George Rebane
With the election over and unknown thousands of votes yet to be discovered, counted, and adjudicated, we have entered a virgin and wild land untrammeled in our history. Having arrived therein, today we are literally a polarized population of pioneers who see the other as savages to be subdued. Common ground for launching a healing dialogue was forsaken long ago.
Reminding readers that these pages contain ‘Observations and Interpretations from the Last Great Century of Man’, we now begin in earnest to witness and partake in our country’s dissolution – the Great Divide has arrived, what remains is how we can go forward to a mutually satisfactory political solution that describes the form and functions of a newly divided continent. If we cannot resolve this peacefully, then we may have our country’s first true civil war in which both sides wish to take over and rule the entire land.
History students understand that the conflagration of 1860-65 was not a civil war, as it is erroneously described today. In reality it was a War for Southern Independence launched by secessionist states that had no desire to ‘take over’ the United States of America. Were violence to be our fate, then one can foresee a similarly purposed conflict with the Right wanting to secede, and the Left opposing secession with the force of arms. That is a political asymmetry the Left has refused to acknowledge, as it vigorously opposes its natural outcome.
The Right wants to live in a land where it can practice its values of liberty, freedom, enterprise, and capitalism. The Right has no desire to force other people to adopt their values and mores. The Left, as the perpetual hatchery of totalitarian regimes, will force everyone it can control to adopt and practice its ideology, even if that necessitates a vast gulag and re-education camps. The Left has demonstrated again its perennial practice of soiling its existing nests, and then emigrating to unspoiled regions and communities to repeat the process. There is no evidence of emigrations in the opposite direction; the people of the Right continue to escape to a shrinking collection of unspoiled pastures with the vain hope that they will not be followed. It is anyone’s guess how long this pattern of migrations can continue.
The election of 2020 is yet to be decided, but the outlook for Republicans does not look good. I assess President Trump’s chance of being re-elected at less than 5%. The only hope for America dodging the fundamental transformation bullet for the near term is that Republicans retain the Senate, and that SCOTUS will revert to a strong constitutionalist bench in adjudicating the blizzard of cases it will encounter. With a Republican Senate under Majority Leader Mitch, we can hope for blockage of the most egregious socialist GND legislation that will issue from Speaker Pelosi’s House. Under the Harris/Biden administration gridlock will be good.
What disturbs (terrifies?) me the most is the fraction of the electorate that support a fundamental transformation of our Republic from the historical country of Makers to a country of government promoted Takers. This is the key attribute that illustrates our divided house, and therefore portends the Great Divide. None of our leading thinkers ensconced in their Institutions of Thinking has a clue on how to stop the ever-widening chasm so well illustrated this week, let alone providing even a rough outline for bringing us back close enough to preserve the Union. I say this because the Takers have been taught to believe that the only means to reduce their pain – real, imagined, or self-inflicted – is to have government take more from the Makers. As has been shown in so many other countries passing through socialism, there always comes a time when the Makers quit making.
The 2022 election will respond to whatever pain the Democrats inflict on the country. Even though fewer Republican Senate seats will be up for grabs, the solution of inducing more Makers to make more is not on any progressive horizon. If the Senate flips to the dark side, then Nellie bar the door; even a conservative SCOTUS on the way to the packing house will be of no help. This election, now going for the bumblebrain and socialist-in-waiting, demonstrates that we Americans no longer have the collective wisdom to preserve our liberties or our land of the free. Once a political monopoly is established at the federal level, it will take the country down the trail so visibly blazed by California and its like-minded coastal calamities. What happens then is anyone’s guess, but for sure it will not be pretty.
During this tendentious week, my final wish is that President Trump will act presidential when this election’s dust settles. And if he must depart, that he does so with newfound dignity and decorum, that were it practiced more frequently during his years in office would have guaranteed him a second term.
[7nov20 update] "Joe Biden is Elected the 46th U.S. President"
"The Right has no desire to force other people to adopt their values and mores. " Laughable. But I wouldn't expect less from Rebane clutching at straws as the cart he hitched his pony to is sinking into the mud..
A woman's right to choose? School prayer (Christians only, thank you)? A person'r right to smoke marijuana? State liquor stores closed on the Sabbath? . . . no desire to force other people to adopt their values and mores?

