Except of course Michael Flynn was never the "DNI" or Director of National Intelligence in the Obama administration or any other administration.

Michael Flynn was the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, in the Obama administration, which is one of several intelligence organizations that report to the DNI.

He was also of course the National Security Advisor for about 20 days under Trump, before he got fired for lying to Mike Pence about discussions during the campaign with know assets of Russian intelligence, which is kind of the opposite of what you claim he joined he army to do, "...to fight the Russians."

Steven. Flynn did not lie. There were two separate issues that have been mixed together as water and leaves make tea, thus becomes one by the Spin Zone. I am surprised that you drank the Kool-Aide...er....tea.

Of course Flynn talked to the Russian Ambassador. He talked to the Russians about not escalating the tension between the two countries caused by Obama’s 11th hour slapping of new sanctions. Told the Rooskies to not go overboard in response to Obama’s new sanctions and box the new administration in with a big tit-for-tat. If the Russians counter with big sanctions, then the US will counter with more sanctions and it will be an endless spiral. Not a good way to start. Basically, Flynn said that the US would appreciate it if Russia should some restraint. They did. Putin had all the US diplomats and their kids and family over the Red Square to celebrate Christmas, hosted by Russia, lol. Do your thing at the Kremlin, put it would be nice if you showed some restraint.

The existing sanctions (previous ones) were not discussed. Flynn shied away from the topic when brought up, neither went their. Of course the Russians are still pissed about the US Magnitsky Act and always want to discuss its repeal....but not discussed. No discussing the ‘sanctions,’ but Russia’s response to the sanctions were.

Flynn did not lie to the FBI, nor offer a denial. It depends on what topic the FBI asked about. It’s all water under the bridge now. The FBI knew exactly what Flynn discussed with the Ambassador before they walked in to his office. They had the recordings.

Anyway, did Flynn lie to Pence? That’s the charge and why Trump fired him.

Then the FBI learned that Flynn, as an official in the Trump transition who was designated to become the president’s national security adviser, had had communications in December with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The government was monitoring Kislyak, and recordings showed that Flynn did nothing inappropriate; there was no ground to reopen or continue the counterintelligence investigation or to begin a criminal investigation.

Likewise, DOJ never would have charged Flynn criminally with violating the Logan Act — a moribund, unconstitutional prohibition against freelance diplomacy. In the DOJ’s 150-year history, the Logan Act has never been charged. No one has ever been convicted for violating it; there has been no case since 1852. To say it would be a preposterous basis for indicting a president-elect’s top security adviser puts it mildly.

DOJ now theorizes that if the Flynn interview was not connected to a properly based investigation, any alleged false statements he made could not have been material. Both Flynn and the investigators, moreover, knew the Kislyak discussions were recorded. Flynn stressed that the agents could listen to the conversation if they wanted to know what was discussed. Any misstatements during the interview could not have affected the FBI’s understanding.

A more indisputable rationale for dropping the Flynn case would have focused, not on a legal flaw, but on the factual inadequacy of the prosecution’s evidence. Simply stated, there is no way prosecutors could have proved Flynn’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

First, Flynn’s statements to investigators were equivocal. That creates significant questions about whether inaccuracies in his description of the Kislyak discussions were honest failures of recollection, not lies. The interview happened about a month after the Kislyak communications. In the interim, Flynn had hundreds of conversations with foreign counterparts. It would have been a challenge for anyone to remember the words of a conversation under those circumstances; and, in their legerdemain, the FBI strategically refused to refresh Flynn’s recollection by playing recordings or showing a transcript.

Second, the FBI and prosecutors took inconsistent positions on whether Flynn intentionally misled them. The interviewing agents believed he was truthful, if forgetful. Director Comey reportedly said the question of whether Flynn lied was a “close call.” Assuming this is so, a close call is not proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

Third, the agents went out of their way to deceive Flynn about the purpose of the interview, at which they hoped to trip....... [and on and on it goes, from the federal prosecutor who prosecuted the Blind Shiek Case as well as a decades more]. Just the facts ma’am potatohead.

Green's page featured several recent postings that reference the teachings of the Nation of Islam, a Black separatist movement that does not follow the traditional teachings of Islam, and its leader Louis Farrakhan. Nation of Islam has been classified as a “designated hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center because of what the SPLC calls “deeply racist, antisemitic and anti-LGBT rhetoric of its leaders.”
