George Rebane
Per the suggestion of one of our readers to gather under its own category all things concerning the ongoings of our intrepid former president Donald Trump, at Typepad’s pleasure I am attempting to add the category of ‘All Things Trump’ in an effort to cleanse future RR’s comment streams of the years-long repetitive Trump-related flotsam and jetsam, especially the ongoing drone of TDS comments. Readers who continue to enjoy such affinities now have a place to go, consume, and contribute to these diatribes. We’ll try inserting here from time-to-time fresh ‘sandbox like’ TDS entries to this category to maintain currency with the 2024 election’s advent. So this is your first repository for all-things-Trump comments.
I will do my best to delete Trump-drivel from other comment streams.
“I will do my best to delete Trump-drivel from other comment streams.”
May not be necessary as long as Dead Psul continues his self-imposed exile. Not only has he become more and more irreverent with each passing month, he has become boring. A punch line if you will.

Can we get more specific as to what constitutes All Things Trump?
For example, I can understand why former Trump voters now want to distance themselves from his pre-Biden antics.
It is very embarrassing, to say the least, and I am sure people now want to try to forget their past mistakes.
However, we cannot ignore the fact that Trump has not gone quietly away, no matter how much commenters here wish it were true. Trump is still omnipresent, and a 2024 candidate.
Shall we also put everything else pre-Biden in this column including Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton, Obama, and any of other overplayed issues or incidents that commenters are obsessed with in here as well?
Maybe instead of "Trump Derangement Syndrome" the column could be titled,
"Heads in the Sandbox"

Sweet thread. Hopefully it isn't too much work to maintain.
In the immortal words of one Mr. Paul Emery in 2016:
"I'll bet anyone 1 to 2 that Hillary will win this election Currently Nate Silver has it 80/20 for Hillary It's dropped a little bit in the last few days I think it was 85/15 last week So if you take Trump I will buy you two bottles your choice of $50 bourbon or scotch and if I win you will buy me one bottle my choice which is from a Washington state distillery Any takers ?"

Blop Clop, I can see why it is so hard for MAGA Trumpers to take it. Even their own are throwing Trump under the bus, yet they own him and the effect Trump had on our democracy.
It would behoove our blog host to create separate spaces such as this one for Joe Biden Derangement Syndrome, Hunter Biden Syndrome, Mueller Derangement Syndrome, and so on. That would go along way to cleanse the sandbox of stale turds.

Yet the question remains…yet the fact remains…..ROFLMAO. Bingo!
Got it. We cannot have a TDS post WITHOUT a JBDS or a HBDS counterpart post. But, but, but, what about Trump! It’s not fair! Bush did it too! But, but, but, but…
Still, the question remains….Nah, it don’t. Nope. You gotta do better than that. Opps, you can’t, lol. What’s is all about, Alfie? Open wide for chunkie. Ain’t no cure for TDS. When they proved TDS was “progressive and irreversible, “ they sure got the progressive part right.

HP 1:02 - "Trump is still omnipresent, and a 2024 candidate."
"Omnipresent" - ha ha ha - in your brain, he is.
He ran for POTUS against Hillary and I voted for him.
If he is nominated again by the Rs, I'll probably vote for him again.
His lies are harmless, he nominates good judges and his wife is cute.
Meanwhile he has no power in govt. Biden does.
So I never think about Trump, but I do care about the current bunch in power at the White House and I would advise everyone to pay attention to those people because they are trying to destroy our nation.

Now before you/they climb back up onto the floorboard your orange truck spouting how impressed you are with social workers and grammar school teachers with your critical thinking, I kindly ask that you please try to draw within the lines. Topic is TDS. Focus. Focus to the very best of your ability. Ah, never mind. TDS is irreversible and never rests, never sleeps, never stops destroying any peace of mind normies have with impunity.

roflmao.
You might as well say 'mostly peaceful democracy' and get back to buring down Western Civilization.
I think I'll have to track down some of Trump's new campaign speeches. The man lives for hullaballoo and is bound to really go for the gusto, even at the cost of success. There's plenty to attack in modern 'progressive' shibboleths and no other major political figure will dare go there.
Exciting times.

