The professionally produced prime-time J6 congressional kabuki has the obvious dual objectives to 1) divert the electorate from the incompetence and trumpeted disastrous policies of Bumblebrain’s administration (here), and in the process 2) pillory Trump as the Dems’ perennial punching bag. The one-sided charade is celebrated by the lamestream’s idiot pundits, and the latter objective is even uncritically abetted by conservative outlets such as FN and the WSJ. Therein my critique of the WSJ’s editorial policy centers on their dismissal of the 2020 election ‘fraud and irregularities’ allegations is based on nothing but citing a chain of opinions by certain judges, Trump administration officials, and Republican politicians – a chain of he-said, she-said reports. A more persuasive indictment of Trump’s attributed Big Con of his supporters would be to also cite major attempts to support the ‘stolen election’ claims such as what happened in Wisconsin (here), as shown in the ‘2,000 Mules’ documentary (here and here), and Mollie Hemingway's Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections (2021). Heads up journalism would have presented the existential evidence as to why these were dismissed by those investigating last November’s election. Instead, they leave knowledgeable readers with obvious questions unanswered.
The collectivists of the Left don’t understand human nature – that has been the evidence cited over the last century by many political observers (including me in these pages). They simply have no clue about how or what individual motivations contribute to sustainable social orders and organizations. The only human response the Left has discovered is the elicitation of confessions under torture as demonstrated in the dungeons of Stalin, Mao, Castro, … . This overall deficit has been uniformly absent in today's political commentaries by the Right, who dun the Left’s policies without giving the underlying reasons why they have never worked, and can never work. Finally, we have an exception in the WSJ’s 11jun22 piece by Peggy Noonan – ‘The Boiling Over of America’. Therein she covers a litany of fundamental and unredeemable deficits of the progressive’s mind. Examples –
- They don’t listen to anybody. To stop them you have to fire them. They’re not like normal politicians who have some give, who tack this way and that. Progressive politicians have no doubt, no self-correcting mechanism.
- They are more loyal to theory than to people. If the people don’t like the theories the progressives impose, that’s too bad; the theory is pre-eminent.
- The progressive can’t understand why. (E.g. SF’s recalled progressive DA Boudin) tells reporters the voters are “in a bad mood” because of inflation and housing costs.
- A final characteristic of progressive politicians is that they tend to be high-IQ stupid people. They are bright and well-educated but can’t comprehend the implications of policy. They don’t understand that if an 18-year-old is repeatedly arrested for assaulting people on the street and repeatedly let go, his thought may not go in the direction of, “What a gracious and merciful society I live in, I will do more to live up to it.” It is more likely he will think, “I can assault anyone and get away with it. They are afraid of me.”
[Update] Dead people are voting, no matter how vehemently it is denied in the lamestream and by their grassroots sheeple. And our corrupt LE authorities and judicial system do nothing to get hundreds of thousands of the dead off the country’s voter rolls. “The Public Interest Legal Foundation’s database of the country’s voter rolls found nearly 350,000 deceased registrants before the 2020 election. The inevitable question is always, well did any of them vote. Unfortunately, some always do.” (more here)
[12jun22 update] Re the J6 imbroglio and Pence's constitutional power over the proceedings to certify the vote. I am reposting this from a recent comment stream where I answered a liberal commenter about possible outcomes of the 6jan21 congressional certification of the electoral college votes. “First, we presume that the congressional certification was never meant to be a pro-forma kabuki ritual. Were that not so, then all attendees could have been replaced by their cardboard cutouts, or they could have mailed it in. Second, given that the certification, by those gathered, was to be performed after due consideration of the submitted materials, then the designated process had to have the ability for more than one canned outcome. … Constitutional scholars are still debating what that decision space should look like - e.g. accept as submitted; reject submittal and return to states with instructions for resubmittal; table proceeding to give time for further study of any material contentions, inviting both sides to come and testify before resuming the certification process; and so on. You and yours, of course, were awaiting a kabuki performance; the other half of the country had concerns about the election.”
Readers should note that this aspect of the J6 proceedings has never been discussed in the media, which presumes without pause that only one outcome is supported by the Constitution. Is this an intellectual bridge too far, or does the media correctly assess the public’s inability to parse the unexamined requirement of the proceedings to end with certification, arrived at through several possible contingencies ranging from immediate acceptance of the electoral votes to going through various further procedures of vetting the votes before finally certifying them? To the nation’s hoi polloi it is presented as immediate certification or our democracy comes crashing down. President Trump was right insisting that VP Pence did not have to immediately certify the votes, but wrong in restricting the only alternative to summary rejection of the November 2020 election results - another nuance beyond the media and the public.

