored by James Gilliar of the consulting firm J2cR. Now that Bobulinski is publicly confirming the authenticity of this email, which, again, he was the recipient of, that furthers the story significantly, and Joe Biden’s presidential campaign does not deny their authenticity.
That email was one of many that the New York Post published from Hunter Biden’s laptop. Others include emails where Hunter Biden described getting a meeting for Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma executives with his father during his time as Vice President.
The emails have rocked the presidential campaign in the final weeks of the race, and Biden has called them a “smear” campaign against him.
Twitter and Facebook, when the New York Post first published the emails, censored the content. Twitter originally–following Facebook’s lead–censored links to the original Post stories as “unsafe,” but later reversed course after backlash. The New York Post has been locked out of its Twitter account for several days since the story was published.
Facebook, meanwhile, said it was preemptively holding back traffic to the stories until its fact-checkers weighed in–a rare step:
It is funny that some of the people that complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing intelligence. And, unfortunately, in this case, it is Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who, as you pointed out, said on Friday the intelligence community believes that Hunter Biden’s laptop and the emails on it are part of some Russian disinformation campaign.
Let me be clear: The intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. We have shared no intelligence with chairman Adam Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign. It’s simply not true.
Bobulinski, the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings and a Biden insider, bolsters that case by speaking up. In his statement, he insists that is not “any form of domestic or foreign disinformation” and that he comes from a military family where he, his father, and his grandfather all served in the U.S. Navy. He also says that he has no “political ax to grind,” and that the only politicians he has donated to over the years are Democrats.
“I am the grandson of a 37 year Army Intelligence officer, the son of a 20+ year career Naval Officer and the brother of a 28 year career Naval Flight Officer,” Bobulinski said. “I myself served our country for 4 years and left the Navy as LT Bobulinski. I held a high level security clearance and was an instructor and then CTO for Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. I take great pride in the time my family and I served this country. I am also not a political person. What few campaign contributions I have made in my life were to Democrats.”
Bobulinski is the second longtime business associate of Hunter Biden to publicly turn against the Biden family in recent days. He joins Bevan Cooney, who turned over to Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer and journalist Matthew Tyrmand a total of 26,000 emails, in flipping against the Bidens. Cooney is currently serving a sentence in federal prison in Oregon for a conviction over deals he and other Hunter Biden business partners made in connection with Native American tribal investments. As Breitbart News reported on Tuesday night, Cooney was moved from his cell earlier this week–but Bureau of Prisons officials refused to comment on the matter citing the safety and security of prisoners.
Statement -
What I am outlining is fact. I know it is fact because I lived it. I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to “the Big Guy” in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden. The other “JB” referenced in that email is Jim Biden, Joe’s brother.
Hunter Biden called his dad ‘the Big Guy’ or ‘my Chairman,’ and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing. I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business. I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.
I realized the Chinese were not really focused on a healthy financial ROI. They were looking at this as a political or influence investment. Once I realized that Hunter wanted to use the company as his personal piggy bank by just taking money out of it as soon as it came from the Chinese, I took steps to prevent that from happening.
The Johnson Report connected some dots in a way that shocked me — it made me realize the Bidens had gone behind my back and gotten paid millions of dollars by the Chinese, even though they told me they hadn’t and wouldn’t do that to their partners.
I would ask the Biden family to address the American people and outline the facts so I can go back to being irrelevant — and so I am not put in a position to have to answer those questions for them.
I don’t have a political ax to grind; I just saw behind the Biden curtain and I grew concerned with what I saw. The Biden family aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from foreign entities even though some were from communist controlled China.

Hunter, Hillary, Comey, Rudy and his Ukraine Detective Agency, FBI Russian influence investigations - all nothing burgers.

I'm too old and tired to read the whole deal but went through a chunk.
My take-away is admiring how a well-coached interviewee speaks. The rather evil part of all this, and of course Maxwell is something of a sleeze, is that a lot of the point of this is not to find the truth but to catch someone in a lie.
The insanity of the Flynn situation really made this stick out to me. There's something perverse about a system of justice that works like that.