Look at the bright side... Biden/Harris and the Democratic Party should be careful with what they wish for, they may get it.
They will be holding the bag on Wuhan SARS and on the economy.

Gregory 1218pm - My fear is that it will again be the DNC's lamestream media that will assure the country as to who winds up holding which bag. I see nothing beneficial happening from here on out that would change the MO of what used to be journalism and our Fourth Estate. They have the nation by the balls, and there is no reason that they should let go. Look at the alternative reality they created just this year in the minds of at least half the country.

"The Right has no desire to force other people to adopt their values and mores."
Really? The "Right" has no desire to force people not to practice post-natal abortion on demand? It worked in ancient Athens, didn't it? Why not give people time to see what this baby will be like?
I think the Fourth Estate has eaten much of its seed corn in this election in its zeal to get Trump, whether Biden or Trump are left standing in the end... and they are not swimming in cash. I imagine even if Trump is down and out on a short count, that there's quite a lot of mischief that can be made by Trump and his lawyers.

walt... it has less to do with "proggys" and more to do with half the people really disliking President Trump.
For a number of years I've had a soft spot in my heart for Richard Milhous Nixon... not for any act in office (outside of a very touching limo ride talking Football with the only certified sports nut in the press pool of the '72 Campaign, Hunter S. Thompson, lovingly recalled in Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail), but for his sparing of the country when the 1960 election was stolen out from underneath him by the Daly Machine in Chicago... he thought it wasn't worth tearing up the country.
A lotta good it's done him in the ensuing years. Not.
Trump is capable of making a big stink, and if there's stinking piles in Wisconsin,AZ, PA or anywhere else, by all means, get them out in the open by all legal means at his disposal. The people who hate Trump won't hate him any more than they do now.

About that -
“If those reports are correct, I don’t understand it. The way you do counting is you simply count all of the ballots,” Von Spakovsky said. “You don’t divide. They’re not divided up between the candidates. So the [precinct] reporting that’s coming in ought to be reporting of the total vote count, regardless of who it’s for. So again, if it’s confirmed that there are these weird reports coming out of votes only for one candidate and not the other, you’ve got to question, what exactly is going on?”

Clipping the socialist dems wings -
Why it matters: The new Senate political math could dash the ambitions of some Democrats, including those who have clashed with Republicans.
It could push Biden to go with more centrist options, like Lael Brainard for Treasury or Tony Blinken for State, sources tell Axios.
Susan Rice and Stacey Abrams could be early casualties, depending on McConnell's posture.
But it could also open paths for others, like Sen. Chris Coons, who could benefit from a tradition of senatorial courtesy for quick confirmations of nominees within its ranks.
A source close to McConnell tells Axios a Republican Senate would work with Biden on centrist nominees but no "radical progressives" or ones who are controversial with conservatives.
The Biden agenda would be severely restricted by GOP control, the source added: "It's going to be armed camps."

