[California Dems are giving ‘butt stupid’ a expanded definition with their new CCW law that prohibits law-abiding citizens to exercise their concealed carry rights in an expanded array of places that include schools, government buildings, prisons, hospitals, airports, and bars. The criminally intent and crazies out there welcome such prohibitions which keep them safe as they carry out their plans for murder and mayhem. It is amazing that we walk the same planet with idiots who believe such laws will reduce ‘gun violence’. gjr]
Ahhhh, fresh litter!
We need to do *something* about the tyranny of gun violence! My own guns have been holding me hostage for years! Help, help, I'm being oppressed!

Schools, government buildings, prisons, hospitals, airports, and bars sound like but stupid places to carry guns.
How about sporting events and concerts?

"Schools, government buildings, prisons, hospitals, airports, and bars sound like but(sic) stupid places to carry guns."
Yet people with bad intent do all the time.
I'm sure the new restrictions will cause the criminals to obey - cause they wouldn't want to break the law!
Perhaps Juanny Boy can point to a fire arm that kills people all by itself.

"Schools, government buildings, prisons, hospitals, airports, and bars"
If there isn't a pat down and/or a metal detector at the entrance and LEA officials to say the person entering is not carrying a concealed firearm, it's a pretend gun free zone.
Is that good enough for you, Jeff?
Posted by: Gregory | 14 September 2023 at 02:54 PM
Interesting that to get the basic license you be denied a license if any of the following apply (see drug related items).
But if you want a Concealed Carry permit you can be a drug addict, etc. but just cannot have been convicted. :)
So you can buy the gun, then become an addict, no worries. Looks like a loophole a lawyer could drive a truck through.
A license shall not be issued to, or will be revoked for any of the following:
An individual whose character and reputation is such that the individual would be likely to act in a manner dangerous to public safety.
An individual who has been convicted of an offense under the act of April 14, 1972 (P.L.233, No.64), known as The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act, or current year drug user as evidenced by an arrest for possession or use of illegal drugs.
An individual convicted of a crime enumerated in Title 18 (PA Crimes Code) section 6105.
An individual who, within the past ten years has been adjudicated delinquent for a crime enumerated in section 6105 or for an offense under The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act.
An individual who is not of sound mind, or who has ever been involuntarily committed to a mental institution.
An individual who is addicted to, or is an unlawful user of marijuana, stimulant, depressant, or narcotic drug. NOTE: Applicants may not hold a medical marijuana card. A medical marijuana card holder is considered an unlawful user for the purposes of LTC. You must surrender your medical marijuana card and as a presumptive user wait one year to apply for a LTC.
An individual who is a habitual drunkard.
An individual who is charged with, or has been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year, except as provided for in section 6123 (relating to waiver of disability or pardons). Typically any Misdemeanor of the First Degree or any Felony but may be lesser graded offenses if related to domestic violence, or equivalent form another state.
An alien who is illegally in the United States.
An individual who has been discharged from the armed forces of the United States under dishonorable conditions.
An individual who is a fugitive from justice. This does not apply to an individual whose fugitive status is based upon nonmoving or moving summary offense under Title 75 (PA Vehicle Code).
An individual who is otherwise prohibited from possessing, using, manufacturing, controlling, purchasing, selling or transferring a firearm as provided for in section 6105 of the PA Crimes Code, or an individual who is prohibited from possessing or acquiring a firearm under the statutes of the United States.

Imbecile Juan 2:08 - "OMG! Hunter lied on a form...or did he?"
Yes he did, Juanny Boy. You are proving to be even more ignorant than I had imagined.
That Hunter had committed multiple firearm related felonies has been obvious for years.
You or I would be in the old gray bar hotel long ago for the same thing. I am amused at the left now thinking that wealthy powerful white men really should just be given a pass if they are Dems. And a corrupt FBI is no big deal. If I had read verbatim from actual leftist posts that I see now daily, to people back in the 70s, absolutely not a single person back then would even start to believe a word of it. I would be hooted out of the room.
But you just keep on posting all of your Biden butt-licking posts. It is amusing to see how you will try to twist the facts around to avoid having to see what a con you have fallen for.
BTW - It's ATF form 4473.

I am getting a real kick to watch the Republican Party implode. What a hoot!
Romney quote:
"I'm not talking about in the next two years," said Romney. "I'm talking over the next decade or so. I just — I mean, populism doesn't work. I quote that H.L. Mencken line, which is, 'To every complex problem there is a solution which is simple, clear, and wrong.' And unfortunately that is what we're hearing."
"And again, on the Trump wing of the party, I haven't heard policy other than saying, we're going to build a wall," Romney continued. "And by the way, he was president for four years and he built 50 miles. What did he get done? The tax change? That was Paul Ryan ... and he had a health care plan. Remember that? That was going — everybody was going to have low-cost health insurance. Never proposed, never saw. He was in four years. So it's not a policy-centric approach, and if you don't have policy to match your rhetoric, ultimately it's not going to be successful."