For educational purposes only:
"...
Antifa’s tactic is to provoke the police into an act of violence on camera so the activists can then claim they are being oppressed. From everything I saw of the police — including being cleared from an alleyway at gunpoint along with a dozen or so Antifa activists — I would say that most US federal agents have the patience of saints.
Still the image comes to mind of the elephant brought down by the smaller predators. America is not being brought low by one beast, but by a whole pack of them. These predators include, though are not limited to: ignorance, educational failure, radical indoctrination, pandemic, poverty, narcissism, boredom, the disappearance of the adults, a belief that law enforcement is the enemy and much more. Why America didn’t throw off the first attacker and keep on moving is a question I cannot shake off, whether this pack brings the big beast crashing down or not.

Daily quotes.
Insight: “The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them.” —Patrick Henry (1736-1799)
Upright I: “People see Biden as unifying and Trump as divisive because they wrongly believe mean words have more power than evil ideologies.” —Allie Beth Stuckey
Upright II: “Those who think Biden can unify us simply don’t understand the nature of the radical leftism the new Dem party represents. Deconstruction and division, tearing down and tearing apart, are its only capabilities. It has no capacity to unite or build.” —Allie Beth Stuckey
Upright III: “Most people simply didn’t notice (and still won’t admit) that the identity politics of the Obama era wreaked havoc on us as a nation. They think we became divided when Trump became president. Not so.” —Allie Beth Stuckey
Prescient: “The problem Democrats are facing in this race is that, if Joe Biden is the nominee, Hunter Biden becomes ‘Hillary Clinton’s emails’.” —former Democrat Senator Robert Torricelli in October of 2019, with a political threat assessment that is now proving true
For the record: “Hillary Clinton paid for Russian disinformation, Russia and China bought off the Biden family, Iran used the Lincoln Project to peddle disinformation to hurt Trump, while Twitter is censoring GOP fundraising links, the New York Post, and the President of the United States.” —Sean Davis
Belly laugh of the week: “With Joe and Kamala at the helm, you’re not going to have to think about the crazy things they said every day.” —Barack Obama (Has he even met Joe Biden?)
The BIG Lie: “We literally left this White House a pandemic playbook. They probably used it to, I don’t know, prop up a wobbly table somewhere.” —Barack Obama
Non compos mentis: “The economic damage he inflicted by botching the pandemic response means he will be the first president since Herbert Hoover to lose jobs.” —Barack Obama
And last… “Final debate drinking rules: Each time Trump refers to Biden as ‘Big Guy,’ take a shot. I hope to be pickled a half hour in!” —Mark Alexander

We're had 13 rounds of the Presidential fight. Biden is well ahead on points and Trump, the slugger has failed to land a big punch for two months. TROLLS must be drinking heavy, and passing the bong to ease the sting from last night.
Lie'n Biden sure had issues with the truth and facts.
Some of his excuses were as stale as D-'s. Like the excuse of
"russian disinformation".. Debunked last week by the FBI.

I ran into this a couple of days ago, but didn't see anyone mention it.
"US national security officials say Iran was responsible for sending threatening emails to Democratic voters ahead of next month's presidential election.
The emails appeared to come from a far-right pro-Trump group and were meant to "incite unrest", National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe said."

Topsy turvy world. If the Left accuses you of a thing (Russian collusion, graft, graffiti on a church), it's always them who actually did it. It's pretty much a fact of life anymore.
Why? Because most of them, regardless of age, are poorly behaved children.

‘Trump Secures Third Historic Middle East Peace Deal, This Time With Sudan’
Sudan will be removed from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list and will begin a partnership with the United States and Israel, President Donald Trump announced on Friday.
“HUGE win today for the United States and for peace in the world. Sudan has agreed to a peace and normalization agreement with Israel! With the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, that’s THREE Arab countries to have done so in only a matter of weeks. More will follow!” he tweeted.