Quotes
Insight: “Forced to choose, the poor, like the rich, love money more than political liberty; and the only political freedom capable of enduring is one that is so pruned as to keep the rich from denuding the poor by ability or subtlety and the poor from robbing the rich by violence or votes.” —Will Durant (1885-1981)
Re: The Left: “If Democrats had won the White House and the Senate … the country as we know it would’ve ended, not because Democrats have bad ideas — though they do — but because Democrats plan to impose an entirely new system on our country. … With nothing to check their power, the left fully intended to eliminate the traditional American balances within our government, along with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that constrain their power.” —Fox News’s Tucker Carlson
Rhetorical question: “The Pennsylvania AG said Biden would win before polls even opened. The secretary of state tweeted that Trump is so awful it demeans the office to call him president. Is there reason to suspect that maybe these people are allowing late ballots because they want Trump gone?” —Matt Walsh
For the record: “Obvious point here but: media quickly calling states in Biden’s favor, when they’re actually close, and slow-walking the announcements of Trump’s clear victories is not a good look for being trusted or fighting a narrative of an election being stolen from the voters.” —Mollie Hemingway
Socialistic-type return on investment: “Amy McGrath and Jaime Harrison raised a combined $199,004,686 and lost to Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham by a combined 35 points.” —Politico’s Jake Sherman
Voter fraud doesn’t exist: “Need help with your mail in ballot, finding out where to vote, or something else? Call the @PADems Voter Assistance Hotline. Someone will answer and help you out.” —Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro steering voters toward leftist partisans on Election Day (Shapiro recently also said, “If all the votes are added up in PA, Trump is going to lose.”)
Non compos mentis: “These days, I am reminded quite often that you do not have to be white to support white supremacy.” —The Washington Post’s Eugene Scott
Demo-gogue: “Imagine what would be on your screen — or your mind — tonight, if ours were a normal democracy that gives the presidency to whoever earns the most votes.” —Pete Buttigieg, who doesn’t care to accept why America’s isn’t a “normal” democracy
And last… “GOP well-positioned for 2022 in the House and Senate. Biden’s most progressive priorities are DOA in a McConnell-run Senate. But remember: Democrats told you that their top priority was "restoring the national soul” by ousting Trump. They’re sad today because that was a lie.“ —Ben Shapiro

Why do you think that is, Paul?

Botx nancy got her leftist ass handed to her, will she survive? If those new R ladies are anything like our locals tough republican women AOC is going to get her ass kicked regularly. Teed up to crush 2022 -
That means that Biden is on track to be a weak, ineffectual president governing at the mercy of Mitch McConnell's Machiavellian machinations.
So much for the Democratic fantasy — the one that seemingly never dies — of unobstructed rule. Democrats didn't just want to win and govern in the name of a deeply divided nation's fractured sense of the common good. No, they wanted to lead a moral revolution, to transform the country — not only enacting a long list of new policies, but making a series of institutional changes that would entrench their power far into the future. Pack the Supreme Court. Add left-leaning states. Break up others to give the left huge margins in the Senate. Get rid of the Electoral College. Abolish the police. Rewrite the nation's history, with white supremacy and racism placed "at the very center." Ensure "equity" not just in opportunity but in outcomes. Hell, maybe they'd even establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to teach everyone who voted for or supported the 45th president just how evil they really are.

Chief Justice Roberts could have prevented what's happening in PA by disallowing PA's new voting laws that permit any thinking person to vote multiple times with very little trouble. Roberts sided with the libs on SCOTUS to allow the PA rules to stand by causing a tie while Barret was not on board.