As the $100.00 fill up becomes common, folks just don’t care as much about what happened 18 months ago. The $100.00 tank of gas is the game changer, as if the game has not already changed since Biden took office. Nobody except a small minority of voters has J6 on their top 5 priorities, or top 10.
. Gas, food, rent, the economy, education, inflation…J6 is not a priority…except for the Dem media and those desperately still crying wolf to an increasing dwindling crowd. The ratings are in….sucks to be putting all hopes on J6. Folks just ain’t that much into it. Low priority.

Before you wrote this scattershots did you read the opinion given to Pence by his lawyer as to why he should not halt the certification process? I provided a link earlier. Just to give you easy access I'll give you the link again.
"A day before a mob of Donald Trump supporters smashed their way into the Capitol to disrupt the transfer of presidential power, then-Vice President Mike Pence’s top lawyer dashed off a fateful memo.
In the three-page document, attorney Greg Jacob concluded that if Pence were to embrace Trump’s demand that he single-handedly block or delay the counting of electoral votes on Jan. 6, he would be breaking multiple provisions of the Electoral Count Act, the law that has governed the transfer of power since 1887."
Here is the link to the transcript. Let me know what you think.

PaulE 320pm - This doesn't work for me, nor would the Electoral Count Act pass constitutional muster since it seeks to make the certification a foregone process, i.e. a kabuki dance, of government doings which our Constitution does not countenance. Were SCOTUS to rule on it today, it would be struck down. The 1877 law was desperate measure passed at a desperate time for our country trying to sort out the aftermath politics of Reconstruction while wanting not to cause another 'civil war'.

Paul 3:20 - "...the opinion given to Pence by his lawyer"
Oh - you mean like the opinion the whore's lawyer (the one in prison) gave her?
Lawyer's opinions have become the equal of court rulings now, Paul?
Paul's standards for what we should obey are all over the map.
Could it possibly be that the lawyer was simply trying to cover his (and Pence's) ass?
That is what a lot of lawyers are paid to do.
And - that was then - before all the details of what the Dems had done in the election run up.
The situation is (as with all situations) dynamic and what people think changes as the facts unfold.
We all notice Paul has dropped the 'insurrection' nonsense and has moved on to "this is what his lawyer said".
Congress was inconvenienced for a while by a small scale riot and then carried on.
There was never, at any time any chance for any member of Congress to be actually harmed.
One bullet ended the whole deal.
In most all of the dozens of violent riots across our nation the summer before, the police never even fired one single round. Even after citizens were assaulted and their property was destroyed.
Jan 6th was a nothing except for the Dems ability to blow it into a diversion from from the disaster we are falling into with our economy.

George
Well he was Pence's lawyer at the time and he gave him the opinion that it would not be constitutional to not certify the election. So you are saying then that Pence could have stopped the certification and Trump would have continued as President till things were sorted out. Do you feel there was good cause to do that? Keep in mind that there was no evidence that Trump won the election at that time and not even now.

TULSI GABBARD: I heard and watched what [Cheney] said last night and here's the reality as we look at what they said and we look at what we will continue to likely hear as these hearings go on: Everything that Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger say and do has to be seen through the lens of their motivation...