Boy, that Trump can out work anybody. An animal, for sure. If Trump wins the election again, it’s cause he outworked his OpenTable, his opponents teams, the media, and all the Kings horses and all the Kings men....and nasty women walking around in big vagina costume.

FOREIGN POLICY? WHAT’S THAT?
Some presidential elections have been dominated by foreign policy issues. Not this one. In fact, has it even been mentioned in either of the two presidential debates? Does Joe Biden ever talk about it? Scott Adams comments:
“How would you like to run for president against an incumbent who did so well on foreign policy that the debates don't even need to include that topic? That's actually happening.”
It is foreign policy where the President reigns supreme. Most talk about what a presidential candidate will do if elected–raise taxes by $4 trillion!–is hypothetical at best, since presidents propose legislation, but Congress enacts it. Or doesn’t.
And yet, foreign policy apparently is not even an issue in this year’s campaign. To some degree, this may be due to a tendency among Americans to be insular, and not to worry about foreign policy unless something is going wrong. Like a war. But mostly, I think it is due to the liberal media’s determination not to give President Trump credit for anything, combined with its inability to criticize his foreign policy record.

Quotes and a meme, a smoke and some pancakes.
Insight: “It is not the business of government to make men virtuous or religious, or to preserve the fool from the consequences of his own folly. Government should be repressive no further than is necessary to secure liberty by protecting the equal rights of each from aggression on the part of others, and the moment governmental prohibitions extend beyond this line they are in danger of defeating the very ends they are intended to serve.” —Henry George (1839-1897)
Nailed it: “‘We can’t vote for [Amy Coney Barrett], because our radical base will get mad. We can’t vote against her because she’s immensely qualified and Americans actually like her. So we will just be dramatic juveniles and not show up.’ That’s Senate Dems for ya.” —Rep. Dan Crenshaw
Sad, but true: “Joe Biden … lied about healthcare. He lied about his family taking in millions of dollars from foreign adversaries. He lied about asking congressional Democrats to pass more legislation that gets relief money to the unemployed during the pandemic. Fact-checking really is dead. That’s a good thing for Biden.” —Eddie Scarry
Dezinformatsiya: “We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions. And quite frankly, that’s where we ended up. This was … a politically driven event, and we decided to treat it that way.” —National Public Radio managing editor for news Terence Samuel on why NPR won’t cover the Biden Crime Family story
Nothing to see here… “I’m not answering those questions. … I don’t have all day.” —Nancy Pelosi on Hunter Biden
Pick a lane: “I don’t look at this in terms of what he does, blue states and red states. They’re all the United States. And look at the states that are having such a spike in the coronavirus. They’re the red states.” —Joe Biden
Non compos mentis: “We had a good relationship with Hitler before he in fact invaded Europe.” —Joe Biden
Belly laugh of the week: “I think we have to be very careful about any statements coming out about the election from the intelligence community.” —Nancy Pelosi, who impeached President Trump earlier this year over statements from the intelligence community
Lack of self-awareness: “Family separation is an unconscionable policy. 545 children are without their parents. The cruelty was always the point for the Trump administration.” —National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) (NARAL has advocated for the permanent separation of 60 million American babies from families since 1973.)
And last… “Just be honest and say you won’t report any stories that reflect poorly on Biden because you believe it’s so vital that Trump lose that anything is justified — including suppressing reporting — to ensure it happens. People know this is the reality of the national press. Why lie?” —Glenn Greenwald

Trump said we are turning the corner on Covid - what corner is that Sandtrap man?
"The United States hit an all-time high Friday in daily new coronavirus cases, surpassing the previous record set during a summer surge of cases across the Sun Belt.
Friday’s tally — the first above 80,000 — comes as many states break their records for new infections. The average number of covid-19 hospitalizations has jumped in at least 38 states over the past week, a trend that cannot be explained by more widespread testing, according to data tracked by The Washington Post."

