[Here’s the latest goings on in our idiot nation. The leftwing lamestream media are cancelling Jason Aldean’s ‘Try that in a small town’ song that he recorded in front of the Maury County courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee. Why? Because they claim people are outraged by the song’s lyrics protesting progressive riots and criminality in general, and the choice of its venue as having been where a black man was lynched in the 1920s. Those outraged come from the eternally ignorant cohort of Americans who couldn’t identify the Atlantic Ocean on a world map, but somehow know such historical esoteria connected with an obscure mid-western courthouse. gjr]

How about the way Trump aht the Trumpers goes after anybody who disagrees with them about anything?
Here's an example
"“We are never going back to the party of Paul Ryan, Karl Rove and Jeb Bush,” he vowed. “If those opposing us succeed, our once beautiful USA will be a failed country that nobody will even recognize, an open borders, lawless filthy communist nightmare.”

(aht? perhaps that is 'and'? )
So you are saying that Trump and *all* Trump supporters *always* go after *anybody* who disagrees about *anything*?
That sounds like a tough thing to prove old son. A single instance, or even multiple ones, doesn't meet that requirement.
Sounds to me like you are just exaggerating to stir some shit, but that's what trolls do.

re: Gregory@1:03PM
I'll take a look.
Mostly what I did, as usual on that kind of thing, is do a googlesearch on news limited to dates previous to Trump. It's not a bad idea generally as they all went insane in 2015-2016.
The Kennedy/Nixon situation came up quite a lot. Hoo-whee that must have been a crooked election although any Modern Major Democrat would consider the chicanery and results as 'good'.
Naturally, and to send like a broken record, I think that lawfare has the desirable result of pulling back the covers on the way that things really work. If Trump can't put together a mafia as ruthless and powerful as his opponents, you can argue he's not qualified to be President. I'd say that he's as principled as LBJ or the Kennedys, but maybe hasn't put together the organization and has relied too much on a supernatural ability to do retail politics.

One of those things you run into.
"Complex Systems Won’t Survive the Competence Crisis"
"...The core issue is that changing political mores have established the systematic promotion of the unqualified and sidelining of the competent. This has continually weakened our society’s ability to manage modern systems. At its inception, it represented a break from the trend of the 1920s to the 1960s, when the direct meritocratic evaluation of competence became the norm across vast swaths of American society.

The NY Post: "WASHINGTON — A senior FBI official told Twitter that Hunter Biden’s laptop was legitimate on the same day The Post published the first article in a bombshell reporting series on documents linking President Biden to his son’s foreign business deals, according to deposition testimony released Thursday by the House Judiciary Committee.
That confirmation was not shared with voters ahead of the 2020 election as dozens of former intelligence officials and then-presidential candidate Joe Biden falsely suggested that incriminating documents were Russian

A decent question. I suppose there are different possibilities. Too much of a hassle. Sketchy doings. Disagreement with those records being public at all for some aesthetic reason. Because 'I told you so', seeing as how public officials tend to cloak themselves in some kind of holiness of the office. Dunno.

Great (long) reference article. Very scary. Maybe all of the failures discussed in the paper would have occurred without having the new "equity hires" employed. These folks were known as incompetents a short 40 years ago.
Toward the end of the piece:
"The U.S. has embraced a novel question: what happens when the men who built the complex systems our society relies on cease contributing and are replaced by people who were chosen for reasons other than competency?"
Ooh, ooh teacher, I know, I know! Let's do an experiment and find out. Oh wait, you said we started that experiment 20 years ago. I must have missed it - that was about when I retired.

What does he do?
"Devlin Montfort’s research interests include the epistemology of engineering practice and education, how to develop conceptual understanding of complex natural and engineered systems, and how to promote success for students on their own terms. Qualitative research methods: semistructured interviews, thematic analysis, and ethnographic and phenomenological observations."

"how dare they show us the actual photos from the laptop that doesn't exist"
Well, there is that.
An odd situation. While it sounds like this is all about Hunter Biden, and the sub-question of whether a father with such a shitty family has the ability to be President much less a Senator, I figure that all the ruckus about the Sleazy First Son is unimportant by now.
The main arguments are:
1. Did members of the federal government bury the story (of course they did, are you kidding me)?
2. How much influence did Big Joe use to help the Sleazy First Son make some baksheesh?
3. How much of the baksheesh made it into Big Joe's hands (or close enough)?
Are the Bidens more crooked than LBJ, Trump, the Kennedys, or Nixon? Probably. Does it matter? Probably not. While there's a lot of ruin in a society, I'd say that the decline is inevitable. The existence of a few famous grifters, as opposed to the sheer mass of them dragging the beast down, probably won't make a lick of difference.

or, as one James Howard Kunstler chats about it this week:
"...Forgive me for bringing this up, but remember the first impeachment of Mr. Trump on the grounds of a phone call to freshly-minted President Z in Ukraine pertaining to some fishy matters around the Burisma gas company? Yes, Mr. T was impeached over a mere inquiry into possible misconduct by a former high US official (being one “Joe Biden,” ex-veep) and his bag-man son. The setup was patently obvious even to us bloggers who enjoy no intimate correspondence with organelles of the DC Blob. A CIA spook “whistleblower” named Eric Ciaramella (sssshhhh) was injected into the scene with help from the devious Col. Vindman at NSA and an assist from Intel Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson… and voila! Recall the solemn pageantry of Nancy Pelosi’s march across the Capitol rotunda with the hallowed bill of impeachment on a satin pillow….
And now, more than three years later, the nation is informed of all the particulars around those Burisma Company’s doings with the Biden family in granular detail ($5-million plus $5-million), laying out just one instance of treasonous moneygrubbing by this family among many grifts in other nations. And in case of any lingering questions — if the news media were not a pseudopod of the Blob — a long roster of bank transfer records has been assembled by Rep. Comer of the House Oversight Committee to validate the deal memos, emails and audio recordings already available for inspection in the alt.news...."