GeorgeR: "And if he must depart, that he does so with newfound dignity and decorum, that were it practiced more frequently during his years in office would have guaranteed him a second term."
I think I have to disagree with that. My gut tells me that a more dignified man wouldn't have had the sheer force of will to work through the headwinds from four years of continuous attack. A Jeb! would have been a cowering mass in the closet.
Trump has so much self-belief and such a work ethic, especially in terms of self-promotion, that he'll fight this to the bitter end. Really, you have two possibilities (neither of which is that the Left will hate him more).
. He wins. Highly unlikely but a victory is a victory
. He tarnishes the incoming administration. The charges of cheating will be real enough, true or not, that it gives a sizable part of the population some good solid reason to not play nice with the Harris/Biden administration.
A coupla lessons.
. It take a lot to overcome the built-in superiority of owning MSM and the Bureaucratic party. A lot of core votes are required in addition to the historical advantage given by the electoral college system, difficulty in modifying the Constitution, etc.
. Obviously COVID is the major factor here. Unlike a war, with a visible external enemy, a poor economy or plague gives you some reason for regime change.
. Given the close vote, I'd say that the MSM and main stream social media (MSSM?) were the determining factors. The burying of the riots and the Hunter Biden story (both very juicy, both very photoworthy) was probably enough to throw the election. The incredible demonetization and censorship of Team Red sites/bloggers/youtubers didn't help.
. These are near run things and votes are largely based on emotional response. In addition, the lack of serious people doing serious things for a living makes for an outsize importance to screens 'n keyboards to build that emotion. That's what makes FBIFacebookCIAGoogle so dangerous.
. (and finally) There is no real cost at this point to radicalization by the Right. The Left has shown it's real face in the last several years and with no countervailing force can easily achieve an Endsieg. Given his unique popularity among traditional Americans, it might make some sense for Trump to be the kernel around which a real Resistance forms, but a movement based on a personality has no legs and needs a well-formed philosophical core. Something that's just a mirror image of the Leftist identify politics structure makes for an unsatisfying result.
In the meantime, adieu. Given the likely executive-branch takeover by the Bureaucratic State and intelligence services, and the memory-holing of any charges against the web surveillance companies, I'd feel more comfortable with an improved and more secure model for accessing the internet. Even as a tiny insect in the world, you may not be interested in the State, but the State is very interested in you.

The subject of this post is too serious for moi to joke about or respond to, save some comments that have little to do with the big picture. Can’t see the forest from the trees stuff. Apples and oranges.
I was thinking about the time a few years ago looking at all that was going down in the Dumbing Down of America and told a dear friend that “I am glad I will be dead in 50 years. I am grateful that I won’t live to see the destruction of America. My friend replied, “That’s exactly what my husband said.”
Michael Savage has for a decade or two boiled it all down to Culture, Language, Borders.
Dr. Rebane (sort of) boiled it down to Makers and Takers. There are many facets to the diamond....er...Pandora’s Box.
Guess I am not ready to write about ‘I fear for our beloved Republic’. That captures my sentiment nicely.
The 2nd Amendment was not written after the founding boys just came back from a good hunting trip. Nah, they just came back from fighting a bloody war and liberating this spot on the map from the tyranny of Big Bro. Turn the page and this nation created on this continent is giving away all the God given rights, freedoms, liberties that I cling to.
Seems for the moment we have delayed the seemingly inevitable. In 2016, Citizen Trump threw out a few barricades and blew up some tracks to slow it down. Temporary road blocks. In 2020, it looks like the true Resistance will be coming from the Senate and to a degree, a more Republican House. Guess that means we are still relevant. :). Strike that. 68 million Americans make us relevant. Despite a Big Lie, we are not alone, poorly equipped, and vastly outnumbered.
The Industrial Leftinista Media-Academia-Entertainment-Political Machine Complex came close to having me thinking that once. That was one big Whooper they have been peddling for years. Bring it on, asshats.
Welcome to the Great Divide. Pretty evenly divided as evidenced by the election. Neither side looks to be relegated to the dust bin of history at the moment.
The shots fired in 1775 at Lexington-Concord, the Boston Massacre outrage, from the Green Mountain Boys to The Swamp Fox and all points in between continues on to this hour. ‘Today is a good day to die’ is not a bad battle cry.