The good news, nay, great news is that a whole group of folks under 65 are people testing positive for The Wuhan Virus and thus the dead rate is dropping. Excellent news, indeed. Hospitals can still handle the recent increase and a bunch more just in case there comes a worse case scenario.
Second wave not as deadly as the first wave which got the low hanging fruit. That fruit was already to drop from the tree before the Hong Kong Flu...or Flue.

WHEN YOU’VE LOST GENE SIMMONS . . .
“After a certain point it becomes wanton cruelty to keep dunking on California’s slow motion suicide, but some stories are too good to pass unremarked. Today’s Wall Street Journal reports that rocker Gene Simmons is KISS-ing California goodbye and moving to no-income tax Washington state, and in high KISS-my-ass style:
[Simmons] is now putting the property, which they later redeveloped into a sprawling European-style mansion, on the market for $22 million. The reason: They are moving to a 24-acre estate in Washington, near Mount Rainier, to escape the tax burden of living in California, Mr. Simmons said.
“California and Beverly Hills have been treating folks that create jobs badly and the tax rates are unacceptable,” he said. “I work hard and pay my taxes and I don’t want to cry the Beverly Hills blues but enough is enough.”
But California won’t be the same without him. How can such a person be replaced:“

Honestly, you ought to just be able to fire people for any old reason, but I can certainly understand this guy's approach.
"The CEO of Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, has devised an interesting strategy for getting rid of crusading SJW employees, like the rebellious workers creating headaches for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for not being "woke" enough.
Pay them to leave.
Citing an internal email to employees, CNBC's Kate Rooney reports that Armstrong offered employees severance packages of 4-6 months if they felt uncomfortable with the company's policy of political neutrality in the workplace. In the note, Armstrong cited "internal strife" at companies like Facebook and Alphabet as a threat to "value" at Coinbase."

BT 3:56 - I really liked this appraisal:
"The judges said in a 74-page ruling that Uber’s and Lyft’s misclassification caused irreparable harm to drivers who as independent contractors miss out on employee benefits."
"irreparable harm".
Funny how millions of self-employed Americans happily eschew those benefits and yet they don't seem harmed at all.
The drivers will be much better off in the future with no job at all.
Duh has a secret plan to pay them all a GMI paid for by "the rich".
I wonder when he'll let us all in on the details.

Maybe this chap was upset that Biden was thinking about somebody else for Secretary of Labor?
”What was Treisman’s motive? He must be one of those evil Proud Boys or crazy QAnon freaks we keep hearing so much about, right?
Wrong. But to find out the actual motive, you have to go all the way down to paragraph 15 of the WaPo story (emphasis mine):
The 19-year-old’s focus on Biden started in the spring, according to the order… Days after Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) suspended his presidential campaign, Treisman, who had suggested in a Reddit post that he had to “save bernie,” posted a meme with the caption questioning whether he should kill Biden.
Oh. He’s a Bernie Bro. He wanted to kill Biden to somehow help Bernie.
But you sure wouldn’t know that by reading the headline (“A 19-year-old with a van full of guns and explosives plotted to assassinate Biden, federal officials say”) or the first 14 paragraphs. Isn’t that kind of important?
No, it isn’t, because WaPo wants you to think a conservative or a right-winger or some other designated villain did it. That’s the game.
They all did the same thing in 2017 when a Bernie Bro named James T. Hodgkinson shot up a baseball field where some Republican congressmen were practicing. Steve Scalise was seriously wounded and almost killed. And the media bent over backwards to avoid mentioning that Hodgkinson was a staunch supporter of Bernie Sanders. Hell, within two months of the shooting, they had quit mentioning Hodgkinson at all.”