No evidence squawk the dems today but but but -
Hunter Biden hosted a breakfast meeting between his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, his then-business partner Devon Archer, a prospective international business client — in the vice president’s mansion in Washington, D.C., in 2015, according to a report.
Just the News reported Thursday the prospective business client was international banker Marc Holtzman, who Hunter Biden and Devon Archer were courting for business in Kazakhstan. Holtzman in turn was advocating for former Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov — who is currently imprisoned for treason — to become the next United Nations Secretary General, according to the report.
The meeting was recently disclosed by Archer in congressional testimony, the report said

Have you considered a different language.....it might help with that tortured “English” sentence formulation that we discussed earlier.....(14 September 2023 at 05:48 PM)?
Something not terribly difficult, with the same vocabulary so the learning curve wouldn’t be so steep....but with a certain structural flexibility.
The outline says approvingly that black English eliminates the verb “to be” whenever possible.
“This leads to the deployment of more descriptive and, therefore, more precise verbs,” the outline claims.
So while standard English might say, “She is going out with him,” the black English says, “She going out with him,” says the outline.
It also encourages users to eliminate the word “do.”
So while standard English might say, “What do you think? What do you want?”, black English says, “What you think? What you want?”, the outline says.
The outline says by eliminating verbs such as “be” and “do”, black English has “greater accuracy” in the choice of verb. The outline also notes that to say something really positive in black English, you should “formulate the idea using emphatic negative structure”.
So while standard English would say, “He’s fabulous,” black English would say, “He bad,” according to the outline.
Another example is that instead of “Tina Turner sings out of this world,” black English would say “Ain nobody sing like Tina.”
The outline also urges readers never to use “-ed” to indicate the past tense......
‘Ain nobody sing like Tina’ indeed.....!

President Biden knows he cannot pardon Hunter right now. That would lead to politically and legally disastrous consequences before November 5, 2024. If pardoned, Hunter can no longer plead the Fifth Amendment–and refuse to testify before Congress. Hunter’s Fifth Amendment protections also disappear if Weiss gives Hunter a plea agreement with a prosecution waiver or some other immunity deal that shields him from criminal charges.
Weiss’s charges today continue his deceptive pattern–for years–of protecting Hunter. More troubling, Weiss is protecting President Biden. Indeed, where are Hunter’s charges related to foreign corruption, acting as an unregistered foreign agent, tax evasion, wire fraud, and other criminal charges that could implicate President Biden?"

Nahhh! You see you’re not a professional radio interviewer so your questions are without merit.
A proper question as posed will be sufficiently open ended to enable the interviewer to ask the question and then have sufficient time to go out to the parking lot to hoove a butt and check emails and/or texts while the respondent furiously attempts to figure out just what he or she was really asked.
A question like; ”Do you support pardons for Jan 6 rioters like Trump does if elected?” isn’t asked because Nevada City’s “Stalwart Man about Town” is curious. It’s asked so the questioners progressive bona fides can be displayed.
In socialist Amerika one always has to “keep clapping”.
I take solace in the historical .....that these people were usually the first up against the wall when power changed hands.

Grifters gonna grift.....!
Looks like Henry burned through most of Jack Dorsey’s 10 million in “absolution bucks”! Guess it’s time to start rioting again!

fish emoji 2:23 - You know that no matter how I answered, it would be followed by:
"So - you support people murdering the police - good to know - thanks for clearing that up".
or some such.

Judge Punchy: in his courtroom everyone is guilty!
Posted by: 🐠 | 16 September 2023 at 09:33 AM
Simple question Scott. Do you support Trump giving immunity to Jan 6 demonstrators that broke into the Capitol? There are hundreds who plead guilty and hundreds already convicted.

re 9;57 - Let's see now - next he'll post:
"Since you didn't answer my question, you must be for (fill in something false)."