Ah counterie. You must not be talking about places where the nervous Trump poll watchers were looking with bionoculers from across the street because some clerk or offical or Gov or Sec of State (not State Legislature) said them RNC poll watchers are allowed, but not on the building...but the DNC officals are. Or blocking out the windows of the rooms where the counting is going on. You R's can observe from the lobby.
So, now that the courts have slapped the Evil Doers hands after the mysterious wee hour switcheroo, now they but video feeds and an observer in the room, roflmao. A wee bit too late. Counting done today.
Duh. there are times the Constitution may be ambigious with the meaning of the common language of the time. Like, what did the founders mean by that phrase or words. Not so when it comes to election rules. It says clearly its all up to "state legislatures". It did not say governors or Sec of States or Lords or Terrority whatever name or title you can think of. In the common language of the time (which is the exact same as the meaning today, The Constitution states clearly "state legislatures." Unambigious. If a governor of election offical tweaks with the legislature laws, then that is clearly unconstitutional. Even state judges are being overruled..after the dirty deeds are done. Yes, even State Justices have to stay in their lane in a country ruled by law, not men. Or supposed too.

Michael Simon, who describes himself as a former staff member in Barack Obama’s administration, replied in the affirmative, linking to what he called the “Trump Accountability Project”:

Once again around the park, James. And no hurry. More will be revealed.
MICHIGAN SOFTWARE DIVERTED GOP VOTES TO DEMS
“This afternoon, the Republican Party of Michigan held a press conference and alleged that a software “glitch” caused thousands of votes for Republican candidates to be counted for Democrats instead:
The Republican Party of Michigan held a press conference Friday afternoon and revealed six thousand Republican votes were calculated for Democrats after a software glitch. That software was used in dozens of counties around the state.
“In Antrim County, ballots were counted for Democrats that were meant for Republicans, causing a 6000 vote swing against our candidates. The county clerk came forward and said, ‘tabulating software glitched and caused a miscalculation of the votes.’ Since then, we have now discovered that 47 counties used this same software in the same capacity,” Michigan GOP Chairwoman Laura Cox said.
Apparently 6,000 votes were switched in just one of the 47 counties that used the same software:“

Game-On for the Coup?
‘It will all go according to plan—unless we stop it.’
“Strictly speaking, a coup is an illegitimate change of government by violent means. But what if you can do it without violence? To win without fighting is best, Sun Tzu says. An ostensibly (“mostly”) peaceful ouster from power is preferable to the use of force because it can much more easily be sold as “our democracy” at work.”

It is not wise to take one’s armor off before the battle begins. Darn, I was going to use that on Punchy before those results came in and made him say, “Nevada County is Blue” on another disaster for him. Anyway, glad Trump still has his armor on and is pissed as hell. And some expect him to be a gentleman with the future of our Republic at stake. Hardly. Tell that to Gentleman Mitt or Bob Dole or Jeb or Marco, not Donald J Trump.
Opps. This should have gone under Scattershots, Election Edition. To err is human, to forgive is divine. Thanks y’all. Oils well.

Well @ 4:19 pm
The Never Trump Republicans yielded soooo much influence through their Lincoln Log on the Carpet Project that Donald J Trump, who carried 90% of the Republicans in 2016, carried 93% of the Republicans in 2020. Expanded the base. Good Job and eat shit William Kristol, aka, Mr Irrelevant and None Too Happy About It. Same to you, Council on Foreign Relations.

Thousands of Michigan ballots that were meant for Republican candidates were wrongly counted for Democrats in at least one Michigan county, according to Michigan Republican Party chairwoman Laura Cox, who said 47 other counties used the same software that experienced this “glitch.”