‘Exclusive: Capitol Police failures on Jan. 6 foreshadowed in earlier warnings, memos show’
Between 2017 and 2020, multiple red flags were raised about preparedness, training and intelligence, records show
“A Just the News review of hundreds of pages of Capitol Police records found that Sund’s concerns were echoed to Congress by multiple other bodies – the Government Accountability Office, the Capitol Police Inspector General and the Capitol Architect among them – all of whom warned between 2017 and 2020 that the department:
suffered from a dysfunctional relationship with its governing board,
possessed outdated security equipment;
needed to improve intelligence analysis;
and struggled to manage its human capital.
The Capitol Police after-action report on the Jan. 6 tragedy confirmed each of those deficiencies – forewarned for years – played a role in the 53 sweeping intelligence and security failures that contributed to the department’s inability to contain a violent crowd before it breached the Capitol and put lawmakers working to certify the November 2020 election results in grave danger.“…..
Added Rep. Elise Stefanik, the No. 3 House Republican: "We deserve to have full transparency into what her office knew why they refused to support President Trump's request for the National Guard, what intelligence they received and why they left the Capitol so ill-prepared.
"We know that the Capitol Police was half staffed, we know that they weren't provided with adequate training, that they had expired equipment," she added. "All these questions are really important to make sure that the violence on January 6, which Republicans have condemned, never happens again."
>>>> “Another glaring finding in the after-action reports was that key equipment like the locks on the House and Senate chamber doors failed and that an elevator to a secure portion of the Capitol had never been upgraded to include security-controlled access.”

You're polling report on Biden is not true. While it's very bad Trump exceeded it several times in his 4 years. Also Bush was down by 36 when he left office. You can check my numbers here:

Paul….
You can compare all you want. 6 out of 10 say it was better under Trump and only 2 out of 10 say it’s better under Biden (economy).
50 Democrat US Senators were asked if Biden should run again in 2024 and only 4 said ‘yes’.
I know how much you yearn for Trump to run again as it will help the Democrats in 2024, but the Jan 6 Committee is doing earnest to make sure Trump will never hold elective office again. You best have a talk with Nancy because she is defecating on your keyboard, your handheld devices and your hopes and dreams. She deserves it. Nancy and Joe Biden are so old, so utterly decrepit, so senile that you should put some homemade hot lunch Hersey’s Kisses of your own to place on her desk. Neither she nor Biden will be able to tell the difference.
Back on topic. The Dems have hired Miley Cyrus to do the half time show on the next televised performance of the Jan 6 Committee…the committee devoid of a true hearing. It ain’t no hearing, period.
The Dems and Nancy cancelled the next performance written and produced by a former ABC media producer today or tomorrow because of “scheduling conflicts.” Sounds more to me that after looking at the great interest the premier caused, it’s back to the drawing board and need to juice it up a bit.
The networks all gave the Dems free airtime for the launch, but with those numbers…well…corporate media is still a business and live and die by rating. Money talks, BS walks.
Stay tune folks for the episode featuring the Secret Bombshell Witness! How gripping. How exciting. Like living in a B Movie. Imagine throwing a party and no one shows up.
Hugs and Hersey Kisses on the tail end.

re: The professionally produced prime-time J6 congressional kabuki
'Out of touch' Dems ignoring America's struggles to assuage Trump obsession, Stefanik says
“The No. 3 House Republican says Democrats are so obsessed with using the Jan. 6 investigation to settle scores with former President Donald Trump that they are "missing a huge chance" to address the crime, inflation, drug scourge and supply chain shortages that most trouble Americans…….
"I think this is the Democrats, you know, really desperate attempt to try to change the narrative away from all these crises that the American people know their policies have created, Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N..Y, told the Just the News, Not Noise television show on Friday night.
Stefanik, the House Republican Conference chairwoman, said the Democrats' first prime-time hearing on the Jan. 6 riots Thursday night was an "abject failure" and a "partisan political circus" that signaled to America they'd rather obsess over Trump than tackle the country's most pressing needs like soaring gas and food prices and the fentanyl crisis that is the single leading cause of death of adults between 18 and 45.
"They're missing a huge chance," she said in a wide-ranging interview. "Wouldn't that be nice to have a primetime hearing on any of those crises? That's what the American people are yearning for. .... That's how out of touch Democrats are with what's actually happening across this country."…..
"The purpose of the Jan. 6 committee with only Nancy Pelosi appointees is not to focus on how to make sure the Capitol is more secure," she said." And they're not focused on getting to the facts that led up to Jan. 6. What they are focused on is punishing their political opponents, smearing Donald Trump, smearing his voters and smearing Republican members of Congress who have called out this committee as illegitimate which is factually correct."“