One more chance Scott. My question is very simple. A yes or no will do. Do you support Trump giving immunity to Jan 6 demonstrators that broke into the Capitol?
Posted by: Paul Emery | 16 September 2023 at 10:20 AM
….. ask him again his position on showering with pre-pubescent girls.
Posted by: 🐠 | 16 September 2023 at 10:26 AM
Stupid question fishhole. Of corse I expect that from someone to embarrassed to use his real name. Use your real name and I'll give you an answer.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 16 September 2023 at 10:58 AM
Punchy, I'd expect everyone voting for Trump would celebrate freedom for all the Jan 6 defendents.
Don't you?
Posted by: Gregory | 16 September 2023 at 11:06 AM
Paul 10:20 - "One more chance Scott."
Going for the full-on Dirty Harry?
Gosh - do I feel lucky?
Posted by: Scott O | 16 September 2023 at 11:10 AM
Gregory 11:06 - A local woman from this area who was at the Jan 6th protest was just sentenced to 30 months for criminal trespass.
Compare that to the folks trying to burn down the police station and fed courthouse in Portland. Most were never even arrested.
How any American citizen can support such a "justice" system is beyond me.
If you murder someone for a "good cause" it's different.

What a leader!

Not voting for Trump Gregory and neither are you so you say.
Freedom for those who smashed down the doors to our Capitol sending our elected representatives fleeing for their lives Gregory? They deserve whatever the due process of the law prescribes for them. What is your answer to your question Gregory?
Posted by: Paul Emery | 16 September 2023 at 12:10 PM
They didn't actually threaten anyone's lives, though, did they?
And many just walked through doors that were opened for them to walk through.
No, I have no plans to vote for Trump. Not much point to it. But if he's locked up I will reconsider my vote.

Gregory
What would your reaction be if a group broke into your house leaving it wide open for the pubic to enter and a mob of hundreds charged through the smashed open doors and windows going through your office taking pictures sitting at your desk? Would you not believe they committed a crime and deserved to be arrested and sent through due process of the law?
Posted by: Paul Emery | 16 September 2023 at 12:48 PM
Gregory Biden he would not be my choice if there is a primary. I liked Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar in the last primary. Also I like Jay Inslee Governor of Washington State. Newsom-no!!! Only good thing would be it would get him out of California.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 16 September 2023 at 01:04 PM
If Pelosi didn't want folk trapsing through the House she should have accepted the troops offered for security.
To this day I'm not sure why she didn't accept them... other than it was President Trump she'd be beholden to.

Shove it where the sun don't shine, Punch. While my home isn't open to the public, the House of Representitives *is*.
Given the private nature of my home, the first guy to break in would have something extra to think about.

Paul - "Freedom for those who smashed down the doors to our Capitol..."
How many actually "smashed down the doors" at the cap on the 6th?
Where's the video?
Vast majority of those convicted did nothing more than walk into the building and walk out. That's a citation and probation anywhere else.
There was a concerted effort by the Dems to try to make sure the protestors and rioters had as much leeway as possible to make a big spectacle out of it. They knew there was going to be trouble and deliberately made sure the police were undermanned so they would be overwhelmed. We know this for a fact. We also know there were feds in the mob but they refuse to identify them or what they were doing. Why?

No surprise except to the wokesters -
Almost 70 percent of Americans don't believe that biological men should be allowed to compete in women's sports, indicating that current laws that restrict participation for transgender athletes are generally in line with U.S. public opinion, according to a Gallup poll.

Paul - you said they "smashed down the doors".
It appears you were lying again.
The video doesn't show any doors being smashed down.
Why wasn't the Natl Guard there to prevent the rioters from getting into the building?
Answer -
Because Nancy Pelosi didn't want them there, even after she had been told that intel had learned there would be a very large crowd.
The Dems wanted this riot and the rioters were stupid enough to provide it.
That doesn't come anywhere near to an "insurrection". And most of the folks involved simply walked through open doors with the police just standing around.

He is a mean one creepy grampa joe -
The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement Saturday they were called Friday afternoon to the campaign event for a report of a man who “had a loaded gun in a shoulder holster and a badge stating he was a U.S. Marshall.” The FBI was also at the scene.
LAPD has identified the man as 44-year-old Adrian Paul Aispuro, who has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, according to police.
Jail records show Aispuro was being held Saturday in lieu of a $35,000 bail. Public records did not indicate if Aispuro had an attorney.
Kennedy said in a Facebook post that his private security detail spotted Aispuro, adding that he is “still entertaining a hope that President Biden will allow me Secret Service protection.”

So Scott the whole thing is a conspiracy organized by the Dems. Can you provide any documentation to the statement "The Dems wanted this riot" ? That is a question but also why did Trump wait for hours while he watched the incident on TV which showed the break in before he summoned any help? I know the Vice President summoned them before Trump.
Posted by: Paul Emery | 16 September 2023 at 04:48 PM
fishole states there were "male senior citizens showering nude with prepubescent girls." You offer no details. Can you provide a link or more info about your contention? You know Who? What? Where? When? Source?v. Never heard of it myself
No wonder you won't use your real name!