The Great Divide, illustrated with class.
Pompous Colbert DEMANDS Republicans Speak Against Trump's 'Fascist' Plot to 'Kill Democracy'
......“And that means, for all the predictable behavior of the last few days and the last four years, right now something unpredictable needs to happen: Republicans have to speak up -- all of them. Because for evil to succeed, all that is necessary is for good men to do nothing. So say something right now, Republicans. Not later, not after you've stuck your finger up in the wind or wherever you want to put it. Right now, it's in your best interest.
You only survived this up until now because a lot of voters didn't want to believe everything that was obvious to so many of us: That Donald Trump is a fascist. And when it comes to democracy versus fascism, I’m sorry, there are not fine people on both sides. So you need to choose: Donald Trump or the American people? This is the time to get off the Trump Train. Because he just told you where the train is going, and it's not a passenger train, and he'll load you on it someday, too.
Later, after ripping Mitch McConnell, Colbert continued the rant: "Americans are going to start counting something else, starting right now. They’re gonna count who was willing to speak up. They are going to count who is going to speak up against Donald Trump trying to kill democracy, and they’ll count who will stay silent in the face of this desperate attack on the bedrock institution of this truly great nation."
Then Colbert boasted "We're not going to show you a second of what that sad, frightened fraud said tonight. Because it’s poison, and I like you. He can suck silence. And he can suck my frosted yumnut."
That may be a sequel of sorts to Colbert suggesting Trump was "Putin's cock holster."”

Ya bitches put us on the list but know you are creating an army that will destroy your power in
2022. They should reconsider the idea of coming for us as individuals as we are much better armed.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn has responded to an initiative from far-left Democrats and Never Trump Republicans aiming to target supporters of President Donald Trump by adding them to a list and holding them “accountable” after the election.
Blackburn’s remarks were made in a tweet, which quoted the announcement of the “Trump Accountability Project
“If by undermining America you mean stopping Democrat socialists, not defunding police and blocking the Green New Deal, add me to your list,” Blackburn wrote, adding the hashtag #MAGA.
The effort, which was kickstarted on Friday, was promoted by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY), who wrote in a tweet, “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.”
Lol at the ‘party of personal responsibility’ being upset at the idea of being responsible for their behavior over last four years,” she added in another tweet.

"Antrim County, Michigan, a traditionally Republican county that flipped blue this election has reportedly flipped back to red after a manual recount of votes found thousands of votes for President Donald Trump accidentally went for Joe Biden."
And then they name names of the vote count "system"!!
"Originally the county went blue and showed a win for Biden. However, election officials looked into the results and found the county’s software glitched, according to WLNS. The county uses the ‘Dominion Voting System,’ which is also used in 64 counties across the state including Ingham, Jackson, and Shiawassee, per the same report."

Some of the mulch heads keep blathering how blue things are yet we won the state and congressional office and Doug increased his margin of defeat of whats her name -
But LaMalfa says just how much he and other Republican lawmakers can accomplish will depend on who ends up in the White House. It’s also unclear what party will have a narrow majority in the Senate. And it looks as though Democrats will retain control of the House. On election night, LaMalfa led Denney by eleven points, or 55 to 44-percent. In November of 2018, he won by nine percentage points.

After the 2016 election, the fine students of Oberlin College were horrified that some of their fellow students that walked among them voted for Trump. The student mob raced to the registrar of voters’ office and demanded to know exactly which Oberlin students for Trump. Names, we want names! Who? Who? Who the *@%# are they?? Give us their names!
The voting office said sorry, can’t tell you WHO someone voted for.
I am most certain that their safe place did not feel safe after that. Well, not as safe and maybe never feel the prior safe again.
Sidebar: Oberlin. Lena Dunham (2008) ain’t looking too good lately. And the think Michelle Malkin (1992) went there, but she ain’t exactly welcomed to set foot on campus.

Still, I fear for our beloved Republic. And there is humongous reasons to fear and weep. With Trump gone, all the non-stop 24/7 arrows directed at Trump will now be directed at us. No more standing behind Trump and letting him take all the blows and venom. As Scenes has pointed out in other contexts, ‘we are on our own’ now.
It’s up to each one of us moving forward to absorb the the blows that Trump took that was really meant for each one of us. And it is up to each one of us to fight back, preferably with the zeal of Trump or the passion and toughness of a few R’s in the House leadership.
BTW, is it just me or did the news about C-19 take a hiatus?