Britain's Nat Health having delays:
https://www.bbc.com/news/health-61791151
"Delays unloading ambulances at busy hospitals are causing serious harm to patients, a safety watchdog is warning. The Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch has been investigating how the long waits are delaying 999 emergency response times across England.
Kenneth Shadbolt, 94, waited more than five hours for an ambulance after a bad fall - an accident that proved fatal. Logs show that in his final 999 call he asked: "Can you please tell them to hurry up or I shall be dead."
"The BBC has spoken to people who have spent hours waiting outside emergency departments this year, sometimes transferred between different ambulance vehicles because there is no room to treat them in the hospital itself.
The Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB) says the delays are causing harm to patients, including some deaths. "We are no longer using the word 'risk' in this investigation, because risk is being realised and is now harm,"
Doctors and paramedics have become increasingly concerned about long ambulance wait times across the UK this year. In England as a whole, the average response for a category two emergency, such as a heart attack or stroke, was almost 40 minutes in May - more than twice as long as the 18-minute target."
Maybe Congress can free up some J7 or J8 time to keep the U.S. from reaching this type of care.

All they and their grassroots lackies can do is publicly admire the emperor's new clothes, to the consternation of the rest of us.

They did what they wanted to and we are all now paying the ever rising price. They went woke and we all are going broke for their virtue signaling -
American energy is suffering from a lack of longterm investment, which temporary fixes cannot alleviate, global head of commodities at Goldman Sachs Jeff Currie said on Thursday.
Downplaying the Ukrainian war’s impact on oil prices, Currie said soaring energy prices are due to a lack of U.S. investment in the fossil fuel sector.
“I want to emphasize demand destruction or demand slowdowns is not a fix to this problem,” Currie stated.
Currie said for a decade the U.S. has not invested into oil refineries and oil production capacity to properly mitigate price shocks.
“There is only one longterm fix to this problem and that is investment, harnessing large amounts of capital into this space to debottleneck it,” Currie said.
“What are the reasons for the lack of capital investment?” Currie asked. Naming ESG, Environmental, social, and corporate governance, Currie explained too much focus on leftwing investment strategies is one of the main reasons the U.S. is unprepared for energy price shocks produced by a variety of factors.
In 2020, then-candidate Joe Biden promised to wage a war on the American oil industry by terminating subsidies and drilling feasibility.
He has made good on his promise. Into Biden’s second year in office, his administration has driven up private and public financing costs of oil drilling, halted drilling on public lands, and canceled the Keystone pipeline.
Gas prices reflect his policies. On Thursday, the national average gas price remained above $5 per gallon. Diesel fuel also reached a record high, driving up transit costs, food costs, and construction costs.
Trump warned voters that if Biden won the 2020 election, the price of gas would reach at least $7.00 per gallon. “If Biden got in, you’d be paying $7, $8, $9. Then they’d say ‘get rid of your car!’”

re: The professionally produced prime-time J6 congressional kabuki has the obvious dual objectives…….
The Justice Department is again asking the Democrat-led committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot to turn over interview transcripts, saying the delay "complicates" the agency's own probe.
“The Select Committee’s failure to grant the Department access to these transcripts complicates the Department’s ability to investigate and prosecute those who engaged in criminal conduct in relation to the January 6 attack on the Capitol,” reads the June 15 letter, according to Politico. “

Gotta wait until after the mid-terms I reckon. Looks like the DOJ will have to ask again and again.

George and the RR's:
Here's a direct quote from Trumps Truth Social on Sunday morning regarding his phone conversation with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger
"My phone call to the Georgia Secretary of State, with many other people, including numerous lawyers, knowingly on the line, was absolutely PERFECT and appropriate. YES, it was a PERFECT CALL (and so was the second call for which the Washington Post was forced to do a major, and somewhat embarrassing, retraction). Thank you!"
His phone call to Brad Raffensperger included this quote that he won the George election.
"There’s no way I lost Georgia. There’s no way. We won by hundreds of thousands of votes," .
Do you believe that Trump was lying when he said that in his attempt to influence a public official to challenge the election?