"In the 19dec22 Sandbox Mr scenes offered an intriguing suggestion (830am) in an attempt to eliminate the detritus of TDS and things gratuitously Trump from continually contaminating practically every other topic with yet another boring lap around the Trump barn. He suggested that RR add a Trump category and restrict posting of Trump-centric comments to that category. I envision it being structured like the Sandbox with dated, and perhaps even topical, labels so that the comment streams don’t become too long. I need to noodle on this and invite readers’ ideas about how it would work. gjr]"

"whine....nooo....not more Cohen....jeez try something new for a change."
ah well. I think it's pretty cool that someone can make any kind of living off of live music.
I expect that it's normal for a small area to basically run through the same people again and again. You not only have local acts, but proven shows that bring out the same audience. Supply and demand. Once the HollandRayoFraserTooinskySiouxKammMacdonaldMcCann thing runs it's course, you start over. If someone dies who had any original music, you have a 'Tribute to the Music of Dead Person'. Wash rinse repeat.
I figure that it's an honorable profession akin to doing the live music booking for a bar. In an aging population, defending a bar stool looks less attractive. Admittedly there are a lot of that Leonard Cohen program, to me an unknown guy-with-a-hat, but anyone who can extract a decent living from that business looks like a genius.
alas, no Trump thus far.
The great man speaks. Impromptu speaking as an art form.

Trump Derangement Syndrome
Why, Trump is a candidate for 2024? Lost faith?
"A Pennsylvania family found shot dead in their backyard last week in what police say appears to be a suicide pact, included a mother and daughter who loved bowling and were devout Christian conservatives, people who knew them said.
Stabley said the Christian, churchgoing family “was never shy about letting anybody know what their beliefs were” when it came to religion and politics. Morgan and Deborah “very, very huge” supporters of former President Donald Trump, Stabley said.
“They were just so hell-bent on Trump winning, like this could be in the end if he doesn’t,” Stabley said, referring to an instance when he saw them just before the 2020 election. He said he stopped seeing the two after that.
A neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of personal or professional retaliation in their town, said the family had a "preoccupation with religion, especially on the dad’s part." The family's front yard was also "littered" with Pro-Trump political signs during the elections, and anti-abortion signs when Roe v. Wade was overturned, the neighbor said."

How about asking to find 10,000 votes in Georgia from Brad Rafennsberger?
Asking Mike Pence not to certify the vote?
What about the multiple states with alternate slates of electors to not certify Biden and substitute Trump instead?
How about him whining for two years, and 60+ failed lawsuit attempts, that he really won 2020 and still does to this day?
I mean how brain dead does he think his followers are?
He never won the popular vote the first time, then boned the whole covid experience with his outright lies in an attempt to prop up the stock market in an election year, and lo and behold he came up 7 million short because of it.

Jan Sixers must be dumb as dirt,
"Former President Donald Trump’s Save America PAC raised tens of millions of dollars on false claims of election fraud, and now the feds want to know how it was spent.
On Sunday, The New York Times reported that special counsel Jack Smith’s team has subpoenaed a “vast array” of Trump vendors, “posing questions related to how money was paid to other vendors, indicating that they are interested in whether some entities were used to mask who was being paid or if the payments were for genuine services rendered.”
While the details of Smith’s inquiry are unknown, we do have something of a road map. The report from the Jan. 6 House Select Committee, along with publicly available Federal Election Commission and IRS filings, can shine a light on some of those vendors, offering some insight into what may have caught the DOJ’s eye.
First, it’s a fact that Trump has literally masked his vendors. Prior to the election, the Trump 2020 campaign had already routed more than three-quarters of a billion dollars in expenses to unknown subvendors through an in-house company, called American Made Media Consultants. That arrangement was targeted in a FEC complaint from watchdog group Campaign Legal Center, which alleged that the campaign used the scheme to effectively launder money and conceal from the public the true recipients of donor funds."
“The Trump political organizations illegally concealed hundreds of millions of dollars in spending, and the dysfunctional Federal Election Commission could not even manage to do its job and open an investigation,” Noti said. “An investigation by the Special Counsel into where that money went will ultimately shed light on one of the biggest campaign finance violations in history.”