Punchy hasn't put on a Paul Emery Presents show for over three months, and he never had a corporate job that would have funded a decent pension or even a high monthly Social Security check.
I also could use the money from a tidy lawsuit.

Hey....where C-nizzle be? Heard his homeboy Xho Bai Den cured cancer earlier this week...thought he be by to brag about it!

Today will be interesting. A judge has to OK the plea deal for Hunter Biden.
Yesterday something very interesting happened. Just a big "misunderstanding".
Oopsie!

Gregory
Do you believe Trump is lying when he says:
“If I were president, and I say this, I will end that war in one day, it would take 24 hours,” Mr Trump said.
“I know Zelensky well, I know Putin well. I would get that ended in a period of 24 hours. It would be easy, that deal would be easy.”
Posted by: Paul Emery | 26 July 2023 at 08:26 AM
It's a campaign promise, Punch.
Elect him and find out.
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 08:34 AM
Do you believe him Gregory that he will will the war in a day?
Posted by: Paul Emery | 26 July 2023 at 08:57 AM
sd "will end the war"
Posted by: Paul Emery | 26 July 2023 at 10:10 AM
Elect him and find out.
I expect to vote for the LIB.
You will just have to keep punching at windmills
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 10:32 AM
Once again Gregory has refused to oppose Trump even when he makes a ridiculous statement he will end the war in Ukraine in a day. Thats a perfect example of the dumbing down of America.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 26 July 2023 at 11:03 AM
Once again Punchy refuses to accept reality... A vote for the LIB is a vote against the GOP and DEM candidates.
Punchy only punches.
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 11:26 AM
So punch, just wondering... do you have access to any firearms? Pistols?
What caliber(s)?

Oh lookie there -

So, Punchy refuses to declare his firearms. Why, Punchy? They aren't illegal. For most of us.
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 01:06 PM
Gotta love all the so-called """independents""" running around who only bag on the Dems...never met a scumbag Conservative, LoL! Oh, but they will dogpile on anyone once they get direction from Trump Tower.
What is Mr. Pruett going on about? Does he still think that Trump won?
Posted by: Smirking at Stupidity | 26 July 2023 at 01:25 PM
Smirking smells of rotting Pellini.
LoL!
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 01:38 PM
No firearms Gregory
Posted by: Paul Emery | 26 July 2023 at 01:46 PM
So, you're a felon? Figures.
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 02:00 PM
Not a felon Gregory. Where did you get that idea?
Posted by: Paul Emery | 26 July 2023 at 02:33 PM
It's ok, punch. You can be a good person and be a felon.
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 02:39 PM
Not that you act like a good person.
Posted by: Gregory | 26 July 2023 at 03:26 PM
Stupidity 1:25 - "Gotta love all the so-called """independents""" running around..."
In your head.
Can you actually name any or give an example?
Of course not.
and...
"What is Mr. Pruett going on about?"
He explained it in detail. Nothing about Trump.
Another drive-by left-wing moron.
Are there any lefties out there that can intelligently articulate a position?
Maybe comment on the recent convictions of one of the Biden crime family?
Xo Bi Den is already on video bragging about how he followed through on Burisma's orders after they paid the Bidens millions.
Maybe one of you lefties can explain why it is in America's interest to get rid of a prosecutor in Ukraine who just happens to be investigating Burisma for corruption.

Gregory 11:47 - "So punch, just wondering... do you have access to any firearms?"
Firearms??!!
Good Lord, it's already scary he has access to sharp knives and possibly motor vehicles.
Posted by: Scott O | 26 July 2023 at 05:05 PM
Don 5:52 - Biden is practicing for his insanity defense. If he can show a few hours of his gibberish on video, they might let him just slip away to Happy Hills Home for the Aged.
Posted by: Scott O | 26 July 2023 at 05:09 PM
$5 will get you $10 that "Stupidity" is in fact Jeff Pelline.

Looks like they lost the younger gen on the 100 genders thought police -
Interestingly, Generation Z Americans ages 18-24 are “notably less keen on making misgendering a crime than the older millennials,” the survey report states. Among Gen Z, 33 percent think “misgendering” should be a criminal offense, while 48 percent disagree, and the remainder say “neither” or “don’t know.” Other polling this year shows that Generation Z is increasingly accepting the fact there are only two sexes, rising 57 percent in 2023 from 43 percent in 2021.

Poor Scott, You sound like Mitch McConnell. yesterday when he lost the Wi-Fi connection to the chip in his head, latency was high.
What Hunter Biden convictions are you referring to, lol!
Most of your comments are G.I.G.O. parrot speak.
Define shell corporations. Vehicles for limiting liability similar to LLCs? Nevermind, you wouldn't understand.
Define "they paid the Biden's billions? Which Bidens? Hunter? So what?
Billions? Aren't you confusing Hunter with Jared?