I wonder how the good people of Scranton feel about Joey Fingers abandoning them for easier pickings?
And, they are sort of hidden in plain sight. He's the Vice President, in the shadows of a glamorous, mysterious president, according to the media. Do you pay attention to the friend when there's a supermodel around? The media prefers Obama stories- finally! an articulate, clean black man! versus an "old" "boring" white man.
He's visibly sexually unboundaried: interest little girls isn't normal, yet he gropes them on film, in front of their families. Yet he's "invisible-ish" He's not an excellent phrasemaker, so you would not remember him speaking. He comes off as a bit coarse, poor and stupid. He doesn't really hold high profile jobs. His house is not an architectural wonder.
He is in Delaware, again home of quite a few inbred families reliant on their inherited money. Not the brightest candles on the birthday cake. He's in Delaware, right up close to all sorts of banking centers- big, obvious ones, and smaller, regional ones. Delaware has a small legislature: fewer people to bend.

R Cross: "his covid-19 plan"
Hint: No one has a 'COVID-19 Plan'.
Basically you are just changing the timeline of when everyone gets it or it evolves into nothingness. Remember mass shutdowns? The kerfuffle about respirators? To N-95 or not to N-95? People wearing bandanas like magic talismans? The likely non-existent vaccine elixir? The lack of interest in the economy in all of this?
Look at the ramp-up in Germany vs Sweden with utterly different approaches. The continuing increase worldwide regardless of what is done. Politically driven stats from China (ie. lies).
Listen, if this is just to put your man in office instead of Orange Hitler, I can respect that. Truth and morality were never much part of politics. If you seriously think that there's some wondrous 'Biden Plan' that's better than the evil 'Trump Plan', I would suggest reconsidering the posish.
Posted by: scenes | 24 October 2020 at 09:09 AM
"I wonder how the good people of Scranton feel about Joey Fingers abandoning them for easier pickings?"
I figure that it must burn Trump's ass to be on the opposite side of the deal.
Biden is the sort of guy he used to have to pay off to get anything done.
It's generally a good question in government, do you prefer having a briber or a grifter in office? US foreign policy consists of a mixture of bribery and bombing, although Trump is not much a of a bomber, so it's possible that the nuances of the thing are best left to someone like him.
God knows we've had enough grifters.
Posted by: scenes | 24 October 2020 at 09:15 AM
moi: "Hint: No one has a 'COVID-19 Plan'."
Another completely laughable thing is the concept of a national plan, whether it's the evil 'Trump Plan' or the fantabulous 'Biden Plan'.
Here's the 'Scenes Plan'. Have a couple of practical people from the executive branch gin up a 50 page document on measures that work and example tactics and tables (perhaps useless, but why not). Leave a phone number for dire emergencies, probably for cash.
Send them out to all the counties nationally. Have the local people do as they please. Ask the counties to publish the case/death statistics every month or so. Maybe a smart graduate student would look for interesting outliers.
The idea that Washington DC can invent a 'Plan' for New York City and Mound City, South Dakota is probably the most f'in stupid thing I've heard in my adult lifetime.

scenes 9:09 - "Listen, if this is just to put your man in office instead of Orange Hitler, I can respect that. Truth and morality were never much part of politics."
That's it in a nutshell. It's always been about getting rid of Trump. Russia, Covid, lying, immorality...
Russia turned out to be worse than nothing - it was a cover up for what the Dems were up to as well as weaponizing the FBI to destroy innocent citizens.
The Covid hysteria was clearly BS from the start. The Dems did whatever they could to get the cases and death counts up early on.
Then bitch about a lack of a 'national' plan without any of their own to offer.
Lying? The Biden/Harris campaign is nothing but a pack of lies.
Immorality? Oh, Trump is evil because he does what Kennedy and MLK Jr did. Turns out the Dems are the pervs.
Nothing like exhibitionism and underage kiddies gets the left excited.
It turns out the whole lefty/Dem screaming about Trump is nothing more than Alinsky's plan on steroids. Always accuse the opposition of doing what you are actually up to.
The Dems are voting for what they have complained about for 4 years.
Enjoy!