Rather than post under ‘The Flaws and Fate of Public Opinion Polling’, this is more about the election. Elections do have consequences. Link is a bit dated (yesterday) in the fast moving times we live in.
‘Trumpism Lives On!’
November 6, 2020 by Patrick J. Buchanan
The American electorate failed to perform its designated role in the establishment’s morality play. Indeed, Democrats ended Tuesday night terrified that America had again turned its back on them and preferred Trump to the leaders and agenda they had put forth
“As of today, the 2020 election has restored to Senate Republicans veto power over any and all administration legislation, be it liberal, progressive or socialist. This election may have made McConnell the most powerful congressional leader since Lyndon Johnson.
With McConnell leading a GOP majority, Democrats would be unable to end the filibuster or pack the Supreme Court, and the GOP majority would have the power to kill the Biden tax plan, “Medicare for All” and the “Green New Deal.” There will be no statehood and two senators for Puerto Rico or D.C., and no reparations for slavery. Mayors and governors seeking blue state bailouts to avoid defaulting on overdue debts will need McConnell’s blessing.”

The Jacobins are not happy and the real battle for the soul of America begins.
“Seriously—you celebrate an election that is (supposedly) going to remove literal Hitler with $9 champagne? (I’ll pass on making a comment about the 1% milk for the time being. . .)”
CIVIL WAR ON THE LEFT (CH 73): WELL, THIS DIDN’T TAKE LONG
The media pixels announcing Joe Biden’s putative victory hadn’t even faded on the screen before the progressive left began firing on Biden. From Jacobin magazine:
No Honeymoon for Joe Biden
“If there was ever a case where the victory of the lesser evil over the greater evil merited busting out a bottle or two of champagne, this was it. But once you’ve sobered up, remember that being less evil than Trump is fully compatible with being an implacable enemy of the working class. The incoming Joe Biden administration doesn’t deserve an ounce of credit for having the right intentions or a day of progressives patiently waiting to see how it acts before pivoting to a posture of opposition. . .”
Have fun with these folks, Joe.

WH Harrison in 1840, Lincon in 1860, Garfield in 1880, McKinley 1900, Harding 1920, Roosevelt in 1940, Kennedy in 1960. Reagan broke it with a near miss, shot but not dead, 1980, Bush was missed in favor of NYC on 911.
Does anyone think Reagan broke it for a Democrat? Ha!

My, my. It’s it just me, or did anyone else notice the blatant hypocrisy of the Dems partying in the streets yesterday? No, not the violation of social distancing and lack of masks that drove the Lib media bonkers when that happened at Trump rallies.
What I am referencing is the Dems waving American flags. For months and months (years?) we have been deluged with statements and articles of how triggering and frightening it was seeing those Trumpsters waving American flags, a true symbol of Hilter and his Nazi followers. The American flag is one big fat trigger button for our creatures on Left. “Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel." and all that.
America, they tell us, was never great and is so far unsalvageable that it cannot be redeemed. The only remedy for our socialists, Antifa, BLM, and so called illiberal ‘liberals’ that it must be wiped off the face of the map (and history books) and built anew, leaving no trace of its former existence. Burn it down. Burn, baby, burn. Burn it ALL down.
Now that Orange Bad is gone, let’s wave the flag again!, roflmao.
Still, I fear for our Republic, for which I stand. “Eternal Vigilance is the Price of Liberty” rings evermore true today, even if Thomas Jefferson did not say it. As Emerson wrote, “ What you do speaks so loudly, I can’t hear what you’re saying”. Thus, the battle continues:
‘IT BEGINS: Schumer Declares Democrats Will ‘Change America’ If They ‘Take Georgia’ Senate Seats’

Gregory 1210pm - 'Identitarian' is a made up word and not in the dictionary - no blame, no shame for doing it. It has just too many letters in it to communicate its meaning. We no longer write 'parlour' or 'colour' or 'catalogue' of ... on this side of the pond, and for good reason.
I also get to make up more compact strings that communicate just as effectively which are also not yet in the dictionary. 'Identarian' is one of those.
